I remember it clearly. I was very small, maybe five years old. I was holding my mother’s hand as we walked over the sand. The sand was so hot! I felt like I was walking on fire. But then, we reached the water. The water was cool and salty.

I was standing at the edge of the ocean when a big wave came. I was terrified! I thought the ocean was trying to catch me. But my mom laughed and showed me how to jump over the waves.

I spent the whole afternoon building a sandcastle. I was trying to build the biggest castle in the world. I used shells for the windows and seaweed for the roof. But then, the tide came in. The water moved closer and closer, and suddenly... splash! My castle disappeared. I was a little sad, but my dad said, 'Don't worry, the ocean is just taking your castle back home.'

Now, I love the beach. It’s my favorite place to clear my head. The sound of the waves is like a song. When was the last time you felt the sand between your toes?"
