Hello, hi, and welcome or welcome back to the Strategic Magic podcast. I'm your host Blu, and I'm your business astrologer here to help you use astrology so you can start, grow, and scale your online business.
We are firmly in the new year. Happy 2026 y'all. And in this episode, I wanna break down how to use astrology to plan your business. So whether you're listening to this in real time or if you're revisiting this in the future, this episode is gonna be really helpful to guide you in what is actually required to plan for success in your business and to use astrology as a compliment for that rather than a hindrance. So if you're curious about what that looks like, then keep listening.
I really wanna break down exactly what is required to plan for success in your business, specifically within the next 90 days. I think that 90 days or 12 weeks is a really good span of time when you're considering goal setting and planning for the actions that are required to make those goals actually be achieved or achievable in your business.
So, I want this episode to be really helpful for you, and you can definitely use this right now as you are finalizing and making momentum, making motion happen towards the goals that you have set out for the beginning of 2026. But I also wanna encourage you to listen to this in the future as well, as you are doing your future goal setting. This is also gonna be relevant for that.
So if goal setting for your business is something you're really interested in getting into, especially when it comes to integrating astrology for your business strategy, then I also wanna invite you to join me inside of the Midheaven Method, which is my signature program all about how to create a business strategy that is aligned to your Midheaven, as well as the rest of your astrology.
All the information for the Midheaven Method can be found in the description of this episode. So definitely make sure that you check that out and join me inside of the program.
First and foremost, before you can dive into any goal setting, you have to assess the state of your business. What actually is going on? And this is the perfect time, I think, to be reevaluating this, to take a look back at the things that you have accomplished and the things that you want to build momentum towards and be more intentional around in your business.
This is so important, and I've talked about this in previous episodes. But before you can take any forward action, it is so crucial to assess the state of your business and what actually is going on, and more specifically to focus in on what the data of your business is actually saying.
So making data-driven decisions is something that I am huge about because so often, business owners get caught up in the trap of thinking that their feelings or their emotions is what they need to be leading with. But in fact, it is the data and what the numbers are actually saying of what's working.
And you'd be surprised. Like, data in and of itself is neutral. But with that comes a sort of separation between the cushioning between the emotions and the fluctuation of that, especially if you're somebody that leads with a personal brand or your business feels very personal to you... relying on the data to help you track your progress and make critical decisions on what you should and should not be pivoting actually gives you a lot of breathing room and a lot of much needed neutrality to be brought into your business.
So what I really like about this as well is that it also zooms you out of the day to day and looks at the macro effect of your business.
So you can look at the data from the last business year, for 2025. Or at the very least, the last 90 days if you're doing this in the future, to really consider what the actual state of your business currently is.
You could do this for all the different platforms that you're active on. If I were to look at this for, let's say a YouTube channel? I would be looking at the numbers: what did I start with and what am I currently at? The number of subscribers; videos that I created and put out there; comments. If I have links to different programs or offers, how many of those views actually translated to the results that I was looking for? So how many people actually converted into those links specifically?
I do this personally by, I track all my linking, so it's quite easy for me to look back and see exactly where people are finding or clicking on the links or actually converting from specific videos, so this makes the tracking process a lot easier.
Or maybe like you don't even have these numbers, right? Acknowledging that is a really good state of business and allows you to kind of say, Hey, okay, like this is where things are. But getting in the habit of making data-driven decisions, I think starts with being really intentional about assessing and reevaluating the data on a regular schedule.
Now, you definitely don't want to be doing this every single day. We wanna give your data space to breathe and to do its own thing. But when you're able to zoom out, you can begin to see the patterns of what is actually working and what isn't. And this helps to both quiet your anxiety about things not working immediately, and also gives you a lot of room for the patterns to emerge so that you know exactly how to move forward.
So assessing the state of your business also requires you to give your emotions a job to do. Being emotional about your business and feeling like, oh my gosh, like I really wanna change, I really wanna switch things up. I'm feeling a little antsy or bored or some sort of personal emotion attached to your business... perhaps the space to dictate major directions for your business isn't the best place for that to be. But instead, it is more of helping you to reevaluate and assess this data.
Going back to looking at the data, let's say that you personally put a lot of thought and energy and actually have the most momentum data-wise into a platform like TikTok. Your emotions can actually be a good gauge of whether or not you want to continue to put your energy towards that platform, or if you want to switch up where you're putting your energy towards.
So let's say that the data points to a lot of activity coming from you putting in the output of making TikTok videos, but actually a lot of your conversions were actually happening from your podcast. Okay? So that's a really good indicator that your podcast is actually the platform to be prioritizing that momentum.
Perhaps you don't wanna abandon TikTok altogether. You like the platform, and so you can shift it to be more of a secondary complimentary platform that supports the podcast, instead of having your podcast be secondary to your TikTok.
That is the first part of this: really evaluating the state of where you currently are in your business and helping to illuminate where you want to go, which is actually the next step: getting really clear on what your goals are.
So with this in particular, I want you to be setting specific achievable goals. We're not even gonna get into the whole acronyms because like if they work for you, they work for you. If they don't, they don't. That's not the point of this podcast.
The whole point of this is how to make your goal setting as actionable as possible.
So the method that I think is the most effective is to be as specific as possible with your goal setting and making them really targeted. So for example, instead of having 10 different goals that you wanna have, limit this to one overarching goal, right? And then break that down into smaller steps.
When it comes to setting goals in 90 day increments, it is really important to focus in on one specific goal at a time. I am all about minimizing and making things as simplified as possible. So 90 days is a really good sprint of time for you to be hyper-focused on one thing at a time.
I think that we really overestimate our ability to get things done. And when we have a lot of things on our plate, we have a lot of obligations that we're managing, it can be hard to prioritize or even juggle multiple goals at once. So it is really important, I think, to have one focused goal for this time period rather than a bunch of different goals. Even three can be hard to manage if you don't already have a system that works for you.
So with the data in mind, you really wanna consider where is the direction that you wanna go in? And what is the one goal that's gonna help you to move forward and build momentum in the direction that you do want to go towards?
For example, let's say that your podcast is the platform that you want to be prioritizing in your business as your primary platform. Okay, great. Instead of having a bunch of goals, a really specific goal to have would be to build the consistency muscle with your podcast. So dedicating to sharing one episode a week. And prioritizing that one episode each week really gets you in the momentum of prioritizing your podcast and also everything that comes along with it, really taking the time to consider what is your process for creating the idea, recording, editing, scheduling out, batching? Getting even better if you're not already with the process of preparing Podcast episodes in the future that you can use, and really getting intentional about what secondary platforms even that you're using and how you are thinking about your marketing on these other platforms.
All of that being informed by your data, and also your emotions with where you want to go, the direction that you actually want to be going towards.
So getting really clear and having one specific goal... it builds that momentum. So by the time that you reach the end of these 90 days, you're able to have not only the data that you need to look back and say, okay, this is the progress that has been made. How are things going? You're giving it the space for the data to be collected, but also to build the momentum that you need in order to build upon this goal so that you can make the next goal a little bit easier.
Now I like to leave this last because I think it is really important to consider that astrology is a tool, but it's not meant to be the entire strategy. And this is something that we really dive into inside of the Midheaven Method, that the astrology is supposed to compliment what your goals are. But without your specific goals, your specific experience, and input on what exactly you want your business and your goal to actually look like... the astrology is just gonna do its own thing. It's just gonna unfold. But it can't do the work for you.
So when it comes to your goal setting, once you have all this in place, you wanna consider what are gonna be the most supportive planets or astrological energy to work with and what this looks like for you within your chart. Are there specific transits that involve this particular planet? Or maybe even specific ingress or astrological weather to look out for that you can really use as a boost, especially when it comes to things like timing.
So for keeping on with this example, right? If you want to get consistent with your podcast, Mercury would be a planet that you would look to astrologically. So where's your natal Mercurial placement? Are there major Mercurial transits that are coming up around the horizon, such as Mercury retrograde, or your own Mercury return, right? These are things that you can utilize and help with the achieving of the goals that you have with being consistent with your podcast and what specifically that looks like based on your goals.
I really like to do this in a way that helps astrology be the compliment to your goal setting to help make achieving this goal so much easier and not something that you're fighting against, that is creating roadblocks or additional challenges, but instead using it as a guide to make achieving this goal so much easier.
That is really the process that I use when it comes to goal setting with astrology, and I am so excited for you to use this strategy to achieve your goals in your business.
