because it's all rigged up the wrong way uh we're on the warhead special tomorrow if you are a

episode was a hero point system uh we've kind of adjusted that a little bit uh we kind of went a
little bit wild with our last session with it but we want to reassure people that like hey uh we heard
some feedback and we kind of agreed with a lot of it that uh we're gonna make sure hero points that we
spin are specifically just on like d20 uh re-rolls in narrative declarations and stuff like that
and uh allowing thurston to just be evil with his and stuff we're not gonna try to fight with the
points or anything else so just to reaffirm that for everybody uh and the final bit of news that
we're taking a break on july if you are watching this in the future this doesn't really matter to
you if you're watching us as the show is growing and continuing we're taking a break on july 23rd
there's not going to be an episode on july 23rd instead there could be a q a session we just want
to take a break talk about the campaign uh have everyone ask a whole bunch of questions and stuff
come just talk to us so we can interact with all of you uh so we'll be doing a uh maybe like an hour
an hour or two stream uh on july 23rd around our normal start time for the show so you can all talk

brought up the map and it has the boss made like three times as big and it's his phase three
um she's big now she's big now yeah yeah the martin's big now that's all good it's all good okay
let's let's sit back here all right so where where do we begin uh today's session well uh as as as
per usual i think we actually begin today's session uh with a recap uh so last time our destined band
of chuckle fucks had a fight that's it right that's right that's yeah yeah yeah okay when
actually our destined band of chuckle fucks reconvened at the basement level of doug sandron
house before pursuing leads uh up to the locked door at the top floor of the fortress so crunch
escorted the imprisoned girl out of the tyrant skilled prisons while the rest of our party members
went to confront martinet cardoza entering into the upper gala hall the pcs found martinet cardoza
the tyrant's guild surrounded by corpses uh forced into a battle with her the pcs launched a furious
assault that brought her low in short order but then she turned into phase two uh shining with
beneficent light the martinet broke through the glass floor of the upper level and slew the enthralled
gala members of the lower level the battle continued on the the the main floor of the building with
valley incinerated by divine light tan hauser brought low by by barrages of bullets baldrick
and rahua fighting valiantly while orrin tossed magical fire from above finally a hurled mace from
rahua finding its mark in the the center of the head of this being ended the martinet's existence and
as we ended last session the martinet exploded in a burst of light and as with all things light
there is also darkness
valley you are swimming you are swimming through a pitch black and as you are moving through this this
miasmic sludge that surrounds you you hold your breath hoping for it to abate
um my my friend volley can you give me an athletics check
oh boy it's a good thing i'd have uh uh one extra point in strength now yeah
well yeah we all leveled up to five by the way level five now uh that is uh a 13
oh gosh this this like sludge that you move through is is is just so thick like it's almost
like you're you're swimming through jello your your your fingers able to like grab on to blackness
that you can't really see but know is there somehow pulling you up you you feel there is a light ahead
you feel your body being weighed down and then in the in the back in the back of your mind you
you hear this this rumbling voice
come to me child
and and you you can feel that the the like weight of this sludge is
seemingly lessening as you pull yourself up um and then then you you hear something folly you hear
what sounds like a horn some some some distant sound some
that like
hums in the background as you are pulling yourself up
what are you doing
oh god uh so i hear a hum behind me yeah i'm just gonna keep trying to pull myself upward or
i'm gonna give a look around is it still just pitch dark you want to give me a perception check
yeah i will in fact
sweet uh my perception is it's a-okay
well not like that that is
starting off good starting off good i don't see shit
oh god can i can i use a complication in a in a dream sequence oh fuck okay uh well
it's a real complicated dream now we had a good one valley yeah right coming
god um well i have some bad news okay so so you you begin to to look around valley um and as you are looking around there is there is this just absolutely awful awful feeling as um gosh something seems to put its way into your eyes
like you you you feel whatever this horrific substance is it has now entered into your eyes and it is just the the strangest most like just awful awful feeling uh as it as it gets in there and you want to desperately desperately uh to to claw out your your
your your your own eyes as this this vileness has entered them um
um let's see here um and and as this is going on you just you you you feel your your body being pulled
pulled down pulled towards the the strange keening horns behind you
uh and something is just like wrapping itself around your right leg uh what are you doing now
oh
uh i don't recognize the sound of the horns do i like this is all totally unfamiliar to me
um oh gosh what kind of skills do you have about like sounds anything uh oh i have a low intelligence
so oh oh i like that um so do you have any do you have performance at all i do that one's dex based so
i'm pretty good at that one yeah you wanna you wanna give me a you wanna give me a performance check to
recall knowledge on like different instruments maybe yeah sure give that a all right we go from a one to a
natural 20. sure yeah not only do i recognize these i know the key signature volley stops and she's
just like oh e flat minor um well
you recognize the sound as the the far distant sound of bagpipes

that's interesting the the feeling on my leg is it like like some kind of tendril is it is it cold
is it like warm it's pressure it has no cold it has no uh like like you know no cold no heat
it's more just like a pressure like like a tendril or tentacle wrapping itself around you
yeah i'm just gonna try my best to squirm out of it and keep struggling to the direction that i think
up is okay okay well as as this goes on i'm gonna i've got i've got it i've got it i've got it i've got
the complication now for your prior thing i just took me a second to find it here all right so you you

with wisps

uh smoke
and light
coming out
of the

blood-smeared
replica
