What is Morning Cereal?

Good morning, and welcome to Morning Cereal!
Pull up a stool, grab your favorite cereal, and let’s kick-start your day with a spoonful of inspiration, nostalgia and personal growth. Join your host, Shaen Inglis, as he highlights the music, movies, and moments that made the 80s, 90s, and 2000s unforgettable—kind of like digging for toy at the bottom of the cereal box. Each episode, Shaen also reviews a chapter or so from top wellness books, offering practical insights to help you set a positive tone for your day. Start your mornings right—no cartoons required!

Good morning and

welcome to Morning Serial.

Okay good morning and

welcome to Thursday.

As you recall we're out shooting on

location right now so

Morning Serial this weekend next

is a little bit truncated, a little bit

shorter episodes for you

but we're still going to

give you the good stuff.

So let's jump right on into it.

Today is stay out of the Sunday.

So if you're looking for that perfect

golden tan head on into

the tanning salon like it's

1990 and you're signing up

for that tin tan package.

Do they still do that?

I still think I have a pair of those

eyeglasses they gave you.

Well it's also National Chocolate Wafer

Day which I'm a huge fan

of that and I hope you're

ready because today is

Independence Day Eve.

So make sure your cooler is getting

packed, you got the ice

and you got the firecrackers

bought you better run out to those

roadside stands because

they're almost sold out.

Well let's move on to our quote and who

better to give us a

quote today than birthday boy

Tom Cruise who said

quote "I love what I do.

I take great pride in what I do and I

can't do something halfway.

Three quarters nine tenths if I'm going

to do something I go

all the way" end quote.

And it's a powerful reminder that true

passion means going all in.

Every time no matter how big

or small the task might be.

Well today's news facts and birthdays are

for July 3rd and

we're going to start back

in 1889 when the first Sherlock Holmes

story was published.

Then in 1969 on this date the Monty

Python's Flying Circus

pilot well it aired in the UK

for the first time.

Then in 1970 on this date Casey Kasem it

debuted America's top 40 on LA radio.

In 1996 this is when science fiction met

science fact Dolly the

sheep well she became the first

mammal cloned from an adult cell.

Well happy birthday if

today is your birthday.

You share a birthday with soccer star and

goal scoring machine

Antone Griezmann he's

34, actress Olivia Munn she's 45 and the

Mav himself Tom Cruise a very young 63.

Then the number one song on this date in

1996 was Because You

Loved Me by Celine Dion.

One of my favorites as you know well the

song earned Celine a

Grammy Award for Best Female

Pop Vocal Performance and Diane Warren a

nomination for Song of the Year.

Now the song was written by Diane Warren

as a tribute to her

father who supported her

throughout her life.

Well I just love

highlighting my Celine Dion.

Well as you know here's the book review

section we're just

highlighting books while we're

out this week so pick up The Power of Now

by Eckhart Tolle and

the book is a guide to

help us learn how to

live in the presence.

Well hey thanks for starting your morning

with the bowl of morning cereal.

Have a safe time celebrating the 4th of

July tomorrow and we'll

see you back here on Monday

with more nostalgia and insights.
