Can you believe we made it? We made it. To episode two. And I have a goal of 21. So they say, the people that know, I look at stats, that 1% is the number that make it past 21. So we are.

Kayla (00:32)
Can you believe we made it? We made it. To episode two. Yeah. I have a goal of twenty one. Okay. So they say, the people that know, I look at stats, that one percent is the number that make it past twenty one. Yeah. So we are

Angel (00:47)
One, two, a few more to go, nineteen more to go. I believe we can do it. I think we got a lot of things to say and why do we have so much to say?

Kayla (00:47)
One, two, three, a few more to go. Nineteen more to go. Yes. I believe we can do it. I think we've got a lot of things to say and why do we have so much to say?

Angel (00:57)
man, I think we've you know, we've been married fourteen years and I think in these fourteen years really we have gone through so much. and so where we left off yesterday was finding hitting a wall of

Kayla (00:56)
to say? man, I think we've you know, we've been married fourteen years and I think in these fourteen years really we have gone through so much. and so where we left off yesterday was finding hitting a wall of

realizing, man, this eight to five job

Angel (01:10)
Realizing man this eight to five job

Kayla (01:13)
and buying a house like

Angel (01:13)
And buying a house, like

this is gonna kill us. Well,

Kayla (01:15)
This is gonna kill us. And

Angel (01:17)
we were it's not so much top, but it's kinda like an un unspoken truth that you have to have a house and you have to have a nice car. And you and there's certain expectations and so you kinda just you fall into that that

Kayla (01:17)
we were it's not so much taught, but it's kinda like an un unspoken truth. Like you have to have a house. Yeah. You have to have a nice house. It's certain expectations. Certain expectations. And so you kinda just you fall into that that

Angel (01:31)
that chase, that race, and that becomes that rat

Kayla (01:31)
that chase, that race, and that becomes that rap.

Angel (01:34)
race everyone talks about where it's you're running so fast and going nowhere. And we got tired of it. I definitely got tired of it.

Kayla (01:35)
Everyone talks about where it's you're running so fast and going nowhere. Yeah. We got tired of it. Yeah. I definitely got tired of it.

And we started swinging for different things. Yeah. Today we're gonna talk about one of the ones that finally hit. Yes. But

Angel (01:43)
And we started swinging for different things. And today we're gonna talk about one of the ones that finally hit. Yes. But

when we finally hit, what ended up happening was you and I had to learn how to work together. Yeah. Because it's one thing when I'm scrubbing one toilet and you're scrubbing, you know, the kitchen counter down. But when we're s stuck working next to each other and I

Kayla (01:51)
when we finally hit yeah, what ended up happening was you and I had to learn how to work together. Yeah, definitely. It's one thing when I'm scrubbing one toilet and you're scrubbing, you know, the kitchen counter down. Yeah. But when we're s stuck working next to each other and I

That's not as bad. We're stuck working next together. But when you're really like if you really want to know somebody, right. Absolutely. You're gonna find out how quickly they get annoyed. Yeah. How quickly you annoy them or they're annoy you. And can I just say too that even in this we're having to learn each other's dynamic on and how we communicate. And it's already

Angel (02:09)
That's not a bad. We're stuck working next to each other. But when you're really like if you really want to know somebody, pick up a shift next to them. Absolutely. You're gonna find out how quickly they get annoyed, how quickly you annoy them or they're annoy And can I just say too learn each other's dynamic as and how communicate and it's our

Kayla (02:30)
kind of been a challenge, but it's fun, but it's it's a different type of learning how to communicate.

Angel (02:32)
But it's it's a different type of to communicate.

Because you have to. I think like

Kayla (02:36)
Because you have to. Yeah. I think like

Angel (02:38)
that's one of the biggest things that

Kayla (02:38)
That's one of the biggest things that

Angel (02:41)
when you're dating, it just seems like you know, in in today's age you can express yourself a lot with emojis. But in your house, like I know what emoji I wanna send you all the time but just to have a real conversation you you have to use words and the words have to be understood.

Kayla (02:42)
just seems like you know in in today's age you can express yourself a lot with emojis. Yeah. But in your house, like I know what emoji I want to send you all the time. But but just to have a real conversation, yeah you you have to use words. Yes. And the words have to be understood. And

Angel (03:02)
And there he is. He's there. He won't pick up. Ethan's in the live audience today. But

Kayla (03:03)
there he is. Okay. He's there. He won't care. He might but

Angel (03:10)
the words have to be the words have to be spoken

Kayla (03:10)
The words have to be the words have to be s spoken

Angel (03:15)
and then I have to really understand that you understand what I'm trying to tell you in the way that I think you understand what I'm trying to tell you. Try

Kayla (03:15)
and then I have to really understand that you understand what I'm trying to tell you in the way that I think you understand what I'm trying to tell you. Yeah.

Angel (03:22)
to understand that. And and there you go, marriage one one. Try to understand what communication

Kayla (03:22)
Try understand that. Yeah. And and there you go. Marriage one on one. Try to understand what communication

Angel (03:27)
style your spouse is communicating to you in the way that she feels or he feels that you understood what words were coming out of your mouth. Wow, that was a lot. Just saying that that was a lot, okay.

Kayla (03:27)
style your spouse is communicating to you in the way that she feels or he feels that you understood. Right. Just saying that that was a lie.

Angel (03:40)
No, it really working on that. We're still working on that. We're yeah and that that's what I'm saying. Like I think we have learned in the past I think we started

Kayla (03:40)
No, it really was. but yeah. And we're still working on that. And we're still working on that. We're yeah, and that's that that's what I'm saying. Like I think w you we have learned in the past, gosh, I think we started

Angel (03:51)
our business four years now. Four years. And so of the one that hit of the one that hit.

Kayla (03:51)
our actual like business four years now. And so the one that hit. Of the one that hit.

Right. I last episode we talked about how we did everything under the sun. And finally the one that hit was us starting our first Airbnb. And it was really fun at first. And then as we got deeper and deeper, it was like,

Angel (03:57)
So we talked about how we did everything and finally the one that hit was us starting our first Airbnb and it was really fun at first. Yes. And then as we got deeper and deeper it was like,

Kayla (04:10)
this isn't so fun and I don't like you today because

Angel (04:10)
This isn't so fun and I don't like you today because

Kayla (04:15)
We're starting to feel the the pressure and the stress of business and you know, and sometimes whenever you are working a nine to five job, that is the that's the beauty of you clock out and you leave it here and here it's the owner has to of it. That's right. But here it's clocking out and I just gotta come home d like we're we're still together. So it's really like

Angel (04:15)
we're starting to feel the the pressure and the stress of business and you know, and sometimes whenever you are working a nine to five job, that is the that's the beauty of you clock out you clock out and the owner has to handle the rest of it. You're done. It's clocking out and I just gotta come home like we're gonna go together. So it's really like

Kayla (04:36)
we've had to learn. So, yeah, so back in twenty twenty one, right? We we're living paycheck to but we're just saying we're living paycheck to paycheck. Yeah.

Angel (04:36)
We've had to learn. So, yeah, so back in twenty twenty one, right? Yep. We were living paycheck we already said we were living paycheck to paycheck

Kayla (04:46)
And being negative money. Yes. COVID, COVID. I think COVID

Angel (04:46)
and being negative every month. Yes. COVID, COVID, I think

Kayla (04:52)
affected a lot of people, but for us it was And we're still cleaning. Yeah. Cov COVID shut down well, no, it wasn't a little bit of COVID, a little bit of other things shut down your company that you had been at for ten years. So pushed you to another job. And great, you know, it was a it was

Angel (04:52)
And we're still cleaning. Yeah. And so COVID shut down well, no, it wasn't a little bit of COVID, a little bit of other things shut down your company that you had been at for ten years. So pushed you to another job. And great, you know, it was a it

was a blessing at the time for us, but it was still one of those, like, man, there's more. and so kind of a just a little backstory how we fell into it was my

Kayla (05:08)
a blessing at the time for us. But it was still one of those like, man, there's more. There there should be more. and so kind of a just a little backstory of how we fell into it was my

mom has a cleaning business and she kept getting these phone calls for cleaning Airbnbs. And you know, she had been telling us like you know, you guys should Yeah, you you guys should do this. It'll be fun. You guys 'cause she already knew we were a little interested in real estate at the time. And, you know, we're just like,

Angel (05:20)
And she kept getting these phone calls for cleaning Airbnbs. And you know, she'd been telling us, like, This is what you guys should do. You guys should do this, it'll be fun. You guys, because she already knew we were a little interested in real estate at the time, and you know, we were just like, nah, nobody

Kayla (05:37)
Nobody comes to Amberly. Who comes to Amarillo? Amarillo, Texas. Right. And and so she kept calling me, Kayla, you know,

Angel (05:37)
nobody comes to our market of Amarillo. Who in the world is coming through Amarillo, Texas? Right, and and so she kept calling me, Kayla, you know.

Kayla (05:48)
you and Angel should do this and you know, Airbnb, and we're just like

Angel (05:49)
should do this and you know, Airbnb and we're just like,

No mom, no, you know

Kayla (05:52)
No mom, no, you know.

and then I think she got invited to a birthday party where they had it at a at an Airbnb. She was like, my gosh, I got invited, this Airbnb, this, and so it kept, you know, I I think for a year she was telling me this. And so what my mom did, and I'm so appreciative of it now, you know, I think I think there are moments where parents can be too much in the business, but I am very appreciative that my mom was this in in that moment.

Angel (05:55)
And then I think she got invited to a birthday party when they had it at an Airbnb. She's my gosh, I got invited this Airbnb, this and so it kept you know, I I think for a year she was telling me this. So what my mom did and I'm so appreciative of it now, you know, I think s I think there are moments where parents can be too much in the business, but I am very appreciative that was this in in that moment. Well, what she saw

in us was our interest in business, of course, our interest your interest and

Kayla (06:22)
Business of course. Our interest your interest in

decorations and Airbnb is all about

Angel (06:25)
decorations and Airbnb is all about you gotta attract

the moms, the wives, and the girlfriends. And you have always had an amazing eye for design. You've always had an amazing eye for like making it fun

Kayla (06:30)
Right. And you have always had an amazing eye for design. Thank you. You've always had an amazing eye for like making it fun.

Angel (06:38)
with the resources that you have. And so she knew you could. This was something that she saw in both of us and so she kept pushing it. But it wouldn't happen until we got tired of being tired.

Kayla (06:38)
With the resources that you have. Right. And so she knew you could. Yeah. This was something that she saw in both of us and so she kept pushing it. Yeah. But it wouldn't happen until we got tired of being tired. Yeah.

So she had gotten the contact of the guy that she was cleaning Airbnbs for and she like sent it to me. She was like, Here, just calm and I and like like you said, I think we got to a point where like we're tired of being tired. We're tired of living in the negative. We're tired, you know, now we have

Angel (06:52)
So she had gotten the contact of the guy that she was cleaning Airbnbs for and she'd like sent it to me, she like, Here, just calm. And I and like like you said, I think we got to a point where like, we're tired of being tired, we're tired of living in the negative, we're tired, you know, now we have

Kayla (07:07)
a son in the picture who we need to provide for. and so called this guy one day we're like random random guy. And my mom was like, it's just a little

Angel (07:07)
a son in the picture who we need to provide for. and so called this guy one day or like Random guy. Yeah, because and my mom was like, It's just a little how

Kayla (07:17)
house. There's nothing fancy about this house. Like Yeah, she's like, I keep getting calls and and so she we called this guy one day. We're like, hey, got your contact.

Angel (07:18)
nothing fancy about this house like but she's going she was going back and back she's like gonna keep getting calls and and so she c we called this guy one day we're like, Hey, got your contact

Kayla (07:28)
How's the Airbnb market out here? And he was like, I'm booked every day. And we were just

Angel (07:28)
How's the Airbnb market out here? And he's like, I'm booked every day. Yeah.

Kayla (07:32)
like, what?

Angel (07:33)
And he says, I'm booked every day and I think for that that's kind of where just a will start a turning.

Kayla (07:33)
And he says, I'm booked every day. And I think for that, that's kind of where just our will started turning. And

Angel (07:41)
And listen, one thing you will find with us as as you learn is we are not afraid of anything. Like we Once it clicks. Once it I mean, once it clicks, we have done some really dumb things and I think that's what makes us very compatible.

Kayla (07:42)
and listen, one thing you will find with us as as you learn is we are not afraid of anything. Like we have dumb once it I mean, once it clicks, we have done some really dumb things. And I think that's what makes us very compatible.

is that we go with the flow with each other. It's like,

Angel (07:56)
that we go with the flow with each other, it's like,

hey, you never know until you try. And I think this was one of those moments it's like, we have nothing to lose. Yeah. You know, you had moved us into this duplex and we had a tenant living on the other side at the time. And so we said, Alright, well

Kayla (07:59)
Hey, you never know until you try. And I think this was one of those moments it's like we have nothing to lose. So you know, you had moved us into this duplex and we had a tenant living on the other side at the time. And so we said, All right, well

let's try take some pictures on our phone.

Angel (08:14)
Let's try it. We

Kayla (08:16)
We took that iPhone eight. Yeah. And

Angel (08:16)
took that iPhone eight. Yeah. And

we I mean nothing fancy. I don't even think we put a filter on. I took We knew nothing about snap, snap, snap, snap posts. Yeah.

Kayla (08:23)
We knew nothing about Airbnb. Nothing. Yeah,

we were like, listen, if we get booked for a weekend, a day or two, we'll go stay at my mom's. We'll just you know, and and at this you you Right. It it's like like you said earlier, when you get tired of being tired and at this point we had two boys and

Angel (08:31)
It's extra something. It's something mom's You know and You know we're desperate. If we're going I'm gonna stay with I'm gonna stay with mom. It's like like you said earlier, when you get tired of being tired and at this point we have two boys and

Kayla (08:47)
a newborn and so we listed it.

Angel (08:50)
Twenty-four hours. Twenty-four hours. We had two Two reservations. For the weekends. In forty-eight

Kayla (08:52)

Kayla (09:09)
The home alone. We go into the home alone sequel where it's like

throw everything into the closets. Yeah. Hide all of our stuff all of our colours. We're like, man, we didn't think it was gonna be this serious as fast. We swapped out all the locks, we swapped we took you know the drunk drawers? Yeah. We had a so many drunk drawers, you which ones are in your house. We had to like bag pieces up and it was crazy. And but one weekend of of that of Airbnb in our market

Angel (09:12)
Throw everything into the closets, hide all of our stuff, take down all of our family photos. We didn't think it was gonna be this serious as that. We swapped out all the locks, we swapped we took y er you know the drunk drawers? We had a l so many drunk drawers, you know which ones are in your house. We had to like b bag things up and it was crazy. And but one weekend of of that of Airbnb in our market

was more than I was getting in a week.

Kayla (09:37)
was more than I was given in a

week. Right. And that's when it really clicked. And we're still cleaning offices at this point. So it's just like, okay, this kind of took off. This is cool, you know, and so we were getting these reservations and, you know, at that point you were like, Maybe I should like research that's when I went a little bit. And Yeah. Once I went into research is Which you've always been great at by the way. Like

Angel (09:40)
And that's when it really clicked. When it was like And we're still cleaning offices. And we're still cleaning offices. This is cool, and so we were getting these reservations and you know, at that point you were I should like research That's when I went into research mode and once I went into research mode, which is always been way. Like

Thank you. You you've been very good at just researching to get our family further. I am a hundred percent

Kayla (10:03)
You've you've been very good at just researching to get our family further. I am a hundred

percent not a researcher, but I appreciate that you are. I I s somebody has done it. Yeah. There's there's a there's an instruction manual somewhere and I'm gonna find it. And there's a tips and tricks and YouTube university was it back then and I started bombarding local hosts. Mm-hmm. Yes. To like, hey

Angel (10:10)
I appreciate that you are. I I s somebody has done it. There's there's a there's an instruction manual somewhere and I'm gonna find it. And there's the tips and tricks and YouTube university was it back then and I started bombarding local host to like, hey,

I'm not wanting to book your house, but you will you come have coffee with me so I can pick your brain? And I think what what today what today's episode really is what I want you to

Kayla (10:27)
I'm not wanting to book your house. Will you come have coffee with me so I can pick your brain? Yes. And I think what what today what today's episode really is, what I want you to

pick up, friends and family that are listening, is you gotta go for it. Go for it. You have to go for it. You have to just

Angel (10:36)
Pick up friends and family that are listening is you gotta go Go for it. You have to go for it. You have to just

swing and swing. I mean, we've told you about all our misses, and when I say misses, I mean actual failures. And and there's a lot, but

Kayla (10:46)
Swing and swing. I mean we've told you about all our misses and when I say misses I mean actual failures. Right. And and 'cause there's a lot. There's a lot, but

Angel (10:56)
you don't know. I think people get stuck on what people will call analysis paralysis.

Kayla (10:56)
You don't know, I think people get stuck on what people will call analysis paralysis. Mm-hmm.

There are people that would just get stuck on analyzing the same problem over and over. Right. And coming up with a hundred different solutions. And they're all what ifs. Yeah. And you can't even check one off until you say like that ain't work. Right. You can't until you until you go and actually walk the steps that it takes to get to

Angel (11:02)
There are people that would just get stuck on analyzing the same problem over and over and coming up with a hundred different solutions and they're all what ifs and you can't even check one off until you say like that ain't work. Right. You can't until you until you go and actually walk the steps that it takes to get to it might. It might work. It might work. And

I you know, I I love the book that Jose Meyer wrote to it.

Kayla (11:21)
It might. Right. It might work. It might work. And I you know, I I

love the book that Joyce Meyer wrote, Do It Afraid, because that was one thing that in that mo in that season she had released that book and it was like just do it afraid, you know. What if you fell? Yeah.

Angel (11:27)
Because that was one thing that in that mo in that season she had released that book and it was like just do it afraid. You know? What if you fell? Yeah.

Kayla (11:37)
But what if you're successful? And I think that's how we kind of viewed every business venture that we had taken to this point because everything that from that moment, like Amazon, the picnic business, and it was always some kind of investment we were putting in. And so yes, we were losing money and with with we were we were losing money. And, you know, then we'd have all these things that we had purchased and what do we do with it now? and I think with this one, it was just like

Angel (11:37)
But what if you're successful? And I think that's how we kind of viewed every business venture that we have taken to this point because everything that from that moment, like Amazon, the picnic business and it was always some kind of investment we were putting in. And so yes, we were losing money and with Wow, we're losing a lot of money we were losing money. And, you know, then we'd have all these things that we had purchased and what do we do with it now? and I think with this one it was just like

Kayla (12:04)
we tried it all.

Angel (12:05)
We tried it all.

What if it works? What if it doesn't? And you know, I'll never forget just like we like, okay, let's let's just try it. We'll lock up everything like you said. And I remember being like, Someone's gonna be my house. yeah, you do have to. This is weird, this is again, this is our story and this is what what it you know, but it was for us and for anyone who was in a season of I'm tired of being tired. There are moments that

Kayla (12:05)
What if it works? What if it doesn't? And you know, I'll never forget just like we're like, okay, let's let's just try it. We'll lock up everything you like you said. And I remember being like, Someone's gonna be in my house. This is weird. This is weird. This is again, this is our story and this is what what it you know, but it was for us and for anyone who was in a season of I'm tired of being tired. There are moments that

you just gotta be uncomfortable.

Angel (12:34)
You just gotta be uncomfortable. Yes, you have to be okay with being uncomfortable. You have

Kayla (12:35)
Yes, you have to be okay with being uncomfortable.

Angel (12:39)
to be okay with being uncomfortable. You have to be okay. I think that change hurts. Change is hard, change is so uncomfortable all around, but you get okay with with being stretched. Get okay with being just in unfamiliar territory. And I think

Kayla (12:43)
Change hurts. Change is hard. Change is so uncomfortable all around. But you get okay with being stretched. Be o get okay with being stretched. Right. And I think that's

Angel (12:59)
that's

Kayla (12:59)
that's just where the Lord has been in our entire marriage, our our business, our life, is he always makes us so uncomfortable when he

Angel (12:59)
That's just where the Lord has been in our entire marriage, our our business, our life. Yes. He always makes us so uncomfortable when he

Kayla (13:12)
is about to do something when he's a when he's trying to do something and we are about to step into a a a a higher season, a different season in our life. And so yeah, for for anyone just just watching, it's

Angel (13:12)
is about to do something. When he's trying to do something. When he's trying to do something. Yeah. And we are about to step into a a a a higher season, a different season of our life. And for yeah, for I'm just just watching, it's

Kayla (13:26)
when you are being stretched, it is never comfortable.

Angel (13:26)
When you are

being stretched, it is never comfortable. No. I think I think Abraham gets a lot of credit for taking taking a lot of these steps. Yeah. He so he's take God tells him to go.

Kayla (13:38)
I was thinking about his story today.

Angel (13:42)
Doesn't tell him where. Doesn't tell him what the plan is. He just says go and to the land that I'm going to show you. Like one day I'm gonna sh talk to you about it. Right now I just want you to go. And he gets all this credit. Right.

Kayla (13:44)
And to the land that I'm going to show you. Like one day I'm gonna sh talk to you about it. Right now I just want you to go. And he gets all this credit. Right.

Okay? So shout out to Abraham for having faith in God and and and taking the steps. But they don't talk about his wife. That's so good. They don't talk about how like he has to I've had

Angel (13:54)
Okay, so shout out to Abraham for having faith in God and and and taking the steps. But they don't talk about his wife. They don't talk about how so like because I've had how

many meetings have I had with you where I'm like, Okay, babe, so so I'm just gonna use my face. I'm just like But I I do I have to look past it. So I have to prepare I have to give you this entire game plan and hope. But again this is

Kayla (14:10)
Right. Okay, babe. So and I I'm sure you've gotten used to my face. I'm just like I I do have to So I have to prepare I have to give you this entire game plan. Yeah. And hopefully But again, this

is all years of now communicating because at first he's like, We're doing this and I'm just like, No. Yeah.

Angel (14:25)
Yes. Well having to learn we're doing that so we're like Yes.

how to learn how to present something in a way that you can there gosh, what a what a gem right there. I have to learn how to give you information in a way that you can receive it and not just fully shut me down from the get. And but I want I'm giving Sarah credit because she she went for it. She went along

Kayla (14:42)
She went for it.

Angel (14:45)
with it. She supported her husband and I I can't claim that

you know, you gave me credit for all the research, but if you're not alongside with me, if you're not right there helping me, you know, push this ball along, like we're not we're not moving. So th I wanna thank you for that. You know, just I I can't do all of this that we do to this day without without your push, your love, support, your your belief in me. And I don't take it lightly, so we

Kayla (14:58)
Yeah. So I wanna thank you for that. Thank you. You know, just I I can't do all of this that we do to this day without without your push, your love, support, your your belief in me and I don't take it lightly. So thank you. We

wanna challenge what what is our challenge for everyone today?

Angel (15:15)
Wanna challenge? What what is our challenge for everyone today?

Kayla (15:19)
Our challenge is whatever has been on your heart.

Angel (15:22)
bit on your heart.

Okay. If you know that it's gonna be uncomfortable. Whatever it is. I mean this is for us our business. just you know, if you know it's gonna be uncomfortable, if you know it's gonna stretch you, if you know it's gonna challenge you. It may hurt a little bit too. Yeah. It may hurt.

Kayla (15:23)
If you know that it's gonna be uncomfortable, whatever it is. This is for us our business. just you know, if you know it's gonna be uncomfortable, if you know it's gonna stretch you, if you know it's gonna challenge you, it may hurt a little bit too. Yeah. It may hurt.

Just do it. Do it afraid. And let and and to to let you know that the Lord is with you. Yes. He's with you. And just just like he was with us, just like he was with Abraham, he just gave him the you need to go here. Yes. And Abraham went in obedience.

Angel (15:37)
Do it. Today's a day. And let and answer to let you know that the Lord is with you. Yes. He's with you. And just just like he was with us, just like you was with Abraham. Yes. You just gave

Kayla (15:51)
And so if the Lord has been pressing in s on something for you to do, just do it in obedience. And you'll see how God is with you.

Angel (15:51)
him the we need to go here. Yes. And Abraham went in obedience. And so the Lord has been pressing on something for you

Kayla (16:00)
Yeah. I think so if I if I brought our boys in here and I asked them this question, I said, What what do us what do we as Mendoza Mendozas do? Yeah. They would say, We do hard things. Yeah. That's true. We hard things. We do hard things. And we don't run away from hard things. Right. And we'll get

Angel (16:00)
to do. Just do it in obedience. I think so. If if I brought our boys in here and I asked them this question, I said, What what do us what do we as Mendoza

Mendoza do they would say we do hard things. That's true. We do hard things and we don't run away from hard things. And we'll get

we'll talk about what that means. We don't run away from hard conversations now. We don't run away from hard workouts. We don't run away from hard business decisions. We don't run away from hard visions that God has given us. We do hard things.

Kayla (16:21)
We'll talk about what that means. We don't run away from hard conversations now. Right. We don't run away from hard workouts. We don't run away from hard business decisions. Right. We don't run away from hard visions that God has given us. Right. We do hard things. We

do hard things. And God's with us. Yeah. And that's something we've had to learn is doing the hard thing. No, we didn't start there. But if you want to skip it, all having learned the lesson.

Angel (16:35)
And God's with us And that's something we've got to learn. We didn't start there. Yeah, we didn't start there. But if you want to skip it, all having to learn the lesson,

just say to yourself, I'm going to do this hard thing. It's been in my heart already. I've put it off. And we keep asking the Lord, what's the next step? What's the next step? What's the game plan? He He's giving you step one. Take step one, no matter how hard it is.

Kayla (16:46)
Say to yourself, I'm going to do this hard thing. Yeah. It's been in my heart already. I've put it off. And we keep asking the Lord, what's the next step? What's the next step? What's the game plan? He's giving you step one. Right. Take step one. No matter how hard it is.

Yeah.

Angel (17:01)
So good luck presenting it to your wife too. So I think

Kayla (17:05)
Yes. So I think

we can end with that. Just

Angel (17:08)
Yeah.

Kayla (17:08)
a prayer over anyone that is going through just a a battle within themselves because to step out a new job. And they just

Angel (17:15)
themselves. Yes, because because you said it, it's in their heart. It's in their heart already. And they just

Kayla (17:22)
Yeah.

Angel (17:22)
have been too afraid to take the first the first step. Stepping into ministry again if you've stepped out of ministry. Yep. I think that's that's we talked a lot about communication, so I want to throw this one out

Kayla (17:23)
Right. A new job, stepping into ministry. Stepping into ministry again if you've stepped out of ministry. I think that's that's something.

Angel (17:34)
there. Having a hard conversation with your wife.

Kayla (17:36)
Mm.

Angel (17:40)
we'll we'll get there on how to navigate that, but you know, you need

If it's been in your heart, even avoiding that hard conversation. Have the hard conversation.

Kayla (17:43)
It's been in your heart. Yeah. You've been avoiding that hard conversation. Yes. Have the hard conversation. Have the hard conversation.

Angel (17:49)
And you're gonna come and find out like, you didn't die. So I think the the the prayer should be today is just for those who are afraid. Yeah, the courage. Yep.

Kayla (17:53)
He's still here, everyone. Yeah, so I think the the the prayer should be today is just for those who are afraid and the courage. Okay. So Go

ahead.

Angel (18:05)
Okay. Lord, I thank you, God, because

Kayla (18:06)
Lord. I thank you God because

Angel (18:09)
We do not do anything in this world alone. In the highs and the lows, in every season, you are with us. And you have been so intentional to speak to us and and plant a word, a promise into our hearts and into our minds. And I believe, my God, that my brothers and sisters already today have one step, one direction where you've been leading them. So, Father, today I pray for boldness. I play, I pray for courage.

Kayla (18:27)
one step one direction where you've been leading them so father today I pray for boldness I play I pray for courage

I pray father for just the the body to submit to not wanting to do this hard thing

Angel (18:35)
I pray, Father, for just the the body to submit to not wanting to do this hard thing.

We always we always trust that you are going to be with us. We always trust and know that you have not abandoned us. So, Father, as we, as my brothers and sisters, take this first step, be with them. Guide them, shield them.

Give them the resources, give them the the vision, give them the ability to just take one put one foot in front of the other, my God. I thank you because we're gonna hear of how this first hard decision that a person did, a family did, a marriage did, produced a a a harvest, produced a a new a new family legacy, produced, my lord, a new marriage. And we give you all the glory for it, God. In your mighty name we pray. Amen.

Kayla (19:03)
Thank you because we're gonna hear of how this first hard decision that a person did, a family did, a marriage did, produced a a a harvest, produced a a new a new family legacy, produced, my lord, a new marriage.
