Today we’ll delve into Chapter 13 of Tanya, where the Alter Rebbe delves into the potent impact of even seemingly insignificant thoughts. Just as a tiny rudder steers a massive ship, so too can fleeting negative thoughts alter our course.
The Alter Rebbe teaches us that entertaining negativity, even momentarily, plants a seed in our soul that can blossom into larger challenges. Yet, we’re empowered to choose! Just as we wouldn’t allow a thief into our homes, we can guard our minds from harmful thoughts. Through mindfulness and replacing negativity with positive thoughts about god’s goodness, we can chart a brighter course for ourselves.
