What is Gospel Portions?

Reminders of the gospel that was preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, that you may hold fast to the word preached to you.

Ryan Bush:

Almighty and most merciful father, we have erred and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much of the devices and desires of our hearts. We have offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done, and there is no health in us. But thou, oh Lord, have mercy upon us miserable offenders. Spare thou them, oh God, which confess their faults. Restore thou them that are penitent according to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, oh most merciful father, for his sake that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life to the glory of thy holy name. Amen. Book of Common Prayer.

Ryan Bush:

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30.
