We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.

It's Thursday,

and it's back to just the Clydesdale

Cowboy.

Let's go.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time you press

call.

Lunch with the Clydesdale.

Cowboy bring the heat.

Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.

Half hour hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate, tune in now,

you part of the fam.

It's lunch time.

Had to redeem myself.

I don't know, dude.

I thought yesterday worked pretty well.

Tuesday was bad.

I'm building it back up.

Tuesday was a thing.

That's all right.

Not a big deal.

I had to come in hot.

Yesterday,

we had the whole yabba-dabba-doo thing

going on, man.

We ain't got the hot button no more,

but whatever.

It's fine.

I had the hot button.

Well, I meant for the East Lunchtime.

Didn't you just have both things on the

hot button?

Yeah,

I don't have the lunchtime on hot button

anymore.

I do have the abadabadoo.

I do a great Fred Flintstone,

but I cannot nail it like that.

And you never know when you might need

it.

Right.

Never know when you might need it.

That's entirely possible at any given

point in time.

Yeah, because I got rid of the Rodecaster,

and now I'm using the Zoom PodTrack eight.

The loading of the hot buttons is not

as easy.

It's so much better than the seven was,

though.

Well,

at least it doesn't cut out on me

in the middle of a show.

Which is...

That was absolutely a thing with the

Rodecaster.

Anyway...

So because we had a guest on yesterday,

I didn't get a chance to talk about

this,

but the great Dolly Parton passed away.

And then we had Tim Curry announced as

passing away today.

The thing I want to say about Dolly

Parton is I'm looking at the tributes to

Dolly Parton.

And the tributes are coming from everyone

from Taylor Swift and Beyonce,

which makes sense.

And then you get them from Motley Crue.

Kid Rock.

Yeah.

She spanned so much music.

Dolly was one of those people that if

you didn't love her, you were wrong.

I mean,

that's just all there is to it.

And then I found out she actually did

a duet with Motley Crue on Home Sweet

Home.

which makes sense like that's a song you

can hear her singing yeah right um no

mark uh peter cullen also passed away

voice of optimus prime it always happens

in threes son of a

So when Dolly passed,

was that day before yesterday?

I had one run of Aaron.

Right after I got out of the show,

I went run of Aaron.

I came back in the office.

Gina looked at me and she goes,

why did you kill Dolly Parton?

I said,

What are you, what are you talking about?

She said, she just passed away.

And I said, dude,

I could have went the rest of my

day without you like throwing that at me.

Good night.

Like that's some depressing stuff.

She was just on something.

Not that like fairly recently saying that

man, you know,

she still had so much left that she

wanted to do.

Um,

i want i'm risking demonetizing this show

but i want to play this one of

the greatest voices in heavy metal music

did a tribute to dolly and i want

to just play a little bit of it

because it kicks ass and and then we'll

move on to other things in the show

so here we go this is lizzy hale

from hailstorm she's amazing

I could listen to her all day.

Yeah, I love Lizzie Hale.

Yeah, she is freaking awesome.

Rest in peace.

And then so Tim Curry was yesterday.

And as I was drinking my coffee this

morning and looking at various reels,

they had basically all his funniest lines

from Clue put together.

And I forgot how good he was in

that movie, dude.

I mean,

he's a fantastic in everything that he's

ever been in.

But it was one of my favorite movies

as a kid just because of how ridiculous

it was, the entire thing.

And he's got fantastic lines in it.

I've only seen Clue once in my lifetime,

maybe.

You should watch it again.

And it was in the eighties,

probably when it came out.

When I think Tim Curry,

I think Home Alone.

And I think Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Yeah.

Home Alone too.

He was outstanding as the hotel manager or

whatever, whatever he was supposed to be.

Or the original It movie.

was the original pennywise in the when

they did the uh made for tv or

movie or whatever whatever it was they

like terrifying in that oh yes he was

also darkness in legend there you go and

optimus prime dude

Yeah,

that's the perfect voice of Optimus Prime.

He is.

There's nobody else.

There just is nothing.

Yeah.

There's nobody else whatsoever.

So we'll move on from the death.

I did want to show you an announcement

that I saw real quick.

And I'm sorry, Vicky.

I just hit save on a couple things.

So I'm pulling this up.

But I don't know if you saw this.

Lane Kiffin has announced that LSU is

signing DeMarcus Russell.

Fun fact, dude.

DeMarcus Russell could throw a football

fifty yards from his knees.

The problem is that you didn't know where

it was going.

And the other thing he never passed was

a McDonald's or a Burger King.

No.

I think the Raiders are still paying him.

Like,

they gave him some ridiculous signing

bonus, dude,

and I'm pretty sure they're still paying

him at this point.

And Jamarcus ain't been a quarterback in I

don't even know how long.

Is he pregnant?

Number one overall pick.

I don't know if there's been a bigger

dud in the NFL.

None come immediately to mind.

I'll put it to you, Dad.

None come immediately to mind.

He legitimately,

like his arm strength was absolutely

unreal.

But he could barely hit the ball outside

of a barn.

Like, I don't understand.

And he can't spell LSU according to

Joseph.

Probably not.

Probably not.

Joseph Ramirez says Ryan Leaf.

I would say Ryan Leaf was a much

better NFL quarterback before.

than Jamarcus Russell.

Now,

their rap sheets probably are pretty

comparable.

Ryan Leaf probably,

since he did Prison Time,

is a little bit higher up there.

He's got more street cred.

Oh, Gino Torres.

But he wasn't number one overall,

and neither was Ryan Leaf.

Like,

Jamarcus Russell was the number one

overall pick.

Yeah, well, I mean...

the Raiders have a real long storied

history of making stupid decisions when it

comes to personnel.

So I feel,

I almost feel bad for anybody who's been

a, uh, a Raiders,

a longstanding Raiders fan, but I mean,

it is what it is.

Um,

So just to finish up this LSU Daquan

Wright thing,

apparently that's been nipped in the bud.

I just wonder what's going to happen to

that kid because now he's stuck in the

middle in like purgatory.

He's in limbo.

Where he got waived.

Now he can't go back.

And so if you didn't see,

the Big Ten and the SEC have both

made rules where kids cannot go from the

NFL to LSU.

college football the sec put punishments

that are absurd up if you do it

um yeah they're not taking any prisoners

and then the nfl said if you leave

to go back to college you can't come

back to the nfl in the the current

season and you will never be eligible for

the draft oof

So it's on both sides, big stop signs.

And there's Daquan Wright in the middle of

it with nowhere to go.

I mean,

that's both the NFL and the SEC and

the Big Ten flexing their muscles against

the judge because that's who made that

ruling was just some judge somewhere

trying to make a ruling and putting their

hand in to try to get better results

for whatever school that they graduated

from.

I am certain of that.

And then SEC was like, nah,

we ain't doing that.

And the NFL was like, nah,

you ain't doing that.

So good on them.

Good on them.

I'm sorry, dude.

You don't get to go –

play professional ball this is not a feel

good movie from the eighties right where

like oh he played two seasons and he

blew out his knee but he still had

a year of eligibility left so they like

that's not reality it's just not

Yeah,

and the crazy thing is that you know

this isn't over.

Oh, no.

There are going to be lawsuits.

There's going to be so much litigation in

this thing.

Yeah,

this is one hundred percent not over,

unfortunately.

But it's over for this season because by

the time an injunction comes,

classes will be well underway at most

universities and nobody's going to be able

to go back.

One,

the regular season is going to start here

shortly.

Nobody's going to want to have to deal

with it.

Roshas are going to be set.

All that stuff is still in motion.

And there still is the go through the

motions that they go to class.

Yeah.

And so they're not going to be able

to do that.

No.

Good.

Again, good.

They shouldn't be.

It's ridiculous to begin with.

So I actually have a couple good things

I want to say about the WFP.

Oh.

Ladies and gentlemen,

stand by their marketing for their event

this weekend and on the socials has been

awesome.

Now,

the football jerseys are are weird and

kind of nineteen eighties ish that they

have handed out to the pro athletes.

So because they're in Indianapolis,

and this is taking place in the practice

facility of the Indianapolis Colts,

and it's the home of the NFL Combine,

they are embracing the football aspect of

going to, there it is.

Got it.

I don't know when the last time a

mesh jersey was worn in any high-level

football game.

Probably in nineteen eighty seven.

If I had to think about it.

i would i would guess around there um

so that's kind of lame to me but

i do like like they were they asked

everybody who would win the forty and

almost all the men were like gee and

then they asked gee and gee said me

Everybody else is saying Guy.

What about everybody else saying you, Guy?

He's like, yeah, me.

No, he's right.

Jay Burch is going to be going to

be going to be going to be going

to

It's entirely possible he might be right.

Like,

I remember my middle school football team

had practiced, like had, you know, that's,

that's mess jerseys and whatnot,

but it's because they had been passed down

and passed down and passed down for God

only knows how long.

We weren't getting any new equipment

anytime soon.

And that was in nineteen eighty seven.

six, eighty seven,

somewhere up in that area,

maybe nineteen eighty eight.

And they were probably ten years old at

the time.

So, yeah,

I would say NFL probably early eighties.

He's probably right.

But the photo shoots with the helmets and

the footballs and the stuff I think are

really cool.

And I they every day they're showing

either affiliate visits by the athletes or

they're showing

some kind of content with goofy questions.

They showed Chandler practicing the five

cone drill or the three cone drill,

whatever it is, five, ten, five.

And so they've done a great job marketing

this weekend.

And I'm super pumped because I'm going to

be there.

And I'm excited and I'm reluctant to...

Cause it's been a shitty week at work

and I know I'm going to be working

all weekend over there trying to get as

much content as I can.

Right.

Um, and the thing that's bugging,

the thing I want to see the most

is the NFL combine stuff.

And it is the first workout of the

weekend.

Yeah.

I,

it was some of the first stuff we

did as well.

Um, whenever we did it at monster game.

So, and so I am trying,

I was going to get up on Friday

morning and just drive over to

Indianapolis.

I'm going to get stuck in traffic trying

to get across to Indianapolis.

So I am actually leaving.

I'm leaving tonight.

and then my wife is going to be

gone all next week so i will not

see her for like a week and a

half after i leave tonight which is wild

um and so i'm just reluctant and wanting

to go for that reason but i know

once i get there i'll probably have a

good time but i mean i'm excited to

see the lighting in person that they say

is much better in person and and all

that kind of stuff it's so much better

when you can see it in person

Here's the thing.

If it is so much better when you

can see it in person,

then that's great for the people that are

there.

But those of us who are watching at

home, maybe you should fix it for us.

Just throw that out there.

I don't have a problem with it at

home either.

I know a lot of people do.

I don't.

I haven't seen enough of it to be

able to tell a difference.

So I have no opinion on it.

I'll watch this weekend if I have time.

But I got two children's birthday parties

to attend on Saturday.

And then I might actually be bringing my

daughter to the alligator,

to the seafood dock because it's alligator

season.

And go let her watch and bring some

alligators in.

Sounds like a good Louisiana time.

Yeah.

Well, you know, they're back on YouTube.

So you can catch up wherever you want

to now.

Oh, yeah.

Dude, I'm so bad about catching up.

If I don't watch it live,

I'm probably not going to go back and

watch it later.

More than likely.

I don't have the energy, the effort,

especially not if I see...

shit you know highlights blah blah this

person did that and that person did that

okay cool that's enough that's really all

i need to see if i happen to

catch it and it's live while i'm on

awesome i'll probably sit there and watch

but other than that not likely i am

super excited to see amy and laura go

ahead that that is probably going to be

something to see i hope that is i

hope it's the matchup everybody thinks it

is there is a workout that is very

heavy parallette handstand push-ups

My guess is Amy will take a large

lead at that point.

It's a good, strong possibility.

But other than that,

I think it's going to be – because

I think they're both going to be good

at the combine stuff.

I think they're both going to probably be

pretty good at the long run.

The bench press is going to be interesting

because we just don't know.

No.

No.

And both are really good on machines.

But that handstand push-up workout is

going to kill Laura.

I would.

How crazy would it be if she just

got out there and just started cranking

them out?

You should get off and be like,

what's up, bitches?

Look what I've been working on.

I'm not saying it's going to happen by

any stretch of the imagination.

I'm just saying that would make for an

interesting show.

Let's leave it at that.

I still am finding it fascinating that we

haven't heard from Amy really since the

games.

She hasn't been anywhere.

She's not on any podcast.

Nothing pumped out from CrossFit HQ.

I'm trying to think of the last thing

I actually saw her on was I think

Savannah interviewed her because he

interviewed her.

He interviewed James.

I think that's it though.

That is weird.

Why would you not be leaning in?

We had a brand new champion.

She just beat the brakes off of everybody.

Why would you not have her everywhere?

I don't understand that.

We've talked about it on the show.

She is one of the most marketable people

that CrossFit has ever had.

Ever, ever.

Box Rocks just released an interview they

did with her leading up to the games.

Well, one,

why did it take you so damn long

if you had to sit on that thing

from before the games?

I was going to say,

did they know what year it is?

Seriously.

I have no idea, dude.

It's mind-boggling to me.

So I'm going to try to get something

with her this weekend.

We'll see.

I don't know.

Don't forget, she's a close talker.

I do know.

I do remember.

Yeah.

Need to make sure I have a lot

of space.

To be able to keep her in frame.

Yeah.

Jay Birch says he's wearing the Clydesdale

tee today, and it's a nice fit.

Yeah.

Make sure you go out and do one

of those big heavy deadlifts, Jay Birch.

You may PR.

And for anybody that's going to be at

WFP,

I have the whole box of shirts in

my car already.

Yeah, preloaded for your convenience.

they are ready to go um and you

can get yours uh just by clicking that

venmo or cash app just put your name

size and address in the memo and i

will get that out to you for thirty

two dollars now the way i factored out

the pricing is twenty five dollars for the

shirt seven dollars for the shipping

And so if you see me at WFP,

I will charge you twenty five dollars for

the shirt in person.

As it turns out,

no shipping necessary if Scott just has to

hand it to you.

So but they are, man,

they are so soft and they're they really

do fit well.

I really am so glad or so happy

how they turned out.

So we're mine.

Actually, mine's in my bag right now.

And the last thing about WFP is we're

not going to have a show tomorrow.

Sorry to disappoint everybody.

But I will be in Indianapolis watching the

WFP.

But I think Jamie and I will probably

go live after the events each night from

our Airbnb.

uh to talk about what we saw talk

about what went down uh and do like

a little recap show uh do a little

recap show uh after each day of the

wfp and then sunday is probably going to

get delayed to like a monday or tuesday

show monday monday monday night crossfit

talk maybe so depends depending

So that's all the WFP stuff for this

weekend.

Can't wait to see all the stuff they

have going on.

And the Heart of America competition has

joined with them.

So that local comp is happening in the

same location at the same time,

which is a brilliant,

brilliant move on WFP's part.

Guess who runs both of them?

Jason Ainsley.

I actually got a free invitation,

free registration because I've competed in

Monster Games for Heart of America,

but nah, no thanks.

It's just too much.

uh shanna says beware sending in usps yeah

corey filled me in uh before we went

live today um you want to fill the

list yeah so um quick recap so shanna

is sending me one of her games jerseys

um from i forget which year it is

it really doesn't matter it's amazing

she's a games athlete it's a

good luck type deal or whatever and she

mailed it to me at the end of

july so if we look right here i

don't know if y'all can how well you

can actually see that but and it didn't

seem to move

for quite some time.

And by quite some time,

I mean about three weeks.

It went from Eugene, Oregon to Portland,

Oregon,

and then it just didn't do anything.

And I mentioned it.

I was like, hey, just FYI,

I suddenly got that thing you sent.

And she was like, oh, okay, cool.

What do you want to do?

And I said, well, just wait.

Like, it's not a big deal.

It's the postal service.

I mean, who knows?

and we waited a little bit longer and

then the basically the entire month of

august has gone by and earlier this week

i think it was shannon i said you

know maybe we should file something

because you can with the post service fyi

if you have a tracking number you can

report something as being you know missing

or or whatnot it hasn't shown up where

it was supposed to again be

And so she did that.

And then yesterday I got all of this

update at once.

So it went from Eugene,

Oregon to Portland, Oregon.

And that was on the I think the

second of of August.

And then on a twenty sixth or twenty

fifth, maybe that says, yeah,

twenty fifth.

It showed up in in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I live in South Louisiana.

I don't know how much I know about

geography.

But Oregon is over here.

Atlanta is over here.

And Louisiana is like right there.

Then it went from Atlanta to Dallas,

Texas.

which they had to pass by my house

to do that.

Literally had to go back across Louisiana

to get to Dallas.

And that was the last place that we

saw it at.

And it's still in transit into the next

facility.

That was yesterday.

It was in Dallas.

So this is the latest update that we

have.

It's been all over the place.

So I got, I got, uh,

I got doctor to look it up earlier

and apparently they must have transported

it by bicycle because that's about how

long or three and a half or so

weeks,

four weeks is about what it would take

if you rode a bike from Portland,

Oregon to Atlanta, Georgia.

So, you know,

UPS is just saving a couple of dollars.

It's really all it is.

Meredith says that the Oregon Trail would

have been faster.

She's probably right.

She's probably right.

And less perilous at this point.

And what has that jersey seen?

Travel.

Travel.

So I'm excited because it actually –

I am the dude that when I order

something and I get the tracking number,

I'm looking at it.

I'm following it the entire time.

So for it actually now that it has

shown movement,

basically all it took was Shanna going to

the post office and be like, hey man,

I spent fourteen dollars shipping this

thing and it's somewhere.

And then the next day they were like,

oh yeah, no, no, here it is.

Look,

here's all the updated tracking stuff.

I don't understand how it works.

I really, really don't.

Why is it?

Why did it go all the way to

Atlanta?

Like that's,

it just bypassed us completely.

It's like when I go from Columbus to

California and I have to do it through

Charlotte.

Yeah, exactly.

I left from, uh, where was it?

I did the same, the same type thing.

Oh,

when I left from last year or year

before last, no longer than that.

Indianapolis.

Not Indianapolis.

Excuse me.

Wherever that place is.

Fort Wayne.

Flew from Fort Wayne to Charlotte and then

back to my house,

which is not the way you really want

to go.

Didn't make any sense.

Anyway, I thought USPS was out of funding.

Apparently,

they're sending it by bicycle now.

Yep.

Cheaper.

Gas prices went too high.

A hundred percent.

A hundred percent.

um i don't know if you saw this

there's been a lot of speculation about

who's going to be in the outcast team

for wadapalooza socal oh yeah we justin

and ellie announced they were on the team

on their own podcast that was confirmed by

wadapalooza yesterday all right but one

the other person we have confirmed now is

dan yell brandon

For half a second, I was like,

everybody say Dan Bailey.

Daniel Brandon.

Yep, that makes sense.

Way more sense than Dan Bailey,

by the way.

Yeah.

No disrespect to Dan.

He's a great dude.

Probably not going to be on the Water

Palooza team.

Yeah, that has been speculated as maybe,

maybe not.

And now we know for sure she is

on that team.

Sweet.

So...

That'll be interesting.

So now we know three members of all

four teams.

Well, let's go.

And we, we, I mean,

we kind of know some other,

the rest of the team for proven.

It just hasn't been a shit deductive

reasoning.

Reasoning has got us the rest of the

team for proven.

Yeah.

I mean,

I think you can deduct a lot of

things on all the,

on all four of the teams.

It's just, you know, anyway, um,

This brings up something in my mind like,

you know,

Wadapalooza has been crushing it with the

release of information leading up to their

event,

which isn't even for like another couple

weeks, month.

You know,

WFP has been releasing stuff leading up to

their event.

And it just shows the lack of marketing

that CrossFit does for their own stuff.

Have we seen anything on the Community Cup

yet?

I would do you one better.

What's the Community Cup?

I've heard Dave say sign up for it

a couple different times.

I've heard a couple people say sign up

for it a couple different times,

but that's literally it.

Like, hey, the Community Cup's going on.

You should sign up for it.

What is the Community Cup, Dave?

If you take away Dave's athlete interviews

for the games,

he's a handful of road to the games,

and that's it.

which were basically done twice because

they were done by the mayhem people and

then they were done by the like they

were done by the independent camps and

then they were done by the road by

the actual games clue in like you didn't

learn anything different on either video

it was basically the same type videos put

out in the exact same way so um

it just

It's just frustrating to me that that's

where we're at.

You're seeing things done.

I mean, hell,

Rogue is not until the end of October,

and they're releasing people twice a day.

Because they know how to generate buzz.

Yeah, that's how you sell tickets.

That's how you get people interested.

Yes, get people excited about the, hey,

I want to watch this thing.

That's fixing to go on.

Or maybe I want to participate in it

in whatever way that I can.

Xenon was doing the same thing leading up

to their first event.

Oh, hey,

this person is coming to do Xenon.

Oh, you know.

uh colton and uh what's his face come

to a team like that's gonna be that's

gonna be cool you know if you're in

the dallas area come watch it no it's

not gonna be broadcast but these people

are

And it was consistent, trickle,

putting stuff out,

making a big deal about it and whatnot.

And we got interviews by Dave of all

the games athletes,

which is the same thing we did last

year.

But he's the only person that was doing

that.

As far from CrossFit thing, like you said,

a couple of...

oh here's some road to the game stuff

which yay road to the games is back

outstanding cool you're not talking about

the people that people are you're not

trying to get you're not bringing

attention to the people who probably need

the attention more than the people who are

already having it done for them does that

make sense like you know all the people

that were featured are people that were

featured on their either their own channel

by their own camp

whatever the case may be.

Instead,

you're just rehashing the stuff that we

already see instead of going, hey,

this person just made it to the games.

There's somebody that was there that

nobody even knew who the poor dude was.

Right?

I can't even think of what the cat's

name is,

which is a shame because he is,

in fact, a games athlete.

You still got to be an animal to

make it there.

And he didn't know who he was.

Yeah.

I don't think that's a good barometer,

though, of a person's popularity.

I understand that.

I understand that.

But you're not helping your cause by

saying, you know,

here are these athletes and we're going to

focus on these six,

eight to eight athletes or whatever it is

for the entirety of the whole Realty to

Games thing.

I just don't see the point.

Fake Savant says,

you'd think he would talk about it in

his week in review,

but he wants to answer questions instead.

He does mention it.

Dave is the one person that has mentioned

the Community Cup.

He doesn't really say what it is.

He doesn't really explain what the purpose

of it is.

He just mentions it's going on this month,

and if you can still sign up and

do it.

Yeah, that's it.

Hey, the Community Cup is still going on.

You should sign up.

Still got time to do whatever,

and that's it.

but what it is and what it means

no clue no clue um i don't get

it i don't know if you guys saw

this but this is where xenon london is

going to be held have you seen this

uh oh how cool does that look

looks like a train station that is

outstanding looking yeah with the flooding

in the natural sunlight what does that

mean it's that's it's just a venue yeah

just an arena in london i guess nice

I don't know much about London sports,

but if it's not soccer,

I have absolutely no idea.

If you didn't tell me,

I'd think it's the Galleria downtown that

closed ten years ago.

Is that the mall?

No.

The gallery in Houston used to have,

I don't know if they still do,

they used to have ice skating inside,

like an ice skating rink inside of it.

That was like one of the big draws

or whatnot.

Now they have a Tesla store inside because

that's where you would buy Teslas.

I know that because that's where we went.

Yeah.

Okay.

I didn't know about the Oreo gate and

now I'm annoyed.

Thanks, Meg.

Have you seen that?

i just saw what she wrote so it's

it's exactly what she said it is but

if you go find like there's a text

message thread right it's on it's on

instagram like people post pictures of it

and whatnot and it's some woman was

complaining because somebody else's kid

came to school and had oreos and she

did not give her child oreos and was

bitching about the fact that somebody else

sent their house there somebody else sent

their child with oreos

And so like all the other moms in

the group were like, cool,

and sent their kids with Oreos.

It's like, oh,

you got a problem with Oreos?

Here's a whole bunch of them.

Knock yourself out.

Dude, it's so good.

It's so good.

What happened to the days where you would

come to school and you had your little

brown bag of goodies and you trade with

people to get the stuff you want?

That's how you learn bartering and trade

in elementary school.

I'll trade you my bologna sandwich for a

PB&J.

Now they come home and I don't know

anything about the kids themselves,

but I know what my kid would do.

My kid would figure out how to get

some Oreos out of somebody,

or she would come home and be like,

man, you know, whoever had Oreos today,

why don't I have any Oreos?

Because we don't eat like that.

And she'd be like, all right, cool.

And she'd go on about her business.

The thing that would not happen is my

wife would not be texting the other moms

in the group talking about why y'all sent

Oreos to school whenever we don't have

them at my house.

Like, that's insane.

There was a kid in my school that

every day bought graham crackers with

icing,

cake icing in the middle and made

sandwiches.

And he would make extra to sell because

they were so popular.

Smart kid right there.

That is what creativity and letting kids

deal with it on their own can do

for you.

Screw the Oreo.

Give me the graham cracker with cream

cheese icing.

Right here.

This is why Meg's my people right here.

I'd have sent a package of Mega Stuffed

Oreos.

I'd have sent a family pack of Mega

Stuffed Oreos and be like, look,

give them out to whoever you want to

give them out to.

I don't care.

Go crazy.

Do whatever you want to do with them

on general principle.

Can I just say I'm not a fan

of the Mega Stuffed?

and uh it's too much yeah double stuff

is perfect nope nope nope nope the

original oreo was made with the correct

proportions anything that varies away from

that let me ask you this while we're

talking about that from the cookie what do

you feel about all the various different

types of oreos now like peanut butter

cream and yeah i don't like that either

No, no, no.

I saw one the other day said cookies

and cream.

And I was like,

cookies and cream is an Oreo.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

Oh, cookies and cream Oreo.

You're shitting.

You are making that up.

Pretty sure I'm ninety percent.

Ninety percent.

It might not have been Oreo.

It might have been like a off brand,

you know,

whatever the high rocks of Oreos or

whatever it is.

But it was in there.

That's called Hydrox.

Whatever.

It's the same thing.

Yeah, that's what Hyroxers eat.

They eat the Hydrox cookies.

They can't afford the Oreo.

Absolutely.

Scott and Corey do not speak for their

producer regarding Oreo cookies.

Listen,

the original Oreo was around for like a

hundred years for a reason.

Vicky,

I'm going to need you to find out

how long Oreos have been a thing.

Here's the fun part.

It's got to be a hundred years.

I'm pretty sure High Rocks was first.

And then Oreos came and they just outsold

them for whatever reason.

I'm almost positive that's a thing.

I don't disagree with you.

I do believe that they are...

the hydrox cookies were first like this

the redundant department of redundancy

absolutely um mark phillips apple pie

firecracker popsicle cinnamon bun banana

pudding etc they all have some crazy ones

out there bro it's i thought he was

just listing the concession stand items

from the pool when i was

Here's a firecracker popsicle.

March six, nineteen twelve.

They've been around one hundred and twelve

years.

That's a long time, dude.

One hundred fourteen years.

That is a long time.

Oh, here we go.

I see we can't talk about cookies.

Somebody bringing up Fig Newtons.

I'm going to cuss you out later, Ramirez.

He ain't lying.

Look, here's Birch.

Pipe down, Ramirez.

Stop it.

Those may be my two favorite cookies are

Oreos and Fig Newtons.

One of them is.

Shut.

Listen,

I told you I watched the History Channel.

They had history of cookies and Fig

Newtons was included.

That is definitive proof.

The Fig Newton actually is a cookie.

Nope.

Move right along.

Now, look, see, Meg's on my side.

This is why me and Meg are friends

right here.

Is a fig new to you to consider

a cookie?

No, Meg, it's not.

Meg doesn't have friends.

She eats her friends.

Look, Mark Phillips.

Bam.

So you're going to take Mark Phillips and

Meg's opinion over the History Channel?

Absolutely.

On that one, yeah,

History Channel got it wrong.

Hey, bro,

I don't know what to tell you.

History Channel is made by men.

Man is fallible.

They put out something that was incorrect.

It's all right.

It happens all the time.

Jaybert says fruit-filled pastry.

It is not a tart.

There we go.

AI.

Fig Newton are officially classified.

Let me tell you who I'm definitely not

taking advice from.

ai you can go ahead and write that

down unless it's alan iverson that's the

whole that's the only ai i'm taking advice

from thank you vicky nope meredith brings

up a shot look even the marketing campaign

called it fruit and cake no it didn't

yes it did hey i'm the only one

old enough to be around when fig newton's

was launching the marketing campaign no

you're not

Oh,

like every three weeks we have this same

conversation about, I don't know,

probably going to be talking about cookies

and then it comes back up.

I don't know if you,

I don't know if you've seen this,

but when AI tries to take over the

world, you know, we all say it's,

it's dumb and all that stuff.

I found that this came in my algorithm

because of all of the robot Olympics I've

been watching.

Oh yeah.

Have you seen this?

No.

It burst snatches.

she beats it with a cane that is

fantastic oh i saw the one you were

talking about the other day whether it ran

bounced off the wall landed in a shower

of sparks and just went have you seen

this right here yes the box get over

more like it i like how it like

backs up and comes back up and then

and

I can't get enough.

I cannot get enough of the robot Olympics.

No, I've watched them so often.

Yep.

I remember that, Meredith.

A cookie is just a cookie,

but Fig Newtons are fruit and cake.

I must have been drunk that year.

Probably.

Probably.

All right.

I have one more video to show you,

or one more Instagram post,

and then we'll move on to whatever you

want to talk about.

Oh, that's the wrong button.

Yeah, don't do that.

So these are NFL Media Day photos,

and this is what they consider to be

the greatest Media Day photos in the

history of the NFL.

So are you ready?

Oh, yeah.

Bring it.

So the first one is DK Metcalf.

Oh, Lord.

Relax, DK.

Did you take a breath?

Gardner Minshew.

Yep.

I'm with that one.

I am with that one.

Bajon Robinson.

What the hell?

He looks like the Will Smith genie from

the live action Aladdin.

This thing's just hanging off my head.

I don't even know what to do with

that.

Cam Jordan?

Mm-hmm.

Dude, Cam's a trip.

He's been a saint for as long as

I remember.

He's the one that does the commercial that

the guys say he smells like hot dog

water.

Cam's all right.

God bless Cam Jordan.

His mama's got to come do his laundry

so he stops smelling like hot dog water.

Mm-hmm.

What else we got?

The Quinnen and Quincy Williams brothers.

Stepbrothers, baby.

That's fantastic.

And they are actually brothers?

Yeah.

That's good stuff.

Jamal Williams.

What I find... He looks psychotic.

He's looking at me and another thing.

I don't know what the other thing is.

Like how...

How his eyes are both facing in opposite

directions.

I will never understand.

Like I can't,

I can cross my eyes this way.

I defy anybody to try to do that.

Good luck.

What I found fascinating is that two

saints made the list.

Well, I mean,

I don't know if you noticed it now,

but the Superdome is in the French

Quarter.

You can walk to Bourbon from the

Superdome.

It's not hard to do.

It's not always – it's a ten-minute,

maybe fifteen-minute walk.

So there's a lot of weird shit that

goes on down there.

Just throwing that out there.

Yeah,

this is the video version of the Key

and Peele football intros.

Those are actually real football players,

though.

That's the bad part about that.

You know what?

Why wouldn't you?

Like my favorite thing is when they –

i say one of my one of my

favorite things when they would come up

like they introducing the the starting

lineups whatever and they played a little

video clips of them like talking about it

from the you whatever and like the couple

of guys who just say some off the

wall because you tell them whatever you

want like you don't have to be like

you know corey leonard lsu uh lsu tigers

or whatever like some of them would

actually just throw some crazy out there

scott switzer hessen heights elementary

Yeah, exactly.

Corey Leonard.

Pierport Bulldog.

That's fantastic.

Speaking of not hard to do,

it's not hard to improve your sleep and

recovery using Thirdsy.

It is the best sleep and recovery tool

in the business.

Number one for a reason.

Thirdsy.com backslash Jazzy.

And use the promo code Jazzy at checkout.

Get you fifteen percent off your order and

you too can have a good night's sleep.

There was I think it was there was

one I'm trying to remember what it was

like.

I think someone said like school of hard

knocks.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I mean,

why wouldn't you do like throw that out

there?

You know,

Corey Leonard Assumption High School.

I mean, it doesn't really matter.

Son of Jessica.

Just throw some wild shit out there

instead of just, you know, blah, blah,

blah.

The U, because they all do that.

Yeah, or the Ohio State University.

Because God forbid you forget the the.

Is there an Ohio State that doesn't have,

like is there a different Ohio State

University I'm not real sure about?

So I think the lore is that Ohio

University was first.

And they were around.

And to differentiate Ohio State from Ohio,

they put a the in front to say

they were the state university.

dear lord and the lore also goes that

they stole the script ohio from ohio

university and they stole the fight song

and so it's it's my daughter actually went

to the ohio not the went to ohio

university um which was the first

university in ohio it actually existed two

years before ohio became a state

interesting

Not that anybody cares about that stupid

show.

There's your useless history for the day,

ladies and gentlemen.

And Miami of Ohio was Miami U before

W. Yeah, but nobody cares about that.

No, I'm just kidding.

They really don't.

Thanks, George.

I appreciate that.

Nobody really cares.

They care about that about as much as

I care that people care about my Ohio

University stuff.

Absolutely.

Corey Leonard, former Power Ranger.

It was only written into the renaming

legislation because of the stupid rivalry

between Ohio University and the Ohio State

University.

And politicians who were alums from Ohio

State had to get their bullshit stuff

passed.

So it was the only state university.

Jesus Christ.

It's just like the governor of Louisiana

trying to interfere in getting Daquan

Wright to play for the Tigers.

Oh, yeah.

That's exactly what happened.

That's exactly what happened.

Jeff Landry was hot on it trying to

make that happen because he didn't have

enough problems to deal with in and of

itself.

That's what it was reported on GetUp

yesterday.

Oh,

and that doesn't surprise me whatsoever.

Because he is a big-time LSU alum and

fan.

Yes, yes.

So naturally,

he was just in there just trying to

get this dude and go get him out

of Cleveland and get him back over here.

Please stop.

Jesus H. Christ.

Mark Phillips forgets stuff exists outside

the SEC.

Well,

there's three national championships in a

row that exist outside the SEC.

Remember how many they had before that?

I'm trying to remember exactly.

We had our share.

Speaking of,

the Ohio State University padded the SEC's

bowl record for about ten fucking years

there.

Quite some time.

I am not an Ohio State fan.

Do not.

No, I'm not.

Do not label that on me.

Like,

you want to go with David Reed and

Judy Reed?

No.

No, I like to read too much.

I like to read too much.

Plus, I mean, he's a diver.

He's not a football player.

I'm just saying.

And I know Andrew Sten is anti the

Ohio State as well.

He's a bearcat thing down there in the

Cincinnati area.

The bearcat.

Oh, my word.

Old friend.

Ladies and gentlemen.

Yep, former Power Ranger.

I like how they made me the Black

Ranger.

That is outstanding.

That is outstanding.

I don't know,

if you've never watched the Power Rangers

when you were a kid whatsoever, they,

one hundred percent,

was not troped at all because the Black

Ranger was a black dude and the Yellow

Ranger was an Asian lady.

That totally didn't happen,

except the fact that it did.

And being as how people didn't know I

was not a black guy,

which I also didn't know.

Did you see the comment on YouTube?

The guy that thought you were black is

still having trouble.

And every time he watches the show,

Because he can't believe that it was on

the YouTube comments like yesterday or the

day before.

He still has trouble because your voice

coming out of the face he sees doesn't

make sense to him.

His brain just keeps... Oh, God.

Jesus Christ.

That is good.

Oh, my Lord.

And Meg says, you're not black?

I know.

I know.

I know.

That was my favorite moment from the

CrossFit Games.

Yeah.

Who thought Corey was black?

That's a highlight of my weekend for

certain.

That's a highlight of my weekend.

I looked six foot on camera and dude,

Mark, I took,

so I did our pump session this morning.

So basically there's a bunch of

bodybuilding stuff at the gym this morning

and videoed a little bit of it and

like, man, I look tall on camera,

but I am not FYI.

That's not even, that's not even a thing.

Where was it?

Apparently on camera,

you look and sound like Carl Weathers.

it's fine it's fine it's fine rest in

peace dude i mean who doesn't love carl

weathers you know you look like and you

look and sound like a six foot black

man yeah action jackson baby all day long

Ladies and gentlemen,

if you have never seen Action Jackson,

I highly recommend going find that.

It's got to be on.

I hope it's on.

It's got to be somewhere.

If you've never seen Action Jackson,

I do not look like Eminem, dude.

What the hell?

The only person to be mistaken for black

and a cowboy at the same time.

Yeah.

I mean,

it's two different groups of people,

but I'm one hundred percent.

Yeah.

He is, in fact, lawman Bass Reeves.

That would be me.

How's it going?

I need to go check the YouTube comments.

I'm going to go let him know.

My brother in Christ, I promise you.

I'm sorry for the confusion.

I don't know what to tell you.

Hootie was not a black cowboy.

First of all,

if you know anything about Hootie and the

Bluefish,

do not call Darius Rucker Hootie because

he is not Hootie of Hootie and the

Bluefish.

He's not?

Don't start.

I know you know that.

I felt the same way.

I was just as shocked as anybody else

was to find out that Hootie was not,

in fact, Darius Rutter.

But, I mean, whatever.

Who is Hootie?

That really is blowing my mind.

and uh oh i don't you didn't know

that i didn't know it he is not

hooting i would i would have i would

have sworn a stack of bible that had

been a thing a random piece of information

you would have known no he is not

in fact hooty of hooting the bullfish um

i don't know if there actually was a

hoodie but i know it's not darius is

he a blowfish

and uh apparently i don't know i hope

vicky's looking it up right now because i

want to i need to feel vindicated as

far as that's concerned but i know that

people would you know hey hootie whatever

whenever they were still like hooting

whenever they were still at a band he

was like dude i'm not hootie uh they

were college buddies of darius in theory

yeah well there is no in person yep

i know there's no one named hootie but

he just by like um common law he

became hootie right it's my son he was

just born yesterday we're gonna call him

hootie

Every time we see me and my wife

see somebody who's got just like a

ridiculous like name and it's not,

not necessarily like a college football

player or whatnot,

just somebody who's like,

they added extra commas where they didn't

need to be comma or, you know,

apostrophes in their names and whatnot.

I'm like, do we miss a good opportunity?

Could have named Jameson,

whatever that is.

Like just,

there's all kinds of extra letters and

whatnot are there.

Like, my name's Ashley, but I spell it,

you know, it starts with a Z.

I'm like, what?

That doesn't make any sense.

Starts with a Z. Yeah.

Every time we see someone, it's like, yes,

exactly.

Jameson, but with no,

there's no vowels in it whatsoever.

We just went the proven route and just

kind of did like that.

LaDasha.

Mm-hmm.

Oh, gosh.

My friend is a college professor,

and someone showed up,

and their name was SSSS.

And she's like,

and then the guy's offended.

Of course.

He goes, no, it's Forrest.

It's Forrest.

No, it's not.

no it's not that's not how that works

it's not how the english language works

did you see this is this has been

forever um you just i have to go

find it i have it's a it's a

story somebody had put up of like this

dude who got his license renewed when he

was a kid like eighteen twenty years old

somewhere somewhere in that area and

thought it would be funny to add on

his signature to put three cat faces

On his driver's license,

you have your signature on it and whatnot.

And then he went and bought a house.

And he still had that as his driver's

license signature.

And he got started into the...

If anybody's bought a house before,

guess what?

You got to sign your name like nine

thousand times.

And they started it and somebody looked at

it and looked at the picture of his

ID and had to stop the whole process

because he was just signing his name.

And it has to match the one on

your driver's license, he said.

So the first house purchase he ever

bought,

he said he had to draw three little

cat faces.

He said,

because because because eighteen year old

me didn't think that, you know,

thirty year old me would be buying a

house at any given point in time.

So why would I need to sign my

name?

Like I thought I would be cute and

you can have you can sign whatever you

want.

Bro.

Oh, my word.

Oh,

I once had a client with last name

huge.

I pronounced it as such.

She corrected me.

It's huge.

It's huge.

No, it's not.

No, it's not.

It's just not.

So when you're telling the story about the

guy signing three cat faces,

all I could think of in my head

was,

is that the character from The Sopranos,

Big Pussy?

Big Pussy, yeah.

Entirely possible.

um talking about that so that the people

correcting somebody because their name's

not what what they say it is when

i was working construction this was

forever ago driving piles we showed up so

you get a big job site where you

you know we we were the first person

that usually the first people there put

down the foundation as other people start

coming in so i don't have to remember

scott vicky uh marco tessa whatever

everybody's joe we just called everybody

joe i still do it to this day

um so fyi if i run across you

and just call you joe don't feel that

i just didn't remember your name and

immediately so we get on we get into

this job site and this dude walks up

he's a safety man he's got a red

hard hat on and it says preacher right

there across it and if we were there

this is like the either first or second

day we were there

and uh talking to him whatnot and fixing

to go get started it's first thing in

the morning sorry hi joe and he stopped

us and he went no they called me

preacher and i went hi joe and he's

like no no no they and he pointed

the thing on his head and he said

no no they they called me preacher and

i said cool on this job you gonna

be joe and then we all just kind

of walked off

And it took him probably about three,

four days before he realized like it

wouldn't, we wouldn't just pick it on him.

Like it was everybody out there,

but just to look on his face when

he's just like, no, no, they, they,

they call me preacher.

And I was like, we got it.

We got, I can see it.

It's written right there across the front

of your hard hat.

Oh,

so the last thing I want to leave

you with, and then we'll take off is,

uh,

I found out where I'm going to spend

all my extra money.

Oh,

yeah is it a lego store in new

york it is not it is this new

gadget uh this is how we started a

campfire in now have you seen this oh

please yep i need one of those

I got news for you.

If you poured that much gas on that

thing, you couldn't get the fire.

You didn't get that fire that close to

it.

That would explode it right.

Yeah.

I learned that lesson at like eight years

old.

I burned all the hair off my leg

when I was like twenty two or twenty

three.

Something like that.

Trying to pour a little gas trail.

A flamethrower that looks like a water

pistol.

Bring it.

Bring it.

How much is that?

I have no idea.

What's the name of the company?

I don't know.

It says like butane torch, I think.

Don't use it on a candle.

Hey, Tessa,

don't tell me how to live my life,

bro.

Don't tell me how to live my life.

Light the birthday candles and you just

have a layer of wax on the top

of it.

Hold on.

I got it.

See if I got a lighter?

No.

Stand by.

I got it.

The reason why I asked is because they

could be a really good sponsor for the

show.

I think we could probably help them out

a whole lot.

Whatever.

Whatever the name of that.

It's a flamethrower.

I don't know.

It's not anything else but a flamethrower.

It might not shoot as far as a

flamethrower probably does.

Or so I've been told.

But it's definitely a flamethrower.

uh the uh get your thirds and buy

a flamethrower there you go have fun

during the day and sleep well at night

what absolutely uh would be great for

beehives the hairdo we need the honey oh

that kind of beehive i thought she meant

like for their

The Marge Simpson look.

You don't need that much flame for those

to go up.

Probably not.

Probably not.

All right, guys.

Joseph wants to go five more minutes.

Wasp.

Wasp nests,

that makes a whole lot more sense.

But don't burn your house down.

We at the Gladiator Media Podcast do not

recommend burning your house down in

pursuit of burning a wasp nest off.

Can you imagine the legal language that

has to accompany that gun?

I mean,

if you think about disclaimers and the...

Right.

If you think about what it just says

on a hairdryer, right?

Like,

don't use this in the tub or in

the shower, right?

That kind of shit.

I can't imagine what they have on there

for a flamethrower because that's

basically what that is.

Not intended for creme brulee.

Not with that attitude.

Yeah.

What if you make a really big creme

brulee, right?

You can't just,

you can't do that with a regular torch.

Yeah.

The only person that could eat a creme

brulee that big is a six foot black

cowboy.

Bass Reeves.

On that, let's go, Vicky.

You wouldn't wait to get to the editing

room to jazz me up.

I'm already jazzy.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Talking reps,

real life strength in the battle.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time we press

call.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

heat.

CrossFit, movies, music on repeat.

Half hour hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.
