This is Special Agent Ruckson.
Here with…uh… Jack.
Jack, why are you here?
JACK
Because something weird happened, last night.
Um, I was walking home and I saw this thing.
It was like a diamond in the sky.
Huge. Bigger than then moon.
AGENT RUCKSON
Ok. I see. What like a UFO?
JACK Maybe. I don’t know. But it was glowing and sending out these gold waves. I could feel the waves inside me.
And then things got weird. Really weird.
AGENT RUCKSON
Right. Well Jack I was out last night. I didn’t see any big diamond in the sky.
JACK
No. Listen, people started doing impossible things.
Um. this woman across the street, she was spinning her phone in the air like with her mind.
This guy I swear he was in two places at once.
And then me. I…
AGENT RUCKSON
What, Jack?
JACK
I could… I could disappear and then reappear somewhere else. Across the street. I kept doing it.
One moment in one spot and then another 50 feet away. I was teleporting. It was crazy, but I loved it.
And then the diamond. It was growing. Taking up the whole sky.
I could feel it more and more. And then, it was…the it was gone.
AGENT RUCKSON
Oh. How convenient.
So that’s it. Everything back to normal then?
JACK
No.
AGENT RUCKSON
Huh?
JACK
Not back to normal. It was like something woke up inside me. And it’s still awake.
AGENT RUCKSON
Ok. JACK
You don’t believe me?
AGENT RUCKSON
No, Jack, I don’t. And I have better things to do than sit here talking to people like you.
JACK It was real, Agent Ruckson.
It’s still awake inside me.

[woosh]
AGENT RUCKSON
