3400 data centers have already been announced so most likely somewhere in your vicinity you've got
one of these toxic polluting things on its way. Metaphorically we are launching planes that are
still being built and we are forced to pilot them and we don't know how to fly. People who say
having data centers next door is affecting their health. Nearly 50,000 Lake Tahoe residents
are being told to find a new power provider because the grid is being rerouted for AI data
centers. Let that sink in. The point of AI is just the spending of it. Do we really need all this
right? So are we just already trying to find ways to launder money or are we trying to make a digital
grid prison for us? What do I mean by that? Quantum bombs. Welcome to Quantum Bombs,
a commentary show on the human condition through metaphysics and freedom. Do we,
the people, have any freedom as we live through this perfectly boxed Aaron Brockovich movie that
we are finding ourselves in? It's all about the data centers. You're hearing it in the news,
but why? I want to give you a clear 500 foot view of the madness of things that you really can't.
It's hard to wrap your brain around and I'm going to try to make it kind of crystal clear for us.
A few weeks ago, I made an episode, AI can't afford itself. Please go and watch it. It was
actually a financial review of our four most likely outcomes that we have of AI. It was as many
outcomes as I could think of with a wild card thrown in and it's from a financial analysis,
okay? And I remember just briefly going over the Costco size buildings as I joke. So they're much
larger than we're thinking. They're actually three times the size of Manhattan. It's kind of hard
to conceive. They're thousands of acres. So we've got to think city sized data centers going up,
popping up all around the United States in people's backyards. This is a not in my backyard
argument and I've actually traveled the world enough where I found myself on a tour.
This was not the tour's intention, but I found the original NIMBY, the not in my backyard,
backyard. So if you stay with me till the end, I will show you the video of the very original
real, not my backyard argument and it's totally worth it because it is a beautiful backyard. Okay,
so let's jump right into it. So we need to talk about how many data centers there are because
that's kind of why it's popping up in the news because we are people speckled throughout the
United States and all of a sudden this invasive plague of data centers is hitting us. So how many
are there to understand and have this conversation? We have to know the difference between old and
new data centers. So I've got an image to inspire us of an old data center versus a new one, right?
They're massive. They're huge. They're drawing a lot of power. Okay, so the old data centers guys,
let's go back in the day when the cloud, we started putting things in the internet.
Those were drawing 20 megawatts and we talk about electricity needs like we talk about
speed limits. It's in the moment, in the second. So this whole time when we're blowing your mind
about these data centers, think every second. So 20 megawatts per second is being drawn from these
old data centers and these are the ones we're friendly with. Those are those little small guys.
Then we pop up to the medium sized ones. This is Netflix needing to store its cloud storage for all
of its greatness that it gives us every night. Those are roughly around 500 megawatts. Okay,
so we're still in megawatts notice, but now we're going to the third part, the one we're seeing now.
These are our AI data centers, quite different on how they operate. They're not even data centers.
They're ECBs, electric conversion buildings because all they do is take energy and turn it into heat.
Energy to heat, energy to heat. That's like literally all they're doing. If an aliens were
to look down upon us and they're like, they put up these, these metal buildings everywhere and all
they're doing is like creating, taking and creating heat and the heat's like changing everything.
And we're like, how much heat? Enough heat will get to this facts later, but I believe it's like,
okay, I looked my fact up. It's extreme cases of 16 degrees Fahrenheit,
hotter for a range of up to six miles. So how many watts are these new data centers using?
Oh, they're, we're not, we're out of megawatts now. We've graduated into gigawatts. You need 1000
megawatts to get to a gigawatt. So most of these new AI data centers are one gigawatt. However,
the famous one you've heard of this week in the news is the Stratto or something, the one coming
up by Mr. Wonderful in Utah. The Canadian investor who has forced himself into the state of Utah,
they're building a nine gigawatt data center there. To put this into perspective, they had a
physics professor calculate the heat that this Utah data center would be putting in
to, to kind of help us understand it. The Hiroshima atomic bomb released roughly 63
terajoules of energy. So a single one gigabyte data center dumps 1.4 Hiroshima bombs worth of
energy heat into the local environment every day. So we need to scale up to nine gigs.
Nine gigs for Stratus in Utah would be 12 Hiroshima bombs of waste heat per day. The proposed
Utah nine gigawatt center would raise Utah's entire state emission by 50%. To put that in
the perspective of how much energy it is, you could say you could take all of New York, all of the
energy spent in New York, the state, and all of Los Angeles combined per second. It's spending
that much energy per second 24 seven. You could take the state of Texas, it'd be like 80% of all
of the state of Texas. That's how much energy it's outputting in one second. So obviously our
grid systems are not built for this. So we're going to kind of get into the metrics of how
that's going to work. Yes, everything really is bigger in Texas. This is Project Matador. This
will be the largest data center in the entire world. I'll tell you how much power is used,
17 gigawatts, okay, and requires more power than the whole country of New Zealand two and a half
time. Let's get back to my pictures here. So just how many data centers are going up right now that
are like this massive over one gigawatt spend? 3,400 data centers have already been announced.
Trump signed an executive order in July 2025 that fast tracks the construction of these data centers,
military bases and nuclear sites, cutting environmental reviews all under the banner of
national security. Ask yourself, do you really think they need 3,400 data centers so you can
have the freedom to play with AI and make AI cat videos? It's in the executive order national
security, not yours. There's something like a surveillance state. Most likely somewhere in
your vicinity, you've got one of these toxic polluting things on its way. 781 are currently
right now as we speak as I'm live recording this are being under construction. Georgia Power is going
to expand these lines to support power to the data center. What they're doing to homeowners is they're
taking their homes. This is my childhood home behind me. It is being taken by force by Georgia Power.
Homeowners in this county do not have a choice. It is called eminent domain and they will take it.
Let's go back a little bit to our OG original data centers, the medium-sized ones, the one
I gave you an example for Netflix. Currently, we have roughly almost 400 in Virginia, almost 300
in Texas, near 300 in California, 166 in Ohio, and 148 in New York. What we have planned coming,
the big AI data centers, the ones we're talking about, Virginia. I mean, let's just call Virginia
the queen or king now of data centers, poor Virginia. There's nowhere else in the world with
a higher density of data centers than here in Loudoun County, Virginia. As much as a third of
the planet's internet traffic flows through the state of Virginia. 287 is coming to Virginia.
Another 170 coming to my home state of Texas. Georgia's coming in here at 141, Illinois,
123 in Arizona, 86. These are the top five guys, but I know that you're spread throughout and
you're hearing like, well, I heard about the Louisiana battle. I heard about the main battle.
Oh, speaking of Maine, to put the perspective of energy and perspective further for you,
and this is going to be dipped in the butt at the end of the episode,
part of the main issue of the problem, cities and zoning commissioners and all this. We have
zoning rules, a threshold of how much your own personal home or commercial building can use.
There's thresholds. There's legislation around it. It stops at 20 megawatts. So here we are,
the stratosphere to put it in perspective is 450 times over what we're used to having a threshold
for. So it's like, well, once you go over, you know, you kind of like got to get a committee
together and be like, well, how are we going to allow this building or, or this electrical grid?
You know, you're going to figure it out. Well, this is 450 times more likely. So how does it mess
with everyone in the area's electric bill? Oh, this is the biggest conversation that everyone
needs to be having. Okay, let's just do the first easy one. The first one is supply and demand.
Quite simply, when there is a demand for something, the cost of it goes up. So your energy prices
in that local area are now going to go up simply because there is a higher demand. Another
very easy to picture direct way of why your bill would go up, even though they say that your bill
won't go up is simply the infrastructure needed for these AI data centers. They're going to be
putting in massive amounts of equipment to bring energy to it. And therefore in the millions. And
so those costs are also passed on to the local community. The third obvious thing we need to
point out is a lot of these data centers are so large, obviously, they need to create their own
type of power structure, their own type of power addition to our grid. So they're going to be using
their own like nuclear power plants, which by the way, a nuclear reactor puts off one gig
per second and the strato is like nine. So it's definitely going to be creating its own
like what nine nuclear facilities to put up with it. So that's called behind the meter pricing,
which is they're adding infrastructure into your local community that only they can tap off of,
but but somehow still indirectly, the cost could be passed on to you. Now here's the funny one
that most people don't know about is that all of these states that are building like crazy are
offering tax incentives to the data centers, tax incentives in two ways. First, when they're
purchasing all the equipment to be put into these, these buildings, like let's say $30 million worth
of equipment, that's tax free. So the sales tax is being omitted. That's $30 million that won't
be going to your kids school. So it's not actually helping the community that the data center is
going into. And the other thing is that they're not taxed on the energy that they're buying anyways.
Right now, corporates are receiving fast approval tax incentives, limited review,
while residents are left to prove the damage after the fact at our own expense against billion
dollar companies. This research has become my part 10 job, 10 to 20 hours a week I have spent
since knowing it was a data center, trying to figure out what's happening to my land.
Oh, yes. And then let's go to, I think this would be our fifth discount they're going to be getting.
As you know, speaking of Costco, everything big in bulk is discounted. So they're buying massive
amounts of energy, and it's going to be discounted to them. And you will continue to pay your,
your peasant pricing peasant, keep paying peasant pricing as we put up as we send up your electric
bill. Okay, so I've hope we got that clear. It's definitely going to change your bill,
regardless of what they're saying. So what are these dang things doing with all the energy
that they're taking? 65% of it is actually for AI stuff that we talk about large language models,
AI agents, videos, avatars, and all the other future dystopic stuff coming our way.
30% of that is my ECB argument, energy conversion buildings. They're taking in
energy and converting it into heat. And 30% of it needs is going to the needs of cooling down.
The way they cool them down is like four or five different ways using water, fans, all kinds of,
but it creates a pollution that we'll get to here in a second. And then 5% is just natural bills,
utility bills. So certainly to bring this to everybody's communities, they've had to sell you
the benefits of these wonderful data centers. Well, they're not going to be sending taxes to
your community. They're going to be providing jobs. No, not really. Okay, yes, you have the
original construction. However, once they're gone, and you're left with these lovely polluting
beehive, demonic beehive sounding things, you have your skeleton crew. I've got a picture of
some skeletons around a bad looking data center. So I can remember what it is, but it's Walmart has,
every Walmart supposedly gives 300 jobs to the community. That's lovely. Thank you, Walmart.
A data center will bring you 10 to 50. And I would be willing to bet these are like heavily
guarded, weird military like buildings with proprietary information. So I don't even know
if the jobs would be local, but more so flown in from up above. Who knows? That's just my speculation.
Okay, so why the need for all the data centers right now, there's two angles I want to take.
First is the obvious guys, we're in an AI race, where it gets China and Russia, they're bad.
So we've got to beat them. Most people don't even realize though, the way China uses its AI is quite
different from the United States. 10 years ago, they had robots that would bring you water bottles
to your door at your hotel, they bring you your food, humanoid walking type robots. 10 years ago,
they also just passed a law that AI companies aren't allowed to fire a human and replace it with AI.
So is China bad? Are they going to beat us? We're in this nuclear arms race with AI.
I wanted to tell you how many data centers China is looking at as right now, as I speak,
they are over all of our oligarchs and tech best in Trump are in China as I speak. So today,
China has 368 data centers, about one tenth the amount of the United States. But they are way
bigger per facility. China has about 32 gigawatts of installed capacity, where right now we are only,
wow, running at about 25 to 30 gigawatts. So they're building much small, we'll see like less,
but smarter, you would say, because they have one tenth the amount of actual buildings, but still
putting out more energy. Okay, and our plans for the future us versus China, we've got it here,
the US is going to go from our 25 30 gigawatts right now into the 120 to 135 gigawatts by 2030.
So this is just within the next three and a half years. China by 2030 wants to be doubled at 60
gigawatts. So we still basically were aiming to have double the amount of capacity that China would
have. China is building slower than the US right now, and it mandates to use 80% renewable power
for the data centers. Big difference guys, while we are reliant on fossil fuels,
they're using nuclear, solar, wind, things like that. Oh, and another interesting take I remember,
I can't remember where I read this, is that 70% of China's new AI is for their surveillance state.
Oh, perfect segue, Beth, I promise I didn't plan that. But the next point I wanted to make is that
if you watch my prior episode, and I invite that you do because it's actually pretty good. I don't
normally wouldn't say that about my shows, but it's the four likely dystopic outcomes financially
with AI. And I'm not going to run it. So I'm just going to kind of like try to say it without giving
it away. But basically, as we know, technology always improves with time. So are we overbuilding?
Do we really need this? I mean, I guess I want to make the point right now is that
my suspicion is that the spending with AI, which is in the trillions, which is almost more,
I don't want to get into it on how much money's on the stock market, but it's a lot, it's in the
trillions. That the point of the AI product is not the product itself, but it's the spend, right?
The point of the military industrial complex was just to launder a bunch of money amongst the
world's billionaires, right? It's not really that we want to go to war with these third world
countries. So the point of AI is just the spending of it. Do we really need all this, right? So are
we just already trying to find ways to launder money? Or are we trying to make a digital grid
prison for us? What do I mean by that? Digital ID, digital grid, 15 minute city regarding where
you could drive, digital money, what you can and can't spend it on, and digital credit score.
Are you a good person or a bad person? Are you are you subservient to your government or not,
your tyrannical government? Meaning we've got a dystopic digital grid coming at us that will
control us. And you think it's silly, but I could give you all these examples of this happening right
now, right? And other, not just in China, but we've got this 15 minute city in Oxford, England,
which just so you know, it divides the city into four different types of places. And you're only
given a pass to like go out of your side like Northwest to the other one six times a year.
And you've got tracking your, you know, your license plate on your car. We're going to move on. So
that's just my conspiracy of what is the point of the data centers? We already have all data centers
for Pentagon related things. We've got to do something with this infrastructure we're building.
We may not need it later on. And then we could use it for something else is what I'm saying.
Okay, now we could just move on to another obvious thing that we don't like about these data centers
is the noise.
It as Alex Jones put it sounds like a demonic beehive, a satanic beehive.
Now, we all know that sound frequency, we could almost argue creates everything,
maybe on a subatomic level. I don't know that we don't need to get into quantum physics today,
but please join me for my episodes when I do. But frequency and sound can take sand or water.
And if you look at how like it would arrange sand on a table, it's like this beautiful snowflake
figure. And then you've got this demonic beehive. I just I feel I shouldn't joke because there are
people already getting sick. I had a hard time breathing. I couldn't sleep. I was like I thought
I was losing my mind. Summertime is more of a during the winters.
Animals would run they're checking the f out. I mean, the frogs are hopping away,
the deers are leaving the woods. Who would stay around to be listening to this?
And there's people inside their homes saying they sleep with headphones on,
but your body is still taking in this demonic beehive of resonance and cancer waves to it.
I ended up having to go down on my first floor
and put noise canceling headphones on just so I could sleep. Keep him from sleeping.
I'm getting bombarded each and every night. And again, I can I can feel it even if I touch
the wall, you could feel the vibrations on the wall. The American Public Health Association says
chronic noise exposure can lead to serious health problems like cardiovascular disease
or increased stress. Carlos's son started having nightmares. Okay, now we come to the next big
one guys. It's pretty dang big. It's the water. It's amazing. We were already drought stricken
in so many areas that's where the data centers are popping up. They can use up between 300,000
gallons to 5 million gallons of water per day, 5 million gallons of water per day. This water is
coming from natural basins, rivers, water supplies in the area, and it's pulling it away from our
agriculture, pulling it away from the environment itself. And it's not being redistributed into the
actual area that it came from. For almost for 50 years, a natural creek has flowed through my property.
It's 20 feet wide, up to four feet deep. It is persisted through drought, flood, seasonal change.
It's part of a connected system. Brownwater, tributaries, watersheds, aquifers, ultimately
flowing into Beaver Dam link. Until construction began upstream on the data center, its behavior
was stable and predictable. After construction started, all of that changed here in Beaver Dam.
The creek began to stop flowing entirely. Okay, so we're not just looking at a consumption
problem, which that is, and we can understand that. But more so what I want to give the nitty-gritty of
is the contamination, because it's happening in like multiple layers. The water that is discharged
comes out laced with cooling chemicals. It's hot and chemically altered, polluting local waterways.
So I think there's four ways the water, like, I always got to break it down so I can understand it.
You could generally, we could frame it this way. One, the air from the gas turbines burning the
fuel, that NOX and CO2 particles, that's that black fuming smoke you see coming out of them.
The Memphis AI Colossus site that the Elon's Grok data center is the most documented case, 35 plus
unpermitted gas turbines running next to a black neighborhood. The NAACP sued local residents
reporting asthma spikes. Then we have the water discharge contaminated with the sludge into the
local rivers. Without rainfall, it would abruptly return often cloudy and opaque like milk with
enough force to cause drastic erosion and damage. Third is the airborne drift. Chemicals and bacteria
aerosolized into the local air. Dust from the construction covers my yard. My grass is white.
And I'm 1.6 miles away. When I drive past it, I have to pull over because the dust cloud is so
thick that I can't see the front of the hood of my truck. That behavior is not consistent with
natural variability. It is not explained by weather patterns and it has never happened before.
And then you have fourth, your downwind rain. Those chemicals fall back as contaminated
precipitation somewhere else. Here's a one sentence for us. AI gas-powered AI data centers
doesn't just use water and pollute air separately. It converts clean local water
into chemically contaminated vapor, which then poisons both the air above it and the rain
downed wind of it. And the reason they can't even push back against the argument I'm making
right now is because this is all new. At this scale, it hasn't happened before.
That is a rubber stamp in the process. There is nothing we can legally do to stop it at that
point because you have to prove it is damaging to people's health and we cannot legally prove
damage before it's built. So it goes through. So you have to stop it at the city level if you
want to speak up. But the city level proposed a conversation at their meeting about a TID,
not about a data center. By the time we knew it was a data center, it was too late to do anything.
Oh my goodness. I just feel like I'm looking at a map of America and it's got like a
black fog over it and they're like, why? And we're like, but we love AI.
I think we all need it. It's the way the world is going. But do I think
dropping it next to people's homes is the right answer? No.
All need to speak out against these data centers. They're coming to a town near you. Just watch.
It's just too much. And the point is, is why is this happening? Here's my main guess.
Is that if you look, I've got this dystopic picture, which should be a city council meeting,
is that there's no legislation because nobody has to answer to anybody.
So anytime you ask a question, it's, oh, we signed an NDA. We can't talk about it.
Oh, we're under NDA. We can't talk about it. So there's no transparency at all.
It's not a county, city, state, federal, which department, which bureaucracy points.
There is no definitive public directory of data centers, no official map,
no single regulator to ask, or government agency to foyer.
So I did what residents are told to do. I called up the Department of Natural Resources.
I spoke with dedicated staff, but the system is fragmented. My reports are passed between
departments. Reports are lost. And at one point I was told the agency didn't even know if they
had clear authority over what was going on. What I learned in this process is there is no
single entity responsible for what happens downstream when large scale construction disrupts
the water system. Different permits govern different activities, locally, county level,
state level, some even federal. No one is tasked at looking at the whole picture.
Or what happens beyond the project boundary. This is not a failure of individual agency staff.
It's a policy failure. The law is on the side of the businesses and not on the residents.
There are property values ruined, and they're listening to the beehive
shitstorm as they sleep. They can't escape this. You can't escape it.
At one point, Carlos moved his whole family down to the basement to try to escape the vibrations.
What do they do? It's so bizarre of what kind of situation thousands of people across America
are currently in, but then we have 700 being built right now, and it's upcoming.
That's why I wanted to do this episode, because it's just like this interesting phenomena,
and we're at this time where we could either decide this is part of what we're going to have
for our future neighborhoods, or is HOAs now going to start like you're in the best neighborhood ever
of your HOAs, like Anna Data Center, and I could see why. I would opt for that as well.
But even if the people on farms and ranges, which is way more valuable than living in a
neighborhood, that's the worst. If your A-hole neighbor sells out, and I know this happens,
my own extended family sold to a dump years ago, thankfully. A dump sounds like a great
neighbor at this point. Having a dump nearby would be wonderful, because all you have to
hope for is that that liner they're putting all the trash into holds up for X amount of years
that it's least guaranteed. See, at least in the past, these things were measured,
and we still had NIMBY arguments over, not in my backyard, even back then. This is an issue
that we could come together on. Back in the day, to start a war, the French Revolution,
I think, or something, it was like 3% of their population. It was like a group of men that
were organized having coffee in one coffee shop versus another group of men down the road,
and they were able to organize and get together and start a war as large as the French Revolution.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I know it's a major French battle. And this issue,
Democrats and Republicans agree upon. The narrative hasn't been actually tainted yet.
This is interesting. This is something just to watch over the next six months.
One topic will divide us. This topic, I don't think anybody's picked a side yet.
I'm scared the Republicans, because the current administration is into
watch my prior episodes on the Pentagon with AI. I believe the thumbnails like AI is planning war.
We are very heavily entrenched with our AI bros right now, the Pentagon,
Pete Hegseth, Trump, etc. Don't get me started with their battle they had with Anthropic.
This is for us to figure out. We've got to organize as people.
Obviously, I think we're divided. I don't know how we organize. I don't think we're going to be
organized to stop something this big. You've got to be united, be able to speak about it. I think
that was my third point of why we haven't organized to stop this is that we aren't able to speak.
This will be spun quickly with the tech oligarchs. We will not be able to talk against these things
anymore. Too much. We're just too much of everything, too much information, too large,
uncontrollable. Right now, we are seeing cities come together being organized, but we just watched
the defeat in Utah. 400 organized residents be told by a billionaire from another country
that they are fake. He even went on to the internet and read their names out loud and said they're fake
actors and not even real and probably was he saying they're Chinese owned? Then these two women
behind this Democrat democratic organization that organized to go to the city meeting was like,
hi, I'm so and so that you just said I'm a fake actor. That's me and I met the council and I live
in Utah and I breathe Utah air that you don't. That's the point. We're breathing the air. Y'all
aren't. So I guess going back to my original NIMBY, not in my backyard, I'm going to give you the
tidbit on where, what is the famous backyard that started that? It is in York, England. I didn't
have to travel that far because I was living there at the time, but I went to York without
knowing obviously that this was there. So if you look on screen, there is a Roman wall built around
the city of York and in 1880, they decided we should make it walkable so it's easier to get
around the town and I believe his name was Edwin Gray. There it is. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
Said not in my backyard. Look how stunning this city is. You could see this wall overlooks directly
into his gorgeous God in there in the UK and he said not in my backyard. So who's the first person
to push back? To describe what it looks like, he's got this beautiful minster that's being
correct. It's not a church. It's a minster. The difference is that means they go out and
they go outside the church and minster. That's where it came from. And then this house is this
beautiful red brick building that looks like a castle and it's in a garden in the back. And yeah,
so it should be not in my backyard. Yeah, the BY at the end is for backyard. It should be not in my
nimby, not in my garden. I don't have any positive spin. Who is coming to save me?
It'll be kind of sad and dystopic and it'll be become like a lottery ticket. Like did your
farmer ranch get lucky and you didn't get a data center built nearby it? I shouldn't be this dystopic
but now that I've built that image of like the black cloud over the United States, that's us
with our demonic beehive sound. Not in my backyard, everybody. Stay human and stay free.
