The Viktor Wilt Show

Friday arrives and Viktor Wilt is already operating at approximately 73% human capacity, because his throat is still being held hostage by some mysterious respiratory goblin, his nose spent the previous evening completely barricaded, and the morning begins with nasal spray, Zyrtec, questionable levels of optimism, and the terrifying realization that he is supposed to drive to Park City for the weekend while potentially fighting off whatever microscopic demon has decided to move into his upper respiratory tract. But there is no time to perish peacefully because Viktor has radio to do, Traffic School to host, an interview with the singer of the brand-new metal band Showing Teeth to conduct later, and an entire internet full of people apparently determined to make every possible conversation as stupid as physically achievable. Naturally, the morning begins with Facebook drama, because apparently Viktor committed the unforgivable crime of having an opinion about an Idaho politician while simultaneously being a person who works in radio. The resulting online courtroom immediately produces accusations that he should “stay in his lane,” predictions that he is going to get fired, and the bizarre implication that radio personalities apparently surrender all political opinions the moment they receive a microphone. Viktor’s response is essentially: if everyone else can yell their opinions into a webcam from a basement, why exactly am I prohibited from having one? Then things somehow get even dumber when someone accuses him of being drunk because he played a “best of” show while he was out of the office, despite the fact that he was dealing with private family matters and absolutely does not owe Facebook strangers a detailed medical, emotional, or logistical itinerary of his life. The episode consequently establishes one of its central commandments: stop making assumptions about people you don't know.

From there, Viktor enters the terrifying wasteland of internet discourse and discovers a thread asking what “died in 2020 and never came back,” only to initially misread it as asking who died in 2020, because apparently the brain has decided that Friday mornings are no longer a time for reading comprehension. This sends him spiraling into a depressing inventory of things people believe disappeared after 2020: reasonable prices, 24-hour businesses, common decency, good service, and the general societal ability to behave like a human being instead of a comment-section raccoon. WinCo receives a rare heroic shoutout for still allowing people to buy groceries at ridiculous hours, even if the store is apparently transformed into an obstacle course of cardboard boxes after midnight. Then, because happiness is apparently forbidden, Viktor discovers another online debate asking what concert cliché bands should immediately retire. This launches an entire forensic investigation into the Crimes Against Live Music: ridiculous ticket prices, predictable encores, endless “MAKE SOME NOISE” commands, audiences being forced to sing half the song, blinding stage lights, excessive backing tracks, and bands taking forever to actually appear on stage. Viktor particularly takes issue with people answering the question incorrectly, because apparently even a casual Facebook question must now be treated like the SAT. He also points out that paying $250 for a concert ticket is becoming completely deranged, although he admits he has personally paid around that much for Nine Inch Nails, thereby placing himself directly inside the expensive-concert-ticket crime scene.

The morning then swerves violently into Florida Man territory when Viktor discovers a story about a driver who allegedly got into a road-rage confrontation with a bicyclist, attempted to run the cyclist off the road, got out of his vehicle, attacked him, smacked his phone away, grabbed him by his shirt, and then drove away while still holding onto the guy, resulting in the cyclist being dragged and having his foot run over. Viktor's takeaway is basically that apparently owning a nice Lexus does not automatically install the “don't behave like a lunatic” software update. He then pivots into an extremely important public service announcement for PC gamers: DO NOT GO LOOKING FOR A PIRATED COPY OF GTA 6. With leaked GTA 6 footage circulating online, malware authors have apparently discovered that desperate gamers are excellent bait, and fake copies of the game are being used to infect computers. Viktor's advice is remarkably simple: wait for legitimate information instead of downloading “GTA 6.exe” from a website that looks like it was assembled inside a haunted GeoCities page. He discusses the leaked footage, Rockstar's apparent anger, copyright takedowns, Reddit removing material, conspiracy theories about whether the leaks were somehow intentional, and the looming official extended look that should provide a much cleaner and more legitimate glimpse at the game. The entire GTA 6 segment becomes a perfect collision between modern gaming hype, internet stupidity, malware, crypto scammers, conspiracy theories, and people apparently willing to risk their entire computer because they desperately want to see pixels of a video game several months early.

Then comes the Electric Scooter Tribunal, where Viktor discovers Consumer Reports has tested a bunch of electric scooters and isn't recommending any of them because of injury concerns. This prompts Viktor to remember his own bizarre experience trying to operate one in Salt Lake City, where he apparently managed to lose a battle against a machine whose entire purpose is essentially “stand on this thing and move forward.” The conversation turns toward traumatic brain injuries and scooter accidents, producing the obvious conclusion that if you're going to launch your face toward pavement at scooter speed, wear a helmet. From there, the news becomes progressively more deranged: stolen LEGO sets worth roughly $30,000 are discovered in an abandoned van in the California desert, a frustrated teenager apparently decides that driving around 140 miles per hour is a reasonable response to being annoyed on the way to the gym, and Viktor naturally uses the story as a segue into the Advocates Injury Attorneys and Traffic School. Because if your morning show doesn't seamlessly transition from stolen LEGO empires to catastrophic speeding collisions and legal advertising, what exactly are you doing?

The episode then takes a detour into criminal stupidity involving a woman who allegedly wanted to blow up the New York State Capitol and sought help constructing a bomb, only to discover that the people assisting her were actually FBI undercover agents. The agents reportedly took her to Home Depot, where she apparently even wondered whether she had purchased the correct nails for the device she intended to use. Viktor's commentary can essentially be summarized as: maybe don't ask strangers on the internet how to destroy a government building, especially when the strangers are suspiciously helpful. This becomes another installment in the ongoing scientific study of the human brain under conditions of catastrophic decision-making.

Meanwhile, Viktor is increasingly concerned that his weekend trip to Park City is going to become an altitude-sickness experiment. He is already feeling under the weather, is preparing to travel to a higher elevation, and then discovers that high-altitude travel can involve headaches, dizziness, nausea, dehydration, fatigue, and a general feeling of “why did I voluntarily come here?” He learns about hydration, carbs, acclimatization, alcohol, and the possibility that elevation can make certain physical and emotional symptoms worse. His plan appears to be less “carefully acclimatize over several days” and more “I have a weekend reservation, so my body is going to have to figure this out immediately.” The trip preparation itself becomes another comedy segment as Jade points out that packing for a dude is essentially throwing some shirts, underwear, pants, socks, and a CPAP into a bag and declaring victory. Viktor's weekend survival plan is further complicated by the fact that his house is apparently a disaster, everyone he would normally ask to help with the dog is leaving town, and he is desperately trying to organize everything while feeling like his immune system has filed for bankruptcy.

Eventually, the conversation moves toward the terrifying possibility of getting sick right before a weekend trip, Traffic School, and a band interview. Viktor worries about COVID, influenza, sore throats, chest symptoms, and the general injustice of becoming sick at the exact moment when his job requires him to talk constantly. The upcoming Showing Teeth interview becomes especially ominous because he isn't sure his voice will survive long enough to conduct it. Jade suggests asking strange conversation-starter questions, which naturally leads to the possibility of asking a young metal singer something horrifyingly specific about fart-covering techniques. This is the moment the interview prep officially leaves the building.

The music conversation then detonates into a wonderful argument about cover songs, metal bands, country music, and genre combinations. Viktor realizes while watching a movie that someone should make a metal version of “House of the Rising Sun,” only to immediately remember that Five Finger Death Punch already did exactly that. The discussion expands into the eternal question of why bands repeatedly cover the same songs instead of digging up stranger material. The group also discusses modern metal covers of classic songs, Cody Jinks touring with Five Finger Death Punch, Beyoncé entering country music, and the strange cultural civil war that erupted around the idea of Beyoncé making a country album. Viktor's position is refreshingly straightforward: why does everybody care so much? If a show combines different genres and attracts different crowds, that's potentially a good thing. He recalls playing local shows where bands with radically different sounds would share bills, creating a more interesting audience and a more unpredictable concert experience. The episode therefore briefly becomes a defense of musical variety against the great American tendency to put everything into separate little genre boxes and then yell at anyone who crosses the border.

And then, because this is apparently the only possible way to end the episode, the GTA 6 conspiracy machine comes roaring back. Peaches brings up the theory that Rockstar may have intentionally allowed the leaks to happen so they could show everyone an unfinished game and then use the outrage as justification for another delay. Suddenly Rockstar isn't merely developing a video game; they're apparently operating a four-dimensional corporate chess game involving fake leaks, crypto scams, secret marketing strategies, and possibly Laszlo begging for Bitcoin. The discussion even touches on streamers, including XQC, iShowSpeed, and Kai Cenat, with Viktor admitting that some streamers are so difficult to understand that watching them can feel like trying to decode an alien transmission through a broken Bluetooth speaker.

Finally, the episode closes by returning to something unexpectedly sincere beneath all the ridiculousness. The conversation about people accusing Viktor of being drunk eventually turns into Viktor talking openly about trying to stay away from alcohol and improve his life. Rather than pretending everything is perfect, he makes the point that people should be able to talk about personal struggles without immediately being branded or attacked. The discussion expands into weight loss, changing eating habits, GLP-1 medications, cravings, and the idea that making positive changes doesn't require someone else to shame them into doing it. Viktor circles back to the larger lesson of the morning: attacking people doesn't help them. Whether it's Facebook arguments, health struggles, politics, weight loss, alcohol, or simply someone missing a day of work because they're dealing with private family problems, maybe the radical concept is to stop assuming you know everything about another person's life. And with that surprisingly human conclusion, the Viktor Wilt Show escapes Friday morning alive, mildly congested, under-packed, surrounded by GTA 6 malware, concert-ticket rage, stolen LEGO, high-altitude anxiety, internet conspiracies, and enough questionable Facebook discourse to power the entire state of Idaho until Tuesday.

What is The Viktor Wilt Show?

The Viktor Wilt Show daily recap! If you miss the show weekdays from 6A-10A MST, you've come to the right place.

Speaker 1: What's up, people? Good morning! Friday. Yeah. I was gonna attempt to yell that, but uh throat's still a little bit messed up today. Hopefully that clears up before I gotta make my way out of town and hopefully have an enjoyable weekend in Park City.

Uh have never been there before. Taking Becca to a country show, Ian Munzik, Wyoming zone. He's a good dude. Uh, we met him when he was here in Idaho Falls. Really nice guy. Uh, it should be a fun time, and get to check out somewhere new. I know, kind of crazy in all my years.

At least I don't think I've been to Park City. But you know how forgetful I am. Hope that your morning is going well. Um, like said, throat's still bugging me a little bit, but you know, at least I'm not all plugged up like I was last night. Uh, had to bust out the afferin. A little bit of nasal spray action.

And uh was grateful to wake up and that was not an issue. So take myself a Zurtek and uh get this party started. Oh man, I'm I didn't even intend to stir it up last night on social media, and I made a post just simply saying, you know, like what was it exactly? Said, why is it that everyone who says celebrities shouldn't talk politics get all of their news and information from people in their basements shooting out reels on webcams?

Alright, it's a little snarky, right? But I didn't call anybody out specifically, and the reason that I made this statement is because somebody yelled at me for being a public figure and making a comment that I didn't like a particular politician, and why. And no, it wasn't like the president or something, it was an Idaho politician, and I have a reasoning behind why I don't like him. And I even said why.

And then it's all oh yeah. You better shut up. You know, stay in your name, bro. It's like, well, you guys are talking about this stuff, why can't I? Cause I work on the radio, then people are all, oh, you're gonna get fired. I'm like, I I didn't say anything like threatening or anything like that. I just said I didn't like the guy.

Is that that big a deal? I would hope I wouldn't get fired for that. But geez, the the back and forth and back and forth and then uh this one guy, maybe he's listening right now, because he listens to the show, clearly listens to the show, cause he commented on me playing best of uh when I'm out of the office. And he started accusing me of being drunk, which I wasn't. He's like, eh, take another shot, dude.

Take another shot. I'm like, dude, we're having a reasonable conversation. It's not like I'm misspelling a bunch of words and what I'm saying doesn't make any sense. Like, ch chill out. I didn't attack you.

I linked you to some reading material. Uh I don't know. Like what's wrong with me taking a day off? Yeah. I don't see any problem with that. And also, to assume that I was taking a day off because I was hung over is ridiculous. Alright. I wouldn't take a day off for for that, okay. I don't jump on air and tell all the reasons why I may not be in the office, but you know, I had a uh a family thing happen this week that was very stressful, got some stuff going on. It's my private business. Alright?

So I wasn't able to make it in one day. And there's a reason behind that. And obviously, if I'm not here, Jade knows why. Okay. So settle down.

Don't just make assumptions about people. And also, yeah, why can't I take a day off? You know, even if even if I was hung over, which I would just go to work and be mad at myself. You know, like you're an idiot.

But just uh, everything's gotta be a conflict. And I don't know, I guess I'll leave the post up for now, because again, it was pretty tame. And just try to Try to have reasonable conversations with me, or with people in general. I got into a political discussion with the guy um out and about on the town a week or so ago. Complete opposite views. Guess what?

It ended fine, because you're supposed to be able to have discussions with people like normal human beings. Saw the guy again recently. Gave him some crap. We're totally cool. You can have completely opposing viewpoints with somebody and still behave like an adult. So I don't know. It was silly, but I guess I should just know. I should just know every post, someone's gonna be the naysayer. So should I put in some best stubs for the show today? Take a nap. I got a lot going on today. We've got Traffic School powered by the Advocates.

It's coming up at about 845. If you're listening on demand, I post those episodes separately as uh their own podcast and as bonus episodes on the Victor Wiltshow channel. Uh, you can find that everywhere podcast can be found. Also gonna be interviewing Addison from Showing Teeth later today. Uh that happens after my shift, so that'll probably be up like Monday or so. Unless I can if it goes perfectly and I can slap it together fast today, uh, I'll get that posted online. But excited about that.

Got to check out their full new EP, which comes out in uh a couple weeks, and it's really good. So we'll talk about that, and you can check it out after I get it done. In the meantime, I guess it's uh time for me to find things to talk with you about, aside from my oh woe is me. Somebody got mad at me on Facebook.

I just don't understand again why we can't have a reasonable conversation and why why it has to go to a tax, and especially attacks on like me not showing up at work because I've got serious family issues going on. Come on. Anyway, we here, it's Friday, and uh I'm I'm very stoked about that. It's been a long week.

I can tell that the uh caffeine hasn't kicked in yet. Because I was scrolling, saw somebody ask the question, what died in 2020 and never came back? But I thought it said who died in 2020 and never came back. And it was just gonna be a list of obviously of people who died in 2020.

Every single person. Uh, but no, that was not what the thread was. And who wants to look at a thread and remember all those good things we had back in 2020? That I guess we don't have now. Uh let's see. Let's look at it. Screw it. You know? Sorry. Let's get in a bad mood. I'll try to here.

We we put the wacky dance music on in the background, the hoppity hop, and that makes these kind of things fun. Alright. So, what died in 2020 and never came back?

This one's definitely right. Reasonable prices. Ugh. I should have probably filled the car up yesterday. You know the gas is gonna go up for the weekend. Dang it!

Alright, what else do we got? 24 hour businesses for the most part. Yeah, yeah.

Shout out to Winco for giving us one place we can still get groceries in the middle of the night, even if the rows are all filled up with boxes and it's uh you know, just about as hard to navigate as it would be during the day, but it's quieter. Oh, let's see here. The illusion of common decency.

Uh, we discussed having reasonable conversations with people earlier. Um, I I think that that died before 2020. I think we gotta go back like a decade or so. That's when things started changing on the internet. Alright, common sense and decency.

Alright. Shopping at Walmart at 2 a.m. Some restaurants. Good service. Now, I I think you can still get good service in lots of places.

Um, if you're having problems with that, try a different place. Okay, here now this is starting to get uh depressing and dark, like I thought it would. Hence why I put on this music. Somebody posted the question online: what is the most cliche thing that bands do while performing at a concert that needs to be retired immediately? Thought this might be a fun thread.

Then right out of the gate, I just get frustrated with the responses because let me read the question again to you. What is the most cliche thing that bands do while performing at a concert that needs to be retired immediately? And uh somebody put charging 250 for a ticket. Um bands do that uh before performing, and not while.

So that is not a proper answer to the question. Now, obviously, I think everybody would like to see the 250 concert tickets go. I don't know what's gonna happen with that. I mean, at some point it's gotta break, right? Because who can afford to hit more than like just a few shows? I mean, more than one show a year at these rates. I mean, depending on the band you're gonna see. It can be crazy.

I did pay, I think about 250 bucks, maybe a little bit more for nine-inch nails, the most I ever paid for a concert ticket. Crazy. Crazy. Alright, let's see what else we got here. Oh, the Encore.

Okay. Now, the Encore is pretty cliche. Because I think back in the day in Encore, like the the crowd would react so crazy that the band's like, alright, let's give them one more. Now it's like built into the show, you know it's coming. And the only good thing about it is say if you don't really care about the last few songs, you know it's a good time to bail so you can beat the traffic.

Yeah. But I I've seen a lot of bands recently just not do encores. They're just like, eh, you know, we're not gonna walk off the stage, wait two minutes and come back. Let's just play our last few songs and get out of here.

That's cool with me. Show starts at 8. Artist comes on at 9.45. Um. That has nothing to do with the band performing.

Um, Well, I mean it does, but that's not something they do while performing. Why why don't people know how to answer questions? Uh oh.

Internet packed with idiots. Nobody rocks like checks back a guitar. Springfield!

What's real funny is when the band gets it wrong, Cory Taylor. Uh, what's up, Oregon? Well, that was a good one. That was a good one. Alright, Encores. I mean, is there gonna be anything else that's not Encores?

Let's see here. The generic makes some noise shouted between every single song. Well, yeah, it is kind of cliche, I guess, huh? What else are you supposed to yell?

Scream real loud! I've done that one opening uh the stage for bands. So, hmm. Alright, people, listen, if somebody's already said encore, you don't need to leave that response again. Okay, not singing half of the song while pointing the mic at the audience.

Vince Neil. Now I bet as a band it's really cool to hear the crowd singing your songs back to you. Um I'm not against that, unless I mean if it's the bulk of the song, okay. Cause the audience aren't the best singers, alright. Let's see, stage lights that serve no purpose except to blind the audience. Uh the technical term for those lights are blinders. Eh, I like getting uh blasted in the face with lights.

I don't mind. Having 8,000 backing tracks. I don't want it to sound 100% like the record. Point of live music is for it to feel live and be a different experience. Yeah, you can overdo it on the backing tracks. You know, you want to try to keep that to a minimum.

Just kind of enhance things a little bit, but it's still gotta sound different and live. For sure. Alright.

Well, this thing was just gonna keep saying encores over and over. And I'm not gonna do it on air. I need to blow my nose.

So we'll be back. Tried chugging more caffeine. I have taken some Zurtek, etc. Ugh. Really getting nervous about picking up some kind of bug. It's like that time of year, ain't it?

Things start floating around. I just need to feel good. Well, every day.

So hopefully, you know, the weekend goes my way. Let's see, we got a Florida man accused of dragging a bicyclist and uh running over his foot in a road rage confrontation. Yeah, I guess I'll take feeling a little uncomfortable over being uh dragged by a driver and then you know having my foot run over.

Oh, this guy is kind of scary looking too. Oh, So, let's see, what happened to drive this guy? Did he just not like bicyclists? Yeah, this guy's driving a black Lexus, he starts honking and yelling at the bicyclist, and then tried to run him off the road. So then he stopped, got out of the vehicle, started a fight, attacked a rider, and then uh smacked their phone out of their hand, got back into his car, but grabbed one of the bicyclists by his shirt, and then it just takes off.

So the shirt starts tearing, the guy was eventually able to free himself from the guy's grip, but yeah, then he goes tumbling to the ground against his foot run over. Um, Are Lexus is still excuse me. Expensive vehicles.

I don't know. I guess it just goes to show you could have a lot of money and still be a lunatic. Anyhow, like I said, it could be worse. Feeling a little uncomfortable, but oh well. Just gotta stay positive and hope that this clears up.

And I did not get run over by a maniac today, so that's a good day. Alright, if you're a PC gamer, I have advice for you. Do not try to find a pirated copy of Grand Theft Auto 6 online. I believe Rockstar said they weren't even gonna put out a PC version for a while, but apparently malware is being uploaded to a lot of these piracy websites and being listed as Grand Theft Auto 6, and people are downloading it and infecting their computers with malware and viruses. Uh little bit of common sense here, people.

Alright. I think if the entire game had leaked, that would be just massive news. Now there have been, like we've talked about throughout the week, some video clips and things that have been uploaded from the game. I guess uh Rockstar's mad, as you'd imagine. Uh it's affecting their stock prices and things like that. And man, if they they find the guy who did this, I'm sure uh he's in for a lot of trouble.

Lot of trouble. Uh, even Reddit's finally decided, oh, we better start taking this copyrighted material down. I was wondering when that was gonna happen, because it's been up for like days, and you'd assume that's no good. But I'm looking forward to the Grand Theft Auto 6 extended look, which is happening on Netflix next Thursday, so that that I think will be the way to get a real good new look at the game, because it's gonna be in 4K, it's not you know grainy internet video, or it doesn't have the guy's stupid little stamp on it trying to sell you crypto.

Yeah, just wait till Thursday, and I'm sure we'll see some uh some great stuff. Learn a lot about the game and how it works and things like that. But chat, don't try to download it, okay?

Don't try to download the game and install it on your computer. You will have a bad time. Alright, I am going to dig for some freak news and return.

Be right back, homies. Have you ever played around on one of those electric scooters? I've tried a couple times. I must just be dumb. Cause when I was in Salt Lake, you know, ran my card and everything, couldn't get the thing to go.

I was very frustrated. Well, you should probably never never drive any of them. I was looking at a consumer reports article. We tested 13 electric scooters, we don't recommend any. Due to their higher speeds and an increase in injury data, consumer reports no longer recommends e-scooters at all. Because if you think about it, you know, you're riding basically standing up straight. If you wreck, you're probably gonna smash your face into the ground. And uh people have had some very serious injuries on these uh scooters, so you know if you if you got a pretty quick one that you've hooked up for your kids, consumer reports says no.

I know, sorry kids, I'm not trying to ruin your fun, but hey, e-scooter accidents, very common. And uh inj injury severity. Info on that. Widely available, and it shows um yeah, electric scooter riders are more likely than motorcycle riders to suffer a traumatic brain injury in an accident. Wear a helmet, people! Wear a helmet.

If you're on a scooter, you're on a bicycle, please wear a helmet. Alright. What else we got here? Stolen Lego sets were 30 grand found in the California desert. I guess they found an abandoned van just packed with Legos. Okay, so there's 123 sets. Let me well.

About what? 230 bucks per set. I didn't do that math, that's what the article says. That's outrageous.

People complain about concert tickets. 230 bucks for a Lego set, toys. I mean, save up a couple hundred more.

Get yourself a PlayStation 5. Jeez. I don't know. Some people are really into Legos, so um, if you're frustrated, you might not want to get behind the wheel. People tend to drive aggressively. There was a frustrated teen uh in Califor. Well, I thought it said California, but I think this is uh somewhere else, some other country. I don't know how to read.

Uh anyway. He was frustrated and headed to the gym. So he kicked it up to about 140 miles an hour and then crashed into a cab. If you have been injured by a frustrated teenager who smashed into you at 140, call my friends at the Advocate's Injury Attorneys and make sure to tell them Victor sent you. If you go to their website to get the phone number, make sure to tell them Victor sent you. Or just call with the 208-471-4444 number. Don't forget, traffic school powered by the advocates coming up in about 45 minutes. Get them questions ready. Alright, what else do we have here?

I know I had a few other tabs open. Um if you're gonna build a bomb to blow up the local Capitol building, and you're looking for assistance on how to build a bomb. I don't I don't think that you should.

Number one. This is a terrible idea, but you should probably make sure you know the people who are helping you. This uh woman wanted to blow up the New York State Capitol building. So she I guess hit up some people that were the FBI, and they pretended to help her build a nail bomb so she could destroy as much of the building as possible. They drove her to Home Depot. And when she got back out, she's like, I hope these are the right nails.

I hope they're big enough. Uh, so then they arrested her. It's kind of like the people who go to that website, what hire a hitman.com. People be dumb.

They'd be real dumb. Alright, I'll get into some other stuff here after a couple songs. Please let the day go by fast. Alright, I'm gonna take more meds.

See if they make me feel any better. Wish they would have played that one when they were in Salt Lake City last time, but it's one of those bands that they've got so many good songs. You're just not gonna get every single one that you want to, you know, hear at the show. Anyhow. What's up?

It's Victor Wilt. Making my way through the day. Hoping I'm not getting sick. It's not time for that. I mean, it's never time for that. It's always inconvenient, but when you got weekend plans to go to a high elevation town. And uh you know, last night when I'm going to bed, I'm all plugged up and like, I feel like I can't breathe. Okay, let's go to a high elevation where oxygen is thinner.

I could have some interesting tales upon return. Was looking at tips for handling higher elevation. Like say you take a trip to Yellowstone, for example.

Uh, you can get up to some pretty high elevations there. And all of a sudden you start feeling like crap. You know, you might get a headache, get a little dizzy, tired, nauseous. What you gotta do? Make sure to stay hydrated. Lots and lots of water. They say uh four to six liters of water each day. Holy cow. I got a uh liter of water right here next to me. Maybe I'll just save this bottle so I can measure it. They also say load up on carbs.

Alright, pizza time. But I guess uh yeah, you need lots of carbs at these uh higher altitudes, according to this article here. Uh, they also say, you know, take as long as uh two to three days for your system to get acclimated, especially if you spend most of your time near sea level. Alright, well, thankfully, we're at a decent elevation here.

Maybe I'll get lucky. Uh, because I ain't got two to three days to get used to the elevation. Uh, they also say once you're here, add 1,000 feet to your elevation each day. Well, I think they're at about 7,000 feet. What are we at?

4500 or so? Not gonna work. Not gonna work. Uh, but also make sure to, you know, have people around you in case you start getting sick. And if you do start getting sick, go to the doctor, okay. You also uh need to be careful when it comes to boozing.

Alright. I guess uh you're your uh intoxication levels much different if you're at a high elevation than if you're at uh a low one. So be careful on the boozing, and then uh cooking takes longer, blah blah blah. And uh the lower atmospheric pressure can hurt emotional human states.

Uh so you know, if you deal with uh depression, irritability, and other disruptions, they might be a little bit more aggravated at higher elevation. Great! So I'm very excited to be rolling in.

Already not feeling fantastic. It should be fine. Should be fine, right?

So we can hope. Anyhow, what else was I looking at here? Had an article about a woman who she liked convinced a family to adopt her. She was a 38 year old woman and pretended to be 11.

Uh, the oldest looking 11 year old of all time. How do you get duped like that? Well, she got away with it. Uh couple looked after her for more than a year. They threw a 12th birthday party for her despite being 38 years old. So she was eventually charged with fraud and false identity. I I looking at a picture of her here, she does not look 11. Alright.

No matter what kind of clothes you wear, you put a little bow in your hair, you still look uh old. Alright. 815.

Half hour till traffic school powered by the advocates. I made a thread on Facebook in the K-Bear group for people who have questions for that. But the best thing to do is call and do it live. So get ready for that.

Kicking off in about a half hour, traffic school powered by the advocates injury attorneys. Well, I don't know about you, Jade, but I think I've had enough summertime. At least the heat of it. It's been just hot as crap. Uh luckily.

Speaker 2: When it doesn't cool down at night, it's like, if I wanted that, I'd be in Vegas.

Speaker 1: I don't know how Peaches does it. He doesn't have AC. You know, and he's got a ground floor apartment. It's gotta be just I guess that's better than a top floor, but it's gotta be miserable, man. Miserable. There is no way I could sleep if I didn't have an air conditioner at my house. No way.

Speaker 2: Yeah, mine went out a couple weeks ago, and it was just terrible. Oh no. I was happy. Hey, hell terrible. And my master bedrooms on the top floor. Yeah. So that's really terrible.

Speaker 1: Well, and your basement's kind of ground level. Yeah.

Speaker 2: You know, so it's built on a hill, it's all weird.

Speaker 1: Yeah, so I mean, I'm sure it's cooler, but and my basement's a mess. So I haven't been hanging out down. So it's like your life. Ugh, it does feel like a mess sometimes. It's been a long week. buddy.

Speaker 2: My whole house is a disaster.

Speaker 1: My whole house is a disaster too. Just like my life. So I'm like, who who might be able to help out with uh Millie the dog this weekend that also won't severely judge me for my dump of a house? Alright, we'll ask Jade and Josh, because they already know.

Speaker 2: And both of us are out of town.

Speaker 1: Yep. But we we got it handled. Uh so good to go there. Just gotta do all that preparation to get out of town. I was too tired last night to pack. I wanted to like get ready so I could get out of here fast, hit the road, get down there, get checked in, and then take a nap.

Speaker 2: Dudes don't need time to pack. Throw a couple t-shirts, socks, underwear, pants, and then your CPAP. Go. Yeah, yeah. The C Pap. You're not packing. The CPAP takes over. You're just relocating your dirty stuff into another portable thing.

Speaker 1: Well, this time I don't think we're gonna like load up a bunch of snacks and unnecessary things. I think it's just gonna be pam bam bam, let's go. No, well. Uh you're probably right.

Speaker 2: I know how it is trying to get you out of a door. Then you include back street back, back street breaking. Back breaking blog together. It does not equal a good time.

Speaker 1: What do you mean it doesn't equal a good time?

Speaker 2: Well, like a week later. Yeah where you can reminisce and laugh about the story, but in in the moment.

Speaker 1: Ugh, right now, yeah. I just I just want to get down there, get to the room, and just like lay down for a few. It's like we made it. That's gonna happen. And just fingers crossed and helping. Do you have any vitamins, Jade? You have a multivitamin with you. Any of that stuff that, you know, supposed like uh what do they call it?

Vitamin C packets? Emergency. Anything like that that might uh potentially cure what I'm fighting off. I mean the sore throat has pretty much went away, so that's a good sign. I think. Or it could just be the initial sign, and then all of a sudden, wrecked with COVID. That would be my one. It's about that time of year for you. That's usually October.

Speaker 2: Usually October, right around the time of the uh one could hope it'd be earlier.

Speaker 1: No, because right now it's like all hot.

Speaker 2: Oh, Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt Wilt have you ever had the flu or a cold in the summer in the middle of the It's awful. Man, it is terrible.

Speaker 1: Yeah, and I don't got the time to be able to take off to deal with getting wrecked with COVID. I should have got the jab. I don't know if it's even available yet. Like blue shots or any of that. That would be my like last year. I didn't get COVID, but I did get influenza A. Just as bad.

That's almost more. It sucked. It was horrible. I thought for sure it was COVID.

They're like, no, no. You got influenza A. Here, take this. You'll feel better in a few days.

Have a nice life. And then give us lots of money. Ugh. Doctors. Doctors.

Well, anyhow. Just got uh like traffic school coming up in about 15 minutes. I got it's a perfect day for me to feel you know, kind of lousy in the chest and a slight tint of uh sore throat, because I've got traffic school, which is lots of talking, and then I gotta interview the uh singer of showing teeth later on. Yeah.

And in a hopefully track jank show. I'm like, I'm not gonna be able to speak by the time that interview rolls around. Hello. I'm Happy to meet you. Will Bob. Will you please do all the talking in this interview? I'm gonna die.

Speaker 2: They're a fairly new band, so they could be interesting. Sometimes new bands talk a lot, and sometimes they go, Yeah.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I watched it. I did watch one interview with her, because I think she's only been interviewed like uh once or twice, and thankfully she appeared to be a pretty decent talker. And it's one of those interviews where they are a brand new band.

You can actually ask all those stupid questions you never want to ask. Like, so how did the band get together? You know, tell me about your bandmates.

Never punch a kangaroo. So yeah, they got their very first album, their debut EP coming out. So it's like nobody's interviewed him about it.

Nobody's heard it that is doing an interview as far as I'm aware, but I have. So, yeah, hopefully it'll be easy. And I I don't have to actually try to think outside the bubble, you know, or outside the box to make the interview.

Speaker 2: You should do that anyway. Just bring up that list of like 250 weird random conversation starter questions.

Speaker 1: Oh, those are good, those are good. I haven't ever tried doing that in a band interview. Well, right, that could be a pretty fun idea. You gotta ask at least something weird.

Speaker 2: I mean, what's your favorite way to try and cover a fart?

Speaker 1: No, that might be an awkward thing to ask a young woman break her in, right?

Speaker 2: This radio.

Speaker 1: That's true, and this is rock and roll. She's in a proc metal band,

Speaker 2: so she's touring with dudes, she gets it. Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure. Probably the worst one.

Speaker 1: They generally are, you rocker ladies. Foul beasts. Monsters.

Speaker 2: I mean, I had a girl in one of my bands once. Bad idea.

Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I have as well. It can cause drama. Uh well, please don't give me any more work today, please. I can't take it. Can't take it. All right. Uh, you want to listen to some Evan Escence, Jade? No. Okay, how about it?

Speaker 2: Let's listen to Wind Waker instead. You can put on Evan Escence, so everyone else can listen to that. We'll listen to Wind Waker.

Speaker 1: Well, I'm I'm gonna give the listeners slip knot instead, but we'll still listen to Wind Waker. Cool. All right. So the other night, Peaches, we were watching some movie, and the song, the original version, House of the Rising Sun came on. You know, From the from the animals. Yeah.

And I'm such an idiot. I'm sitting there and I'm like, man, somebody should do a metal cover of this song. It'd probably be really cool. And I'm like, oh yeah, Five Finger Death Punch already did it.

Speaker 3: Well, some would say five-finger death punch is not metal, okay. They're not a manly band.

Speaker 1: Yeah, there's so many songs out there that bands could cover that just never get done. Bands, why do so many bands cover the same song as each other?

Speaker 3: I do think we uh everyone should take a page out of the Darko playbook and cover an 80s classic, but have that modern metal twist to it. Because it's so unnecessary for Tom Barber to just just to just scream, I'm getting older in the landslide cover.

Speaker 1: Yeah, that one was a pretty fun one for sure.

Speaker 3: Um, what was I gonna? Oh, yeah. Oh, I saw a clip of Ivan Moody that did make me laugh. I'm glad you brought this up. Uh, because he was like, people have been asking me, why are we touring with Cody Jinx?

Because we want to. There's not gonna be Beyonce on his record. Oh and I was like, oh, come on, dude. Like, click being so I hate people who like like there are so many conspiracy theories with everything now, too. I saw the one like Hayden Panateer uh didn't actually overdose. She was killed for speaking the truth. Oh, geez. She woke up and smelled the coffee.

Speaker 1: Yeah, people need to just stay out of everything.

Speaker 3: For those blue-collar people that supposedly work those 15-hour shifts that glorify, you know, getting no money and just working those hours because they want to and be manly and whatever. They do spend a lot of time on Facebook.

Speaker 1: They really do. And there's a lot of uh legal experts, a lot of science experts.

Speaker 3: But do you know the side effects of that GLP one, Victor?

Speaker 1: Uh not yet, Peaches. I gotta wait till I start jabbing myself with it to get rid of this gut.

Speaker 3: I smoke two packs a day, but do you know the side effects of that GLP one? I drink monster energy every single morning.

Speaker 1: Well, that's fine, it's packed with vitamins, Peaches.

Speaker 3: Yeah, you're talking to the guy who has AFib because of the constant energy drink uh choices from for many years.

Speaker 1: Yeah, the country world right now is is so bizarre. Because you would think that like with the Beyonce thing, they wouldn't really give much of a crap. Because you listen to Dan and Shay play their pop tunes. And they're they're awful. And it doesn't sound like country at all.

Speaker 3: You're right. They are awful. Cain Brown won Mississippi, baby, come kiss me. That's it.

Speaker 1: Nothing wrong with Kane Brown, but all of a sudden, Beyoncé puts out country album that sounds country and people lose their minds. Like I I don't think Cody Jinx would come out and diss Beyonce. Because he I've met him and he's like a he's just a cool dude. He's a nice guy. Yeah.

I was there with you when you met him. And I think it's smart because you're gonna draw in two different crowds. I like a mixed genre show. When every band sounds the same, it's so boring.

You know, I'm I I like variety. Back when I was very active in bands in the local music scene, we would always play shows with bands that sounded completely different than us. Like we we bring in bands that are doing like acoustic kind of soulful stuff. Then we come out and just crush it with you know gigantic amps and just screaming and yelling. And you bring in all these different people rather than just one crowd. But you don't tend to see much of that. So I actually thought it was kind of cool that they put Cody Jinx on the bill just because you don't see that happen very much.

Speaker 3: Well, thanks to uh me being now the PD of Z103, my whole Spotify rap is gonna be messed up where it's gonna be uh it's gonna be like the chemical bros go with uh down swing with uh Stella Lefty with uh what else is there? Oh yeah, my spot Spotify rap

Speaker 1: my Spotify rap doesn't ever make any sense.

Speaker 3: Yeah, because of course with the sad song summer that I've been having, I'm sure James Blunt goodbye, my lover is gonna be in the top 100. What's that one? Oh, but I'm sure my number one track is either gonna be President Angel Wings, uh-huh, or it's gonna be when somebody loved me from Sarah McLaughlin.

Speaker 1: It's the Victor Wilch show, or it was because it's uh pretty much over, and Peach is maybe nervous because he said that there's uh you know a variety of people sitting in the conference room talking.

Speaker 3: Well, there was a whole conspiracy theory, I bet you can imagine that about this whole thing saying that they intentionally leaked the game so that they would show how far back the game is, and then go, well, due to the leaks and how you guys saw our game was this way, we're gonna delay the release of the game to you know blah blah blah of 2027.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw that floating around too. And people speculating that uh Rockstar was like in on the leader.

Speaker 3: I I was thinking it was all it was part of a marketing thing.

Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't think that they would include like a crypto scam. You know, who knows?

Speaker 3: Maybe Laszlo's down on his luck and he he's uh he's the one leaking it and goes, hey, uh give me some Bitcoin. Yeah.

Speaker 1: And there was another guy who claimed what what's that guy's name? He's a streamer. He claimed he bought a copy for like 350 grand. I don't know if you saw that stuff.

Speaker 3: that story. XQC, iShowSpeed.

Speaker 1: No, XQC was in the news uh saying that you know people need to stop leaking.

Speaker 3: Dude, he's tough to understand. There's a there's a few streamers out there that I'm like, what did you just say? Like Kai Sinat, every time he talks, I don't understand a word he says.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know how people watch XQC. I've I have no idea, but you know, everybody's got their own thing they're into, I guess. So yeah, today was a pretty fun show, everybody. Peaches and I are gonna have a great noon hour of madness and mayhem in store for you. Got the weekend ahead, looking like it's gonna cool down a tiny bit.

Speaker 3: I'm gonna take some shots before my show, I think. Shots!

Speaker 1: Shot shots!

Speaker 3: Make it really a Peach's Pip party. First ever time, intoxicated. Hi guys, welcome to the afternoon show.

Speaker 1: When is the last time I even mentioned taking shots? Because I don't take shots because uh hard liquors, you know, it just messes you up real bad, real fast. Try to avoid that kind of stuff. Maybe I just shouldn't like talk openly about the fact that you know I'm trying to stay off booze.

You know, because you tell somebody I'm trying to stay off booze, they're like, oh, he's a drunk. No, you're just trying to make your life better. Yeah. That's that's how I see it.

I think it's good to let people know when you're doing that kind of thing, because maybe they're going through a struggle and you maybe you can inspire them a little bit.

Speaker 3: Well, there was one guy that was like, you're not really losing weight if you're on the GLP one. It's like, well, it helps you lose the weight because my my diet has completely changed, as you've seen with the lunch pill I bring in here every single day.

Speaker 1: Yeah, and uh I've heard that stuff is really good at helping with you know all kinds of different cravings, including alcohol. Um, you know, doctors are using it uh for you know, like larger people, especially who also have that type of problem and finding that it helps a lot with the the alcohol cravings.

Speaker 3: Yeah, I weigh 399 pounds. I feel like that was necessary for me. My A1C was at a four, which is pretty low for that weight, but I was like, you know what? I do want to get on it so that way we can start this whole weight loss, help, you know, fuel the flame or whatever.

Speaker 1: And that's good. It's good to eat good. I need to eat better, you know. It does help. I need to do a lot of things better. Uh so you know, even if you like say I was just being a drunken maniac, you're not helping somebody by like attacking them. No.

For that, you know. You don't help anybody by attacking them at all. No, and anyway, you know, like I said, I deleted the whole post because I got tired of uh trying to have an adult conversation with people and just getting attacked. People, you can act like an adult online. You know, I have conversations with people in person, and we could have a complete disagreement, and we're totally cool at the end.

But online for some reason, you know, even if you use the same words, people just go nuts, dude. It's annoying. So I got annoyed by it and was like, nah, it's all gone. It's all gone. I'm not gonna put up with this crap anymore. So there goes my Facebook money. Because that post had a lot of interaction.

Speaker 3: Well, I mean, if you if you posted it and still delete it, I think you'd still get the money out of it, right? I think. Okay.

Speaker 1: I I don't know, because I haven't made any Facebook money. I need to make better, better content.

Speaker 3: That's what that's I've been working on the uh weight loss caption for the end of the summer, so that way hopefully that gets a lot of fun. I bet it'll get attraction. Yeah.

Speaker 1: And then you get paid to get skinny. Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3: All that time walking up and down that hill in Brian's neighborhood. I'm just going cha-chin, cha-chin, cha-chin.

Speaker 1: Well, everybody, uh, enjoy the next couple hours. Peaches and I will return. And thank you for hanging out this morning, listening to Traffic School participate and all that good stuff.
