something as all of your friends have run into the darkness and you see him and you see him and you
see this you see two light-filled eyes staring at you they they brim with like a orange red coal fire

and in that moment as you are between whatever is behind you
and the form of the eyes in front of you,
you just hear a single sound from what must be the impact
of your Molten Beam,
before you are torn through space and time.
And then you find yourself back into Prefect Imalda's,
where we last left off our session,
where you had used a new psychic power to try to change your form.
And you find yourself in the library.
For the rest of our party members,
you can all see that Lorne has attempted to change his appearance,
his face had begun to contort,
taking on the appearance of the figure you'd met previously,
Clemens, who had shown up.
And then as he had done that,
you'd see he'd clearly been pulled away somehow,
like his eyes had gone vacant,
though they had the appearance of a different person.
And he'd raised up his hands as though warding
before snapping back to Lorne's form.
And all of you,

I would have Reeb just kind of be snapping his fingers
in front of Lorne's face to try and get him to snap out of it,
if at all possible.

sort of similar patterns

colors in their
souls that speak
to something that has been locked away.

in their backgrounds.

that can only be described
as an immaterial
pimple
around this box.

you just want to touch it.

for how you want to continue.
What I'm going to do is, because there are some skills
we have certainly not used as much
in this campaign, I'm going to throw out
a bunch of skills that you can use to represent
your investigation here.
One of them is not psychic mastery,
so get wrecked more.
But I will throw out some skills, and
if any of you want to sort of utilize these
to conduct the investigation, we're going to
keep this pretty freeform, but also,
keep it moving so we're not, like, going into
pedantic stuff.
Really quickly, the skills
that you can utilize here would be
cunning, so that would be to
sort of meet with any elements
outside of the local law,
get a lay of the sort of underground,
maybe talk to some people who
have seen things on the sly.
Investigation, that would be if you want to
check out, like, prior crime
scenes and those sort of areas that
Amal just mentioned. Persuasion,
again, that would just be to sort of
talk to people.
Talk up local people. This would be less
of, like, the sort of underbelly, seedy
side, and more just people who might be
on the streets. Scholar,
if you want to do any more research and go
over all the stacks of
data that Amalda has provided.
And finally, influence, which
is, you can use your influence
to essentially exert your authority
to maybe learn some information.
