Psalm 148. The Psalmist says, praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens. Praise Him from the skies. Praise Him all his angels.
Pastor Fredo Ramos:Praise Him all the armies of heaven. Praise Him sun and moon. Praise Him all you twinkling stars. Praise Him skies above. Praise Him vapors high above the clouds.
Pastor Fredo Ramos:Let every created thing give praise to the Lord for He issued His command and they came into being. He set them in place forever and ever. His decree will never be revoked. Praise the Lord from the earth, you creatures of the ocean's depths, fire and hail, snow and clouds, wind and weather that obey him, mountains and all the hills, fruit trees and all the cedars, wild animals and all livestock, small scurrying animals, scurrying animals and birds, kings of the earth and all people rulers, judges of the earth, young men, young women, old men and children. Let them all praise the name of the Lord for his name is great.
Pastor Fredo Ramos:His glory towers over the earth and all of heaven. Verse 14, he made his people strong, honoring His faithful ones, the people of Israel who are close to Him. Praise the Lord. By way of reflection, you can again see the theme of one forty eight along with the last five Psalms. They all end with the invitation to sing today.
Pastor Fredo Ramos:And so whatever you might be walking into, and by way of relationship or work or routine, whatever the situation you find yourself in today, the invitation still stands to sing to God, to praise him for two specific reasons. Verse six, he set them in place forever referring to the created world and his decree will never be revoked. In other words, what God says will indeed happen. In other words, we praise God because what He wants, He will get. And that is good news for you and I today.
Pastor Fredo Ramos:His decrees will never be revoked. Many of our plans will be rejected. Our great, agenda for the day will eventually fall apart, but God's plans will never be revoked. And then secondly, we're told verse 13, let them praise the name of the Lord. Why?
Pastor Fredo Ramos:Because His name is great. Out of all the things that you will accomplish, both good and bad, the things that fall apart. Nothing will be greater today than the name of God himself. Nothing will bring more joy and more life to your situation than the very reality that God is with you. And his name.
