We don't have to convince my mother, we have to convince my father.
Dad, mom wants to execute me. Can you let me go?
Ask your mother, dear.
If I wear the ring with my internal organs, do I get the benefit?
Ghosts? No, they're not real. There's no afterlife.
The sky pirate who drowned.
I'm going to use the complication Chunky Salsa.
Ladies and gentlemen.
Thank you, thank you.
Let's get ready to play some Rot-Grain.
Harm.
Harm.
Out in the streets, they call it murder.
I'll come and see and it's back.
Dr. Phil.
Dr. Phil.
I have your thing.
Oh my God.
Oh gosh.
Hi everybody.
Welcome to another exciting episode of Rot-Grain.
Brought to you by all the lovely people at patreon.com forward slash narrative declaration.
Of course, our YouTube members and our Twitch subscribers.
And of course, you who are watching at home or listening on the road, hopefully that crash
sound did not make you scared on the drive.
That was you.
You've exploded.
Don't worry.
Now I'm just going to start playing my audios of cars honking.
Yeah.
Just get ready everybody.
And then squirreling.
And you know, it was like, you're going to be like in your driveway.
You're like, oh, it's really Raukes out there.
Now you're going to be like walking on the sidewalk and I'm just going to jump scare you
every five seconds.
You have like tire blow dot wave.
What the fuck thirsty?
What kind of sociopath are you?
There's reasons.
There is a phase.
The specific Doppler of a horn approaching you is about to impact you.
Oh, like the sirens getting closer to that.
That's a good one.
Oh, good.
Spotify used to have ads like that specifically to jump scare you in your car.
I think that's so fun.
I think those are banned now.
Like if you do that, you get fun.
Yes.
Yeah, no, there was an ad that started with like massive sound of cars honking.
The, um, I did tell me, tell me on a scale of one to 10, how evil this is.
Um, whenever I would stream ever so often, I had a soundboard button on my stream deck that
would play the Eve online engine warning sound.
Just randomly, I would press it.
Oh, fuck your monster.
Oh, my God.
Randomly, I would press it and just like not mention it at all.
Oh, Jesus.
For context, if you would hear that sound and you're playing Eve like on your second window
or something, that means someone's killing you and you're about to lose all your shit.
You'd shoot yourself.
It would just scare the shit out of them.
And I just, just not mention it.
I'd just keep doing what I'm doing.
Just randomly play it like once every other hour.
Wake chat.
I don't have the sound anymore, but like, it was like, that sound would only, I only remember
that sound from when I was doing those like deep space, not deep space excavations, but
like going through those, uh, like pirate jump points out into the middle of nowhere.
And then there were all those like seekers just floating around.
It's like, ah, my exploratorship is not built for this.
And then I get killed by a bunch of, a bunch of homing weapons.
Don't come out from South.
Scary.
Get killed by a bunch of homie weapons.
Yeah.
Homies.
Get killed by your homies.
Homies.
Homer.
My homies.
They got me.
If you had to get killed by anyone, getting killed by your homies, it's probably one of
the best ways.
Speaking of homies, we have all these amazing people here joining us here today for Rock
Rock, Ryan.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi, everybody.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi, everybody.
Hi.
Hey, welcome.
Hi.
Hey.
Hey.
Some exciting stuff happened last episode, didn't it, fellas?
It did.
Yeah.
Exciting stuff happened last episode where our eclectic, or no, sorry, run one.
Our band of chuckle fucks.
So you guys are chuckle fucks.
The other one's eclectic band.
And then the other ones.
I don't know what the Warhammer one's now.
We kind of lose the plot.
We lose the plot real fast in that game.
We don't even really have a band, like a group name in that game.
The descriptor I used for the website page was the least qualified rogue trader crew.
Wow.
Wow.
Even in this episode, we keep on dunking on speakers, rogue traders.
You know, I have to say, our group is probably more qualified than the old Wrath and Glory crew.
Not by much.
It's not a big bar to clear.
You do have an ogren that one-shots most shit.
You're making a lot of assertions about Reeb's ability to set things on fire.
But what happened last episode was a bit of a roller coaster.
We, us and our lovely band, decided to enter the arena.
The arena.
The arena.
The arena.
No.
I'm trying to do a visa thing.
And so, as we entered into the arena, we saw that there was some summoning going on, which were our opponent's amalgamations of anarchy themselves.
They bundled the rocks, furniture, debris, everything else, come forth from the ground itself and attacked us.
As we were engaged in a harsh battle against them, we also had to do performative tasks.
We had to make sure the crowd was happy with our performance, make sure we were putting on a show.
And, of course, Veena, our lovely captain, was able to go full of the tub of rocks, do various front flips, back flips, all sorts of things, and keep the crowd entertained.
Along with Baldry kind of doing an awesome juggling act, who says he can't juggle.
Well, Oren still panicked, still trying to keep everyone alive with healing spells, who kept constantly getting shot at by the crowd.
And as Rahua was doing Eldritch abomination-like moves against his cousins, because he was very much familiar with these Antarctic foes.
As we continue to battle on, unfortunately, chat was given a hero point.
And with that hero point, they summoned a bunch of fucking clowns.
Now, at first, we thought it was going to be funny.
But then we found that the clowns had like a billion HP.
And when we eventually killed one, they exploded into a rod explosion.
After we basically beat Thurston to death, the clowns disappeared.
The clowns disappeared, but we were also able to defeat our foes.
And I believe at this point, we're now after the arena fight and seeing the fruits of our labor.
So Thurston, unless I missed anything very important, which I apologize if I did, what adventure do you have for us today?
We are once again back in the lands of Andacia, as we are setting out for today's session.
Let me just pull up here.
The cheers of the crowd have died away again.
The sort of revelation at the end of the session that whatever sorts of strange creatures appeared, they did not process them in the same way that you did.
They did not see them as anything more than contenders for their amusement, we'll say.
Each of you now is having a moment to catch your breath.
As you do so, you can tell that Captain Volley has departed, leaving only Ulysse and the remainder of the crowd who continues their cheering.
And, you know, basically everyone is now shuffling their way out like at the end of a sports game where their team won.
Uh, the crowd seems very happy with what they've received.
All of you are sort of given a moment to breathe, uh, before the gate behind you crawls open, the portcullis rising, allowing you to decide how you would like to proceed next.
First and foremost, I'm gonna, uh, look over at Ulysse, and I'm gonna give her a big thumbs up and see if she looks satisfied.
Oh, yeah, you can tell immediately, like, she, she doesn't seem ecstatic or anything, but she looks at you and gives you one deep nod.
That's the highest honor we could have possibly received.
Fuck yeah, let's go.
All right.
So, that's a majority, at the very least.
We've got Sharkskin, we've got Ulysse, we've got Rotburner, and we've got, uh, uh, Yaiza.
Or, well, we don't have Yaiza.
Yeah.
We don't really have Yaiza.
But, uh, three of five, not bad.
Not bad at all.
Uh, Thurston, did the rule say it had to be unanimous or merely a majority?
It has to be unanimous.
Fuck!
I thought you said it was a majority.
Mamma mia.
Pizzeria!
Fact check.
Fact check!
Fact check!
No, it's okay.
You don't have to fact check.
Well, it's, it's, it's unanimous now.
It's unanimous now!
I was assuming it would be, have to be unanimous, but considering that, uh, Ulysse is likely to,
likely to bring around the rest of them if they were ever on the edge about it,
and also that fucking librarian who just wants to kill Dina is probably going to swing the minute it looks like it's, you know, not in her favor.
Problem is, Captain Volley is probably not going to change her mind unless we do something big.
So, we can either, A, go chasing after the crown now that we have three of the five Viconned who would throw their crews behind us, and three of the five Viconned plus us, I mean, it'd be a fight, but we could take the crown.
Reminder, reminder, I'm gonna, gonna put this out here.
I know we've often discussed taking the crown.
Remember that the crown is currently in the Halo Deathstorm that is outside of Outset, which is where you last saw it.
And the reason you're here is to gain access to some item or power that will allow you to enter that thing.
Oh.
Yep.
We're gonna have to, we're gonna have to actually do some convincing before that.
Okay, then I have an underhanded trick as a plan B that I mentioned before.
Uh-huh.
We don't have to convince my mother, we have to convince my father.
He is a much nicer man, and he is probably the only person on the planet that my mother can stand.
So, that's an option.
Let's go talk to him.
We could do that, or we could also ask for a stay of this execution.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Go ahead, go ahead.
I had my monitor on delay, so, like, for some reason, the VOD on the right side, so I could see the game, was delayed.
And it suddenly just showed me, as soon as, like, we have to go see my father, the picture of that fucking guy with the sandwich.
That's it, that's my dad.
It just attacked me, I'm sorry.
You can continue, but that was, oh, fuck, that killed me.
It's okay, I'll start shaking it around on the screen.
I'm stopping, I'm catching back up to the timeline.
Okay, okay, I'll start, I'll start.
Oh, go ahead, no, please, go ahead.
Skelly, Skelly, that's, that's, that's what the dad looks like now.
If there's art, you have to redraw it right now.
It's the sandwich guy.
Okay, I'll start over then.
Sorry, I didn't hear you.
All right.
Oh, I'm trying to remember what I was even going to say.
You were saying something about staying the execution.
Yeah.
Okay, right.
So, we could either do that, or we could be very convincing, and ask her to stay the execution long enough for us to get what we need here, and then go and get the damn ship that she's so bent out of shape about.
Now, that's probably the hard choice, considering I don't think she's liable to let you out of her sight without someone to enforce that.
Yeah.
It's unlikely that she'll roll over for that kind of thing.
Well, keep it in mind in case it doesn't work.
We run out of ideas, that's all we got left, really.
I mean, it's not a matter of running, it's a matter of getting her permission to get it back and potentially clear your name.
Do a lot better than just getting someone else to agree with it at that point, but we're asking about a lot of hypotheticals here.
Why don't we go through with what you're suggesting first?
Do you know where he lives?
Where he is, I guess?
Uh, Thurston, do I know where my dad is?
Where does my dad live?
Where is my dad?
Uh, well, um, you tell me.
Because he wasn't in the notes, I got really too much on him, so.
Oh, he is in the notes.
Is he?
I didn't, maybe I'm...
He's the second person.
Carry on.
Carry on.
Um, yeah, he, he's, would probably be wherever Captain Volley's home is.
They probably live near the outskirts of Ayesa itself.
Um, he's, yeah, he was an elvish gentleman and a renowned tailor, uh, who was, uh, born and raised in Outset and then came to Ayesa.
Uh, so he's probably near the edge of town, question mark?
Yeah, makes sense.
If you wish to proceed there, you certainly can.
Yeah, let's go.
I can't think of a better idea.
Besides just prying again with the dread captain, but, you know, you better.
Hmm, people like that, they don't want to give a second chance until they see results.
I say, if we can't sway your father, we look into simply doing a great deed.
That should provide you all the stay of execution you'll need.
Yeah, like doing a good deed, like helping an old lady across the street.
No.
Or helping her down the stairs.
No.
Or helping a street fall down the stairs.
No.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm thinking the legendary deed that you were exiled for, finding Papa Storm's crown.
The, the ship that's supposed to be outside of Outset that we're here to gain access to, but we need to get the thing from here first, Tannhauser?
Yeah.
Oh.
We need to find where to get the, the blessing.
Hmm.
What shows what I know.
I'm sorry.
I must have still had my head ringing from that dastardly storm.
Okay, Tannha, I know that you switched your operating system to Linux.
No, I didn't.
Linux isn't real.
You are making, no.
And I'll move on.
This is how it's going to be, huh?
No.
See, you're not hurting me.
You're hurting Zoran with that one.
Yeah.
I'm not hurting Zoran with that one.
No.
All right.
Yeah.
We move on.
Yeah.
Let's go see your dad.
I just want to see who the one who can tolerate your mom.
I'm also quite curious about that.
As long as this doesn't turn into an ask your mother situation, we should be okay.
There's a non-zero chance it turns into an ask your mother situation.
I don't know, ask your mom, kid.
Get out of here.
Dad, mom wants to execute me.
Can you let me go?
Ask your mother, dear.
Well.
True.
So we journey forward, Thurston.
All right.
To the outskirts of town.
Yeah.
Where their house would be.
So you make your way towards it.
Veena, I'm going to get you to describe the state of your family house.
All right.
The family house, I imagine, is not...
It isn't what one would expect to be the home of somebody whose title is Dread Captain.
It's probably this little...
Or it's this little cottage kind of embedded into the wall of the mountain.
The outside of it, all of the windows have these little window gardens of wildflowers and various things that grow up in the mountains.
There's, like, a well-kept lawn.
The paint is nice and cheery.
As the Dread Captain is not the homemaker in this situation, it would be her husband, Avere, the elvish gentleman who is a tailor by trade.
And, indeed, you would probably see a handful of colorful fabrics through the window and things like that.
Probably the smell of fresh-baked goods.
He's a house husband.
Okay.
He's going to convince your mom.
As you approach, one thing that's different from your description, Veena, is as you approach, there isn't the smell of fresh-baked goods.
Instead, the house seems to be closed up at the moment.
Oh.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm gonna knock on the front door a couple times.
Hello?
There's a...
There's a pause.
Wait.
Who's there?
Who's there?
Who's there?
An old, kind of hunched-back woman opens the door.
Or, uh, Veena, you'd recognize her as one of the housekeepers.
Um...
Is, uh...
My eyes seem to be deceiving me.
Yeah, it's me.
Can't possibly be you.
It definitely is.
Hello?
Oh.
We thought you weren't allowed back here.
Hmm.
Should you be here?
Um...
Should?
No.
But I am.
And I need to be.
And...
Is...
Is Dad in?
No.
No.
The Master's on vacation.
It's the cold season.
Fuck.
Crap.
Well.
He's...
He went back...
He went back to his home.
He's back at Outset?
Yes!
There's a...
There's a metal pang from behind Veena as Baldrick punches himself in the head.
He must have heard about all the free houses they're giving away out there.
He left to go join the revolution!
Yeah!
There's a lot of real estate!
Oh...
The revolution!
True.
I'm so moved by this flyer that we found.
You know, your dad really loved that communism.
You know him.
Wait a second!
I have godlike power!
I spend a hero point to make that the case!
You stole my dad for the revolution?
You know what?
You know what?
Veena...
Veena...
Mark...
No, no.
Mark fucking speaker down the hero point.
Speaker gets to get back at everyone who was involved in that last Monday session at least fucking once.
Veena, as you're, like, talking to this, like, house...
Like, house...
The house elf.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
The house elf.
Her name is Agnes, but it's pronounced un-yes because, you know, clearly it's an elven pronunciation.
Oh, of course.
As you, like, are speaking, you look behind and see just, like, on the wall one of Tannhauser's posters that's clearly been set up.
Veena's head turns with, like, a stone-grinding sound toward Tannhauser.
Wow.
What a surprise.
I...
It...
Yeah?
Tannhauser?
Mm-hmm.
Tannhauser?
Come here.
Come here for a second.
All right, sure.
Come on, Elvis.
Whatever you need, Veena.
Yeah, yeah.
Here you go.
Here you go.
Yeah.
Go into Veena's office.
Chat, we're not getting...
We don't get to be part of this one.
Yeah, close the door.
What the fuck?
How did your papers get here?
What did you do?
How did you do that?
Huh?
We are...
Huh?
Are you fucking with me?
What's the matter, Veena?
Your dad seems pretty cool.
I...
Tannhauser?
Huh?
Please get out of my office.
I'm about to throw a fit.
Wait.
What do you mean?
This is great.
You...
You and your father have something in mind.
You're both...
You're both connected to this political paramilitary organization.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tannhauser.
Uh-huh.
He's not here.
And I am here.
And he's not here to convince them to not kill me.
You're right, but I can't really criticize him.
Because he left to follow his aspirations, his heart, his head, and to bring a greater
world to the united revolutionary front that I present.
Veena, can I interest you in some of my literature?
Oh, yes, yes.
He was...
He was exchanging many, many letters with his friend, Tessin.
Oh, my God.
Little Tessin!
Was he little?
Yes.
And we're being little.
Well, that's great.
He was a mouse.
Well, Veena, don't worry.
Your father is in a better place now.
The Revolutionary Army.
I'm going to push Tannhauser into the ravine.
I short-circuited the water.
Goodbye.
You don't recognize Tannhauser in the water.
Girl, help me.
I'm into water.
Help me.
I am under the water.
I'm droning.
You said me?
Is there anything else, ma'am?
Are you going to rob the place?
No, I'm not going to rob the place.
Oh.
Are you sure?
Why would I rob the place?
Because if you rob the place,
I mean...
Uh-huh.
That's okay.
I'm tired of looking at that fucking poster.
Can you lay it out for us, please?
We're having a very long day.
Oh, if a bunch of strangers came here and ransacked the place,
then, you know, some of the items that maybe I've acquired over the years
might have gone with those people.
Wink, wink.
Stick it to your parents.
Wink, wink.
Wink.
Wink, wink.
Okay.
All right, yeah.
Arm walks inside and starts looking around for shit to steal.
Yeah, take whatever you want, I guess.
Okay.
I'd like to roll a perception check.
Yeah.
I also want to help Oren steal.
I'm going to also be rolling perception check.
Okay.
Please go ahead.
That is a two on the die for a 21.
I am distracted by the revolutionary material.
I got a 17 for a total of 37.
Ransacking the house seems to be probably the best option here.
So I'll just go through it as you begin going through Vena's childhood home.
But more importantly, the dread Captain Folly and all of her notable gear.
There's a couple of things of note.
There is 1,560 gold pieces worth of jewelry and coinage.
My God, we're just raiding the jewelry cabinet?
One of the rings is magical as well.
Oh.
Fuck you, Odo.
Oh, we're just raiding my prince.
One of the rings is magical.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh, well.
If you say that.
If you say that.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Hold on.
I wouldn't use the word stealing.
It's merely just advancing.
Reappropriating.
Exactly.
It's reappropriating.
It's a hand-me-down.
And I'm handing it down to me.
Do you know what this doohickey does?
Let me take a look at this doohickey.
Do I know what this doohickey does?
Give me an arcana check.
Well, I suppose I could do that too, boss.
Check this out.
10 on the die for a 33.
Ooh, it's a magic item.
It's a ring of swimming.
This is a ring of swimming.
In the air?
Is it just a tiny floaty?
Is it just like a cartoon that goes in your finger?
Or is it going on your waist?
A ring that looks like a lifesaver on a boat, but it's fit for your little finger?
Oh, that's cute.
I like that.
I would look bad with every outfit, though.
Imagine you're really bad at trying to, like, swim.
So the only thing that this ring is doing is buoying your hand up while the rest of you is drowning below.
So the rest of your body hangs limply beneath your hand, which is floating on the surface of the water.
It is a 12th level magic item that grants you a swim speed equal to half of your land speed.
12th level?
Damn.
This ring will allow you to glide about the water almost as fast as you do so upon land.
Mina!
As we stole this from your house, I think this technically still belongs to you when I hand it to her.
Okay, yeah, sure, thanks.
Almost like the thing in her house is aptly suited to her.
Yay!
You know what?
You don't really need this.
Oren, quickly, come here.
I need you to eat this.
Oh, okay.
All right.
Do you feel any different?
Do I feel any different?
Um, like a gram heavier.
I feel like a gram heavier.
I'm getting anywhere.
Well, I guess Oren gets the swim speed now.
Yeah.
We have to test this out.
Is that how that works?
If I wear the ring with my internal organs, do I get the benefit?
I mean, that's why we switched from, like, worn slots to investing magic items, so, you know.
Yeah, I invested in my stomach.
Yeah, yeah, that sounds legit.
All right, I got a swim speed now, permanently.
It's going to wrap itself around his colon, and he's going to have a perfusion later.
Oh, great.
Good job, Oren.
I'm really glad.
That item seems really well suited to you.
Ah, thanks.
I mean, yeah, statistically.
That wasn't, like, a childhood ring of yours or anything, right?
That your mom gave you?
Yeah, no, it had absolutely no sentimental value attached.
It was, like, the one good moment from your childhood, like, there's the Dread Captain
Molly.
You're, like, on her lap, and she's like, one day you'll wear this ring and inspire Dread
into so many of the other pirates.
You'll take my legacy out into the skies beyond.
Yeah.
And you won't get it.
Vina, when did your mom ever love you?
What are we doing?
And I remember when the mother had the ring and said,
And I know for a fact that you'll never let this ring get eaten by some sort of weird bird boy
for some dubiously funny bit, because that's just not in your character.
And I believed you too much.
You would never do something like that.
You're a very serious, you're a very serious woman.
What are we doing here, guys?
I'm trying to figure out if there's anything of sentimental value in here that we can kind
of, you know, play to Vali's senses.
So you ate the ring?
We don't know if that had any sentimental value.
It was confirmed that they have anything.
Can we ask Vali for an extension so Oren can pass the ring naturally?
I'll just throw it up.
You sure?
Yeah, I'll just go, and then I'll just throw it and go out there.
Oh, there it goes.
Yeah, it'll take more than a day to get through the other parts of the addition system.
So anyway, Veena, do you have anything, you know, that like your mom would kind of look
at and tear up and remember that she had actually a baby girl at one point and not, you know,
the failures that are represented in front of her?
Can you stop saying that about her?
Oh, my God.
What is the fucking problem, my God?
That one really stung.
I mean, I think it would be even worse if I said that there wasn't really anything like
that.
Thurton, are there any sentimental like portraits or something like that?
Or, you know, were all of those thrown into the fire dramatically while I was gone?
Um, there is one thing that you notice.
It is a portrait.
The portrait itself is not sentimental.
However, what is on it is it is a rendition.
Of the first dread captain's hat.
It is considered to be one of, if not the most powerful artifacts in the small nation of Andasica.
It was worn by the first dread captain, and since then, it has been placed into storage at the heart of where the Viscond meet.
Okay.
So this is a rendition of it.
Again, cutting back to your childhood and the rocking while your mother, you know, scolded you about the ring that should never go into the hands of a birdman or the stomach of a birdman.
Um, you were also told that one day this hat might be yours, that only the truly most respected and renowned of the captains of Andasica could wear this hat without burning alive.
Several captains have attempted to put this hat on and had their life force wrenched out and were immediately slain by the act.
Oh my god!
But the dread captain, Vali, believed that you wouldn't be such a wuss to have that happen to you one day.
Yeah, that'd be crazy if I was a big enough wuss for that hat to immediately explode me into goo.
If Vali comes up to you and be like, you need to put a, daughter, you need to put this hat on.
If you don't, pussy no balls.
And like, oddly enough, whilst the legend of this hat is like, you know, shrouded in the legacy of Andasica,
one thing that is like oddly detailed is like the way in which people die when they have attempted to put the hat on,
which usually involve like all of the liquid immediately being evaporated from their body
and then becoming like almost skeletal husks that are very much conscious and like have feeling during this process.
And then the combustion catches to air and they ignite.
Yeah.
Whoa.
That sounds kind of fucked up.
I mean, it's about being a dread captain.
Damn.
I would dread to have to become a dread captain.
That's so good.
Oh, the lift.
Wow.
Damn.
Holy shit.
Hey, everyone.
And also that guy.
You know what you did.
The Nardec crew have unleashed a brand new merch drop over at NarrativeDeclaration.shop

We also have holographic stickers and magnets available so you can rep your favorite council member of Arborea.
In addition to shirts, we have a new poster being added along with a new beautiful game mat design.
It's like a really big mousepad, really.
Put your cards on and feel safe.
Eclectics aren't getting all the love, however.
We still have plenty of Rockgrind merch available and a restock of the favored Rockgrind enamel pins.
Grab them quick while supplies last.
And speaking of, the Eclectics merch will be around until the end of January in 2026,
so be sure to snatch it at NarrativeDeclaration.shop before it disappears forever!
And with that, thank you so much for your support this year.
You've all been absolutely amazing.

Bye!
And so yeah, with that, you know that the hat is an extremely potent item in these lands.
It's basically the most legendary single object that there is.
But the fact that only the worthy can put it on their heads without dehydrate combusting
is kind of made it so very few people have attempted it.
Those who have, of all, dehydrate combusted.
Guys, I have a really stupid idea.
Okay.
But I think it might just work.
All right.
So this is the hat of the Dread Captain.
It is an incredibly powerful item that is very picky about who it likes to work for.
And most of the time when somebody tries to put it on their head,
they immediately dehydrate and then combust in that order.
That's rough.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's tough.
You've got to be an idiot to put that hat on.
Yeah.
I think I'm the exact kind of idiot who is going to put that hat on.
Because if you are worthy, then you do not dehydrate and then combust.
And if I'm not, then, you know, I had a good run.
I swear to God, Odo, if this is you staring at me going,
I'm calling your bloodthirsty.
If I die, I die.
But you should, well, what are the parameters that make someone worthy of this beautiful hat?
Thirsten, I'm assuming it's kind of arbitrary.
Yeah, like, like, it's one of those you have to be worthy of the legacy of the Dread Captain,
whatever that means.
The thought behind it is that over the years, possibly thousands of years even,
this thing has just been consuming souls.
So every time someone fails, it actually makes the next attempt harder
because it has more soul juice in it that makes it harder to be overcome
and, like, basically dominated by the wearer.
So it's an incredibly, like, powerful, like, soul-powered magical device at this point.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It requires a very strong force of will.
It requires a very strong force of will to put that hat on.
And it, uh, has a habit of consuming the souls of the unworthy
and making it even more difficult to become worthy of it.
So, um...
Yeah, if that thing is on my head,
it'd probably be pretty difficult for her to say
that I'm unworthy of...
of, you know, even...
that I'm unworthy of the legacy, essentially.
What do you believe that you are worthy of it?
I mean...
This is where Odo quickly goes and checks her will save.
Like, what's my will save? What's my will save?
What's my will save?
Yeah, what's my will save?
It's a little...
I think you're not worthy.
On a scale of 8 to 100, how will...
how willful do you feel?
On a scale of, uh...
You know.
Like a 30 is, uh, like a plus 18.
Oh.
It's, like, fine.
Oh.
It's okay.
Uh-oh.
Yeah?
Yeah, it's...
It's fine.
Yeah, dude.
Yeah.
Can I wait 15 episodes from now
where, like, all the comments are just gonna be...
I still can't fucking believe
Vina got ate by a hat.
Yeah, exactly.
It's rough.
Yeah.
We don't have to head chat about it, bro.
Like, like...
Like, getting eaten by a hat
is not the funniest way to go.
That is true.
That is...
That is true.
I'd...
I'd die like a legend.
Dehydrated and then exploded.
So...
I mean...
Gong, gong, gong.
You hear the immense gong sounds
coming from around various bells
that have been set up within the city.
Again, you're on the outskirts,
but you hear the warning gongs
of danger
that emanate throughout the settlement.
Oh, that's not good.
What's that for?
I don't know what.
We can discuss exactly how much self-confidence I have
and how much...
How good my will save is
after we go and see what's going on there.
All right, let's go.
Let's go.
Quickly, quickly.
Ha, ha.
Gong.
Gong.
Uh, people are rushing around.
You see, as you even enter
the sort of middle tier of the town,
everyone is, like, arming up.
People are running around.
It's like out of the scene
of, like, a disaster movie
where, you know,
people are just running in every direction,
clearly going areas,
but there's general gaggles forming.
Excuse me.
Pardon me.
Coming through.
Beep, beep, beep, beep.
All right, where are you going?
Where are you trying to push through here?
I think we're going to follow
the sound of that big old gong
like we're a bunch of
Scrooby-Doo characters.
We gotta.
Oh.
Yeah, um, you eventually get to
one of them
because they're set up throughout
and there is essentially, like,
a town crier,
a small child
that has been given
a paper that they're reading from.
The coastal settlements
is under attack right now.
Do not panic.
It'll be under control soon,
we hope.
Uh, uh,
it looks to be
unknown attackers
are attacking
the coastal settlement.
Uh,
the Waterway Admiral
prays for your restraint.
They're clearly trying to
read the words.
And this is Captain Sharkskin?
No, this is a child.
No, this is a child.
This is a child.
Okay, okay.
It was like standing on top
of basically barrels
reading from, like, a
like a paper writ
that they've been handed off.
Oh.
I repeat,
the coastal town
is under attack
by some force
we have in.
I
Dente
feared
it.
Yeah, you got it, bud?
Thanks.
It's my,
it's my first cry.
Oh,
you're doing great.
That was Carona's
what the fuck.
What are you doing here?
Get out of here,
wrong game.
Why is Carona here?
Wait a minute.
What world is this?
Bruce,
get out of here.
You're not in the right
setting.
Quickly.
Oh, sorry.
Back on the bird
of paradise.
Oh,
but they have
cadans on their ship,
sir.
Not another word.
Oh,
shit.
Fuck,
damn.
Oh,
Zoran,
have a hero point.
That's good.
You're welcome.
Hey,
my,
my,
my,
my soul,
me too.
We all did twice.
I'm just a little guy.
That's,
that's,
that's our love language
to each other.
We bully each other.
If you're not picked on,
you're not loved.
You'll all pay.
You'll all pay.
In dollars?
In cents?
Shillings?
We're not making much.
Dan,
it's real.
Oh.
Yeah,
remember how we said
you just would have left
the episode the other day
or until.
It was like,
that feeling was like
the sensation of like,
one of those houses
that's like built on
like the beach or something
and one of the,
one of the support beams
just cracked
because that's how I felt.
I leaned forward in my seat
for one after I just had
too many.
I just go,
ugh.
All right.
We're reaching critical,
critical mass on bits.
Let's go.
I've been putting,
I've been putting narrative forward.
You have to.
I get yelled at
when I try to move
the narrative forward,
so I'm letting it stick around.
Erndel,
stop!
All right,
now.
We have to go.
I'm going to get you
and I'm going to make it
look like a fucking accident.
Let's go,
everybody.
Holy shit!
Let's go save the town!
And Ernd begins
to rush towards the danger.
All right.
Yeah,
let's get back on board
the airship,
go down to the coastal sediments,
see what the fuck is happening.
And,
uh...
We have a day
for this,
right,
before you get executed.
Just want to verify that,
Veena.
I mean,
if I'm saving people's asses
on the coastal city,
they're going to have to go
really out of their way
to execute.
I mean,
yes,
but then we'll have to come back.
Well,
that's when we do PR.
That's when she comes back
as Veena,
hero of the coastal sediment
or wherever we're going.
Sediment?
Oh, my God.
It's okay,
Tenthhauser.
We know it's your first day
crying, too.
Yeah.
That's my first day crying.
Usually,
I'm the one causing chaos.
I don't know why
all of a sudden
I'm the one
I'm the one
burdening the...
But chaos,
that's for who's territory.
It is my territory.
Why aren't we killing people yet?
Yeah, let's go.
It's a good question.
Let's go.
Hot two, hot two, hot two.
I grab the scene
and I move it forward.
We did it!
Thurston, go,
before we talk again.
Yippee!
Yeah.
So, Veena,
a couple of things.
You would know
that
the coastal settlement
from here
is actually very close.
It's almost like
it's a suburb
of the city
rather than
like its own.
It's
maybe
a
two-hour
trek
from where you are.
Taking the airship
wouldn't really work
because it's coastal
in a very rocky area.
Ah.
So,
you'll need to
traverse there
on foot.
Also,
there's no airship
dock there
that would,
you know,
dock your airship.
All right.
Never mind on the airship.
You haven't got that Final Fantasy upgrade
that lets you land
in clear fields yet?
Damn.
I know.
Maybe once we beat
Sephiroth.
Anyway.
We're going to have to
hoof it.
I'm calling,
I'm calling a moratorium.
Hold on, Oren, you have to dodge
the lightning a hundred times.
Okay, no.
I'm calling a moratorium.
Odo, Odo,
I'm grabbing you.
I'm calling a moratorium
on bits.
We have to,
we have to stop.
All right,
all right,
let's go.
We're moving.
We're moving toward
the coastal settlement.
The coastal settlement.
We're going on foot.
Fuck you, Ardell.
Okay.
No more bits,
he says,
immediately doing another bit.
Yes.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
You make your,
fucking Christ.
It's going to take everything
for me not to say settlement.
You make your way
towards the coastal settlement,
rushing along.
There aren't as many
of the people
who are heading
towards the danger,
more that there are people
who are getting armed
and ready to protect
their stuff should again.
As you begin
to rush down,
you're kind of going
through these rocky
outcroppings,
areas that are sort of
maybe 10 feet wide
in some places.
Veena,
you know these
like the back of your hands.
You came up and down here
often as a child.
So this is all
second nature to you.
The rest of you
are having some
just like uncomfortable,
like,
think of like,
I don't know,
Lord of the Rings,
Return of the King,
like the Paths of the Dead.
It's very like tight
and winding
and high
like stonework
around the jagged
piercing
sections
and on top of it all
it's getting foggy.
So it's like
the outset
when it's foggy.
Yes,
yes,
yes,
just more,
just more like
unfinished rock
than anything else.
Oh,
so this is like
jagged like stonework.
Well, not work.
It's like we're
going about to fall
into the pond's
bolaster hole
when it's foggy.
Yeah, kind of.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
As you make your way,
the smell of embers
comes on the air.
The brief sound
of burning.
You can tell
that there's been
the discharge gunfire
up ahead.
Smoke.
You can see
that
up ahead
there is
the
telltale sign
of
the coastal settlement.
You kind of
come up
of a path
that leads
down towards it.
Now, as you do so,
one thing
that you notice
towards it
is that there is
kind of a
crashing
cliff face
where water,
I should say,
is crashing into it.
There are docks
that have
no one on them.
There are buildings
that appear to be
somewhat damaged.
What you're seeing
at this point
as you are
approaching
is that there is
a deep fog
over
everything here
and then the smell
of embers.
But you then
notice
kind of coming
through the fog
is this
black
miasma
that seems
to have
swelled up
from the coast
and touched
the edge
of the building
of the buildings
here along
the sort of
kind of nub
when you come
into the coastal
village.
as you
get closer
to it
and begin
to descend
down
I think
I should
be able to
get one sec
here.
Okay,
perfect.
You find yourself
coming between
several buildings.
As you do so,
I'm just going
to
set up
a map
here
very quickly.
All right,
good.
All right,
moratorium on
bits has ended
but we wait
for Thurston.
Okay,
I'm going
to
very quickly
bring us
over to
this
stunning
map
we have
here.
Oh,
lovely.
It's
foggy.
It's foggy.
It's a
coastal
settlement
map.
It should
be pulling
up here.
Oh,
crap.
Thurston,
I just
realized
something.
We just
came straight
out of
combat
with
Yeah,
so I've
put your
tokens on
here.
You can
take some
time to
heal
yourselves.
I'm
worried
about my
my grenade
supplies.
Correct.
Well,
all right.
Awesome.
I'm down
to
versatiles.
Uh,
well,
well,
actually,
I see I
have a
thing in
my inventory.
I have
one moderate
acid flask
that I
think you
gave to
me forever
ago and
I never
used.
Oh,
no,
I have
to be
completely
honest with
you.
A moderate
acid flask
I can do
better with
a versatile.
Wait,
if you
must have
something,
I'm going
to hand
you something
in my
inventory.
I'm going
to hand
you my
magic wand
of third
level
fireball.
Okay.
Oh,
my God.
Baldrick's
a wizard.
No,
he isn't.
Are you a
wizard,
Mr. Baldrick?
I'm going
to kill
you all
and put
your bodies
on top
of pikes
and you
will furnish
my abode
with your
screaming faces
if you
do not
pitch this.
Tannhauser,
the wizard,
the wizard's
here.
Baldrick,
Baldrick begins
banging his own
head.
He's
casting a
spell,
watch out!
Look at the
spells!
Get me
out of
here.
You
irritate
me,
kid.
As a
reminder
for everyone
on your
tokens,
if you're
prone or
have
bless on,
stuff like
that,
be sure
to right
click the
buffs off
so you
don't map
at all.
I'm going
to put
myself back
to full
health,
but I'm
probably
going to
be,
my combat
ability is
not going
to be
quite as
bursty at
present because
I'm going
to have
to quick
alchemy
some things
together if
I want to
get the
most out
of it.
I only got
six left.
Oh my
lord.
Sorry.
You keep
highlighting
everybody on
accident.
No, I'm
intending to.
The problem
is that for
some reason
on the GM
side, I'm
constrained as
the GM by
walls, which
is annoying.
So if I drag
people to try to
position them on
the map, it
doesn't like
that.
And I have to
take you all
off.
It's one of
those annoying
setting things
that, yeah.
Also, when you
can't put the
camera on, party
setting.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I just
want to kind of
get everyone in a
good position here
to sort of.
Yeah, Rahula,
take off your
blast because that
wouldn't be there
anymore.
Just right click
the buff off.
The Oren buff,
you can right
click off.
That fly, you
can take off.
Tenhauser, you're
prone still.
Right click that
off.
Oh, that's not
good.
I shouldn't
prone.
Tenhauser, get
up.
I think we're
dying.
Yeah, get up.
Stand up, Mr.
Tenhauser.
Well, okay, I
suppose.
I would like to
give Baldrick my
magic wand a
fireball, however.
Yeah, put it in
the party stash and
then Baldrick can
grab it out.
Oh, good.
Yeah.
Let's do that.
Yeah.
It'll be easy.
You know how to
do it, right?
Oh, I did it.
Yay.
Yay.
Yay.
Yeah.
Then Baldrick can
just grab it out
of there and
fine.
There is like a
trading system in
Foundry, but I
don't think we
have that on.
Okay, I will
grab that
someday.
I'll deal with it
in the moment.
It's in the party
stash.
Continue.
All right.
So you can see
the settlement.
I've tried my best
to give you a
vision of what
you can see around
here.
actually just
kind of move you
around.
You get a bit
better.
Holy crap.
You know, what
the hell is that?
Okay.
There we go.
What the hell is
what?
That over there.
That's water.
That's water.
Yeah, but that's a
lot of it.
What is that?
Oh my God, you're
from the desert.
As you say that.
If you swim inside
of it, you'll turn
into a fish.
Is that true?
Yes.
Yes.
No.
It's true.
I've watched it
happen to a man
before.
Everyone say yes.
It's not.
Stop.
He's saying yes.
We can't do this
to him right now.
You'll turn into
a fish.
Continue what you
were saying.
We can do this
later on the ship.
Can I make a
deception check?
Yes, you can.
Yeah, go ahead.
It's a very solid
deception check.
I'd hold on a
second, all right?
Because Tannhauser
wasn't born yesterday.
Let's see your
perception check.
He was born
yesterday.
He was born
yesterday.
Yeah, I was born
yesterday.
We're going to roll
a 30 and Tannhauser
roll a 25.
Tannhauser, you
wouldn't believe this,
but I've seen people
turn into fish
before, but you're
not really much of
a man anymore, so I
wonder if you would
just gain the benefit
of water breathing
if you went in the
water.
I'm going to go see
what alcohol I have
left.
I uncritically believe
everything you just
told me, Ruhua.
You should go drink
ocean water immediately.
Okay, boss.
As you begin to
eye up the ocean
like it is a
magical font of
magic water that
will save your
entire existence.
It won't, but
as you think this,
you begin to see
coming out on
the docks, not
emerging in a
traditional way,
but almost
floating up are
several figures
that appear to be
humanoid, but
they're somewhat
translucent, and
as you see them,
you see on their
bodies are these
like darkened
boils that are
still somewhat
like you can still
see partially through
them, but these
boils rise around
their body.
They clutch almost
stereotypical pirate
weapons in their arms,
but their faces
are these
impassable
stone
masks
that stare
out.
I'm just gonna
put a couple of
these, and they
seem to float out
of the ground
here.
They look
like this.
Yarr, dare I
say it hard.
Great, great,
great art piece
by Skelly.
Thank you,
Skelly.
Also, amazing
map from my
partner, Jamie,
who made this
literally today,
so good on
them.
Yeah, that's
nice job.
Damn, Jamie.
Good work, Jamie.
It was made in
a day.
Yeah, well,
yeah.
Yeah, but you
see that these
figures are
advancing on
you and seem
to have some
malicious intent.
As you look
around, you can
see to the
north that there
is more of
this coastal
village.
It is also
similarly besieged
by these same
creatures far off
in the distance,
probably several
hundred feet
away.
You can see
the dread
Captain Volley
battling along
with others
against these
fetid foes
that have emerged,
these specters
that rise up,
but they are
definitely coming
to threaten
you, so let
us roll
some initiative.
You got it.
All right.
Let's get into
it.
I would love
to, but
sneakers die
rolled onto my
button.
Here we go.
Wait, no, that
was a 13.
That looked like
my dice.
Why did your
dice look like
my dice?
I don't know.
Yeah, some
of you guys are
like my
dines for some
reason, which
is weird.
Also, you're
all my dice.
That's weird.
All right.
I want to go
from the top
to the bottom
of the order.
When I call
your name, just
tell me what
you got.
Baldrick got
a 41.
Then one
of the enemies
got a 37.
The other
one got a
33.
Then Vina
got a 33.
So you're
matching in
with that.
One of the
enemies got
a 27.
Another 26.
Oren got
a 26.
So he's
going to be
below him.
Rua got
a 23.
And then the
enemy got a
21.
Then Tannhauser
got 21.
Yeah.
It's at the
bottom of the
initiative order.
Baldrick's at
the top.
Combat begins.
Okay.
So in this
position, I'm
okay with
standing exactly
where I am.
I think.
Let me quickly
measure some
things.
65.
Awesome.
55.
Yeah, because
unfortunately, I'm
going to have
to quick
alchemy for
my remaining
six bombs.
So that's
going to really
inhibit my
ability to
move and do
things at the
same time.
You can do
it.
You're a
wizard.
So what I'm
going to
drip my
shambord and
I'm going to
explode.
I'm going to
quickly throw
together a
junk bomb
grater out of
my versatile.
So reduce
first dial by
one.
Give me a
junk bomb
grater.
Draw and
throw greater
junk bomb at
this fellow to
the southwest.
Okay.
Is the fog
giving me any
kind of trouble?
No, the fog
here is is
incredibly light.
You can see the
fingers.
The problem more
miraculously is you
don't know what this
translucence on
them is.
Well, we're
about to find
out whether a
greater junk
bomb does
anything or
not.
Let's see.
And I have
that set as a
debilitating
bomb because I
don't need to do
anything.
I don't want to
put sticky on
him.
I just want to
do debilitating
if possible.
We'll see if it
goes through or
not.
Oh, that's a
critical hit.
Whoa.
Starting off
stride.
Good crit.
Use a grenade.
All right.
I'll roll the
crit damage.
I guess there's
no less you're
going to say that
that didn't
happen.
No, you can
roll crit damage
on him.
Okay, here we
go.
This, by the
way, has the
effect of
debilitating
bomb.
I just need to
put that up
there.
I need to
list what that
does.
40 straight
damage at the
target is pretty
nice.
You can tell
that a lot of
this damage is
absorbed because
it's incorporeal.
It takes damage
from it.
The sheer force
of the impact
hurts it, but
as it's an
incorporeal
creature, it
is not
as effective
as you would
assume.
Okay, so it
took half damage
from that.
That's a lot
of D20s you
just threw
out.
I don't
know why it
did that.
You had us
all selected
and it's like
the 14 save.
So it'll,
because you have
them selected,
it does it for
everybody there.
Eh, sorry.
I will, uh,
well, the one,
the one, uh,
failed with a
30, so ignore
all the other
ones.
Okay, so he is
debilitated then,
and I'm going to
put him at a
off guard minus
five.
Let's dazzle
do again.
Sorry, I'm
checking all
this.
I'm going to
have him be
dazzled for
the duration.
Got it.
Shall I just
drag?
Okay, you got
it, good.
Uh, and
because of all
that crap that
I just had to
do, that's the
end of my
turn.
Oh, not
delay, I'm
an end
turn, you
fucker.
Could you
put me above
him again for
some reason?
I clicked the
end turn and
it delayed
instead.
All right.
This guy is
going to float
up to here.
He's flowing
up to there.
As it floats
up, its head
sort of tilts
as it looks
around.
You can see
in front of
you, the
ground is now
like pustulating
with rot tumors
that have burst
out from the
ground.
Sound of
fighting intensifying
from everywhere.
Um, it
comes up
and then
it
begins to
flicker in
and out of
existence as
its head starts
to move around
quickly as
though it's
casting some
kind of innate
spell.
Um,
after that
is done,
you can see
that its form
is now distorted
as though it
were just like
flickering.
Um, it
will end its
turn and at
the end
of its
turn, uh,
it teleports
to here.
And that's
its turn.
That brings us
to the next
one.
The one down
by the dock
looks up at
you.
Uh, some of
you sort of
broken by the
buildings.
Its head
again doing
this sort of
back and
forth
rotation.
motion.
Um, it
then moves
up to
here.
This one
seems to
have a
pistol out,
uh, but
it floats
up and
looks at
Orin.
Nuh-uh.
Uh-huh.
My boy.
Uh, Orin,
I think
this should
give you
a will
save.
Oh, he's
confused.
No, no,
no.
Well, the
five on the
die.
Yes.
I'll use that
hero point you
gave me.
No.
I roll
18 on the
die now.
We're total
30 and I
critically
succeed.
Sweet.
Thank you for
that hero point.
All right.
That'll be
that one.
Uh, Captain
Beena, you're
up.
For once,
Orin is not
confused.
For once.
You're a
wizard.
For once in
his life.
He knows
exactly what's
going on.
First time for
everything.
True.
All right.
I'm gonna do,
uh,
let's see.
That credit
says, yeah,
you can take
confusion off
me here.
Oh, I
got it.
I got it.
Never mind.
Why did it
put it on you?
It shouldn't have.
All natural
black raspberry
liqueur.
Product of
France.
All right.
I'm gonna move
first action.
Second action.
I'm gonna
tumbley through.
It's on combat
right now,
both of them.
Now it is.
Sorry.
It has a thing
where you have to
click it and
set it.
So sometimes it
gets unclicked
for some reason.
We got it
figured out.
Vena moves
down to the
south over to
one of the
guys.
Yep.
And I'm
gonna tumbley
through.
Give you an
acrobatics.
Natural 20.
Oh, natural
20.
I tumble.
You panache.
I've got that
panache.
And I'm gonna
do it here.
Make it easy
for Gorgamonger
to possibly come
in for the
flank.
Because is this
an obstacle
or is this
just decoration?
that thing
there is
no, it's
it's just
decoration in
this case.
It's not
big.
All right.
All right.
Then I am
actually gonna
tumble through
to there.
Make that
flank real
easy.
And then I'm
going to
finish him.
Finish him.
Oh, God,
she's going
slow.
I like that
we're all
waiting.
Like, okay.
Okay, we're all
politely waiting.
The fatality
is loading.
Yeah, it's
taking a second.
Oh, friendship.
Okay.
Dang it.
No, that one
does hit.
No critical,
but that will
be the
number.
The finisher
damage.
32 to hit.
Nice.
And he is
off guard to
your next turn.
Damage is
going to be
25 total.
He takes
only two points
of damage
from that.
Oh.
two damage.
Interesting.
So, let's
see here.
Yeah.
So, you
might be
realizing that
ghosts have
some things
that may or
incorporeal
creatures have
maybe have
some things
going on that
are a bit
tricky here.
So, we'll
come back to
this.
You might
need to call
on your
allies.
I mean,
yeah, you
need to
consider
going wildly
through this
thing and
then just
don't hit it
with your
fists.
Hey, hey,
hey, listeners
chat.
Look, look,
look, I'm
being nice.
I'm not
throwing a
stupid high
level incorporeal
thing at them
as their first
angle with an
incorporeal
thing.
I'm teaching
them more
skills they
need to
learn.
Oh, we're
pathfinding.
All right,
what's the next
guy doing?
Oh, my
gosh.
The next
guy, the
next guy is
standing there
and then
proceeds to,
okay, this
is so weird.
He proceeds
to do
some very
strange magic
as its body
jerks around
like a
marionette,
its head
kind of
cocking back
forth to
the side.
It
creates
and bends
the geometry
of space
nearby.
It's going
to create
a couple
areas of
bent geometry.
Oh, he's
putting my
ass in the
cube.
You're
in one of
the cubes,
yes.
Welcome to
the cube.
The hyper
cube.
They're
sending my
blue ass
to the
cube.
Okay,
so
I'm
going to
you're
going to
have to
give me
a will
save.
I'm
going to
share this.
This is
a spell.
You should
have a will
save.
You can
click on it.
Well, as
we've
established, I'm
really good at
will saves.
Yeah.
It's like my
best one.
That
failed pretty
bad.
Do I want to
hero point
that?
That's
you know
what?
I'll
take it.
I'll
take it
on the
chin.
Okay.
So you
see this
fact, like
everything
kind of
starts
spiraling
out.
Space
and
dimensions
seem to
break as
the coherent
universe falls
apart as
these strange
incorporeal
beings of
rot stare
at you.
yeah, so
that's
it's go.
You know,
Kino, it's
all three
actions to
do that.
The one
that is
badly hurt
from the
bomb that
hit it
will
look over
to you,
Baldrick.
Its head
will stop
jerking.
It will
stare
directly at
you perfectly,
which is it
casting
sure strike
on itself.
It is
dazzled so
it can
affect itself
with sure
strike,
right?
And then
it is going
to attempt
to attack
you as
it raises
what appears
to be a
spectral pistol
and fires
it.
It rolls
twice and
picks the
best results.
Yeah.
OK, it
passed the
dazzle check.
It does
pass the
dazzle.
So we'll
hit you
with three
and we'll
get
not much
only 12
points of
rod damage
to you
as the
bolt hits
you and
you feel
this like
singeing
not it
doesn't feel
like you've
been hit by
a bullet
but just
like almost
splashed by
some kind
of acid
that goes
under the
skin.
And that's
that creatures
go.
Orrin,
you're up.
OK.
I'd like to
spend one
action to
kind of
recall knowledge
on these
guys to
get some
information on.
religion or
occultism are
the two
appropriates
here.
Let's see
what I
have.
Hmm.
Neither.
Hmm.
Yeah, I got
like these things
might know
these you are
the natural
guy.
These are
the opposite
of natural
things.
I'm
spook
fellas.
We'll
abandon
that then.
And I
want to
think about
what these
are.
I've thought
enough.
I don't
have no
fucking
idea what
these are.
I think
I want to
stop thinking
about these
actually.
Oh, God,
I want to
do it like
an experiment,
but I don't
want to like
fuck it up.
Oh, gee.
delay until
we have our
expert take
a crack at
it.
I can still
do something
here.
Like I don't
need a delay
for this one.
I still have
options.
It's just
depending like
how I want
to go through
this is the
big question.
Oren is
going to go
over to
Rahua and
be like,
here you go,
Rahua.
Have a
have a haste.
Wow,
cool.
It's supposed
to be there.
There you go.
Yeah, so he's
going to cast
haste on Rahua
and go
rahua,
rahua,
rahua.
So Rahua
now has
haste.
You'll have
that for
one minute.
If you want
to drag that
buff onto
yourself via
chat there.
I will do
just that.
It looks like
the spells
now seem to
be affecting
you if you
cast them,
which is
interesting.
You have
to do
certain
targeting
things to
make it
work.
It's fucked
up.
No, that's
what I mean
though.
That is
something that
has been
more turned
on now.
And then he's
going to give
his other
action to
Gorgormungar.
So you can
go over and
help.
Gorgormungar is
going to rush
on over.
He can only
get up to
here for one
action and
then finish
his second
move up to
here.
So that's
one, two.
Yeah, one,
two, one,
two.
That's all
you can do.
So that's
the end of
my turn.
Gorgormungar,
go help.
They look like
ghosts.
Ghosts?
Yeah, they're
not real.
There's no
afterlife.
What do
you mean?
What?
Yeah, there's
nothing after
that.
You just
kind of get
recycled.
Holy shit.
Then what the
fuck are these
guys?
Yeah.
Are these
people not
recycled?
There's nothing.
There's nothing
out there.
I'm not going
to sugarcoat it.
There is no
heaven.
Wait, wait,
but several
people have
died.
Then surely
we can...
Vida, do you
remember...
Vida, do you
remember if you
went to heaven
after you died?
I think on it.
Did I go to
heaven when I
died?
I want to
point out
something very
funny right
now.
I look at
Baldrick's
sheet, I look
at deity
atheist, and
that Baldrick is
the only person
in the party
that's not
bothered by this
revelation.
Yeah.
Obviously, there's
nothing.
Yeah, there's
no such thing
as magic.
They didn't say
nothing.
Atheism does not
apply to magic,
only to gods.
checkmate.
Rahua, you've
really bummed
me out.
I think you
should go now.
Oh, it is my
turn, so okay.
So Rahua is
going to move
it on up, and
thanks to that
haste, I can
actually get into
Move along
home.
Position.
Position.
Go left
and down.
There's a ball
there.
Yeah.
Evidently
fucking not.
Sorry, Rahua,
you want to go?
I'm tired.
I seem to have
gotten myself
stuck.
No, I'm trying
to get you
to pass.
Let me move.
No, I'll tell
you.
Okay, one sec.
Rahua got stuck
on bad geometry
for saying heaven
wasn't real.
Yeah, there you
go.
Thank you, I
appreciate it.
And I'm
going to move
right there.
What is
happening with
these fucking
They're
breaking geometry.
I told you
this.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh.
Yes, I
don't mean to
be the bearer
of bad news,
but these
aren't like
ghosts.
They're kind
of like, I
don't know,
afterimages.
Have you ever
played Death
Stranding?
This seems like
Death Stranding.
I was going to
mention that at
one point.
I feel like
I'm going to
play, I feel
like Hulk is
going to play
Death Stranding
after this and
get really mad
about this
encounter for
some reason.
I'm going to
line myself up
here.
Who's going to
walk on over
Thundering on up
to Veena and
Gorgamunger?
Yes?
Uh-huh.
Okay.
No, no.
Keep going.
Keep going.
Keep going.
Yeah.
Cool.
He's going to
look at what's
unfolding in the
tangling geometry
of space-time
next to him.
It's like,
hmm.
Yeah, that
really shouldn't
do that there.
Anyways.
Because you're
like standing
five feet away
from like the
Escher drawing.
Yeah, not
going in that.
Nope.
Yeah, not much
a fan of that.
That's chaotic,
but that's the kind
that's not supposed
to happen right now.
Anyways,
Rahua's going to
just look at Veena
and hold out
his,
sorry,
it's hands.
So he holds out
both his hands
per the wording
of the spell
and cast Radiant
Bean.
Okay.
And I'm going to
cast that in a
straight line.
Boat, boat.
Going towards
and trying to line
up with these
two.
Wait, wait,
wait, wait,
wait.
One sec.
I want to just
see something here.
I'm curious.
the other option,
my, my dude.
Hey.
I think you can
get both of them.
I think I can.
And I did have
leftover movement
to actually
who tends to be,
so I'm going to
absolutely go.
You can get all
three of them
if you would like to.
I would love
nothing more
than to cause
indescribable agony
for my enemies,
so I'm going to do
just that.
Optimize that beam.
I'm going to
optimize that beam
right there.
Thurston, you know
what?
I appreciate you.
I appreciate you
so much,
especially because
no.
Yeah, Thurston,
you can have a
villain point.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I'm taking that.
You heard it, chat.
You heard it.
Why the fuck
did you say yes?
I didn't think
I had the authority,
but you relinquished
authority in that
moment, so now
I'm gone.
There's no heaven.
No hell, only me.
Thurston, that was
an excellent play.
Please take
another villain point.
No!
Thanks, speaker!
Zarn, we're going to
need to update
the overlay.
We need the
villain points back.
No, we're not going
back to the old system.
And this shambord
is really tasty.
I'm glad that I'm
drinking right now.
What are you drinking?
Shambord.
Yeah.
Not whiskey?
Not whiskey?
Damn.
All right, I am going
to start with the
first one, and I will
start my reflex saves.
Starting with the
first one.
That will be a
success, but just
barely.
The next one.
Another success.
And the one in the
far back.
Another success.
So you can roll
damage, and they'll
all just take half
saves from this.
Yeah.
It's, this is where
clerics do stuff a little
bit, because you kind
of have to balance,
like, are you, like,
going to high?
Spellcasty, are you
doing the physical
stuff?
So, yeah.
Well, we're
ready.
With incorporeal
foes, it's, uh,
it's the way.
At least for right
now.
This is the way.
Ooh, and poopy
damage.
That's 23.
Oh, well.
Yeah, except, one
sec, this should, uh,
this should not, yeah,
okay, so this is
correct, yeah.
Uh, all right, so,
what the, why is it
damaging?
I don't have you
selected.
Kill Ruho.
So, the, the buttons,
I was like, do they
have, do they have, do
they have mirror skin?
Oh, Ruho did target
himself.
Oh, you see, that'll do
it.
That'll do it.
So, if you want the
normal buttons, see the
plus left to the 23,
click that, and I'll
have the normal damage
buttons.
I can also just do
this the, the other
way, which is for me
just to write in,
because they all have
the same amount of
things, so I'm just
going to do this
manually.
Okay.
Glad I radiant
beamed all over
myself three times
in the session.
I'm glad that I shot
that fucking laser,
and I just proceeded
to run along the
course of the
activation.
You did, you did,
but you did do, you
actually did do a fair
amount of damage to
them, um, and
whilst they did save,
they are, they, they
have been damaged by
this.
You can tell that the
damage is pretty
effective.
Pretty neat.
as they all sort
of light up, and
all right.
Who's next?
Ruhua.
End your turn,
Ruhua.
Hold on, I had to
pop it, I had to
pop the turn owner
back out.
There we go.
Ruhua.
Ruhua.
Okay, Ruhua.
All right, I have
this guy all the way
back here.
Top left, on the
docks.
Yeah, on the docks,
up here.
Just gonna, one
sec, how far can
he go?
He is going to
run right at me.
Float up.
Um, you know, what's
the range on this?
Eh, not enough for
that.
See, I gave them such,
such reasonable range on
their abilities.
Fine.
I suppose what I'll do
is I'll just have him
draw a pistol and
shoot.
Let's see which one
of the, uh...
Why is the ghost
strapped?
Because he died,
loaded.
He's gonna shoot,
Baldrick.
Haven't you ever
listened to fucking
Wu-Tang, dude?
That's Ghostface
Killer.
Yeah.
We'll hit.
They're shooting me.
They're shooting you,
and then it'll float up
more.
And Baldrick, you'll
take 11 points of
rot damage.
That will be the end of
it as it kind of
spectrally floats up
towards the building.
You can see as it, uh,
like, moves by, the
ground continues to
sort of postulate with
this black ichor, uh, the
rot that is manifesting
by these creatures
being here.
And then that brings
us to the bottom of
the initiative, where
Tannhauser lives.
That's right.
I live here now.
Okay.
So, I have a pretty
good chance of
succeeding on a lore
understanding of these
guys.
But...
If you have a cultism
or, yeah, religion
are the two.
I've got a cultism.
However, I think for my
first turn, I'm actually
going to want to use
all three of my actions.
Uh, I fucking
love when you guys
don't use actions to
research things.
It's my favorite.
Okay.
Um, well, you'll see
why in just a moment.
I think this is an
economical use of my
things.
It's not easy for me
to say, but my range
is pretty piddly, too.
So, I think I'm going
to have to use reach
spell.
Ooh.
And then...
That is, that is very
much a tough thing for
you to make the choice
of using.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm liking it.
I'm liking it.
And I'm going to
cast my final sixth
ranked spell.
I'm going to cast a
sixth ranked slow.
And I'm going to
target, uh, everyone
except for this guy.
Except for which one?
Sorry.
This guy over here on
the pier is out of
range.
Yeah.
All of these guys here
are going to...
So, you should, if you
target them all and
cast the spell, I think
it...
Oh, no, you already
cast this spell.
Yeah.
I would say if you
target them all and
recast it, it might...
Good.
Let's see.
Yeah.
No, I can only
target one at a
time.
Oh, okay.
I guess it doesn't
count the height and
thing.
All right.
Well, uh, that's
okay.
I will start making
saves.
Uh, so let's do the
one in front of
Vena.
Uh, that's going to
be a fail.
I'll do these all
after.
So, fail.
Fail.
Fail.
Fail.
Fail.
Fail.
And...
One sec.
Fail.
Okay.
So, each one of
those is going to be
slowed for one
minute.
That's right.
Stan Houser utilizes
his singularity engine
to keep the flow of
time pressed against
these creatures.
I've started
with that approach.
It falls to you to
strike the killing
blow.
I will then end
my turn.
All right.
All right.
You're up.
So, what's
affecting this guy to
the north of me?
He's got slowed and
question mark.
What's on the
question mark exactly?
Thurston?
He's slowed.
It's just a new
effect that they have
in there to do some
mechanical stuff, it
looks like.
Oh, okay.
All right.
In that case, I'm
going to concoct a
new bomb that is not
physical base damage.
I'm going to create
an alchemist fire
greater.
At the cost of a
versatile bile.
And I'm going to
throw it.
draw and throw to the
guy north or
yeah, I'll aim for
the guy at the
north.
Okay.
And this is also a
oh, do I want to do
debilitating?
Sticky.
I'll do this time.
I'll do sticky as
he's already been
slowed of it.
Let's see what
this does.
That's a five on
the die for a
27.
That'll hit.
I don't don't pay
any mind that it
says debilitating.
I checked sticky,
but yeah, no,
you're good.
You're good.
All right.
Fire bomb.
Go.
That's a rousing
26 damage and
then the 10
slash.
Take a little
bit of that.
Still no good,
huh?
No.
That's all I
got.
I'm kind of
running short on
ideas here.
What's so
fucked up is that
I've had ghostly
weapon prepared
for like all
of our adventures
and I think I
just slotted it
out all the way
to the arena.
It's almost like
I read your
character sheets
sometimes and
I'm like, oh,
they often have
this on their
character sheets.
Then you change
it on the last
minute.
It's all right.
I'll just I'll
just I'll just
out damage it.
It's fine.
I'll just continue
to pump out huge
piles of damage.
Yeah, absolutely.
Hair up,
Lirsten.
I am.
Uh, all
right.
So this
one.
Hey, by the
way, I want to
address something
from the audience
real quick.
Guys, I don't
have moss bombs
anymore.
We didn't
restat them.
I don't have
that shit anymore.
Sorry, guys.
No more.
Don't you have
those?
You should have
those.
I don't believe I
have the thing.
I don't want to
do like moss
weapon.
Yeah.
Yeah, because we
didn't make a new
we didn't make a new
thing for it.
So I don't have
them anymore.
Um, one sec.
You should have
had them.
Bombs.
Moss bombs.
Ever since the
remaster, I don't
think we ever sat
down to me that
development of here's
moss bombs.
Here's what's
coded.
I mean, it's
literally like the
same item.
They haven't really
changed at all.
I don't have
it.
Yeah, and even
then it would have
been a lesser
moss bomb anyway
in this current
state.
Oh, yes, which I
just added.
You never
researched any of
them.
This is the
thing.
Yeah, because we
stopped fighting
rotten enemies.
Yeah.
Well, there you
go.
I gave it back to
you because you
did have it.
Thanks.
Alrighty.
1d6 damage
to my target.
Sometimes useful.
Alright, this one
is going to go.
The one that is
now flickery.
It's gonna float
up to here.
And then it's
gonna target and
shoot at
Tannhauser.
Do your worst.
I will.
I'll miss.
That was my worst
because that's I
only get two
actions.
Thanks for doing
your worst.
I do appreciate
it.
This one.
This one here
is gonna step
float this way.
The left of
Gorgamonger.
Yep.
It's gonna target
Gorgamonger and
try to slash a
Gorgamonger.
Gorgamonger.
Way.
Way.
Save him.
We'll miss.
Alright, Gorgamonger,
you're up.
Gorgamonger dabs.
Okay.
And let me see.
I know there was...
Ah, it's not letting me
scroll back up to the
spell effect of the
evil cube that I'm
currently in.
You don't know
what the evil cube
does.
Just because
Foundry has given
you metagame
knowledge of what
the cubes do
doesn't mean you
know what the
cubes do.
I have no idea.
So,
what do I see?
Like,
can I still see
the rest of the
battle that's
happening here,
or am I just
totally lost in
the sauce?
Oh, no.
You can see
what is going on,
except it looks
like fractal.
Like,
it's like you're
in a Doctor Strange
movie.
Like,
from your
perspective,
Gorgamonger and
this thing are
fighting like
sideways on top
of the,
like,
the ground that
is also a
building.
You can see
that Rahua
is like,
looks like an
old, like,
Windows 95
solitaire that's
been like layered
on top of each
other because
it's glitched
out.
That,
that kind of
stuff.
Oh.
Oh, I'm
having a really
normal day.
All right,
I'm going to
attempt to
make my way
over to where
Gorgamonger is
to try to
help out,
stumbling,
drunkenly in
that direction.
Neat.
Move yourself.
Okay.
So it would be,
like,
an attempt to
go here.
Roll me
1d3.
Okay.
One.
Cool.
You splash
into the water
as you exit this
fractal
dements and
step out from
one of the other
cubes of broken
reality and
fall into the
sort of salty
seawater.
Oh,
fuck.
Okay.
All right.
Oh, no.
Veda, you forgot
your family ring.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Yeah, Orin, I don't
know what happened to that.
Thank you.
Thank you, Zorin.
Thank you for
understanding the item
placement and the
importance of item
placement.
That's exactly what
you were doing.
That's why I ate it.
Can I have a
hero point?
No, Zorin gets
a hero point for
that.
Take another
hero point, Zorin.
Thanks, man.
I don't give enough
to you.
No problem.
All right.
Yeah.
For my second action,
I'm going to try to
get back to land.
You want to give me
an athletics check
to swim?
Yeah.
Cool.
I'm, uh,
this is the
now one part,
part of the water.
This is, this is
where this Ravina
starts drowning.
Say that to me.
It's worse than
being eaten by the
half.
The sky pirate
who drowned.
It's 30.
You can, uh,
you can move up
to, uh,
half of your
movement speed.
Uh, that's
45.
So that,
that's probably
just 20 in
increments of
five.
Five.
Ten.
Fifteen.
Twenty.
That's not quite
enough.
Third action,
I'm going to.
You're going to have to
give me another
athletics check to
swim.
Swim.
Yeah.
I'm getting.
See, now that I've
gotten close to shore,
this is,
this is where you can
roll the nat one
and drown close to
shore.
Oh yeah,
I hit your hat.
Oh.
Fuck.
Ah, well,
there we go.
There we go.
You can, you can
clamber onto shore.
Okay.
Yeah,
Vina,
sopping wet,
is going to get
back onto shore
and just,
what happened?
You,
I'm going to kick
your ass.
Okay.
Okay.
And that's going to
have to be my turn.
Yep.
Sodden.
That is your go.
All right.
Ending my turn.
The Sodden Sky Pirate.
Oh,
the Sodden Sky Pirate.
Bring me to this
one Sky Pirate here
who,
who,
who has all of
their actions
and they are going
to target you,
Vina.
Uh.
Oh.
And I need you to
make me a will save
as you clamber ashore
and one of these things
looks over at you.
It's disconcerting gaze
just like piercing you
as its head
cocks slightly
to look into you
in your mind.
Please don't put my ass
in the cube again.
Oh,
it's okay.
I'm not putting you
in the cube.
It's just confusion.
Okay.
Wait,
it's going to,
it's going to do that thing
that Luffy did once
to the corpse
trying to get out
of the ground.
He's going to put his hand
on your head
and push you back.
No.
It's going to be
what we in the business
call a fail.
I'm going to spend
a hero point
and I'm going to try
to re-roll that.
Go to water.
Go to water.
Yeah,
I turn around
and go back in the water.
Uh,
oh,
how is it
going to let me re-roll?
You think you're a fish?
Water.
It's water time for you.
You click the thing.
Oh,
here we go.
You see that button
down there?
Yeah.
Yeah,
I see it,
I see it.
Yeah.
Putting things
in new places now.
It's been there
for a while.
It's fucked up.
It's just,
people haven't noticed it
for a bit.
I haven't really taught
you guys how it is.
You guys are just
used to clicking
another button.
There you go,
now it's a 35.
that's a 35.
Good,
you're only stunned one.
Stunned one.
Babbling incoherently.
That's just my
regular roleplay,
baby.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's going to be
back, guys, go.
I'm dying of no
booze.
It's going to bring
us over to the
next one,
which conveniently
you've like
swam up
beside the
other one.
So
it looks
at you,
Veena.
Not again.
Its eyes
kind of
intensify
on you.
I'm just
going to cast
a spell.
The dazzle
does not
fail,
so it's good.
You can give me
another will save,
please.
Don't
try to scare you.
You're confused
and now it's
going to try to
scare you.
Nice.
You're going to be
frightened, too.
Oh,
scared.
You're not
running away,
but you're
frightened, too.
So it's going to
be like minus
two to like
all the things.
Yeah,
being around
Rot,
Veena's not
having a good
time.
She's
she's starting
to get a
little anxious.
It's going to
be that guy's
go or in
Europe as
these things
are just
like they're
just creepy
and the way
that they're
they're just
like the
bending reality
and staring at
you.
It's just
it's disconcerting
and unnerving
and all of
your like
amazing pirate
abilities,
Veena.
They're they
don't count for
dick against
these things.
I apologize.
I was reading
a thing
on how I
could get
rid of fear
and all
that because
there if I
was 30
feet to
Veena,
I would have
been able to
reaction it
away.
I have
advanced first
aid,
which I don't
know.
I don't think
that works
with battlefield
medicine.
That's always
been the confusing
part because I
think that's
for administer
first aid,
which is
not.
Not
battlefield
that is
not
bespoke.
That's for
fears that
stay on for
five million
years.
But Paragon
battlefield
battle
medicine.
Yes.
Well,
if I'm
legendary in
it,
which I'm
master,
can't do
that.
I'm like,
hmm,
how can I
help you?
Thank you.
I think I'm
just going to
have to be
scared.
So here's
my logic.
I can't say
anything about
a corporeal
creature because
I know what
it's about and
I don't want to
do that,
be that guy.
So I'm
trying not to
like,
everyone do
this.
I'll try,
with my
terrible
religion check,
I will still
try to recall
knowledge of
these things.
Got to get
information so
I can help
out the
team.
So if you
permit me to
roll a religion
check, Thurston,
Oren's going
to see what
he knows
about it.
Maybe he's
dealt with
spirits in
his past
before,
which of
course I
would like
to argue
like,
hey,
nature check,
maybe I've
dealt with
spirit animals
in the past
and have
dealt with
that before,
if you would
permit that.
But if not,
I'll still do
religion.
There aren't
many creatures
that are
specifically like
this in the
natural world.
Like,
spirits are
like a
different type
of thing
that are still
actually religion.
It gets
into some
weirdness,
I know,
but that's
how they're
qualified.
I know there's
like the
technical thing.
I'm just
making an
argument to
try to
get some
information
here.
Yeah,
I'm just
trying to
make sure
that the
people who
have skills
so that we
aren't like
every skill
can do
everything.
In this
case,
it's just
not
appropriate.
religion
that's an
18 on a
die for
a total
of 22.
Yeah,
that's enough
for you to
tell.
Okay,
so you've
had some
encounters
with
incorporeal
beings in
other capacities.
You know
that they
are
that they
not only
have like
strong
defenses,
so they
have a
resistance,
but that
resistance is
doubled against
non-magical
effects.
So the
only things
that typically
pierce this
type is
force damage,
spirit damage,
force spirit,
in this case
probably moss
because they
are weird
rot things,
and then
ghost touch.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's what you
would know about
these as far as
how they would
like operate
mechanically
speaking.
So you know
that they are
like weirdly
not corporal,
which is
strange.
You've never
seen like this
out of rot
creatures before,
but this just
shows how weird
the rot can get.
And I'm
definitely confident
these guys are
not undead in
any way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They're more
like aberrations.
Yeah.
Gotcha.
I wanted that
clear out so I
don't cast heal
or things on it.
I try to
relieve that to
the team of
like,
they're fucking
weird,
man.
And that's
going to be
my one action
to do that.
The next
action,
I'm trying to
see how best
to help
everybody here
because I
want to try
to start aiding
people here a
little bit more.
Oren's going to
spend one of
his other
actions to
pretty much
get in a
better position
for everybody
here.
So he's
going to move
30 feet this
way.
In fact,
he could
probably
now that's
going to be
fine there.
He's going to
do that.
And then the
one coming up
is going to
be Rahua,
which I need
to adjust
myself here
instead.
There we
go.
Then I'm
going to
point at
Rahua and
go like,
you can do
it Rahua.
Like,
just,
you know,
like,
like,
like,
most of our
weapons are
magical.
So,
like,
they'll still
resist it,
but at least
we'll hurt
them a little
bit.
And I'll
cast Guidance
on Rahua
for one
action.
That's my
final action
for that.
And then it's
Gorgamonger's
turn,
which he only
gets one
action.
Gorgamonger
cuts of the
handwrap thing
idle on,
so he's
magical.
So he'll
only get the
little resistance,
not the
double resistance.
And Gorgamonger
will do a
little,
little claw
attack.
And
crits.
He crits
on that
attack.
I will,
I will say,
I will say
just one
other thing
you would
know about
incorporeal
creatures.
They're
generally also
immune to
precision damage.
So you can
still roll the
crit,
but if it
seems really
low,
that's why.
A 4 and
a 2 for
total of
26.
It'll probably
absorb 10
of that.
Or 10.
10.
It takes
10.
Because the
magical,
so it only
gets the
10 resistance.
all right.
That's the
end of my
turn.
Cool.
All right.
Rahua,
you're up.
Oh boy,
it's me.
Hello.
It's your
boy Rahua.
It's me.
Who's going to
move up?
Going to move
to angle.
2,
3,
4.
I'm going to
flank this
creature.
I'm going
to seeing
that a bunch
of his
allies are
relatively
within the
vicinity and
it'll keep
them dead
or off if
they're closer
to him.
Who is going
to channel
some anarchic
energies like
a just
prepared
cast
Bane.
to explain
Bane,
it's the
opposite of
bless.
They take a
minus one
status penalty
to attack
rolls and
stuff like
that.
For the
bless,
you get a
plus one,
but it's
like an
aura thing
that lasts
for a
minute.
I mean,
I'm going
to take
the roll
that Hulky
made on
my
creature's
behalf,
which is
cool.
I didn't
see,
that's the
thing.
I didn't
even click
on it.
I just
did that
shit
automatically.
Nice.
I guess
it just
does it
automatically.
That's
neat.
Okay,
well.
Thank you
for
it.
Thank you
foundry.
Thank you
foundry.
It succeeds.
So cool.
Good to
know.
And
precision
damage.
That
wouldn't
happen to
be piercing
damage,
would it?
No.
Okay,
so to
clarify,
this came
up last
time too.
Precision
is literally
a type
of
damage.
It is
called
precision
damage and
it applies
to things
like rogue
sneak
attacks or
Venus
finishers,
things like
that.
Okay,
good to
know.
So with
the final
action then
with the
aura of
Bane up,
Rue is
going to
reel back
with his
mossy,
impactful
pick and
try his
best to
smack this
rot marine.
Yeah.
Target them.
Boom.
Boom.
Looks like
a hit.
It's
going to
hit.
Hit for
33.
Roll the
incredibly
low damage.
Leave.
Hey,
decent.
Yeah.
One sec.
That should
not.
One sec.
It's because
the weapon
doesn't have
the proper
thing on
it.
In fact,
it's going
to take
20 more
damage.
Oh,
it's going
to take
37.
Oh,
wow.
Okay.
Yeah.
Or sorry,
27.
Totally.
But yeah.
Because you
trigger a
weakness.
It's because
it's like
because there's
custom damage
types here.
Foundry
doesn't like
jive with
some of them
sometimes.
so that's
why it gave
it the
resistance,
which it
shouldn't
have.
And then
you smacked
it, which
removes the
resistance and
it has a
weakness.
So the
weakness kind
of overcomes
that.
Understood.
Good job.
Good job.
Yay.
Oh, I never
thought I could
punch a ghost
before.
That's pretty
cool.
Anyway.
Wow.
Say your
go,
Rua.
That's my
go.
All right.
That's going to
bring us up to
the guy over
here who is in
the north kind
of floating
through buildings.
He is going
to, or it
is going to
look around.
It's going to
look into the
eyes of one
Tanhauser and
try to confuse
you, Tanhauser.
Give me a
will save as it
does its sort
of cocked head
staring at you
to unnerve
you.
I have an
iron will!
Five on the
dice.
No!
That's a
25.
Well, that's
that's going
to be a
failure.
Yeah.
And I got
no hero
points.
You can ask
for a pity
point.
Can I get
a pity
point, please?
Please?
Would you
have to take
a complication?
That's the
rules.
Complication
thing up.
I've got
mine all
saved.
Also, for
this, because
eventually the
patrons will
see it,
multiple of
you have
told me that
for some
reason our
patron, the
complication
thing is
missing text.
I don't
know why
I thought
I fixed
it.
I'll get
that fixed
pretty soon.
All right.
All right.
I've got
this is a
funny.
I don't like
this.
I don't like
this.
Okay.
I will be
taking the
complication
from Armus
of, and
this.
Oh, no,
not the guy
who killed
Tasha Yar.
Okay.
It's true.
It's true.
The skin of
evil himself.
And I
am going
to go
ahead, and
this warms
my fourth
edition playing
hard.
I'm going
to use the
complication
chunky salsa.
Something
organic
explodes
violently,
making nearby
terrain slippery
and kind
of gross.
Oh, there's
a big rot
pile right
there.
Yeah.
Yeah, sure.
I'll take it.
That is, in
fact, kind of
gross.
That is kind
of gross.
Ooh,
lucky.
Yeah, so if
Thurston accepts
that, you can
then reload or
reroll with a
humor point.
Well, then I
shall reload.
Reload?
Yeah, I said
reload.
I fucked you
up.
Oh, you're
I'm it's all
over.
It's all over.
I'm going to
reroll it.
I got you
lower on the
dice.
You still
fail, too.
Oh, that's
cool.
It isn't
it didn't give
the plus 10
so that'd be
a 34, I
think.
Why didn't
it give
because it's
using a
different interface
and shit,
so.
Okay, well,
I mean, then,
yeah, at that
point, you just
can't really
fail, so.
Trying not to
be too
too
too
there you
go.
Oh, I'm
stunned.
Oh, my
God.
Why is that
black goop
everywhere?
Tenhouse is
slowly becoming
big D there.
Hey, you
remember we
gave Odo a
lot of shit
for being a
psyker and
like fucking
us all up
every time
she did
psychic powers?
This is how
that feels.
You're now the
psyker.
You're now
doing magic
shit and
fucking us
up.
I didn't do
shit.
I just
failed to
save.
You also
complicated.
All you
needed to
do.
That's it.
Let's go
Tannhauser,
you're up.
I hate
how slippery
and wet
this floor
is.
And because
I hate
it so
much,
I'd like
to know
a little
bit more
about these
creatures.
So I'm
going to
stare down
the one
that's
staring
me
down.
Oh,
wait,
no,
but I'm
stunned.
So you only
get two
actions,
yep.
So I only
get two
actions.
I'm not
doing that,
actually.
To help
you,
we've given
you a good
bit of the
information
already.
If you have
something that
does force
damage or
does something
that does
moss,
that's what
you're looking
for.
Magic can
help,
but it'll
still resist
it,
but it'll
only resist
it by a
little bit
besides the
double.
Yeah,
I don't
have that
much force
damage on
me.
So if you
had magic
missile,
you'd be a
god right
now.
Oh,
100%.
Instead,
I'm going
to cast
corrosive
muck.
And I'm
going to
put down
two.
Counter
goo.
Can I
alert you
of something?
Yes.
These things
fly,
just so
you're
aware.
I won't
be causing
corrosive.
Also,
it'd be very
funny because
you'd be
forcing me
to make
that check
too.
That is
true.
And yourself.
Baldrick,
catch!
Well,
I don't
think I'm
going to
succeed in
scaring the
ghosts.
Pardon me.
Bless you.
Bless you.
I've got
them pretty
destabilized
right now.
Oh,
and the
other really
cool thing I
can do for
Baldrick costs
three actions.
So,
I think
with all
of this
in mind,
I am
instead
going to
cast
If it's
three actions,
you can't do
it because
you're stunned.
Yeah,
that's the
kicker.
That's the
kicker,
ain't it?
Yeah,
now you
know how
it feels.
Go ahead.
Because
each one
of those
guys could
have cast
the cube
spell for
three actions.
I was going
to load
this fucking
map up
with cubes,
but you've
ruined that
for me.
And I'll
do it
again.
Oh,
yeah,
in that case,
I'm going to
cast fly on
myself.
Fuck this.
All right.
Later.
We actually
only targeted
so the fly
went on him.
Excellent.
Just like
click that,
drag spell
effect,
fly onto
your token
there.
I'll show
you.
Makes you
fly higher.
I got
you.
I take
the fly
effect.
Yeah,
drag spells
like fly
on the
chapter.
Yeah,
most of
my spells
are much
more useful
against
corporeal
entities.
All right,
that's
unfortunately
my turn.
Okay,
give me an
acrobatics check.
Sure thing,
boss.
Where's
my
acrobatics?
Acrobatics is
higher than my
athletics,
which means I'm
sure to succeed.
Five on the
dice.
23.
Cool,
you fall
prone.
Awesome.
As
the like
viscous
fluid around
you,
as you
complete your
spellcasting,
you manage
to stumble
and fall
down.
Yeah.
Epic
Tannhauser
falling down
noise.
Pass
start.
All right.
Okay.
All right.
Aldrich.
Yeah,
I know.
I'm gonna
target this
fella to
the left
of me
because if
I even
move,
I can't
if I move
one space,
I can't do
anything.
So I kind of
just have to
sit here and
get the
fuck beat
out of me,
I guess.
So I'll
quickly
whip up
a greater
acid flask
using one of
my versatile
vials
and I'm
gonna chuck
it at him.
Yeah.
And I'm
gonna make
sure that
one is also
sticky bomb
because that'll
be really
funny.
Let's
go.
Thurston,
I have a
question actually
before I do
anything absurd.
Yes.
So I have
the thing for
advanced vials
here,
right?
Okay.
It's got a
huge list of
things I can
pick from.
Would I
know inherently
what is
useful against
incorporeal
beings or
am I just
kind of
SOL for
that?
Well,
let's
check.
I,
I personally
don't know
off the top
of my head,
so I
would have
to do
some research.
I'm sure,
I'm sure
there's some
type of like,
there's a lot
of things I
could supposedly
infuse into
my vial here
and I'm,
I'm wagering
that just
straight,
straight like
silver
wouldn't apply.
Not here.
No.
Um,
you have
something that
does force?
That'd be the
kicker.
Oh,
no,
no,
no,
it's not,
it's not the
damage type.
It's I infuse
it with a
material from a
list of like
adamantine,
coal,
that stuff.
No,
no.
uh,
well,
actually,
um,
it's what I
want to make
sure about
because I
kind of got
this by
default.
Like,
I didn't
pick it,
it just
kind of got
added to
my thing
and I've
been trying
to justify
using it,
but I can't
seem to find
anything.
I am going
to guess
that there is
probably
some substance
that exists
in some
alternate book
that I am
unaware of
off the top
of my head
that is like
a thing
that would
count your
weapon as
being ghost
touchy,
but I just
don't know
what that
would be.
Yeah,
some weird
book.
Yeah,
if only
existed.
Devils and
werecreatures.
Greetings for
nerds anyway.
Yeah.
There's a lot
of them I
have to check,
so.
Yeah,
sorry,
I just,
I do not
know.
No,
it's okay,
it's okay.
I'm gonna,
I'm gonna ask,
I'm gonna ask
Google real quick
if Aura Halcom
does it.
I think it's
any bricks,
maybe.
but I,
Aura Halcom
won't help,
that'll just
make my grenade
unbreakable.
Well,
the real question
is do you have
to have that
material on you
to make it
happen or
do you just
somehow?
That's the part
I'm perplexed
by.
I don't know
why it's
giving me this
drop down
if it's like,
do you have
it on you?
I was like,
I don't know
who the fuck
I'm gonna buy
Aura Halcom
from at this
hour.
Yeah,
because if you
don't have it,
I'll be able to do it.
Okay,
so there's a
fourth level
oil,
but again,
that's a magic
and not an
alchemical,
so it's not even.
Whatever,
I'm gonna throw
acid flask greater
because whatever.
That's a critical
shit.
There you go.
Might be able to
overpower some
resistance.
Hopefully.
Well,
we'll see
because the
acid flask big
thing is the
dot.
It's the
persistence.
Yeah.
Roll the crit.
Oh boy,
12.
Yeah,
that,
but it'll
instead take
3d6 plus
10 times
two persistent
damage,
which is still
nice.
It's very
nice.
Yeah,
and it
doesn't take
any damage
from it,
but the
persistence
does.
Hopefully.
As the acid
bubbles on
the ghost.
Right,
that is
going to
bring me
to
this one
over here,
which you
just hit.
It is
going to
use its
one attempt
to try
and
sure
strike
and
shoot.
So it
will
unerringly
aim,
raise its
pistol,
and attempt
to shoot
you,
Baldrick.
Oh.
It does
get to
roll twice,
so I
will
reroll
that.
That's
I will
miss again.
Never mind.
Great turn
for an
acid.
He can't
see.
Yeah,
exactly.
The other
one here
is...
He would
have taken
50 damage
normally.
That's so
cool.
Yes.
Yes.
Correct.
Oh,
of course.
And he
succeeds.
I like the
little cheery
sound it
makes when
it goes
away and
I make
a
big
fights
against
enemies
that take
no damage.
I love
being a
non-caster.
Kill me.
Yeah.
Dead.
And remember,
chat,
just because
it's incorporeal
doesn't mean
it's dead.
Yeah.
It's not a
ghost or an
un-dead.
This thing is
not undead.
It's a
different type
of incorporeality.
It's phased
out.
It's just
some kind
of creature.
It's a
creature.
But spirit
damage does
hit it,
which is one
of those
weird instances
where spirit
damage is
really good
versus like
vitality,
which is why
Hulkie's thing
was actually
pretty decent
against it.
Okay,
the one
that's in
combat is
first of
all gonna
float over
to here,
I think.
that will
end up
actually,
it's gonna
float to
there.
I think
that ends
up provoking
does
Gorgamunger
have
I will
double check
as you know,
blame all the
little summoners.
Because if he
has reactive
strike,
then maybe
the other
guy didn't
have reactive
my god.
One of them
has reactive
strike,
I'm sure.
I knew
they were
reactionaries.
They are.
you had to
deal with
that.
Have a
hero point.
Fuck off,
thanks.
Oh,
dear me.
You know
what,
Thurston?
That was
really nice
of you to
do for
Erndl.
I think
you were
hanging
with that.
Get a
villain point.
Yes,
I'm full!
Yes!
He does
have a
villain
opportunities.
I have to
check an
orange sheet
on Gorgamunger.
He will do
a little
munch munch.
A little
munch munch?
The munch
that files
back.
He still
hits on a
four.
Jeez!
He does.
I don't think
these are very
fast rot
monsters.
It's almost
like they
aren't that
much of a
threat,
but you
totally don't
have all the
necessary tools.
13 damage.
Hit him
with a
27 or
13 damage.
He only
takes three
damage out
of that,
but it's
still a hit.
It is.
It is.
It is.
It's going
to move
there,
and then
after he
finishes
moving to
there,
it will
attempt to
attack
Gorgamunger
with a
slash.
Hit
with its
slash,
and it
will do
let's
see here.
rot
damage
to
Gorgamunger.
Yeah!
Right!
And that
is,
it goes
to sort
of move
around the
sphere of
battle.
Vina,
you've come
out of the
water,
you are
stunned,
wondered,
frightened
to,
what would
you like
to do
with one
of these
things
staring
down
at you?
They
call me
status
effects,
George.
Really?
Statistical
outlier.
I had
some
people
call you
the
space
cowboy.
Why's
that?
I don't
know,
they just
call you
that,
expecting
to know?
Yeah.
Damn.
You think
I know
why people
call me?
Ah!
Ah!
Ah!
Never ask.
Never tell.
I think
I have a
hypothesis
on why
they might
call you
that.
Hey,
Hulky?
Yeah?
Who is
dead?
Thanks.
Okay.
Okay,
you're
welcome.
I got
him.
All right,
Vina.
Ladies and
gentlemen.
Thank you.
Thank you.
We can't
say he's
in a
better
place,
but at
least we
know
he's
not
in a
worse
place.
Because
heaven
is
alive.
He goes
to the
great
blender
in the
sky.
Jesus
Christ.
I remember
when you
handed me
that
lore sheet,
like,
oh,
it's a
space
blender,
right?
Yeah,
it is.
It is.
All right,
I'm going
to be so
scared about
it,
but I'm
going to,
for my
first of
two actions,
I'm going
to tumble
through.
Yeah,
you're going
to do
great.
I'm
going to
do
great.
See?
That was
actually
pretty
okay.
That's
a
critical
success.
Yeah,
of course.
I'm
even being
a little
scared.
You're
still good.
You're
still good.
I'm
a little
scared,
but I
remember
how to
tumble.
Always
know how
to backflip.
Since
these things are
in
corporeal,
do you
just walk
through it?
Yeah.
Yeah,
it's really
anti-climactic.
You walk
through and
do,
like,
the
stupidest
twirl
jump ever,
like,
I don't
have no
spells.
I don't
really have
any things
that will
help me
deal with
spooky
not-ghosts,
so I'm
just going
to have to
hit him
with my
sword and
hope for
the best.
Yeah.
I could
try to,
like,
I don't
know,
demoralize
him or
something,
but I've
never been
to keep
down in
action,
so.
Exactly.
I'm just
going to
hit him
and see
if I
can
plink
off a
couple
of
points
of
damage.
Yeah,
do it.
Boom.
I,
I,
I,
Hey,
Odo.
Hey,
Odo.
Oh,
God.
Hey,
Odo.
Do you have
a reactive
strike for
me?
Is this
the one?
No,
no,
no,
this is
a complication.
Oh,
yeah.
Definitely a
complication.
Let me
pull up
my
complication.
Complication,
complication.
I have
it.
Oh,
my God.
I have it
saved on my
actual computer,
not this stupid
laptop.
Can you link me
the complication
again?
It is linked
in the pinned
comments and
in the
checklist chat.
Checklist chat.
I'm really off my
game.
And I'll tell you
what it is
again.
I'm going to
get the
complication
in
room.
Thank you.
Oh,
here we go.
Here's,
here's a perfect
one.
She has the
complication.
Sing it.
Yeah.
Anyway,
this one
is a complication
from Yala
called
Saving Face.
What is the
complication?
You still look
cool even if you
missed that attack
roll,
but you whipped
your head
dramatically and
something obstructed
your vision,
causing you pain.
Prompts,
headgear,
clothing,
accessories,
hair,
or an
environmental
element.
So I would
say it's
probably
thematically
the hat.
The hat has
for the first
time in the
entire game
obstructed my
vision and
betrayed me.
The hat knew
you're going to
replace it with
something else,
so it's mad.
Exactly.
The hat
is caught
in the wind
and flies
into the
non-Euclidean
geometry.
No!
They send
my hat
to fucking
Escherworld.
Let me find
out you're
bald.
Yo!
Skelly!
Skelly!
If you're
listening,
we're going to
need an
updated art
piece.
Just,
you know,
no big
butts.
No hat
and the,
like,
monk
tonsure.
Yeah.
Hey,
I was kind
of hoping
for a more
monastery
take on
Vina.
this is
the part
of the
story
where the
campaign
goes on
old for
three years
and she
joins a
convent.
Really needed
to justify
taking that
monk archetype
so they
could flurry
away.
Anyway,
yeah,
the hat
flies off
into the
evil cube
and no
longer do
I have
panache.
I don't
even think
I get the
precision damage.
Not that
it would
matter.
So,
yeah,
I tumble
through.
Do I
have a
hero point?
You don't.
Oh,
you don't.
Yeah,
get,
do you,
do you want
to double
down with
a pity
point?
Complications,
Thurston.
I know,
you could take
a second
complication
to reroll.
I'm not
going to,
I'm not
going to
take a
second
complication.
Why?
Why?
Don't you,
don't you want
our patrons
to get their
money worth?
Why do you
hate our patrons?
Yes,
of course.
Listen,
Thurston,
I'm going to
natural one
again.
You know
me.
Look at me
in the eyes.
You know
me.
I'm going to
natural one
again.
Then you'll
go through
all three
of your
complications
for the
session.
Don't you
like our
patrons?
Don't you
want their
complications
to be
read on
this show?
Yeah,
look at
them.
Look at
them with
their
beautiful
big,
wet eyes.
What the
fuck
kind of
human being
are you?
So bigly
wetly.
but like
if I
reroll,
even if I
got like a
crit,
I do like
three points
of damage.
Yeah,
and you'd
make whatever
complication
you generate
from this,
you'd make
that human
being so
happy.
What's more
important to
you?
God,
so selfish.
You're right.
How can I
do this?
Yeah,
you're
pretty serious
batement
particles right
now.
This is the
reverse of like
Thirsty can
never deny
them a pity
point.
Fuck you
assholes.
This is me
coming in
reverse.
This is
psychological
warfare.
All right,
guys,
we've had our
fun,
but I think
it's time to
begin the
real game.
Everyone roll
up Shadow
Run characters.
Okay.
Okay,
let's
I thought
the next
show was
fatal.
We're not
talking about
fatal in this
house.
Wait a second.
Hulky,
you have one
hero point,
you lose it.
fuck you.
I'm not
taking this
away.
No,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no,
no.
I wasn't
done.
I wasn't
done.
Hulky,
you lose the
hero point
and speaker
gets it.
Yay.
There we go.
I'm okay.
All right.
That's fair.
That's fair.
But that does
cost a villain
point in order
to do.
Okay,
that's fine.
I'll keep
two villain
points.
Yeah,
okay.
I'm going to
start spitting
blood.
Ghosts are
attacking.
So Vina,
Vina,
are you,
are you,
are you going
to,
are you going
to just,
just move
on?
Is that it?
Is that
what you've
decided?
I'm going to
move on.
I love you
patrons for
your sake,
as well as
all of ours.
I'm ending
my turn.
Okay.
Well,
some,
it's going to
move me to
this little man
on the docks
down here.
Yeah,
southern docks.
Sorry,
I'm trying to
keep that
podcast listeners.
Forget about
that guy.
No,
you're good.
You're good.
Um,
well,
it's fine.
So I'm
going to
float up to
here.
He's the
not slowed
one.
Oh,
but at the end
of your turn,
you're going to
lose one of
that frightened
condition.
That's pretty
dope.
I'm going to
cast fear on
you again.
Why?
Please give me
another will
save.
Hostile.
Be alone.
Great.
That's a
two.
Fine.
Might I have
a pity point
to take a
wonderful complication
from our
beautiful patrons?
I cast
blessed denial.
An ally
within 30 feet
will become
frightened or
whatever.
You exude
peace and
protection,
lessening a
harmful condition
as it falls
upon an ally.
Reduce the value
of the condition
your ally
would take
by one
to a minimum
of zero.
The ally
takes more
than one
condition
at the same
time.
Choose one
to reduce.
Orin,
my bestie.
Orin goes
cool.
You're still
frightened one.
That'll just
remain for
an extra round.
All right.
Thanks,
bud.
So it doesn't
stack up.
The vibes are
better.
It's like
you're
it's like
your crew's
with you,
Captain
Vina.
We're not
going to
let you
fall down.
She turns
with like
a sodden
thumbs up,
just drenched.
Oh,
that's my
reaction.
Looking
terrible.
All righty.
That's
going to be
its go,
so that's
going to
bring me
to the
next one,
which will
target you,
Vina.
Okay.
And
it is
going to
try to
confuse
you.
There's
did it's
going to
succeed.
Please give
me a will
safe.
There's
dead.
Yes,
you're
dead.
20.
I'm
God
among
men.
There you
go.
Very good.
Very good.
It's
you're just
so tired.
Vina's
Vina's just
so tired of
these things
like spooky
staring at
her that
it's like
just it's
not even
like willpower
at this
point.
it's
just
I'm
done.
I'm
done.
What are
you looking
at?
Good
fuck out
here,
dog.
Don't
knock you
anymore.
Ow.
Drink
whiskey.
I got a
huge wave
of deja vu
for some
reason.
I don't
know.
Maybe I
lived this
time already.
Ah,
you two
went into
the cube
and came
out a
different
time.
everyone's
basically
fine.
They're
just kind
of like
inconvenienced.
I know.
Completely
arbitrary
reasons.
Everybody
doing okay?
I'm like
doing all
this like
some healing
stuff and
I'm like
yeah,
I guess
it's here.
I guess
I'll summon
a tree.
I cast
tree of
seasons.
Basically
what this
does.
Oh,
it's been
a while.
Oh boy.
Oh,
this is
not that
tree.
That's
protector
tree.
But we
can do
the same
tree.
He's
now grown
up to
actually
be a
tree that
does
some
stuff.
Oh boy,
everybody,
I can
help you
throw some
seeds.
None of
them do
forest damage
unfortunately.
But what
this does,
you cause
a small
tree to
easily sprout
in unoccupied
space on
the ground.
I'll do
it to my
left.
Four seed
pods grow
from the
tree,
each filled
with the
magic of
different one
of four
seasons.
A creature
can interact
to pluck
one of
the pods
and can
then either
throw it
up to 30
feet as part
of the
same action
or do
so with a
separate
interaction
later.
When thrown
the pod
explodes at
a five
foot burst
dealing 66
damage with
a basic
reflex save
against the
spell DC.
the damage
type depends
on the
season of
the pod
like
electricity,
fire,
poison,
cold for
the seasons.
I'm going to
spell ends,
the tree
withers away
and any
remaining
seed pods
rot away
and leave
just a
non-magical
seed.
So he
casts that
pretty much
over to
his left.
Hi there!
And I
will pick
my poison
really.
It's like
because all
of it's
basically just
elemental
you know
kind of
magically
kind of
damage.
So I'm
just going
to do
fun for
electricity
and I'm
basically
going to
five foot
burst
onto
who's
the weakest
right now?
Just this
guy in front
of us.
Get this
guy pretty
much to the
bottom right
of or near
this house
here on the
east side
because he
uses his
last action
to pluck
and throw
as according
to the
spell
definition.
So he
goes ha!
So he
needs to
make me
a 30
reflex
save and
if not
he will
take
electricity
which I'll
roll that
for you
just so you
can have
it there
already.
He succeeds
with a 30
I only rolled
15 and he
takes no
damage.
He exceeded
just a little
bit though.
The electricity
like zips
through but
doesn't seem
to connect
with the
spiritual form
of this
entity.
It's okay
I'll get you
next time
it's a
setup.
And in
my turn
I'll wait
Gorgomero
go and
he'll just
bite him.
There we
go.
He crits.
Oh my
god.
If I
see the
guy that
I did
the thing
on he
basically
40 total.
Crit damage
not a lot
of maze
and crit
only 22
so he'll
take
I think.
I love
the cut
in from
Gorgomonger
that's him
laying there
peacefully.
He's having
a good time
he's a good
boy.
He looks
like a
cat
just saying
that
Gorgomonger
crits.
All right
that's
going to
bring it
back to
me.
The one
up by
by team
Baldrick.
All right.
Oh shit.
Thurston
you got to
put me below
Orin again
because I'm
not actually
dead.
because I
reset my
initiative
because I
dropped
myself to
zero.
Oh.
Oh.
Well.
Yeah.
Fair enough.
All right.
Go.
Sorry about
that partner.
I'm not really
dead.
I thought I
was.
You told me
I died but
you didn't
object to me
coming back
to life
either.
Yeah.
He committed
to the bit.
Isn't that
what it's
really all
about?
Why is
Tanhazard
prone?
Please clap
because I
tripped in
the complication.
Gotcha.
Gotcha.
Okay.
It's your
turn.
Sorry I
interrupted.
Yeah.
I think
you got
this zombie
over here.
I'm going
down here
and
shoot that
Gator.
I'm going
to shoot
that Gator.
I'm going
to shoot
him real
good.
How are you
feeling about
that Rod
Tommy up
on you
right now?
I'm going
to make
a name
for myself.
I'm about
to make
a tree
for myself.
Sorry about
that Vina.
I was just
infested by
visions of
the deep
south.
The Cajun
Spira.
That's okay.
It does
flood.
I should
know.
I just
misinterpreted
that as
the Cajun
Spira and
all I could
think of
was Final
Fantasy 10
with nothing
but Cajun
accents.
Didn't
Spira get
destroyed by
Sin or
was that?
Oh yeah.
So it did
emulate
hurricanes.
That's
fucking funny.
Katrina,
Rita,
and every
other
hurricane.
Fuck you.
Katrina,
Rita,
and Santa
Maria.
Inject.
Who
knows?
Hurricane
Inject.
Guys,
I'm the
one who's
drinking here.
What the
fuck are
you guys
doing?
Hurricane
Waka.
I feel
like I
need to
take a
shot.
There's
like a
bottle of
Jim
Beam
off to
my
right
that's
whispering
to me
like the
fucking
green
gobble
mask.
Oh,
Bo
Ro
She
I mean,
hi.
Ruhua.
Ruhua is
going to
move up
to this
rot
marine
down
here.
One
failed.
Yeah.
And it's
the one
fails.
We haven't
killed one
of these
fuckers
yet.
Nope.
We never
will.
As soon
as you
got
close,
Hulky
was like,
don't
worry,
you're
good,
and then
walked
away
from
it.
Don't
worry,
buddy,
you're
okay.
Don't
worry,
Veena.
Now it
has minus
one status
penalty.
I
forgot.
All
right.
So
Ruhua is
just
going to
walk up
to the
zombie
like,
hey,
oh,
man,
you're
you might
want to
check your
boots for
warfroaches
later.
It's
face
undulates
at you.
I'll
get to
you in
a second,
bitch.
Poor
backhand's
the creature.
Ooh,
I'll hit.
Cancel 29.
Let
damage.
That
many.
20.
Okay.
It'll
take 30
points from
that.
That's
pretty funny.
I'm going
to hit it
again.
Mad minus
five.
Oh,
missed.
No,
you hit.
Oh,
no,
no,
no,
no.
By
that
sound,
you would
think that
it would
have.
Yeah,
I know.
I know.
Hulky,
hulky,
hulky,
hulky.
Yeah,
I mean,
yeah,
I could
take some
pity on
you here
if you
want.
Could
take some
pity on
me,
and I
do love,
as it's
well known,
I love
suffering for
the enjoyment
of you.
You're
going to
help one
of those
patrons out,
right?
I think
I am.
Oh,
hold on.
It wants me
to switch to
my different
account,
because it
signed me
out of all
my fucking
things.
I love
updating my
computer.
It's great.
It's so
good.
I'm
looking for
Linux.
That's
true.
Fuck
Windows.
It's
true.
I hate
Microsoft.
I have
a fuck
Bill Gates
tattoo across
my chest.
Many
people are
saying this.
Thousands.
Yeah.
Looking
for
appropriate
complications.
Only
thousands.
Only
thousands.
But man,
they're
dedicated
thousands.
Oh,
yeah.
That they
are.
That they
are.
Oh,
all right.
All right.
I've got
I've got
one.
Oh,
this is a
complication.
If you're
willing,
I will
take a
pity
point,
but I
have one
lined
up.
Okay.
I'll give
it.
What's the
complication?
Complication
is from
Korra.
Complication's
called,
are we the
bad guys?
A sudden
moral dilemma
invades the
PC's mind
as they
reflect upon
their actions
and their
consequences
up to this
point.
The PC
has to
succeed
a will
saver,
become
stuck in
their
dilemma,
tuning out
the world
around them
or immobilizing
them.
I'll allow
this.
All right.
you have
okay.
I have the
most monstrous
thing.
I'm not
going to do
it,
but I was
just like,
I had this
brief moment
of like,
yeah,
you know what?
That's a
really good
complication.
Vina,
give me a
will.
You know
what?
No,
no.
Today has
been a
fucking trial.
You know,
it's the
hero point
and Vina
gets in
trouble.
Yeah,
you know
what?
You know
what?
That normally
wouldn't be
the case,
except I'm
going to spend
one of my
two villain
points to
narratively
declare it
is the
case.
Vina,
give me
a will
save.
Come on.
Everybody
bully the
captain.
This is
happening.
Oh,
fuck you,
no.
I'm
going to.
Narrative
declaration
has slowly
become less
of a TTR
RPG and
more of
a frat
haze
over time.
In
every boy's
life,
there's a
summer of
72.
Hello,
podcast
listeners.
You don't
need to know
what that
role was.
You don't
need to
know.
You already
know what
it is.
All right,
you got
another
complication
lined up
there.
Oh,
Roshi,
I just
don't know.
Oh,
wow.
Speaker,
you're
absolutely
right that
this does
chain.
Tannhauser,
give yourself
another hero
point.
You deserve
it for
helping me
out.
Thank you
so much.
You too
can submit
your complications
at
patreon.com
forward slash
narrative
declaration where
you too
can make
us suffer.
Oh,
good.
Here's one
of my
saved ones
that's very
relevant to
the situation
at hand.
This one's
from Hero
Cookie and
it's called
Oh God,
The Memory.
A memory of
a particularly
embarrassing,
cringy,
mortifying or
distressing
event and
the character's
past suddenly
resurfaces to
haunt them
once more.
I would like
to think that
Vita thinks
to about
how long
was the
combat round?
Six seconds.
Yeah,
about six
seconds ago.
Can I give
something a bit
more narrative
given the
like the
depth of
like will
crushing
like like
what's going
on?
Are we
the baddies
like thing
that came
from the
U.S.?
Now I'm
scared.
Hit me
with it.
Give me
the psychological
warfare.
I think you
spend some
time thinking
about Picktern
Squelchfoot
here at this
coast.
I was
thinking
the same
thing.
Hero's
memories of
Picktern
fucking
inadvertently
form an
aura of
suffering
and regret.
Which just
like translates
into the
captain who's
lost her
hat.
It's fine.
He was dead
when we
found him.
That's a
great point
and not
re-roll
my attack.
So after
all that
you can
complete
your attack
with the
re-roll.
Yeah.
We just
gave him
the whole
edge
to
re-roll.
He has
a roll
a one.
That doesn't
complicate.
He already
has complication.
He can
move on.
This is
Zoran
literally being
the like
stop.
He's
already
dead.
I'm like
I think
it'd be a
real shit
move to
be like
hey you
took a
complication
to re-roll
now you
rolled a
natural
one and
get one.
Go fuck
yourself.
I don't
think it's
fair for
them.
It's
funny.
It's
really
funny.
But I
don't want
to force
that on
them.
It would
have been
a natural
one.
Did I
roll a
two before
on the
tie?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes.
So does
it hit on
a 27?
Or is it
28?
Oh yeah.
For some
reason the
bus didn't
go through.
It didn't
add to
plus 10.
Oh wait
no it's
a map
minus 5 so
it would
be.
It would
not.
Not with
a map
minus 5.
No.
No actually
wait.
What?
Plus 10.
Technically that
hits.
Yes.
Okay.
I'll take
it.
Yeah.
Fine.
I think there's
some weird rule
I'm forgetting
about like
one always
one lower
but don't
worry about
it.
Just just
I'll give
you the
damage at
this point.
You need
all the
help you
can get
clearly.
I appreciate
that.
Get a
villain point.
Thanks.
Appreciate it.
Oh good
god.
Are you
that many?
19?
It's been
where who
has turned
for 10
minutes.
I'm going
to lose
my turn.
Hey
normally
it's me
deciding
what to
do.
Yeah no
you're just
prolonging it
by continuing
to give
thirst and
power.
It's another
29 points
damage to
this thing.
It's the
most single
damage that's
been done to
one of these
things in a
turn.
I'm going to
map minus
10 as well.
Don't remind
me.
No you
didn't you
oh you're
hasted that's
right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah man
minus 10.
It couldn't
possibly hit.
Obviously
not.
No.
Now if you
take the pity
point.
Move on.
Moving on.
I would
like I
would like to
do something
please.
Go.
I'll pass it.
I'll pass the
football.
Okay.
The one to
the far
extreme north
is going to
cast a
sure strike
and that's
their turn.
All right
Tanhauser
you're up.
Sure he can
do that.
He can.
I didn't know
I didn't
from the
persistent
fire and
the persistent
fire disappears.
Okay.
Tanhauser.
Am I still
stunned?
No you
should not
be.
No you're
not.
All right.
I am not
going to even
spend an action
getting up off
of the horrible
sticky sloppy
ugly gross
gross ground.
instead I'm
simply going
to reach out
and summon a
cloud of
flammable black
dust and
cast
incendiary
fog.
And I'm
going to put
that
right here.
Maybe over
one square?
Or does that
not get
Baldrick?
It does get
Baldrick.
Okay.
Killed me.
I mean I
could end
this.
All right.
So I
place this
here and
then I
go to
call out
to
Baldrick.
Baldrick
that's
flammable.
Throw
something on
fire.
All right
then you
got it
man.
All right
and then I'm
going to end
my turn
because that's
three actions.
Wizard.
Okay.
Baldrick.
I'm going
to make an
ice bomb.
I'm going
to kill
you.
Everyone's
been doing
bits.
Give me
one five
second bit
to say
I'm making
an ice
bomb.
Not
allowed.
Give me
a bomb.
I use
a versatile
vial to
make.
That's the
fifth level
spell.
Fire
bomb.
my target
this
which prick
I don't
care you
it doesn't
matter you
both suck
I'm going
to try to
kill you
strike fire
bomb
sticky bomb
oh there
we go it's
a good thing
I have
those.
Oh my
god.
What is
happening?
Are we
good guys?
Hey
hey
hey
chat guy
chat guy
who does
stats for
our show
come into
my office
with me
we need
to sit
down
and talk
no
not the
office
all right
hey
Erndel
how you
doing
I'm
rolling
that
with a
hero point
love
and I'm
taking
I'm
keeping
I'm
trying to
keep my
turn
concise
no one
get involved
okay
I take
the complication
from
errant
gamer
clang
thank you
errant
gamer
my attempt
to go
unnoticed
has been
thwarted
I bump
up against
a lead
pipe
and there
are
everyone's
attention
they may
now focus
me
Thurston
I am
the
target
of their
ire
I'm
going
to
reroll
this
and try
to
throw
my
grenade
okay
reroll
with a
hero
point
that's
a critical
hit
yay
it's gonna
crit
I'm going
to blow
you up
with my
powerful
weapon
okay
that's
really good
for 54
what does
he take
what does
he take
damage
from that
then
the thing
explodes
so
per speaker
spell
I have to
make
reflex
saves
for both
I'll start
with the
wounded
one
now
you've
activated
our
trap
card
he'll
fail
I will
do
the
other
one
that
one
will
succeed
speaker
you can
click
the
roll
damage
button
yay
la
la
la
alrighty
then
everyone
take
fire
damage
that was
kind
of
low
no
yeah
one
on the
bottom
will
take
and the
other
one
will
take
poor
damage
for
a
pith
rank
spell
I
caramba
incorporeal
creatures
are mean
alright
oh boy
well guys
that was
your first
ball
right
balderick
yay
thurston
thurston
i got bad
news for
you
that's
my
only
thing
i
can
do
oh
okay
don't
worry
don't
worry
guys
i got
a bunch
of
great
spells
for
this
i
got
wall
of
stone
and
corrosive
muck
i've
been
waiting
for
you
actually
the
castle
wall
spell
and
have
thirst
and
go
oh
they
go
through
it
yeah
i know
they can
just
go
through
it
i've
got
fear
and
gravity
well
and
things
to
fuck
with
their
positioning
which
doesn't
fucking
matter
hey
hey
speaker
can i
suggest
a
spell
that
you
might
just
want
to
have
in
your
repertoire
in
case
it
ever
comes
up
yes
ghost
i
shut
up
don't
even
talk
to
me
don't
even
finish
the
bit
i
don't
even
actually
want to
hear it
out of your mouth
now make
these laborious
ghosts do their
six damage
apiece to us
and let us
continue on our
merry way
it's
it's gonna
float up to
you with one
of its
two actions
because you
slowed
it
how
how
far
off
thurston
thurston
as i
recall
very
attracted
to baldrick
because he
made a
loud noise
no you're
right you're
right you're
right you're
right you're
right
i'm gonna
i'm tanking for
you tank
hauser
i'll miss that's the
end of that
one's turn
oh
they don't
go
oh wait
wait wait
wait wait
wait
wait
it's gonna
take
26 fire
damage
so it
takes
six fire
damage
oh my
fucking god
wait wait
wait wait
wait
i'm just
taking a
screenshot of
this because
it's art
it's gonna
go in our
general chat
this is art
i love this
game i love
playing games
with you guys
um
we'll see if
it makes his
recovery check
oh it doesn't
it's still on
fire um
oh my god
that's all
the screenshot
here is gonna
float on up
no it's gonna
target baldrick
it's gonna
try to slash
you
fucking bring
it
it's gonna
it's gonna
miss
oh he's
agile
okay
captain
vena
you're up
okay
you're now
frightened
one
oh only
frightened
one
well
truly
truly
they will
never be
able to
stop me
thirst and
i have a
question
what was
this encounter
supposed to
showcase that
we can't
hurt incorporeal
things
just what
incorporeal
things can
do
just what
incorporeal
things can
do
right
okay
that they
exist and
if i were to
ever say
throw an
incorporeal
boss at
you having
some things
in your
back back
pocket like
some oils
and shit
might be
useful i
mean i
never throw
an incorporeal
boss at
us right
i do
never do
think it
is funny i
mean because
the thing that
i replaced
ghostly weapon
with i don't
think i've
even fucking
ever used
so it's
like all
of my first
and second
level spells
i like never
use them
because by the
time it gets
to the point
like i've got
revealing light
in case they're
invisible
i don't
really need
laughing fit
because i
already have
enough crowd
you would be
prepared if you
knew what you
were going up
against if you
could batman
more that's what
a wizard is if
you could batman
that's true that's
true that's true
next time i'll
replace a magnetic
attraction and
uh we'll see
what we do
all right
first first
action i'm gonna
i'm gonna tumble
through this guy
and i'm gonna
back up my
good friend
rahula
okay do it
on the edge
of the cliff
absolutely
yeah i'm
doing it with
style
look over at
my mom
hope she didn't
see any of the
other lame shit
oh your mom
can't see you
we're so far
away
she's not
here
but you're all
there
that's a 27
it fails
you're gonna
stop right
there
well at least
i still get
panache
bless you
oh wait why
is it a failure
you gain panache
until the end of
your next turn
sorry i don't
know why unless
you have something
that gives that
to you but
i i didn't think
i did
get panache
pity panache
don't question
i
i didn't think
i got
it doesn't
really matter
because all it
gives you is
precision damage
that doesn't
hurt these
things so
sure
well i wanted
him to be
off guard
yeah well
fuck you
gag gag gag
gag gag gag
gag
i'm gonna
hit him
with my
second
action
and
he's not
feeling so
good
so we'll see
if this
slinks off
anything
okay i
crit
i crit
him
and we'll
see if that
actually does
any damage
it'll at least
put a little
bit of cold
on him
get chili
hi welcome to
chilis
how much damage
did you do
uh 74
before all of
his funny
resistances
that will
destroy this
one finally
ta-da
yay
first blood
first blood
we got
really
blood
uh the
the
the being
dissipates
as your
your blade
finally
strikes
true
uh
dispersing
it
yeah
veena's
veena's
trying not
to get hit
by this
rot
splashback
but uh
we'll dispatch
it with a
flourish
and then is
gonna turn
to this
guy
and is
going to
i'm gonna
hit him
with a
faint
to put
make him
off guard
and see
if i can't
farm more
panache
uh
just kind
of give
him a little
oh i'm
gonna get
you
yeah
there's my
faint action
uh i'm
targeting him
right yes i
am
roll
oh she's
so slow
oh not
bad a
critical
success
let's
do it
yay
so
that is
for a year
ago
yes indeed
i will make
a quick
fake
fake him
out a
little bit
and open
him up
for my
good friend
rahua
to cave
his skull
in
what's left
of it
anyway
all right
that will
bring us
over to
this guy
who will
attempt to
attack you
we'll see if
this helps
at all
or does
anything
a stab
and a
stab
a lack
of
less
misses
oh actually
yes
hits with
one
so vena
you will
take
a slight
stab
oh wow
actually
really good
stab
at max
damage
um
you'll
take 30
points
as it
slashes
just after
victory
reminding you
that one
of these
creatures
is still
there
orrin
you are
up
now
what are
you
someone
got
out
i can
do
my
job
he's
really
excited
just like
oh wow
nah he's
not gonna
go anywhere
um he's
gonna throw
a seed
he's gonna
be like
die
monsters
you don't
belong
in this
world
and he's
basically
going to
take
the
uh
five
both
of these
two
on the
southern
part of
Baldrick
here
uh
and both
of them
uh
i'll
i'll
cast
this
again
just so
you can
have
it
there
um
yeah
they'll
make me
a
i'll
do
poison
this
time
just
for
fun
um
poison
damage
coming in
then you
make me
a dc3
reflex
save
otherwise
i'll take
damage
okay
to the
left
most
one
and then
the
right
both
succeed
yeah
so
they
which
i think
just
absorbs
it
yeah
yeah
it
just
absorbs
both
which
is
terrible
i'm
trying
at least
it only
takes
one
action
for
doing
that
uh
i will
then
uh
give
the rest
of my
actions
to
gergar
mangar
uh
who will
and have
to enter
the slip
and slide
what do
i need
to make
acrobatics
please
uh
not a
reflex
no
no acrobatics
when you're
moving through
it's acrobatics
that's weird
uh
i rolled a
seven on a
die
for a total
of 25
i feel
that's not
the winning
roll there
right
uh
for you
it is
it's like
it was just
the the initial
one which
was the higher
dc
so you're
good
okay
uh
does
when i
should get
up there
uh
because all
the rest
of the
actions
go to him
so he
gets three
that's one
and then he's
just gonna
start attacking
both of them
so we can
attack the
left one
first
with
crits
with an
18 on
the die
picture
i rolled a
303 in my
d6
it's for a
total of
it's gone
it dissipates
as gorgamugger
tears into
it
excellent
uh
he's gonna
attack
with the
other
which is
a miss
for the
five
on the
die
i feel
that i
want to
kind of
crit fish
that
uh
i'll spend
my last
hero point
absolutely
that i have
on that
i'll do
here in a
second
uh
it's not
a crit
no don't
roll crit
damage
it's not
a crit
rolled a
two and a
four of my
d6s for
total of
it's not
gonna be
amazing
it'll uh
get a little
bit
gets
him up
a little
bit
helps
every time
and that
is gonna
be in
devorn's
turn
all right
that brings
us to
rua
all righty
daddy
thurston
i'm
this isn't
actually a
cliff
because they
just kind
of like
walked up
out of
the water
right
they floated
up so
it's not
like it's
more of
like a
cliff
around
here
but like
here like
vena was
able to
come ashore
okay okay
in that case
rua is going
to dash
around vena
the opportune
angle that she
has created
and rua is
just gonna go
for a
backstabu
on
this dude
right
yeah
do it
up
back
here we
go
backstabu
with a
pick
oh yeah
with a
pick
it's gonna
hit
damage
oh
60 damage
okay so
it's gonna
do
extra
it's gonna
take 30
from that
gonna go
for a
map
minus 5
oh
it's gonna
miss
darn it
do you
do you
want to
be pitied
i have
i have
a complication
lined up
okay what
is it
tell me
uh this
one is
from
albedo
alchemics
uh called
wrath of
papa storm
remnant magic
from the old
power of air
has chosen
you as
its unlikely
victim
you or
something in
your immediate
vicinity is
now charged
with electricity
or is struck
by lightning
i can't
it would
be so
easy to
do it
but i
can't
i just
can't
have
i know
i know
what you're
now i know
what you're
thinking
first
i know
what you're
thinking
okay i
can't i
can't i
can't i
mean look
look look
look i
just i
can't
give you
a reflex
there
okay
sorry
can you
let me
down for
a new
bottle of
shambord
please
oh that's
pretty bad
that's uh
the 22
all right
uh re-roll
your attack
we'll come
back to
this
oh great
oh no
i think
i'm taking
a dip
the sun
uh
yeah re-roll
your point
to remove
the hero
point
there we
go
oh
baby
oh
hell
yeah
that's
a crit
there we
go
very nice
with this
many
oh
good damage
yeah it's
a pick
that's a
lot of
number
all right
take 70
and it
explodes
it just
punches a
hole clean
through its
chest
oh
time for
the aftermath
i feel the
pig turn
icon
where is
where is he
where is he
oh
oh
you'll take
uh
you'll take
uh
points of
electricity
damage
rahua as
you're struck
by lightning
in the
immediate
aftermath
of that
rahua
in the
trident
it like
looks like
it looks
like it's
coming down
to hit
venus
square on
and then
just arcs
look
look what i
did
venus
he just
stands there
smoking
like a
fucking
courage
like
you good
never better
you give like
a little
move
attack
attack
what's your
last action
uh
fuck
i forgot
to hit him
with the
restorative
strike
uh
do you want
to like
just start
moving back
towards the
others
yeah i'm
just gonna
okay
uh
let's
figure that
out and
go to the
next guy
keep us
pacing along
here
i'm going to
have this one
float down to
here because
baldric is
their their
primary target
it's going to
float down to
there it's
going to
attack
it's going
to miss
excellent
turn
tanhauser
europe
i told you
i'm dodge
tanking
this shit
i am so
powerful
you are
um
tanhauser
is going
to float
five feet
up into
the air
which should
remove the
prone condition
yep
all righty
then
why stop
there
uh
because i just
need to remove
the prone
condition
okay
and i'm
going to
take this
guy next
to me
and i'm
going to
cast
impending
doom
uh
i sit
through
mirity
at
potential
future
seize
upon
one
potential
moment
in which
the target
meets a
particularly
gruesome
and fatal
end
and i
show
out a
vision
of its
impending
demise
i know
can you
can you read
it like
uh
the stone
face from
that kid
show
olmec
yeah
who's
olmec
what the
fuck
like
he's
the
hidden
temple
yeah
he lives
in the
hidden
temple
do you
remember
that
show
no i
don't
i'd be
going
get the
monkey
statue
you had
the same
cadence as
him so i was like
hey could you do that
real quick
monkey statue
you what the monkey
you sit through myriad potential futures and seize upon one potential moment in the
which the target meets a particularly gruesome and fatal end and you get the tiger poster
that was good that was good thank you you're welcome ah he will need to make me a will save and then we'll see what happens
all right
ooh
that will be
one sec
is that right
wait for that should be a failure i don't know
uh one sec i
i see why yes yes okay it's a success
oh it's a success
yeah yeah because it's got the
one sec is that
no it should be a failure
ignore
ignore that
it should be a failure it's not calculating the
the trait thing right
okay
uh off guard
frightened to
yeah so speaker
what happens when it fails
well
the doom grows closer and closer
uh and gives it time
uh to fully manifest
on the first round the creature is immediately off guard
on the second round it becomes frightened to
then on the third round it also becomes stunned one
at the end of the third round the creature then takes the damage from the spell
yeah okay
so you'll be seeing what a cool spell that is
in three turns
i enter
oh my god okay baldrick
is it finally my time
it's finally your time save us
okay
i'm gonna target the very wounded guy
to my southeast
yes i'm going to quick alchemy together
how much do i have left i have two versatile vials left
you can do it i believe in you
i'm going to quick alchemy together
an alchemist fire
braider again
because i just want to get rid of him
forever
from my life
from my house
not a junk bomb
alchemist fire
pathfinder
roll to hit target
miss
that's a two
mercifully not a one
i'm re-rolling with my remaining hero point
go
critical hit
hell yeah
that's 20
with the 20
blow that guy up
please
blow him up
mr electric send him to hell
50 to 42 damage
one sec
let me do my thing
that will send him straight to rot hell
okay
smash the vial smashes into it
it dissipates
it just i just slammed
i just
baldrick is so fed up with these things
that he
straight up like manages to reach across
corporeal time and space
and slams the vial into the thing's head
vina
you're up vina
you're up
yay
all right
the final
final guys all the way over there
yeah you should know they're gonna be feared by the way
oh
yes
okay
um
so the the there's goop here that's uh
difficult you have to make an acrobatics check if you're on it
okay
it's like i'm treating it sort of like ice
so yeah
okay
so i'm gonna go
first
please
please my mac
please my evil computer
oh
oh
she's mad
the cpu says
oh i can hear this fan it is sweating
can't handle froundry
gotta have a fucking 50-90 to run this shit
it's true
so big
yeah there we go
whoa
i'm gonna use my first action
to move here
i'll make you an acrobatics check thurston
yep
you're fine
you're great
you're amazing
you glide on this like it's nothing
whilst your friends require flight to ignore this
not you
you're too powerful
you you you dip you get you you're here
that's true
i'm so graceful
huh huh
i'm gonna hit this guy
with
my sword
as one does
okay
that's that's all i do
that's my thing
do it
swing the sword sword swinger
do it
do it
jackass
battle hit
battle hit
all right
you do it
you hit
and i will
uh uh add
all of the finisher damage
that he doesn't take
all right
all right
all right
i'm gonna
30 points of damage
before his funny resistances
he takes three
why is it
sorry
that
one sec
the precision damage
get ducked on
yeah that's why
okay
yeah
yeah i think
yep
all right
very cool
that's my
second action
for my third action
i'm gonna hit him
with a faint
because if i were to tumble through
um i think
bad things would happen
all right
actually you know what
i don't need panache right now
and i would have to crit to make him off guard
i'm just gonna move here
for my final action
that's my turn
i'm gonna keep it simple
boom
oran
boom
oran
roast this guy
what that guy
roast that guy
got it
thunderstrike
it's gonna be a critical fail
do do do
gonna take
double damage
holy shit
i rat the man
oh my god
gonna take
can he critically fail it
or normally fail it
sorry he technically normally failed it
i fucked up
but yeah
okay that's fine
only 51
your prize is
wrath of god
all right
that's two turns
kill up
the other turns are gonna go
go monger
don't need to make another acrobatics
to keep going through it
uh not at this point
okay
uh
good guy
my god
will continue
forward
and he will do a
uh
just to make sure
yeah
he'll get two
only does
uh
does 2d6 for 7
got a 2 and a 3 on it
only 12
you only
take 2
still barely
corporeal here
rahua
rahua
all you have to do
is make 2 moves
and acrobatics
check
and a successful
strike
and you
you can do this
okay
i can do this
i believe it
believe it
great news
the person who was dead
did fail their saving throw
excellent
and then an acrobatics check
oh fuck
oh yes
okay
all right
graceful
rahua's clove and hooves
do not touch the goo
here we go
we got one more
one more chance
bring this to a close
it's these every moment
but capture it
or just let it slip
got no more pity points
you didn't get a free move up there though
so
try again
that's true
you can take an off attack
yep
you get
yeah
i'm gonna do it
actually
you get two
two
because you only move once
to get where you are
yeah
oh okay
yippee
that minus five
nope
that's a three
that minus ten
let's try
let's keep going
believe
no
that hits
wait you got one
okay good
you got one
that last one hit
that last one does hit
now for you to roll
minimum damage
yeah
that roll is just
smoldering
you can't say that
stop
stop moving
fucking stop
the last of the spirits
is dissipated
as the
as the pick
comes tearing
through it
all around
the sounds of battle
seem to be diminishing
clearly in the distance
you can see that
dread captain volley
has managed to dispatch
several ghosts
with her ghost touch
rapier
oh of course
of course
you would have that
of course
of course
you know
that's that
that enchantment
is going to be useless
like most of the time
yeah
only one
used once
yeah but
and what's she going to have
if it's not good
against anything
but ghosts
I mean
it's just a rapier
what's it going to do
kill
the rotten
effluents
that's
this covers
the area
seems to recede
as the tide
pulls back
um
whatever caused
this manifestation
seems to be
drawing back
Oren
can you give me
a nature check
sure can
boop boop boop
boop boop
boop boop boop
boop boop boop
boop boop boop
boop boop boop
boop boop boop
boop boop boop boop
that's a 16
for a total of 38
as you
begin to
analyze
what has gone on
you can tell
that this is
yet another
sort of
manifestation
of the old
powers
diminished
presence
that
without their
protection
assaults like
this
and strange
manifestations
are going to
become more
and more
common
as
whatever
malign
intelligence
animates
the rot
pokes and
prods
closer into
society
as you
ponder this
all of you
hear
a booming
sound above
like a
not a
tortured sound
but an
exasperated
as
a shadow
appears above
and a
great sky
whale
veers off
into the
distance
you notice
upon its
back
is a
great
mass
the
vessel
of
captain
shark
skin
is he
okay
and do a
nature check
to see if that
was a
well
sky
well
cry
of
distress
or
i'm
moving
along
it's
enough
it's
enough
for you
to know
that it's
like
moving
under
like
not
duress
but
like
like
the
kind
of
like
whale
equivalent
of
like
you've
uh
you're
making
the
horse
go
a bit
faster
not
like
in
in
any
kind
of
bad
way
but
like
yeah
exactly
i turn
off the
game master
radio
who relate
all the
information
that's
what's
going
on
wow
so
question
is
where
the
hell
is
he
going
what
did
he
see
well
if
something's
going
wrong
i think
we need
to link
it
with
your
mom
first
see
what
the
situation
is
and
see
what
she
knows
she
was
here
first
right
yeah
avina's
going to
shake
out the
water
wipe
off
the
rot
and
just
run
over
to
where
the
rest
of
the
fighting
was
happening
yeah
um
so
you
you
you
head
towards
captain
volley
as
you
do
so
um
the
the
captain
is
sort
of
kind
of
removing
the
stains
of her
own
weapons
as
well
uh
looking
up
and
down
at
you
not
too
bad
wow
i think
that's
the
nicest
thing
you've
ever
said
to
me
what
what
the
hell
was
happening
here
has
anybody
tracked
down
a
source
of
where
the
hell
all
this
came
from
past
few
months
it's
been
coming
out
of
the
sea
occasionally
nothing
like
this
past
few
months
that
would
line
up
to
when
uh
marlene's
old
shit
happened
yes
your
events
you think
they're
related
almost
certainly
there's
a reason
why the
rot's
creeping
up
and
why
the
old
powers
are
dormant
right
now
hello
hello
captain
are you
here
and
rushing
into
the
fray
as the
rest
of
your
comrades
come
up
is
yiza
the
waterway
admiral
the small
halfling
running
still
bedecked
with
you know
scrolls
and other
gear
oh
captain
oh
there's
a bit
of a
problem
huh
huh
huh
huh
yeah
oh
oh
hi
other
uh
vena
um
journal the
hubbub
uh
sharkskin
he
um
he took
the
hat
what
he took
the
he took
the
dread
captain's
hat
what
why the
fuck
would
i thought
we stole
that
yeah i
thought we
have that
like
no we
we did
not
we didn't
do
you saw
a picture
of it
in the
house
the
actual
one
is
was like
in the
vicond
estate
i thought
we had
that
i don't
miss that
detail
when i saw
things that are
pictures i
i assume
they're real
and with
yeah i
believe all
the pictures
in my
picture book
is real
this isn't super mario
64 tanhauser
we don't just have
pictures that turn
into real
things
that permanence
failure
next you gotta say
heaven's real
i hope
when you
die
you don't
go anywhere
it's true
i won't
i go back
to space
yay
yay
yay
okay
so this
can't possibly
be connected
to sharkskin
right
or is he
just using
the commotion
to steal
off with
the hat
that's
that's exactly
what he did
he took
the hat
him and some
of the wishes
they broke
in
everyone was
occupied and
looking after
their own stuff
he he went
in i was there
doing my my
my work and
and the few
guards they
they what
one man was
stabbed
he was stabbed
so many times
was he stabbed
97 times
no 87
specifically 87
stab wounds
only 87
rookie numbers
gotta get that
up
okay
well
we can give
pursuit
after sharkskin
does it look like
there's any more
of these
creatures
manifesting
that we need
to stay behind
and take care
of
the dread
captain volley
is now like
staring
off into
the horizon
where shark
skins like
ship
is moving
off
that's
his game
what
what's
his game
well
he wants
to undo
the wish
undo
undo
he doesn't
want the child
to be dead
oh
child's dead
turns
but the wish
that keeps
them animate
they want
to become
inanimate
well
if they don't
have their
captain anymore
they have
nothing
to live
for
in their
eyes
yes
they must
have a dearth
of purpose
there might
be deeper
psychological
issues going
on with our
friend
sharkskin
perhaps we
contend to
them
yeah
we'll give
chase
go back to
our ship
and
we're nimble
enough we
should be able
to catch
them
um
yeah
vena
you
you bring
this this
this point
up
um
very much
expressing
a sort
of
the
the
the situation
as you
are seeing
it and
say that
you can
catch up
but then
you
you feel
something
strange
like you
you momentarily
lose your
balance
um
and you
you fall
back
as this
happens
something
something
strikes
you
and
you feel
yourself
falling
like you're
like you're
in water
maybe
it's
it's
it's a
very
disconcerting
feeling
and
you've
experienced
it before
once
during your
death
as
as you
feel like
you are
trying to
swim
up through
an ocean
of
dark
black
viscous
awful
liquid
and
you see
something
a light
at the
top
that you're
swimming
towards
you
realize
that it's
not a
light
it's a
hat
and that
your
salvation
is tied
to that
hat
oh
and that
is where
we will
call
today's
episode
oh i've
gotta put
that hat
on
yeah not
unless the
children's toys
crack it
like an
egg so
they can
end their
own existence
first
so we'll
have to
see what
happens next
time on
an exciting
episode of
rock grind
