Samantha Shere Sharpe:

I'm in trouble. You didn't like

Samantha Shere Beek:

the subject. Okay. We could change the subject because I don't think most people are gonna like to this. Yeah. We're definitely

Melissa Shere Beek:

I mean, it's definitely a sister session.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Quickie questions. Oh, you wanna go

Melissa Shere Beek:

into Quickie questions? Yeah. You wanna talk about your week?

Samantha Shere Beek:

Oh, god. Go into Quickie Okay.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Okay. Your

Samantha Shere Beek:

because it's your week. That's my week. Not a good week. No.

Melissa Shere Beek:

You did not have a good week.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I said not. I said

Samantha Shere Beek:

not a good week.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I thought you said good week. Okay.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No. Jess, I was in New York City. Uh-huh. Had a really good time. The energy was insane

Melissa Shere Beek:

and it's because the mix one

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Really a full community there. Yeah. Every corner. Yeah. Didn't matter who you were, what you were, what you looked like, how you acted, it just was everyone was together.

Samantha Shere Beek:

They're diehard fans.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

They're die hard fans.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Fans. It's

Jessica Shere Coggins:

great to be there. It was really like

Samantha Shere Beek:

a Was it nice scary?

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No. It wasn't because like every couple blocks had their whole group. Really? It was really

Melissa Shere Beek:

It a collective experience I think that this generation hasn't had.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No. And New York City was like on a major holiday.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. Collective joy.

Samantha Shere Beek:

But I also think it's because people live in apartments and everybody knows everybody. I don't know my neighbors. Like, I do know my neighbors but I don't. I feel like New York City is like It's one.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

You feel like you're wrong with everyone.

Melissa Shere Beek:

The energy's amazing.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yeah. They're truly fans.

Melissa Shere Beek:

We're way too And everybody went out to put up screens on the side of buildings. Everybody came out, blocked the streets.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah. I was impressive how they pulled it off so well Yeah. Actually.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I was scared. I saw mom's a little too. Stay away from Times Square and everything.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

But mom? Like When you guys were there.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Thought was

Jessica Shere Coggins:

afraid that Times Square was more for more full of soccer fan

Samantha Shere Beek:

was afraid that something was mean, it's sad that we live in a world where I'm terrified that something's gonna happen.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Well, you think about that as a gathering, you think about

Jessica Shere Coggins:

There was a huge gathering too. Yeah. I was Yeah.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And today is the actual parade, which they've never had, which is amazing.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Well, they

Jessica Shere Coggins:

And then they went to City Hall and did something. It was great.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. Very cool.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

And one of the guys wore, like, 10 on the back of his shirt because the coach, like, banned any sexual activity for ten days.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Oh, I heard that.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

So he wore a shirt that said 10, it was kinda cute.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Was very cute.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I'm so happy for them, I'm also for happy this just the feeling of, like I said, like, collective joy, just like a collective experience. I feel like this generation didn't really have it.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah. Meyer was glued to the TV too. Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

He was

Jessica Shere Coggins:

excited to watch.

Samantha Shere Beek:

So did we switch him to a Knicks fan?

Jessica Shere Coggins:

The like, I was like, go Knicks, go.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And he's like, no, you can't.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Go Knicks, yeah. But He's like, could see myself living in New York and like, Knicks.

Melissa Shere Beek:

100%. My kids are like, come on up.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Oh, they were great. They loved they were so excited. It was very nice.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I like that.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Very nice.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Alright. So we're skipping over Sam's side.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yeah. We can we can talk. Unfortunately had to put my dog down. Don't let me go. It was the worst experience

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Ever on so many levels.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

And you've had to put animals down, your cats.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I did, but it wasn't like this is far far far far different far different So Izzy last year had a blood disorder, and I had taken her to an internal special medicine doctor, Thrive, amazing people. And they were able to get her on all these meds and then we were able to take her off all the meds and it was great. And then she went for her six month checkup. And the weirdest thing is she went in and this was back in January, and I could tell something was wrong. And the blood disorder was back.

Samantha Shere Beek:

And we put her on all these meds and she had her, you know, we had to do two trans blood transfusions. Let me tell you, pet costs,

Jessica Shere Coggins:

it's insane.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Insanity. Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I mean, we have insurance, but oh my god.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I did not have insurance for mine.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Oh my god. But I wouldn't change it. That's I the mean

Melissa Shere Beek:

And grateful that we couldn't do it.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah. Of course.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Very And

Samantha Shere Beek:

we every week, we go to the doctor and get her blood checked, and we started noticing she was losing a lot of weight. And then the day then her blood dropped on a Wednesday on a Thursday. And that afternoon, we brought her because we were taking her every week to get her blood checked. So the the day the week prior, she was at 22. This day, she's at 16.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I was concerned about her weight because you could see, but they said the prednisone makes them lose weight. We brought her home and like she couldn't walk. Her back legs like didn't have the muscles anymore. And then she you give her a treat and she gobbles it up. Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Always. I just noticed that she wasn't eating. And I just said we need to make a decision. And I'm thankful because it was a time when all my kids were home. It was a Thursday that we made the decision.

Samantha Shere Beek:

We brought her in on Friday. And the next day was Mason's birthday, so we didn't want her on Mason's birthday. The next day, Bria was gonna be away. And I didn't think she was gonna hold out. It was just per I I hate to say the word perfect timing, but it was the hardest decision, the saddest goodbyes.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Mhmm. And Mason and I brought her in and they told us that the procedure would work and I said I wasn't gonna stay in the Was

Jessica Shere Coggins:

it just you two?

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

No. You're crying. It's horrible.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Was just

Samantha Shere Beek:

us We did not wanna expose the kids to it at all. From the front, Izzy looked fine. She was perky. She had her ears rubbed. She was listening to the conversations.

Samantha Shere Beek:

We brought her in and I said I wasn't gonna be in the room. The doctor told us how it goes, this injection, that injection, this injection. And I was like, okay. He said, but listen, when I gave her the first injection, they put her to sleep but she can still hear you. So I'm like, oh, I can't leave this room.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Like, I'm gonna have to talk to her. Of course. So I talked to her and I Mhmm. I told her, if you can go, it's okay. And all of a sudden, I turned to my right.

Samantha Shere Beek:

And in twenty six years of marriage, never heard my husband wail. Wailed. It was so heartbreaking to hear my husband wail like that.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

And that's part of your family.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I know.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Jess, you're

Jessica Shere Coggins:

crying. It's I

Melissa Shere Beek:

had a dog

Samantha Shere Beek:

that died. It was is why I feel

Melissa Shere Beek:

have a dog all those those years. My kids are like, why aren't we getting another It's part

Jessica Shere Coggins:

of your life.

Melissa Shere Beek:

You're And I getting another could not get over Daffy dying. I remember she died on September 22, and I was away at college, and it crushed my soul. And I just couldn't survive that. People are like, I don't think you like animals. No, I love animals.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I get connected like, you know how I am with my dog and my cat.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Like Yeah.

Melissa Shere Beek:

That's my heart and my soul. I will be devastated and not recover.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I know. I keep thinking that Izzy's coming back, like she's just somewhere. She was so Aiden was 10 years old. Had her

Jessica Shere Coggins:

for a long time.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Stella was seven years old. Yeah. Brea was four years old. Yeah. I mean, they've, I mean, watched this this dog from nothing.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Long story short, it was the right thing. We ended up calling the breeder that we had gotten Izzy and Berkley from. And Mason and I are going away. And I just said, let's Mason, let's just we'll talk about Berkley is sad. She's definitely sad.

Samantha Shere Beek:

She's not eating. She's

Melissa Shere Beek:

seeing that. She looking

Samantha Shere Beek:

out the window. Definitely. And I'm like, and

Melissa Shere Beek:

I doors looking so busy to come back.

Samantha Shere Beek:

We I contacted the breeder. She lived in Sebring, and she's like, I just had a litter two weeks ago. I said, are you serious? She goes, yeah. She said, the mom of this new litter is related to Izzy's mom.

Samantha Shere Beek:

The birth date of this puppy is the day before Izzy's birthday.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

That's crazy.

Samantha Shere Beek:

And available for pick up when we return. I'm like, perfect. Done. Done. And I know like everyone's gonna be like, oh my god, it's too soon.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I'm like You can't

Jessica Shere Coggins:

worry about it. So it's too

Samantha Shere Beek:

soon. Amen.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I can't. Yeah, you can't.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I it's not too soon. You do what works I will tell you and a shout out to Thrive. So another blessing was that when we brought Izzy on Friday, the doctor wasn't there that I always go to and the three nurses that I rotate through weren't there. So I didn't see any of them, which I know that they would have been heartbroken to be a part of that. I went yesterday, brought a bunch of cookies.

Samantha Shere Beek:

They put me in the room. They put me actually in the room that Izzy passed away in. I really didn't wanna be in that room, but I did. I stayed there. The doctor comes in, the three nurses come in bawling.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yes. Crying over losing Izzy. And I'm like, damn. Like just how amazing these doctors were and how amazing Izzy was. Like Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

She would go in and she'd sit on her own chair because she didn't want, she just had her like she was just moving Yeah. Through had her spot. Like, Izzy was a special special dog. And I hemmed in a hover whether I did the right thing.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Of course you did.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah. Of course you did.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I know.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

You're always gonna think that, but it was just time.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I know.

Melissa Shere Beek:

You don't want her to suffer. That's the worst thing in the world.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I know.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I'm sorry, Steven. It's okay. Anyways, so we got a new one What's

Jessica Shere Coggins:

your secret

Samantha Shere Beek:

sauce? We we're playing with names. I don't know what the name would be. We should have people write in for a name. Write in for a name.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Starting with

Samantha Shere Beek:

Well, an we're I kind of wanted that, but Stella's like, no.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Start a new thing.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Ria's been away, so I haven't been able. Ria hasn't been up on the the names. But yeah, it's it's was an amazing dog. Dog.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Amazing.

Melissa Shere Beek:

She was. Izzy bop.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Izzy bop. Yeah. But you know what? Even Stella and Aiden say, they came home for college, they noticed that she wasn't herself. She wasn't jumping like she was.

Samantha Shere Beek:

She used to jump all the time. Yeah. She wasn't jumping.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Biggest jump is her.

Samantha Shere Beek:

My cleaning lady came in on Monday with this we did this on Friday. She wasn't there on Friday. She was crying so much. And I forgot, like, Izzy was used to this routine with my cleaning lady. Like, she would come in, attack her, she'd get a treat.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Every time I didn't

Jessica Shere Coggins:

anybody would every come time

Samantha Shere Beek:

the cleaning lady would leave, like come to the kitchen with her bag. Izzy knew it was her time to depart. Yeah. She'd come attack my cleaning lady and want the You're the She just knew like it just I mean,

Jessica Shere Coggins:

we all did when we came.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I know.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

That was like our thing. Berkeley's having

Samantha Shere Beek:

a hard time. Berkeley would wait for her to go outside together. Even the neighbor next door said her dogs miss Izzy because Really? They would communicate. Izzy would go over there and communicate.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Berkeley's not really doing that right now. Yeah.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Berkeley's sad. Berkeley's definitely sad. Well, meets her partner in crime.

Samantha Shere Beek:

It was her partner in crime.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Well, mean, didn't know anything

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No.

Melissa Shere Beek:

But Izzy, because Berkeley came on the scene and Izzy was the big sister.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yeah. She's looking for her.

Melissa Shere Beek:

She's looking for her.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yeah. I feel like Berkeley's so little too. But Izzy was Berkley's seven as gonna be five.

Melissa Shere Beek:

She's solid though. Solid.

Samantha Shere Beek:

But Izzy was seven.

Melissa Shere Beek:

They brought her over in the little cage. I said to Doug, what what the hell did they put like underneath the cage? Like, I went in, and it was just like a little blanket. I was like, she felt like a bowling ball. She She saw was like 30 some pounds.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Never I don't have trouble lifting stuff, but this dog was like-

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Wait, when did you watch her?

Samantha Shere Beek:

When we had to do the Homecut Hoco Oh, Lilo and Stitch.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. Oh, It

Melissa Shere Beek:

was so funny, but I I never felt it. I mean, and my dog's seventy pounds.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

She's like buff.

Melissa Shere Beek:

But this dog is like the tiniest little thing, but like solid.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

She's solid. She's solid. She's fast. She's so cute.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Mine's just fat.

Samantha Shere Beek:

She's funny

Melissa Shere Beek:

as hell. Yeah, so that was Cute personality. Yeah, very cute personality.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Very funny birthday.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Well, I'm

Melissa Shere Beek:

sorry about that.

Samantha Shere Beek:

It's, you know, it is

Melissa Shere Beek:

I'm sorry.

Samantha Shere Beek:

You know. I've Just got sometimes some I I really believe and things work out for reasons. It I believe that's wasn't like somebody's birthday, and then this new dog, this new puppy, it just was like I mean, I could say yes in a millisecond. Mason was like

Melissa Shere Beek:

I don't think Mason has a choice. I think he No, did he tell did.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Did when he saw this

Samantha Shere Beek:

one and he said, oh, it kinda looks like Izzy, okay. And we knew we were getting him. Okay. Mason, you hear that? You like well, you like our little shout outs to you.

Samantha Shere Beek:

So Hey, May May. Keep it going. Yeah.

Melissa Shere Beek:

He's a good choice. Alright, Mason.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. I I mean, it might be I'll treating

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

me and

Samantha Shere Beek:

Stellan. Can't pretend you don't. I think Aiden is the most anti. He's like, you don't need another one. You can't pay somebody.

Samantha Shere Beek:

You can't care of

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

them when you leave.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Aiden was very attached.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Aiden was hysterical.

Melissa Shere Beek:

He He was? Was?

Samantha Shere Beek:

Oh my god. He's like, this is my only friend. It was horrible. That got me. That got me.

Samantha Shere Beek:

That got me. Yeah. Aiden, like Well, he grew up with the dog.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah. Literally.

Samantha Shere Beek:

And they were No, the dogs would come to his room all the Adam was very

Jessica Shere Coggins:

He's calm one.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. That's why the dog went

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

to him.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah. To get some like relief.

Samantha Shere Beek:

He's the

Melissa Shere Beek:

only one in

Samantha Shere Beek:

there that's chill. Yeah. Yeah. Izzy would snore and Mason would snore and I could never tell who's snoring.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Can I tell a dirty funny story about Izzy? Oh, shit. Oh.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Oh god.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Samantha calls me one day.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Do you know this story?

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No. I'm scared Oh shit.

Samantha Shere Beek:

My kids

Melissa Shere Beek:

My are gonna like

Samantha Shere Beek:

kids are gonna know.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

It's dirty dirty.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Well, I mean, how do you think your kids got here?

Samantha Shere Beek:

Okay.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Yeah. Uh-huh.

Melissa Shere Beek:

After they had sex, is he jumped into the bed. Samantha Mason? Yeah. Who else?

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

How do you know this? No. She called me.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And she says to me, we're talking I called her, I guess I called her afterwards, Oh

Melissa Shere Beek:

my god.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And she's like, I can't find my underwear. I can't find my underwear.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Can't find my underwear. And then she jumps on

Melissa Shere Beek:

it.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I really is

Melissa Shere Beek:

a gift to aging. No. You're you're lucky that you're still here and you're still present.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I am. But let's hope it's just like a weird thing.

Samantha Shere Beek:

You're pregnant?

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No. Mm-mm. Okay. Questions, please.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Are hormones for it. Shit. Her eyes are well done.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Are they cool?

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

There's no Oh,

Samantha Shere Beek:

Melissa Shere Beek:

Okay. Go ahead,

Samantha Shere Beek:

I don't know if I Now you gotta

Melissa Shere Beek:

answer it because

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

you said

Samantha Shere Beek:

No, no, no, no, no. It's not bad. It's just very, like, wildest or weirdest dream.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Oh, okay. Wildest or

Samantha Shere Beek:

You know, I'm not gonna

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

I won't

Samantha Shere Beek:

I have a lot of dreams. Well, one where I lose my teeth. I don't know why. But I think there's No.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I have someone coming on doing dream analysis because that is

Samantha Shere Beek:

Oh, really?

Melissa Shere Beek:

That is one that is a reoccurring one for a lot of people.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And falling Jessica's losing her shit.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Like, all your teeth just coming out. Jessica really did lose her teeth.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

I know. That's why. Yeah.

Melissa Shere Beek:

That's true. Literally.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Literally. I have like another one

Melissa Shere Beek:

I don't have a new

Samantha Shere Beek:

anxiety and stresses,

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

I think,

Melissa Shere Beek:

that comes down

Samantha Shere Beek:

to know why I'm naked.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Stress, anxiety,

Jessica Shere Coggins:

and you just open your mouth and they

Samantha Shere Beek:

fall I'm be here for the dream But she's naked. Wait. Do you smile and they're not near or you like, don't and they're not I don't know. But I there is one dream that I have. It's really stuck with me.

Samantha Shere Beek:

It was an empty room and there was only a bed in it. And daddy was in it. He didn't talk to me.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No, I'm gonna just cry through the whole

Melissa Shere Beek:

the whole episode.

Samantha Shere Beek:

You're gonna lose your time. He was very young. He turned to me and it was just an empty room with a bed. I was standing behind him. He was standing in front of me.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I think there might have been a fan.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Did he say something?

Samantha Shere Beek:

Was it like a hospital room? No. It was an empty like an empty room, like empty walls, bed and just like it's so vivid in my mind.

Melissa Shere Beek:

He he didn't say anything to

Jessica Shere Coggins:

you? Nothing.

Samantha Shere Beek:

No. And I still like I know at what angle he was standing. I know at what angle I was standing. Yeah. You know who doesn't dream?

Samantha Shere Beek:

Well, said she had a dream the other I don't remember much.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Everybody dreams.

Samantha Shere Beek:

We don't always remember that. Ria says she swears she doesn't. But the other day she said she did wake up and she remembered a dream. Really? And it was a good dream and I'm not gonna say it.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Okay.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No. Don't say her dream.

Samantha Shere Beek:

No. No. But I would love to be here for that dream analysis person.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. I'm having someone calm for dream analysis.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I I'm I if I dream, I remember for five minutes, and then I said, I'm done.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Mine are very vivid. Mine are

Melissa Shere Beek:

very, vivid.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Okay. Well, then pick pick your pick.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Shocking up to menopause.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Menopause. Nope. We don't It talk about never

Melissa Shere Beek:

happened. Don't talk about it.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Needs a bit. I need to put glasses on because I can't see either.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Well, okay.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

That's It's

Melissa Shere Beek:

so much fun.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Menopause. Got some tornados.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

She called me again.

Samantha Shere Beek:

She hasn't been able to see her.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Oh, this is a good one. What do you value most in a friendship? Oh.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Good one.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I Loyalty and honesty. Oh. Without a doubt.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. Goes. 100%.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Fully. Somebody that doesn't Like if you don't wanna

Jessica Shere Coggins:

talk If you don't wanna be my friend and you don't, you know, wanna, you know, trust with things I say or

Melissa Shere Beek:

Not bad. Give me that. So it doesn't go back in there. Oh. It was right there.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

No. Yeah. I I That I one.

Samantha Shere Beek:

I mean, I talk about these two people in my life all the time.

Melissa Shere Beek:

We are grateful for those two friends.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

We know who they are. Yeah.

Samantha Shere Beek:

We know who they are. I don't know if they know who they are or if

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

they even

Samantha Shere Beek:

listen to us. They don't How to listen. They don't sugarcoat. I could

Jessica Shere Coggins:

give hints to them.

Samantha Shere Beek:

They don't sugarcoat anything when it comes to me. They are just flat out honest as fuck.

Melissa Shere Beek:

But I also think that beyond honest, they're great listeners.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Oh. Right. And you have to get someone. Get Yes. You know?

Melissa Shere Beek:

I have to have friend that I can call and I go, okay, I need to be snarky.

Samantha Shere Beek:

You have a friend?

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

I've seen the same with friend.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. Yes.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Okay. So I know I don't have any friends.

Samantha Shere Beek:

You do.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I do. You do. You have like five, No. But they're

Melissa Shere Beek:

I don't have any friends.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

You do. That's You do.

Melissa Shere Beek:

You do. Do.

Samantha Shere Beek:

There's two of them. Molly and Remy.

Melissa Shere Beek:

No. My girls are my best friends.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

And I know you talk to them. That you are close with. Okay.

Melissa Shere Beek:

There's One's a One's from childhood.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

Right.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Since

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Jay. Yeah. The initial. Oh. The initial.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And we talk about everything. Uh-huh. And and he's great because he know me from childhood. So there's nothing I need to explain.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

It's always gonna be like that,

Melissa Shere Beek:

I It's family.

Samantha Shere Beek:

No no no no. Yeah, okay.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And the other one is also from childhood, but she was younger.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

You have a friend from dance that I thought you were close with too.

Melissa Shere Beek:

I like a lot of women at dance, but I don't I'm not, I think, as fortunate.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

But who's this one who's younger?

Samantha Shere Beek:

From Trout of Perry. Mhmm. I just said it.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Yeah. Just said it. But anyways, so the thing is

Jessica Shere Coggins:

That's a great best friend

Samantha Shere Beek:

to have.

Melissa Shere Beek:

The gap of that closed when we got older because there was an age difference. So a different life experiences. So like as she got older and started having children, I had children, the gap of that closed. So I can call her and I can go, okay, I totally need to be snarky. Good.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And she gets the people, and she gets the relationships, and she understands it all. So like, she's the one I can let my hair down with. And and the other guy.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

It's can let

Melissa Shere Beek:

my hair down with. Outside of my husband and my daughters, those are the two people I am the most connected and honest with, that I could call anytime day or night.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

That's crazy.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Other than that, I don't have I don't have. I just don't. It's okay. I think it's amazing that

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I You could if you

Samantha Shere Beek:

want to, you choose not to.

Melissa Shere Beek:

You know, mm-mm. You say that, and I always wanted to have a a bestie.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Are you

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

cheating? Smith is cheating. Are you cheating while we're She's

Melissa Shere Beek:

going through

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

all of these. But

Melissa Shere Beek:

women aren't women aren't so nice as friends sometimes.

Samantha Shere Beek:

She does the same thing.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

No one knows.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yes, she would. You find it

Melissa Shere Beek:

hard to have girlfriends though? Because I

Samantha Shere Beek:

I find it hard to trust people. I think for me I just I don't know. Like I guess, like you have a daughter or you have two daughters, I have two daughters, I feel like that's like all I need.

Melissa Shere Beek:

Okay. But before you had your children.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Always There's certain friends for certain things. I know I can tell certain

Samantha Shere Beek:

friends for other friends like I

Melissa Shere Beek:

always wish that I had like a girlfriend. I thought, okay, I didn't have it growing up, I thought I would find it when my kids were little, but one woman said to me, and she's nice and she's friendly and she's wonderful, but she said to me, people are intimidated by you.

Samantha Shere Sharpe:

But I also think

Jessica Shere Coggins:

What? Yeah.

Melissa Shere Beek:

And it was like, If you know me, think I am the most loyal, best listener, like, would be a great friend, you know what I mean? I'm kind, I'm generous, I feel like I would be a great friend, I would love to have a girlfriend. And I went home and I said to Doug, I said, I can't believe that she said this to me. And he says, Well, that comes from people who are easily intimidated by someone who is all the things that you are, which I think is so cute because he's my husband and he said that. But like, I just thought like, I guess I wasn't given a chance.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I also think, I'm not just

Melissa Shere Beek:

saying Well, the it's three of for us.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

You don't really, like, necessarily need to go out and find that best friend.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Right. Because But we have built

Melissa Shere Beek:

in with us. But

Samantha Shere Beek:

that's what I'm saying too. Don't feel like we were close. Like, Jessica and I were close when you were Because

Melissa Shere Beek:

going there's ten years between us. When I left for college, she was seven years old.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yeah. It was a big eight year.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

But that closed up too.

Melissa Shere Beek:

That's what I'm saying. The

Samantha Shere Beek:

gap closes. Yeah.

Melissa Shere Beek:

But I had hoped that I would find it when my kids were in school and stuff like that.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

I don't know. I just think I know I can trust you guys. I know I can call you with anything. It's just my go to. Like, go for anyone.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Yeah. Like, I have the two that are like trustworthy. Have the

Melissa Shere Beek:

I just have these two from childhood that I love

Jessica Shere Coggins:

to met some really, like, over the years, some people that I actually like really like.

Samantha Shere Beek:

Is it

Melissa Shere Beek:

I love one of them.

Jessica Shere Coggins:

There's a bunch that have been so good to me and so nice. Is it like

Melissa Shere Beek:

Different, your childhood friends, from your newer friends?

Jessica Shere Coggins:

Not really, like I still have my childhood best friend.

Melissa Shere Beek:
