You know what is one of the best comments I came across during our
recent Krishna Katha Janmashtami celebrations? It
was this one person who commented on our live stream
saying, "I didn't have the chance to visit a
Krishna temple today. But through your music, I
went there with my mind. I
think that was one of the most moving comments that
we at Mahakatha received. And it is
more powerful than perhaps even that person realizes.
Let me tell you more about it and introduce
you to another beautiful Krishna Mantra
in today's episode. Namaste, and welcome to
this episode of the Mahakatha meditation Mantras podcast. I'm
your host Preeti. And today, we're talking about the
power of being somewhere just with
your mind. You see, we're not
always where we want to be. For
example, many of us would like to be
in a different place right now, perhaps back home,
perhaps in a bigger home, in a better neighborhood.
Most of us, are not exactly where
we want to be right now.
Similarly, many of us don't always
get to celebrate
occasions and milestones and
success to the extent that we want to celebrate,
in the way that we would love to celebrate. We don't
always get to throw a feast, or
take our families somewhere, or plan something amazing
just for ourselves - as often as we'd like, do
we? We may be limited by our time,
by our resources, by money. And so there
is naturally that feeling of disappointment. Oh,
but I'm not there. I really wish I was there. I really wish I was
at that point in my life where I could do this or afford this.
But then I came across a great example and a great
lesson while I was researching for the
Krishna Katha series. And I found a beautiful
story about the birth of Lord Krishna and something that his
parents did on that night. You see,
Lord Krishna's parents were being held prisoners when he was
born. So it was no place to celebrate. There
was not the slightest scope for the
new parents to even express in words
how overjoyed they were. They had to be
quiet. And even afraid
for their child's life almost immediately. And
so what they couldn't do In real life
at that particular moment, they did
by closing their eyes and visualizing
visiting all the temples they would have loved to visit with their
newborn son, taking the blessings of all the sages and
wise men, that they would have wanted to bless their
son. Throwing a feast and celebrating
with all their family members and giving chariots
and chariots worth of offerings at god's
feet. This was all
only in their minds. While in reality,
they were sitting in fear. Alone
and cold on a dark rainy night
where anything could have happened. And
because they did this incredible act
of visiting places and
doing wonderful things for their child
just with their mind, the gods were
moved. And the couple was instantly
blessed. So perhaps we should try
to do this, maybe even as a fun exercise
to visualize being where we want to
be. To visualize doing all the wonderful
things we dream of doing, but can't do
right now because of our current limitations
However, that shouldn't stop us from
experiencing the same kind of joy, the
same kind of satisfaction, and the same
kind of hope that exists
in visualizing those wonderful experiences
through the eyes of our mind. I think that is
one of the best ways to use our imagination,
to use the creativity of our mind. And if
we look around, our lives are filled with
such portals, filled with such doors
that will take us to all these wonderful places and
experiences through the mind. For instance,
music is something that you can close your
eyes to and travel with. Poetry
is another example. The words written by
someone you will perhaps never meet in your lifetime
can still take you along to a beautiful
place in your past or your future so
that you can derive some joy, some inspiration
from it. Books are another
example. The books we read, the
paintings that many of the Maestros left
us several years ago, looking into
them, reading them, getting lost in them for
a while, are all wonderful ways
to travel, to a place that you want
to be in. But haven't yet reached
in your physical reality. And using
all these mediums, all these portals, using
books, prose, poetry,
art, music can be the basis
of our spiritual understanding. It can
not only help us take a break from our
reality It can also help us set the
foundation to where we want to reach in
life. And become the wind beneath our
wings as we try to get there.
Whether you travel, whether you
celebrate, whether you offer in your
physical form, or your mental
form. The joy and
the inspiration can be the exact
same. So if you
feel limited in your life right now, if you keep
finding yourself wishing that you had more and you could
do more, Then this is the sign
to start spending a little more time doing all
those lovely things. Through the eyes of your mind.
And suited for this exact purpose, let
me introduce you to the Icchapurthi
mantra. This is an ancient Sanskrit chant.
Which is said to invoke the wish fulfilling
powers of lord Krishna.
With this mantra, you can safely close your
eyes and allow your mind to be drawn
to the places that you are waiting to be
in, to the future that you are
working so hard to reach.
So if you haven't heard the Icchapurti Mantra already,
I encourage you to try meditating to this
mantra for a while and allow yourself
to feel a little pampered, a little
accomplished. A little inspired
and happy. Just being there
with your mind. With this intention, You also

Here are 2 of the most lovely comments we've received
for the Icchapoorti mantra so far.
The first one says, "This chant is amazing,
and it works. Prayers are being answered, and
everything is working in my favor. Grateful. Thank
you." What a wonderful comment, and
it is so lovely to read comments like these
and know that People across different faiths and
across different cultures are experiencing the benefit
of this divine chant. The second one
says, "It was a bad day for me today. I thought
of doing some meditation instead of breaking down and I
found this video. At the beginning, I was choking
while saying the Mantra. But at the end, I
felt completely relaxed. Thank you so much
for this meditation. Wonderful." This
is so relatable because so many of us have to
go through such days where things just don't seem
to be working in our favor. And especially on
those days, I would love for us to experience
a little bit of divine hope and
divine help through the medium of this
mantra. Thank you so much listeners for
your comments. And I really hope that you try out
this mantra as well. That brings me to the
end of this episode Thank you so much for tuning in and for
staying right until the end. As always, I'm gonna be back with a
brand new episode soon and a brand new mantra for all of us
to enjoy. Until then, stay blessed.
