Nick Loudon (00:00)
In 10, nine, eight. I'm just kidding. Okay, hello everyone, welcome to the break room. My name's Nick, I'm joined by Corey and Zach, and we're just gonna talk about things that we wanna talk about, and you're gonna listen, okay? Sit there and listen, that's how you do it. Yeah, you will like it, or you won't.

Zach Stevens (00:03)
Five, four, three.

Corey Haines (00:21)
and you will like it.

Zach Stevens (00:24)
Do they have to sit? Can they walk if they want?

Nick Loudon (00:28)
The topics might be so good that they have to stop, yeah, and just sit and listen.

Corey Haines (00:28)
You have to stop whatever you're doing.

Yeah, if you're doing the dishes,

stop. If you're walking the dog, stop right now where you are and listen.

Nick Loudon (00:36)
Sit still

and stay. Okay, so what we're going to talk about today is we're going to find out just how different we are, the three of us. The goal here is that each of us mentioned something that the other two people like that we hate or vice versa, like the thing that the other two people hate that you like, or both. I'll take both if you want to answer both.

and you probably already have something in mind, as we were already talking about before this. So Zach, why don't you kick us off?

Zach Stevens (01:17)
Sure. So

I've been trying to listen to like new music lately. So I listened to some of the Japanese house, which is, know, one of Corey's favorites. And I was impressed. I thought that that was like a good mix of, you know, some new wave. And it sounded kind of like Kate Bush. I thought like I got Kate Bush vibes. know, the song from Stranger Things that keep running up that hill. Yeah.

Corey Haines (01:31)
really?

Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love that.

Straight banger.

Zach Stevens (01:45)
Yeah. So like,

you know, eight, like new wave synth vibes, which I thought were really cool. And I was like, Oh, who's that guy? I was like, who's the guy that the, um, both of you talked about? was like, Bon Iver, I'll give Bon Iver a shot. And my gosh, I can't stand it.

Corey Haines (02:02)
Dude, that's crazy. He's literally my all time favorite. I think he's the best ever.

Nick Loudon (02:05)
Really?

Zach Stevens (02:07)
I like

Listen, can see like, somebody who has self taught on guitar, I can see it like, okay, this guy's technically talented. No question. I can see the technical talent that he has. I can't get on board with it. Like, I feel like this is the kind of music that would have to be on in the background. But as far as listening to it and actually wanting to enjoy it, I can't do it the same way that I do with things like.

Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd or like Pink Floyd AT like I can't can't I can't get into that music. It's so hard for me and I don't know why.

Nick Loudon (02:40)
It's crazy how opposite we are on this.

Corey your

rebuttal.

Corey Haines (02:50)
Okay, wait, what did you listen to and how much, like how many songs and from what albums?

Nick Loudon (02:53)
Great question.

Zach Stevens (02:54)
This is the thing, I

couldn't even get a minute into 22 a million. I'm out within the first song, was like bye bye.

Corey Haines (03:02)
Okay, well,

Nick Loudon (03:04)
What's the first song?

Corey Haines (03:04)
you have to give it a little bit longer and you have to do a little bit more exploration because his really early stuff is pretty like folksy and acoustic and there's a lot of really interesting elements I think you could at least appreciate and tolerate. Then like a little bit like mid career, he sort of has this like electronic phase and then more recently it's been coming kind of like

back to the roots, like more of like a mixture of that acoustic slash electronic, but it still is more of like a traditional bands, a combination of instruments and sounds.

Zach Stevens (03:36)
Hmm.

Nick Loudon (03:44)
If we make a recommendation,

will you follow it? Okay.

Zach Stevens (03:47)
Yes. So

this was the issue that I have with 22, A Million is like, can see that you're technically talented. I think that it's a little bit, I don't like try hard stuff where it's like, okay, this feels like there's way too much effort that's going into this. And I feel like it's not even music for the sake of music. It's like designers who design websites for other designers. I'm like, okay, that's fine. it's like, I get it. You're pushing it. You're trying to show off to your music friends.

Corey Haines (03:59)
It's not.

Nick Loudon (04:00)
This is our take.

Zach Stevens (04:17)
but I'm not into it.

Nick Loudon (04:17)
funny thing is this is the least like

this is the the non designer take like you designers probably like him almost certainly okay can I make a recommendation yeah you should you should start not even with his like original album which is the like folksy one with the second album which is self-titled

Corey Haines (04:25)
Yeah, right, right,

Zach Stevens (04:26)
I'm

not like other designers.

Corey Haines (04:28)
I

think that you definitely chose the wrong album though. First, where to start. Go ahead, Nick.

Zach Stevens (04:31)
Of course, please.

Nick Loudon (04:44)
That's like his most, I would say pure like, okay, he got some recognition for the first one. And now he's like, let me just make an album that has a few more instruments and it's not as like crazy and weird. And it's just like good music. So it's self-titled album. It's looks like a little painting, the cover art. Yeah. It's from 2011. That is, I think that's probably going to go down as his best. I personally, I like 22 a million a lot. Like that's the, like if I'm on a car.

Zach Stevens (04:56)
This is.

Corey Haines (04:57)
Mm-hmm.

Zach Stevens (04:59)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm looking at it on Spotify right now. Okay.

Corey Haines (05:03)
I thought it was so good.

Nick Loudon (05:12)
draw like a road trip by myself. will, by the time the road trip is over, I'm going to listen front to back to the whole album for sure. But yeah, yeah, I'm just, I just like tryhards. This is why I like it.

Zach Stevens (05:20)
Good for you,

Corey Haines (05:25)
He is an

acquired taste. And I understand what you mean by like designers designing for other designers because he's like every music artist's favorite music artist. You know what I mean? Like everybody loves him. It's like, he's done features and like collabs with so many different people across so many different genres. Everybody has like an enormous amount of respect for him, but he's not like the most palatable.

Zach Stevens (05:37)
Mm-hmm. Yep.

Corey Haines (05:54)
It's a little bit more of like a deep cut. If I had to make like a song recommendation, I would just go for like a Skinny Love or Hey Ma, because those are like catchy, more like radio marketable songs, I suppose. If you like, if I'm like, hey, Zach, just for three minutes, put this in your ears and just listen to it through, it would be one of those songs.

Zach Stevens (05:56)
Mm-hmm.

Mm. Mm-hmm.

I will do it. I'm adding it to my library right now. So I'm adding the self-titled and then Hey Ma and it's Skinny Love. Skinny Love. Yeah. Okay. I know that song.

Nick Loudon (06:23)
Just listen.

Corey Haines (06:28)
Skinny love, yeah.

Nick Loudon (06:30)
Yeah, my whole.

My hope is that you would at least give the self-titled album the first three songs. Listen to the first three songs all the way through. And then if you're like, nope, you can turn it off. That's fine with me.

Zach Stevens (06:45)
Okay, and then you guys have to do the same thing for Sailing the Seas of Cheese by Primus.

Nick Loudon (06:50)
Okay

Corey Haines (06:52)
Sailing the Seas of Cheese by Primus? What is going on?

Nick Loudon (06:53)
I know I gotta look this up.

Zach Stevens (06:57)
think like if the band Rush had an acid trip, that's what Primus is. You know, you don't know, you don't know Rush? Are you kidding me? my God, Corey. Is it a band?

Corey Haines (07:02)
I don't know what rush is either.

Nick Loudon (07:04)
Okay, I have it on my Spotify.

Yeah, you're a problem.

Corey Haines (07:08)
Is that a band?

Nick Loudon (07:13)
Okay, I am the bridge between all of you. I'm

the bridge. know both of these, I like both of the sides of these things, but Corey not knowing what rushes is wrong.

Zach Stevens (07:23)
this guy he's

are you are you are you just pulling our leg right now are you trying to sound cooler than you are like

Corey Haines (07:29)
Dude, legitimately, I've never

heard anybody reference anything musical called Rush.

Zach Stevens (07:37)
Tom Sawyer, you've never watched I Love You Man? okay, well then you should listen to Rush too, because they're also fantastic.

Nick Loudon (07:37)
Yeah, you just live in a box.

Corey Haines (07:38)
ever.

But to be fair, I

never pay attention to any song titles, albums, lyrics, or artists. I just, I'm just so present with the music. You know, I just really...

Zach Stevens (07:54)
This is getting worse and worse. Let's... Next turn.

Corey Haines (07:59)
I'm actually not kidding though.

Nick Loudon (08:01)
Do you want to do you have something that we hate that you like?

Zach Stevens (08:04)
I don't think so.

Nick Loudon (08:06)
Okay, that's fine. I have both, that's

why I gave that option, so I could do it.

Zach Stevens (08:11)
I mean,

so the thing is, it's the, the something that I like that you both hate. I don't know if both of you hate it. I know there are a couple of things that Corey doesn't like that Nick and I might like. And then there are things that I like that Nick might not, but you know, we'll get there. I'm more curious to hear what, what you, what you like that we hate or, or yeah, yeah, of course.

Nick Loudon (08:23)
Yeah.

Okay, sweet.

Me? You want me to go?

Okay, up first, something that you two like, yeah, this one's a gimme. Something that you two like that I just don't care about at all is jujitsu, because you guys are meatheads, okay? You're just a bunch of doofuses breaking your brains with jujitsu. I just don't really care. And as much as you guys convince me, and Corey says, you will go to a class by the end of this year.

Corey Haines (08:47)
yeah, that's a layup.

You

Nick Loudon (09:02)
It's just not gonna happen. I just won't do it. It's simple as that. I don't hate.

Corey Haines (09:08)
I'm going to bring jujitsu to

you then. I'm going to do jujitsu on you in your house and host a class.

Nick Loudon (09:13)
Have you you've been to my house there's not enough room

Zach Stevens (09:14)
I'll be there. Can I go? Please?

there's plenty of room. Please let me know when that is so I can attend.

Corey Haines (09:21)
haha

Nick Loudon (09:24)
I, it's not that I hate the sport. (Jiu Jitsu) Like I, I'm fine with the sport thing of it, whatever. I just don't want to do it. And you guys are so about doing it. It's like, I can't like compare it. I'm trying to compare it to something like it's like a sport that like, you're supposed to just watch. You're not really meant to play. If that makes sense. That's what it feels like. It's like.

Corey Haines (09:44)
the exact opposite.

Nick Loudon (09:47)
Okay. All right. That's just how I feel. Okay. You can't tell me how I feel.

Zach Stevens (09:49)
Well, here's so well,

truthfully, it's the only sport where I feel like you can go all out, like right from the get go and you will learn quite rapidly. And then at the higher up you go, the longer you can play. You don't really play jujitsu though. Like you just practice. Like the black, black belts will be able to roll with each other for like half an hour at a time. And.

Nick Loudon (10:09)
Let's go play!

Zach Stevens (10:18)
They'll just keep going and going and going and going and going.

Nick Loudon (10:20)
just sweaty

stinky men just rolling around together.

Zach Stevens (10:24)
It is stinky

and sweaty, but there's nothing like it,

Nick Loudon (10:26)
Yeah, that's the part I like, but

I just, yeah, I can't get into it. I think it's like diving. I don't wanna go up and jump off the board, but it's interesting to see. Does that make sense? Like I don't need to go up there and bounce and be like, whoa, okay, I guess I'm gonna jump. Like I don't wanna do that. I'm cool with seeing them do it.

Corey Haines (10:41)
That's actually a perfect analogy.

Respect.

Zach Stevens (10:48)
I

there's definitely more pragmatism to jiu-jitsu than there is cliff diving. Like just saying, cliff diving is like ballet. It's like, yeah, you could learn that, but is ballet really gonna help you in any way? Is there any practical element to ballet? No, it's purely an art, just like diving. But there's a lot of pragmatism to jiu-jitsu.

Nick Loudon (11:10)
Yeah, beating people up. Yeah, I feel that. I feel that.

Zach Stevens (11:13)
It's not even beating people

up. I think that it's just like, cause the point is actually not to beat people up. It's the ability to subdue somebody without having to permanently injure them. You can just get them to a point of submission and then it's over.

Nick Loudon (11:28)
Okay, I feel that. Yeah, let's hurt people. Okay, I also have one more honorable mention for this category of two things that, of things that you guys like that I hate and that is ourselves. You guys like yourselves, I deep down hate myself.

Corey Haines (11:33)
for fun.

You

Nice.

Nick Loudon (11:50)
Okay,

moving on to the next one. Something that, yeah, yeah. Something you guys hate that I like is League of Legends. I like League of Legends a lot. It's a good game. I think the person who edits these videos also like League of Legends. Corey, correct me if I'm wrong. A lot. Okay, Michael, don't look up my op.gg for any of you listening who know what that is. It's just gonna tell you how bad I am. I like League of Legends a lot and I just.

Zach Stevens (11:51)
my. The therapy begins.

Corey Haines (11:59)
Hmm.

he does. Shout out to Michael.

I'm gonna look up your OP.gg.

Nick Loudon (12:20)
You don't know my name, so you can't do it. You don't know my screen name. No, it's not. It's not. That was my name, the name I made when I was like 13. No, no, it's. No, I.

Corey Haines (12:23)
It's, wait, you said it's live for him, he died for you.

It's not.

That's the name you keep forever. What are you talking about? That was the name you have. Everybody

Zach Stevens (12:34)
I mean, I don't know.

Corey Haines (12:38)
keeps their gamertag from when they were a teenager.

Nick Loudon (12:40)
I

don't have that gamertag on anything anymore, dude. I deleted it.

Corey Haines (12:44)
so it's just like Nick Loudon. so boring.

Nick Loudon (12:48)
stop. It's Nick from Conversion Factory. So that's one thing to keep in mind that I just I like that game and you guys don't so I can't can't argue with me on it. Corey, what you got?

Corey Haines (12:51)
Thank you.

Zach Stevens (13:00)
You

Corey Haines (13:03)
I have a hard time with this one. So the first one is something that I like that you guys don't, or is it the opposite?

Zach Stevens (13:11)
It doesn't matter. I only had one.

Nick Loudon (13:13)
Either way.

Corey Haines (13:13)
Okay.

Well, something that I love that I'm pretty sure neither of you like is dates. I'm a freaking date fiend going on dates and, eating dates. No, no, no, just dates the fruit.

Zach Stevens (13:21)
I love.

Nick Loudon (13:22)
Going on dates?

Zach Stevens (13:27)
I love dates. I eat Medjool dates all the time.

Corey Haines (13:30)
Okay,

Nick Loudon (13:30)
Of

Corey Haines (13:30)
nevermind, disqualified.

Nick Loudon (13:30)
course he does. I don't like dates. I don't like dates. I like bacon wrap dates though.

Zach Stevens (13:33)
I love them

wrapped in bacon stuffed with sausage.

Corey Haines (13:36)
Yeah.

There we go. BCDs.

Nick Loudon (13:44)
PCD.

Corey Haines (13:47)
I don't really know what's something that I like that you guys don't.

Nick Loudon (13:50)
You just don't listen or care

Zach Stevens (13:51)
You

Nick Loudon (13:51)
about us.

Zach Stevens (13:51)
might not have a thing. I was trying to think. I love Zivia. I like dogs.

Corey Haines (13:53)
Because me and Zach both like Zivia.

Nick Loudon (13:55)
Dogs.

I don't hate, well, I like dogs, but I don't love dogs. Compared to Corey, I hate dogs. That's what I'm saying. He's like infatuated with dogs.

Corey Haines (14:05)
Yeah.

Hmm, what about?

Zach Stevens (14:11)
I watched...

I love dogs.

Corey Haines (14:15)
Have you ever owned a dog?

Zach Stevens (14:17)
Yes. Like as an adult, no, because I wasn't able to when I, well in both, both apartment complexes that I had, and then we got pregnant and decided that we weren't going to get a dog when we got our house, even though we both want a dog, Naomi and I, and, and Harper, and Harper wants a dog too. She loves dogs. but I love dogs. And no, when she sees them, she's like all about it. Like she yells, she reaches out, she wants to pet the dog.

Nick Loudon (14:21)
Ew.

pregnant with the

She's like, that's her first word, dad, I want a dog.

Corey Haines (14:39)
Yeah.

Nick Loudon (14:43)
Yeah.

Zach Stevens (14:46)
and all that. And I grew up around dogs. I've had a dog. I can't remember a time not having a dog growing up.

Nick Loudon (14:52)
I feel like Corey doesn't have to convince you of this because this is something I brought up. So, sorry. I just assumed that Zach wasn't as into dogs as you.

Zach Stevens (14:57)
You

Corey Haines (15:00)
Yeah, it doesn't really seem like a dog guy, but that's great. I'm glad that you do. That way I don't have to sell you on it. No, no, geez Louise. I wouldn't go that low. No, no, no, no, no, no. I just thought you were like neutral about dogs or just kind of like didn't prefer them, you know.

Nick Loudon (15:02)
Nah.

Zach Stevens (15:05)
What would you think of a cat person?

Nick Loudon (15:08)
Neither.

Zach Stevens (15:09)
Okay.

You probably picture me as like,

he has like a boa constrictor or something in his garage. That's, that's mean.

Nick Loudon (15:21)
You do have those vibes, yeah, reptile vibes.

Corey Haines (15:24)
No, you gave me like

a rodent guy kind of vibe, like you got hamsters, like a gerbil or something.

Nick Loudon (15:30)
Dude, that is a low blow.

Zach Stevens (15:30)
It depends

on what the gerbil's for.

Nick Loudon (15:35)
Yeah,

yeah

Corey Haines (15:37)
You know, for your snake. Gosh, dang it. What else? What are like my really obscure likes? Zaculek sci-fi, right? Because I mean, I love, dinosaurs. Bro, dinosaurs.

Zach Stevens (15:46)
Yeah.

Nick Loudon (15:50)
you

Zach Stevens (15:53)
What? don't dis- I like dinosaurs.

Nick Loudon (15:55)
The problem with the prompt is hate. And this is like, how could,

Corey Haines (15:59)
Ah,

Nick Loudon (16:00)
why would you hate dinosaurs? they're not here. Like what would you hate about them? The prompt doesn't work for that. But I'll, for you, I'll say I hate them.

Corey Haines (16:00)
I know. You can't, I hate that. The stupid extinct things.

Ugh!

Zach Stevens (16:12)
I

don't like all these things that Corey's saying that we hate, because you'd have to be a weird person to hate these things.

Corey Haines (16:20)
True. You

guys have to help me out. What are things that you hate that I like?

Nick Loudon (16:21)
or just something that we probably

like? What about something we probably like?

Zach Stevens (16:24)
I've, here,

here, I got one, got one. Abercrombie and Fitch.

Corey Haines (16:29)
there we go. So you're saying you hate my style.

Nick Loudon (16:31)
Do you like it?

Zach Stevens (16:35)
No, nope. Nope. Here. I got it. I got it. Nick. I got it. Birkenstocks on men.

Nick Loudon (16:36)
No!

Corey Haines (16:42)
yes!

Nick Loudon (16:44)
Yeah, I don't like that. Yeah, I don't like that.

Zach Stevens (16:45)
Mm-mm.

Corey Haines (16:45)
God, I love

Birkenstocks. Dude.

Zach Stevens (16:46)
Mm-mm. No. Mm-mm.

Nick Loudon (16:48)
It's crazy that

you're not a man. That's so weird.

Corey Haines (16:52)
what you were you were thongs in between your toes like that's not gay

Nick Loudon (16:57)
I don't

wear sandals, I wear shoes.

Corey Haines (17:00)
You prefer thongs

on your feet. Is that what you prefer?

Nick Loudon (17:03)
Anywhere, yeah. Anywhere you can put them. Yeah, I like thongs.

Zach Stevens (17:10)
I can't do the Berks.

Corey Haines (17:10)
I

prefer men's sandals, which are Birkenstocks.

Nick Loudon (17:16)
I think boys wear sandals. about that? Men wear shoes.

Zach Stevens (17:17)
Dude.

I wear, dude, I love wearing flip flops. I don't care.

Nick Loudon (17:23)
Okay,

I'm the only man in this company.

Corey Haines (17:25)
Bro, tell

Zach Stevens (17:27)
You wear your shoes to

Corey Haines (17:27)
that to the Native Americans and Aborigines.

Zach Stevens (17:31)
the beach?

Nick Loudon (17:33)
I do sometimes. Sometimes I'll just like put my shoes on. I do have flip-flops. I own a pair of flip-flops, but I probably wear them like...

Corey Haines (17:33)
Yeah, right.

Zach Stevens (17:36)
Okay.

Nick Loudon (17:43)
I would say under 10 times a year.

Zach Stevens (17:47)
I wear my, when it's summertime, I wear my flip flops. When I'm like, if I'm to go somewhere and it's going to be, it's a chill event, I'm wearing my flip flops, dude.

Nick Loudon (17:55)
Well, we can all agree, birkenstocks is a no, Corey likes them.

Corey Haines (17:55)
Good?

Zach Stevens (18:00)
No birkenstocks enough.

Corey Haines (18:03)
Burke's in the chat

if you're with me, everybody.

Nick Loudon (18:06)
Burks up. Yeah, I don't know. just I can't get behind it. I'm surprised you don't have more options, Corey, of things that you are you just you're just a man of the people just agree with everything.

Corey Haines (18:08)
broke life.

I

I feel like in real life I'm very

divisive, but apparently I can't find anything controversial.

Nick Loudon (18:21)
Show us.

Show us how divisive you are.

Zach Stevens (18:25)
I think that's it.

Nick Loudon (18:26)
Great answers. Good job. Okay, that's it.
