Robby: You're listening to the brand
ed bullet from the brand ed podcast.

Four freaky fast Friday wins to
get you going for your weekend.

Let's go!

Win number one, something to try.

Focus is a secret weapon of
those who are productive, but we

all know it doesn't come easy.

The most used organization and
productivity app and my own

arsenal is called WorkFlowy.

It is fundamentally a list-maker, but each
list can nest infinite list inside it.

Make sure you check the show notes and
click on the link so you can see it in

action, zooming in and out of lists.

It's a much more powerful, easy way
to organize all of your ideas and

your thoughts and your projects.

I use it to organize this podcast
and any, and every project I do.

In fact, it is the one app open
all day, every day on my laptop.

And my phone and my iPad, the
focus comes by zooming into a list.

So you only see what you
need to focus on right now.

And it's why the founders of both
Twitter and slack use WorkFlowy and

it's how a New York times bestselling
author and the CEO of a $10 billion

organization organize their work.

Win number two, something
a client recently asked.

A client recently shared his
disappointment and the literal

response to his sales email.

So we walked through an exercise.

I call a day in the life of, I asked
him a series of questions about his

customer to help him develop rapport.

Empathy.

Here are a few examples.

I asked how many phone interactions
did your ideal customer have

with his or her family today?

That would include text
messages or phone calls.

How many formal meetings did your
ideal customer sit through today?

What did your ideal customer
do on social media today?

How long did he or she
spend on there and why?

When we finished our reminded him, his
email landed in that person's inbox

in the middle of that kind of day.

Win number three,
something to think about.

Guess what separates these two men.

Edward Jenner and Benjamin GST.

I know you've never
heard of either of them.

Well, they both discovered the cure
for smallpox in the form of a vaccine.

One did it in 1774 and the
other two decades later in 1796.

Jesse discovered the cure and vaccinated
his family in 1774, but he didn't

tell anyone Jenner later discovered
the same thing in 1796, but he

went and shouted it from the Hills.

And he is often credited as
the father of the vaccine.

Why ultimately, because of mark.

Win number four, something personal.

A few weeks back, I held the first
personal brand accelerator workshop with

my copywriting friend, Jeff Coleman.

Here's some of the feedback
we got from the participants.

One of them said it was really,
really helpful for me to take

the time and reflect, to find
the words to put into action.

Another participant said, I feel like
I've made a transformation today.

I went from feeling on the outside
of marketing to the inside and

understanding why I'm so passionate
about why I do what I do.

Another one said it went so much
deeper than I was expecting.

I feel like I have a deeper
connection to myself.

And another person said I was struck
by the power of how we engaged and got

to develop an unfold throughout the day.

Three reflections on the feedback.

Number one, these words, confirm
we should all do what we love.

Number two, I love seeing progress
for real folks when leading these

personal brand accelerator workshops
and number three, it represents a

significant milestone for my own journey.

More on that.

And another book.

Thanks for joining me on this
episode of the brand ed bullet.

Good news.
