Hey, Cesc here, and we're doing
another club review of the Reserve

Padel right here in Miami.

We are All Things Padel.

Okay, so today we're going
to go over four categories.

Cost, location, amenities, and courts.

Before we get into those
categories, let's talk a little

bit about the history, Julian.

The history, it's been, I mean, we've been
waiting for this club for quite a while.

Finally, they opened a year ago.

It's an absolutely
beautiful, beautiful club.

The skyline view of the cruises and Miami
downtown, it's absolutely beautiful.

The club has how many courts?

It has six courts and they originally
just opened as a pop up for five months.

Uh, and they were able to get extended
throughout the year, which was great.

Uh, and now in 2024, they were able
to get another extension for about

another three months, uh, with, with
the city and also, uh, the landlord.

And they hope and they project
that they'll be able to get an

extension for the rest of the year.

Yeah, that'd be great.

So it's going to stay put for 2024.

It's going to be right there
in that beautiful place.

Um, we love that place.

Um, and Seth, you're a member there.

Yeah.

Why don't you tell us a little bit
about the cost, the membership,

and all those juicy details.

Oh, yeah.

All right.

So the cost, everybody wants to
know how much is it, this and that.

Um, so we're going to get into
all those details right now.

Uh, okay.

First of all, there was initial,
uh, membership, uh, price of

5, 000, like an initiation fee.

That was in 2023.

Once you did that, now 2024.

Uh, this goes to the members only.

Um, it's about 600 a month,
so it's about 6, 000 a year.

Uh, with that, you get the
courts at a discounted price.

Um, so the courts for non members are 187.

50 for an hour and a half.

That's about 46.

88 a person.

Okay.

So now for members, it's 150.

Okay.

For an hour and a half at 37.

50 a person.

So it's about kind of a
20%, uh, discount there.

So let me ask you about the membership,
the, so it was initially 5, 000.

And you have to pay it up front.

Yeah, that was in 2023.

Okay.

And that was an elite, uh, membership.

Okay, and now it's 6, 000.

A year, yep.

The membership.

And you have to pay it up front, or?

No, no, because remember, they
only have a 5 months pop up,

uh, you know, um, license, I
guess, to be there for 5 months.

Okay.

They're hoping to get
extended the rest of the year.

So they do like a month to
month payment of 600 in case

they don't get that extension.

Okay, so you don't get
on the hook for 6, 000.

Right, of course.

Okay, that's very smart.

Yeah, so you don't feel betrayed by them.

Right.

They're not something they're
looking to do, you know.

And the other thing too is that they are
working very hard to make this a permanent

place, you know, which would be amazing.

And I think they were
going to be able to get it.

I mean, they kind of showed
the city and the landlord.

Uh, you know what they're doing there.

And I, and I think, uh, I think they
have a good chance of doing that.

Um, okay.

So let's talk about location.

Yeah.

I mean, the location is amazing.

Julian, where, where is it located?

It's in the seaplane base.

Um, just to give you the
address, you can Google it.

But it's 1000 MacArthur Causeway.

Um, it's right across from the,
um, uh, the, uh, Pirate Jungle.

Uh, right behind the Miami Children's
Museum, it's, it's, I mean, the, the

access is absolutely perfect from Miami.

If you're coming from Miami Beach or
if you're coming from downtown Miami

or South Miami, North Miami, it's
straight up, uh, and it's right there.

I mean, you just get
off, uh, what is it, 395?

Yep.

Yep.

And then you just get out there and
just, it's, it's, it's super, super easy.

I mean, if you live close in downtown,
downtown, you can even ride your bicycle

or your scooter, you know, to go there.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I hear you.

And, uh, it's, it's located in
such a, uh, nice little area.

You know, court one and court two,
obviously you can see the water there.

I mean, it's really, really nice and the
other four courts a little bit laid back.

Um, you know, so it's, it's
a really nice environment.

Um, uh, the location is, I think, perfect.

Uh, uh, you know, so in, in, in you,
they have, you know, they have a

doctor and you have the bay there.

So it's really, really beautiful.

Okay.

What I love is like when you're
playing there and you see these

massive cruise ships coming in, I
think it's in the morning, afternoon.

I mean, it's like, holy crap,
my God, that thing is huge.

And it's right on your face and you're
playing Padel and you see the people

on the balconies on the cruise ship.

They're all watching you.

You're watching.

If you do a good game,
they start clapping at you.

When you screw up, they
start laughing at you.

You know, it's pretty,
pretty, pretty cool.

That's, that's super fun.

So yeah, the location
is absolutely beautiful.

All right, Jun.

Let's talk about the amenities
because, you know, at 6, 000 a year.

What are the amenities?

And there's some really good ones.

Yes.

Um, so let's talk about that.

So, um, boat, uh, boat dock you have
there, um, my, you know, 147 foot yacht.

Uh, it won't fit there,
but you know, it's, it's,

it's true, man.

I don't know why you got such a big
yacht, you know what I'm saying?

I didn't.

Actually, uh, the owner of the
club, I'll tell you a story.

He was there one day and I was
just playing there and I walked

out and I was talking to some guys.

And one of his friends wanted
to take a shower and his

yacht was parked right there.

And, uh, the guy would ask
him if he could go and take a

shower in his yacht right there.

And he used the yacht as a, you know,
private, private, exclusive bathroom

for their, you know, their members.

Yeah, that's pretty nice.

Well, the thing is that.

Since it's a pop up, it doesn't
have a shower, you know, it does

have bathrooms and everything.

Like you said, a boat dock, uh, it
has really cool like cold plunge

tanks, which is really nice.

They have the yoga there.

Um, what else do they have?

They, I mean, they do those,
those yoga classes with that, uh,

majestic view of, of downtown Miami.

They're fantastic.

They're doing one of the
courts next to the water.

Uh, they have a workout area.

Um, they have Pura Vida, which is
a delicious, they have delicious

coffee and, and group med stuff
and pastries and, and, you know,

wraps and sandwiches and all that.

So let's talk about the real, uh, benefits
here because I don't think people kind

of overlook this, you know, again, you're
going to have celebrities going there,

you know, uh, like David Beckham, Dwayne
Wade, the Williams sisters, they're

going to have, you know, Juan Martin
Diaz as chief Padel officer there.

So, I mean, you could, you know,
see him, talk to him, play with him,

either, you know, they're approachable.

I mean, these are some of the big
benefits you're going to have there.

Um, what else do they have?

I mean, they have these, uh,
private space, you know, members

party where you get celebrities,
you get pro am, you know, pro am.

You get to play with the pro,
you know, professionals and, and.

I mean, the, the people that
you get there, it's, uh, messy.

And if you want to get, it's a great
place for networking top, top, top notch.

It doesn't get any better than that.

I mean, if you want to like Kreml,
like Kreml of Padel and business and,

and, you know, guys, Padel is a new,
the new golf is the networking sport.

I mean, everybody wants to play Padel.

No one, because it's a great
sport, but they want to network.

With the best, you know, as you
can see probably in the last

article on the Washington polls
that we're talking about the posh.

Where is the networking
that you can do in Padel?

It's absolutely incredible.

Yeah.

Yep.

And then they have the reserve cup, the
reserve cup, you know, they bring in a

top 10 or 14 best players in the world.

So you have, you're able to see them.

You're right there watching them.

It's pretty incredible.

It's like a two or three day event,
you know, and then they usually have

the, on the last day they have a.

Famous DJ DJing that night.

I mean, it's it's a whole
great weekend event.

I mean if you were to watch these players
You'd have to go to Europe and you have

to go somewhere far pay for for all
those expenses, you know Again, those

are some of the benefits that you're
gonna get at At the reserve Padel.

Yeah, um, you get the pro am so that
means, you know, you may be able

to play like you said, with some of
those players, which is unbelievable.

I mean, where are you going to do that?

Where are you going to do that?

I played with the party.

I played with, um, Koki.

I played with, you know, room.

I play with so many players there.

It's, it's, it's a, it's
a great benefit there.

If you really love Padel,
we were the last problem with

the bespoke, uh, from there.

Yeah.

It was incredible.

It was a whole afternoon,
uh, where you get to play.

You gotta pay, you gotta
pay with these pros.

I mean, they were local pros
and professional players and

you get to play with them.

And at the end of the day, they
did an outstanding, uh, uh,

you know, uh, uh, what is it?

Uh, celebrities match Yeah.

With, with the professionals.

Yeah.

Professional match.

Yeah.

That was, it wasn't, I mean,
it was incredible the level

of playing that was there.

So.

Okay.

So let's talk about the chords.

What type of chords do they have?

Julian.

They have a total six, six,
uh, six, uh, six Padel cords.

Uh, two near, the two are near the water.

The other, the other
four are more tain there.

Um, the courts are by Wayne Bosch.

They have, he, they have his, they
have their own company where they

build cords and they do sort of
like a 360 type of, uh, process

where they build the whole thing.

They have their own pros
and things like that.

Um, the, the, the courts
are very well done.

They're a little bit fast for my taste.

They are a monofilament.

They're not texturized the turf.

Uh, and I think they're delightful.

I mean, what do you
think about the courts?

I mean, I think they're great.

I mean, like, like I said, every courts
and the clubs are a little different,

even if they're the same brand.

I mean, just maybe the concrete a
little, a little different and maybe

the, it's just a little different.

Um, but, uh, I have no
problems playing there.

I love the courts.

Um, it's just a matter of adjusting a
little bit or using the right balls.

But, um, uh, the courts are great.

Uh, I play there at least
once a week, you know.

Um, okay.

So if I wanted to get some lessons
there, uh, let's talk about the coaches.

The coaches.

These coaches are legends.

You have the, uh, sexy boy, Gabi Miana.

The incredible, also called
the Iron Man, Willie Alcorta.

and the incredibly beautiful Juani Tojedo.

Uh, you have also Valentin
Ricci, Ryan Alamy, Isabel Miro.

I mean, these guys are top notch coaches.

Uh, they're fantastic.

I mean, I love, they're also friends
of mine and, and they're fantastic.

Yeah.

And so we'll talk about pricing.

Um, prices were around 200.

Um, and this year I believe
they're going up almost 35%.

Um, which will bring that almost to 300,
you know, that's, uh, That's kind of high.

And I think those are for non members.

So I think members, uh, get
the same prices as last year.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's, it's, uh, it's a
little bit on the high end.

Uh, but I think that's
our target of the club.

They're aiming for the
high end type of clientele.

They have that niche.

Uh, I mean, it's out of all the
clubs, that's the one you're

going to bring your guests to.

If somebody's coming in from different,
uh, you know, state or visiting you.

Um, that's when you're going to come
and play and be able to hang out and

enjoy there and, and watch events.

Um, it's more than just a club, I believe.

I think it's more like a social place.

It's more of a networking
place, like you said.

Um, and it's kind of like their culture,
which, uh, you know, people say, okay, you

know, why am I going to pay that amount?

I could pay this amount, but.

You know, you have to, you have
to look, look past that and

see what other benefits it has.

And if it fits you, then
Reserve Padel Club is for you.

If not, then, you know, there's
a bunch of other clubs there.

Yeah.

You know, they're great.

And, and some, we heard that
they might, there are some

surprises coming up in 2024.

They might have some other.

Pop ups coming up in the area up in north.

Uh, I mean, that's where we heard here.

Yes.

We don't know the details.

I mean, we would love to hear more.

If we hear something more,
we will share with you guys.

Uh, they're opening
Solemia hopefully in 2024.

That's going to be a, uh, a permanent
Padel club in a beautiful it's what is

it like a resort type of condominium?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, exactly.

Yeah.

And I think.

You know, this has gone
really well in 2023.

Uh, that's why I think they're timing
up on the memberships, you know, and,

and they're, you know, before I remember
early 2023 or in 2023, they allowed.

You know, let's just say myself
to buy all, you know, all the, uh,

the court, you know, pay for all
four at my price, you know, now

they're not allowing you to do that.

So if I have three other people there
and they're not members, they have

to pay directly there and they have
to pay the non member price, you

know, so they're tying things up.

Um, I'm not sure if they're
accepting new members or not.

I think they got the members that
they wanted and now they're working

on that thing and more exclusivity.

Yep, guys.
