Right on Rangers LIVE!

Dallas rallied from 24-13, drove 96 yards to take a fourth-quarter lead, tied Baltimore with 10 seconds left and still lost 34-31 on Tyler Loop’s 56-yard field goal.

Austin breaks down why the ending belongs more to coaching, special teams and a defense that couldn’t finish than to Dak Prescott, who repeatedly put the Cowboys in position to win without turning it over. The show also gets into Javonte Williams’ 98-yard breakout, Jaishawn Barham’s goal-line stand on Derrick Henry, the Cowboys’ red-zone and clock-management mistakes, defensive roster needs, and what an 0-3 Houston team presents next week.

What is Right on Rangers LIVE!?

Right on Rangers is where Rangers fans ride the season in real time.

The LIVE shows are the heartbeat. Big wins, ugly losses, bullpen chaos, breakout heaters, trade rumors, roster debates, and the takes that come with actually caring about this team.

Sometimes those takes get hot. That’s part of watching 162 with people who are invested. But the reaction still has receipts. We use stats, film, history, roster context, and what’s happening on the field to figure out what the game actually revealed.

Between LIVE shows, we go deeper on the players, decisions, stories, and moments shaping Texas baseball.

Rangers first, always. When the calendar turns, the Cowboys, Longhorns, Mavericks, and the biggest Texas sports stories get their run too.

If you want sterile box-score recaps, this probably isn’t your show. If you want passionate Rangers talk with actual baseball underneath it, welcome in.

Hi, and welcome to another edition of Right

on Rangers Live, coming back at you, fourth

quarter, Cowboys-Ravens.

And a little 20-minute break from our

Rangers Live earlier, and we are here once

again.

Cowboys trying to close out this ballgame.

They lead on a KaVontae Turpin touchdown, a

nice end-around play after two massive defensive

stops.

Barham, ever since they gave that man the

green dot, he has been the best defensive

player that the Cowboys have, flying all over

the field, and back-to-back huge stops

to flip this game.

Ravens are driving now.

They have the ball at the 32-yard

line of Dallas.

Cowboys with a four-point lead, three minutes

and 40 seconds left on the clock.

We are going to finish this one out

with you.

We'll also go through as much post-game

as we possibly can as well.

But first of all, before we get into

too much more, you already know the drill

here at Right on Rangers.

We cover everything Texas sports, but we put

a huge emphasis on the Cowboys during the

NFL season, and we thank you for choosing

Right on Rangers for all of your Cowboys

content.

Drop a comment, drop a question.

We'd love to hear from you.

It has been a up-and-down game.

Cowboys really have felt pretty in control of

this one.

I feel like the score at times hasn't

reflected really the effort that the Cowboys have

put forth.

You haven't had a perfect game by any

means, but you've really controlled the game well

on the ground with Javante, and Dak has

had, I think, a steady ball game.

Not really anything wild, but he's made some

big throws down the stretch here.

Had that big toss to CeeDee Lamb.

That was a dime right into the bread

basket.

Thought CeeDee might be able to break away

and get a touchdown there, but as we

mentioned just a few moments ago, Turpin reaching

pay dirt just minutes later.

The Cowboys defense going to have to stand

strong once more here.

We have two minutes, 49 seconds to glory

in Rio.

You would think based on how the clock

is going at this moment, maybe the Cowboys

are able to get the ball back here

even with a Baltimore score, but I think

you got stop on your mind.

You're not even really worried about a whole

lot else at this point.

The Ravens are far enough out.

This isn't within the 10-yard line here.

They still have a little bit to go

to reach the end zone, and they need

a touchdown down four.

Going to be a quick commercial break here

for an injury.

Let's go real quick.

We know Dallas just kind of completely flipped

the game with two big defensive stops.

Baltimore, they stretched the lead to 24-13,

and they were about to stretch it to

31-21, and they were stopped at the

goal line.

Barham flying out of that defensive backfield, and

he does a job stopping Henry in his

tracks.

Then Dallas goes 95 yards the other way

to take a 28-24 lead.

That was a huge flip of the game.

Absolutely huge.

We know Dak over 240 yards passing through

the air.

Doesn't have an interception today.

Hasn't turned the ball over.

Javante almost 100 yards total.

CeeDee Lamb almost 100 yards.

I think they're both at 98-98.

Dallas has 367 total yards of offense.

I think the offense has given the Cowboys

plenty today.

I'm not really feeling like win or lose.

You're going to be looking at the offense

too much.

We'll see if the defense can hold up.

Yes, they have the two massive stops by

Barham, but if you allow a touchdown here,

you're giving up over 30 points once again.

I think you score 28 like the Cowboys

have so far today.

You should be able to win a football

game.

Yes, the NFL is in a little bit

of a different season, a little bit of

a different era, if you will, but four

touchdowns should be good enough.

Also, you have got some other players notable

in terms of yardage today.

We talked about Turpin and his performance so

far.

Just has the one rush for nine yards.

Also has one reception for nine yards as

well.

Jake Ferguson, three for 23 with the touchdown.

Brandon Aubrey has had a little bit of

an interesting day.

He's kicked the ball out of bounds a

couple of times on kickoffs.

I was hoping they were going to show

a replay.

I was thinking maybe the surface throwing him

off a little bit.

Hard to say without really being able to

get a second look at that, but he

has been a little up and down here.

Patrick, appreciate you, man.

We'll be doing off-season Rangers stuff, by

the way.

I mentioned that a few times when we

were doing the Rangers live to finish out

the season, but we will be doing Rangers

off-season show every Wednesday, just so you

know.

We'll be doing Cowboys Longhorn show every Saturday

for college, Sunday for NFL, or if the

Cowboys are playing on Monday night or a

Thursday, of course, we'll be going live during

the fourth quarter and for the postgame.

We definitely will be migrating into football season,

a little more heavy on the football content.

If you are a DFW sports fan, this

is the place for you, man.

We cover the Mavericks.

We cover the Rangers, the Cowboys.

I do cover the Texas Longhorns for college

football, getting a little bit outside the Metroplex

there, but originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth

area.

If you're just showing in the show for

the first time, I grew up in Arlington,

real close to where the stadium is now

at this point.

Both stadiums, right?

AT&T and the ballpark in Arlington.

Now, of course, Globe Life Field.

I live out in Vegas now.

I've been out here for most of my

adult life, but obviously still love all of

my teams that I grew up with.

In recent years, since 2023, I've been covering

all of them year in and year out.

Appreciate you hanging out.

If you haven't hit that follow button yet,

this is what we do pretty much every

weekend, man.

We just talk ball, watch the game together,

do a little postgame analysis, take comments, take

questions.

It's a great time.

Hope you follow along with us during the

rest of the NFL season.

Thank you so much.

Commercial break still.

When play resumes, we have got the Ravens

driving.

They are 1st and 10 at the 16

right now of Dallas.

Cowboys have all their timeouts left.

Going to be interesting to see how Shotty

decides to play this thing.

Do you start taking some timeouts here?

Do you let things play out a little

bit?

It's going to be curious how they decide

to manage this.

Either way, the best that Baltimore can do

is get up three.

You're hoping that you can keep them out

of the end zone at this point, but

you got to feel like the Cowboys will

at least have somewhat of a shot.

It only gets dangerous with one more first

down.

One more first down, it's going to get

dangerous for Dallas here because the first down

will put you at the six-yard line.

Then if the Cowboys start calling timeouts, you

cannot control the clock at that point.

Colby, I'm with you on this.

Hopefully, this can go.

This game finishes up a little bit better

than the Rangers game did earlier today.

Barham is being schooled the whole game.

Barham has made a couple of big plays.

I know the game overall, there's been some

ups and downs, no doubt, but Barham, two

massive plays for the defense.

It's going to be hard for me to

give too much criticism to him with some

of the big plays that he's made.

Barham, though, by and large, you look at

the team tackle, seven.

Markquese Bell out ahead of him by one

in total tackles.

Markquese Bell is eight.

Jaishawn Barham was seven.

Then from there, some notables as well.

You got Quinnen Williams with a tackle for

loss.

DaRon Bland has a tackle for loss.

Clark with the pass deflection.

We know that Baltimore has run the football

quite a bit today.

They have, as it is right now, 36

rushes to just 12 receptions.

Baltimore is making this Dallas team work.

That is for sure.

Cowboys going to be sleeping well tonight, hopefully,

after this game.

Hopefully, they can get a win, but either

way, man, they have been worked, this defense

has.

All right, here we go.

First and 16.

Zay Flowers in motion.

Cowboys are showing some pressure here.

Lamar going to bounce it outside, and he's

going to go out of bounds.

Lamar, that's just not a smart decision by

Jackson.

I don't think you want to see the

clock stop here.

That really helps out the Cowboys.

Really is helpful for the Cowboys.

I would think you would want to waste

a little clock here, kill a little clock.

You got plenty of it, and you don't

have that long of a field.

Here we go.

John, yes.

Block field goal.

What's good, my guy?

Good to see you as always, brother.

We transition to Cowboys now.

Aubrey has had a little bit of a

down game, I would say.

Not your quintessential Aubrey game.

Zay Flowers, looks like he is going to

be stopped short.

Looks like the Ravens are going to put

this one in, but look, the silver lining

is you're going to get the ball back.

You're definitely getting the ball back, so Dak

and company are going to have a shot.

You don't want to see Baltimore put this

in, obviously, but at minimum, the Cowboys are

going to get the ball back here.

Barring a penalty, you want to play clean

here.

You do not want to give Baltimore an

automatic first down.

That would really tank the chances.

That's the only thing you really have to

avoid here.

Clearly, you want to keep them out of

the end zone, but you do not want

a penalty that gives Baltimore a new fresh

set of downs at this point.

I appreciate all you guys hanging out.

Thank you so much.

Cowboys winning 28-24, although Baltimore first and

goal from the Cowboy two-yard line.

Buck 47 left on the clock.

Daniel, what's good, man?

Thanks for hanging out.

John, I'm not sure if we're going to

be able to get one more stop or

not here.

I've got a gut feeling that Baltimore probably

punches this in, and it's going to take

a Dallas offensive drive.

Dak, fourth quarter comeback to see a victory

in this one.

We'll see if you can get the Cowboys'

defense coming up big once again.

Here we go.

Derrick Henry, direct snap.

We're going to get an illegal formation here,

a little false start.

Okay, a little false start here.

That'll push Baltimore back five yards.

That is huge.

That is huge.

At this point, I mean, now you're at

the seven-yard line.

At least you're able to get a little

bit of breathing room here for the defense.

Yeah, he was not ready.

Derrick Henry was not ready for that one.

Derrick Henry was in the quarterback position taking

a direct snap.

Now Lamar is going to be back there

once again.

Derrick Henry not in the backfield.

Lamar drops back to pass, and they're going

to call a penalty.

Yep, they're calling a penalty here.

Not sure what was up with the jersey

grab there.

You had Zay Flowers in a little bit

of space.

There was just no reason for a jersey

grab there, and you're going to have a

penalty here.

This is what you want to avoid down

here.

It really is.

Pass interference is going to put the ball

at about the three-yard line.

Markquese Bell, just a really unfortunate error there.

Zay Flowers, he was streaking open a little

bit.

Yeah, look, you definitely had some interference.

Zay Flowers, definitely a little bit of flop

in there, but you have Bell putting the

hands on.

That's never going to end well.

Bell, I would agree with you.

I would agree with you, Albert.

Appreciate the comment.

Comment from YouTube, Bell playing terrible today.

Bell has not had the best day.

I would agree with that.

Not been the best day for Bell.

Here we go.

Derrick Henry going to get stopped at about

the line of scrimmage, and now you start

calling timeouts.

Cowboys are going to burn their second timeout.

First or second timeout here?

Yep, their second timeout.

So you will burn it once more after

three.

You should get the ball back with about

50 to 55 seconds left.

Cowboys are hoping obviously to keep Baltimore out

of the end zone, but worst case scenario,

you're looking at getting the ball back with

a fair amount of time left.

Not an awesome amount of time left with

no timeouts, but at least a little bit

of time to work with.

You can work with that.

Eric, what's good, man?

Yep, we join the Mariners, the Rangers do,

in sitting on the couch this October, sadly,

unfortunately.

Chris, I kind of am with you here.

I don't know if you want to take

this to the bitter end.

Let's see what you do on second down,

though.

Let's see what you accomplish on second down.

If you get a tackle for loss here,

I don't think you let them score.

Out of the end zone, no good, and

the clock stops.

That's huge.

Chris, like I said again, this is why.

You see what happens.

Now on third down, everything's open.

Everything's open.

Look, if they would have got it down

to the one-yard line there, I do

think you think about it.

I think the right move is play it

out on second down like they just did,

and Lamar throws it out of the back

of the end zone.

Now you're set up well.

You're set up well now.

Yeah, that's just an ill-advised play call

and pass by Lamar.

That really is fortunate for the Cowboys.

If you can get a tackle for loss

here, that puts you in a huge spot.

It's not open.

It's not open.

Oh, I thought that they had.

I thought that they had it covered.

The Ravens put it in.

Lamar finds Hibner, and it is now going

to be a 30-28 game with the

extra point in tow.

Silver lining.

Cowboys have plenty of time, and you've got

one of the best kickers in the game.

He hasn't had a great game here in

Rio.

Maybe field conditions.

Who knows?

He kicked the ball out of bounds a

couple of times on kickoffs, had a field

goal block, but you've got Brandon Aubrey.

Man, I thought that there was going to

be a little more of a closeout there.

It looked like there was an opening, but

it looked like the Cowboys were going to

close that opening pretty quickly, just weren't able

to get back over to that football.

Tough angle, obviously, from the side, seeing how

much separation there was, but the Ravens are

going to bang home the extra point.

It's 31-28 with a minute 30 left.

Cowboys do have one timeout.

Quite a game.

Quite a game.

This would be a heartbreaker to lose, though,

especially when you take that 28-24 lead.

Man, oh man.

You know, I really thought on that play

that Carson was going to be able to

get back over.

It looked like he had enough speed and

enough time.

The ball was kind of lofted.

I really thought Carson, number 21 there, was

going to be able to get back over

to that football and make a block.

Jose, I'm with you on Bell.

TikTok comment here.

Get Bell off this team.

It's just not been his day.

It has not been Bell's day today.

That P.I., would Flowers maybe have scored

had he crossed Bell without the pass interference,

without the P.I.? I think it's a

good chance.

Zay Flowers, just so speedy, so crafty in

the movements.

I think it would have been a tough

situation, but Lamar under duress.

Who knows if it's a good throw?

It's going to be tough, but I think

you feel good with the ball in Dak's

hands.

Cowboys have been able to move the ball

really quite well on this Ravens defense.

I think with one timeout in this much

time, you've got to feel decent about Dak's

chances.

Have to.

This is a big moment for Dak, though.

If he is able to lead the Cowboys

on a drive here, preferably to win this

game, but it's a big statement game for

Dak early on.

You set the record for most Cowboys touchdowns

in franchise history.

You pass Tony Romo.

You come out and you get the Cowboys

to 2-1 here.

Man, that would be huge.

18 yards, CBS is saying, to get into

Aubrey range.

18 yards.

Dak, he's going to get the ball.

Oh, great job.

Flournoy, he gets it all the way to

about the 50-yard line.

What a great first play, and you get

out of bounds.

Great play call by Schotty.

Great move by Flournoy.

He able to break a tackle there and

stop the clock.

Phenomenal job.

Dak in the shotgun.

Javante next to him on his left.

Dak's going to audible here, see something he

likes or doesn't like.

Drops back to throw.

Dak delivers.

It's dropped.

It's dropped by Pickens.

Got to catch that one, man.

A little bit of a low throw by

Dak.

You have to catch that one.

Maybe it works out.

Look, I'll take the field position.

Probably got to be a little bit higher

throw.

I'm going to go 50-50 on that.

Pickens is a pro.

Catch it, man.

It's a low throw, but I still say

you get your hands on it.

You catch that football.

Dak's got to throw it a little bit

better.

I think both could have done better on

that play.

Second and 10, clock stop.

Buck 20.

They get it out to CeeDee quickly.

CeeDee's got room.

He goes to the sideline.

He gets out of bounds.

They are in Brandon Aubrey territory with plenty

of time.

I think you're absolutely thinking seven at this

point.

There is no way with this amount of

clock.

You got 74 seconds left.

You got so much time.

You got that timeout in your back pocket

as well.

You're 38 yards from pay dirt.

You got to start going for the end

zone here.

You don't have to go for it all

right now, but you got to have seven

on your mind.

Dak changes it up once again.

Moves Javante over to his right side.

Dak drops back.

Another pass to the sideline.

He hits Fornoy again right at the sticks.

They may give him the first down, if

not just an inch short.

Clock stops once again.

That's a first down.

I don't know if they're giving it to

him.

If they replay, I believe he catches it.

The nose of that football's right at the

marker.

Let's see what they decide to do.

Appreciate all y'all hanging out.

I know I haven't been checking comments very

much.

I'm glued to the game just like you.

I promise we will get as many comments

and questions after the game is over.

And I've got a lot to say after

this one as well.

Dak with the fake.

He takes it up.

Dak's got the first down.

He gets it to the 20-21 yard

line.

And a minute is now left on the

clock and ticking down.

Still have that time out.

You're definitely in Aubrey range.

A lot of time being wasted here.

Maybe for the best.

Dak going to drain this all the way

down to about 10 seconds on the play

clock.

This is a lot of time being taken

off.

I don't know about this.

They're still taking off.

They're going to run this all the way

down to one second.

Oh my goodness.

Baltimore's going to take a time out now.

That felt like a ton of time to

take off the clock there.

I don't know about y'all.

That much time?

Why?

That was so stupid.

Why are you taking that much time off

the clock?

You could have spiked it.

You could have done so many different things.

I do not love that much time coming

off, man.

It is your one commodity that you have

on your side.

That is horrible.

Why on earth?

I mean, look, you make Baltimore take it.

You still have your time out left.

But, I mean, look, you could have spiked

the ball there and had second, third, and

fourth down.

Look, the Cowboys are explosive enough to overcome

that, but that is just boneheaded clock management.

Dak in the shotgun drops back.

He's going for the end zone, and he's

going to get a flag here.

That one's going to be PI.

Is that going to be offensive?

They might be calling defensive here.

I don't know.

Lamb might be guilty.

Wow, this is a big call.

Huge call.

The cornerback initiates contact and hooks the arm.

That should be a defensive PI.

Yeah, the cornerback initiates the contact.

You see the cornerback hook the arm.

That is the correct call there.

Yup.

That is the correct call there.

You know, it's a tough one, as I

see the different angle.

That is a tough one.

Ball on the two-yard line.

Contact initiated.

CD may have started hooking a little bit

as well.

They got the arms hooked up.

Little pass to the end zone here.

Pickens not able to get to it.

20 seconds left.

I think you run the football here once,

don't you?

You run the football at least one time

with the timeout.

That is a tough, tough replay, man.

Yeah, that is a tough PI.

As I go through all the different angles

in the moment reacting, it felt like you

had the cornerback hooking CD.

CD definitely played a part in that at

the end.

Ball start on the Cowboys.

What are we doing?

You could have ran the football there.

Didn't even look like they were going to

run the football.

Schoonmaker, get off the field.

What are we doing, Schoonmaker?

Oh my goodness.

Where's Fergie or Spann-Ford when you need them?

Dude, come on.

Now you got to pass it.

Now you're passing every time.

Jacking the shotgun.

He's going to get so, he gets away.

He's still going.

Call timeout.

Five yard line.

Dak, the escape artist.

That could have been catastrophic, but Dak is

able to get out of it.

They're going to have two plays from the

five yard line.

Cowboys have really botched this final sequence here.

They have really botched this final sequence.

You could have ran it on first down.

You could have hit the false start.

Dak almost gets sacked, man.

Great call by the Baltimore defense.

I mean, that was almost not quite game

over because they would have called timeout, but

you would have had third and goal from

the 15.

Red zone issues, baby.

DMM, I hope you're wrong.

Comment on TikTok.

Dak's about to blow it.

Man, I hope you're wrong.

Oh, painful.

It's a big play here.

You're going to go to the end zone

every single time.

There's no choice, you're going to the end

zone two times in a row.

Can't do anything short of that.

And now it's going down to the last

play.

I have no clue what's going on there.

Jack just throws it out of bounds.

And now it comes down to one play.

What, why are we just doing the fade

ball?

Hate it, we're gonna see Aubrey come on

now.

Comes down to one play.

You'd like to think there's gonna be no

chance of any funny business here.

I'll knock on wood.

Like what are we doing with the play

calling there?

What are we doing?

Aubrey kicks it through and likely OT coming

unless there's some funny business.

With the final play of the game, Cowboys

will kick off with seven seconds left.

Jose, I'm with you.

Run the ball is the comment from TikTok.

I am with you.

On first down, I would have ran the

football.

Seeing if you can get something there on

first.

Look, if you're not gonna run it on

first down with a timeout, you run it

on second.

It didn't look like, even on the Schoonmaker

false start play, it didn't look like they

were going to run the ball.

It looked like a play action pass.

I don't know if anybody else caught that.

I mean, look, I'm calling it like I

see it in real time, just like you

are, but it looked like on the Schoonmaker

false start play on second down, they had

a play action pass set up.

Like you're not even gonna run the football

one time from the two yard line?

That to me doesn't make a lot of

sense when you have a timeout.

If you don't have a timeout, I'm a

little bit more understanding, obviously.

But when you have a timeout, you've got

four downs.

I mean, technically three.

I mean, depending on how close you are,

you're gonna kick the field goal to tie

the game.

Questionable play calling by Schotty and company there.

You really thought the Cowboys with that PI,

which they, as you think about it, were

kind of gifted.

That is a questionable PI.

You definitely got a bit of a gift

there, in my opinion, looking at all the

replays now.

Yes, there was a little bit of initiation

by the Ravens cornerback.

Looked like CeeDee hooked the arm, though.

I think it could have gone no call.

It could have gone the other way.

You could have had PI on the Cowboys.

I think, Kachow, you have a decent point

here.

YouTube comments, should have ran the ball first

and goal after the DPI.

If you're not gonna run it on first

down after the defensive pass interference, run it

on second down.

And they weren't even gonna run it on

second down.

They had a play-action pass called.

Lamar is dropping back.

I guess they're gonna let this one go.

Wide open.

And no, I don't think they're gonna get

it.

I don't think they're gonna get it.

Wow.

They might have just won the game with

that pass.

I think the time expired.

I think they have to review that.

I think they've gotta review that.

Let's see what's going on here.

He's down with one.

They gotta sync up when he called that.

56-yard attempt here incoming.

Wow.

This would be an agonizing defeat indeed.

It's good.

Fire Christian Parker?

Fire Christian Parker?

Are we going there yet?

Embarrassing final sequence.

Very Cowboys.

Very Cowboys.

Not only on offense, but on defense as

well.

A very Cowboys finish.

Totally soiled the bed offensively.

Completely soiled the bed offensively at the end

there.

You had first and goal at the two

-yard line after a gift DPI.

That maybe could have been OPI.

And then you trot out what you did

with seven seconds left.

You allow a wide open Zay Flowers?

Pathetic.

Embarrassing loss.

You had to come all the way to

Rio to get your butt kicked like this

when you were up 28 to 24.

Completely pathetic, disappointing loss.

And it's on Schotty.

And it's on the offense late.

You had to put that game to bed.

Christian Parker obviously deserves blame for that final

play there.

The Ravens getting it all the way into

field goal range.

Schotty down there at the goal line.

What are we doing?

What are we doing?

The 30 seconds that came off the clock,

you had 56 draining all the way down

to 25.

I'm with you.

Forever winning.

You had to score a touchdown there.

It's a ridiculous loss.

The Giants loss was terrible.

This feels worse to me.

Look, and that's hard.

I hate losing to the Giants, but you

could have won this football game.

You could have won this football game, man.

Ridiculous.

Albert, I hope you're wrong.

Comment says, is this what we're gonna see

all year?

I hope not.

I surely hope not.

Cowboys have no one to blame but themselves.

No one to blame but themselves for that

loss.

You had an opportunity to win the football

game.

You could have made it impossible for Baltimore

to win that game, but you totally crapped

the bed.

You soiled the bed with first and goal

at the two.

Schoonmaker, I mean, look, I know that he

has a place with the blocking in the

run game.

Schoonmaker, come on, man.

What is this, you're three or four?

Come on, Schoonmaker.

That was a terrible penalty.

You have second down with an opportunity from

the two-yard line.

I don't know why they were play action

passing there.

Like second and goal from the two.

Could we run the football one time?

It's just comical.

The 30 seconds they had Dak get the

first down at the 20, and then they

let 30 seconds run off the clock.

Dak was audible-ing like five times.

What, do we not have a play call?

We don't have one good call that we

feel good about.

With 55 seconds, we gotta drain 30 seconds

off the clock there?

Stewart, I'm with you.

What was that time management?

You don't drain that 30 seconds off the

clock.

You leave so much more open.

Now, yeah, they get bailed out by the

DPI that puts them on the two-yard

line, but clock is your most precious commodity.

Downs and clock, man.

Like you cannot drain that clock down to

25.

It's ridiculous.

Shotty down there at the goal line, man.

Just pathetic with the play calling.

The two fade balls, like what are we

doing?

The two fade balls to pick-ins, just

throwing up a prayer each time.

We don't have anything better than that?

I get it one time, but two times

we're trying to throw a fade to pick

-ins?

We have nothing more creative than two prayer

balls to pick-ins?

That's the extent?

The play calling was horrible.

I mean, look, I know we could give

some craft to some of the individuals.

I have no clue what that sequence was

down there at the goal line.

Look, Billy, what's good, man?

Comment, it says Dak's a choke artist.

Is it Dak, though, on that last sequence

there?

I don't walk away feeling like Dak choked

that game.

I feel like it was terrible play calling.

I mean, look, Dak, who knows?

We'll have to find out if they even

ask what the audibles were down there.

Honestly, the last play of the game where

Lamar has Zay Flowers wide open, what are

we doing?

What are we doing on that last play,

Jake?

I said it immediately after the game was

over.

Are we starting the fire Christian Parker chance?

And look, I'm typically like, hey, give some

time, let it play out a little bit,

but this has been terrible from Christian Parker.

This has been terrible.

34 giving up.

Look, and honestly, it probably would have been

worse if not for Barham and his outstanding

back-to-back series that he had to

stuff Baltimore.

Without Barham, this probably is a Baltimore 40

-piece, 40-plus piece.

Ka-chow, shot GPT, Schotty GPT, baby.

We did skip GPT in the Rangers season.

Shot GPT.

I'm thinking of something else.

Replace that O with a different letter if

you know what I mean.

Oh, that is terrible.

That is terrible.

Guillermo, I'm with you.

We got some people red hot in the

comments right now.

I'm with y'all.

That is one of the worst endings I

have seen.

It's so Cowboys.

So Cowboys for that ending.

Ugly, man.

Just ugly.

All right, post-game show fully upon us.

We'll take comments.

We'll take questions.

Obviously, I'll run through, if I have to,

the miserable finish here, man.

We watched a miserable baseball game.

The Rangers finished out their season earlier today.

Now we turn on the Cowboys game.

They're dominating at the beginning of the fourth

quarter.

Dominating.

And then they go back to typical Cowboys

mode.

It's typical Cowboys mode.

Daddy G comment, gold comment here.

Gotta love being from the DF dub, man.

Gotta love it.

Gotta love DFW sports.

You really do.

Look, I saw on this comment says, it

was zero, should have gone to overtime.

I thought the replay showed pretty clearly that

the butt was down at one second.

Now, did Lamar call the timeout in time?

I don't know.

I don't know.

I felt like the replay showed pretty clearly

he was down on the ground with one

second.

Now, what I wanted to see was Lamar

and the timeout call synced up.

That, to me, felt a little suspect.

The replay pretty clearly showed you have one

second left with the butt down.

I don't know.

I'm trying to be unbiased here.

I'm trying to be objective.

I could honestly go either way with it.

It did feel like, and correct me if

I'm wrong, felt like they showed one second

butt down.

I don't know.

I'll have to go back and look at

it one more time.

Lamar, that's what I wanted to see.

Give me the wide shot where Lamar is

calling it because they said Lamar called the

timeout.

Like, that's what I want to see.

Are they really granting it that quickly in

real time?

I don't know.

Timeout was called after zero.

That, I can get on board with.

I think Zay is down with one second,

but did they call the timeout that quickly?

Yeah, I don't know about that.

Don't know about that.

Keep rolling.

I know a bunch of y'all are

saying rigged.

Look, the Cowboys' defensive scheme there, I mean,

what did they think?

The Ravens were kneeling it?

Did you think the Ravens weren't gonna do

anything?

Oh, man.

G-Man, good question here for all my

true DFW sports fans, not just Cowboys fans.

Who's worse, Schotty or Skip?

I gotta go Skip just because at least

Schotty looks like he has a pulse sometimes.

Like, at least you get some personality with

Schotty.

Like, Skip, you don't get much personality and

you get some questionable coaching.

At least with Schotty, you get personality, you

get a little bit of energy, man.

I'm not saying Schotty is incredible, but I

gotta give the nod to Schotty over Skip

at this point.

Skip Schumacher, of course, Rangers managers who we're

talking about, the comparison of the two.

How many trades can we make before the

trade deadline?

We need help immediately.

Shane, what's good?

Who do you want us to go get?

Or what do you think we need the

most?

Y'all put it in the comments, put

it in the chat.

I've got my own ideas here.

What do you think we need the most?

A lot of you guys saying Dak choked

this game away, huh?

Just my instant reaction, not a hill that

I'm gonna die on per se, but I

do just feel like the play calling was

terrible on that last sequence.

I see Dak, obviously, with that throw to

Pickens on the fade ball, maybe a little

questionable with the choice, but we don't know

exactly what was set up in the huddle,

what was said over the mic.

But that being said, I definitely feel like

you could've done a lot different once you

got the ball down to the two yard

line on what was a bit of a

gift DPI.

Really feel like you could've ran the ball

at least one time, Schotty allowing that to

be drained down to 25 seconds.

That was weird, that was just odd.

When they had Dak get down to the

20 yard line with about a minute left,

and then they just let 35 seconds run

off the clock.

Shane says we need an edge rusher, safety

help in corners.

Well, they just got downs.

I don't see them.

Well, I mean, I know Hooker is out.

You could go and get another safety.

I just wonder if they're gonna stay right

where they're at with the safeties.

Now, edge rusher?

I could see them going to get an

edge rusher.

Obviously, Crosby was talked about a lot coming

into the season.

Would they go get Max?

You might still see that.

Although the Raiders starting out hot, man.

The Raiders are three and oh.

The Las Vegas Raiders are three and oh.

That is crazy.

Maybe Maxx Crosby isn't going anywhere.

Oh, Noah says that clock was at zero.

I don't care.

I have no clue how they register the

timeout that quickly.

To me, I don't even know if that's

reviewable.

I think if you wanna get really picky,

the clock did show Zay down with one

second left, but do you get the timeout

called in a half second?

I kinda doubt it.

Downs is playing out of position, but my

point isn't necessarily football X's and O's here.

I just think the Cowboys, in their mind,

are gonna think, we just drafted a safety.

We're not gonna go out and get, or

go crazy to get another one.

I mean, I agree, Downs is definitely all

over the field.

I'm not sure exactly if he is in

the best position for himself or not.

Let's see what they decide to do with

him over the next couple of weeks.

I feel like they've gotta make some adjustments

and fast.

I just think, on principle, that's my point

more than anything.

I just think, on principle, they're saying to

themselves, we just invested in a safety in

the draft.

Do we really wanna go out and spend

more capital trying to get another one?

Yeah, I don't know.

The DBs, to me, like, you know, the

corners, DaRon Bland, you know, he had a

couple of nice plays today, but you're just

allowing so much space to these opposing wide

receivers.

Zay Flowers, I know he's good, but he's

wide open on multiple plays, with the last

play, offensively for the Ravens, being no exception.

Dude's wide open.

Well, what are we doing?

What are we doing, man?

Kachow YouTube says, where's Von Miller?

All that hype for what?

To be fair, Vaughn was never gonna be

an every Down guy, but you did kind

of have that notion, that idea that Vaughn

was gonna be terrorizing opposing quarterbacks on third

down today.

Just looking at Vaughn's day at the office,

little bit of a mixed bag, right?

You have, looks like Vaughn with one tackle

today, one solo tackle, and that's it.

I mean, the Cowboys had zero sacks today.

Zero sacks, and it is Lamar Jackson, he

is elusive, but zero sacks today.

You had four tackles for losses.

Barham had a couple of those on those

two big plays in the fourth quarter.

Zero sacks today though, that's huge.

That is huge.

You look at the Ravens and their offense,

you had no turnovers.

I mean, that's big.

You definitely did not put enough pressure on

the Baltimore offense.

You had a couple of nice plays by

Barham there towards the end, but the running

game, Ravens went 38 carries, 192 yards, averaged

five yards a carry.

It's just not a winning combination.

Ravens ultimately end up controlling a lot of

the clock in this one.

Time of possession was actually pretty even, but

different stretches.

You had the Ravens eating up a lot

of clock, running the football often, and really

just wearing down the Cowboys' defense.

Blocked field goal definitely hurt.

Comment there from YouTube, totally agree with that.

And then the Brandon Aubrey penalties hurt.

You had two kick balls out of bounds.

Absolutely.

210, Mike, you appreciate the comment.

We wasted so much time before calling a

timeout.

I mean, it was Baltimore that called the

timeout, but I agree, Dak gets that first

down at about the 20-yard line of

the Ravens.

You've got a minute left, and then you

waste 35 seconds.

That was incredibly poor.

It was incredibly poor clock management, 100%.

First and goal from the one, twice, no

touchdown.

Yup.

Yup.

The red zone.

Red zone woes.

Cowboys, they were three for five in the

red zone today.

So, I mean, they executed, but obviously the

Ravens today, they went four for six.

They had another red zone, one more red

zone opportunity.

Cowboys turned the ball over as well.

They lost a fumble.

You missed a field goal.

Cowboys could have won this game.

I know we can talk about, we can

hemahaw about the one second, zero seconds with

the Zay Flowers play at the end of

the game.

You missed a field goal.

You had 88 yards and penalties.

You lost the turnover battle.

Just not a winning combination when you're leaving

that much points.

You're leaving three points, and you're swinging it

the other direction with the turnover, Javonte Williams.

The Schoonmaker false start was brutal at the

end, putting it at the two yard line,

then to the seven yard line.

You could have just gotten so much more

creative on that last series.

The two fade balls to Pickens, like, come

on now.

That's the best we can draw up?

I get Pickens is really good, CD is

really good.

I don't mind one time trying to hit

a one-on-one.

I really don't mind at all, but twice?

You're trying to go to that well twice.

Easy one second, so let's not start with

that.

I mean, was it?

They showed pretty clear as day on the

replay.

Now, unless you're talking about some kind of

conspiracy with the clock there.

They showed pretty clearly on the replay, Zay

Flowers butt down one second.

Now, do they get the timeout called immediately

after that?

That, to me, is the questionable part.

Are you really granting an instantaneous timeout with

the one second butt on the ground?

That, to me, is where I call it

out.

I mean, look, get the glasses checked if

you didn't see the same thing I did.

The butt is clearly down with one second

left.

They showed that clear as day on the

broadcast.

I don't think that's arguable.

Now, if you wanna argue that they didn't

get the timeout called in time, sure, but

I have no clue why anyone would say,

yeah, his butt was down with zero seconds.

They showed it clear as day on the

broadcast.

It's the timeout and the aftermath that I

have the question about, but I'm not gonna

use that as the excuse.

The Cowboys had so many opportunities to win

this game.

You had penalties at the end.

You had the bell penalty on the other

side defensively.

You had the Schoonmaker false start penalty.

That was huge.

You had poor clock management at the end,

shoddy deck, whoever it was, wasting 35 seconds

off the clock, draining it all the way

down to 25.

And then, I mean, forget the one second,

zero seconds.

Honestly, what was that play call?

What was that scheme that you're running with

seven seconds left, letting Lamar drop back, no

rush, no pressure, and we're letting Zay Flowers

run around totally uncovered in the secondary?

Devin, I'm with you.

Can we just have an average defense?

What a great comment.

Can we just have an average defense?

It doesn't even have to be elite.

Can I just get an average defense?

I'm with you, absolutely.

Story of our life, being a Cowboys fan,

brother.

Yes, sir, yes, sir.

I said it right after the game was

over.

This is a very Cowboys way to finish

this game and to ultimately lose this game.

Very Cowboys finish.

You had an opportunity on offense to win

the game.

You don't.

You have an opportunity on defense to force

overtime with an improbable amount of time left

for Baltimore.

You can't figure it out.

Just totally brutal.

Absolutely brutal.

Cowboys drop to one and two.

Cowboys are the opposite of the Rangers comment

says, with a good offense, but bad defense.

Yeah, it was kind of the opposite, I

agree.

Really bad offense for the Rangers.

And the defense and pitching wasn't great either,

Nate, if we're being honest, kind of at

its moments, but I still appreciate the sentiment,

brother.

Do I think there's an actual chance we

get Joey Porter?

I mean, don't leave anything off the table.

And the Cowboys clearly have made some trades

of late.

Cowboys feel like they definitely need to go

out and get more on this defensive side.

I mean, Christian Parker, I think deserves some

criticism, but at the end of the day,

you probably need to invest a little bit

more in this defense.

You thought maybe you did enough.

You went out and got Caleb Downs.

You were expecting instant impact.

And I know there's some debate about where

he's playing and how the Cowboys are utilizing

him.

I understand.

I think a lot of us felt like,

man, you at least got this defense back

to average with what they did in the

off season.

Apparently not.

Apparently not.

I think the Cowboys definitely need to go

out and try and solidify things defensively before

the trade deadline.

Look, there are reports that you have the

Cowboys with their eyes on Joey Porter.

This is a CBS report right here.

Joey Porter is inactive.

By the way, if you're not familiar, Joey

Porter, cornerback for the Steelers.

Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, has said since July,

he'd be willing to make a trade for

the right player on defense.

Been hinting at a move since then.

Biggest weakness Cowboys probably have defensively is the

corner position, which honestly is why Porter makes

a ton of sense.

This is the final year of Porter's rookie

contract.

So I think he would like to secure

an extension, but Steelers and he are not

coming to an agreement.

He's gonna want top of the market money

according to the CBS article.

So that adds another little wrinkle into it.

But yes, long answer, Porter's not playing right

now.

But I do think some of that has

to do with the contract stuff and some

of that has to do with health, if

I had to guess, if I was just

reading between the lines here.

We'll see what happens.

Defensive scheme, I definitely will say.

General, what's good?

Thanks for the comment.

Defensive scheme, definitely in question.

I don't think it's just strictly a roster

issue.

Could you get better with the roster?

Yes, but I definitely feel like the scheme

and what we've seen, again, what was the

scheme on that last play?

Just run around out there and don't let

them score a touch.

I have no clue what they schemed up

on that last play.

Let Zay Flowers run all over the field.

I mean, to me, that was a ridiculous

final sequence, no doubt.

210Mikey, comment, TikTok here, Quinnen Williams showed up

today, Andy Hustles.

Yeah, I liked Quinnen's game today for sure.

I mean, Williams, you're not gonna say a

player like Williams had a bad game too

often.

It was honestly the secondary today.

I felt like you had decent pressure on

Lamar.

I know they didn't have a lot of

sacks, but Lamar was under duress a number

of times today.

He's elusive.

It's gonna be hard to bring him down,

but nevertheless, you just had that secondary getting

burned.

Continuing on, Cowboys did a lot right today.

They out gained Baltimore by about 40 or

50 yards.

More first downs, less penalties, but more yards.

This is the wild stat to me that

doesn't make a lot of sense.

The Cowboys held the Ravens to three for

nine on third down and oh for two

on fourth down.

The Ravens were three for 11 on third

and fourth down combined, and you still lost

the game.

I mean, look, you did lose the turnover

battle and you did have more penalties in

yardage than the Ravens did, but you made

the Ravens go three for 11 on third

and fourth down combined.

That typically is a winning combination, typically.

George Pickens did have a drop.

Are you talking about the one in the

final drive?

George Pickens, look, he definitely today factored in

in a number of different spots.

You check out the box score here.

We'll give you some of the big names.

You had, first of all, Javonte Williams, 19

for 98, five and looks like five yards,

5.2 yards a carry, long at 22.

I said a week and a half ago,

feed Javante, man.

Just feed that dude.

Javonte Williams is a freaking beast, man.

It's sad that they didn't trust him with

the ball more in that final sequence.

I would have absolutely given Javante the ball

immediately, if not on first down, immediately after,

either first or second down after you got

that DPI that put it at the two.

Run the ball with Javante.

You got a timeout, man.

You've got a timeout.

Run the ball one time, call timeout immediately,

and you still got multiple shots at the

end zone.

Run the ball once.

Javante was cooking all day long.

Did have, I know that, you know, Ferguson

loses the fumble, made up for it a

little bit with the touchdown.

CeeDee Lamb, 112 yards, Pickens, 82.

You had a great offensive day up until

the very last drive, which sadly is really

often the only thing that matters.

How do you finish the ball game?

How do you finish?

Jeez.

I do know that, you know, that Ferguson

one was absolutely debatable.

I do understand.

I mean, look, it is what it is.

At this point, you feel like they were

able to overcome, even if you think that

was a bad call, they're able to overcome

it.

It's really just the defense and then the

offensive sequence at the end that stands out

the most to me.

Obviously we can nitpick a lot of this

stuff, but that's what stands out to me

the most.

Yes, yes, there are moments in the game

in the first quarter, second quarter that you

look at, but Cowboys had this game.

When they flipped the momentum and went up

28-24, you got to make a stop

there.

Have to make a stop.

I agree with this YouTube comment.

We are capable of beating good teams, but

today I will edit it a little bit

to you just weren't sharp enough at the

end of the game.

You just didn't close.

You definitely have the talent to beat good

teams in this league, but you just didn't

close.

Do I think Cavante should be more involved,

TikTok comment here.

Look, speed kills.

I think the ways that they got him

involved today, you'd love to see a little

bit more of it.

I'd love to see Turpin involved in some

of the jet sweeps, in some of the

quick screens.

I think if you can get him out

in space and just let him make moves

on people and get to the edge, that

is his sweet spot.

I think you could make him much more

of a gadget type player than what you

have him right now.

He touched the ball two times today.

Feels like you should try and get the

ball in his hands at least four or

five times a ball game.

KaVontae Turpin had a rushing touchdown today.

Did have two targets, caught one of them.

I'd like to see them get him more

involved.

I absolutely would.

Cowboys defense, John says, TikTok comment here.

No secondary or pass rush.

Cowboys can't even beat the Giants team as

trash.

I can't decide if the Giants loss hurts

more or if this loss hurts more.

I feel like the Giants, just because they're

the division rival and everybody's watching Sunday night

football season opener, but this loss is pretty

painful because he could have legitimately won this

game.

Legitimately could have won this game.

Another comment, should we go get Porter Jr.?

They gotta improve.

They have to improve the cornerbacks.

I miss Gilmore.

I know that Gilmore was aging, but it

felt like they were competent when they had

Bland and Gilmore.

I believe that was the Bland record setting

year where he was paired with Gilmore.

That's what we're talking about.

He doesn't need to be the best in

the league, but with Bland and Gilmore, it

at least felt like competent.

It felt like you at least weren't gonna

get dog walked in the secondary every single

time.

I miss Gilmore.

Now I know he's older and maybe the

2026 version of Stephon Gilmore, you maybe aren't

interested in, but if they could rewind a

couple of years and just get that type

of player back, be a big fan.

Jadeveon Clowney, I think would be huge if

they would have retained his services.

Like I understand, money's involved and they definitely

had their sights set on extending Quinn and

Williams.

They had some other things they wanted to

get done, but man, bringing back Clowney would

have been huge.

That would have been awesome.

He really impressed last year.

They took a little bit of a flyer

on him.

That would have been big for this defense.

You felt like Clowney did help get the

pressure that a lot of you guys are

talking about was absent today.

He was a beast.

Kachow YouTube says this definitely hurts more in

Rio and had possession less than a minute

first and goal after.

I think it hurts more because you had

the opportunity to win the game multiple times.

Jake X comment here.

I would much rather have money spent on

defense over attack pickings and overspent on D

-line.

The investment into the defense is needed.

They have a lot of money invested in

pickings, in CD and in DAC.

They definitely need a little bit more invested

into the defense.

At this point, you might have to get

creative.

O-line definitely.

Feel like the O-line played well enough

today for sure.

You had a lot of really good runs

today.

Look, they averaged five yards a carry.

Cowboys ran the ball 30 times and got

a buck 50.

Basically five yards a carry.

O-line, I felt was solid today.

You had, let's see, how many sacks on

the other side?

You had one sack today and you ran

the ball for 150 yards.

O-line was actually pretty solid today.

I think we ought to give them some

flowers.

Coaching, Tim, I think is definitely what I

have under the microscope the most.

You can blame the special teams, I think,

a little bit.

You missed a field goal, Brandon Aubrey. [Editor’s correction: Aubrey’s 59-yard field-goal attempt was blocked, not missed.]

You kicked the ball out of bounds a

couple of times.

Who knows what that field was like?

I wonder if you interviewed Aubrey.

I know that it would come off as

excuses to a lot of people, but I'm

just kind of curious if the field affected

Brandon a little bit, just not like him.

You know, he can hit it through the

uprights from where they set up on a

kickoff, man.

Keep going.

DJ, good one.

Good one.

Dave Flowers did pretty much run wild in

the secondary, no doubt.

210 Mikey comment, why did Aubrey do it

multiple times?

If he knew that, he should have touched

back.

I'm not sure if the strategy there, if

what was the strategy?

It's hard to tell.

You can imagine he's trying to hit it

in that landing zone.

I think, I mean, that is the, I

think the goal for most kickers these days.

Maybe just not able to correct in the

middle of the game.

Who knows?

A TikTok comment here, D coordinator is bad.

I think that that is the common take

here.

Christian Parker not making a very good first

impression.

Not making a very good first impression at

this point.

All right, next week, let's get into it.

We've already talked through this one.

Last 94 seconds were brutal.

Baltimore retook the lead, 31-28.

Cowboys tie it up after a really bad

sequence down there at the goal line.

The Schoonmaker penalty, the questionable play calling, wasting

35 seconds with less than a minute left.

Yikes.

I have a tough time hanging this one

on Dak.

I know there's a lot of people that

are talking about Dak Prescott choking this game

away.

Look, he quarterbacked the 95-yard drive that

put Dallas ahead.

He got Dallas back in scoring position.

I think they should have ran the ball

with Javante immediately after the DPI puts him

down on the two-yard line.

I did not think the play calling was

on point.

The final stat line I know isn't gonna

scream superstar performance with Dak Prescott, but in

my view, he repeatedly put Dallas back in

position to win the football game.

The defense allowing 34 points, that's gonna be

tough to overcome on most days.

276, one touchdown, no interceptions for Dak.

He's the easy target to me.

He's the low-hanging fruit of this game.

I think blaming Dak is a pretty typical

thing to do when the Cowboys lose.

You peel back the layers of this one

a little bit.

Cowboys don't even have a shot without what

Dak was able to manage against the Baltimore

defense.

Dak didn't turn the ball over, led multiple

drives that probably should've won you the game,

but Dak definitely has some audible ability.

We know that.

We saw him do it quite often on

that last drive.

Hard for me to just go all in

on the Dak Prescott criticism considering some of

the other factors.

Again, the play calling very suspect by Schotty

and company down there within the five.

You also have the 35 seconds wasted.

That could've obviously been something that you fixed.

Who knows?

I would love to hear the breakdown on

what happened when Dak gets that first down

at the 20-yard line or 19 and

a half, and then they proceeded to waste

35 seconds audible-ing and calling different things.

I feel like Dak really is the only

reason you had a shot in this game.

Yeah, Barham was amazing, but look, Dak drives

the 95-yarder and the one to get

the Cowboys within range to tie it.

It's really hard for me to go all

out on Dak Prescott criticism today, but he's

an easy target.

Low-hanging fruit for sure.

I know he's gonna get crap.

He always does.

But I walk away today feeling much more

strongly about the coaching, the special teams, and

the defense in general, which also goes back

to coaching.

We have to also, I think, really try

our best to see some silver linings.

I know it's hard to do in a

loss like this.

We already talked about Javante.

I have been on the page.

He needs to be a much bigger focal

point.

I'm glad he was tonight.

It's honestly a shame that they had to

lose this game, Javonte Williams, with an incredible

effort.

Defense, they gave us the moment.

Well, let's say this Barham gave us the

moment.

That was probably the best play of the

season, stuffing Derrick Henry there at the goal

line, but then the rest of the unit

just could not rise when you needed them

to the most.

Schoonmaker with the penalty.

These are all things that I would definitely

go to before I criticize Dak Prescott.

Christian Parker, another thing that I would criticize

before Dak Prescott.

Lot, I think, that you can really gnaw

at before you pick the Dallas Cowboys quarterback

apart.

Zay Flowers coming back.

It's really bad timing.

They were missing him a lot and he

really made the Cowboys pay today.

Cowboys do not have a great secondary and

it is a problem.

Joey Porter, you might have Jerry on the

phone with him right now with that Pittsburgh

front office trying to figure out how to

get him to Dallas, man.

I think the DBs, definitely a unit that

can be improved at this point.

Cowboys forgot, Terry says from TikTok, what quarterback

they're facing.

How do you give up a 28 yard

catch with seven seconds?

You just needed to apply some pressure to

Lamar.

Like the fact that they didn't give any

pressure and they just let Lamar back there,

you needed to bring it.

If they weren't gonna go, let the DBs

sit back, but bring some pressure.

Make Lamar have to run around a little

bit because if he runs around, even just

for a couple more seconds, the game's over

and you're going to overtime, right?

Regulations over.

Not bringing any pressure there was just a

weird decision.

All you had to do was bring pressure,

flush him out, make him have to think,

make him have to make a quick throw.

It would have gone so much differently, but

they kind of just do the bring four,

rush four, whatever it was, and then have

a bunch of people back in coverage and

Zay is able to just go right through

and cut right through the zone.

The pass rush was bad.

Seth, I'm with you on that.

It was not consistent enough.

Mistakes weren't constant tonight.

They were expensive.

You had less penalties than the Ravens, but

you had more penalty yardage.

Schoonmaker false start was just brutal.

That was huge.

I don't understand, and I don't know if

he's gonna continue to get a ton of

reps.

I mean, you already have Spann-Ford.

You have clearly Fergie.

I know Schoonmaker's been valuable in blocking and

in run-type situations, and I know he

had a catch today, too.

That penalty is just not unforgivable, but it

is brutal, and for a guy that's trying

to probably get more playing time, don't know

how this is gonna convince the coaching staff

to allow much more of that.

Ka-chow, Brian Schottenheimer said on Dak Prescott

third down pass to Pickens, he was throwing

it away.

Schotty said Pickens was open, but Prescott is

taught to throw it away.

I'm gonna have to go to that comment.

I'm gonna have to check that out a

little bit more.

We'll have to dive into the context to

that one.

All right, let's see.

Overshown, Durant, Hooker, definitely factors defensively being out.

I do think that belongs in this evaluation.

The defense did hold Derrick Henry under 90

yards, created some goal lines, created the goal

line stand, created the stop there immediately after

it, but it just doesn't excuse the flowers,

reception there at the end, the final Baltimore

touchdown drive.

I think both realities can live together.

The defense wasn't good enough, but you also

say to yourself, three key players out, Durant,

Hooker, Overshown, who knows how this game changes

if they're in, but I would like to

think having those three guys might be worth

three points.

Alex, appreciate you, man.

And look, for the common fan, I'm sure

it was a great game.

I'm sure it was.

Von Miller, I know a lot of you

guys are talking about Vaughn.

I mean, he is not going to be

an every down guy.

I think he had a tackle today, but

we were definitely sold like he was gonna

be a monster on third down, and you

just didn't feel like that ever really happened

today.

Shane, I'm with you on that.

I don't put a lot of stock in

the post-game interviews either.

Most of those guys just say a whole

lot of nothing.

If you don't follow me for the Rangers,

we say the same thing when we do

the Rangers post-games.

You usually get a whole lot of nothing

in the post-game pressers.

Heartbreak today for the Cowboys and Rangers.

On deck, we got Houston, by the way.

We'll end on this.

On deck is Houston.

Dallas now one and two.

Travels to Houston next Sunday, away game.

They are gonna be playing at noon central

time.

Houston's oh and three.

They lost to Indianapolis today.

I wouldn't say they are harmless.

Will Anderson, dude is a freaking monster.

He had two strip sacks and recovered a

fumble against Indianapolis today.

They are gonna be circling him big time.

That pass rush is lethal, and they can

absolutely ruin the Cowboys day offensively if they

get behind the chains even more so.

Nico Collins was inactive today for the Texans.

Week four availability is a little bit in

question, but clearly if the Texans can get

Nico Collins back, that opens up their offense

quite a bit, and we have said multiple

times today, the secondary, kind of the weakness

here.

Pass rush, yes, and the pass rush helps

the secondary.

That needs to be said as well.

When you have a good pass rush, it

naturally creates better situations for your defensive secondary.

When you don't rush the passer with enough

consistency, your secondary ultimately suffers.

If they get Nico Collins back next week,

if the Texans do, that does not bode

well for the Cowboys.

For Dallas, I think the silver lining, the

encouraging factor here, the carryover is Javonte Williams.

You know that you've got a little bit

of a security blanket handing him the ball.

He was excellent today, almost five yards per

carry, 19 carries for 98 yards.

He is giving them a real rushing attack

that allows them to control the clock offensively.

Dallas won the time of possession game today,

not by much, but against a team that

runs the ball as much as the Ravens,

I do think you say to yourself, impressive

that they're able to control the clock like

they did.

Look, none of these make you feel better

about the loss, but at least somewhat of

a building block going into next week.

I mean, the uncomfortable elephant in the room

here, though, is just the defense, Christian Parker,

the scheming, and Dallas had a four-point

lead in the fourth quarter.

They got the big goal line stand, the

huge moment, had all the momentum, and they

still left Brazil without a win.

One and three, though, would feel worlds different

than two and two.

You get to two and two, I think

you're feeling a lot better.

You go to one and three, I don't

know what the percentages are on teams making

the playoffs starting one and three, but I

can't imagine they're great.

Spann-Ford, definitely a bright spot.

I think they ought to just roll with

Spann-Ford and Ferguson.

I know Ferguson had the possession weird, was

it a possession, was it fumble play?

But honestly, I'd be okay if they just

ran with those two.

Schoonmaker, dude, the false start in the most

important sequence of the game, really, dude?

It happens, but it just can't happen in

those big moments, man.

It can't.

Realists, appreciate the follow.

Thank you so much, by the way, for

everybody that's followed while we're on the show

here.

Let's land this thing.

Today told me Cowboys offense has a lot

of different options, a lot of different ways

to function than it showed in the first

two weeks.

You had Javonte Williams, legitimate rushing attack.

Dak kept bringing them back.

You always felt like the Cowboys, if they

had the ball, were going to have an

opportunity to score.

I really didn't feel a lot of doubt

that Dak was going to get them into

field goal range at minimum, and that is

what happened.

You didn't steal the deal, but you felt,

I think, a lot better today looking at

the offense than you did after week one,

for example.

CeeDee and Pickens both mattered.

Were they perfect tonight?

No, but they both had pretty big games.

200 yards combined between the two of them,

204 to be exactly, just under 200, 194

yards.

Impressive day from them.

It's just really too bad they had to

waste some of these offensive performances tonight.

Unsure about the defense?

Big question mark, especially against elite quarterbacks.

Holding Henry to 89 yards, definitely a bright

spot, but you ultimately allowed five yards of

carry, 5.1 to Baltimore in their rushing

attack.

Not good enough.

Are you able to be a little bit

better, just average, as one of y'all

put it on the show today?

Could you just be average?

You don't even have to be an elite

defense with the offense and the weapons that

we have.

Just be average, man.

Next thing I'm watching, I'll go back and

check out some of the post-game interviews.

I doubt we'll find a whole lot interesting,

but we'll see what happens with Houston next

week.

Nico Collins, definitely gonna be curious if he

plays.

That is going to be a big factor

in the Houston-Dallas game coming up next

weekend.

0-3 Texans.

That would be embarrassing to drop the 1

-3 and lose to a winless squad.

Texans definitely have some pieces.

We talked about Will Anderson as well.

He had a big game today against Indianapolis.

Gotta get back on track, man.

Gotta get back on track.

Sam, I'm with you.

Losing this game with seven seconds left just

never should have happened.

Appreciate all y'all hanging out.

Thank you so much for all the comments

today.

Thank you for those that shared the live

while we were going and those who followed

as well.

And this is what we do pretty much

every weekend.

So if you like the vibe, hit that

follow button, hit that subscribe button.

We'd love to have you back next week.

I cover multiple other sports and teams on

the channel, by the way.

So you're going to see content from different

teams come across your feed if you follow

today.

Won't be all Cowboys stuff, but we will

be cooking with the Cowboys quite a bit

because baseball season, at least for the Rangers,

is now over.

We do some off-season Rangers stuff.

Irene, by the way, appreciate the gifts.

Thank you so much.

Not needed, but much appreciated for sure.

Definitely grateful.

That being said, when we have the college

football Saturday come around this weekend, no Longhorns.

We cover the Texas Longhorns here on the

show.

Red River coming up in a couple of

weeks.

We also do Dallas Mavericks basketball.

Mavericks start up next month.

And then we do some Rangers off-season

stuff.

Every Wednesday is a Rangers off-season show.

So you'll see content from all those teams

come across your feed.

Dallas Stars, we definitely cheer for, but do

not cover on the show.

I'm a hockey casual at best.

I like watching hockey, but definitely not a

student of the game.

Don't want to get over my head.

Although when the Stars are doing well, obviously

I'm happy and they'll be getting fired up

here in about a month's time as well.

So look, hey, appreciate all you guys.

Thank you so much for your support of

the show and the channel.

And we will be back.

Next time I'll be live will probably be,

like I said, Wednesday for the Rangers off

-season show, but you will see a lot

of reels coming your way over the next

week's time.

And then we'll be live again, fourth quarter

of the Cowboys-Texans game.

Hope you'll come back and hang out.

And I hope you have a blessed week

ahead.

And as I always say, attend every show.

God bless and go Cowboys.
