A reshuffle within the Scottish Government has seen a single portfolio taking control of renewable energy, economy, and net zero goals, with other changes being confirmed by First Minister Humza Yousaf.
Kaukab Stewart will also become the first woman of colour to hold a role within the Scottish parliament, as she moves into the role of Minster for Culture, Europe and International Development.
Wider changes have been made to health and social care, drugs and alcohol policy, transport, as well as agriculture and connectivity.

The UK Government has announced that funding will be committed with the aim of delivering tens of thousands of new homes across the country.
This will be done through an expansion to the Affordable Homes Scheme, seeing a further £3 billion committed to the building of 20,000 new homes, and is being backed by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
This commitment to the building of new homes comes as part of the government’s plans to build one million new homes before the end of this parliament.

Today sees the launch of an online survey for those living in Greater Manchester to have their say on new plans to improve safety on the region’s roads.
Transport for Greater Manchester is progressing with the development of its Vision Zero strategy, which aims to end road deaths and life-changing injuries by 2040.
This strategy comes after 10,000 were either killed or seriously injured on the region’s roads in the last ten years.
