Is we had Darby the gambler, Our two phenomenal episodes of this show.
Um This is uh an interesting re tread.
Well, you're not, were you not down for Darby the younger?
I'll tell you when I, when I when I left off the plane, what?
He's like a hovering guy calling himself a butler.
Pretty in.
Pretty good.
That's a good moment.
I'm a little, I didn't realize.
I can't believe it's got the exact same thing.
Who names to kids?
The exact same name?
His name is Terrence right.
Is it?
His last name is Darby.
He's Terrence Darby.
Oh, I missed that entirely.
And that's why he might have.
I might have missed it.
I was You have no idea.
I spent these two whole fucking episodes wondering why the hell he had teas all over himself.
Okay.
Yeah, his name is Terrence.
Okay.

Terence.

The Darby.
This surname.
That makes a lot more sense.

I spent two episodes wondering why the hell he was covered in teas like notes.
Like spelled in a different language like oh God.
I remember there's a there's a point where um he goes like and do you know why my brother never said Terence, let's play some cards.
Like I had to stop like wait his name is Terrence.
I remember that line but I didn't remember him even saying his name in it.
Yeah so his name is Terence T.
D'Arby and his older brother's name is Daniel J.
D'Arby.
Oh my they sound like they're so normal.
Danny J.
And terrance.
T.
Um Yeah td his stupid td earrings.
Um Also hold up Breaking Enemy news.
Uh Do you hear, do you know what I have on the ticker here?
Matt, what's on?
Why don't you can still have a ticker God.
Uh it's hard to uninstall those.
It was a bad you by five miles of ticker tape.
You're not gonna you gotta use that stuff.
You got to use it.
So I've still got the scan paper.

So I'm reading the ticker tape here.
Um Good news for everybody that wants to not have multiple platforms.
Jojo's bizarre adventure.
The golden Win, jo jo five or season four because the enemy is weird is coming to netflix.
This monday november 1st.
Nice.
I uh affecting us.
Not at all.
I was trying to say it's like for everybody should go not rush and watch it.
Um But yeah, I saw when I was watching my jojo's today, it had a little note that said season four coming on monday and I was like oh thanks netflix, like that doesn't affect me at all.
I'm glad you have it.
It was it was a little worried that I have to get crunchy roll for a season of the show but it's there So good for everybody who wants to see the the tail of JoJ five, yep Alrighty, so let's let's jump into this thing, you are you ready to jump in episode 40?
Let's do it DRB, the player part one.
We return to the awesome image of DRB hovering at them just floating for inexplicable reasons, he's just floating.
Um And then we get quick little exchange like pulling off, tries to cut me, Someone's a big playing cards somehow and then turns into a small playing card and then he had it, it looks big for that could be like there's a scene where paul Graham holds his hand to like the camera and it looks like he's got the biggest hand in the whole gosh, darn world.
So maybe it was, it's weird perspective stuff going on.
I guess it could have been close to the camera.
Could have been closed hole.
Opening scene is weird though, like it's something about the animation of this like whole opening scene, like I don't know if you notice that when they keep doing all these quick cuts back and forth between Darby and the group just standing there in their backs.
Well he's talking, yeah I can't tell if like this is a budget saver before the things that are to come.
It almost feels like they're cutting out something that they had to censor.
Like it's that kind of that abrupt of a weird cut.
It is definitely orange with a lot of re training ground with Darby's eyes just moving.
Yeah.
You notice this right?
Yeah.
Wait it out.
There's a lot of little things, let me be clear here.
There's a lot of little things that bug me about these two episodes.
Um But yeah we got a dumb exchange being polygraphing him and uh he then goes like I'm the younger D'Arby and it was like there's another Darby and he's like yeah that dude was my older brother.
Anyway he's a gambler, I'm a player, I don't mind that he's dead because I worked for D.
O.
And I guess that means we still got beef not dead beaten like this exact term like being tired, like he didn't even say retired like beaten irrecoverable or something.
Yeah he'll never play cards again again.
Um But yeah we're gonna think we then politely asked everyone to come into the mansion and then and I do love this and this is a great moment so much so that even after all has to be like, whoa, this is new.
He just summons his stand.
Um eh tom uh a top shows up and he's got like vents on his face and he lets off some anime Steam Stand has his initials on its face.
No one else has to stand that personalized.
It's a very personalized stand.
I'm not missing it right?
Like I don't think somewhere on Star Platinum is like JJ written somewhere Jason star platinum, it's on the, but underneath the lowing cloth.
Uh he's got the star, he's got the star under there.
Oh yeah, he does a child.
But yeah, after all goes like, oh ship he's, that's his stand, we can see a stand, he's not hiding it, why isn't he hiding it?
And uh a pot hearing abdel like spirit break paragraphs like RC we let your sorrow go first, go get em buddy.
Um and then we have a thing that I can't tell if it's a translation error or if I'm blind.
But um Star Platinum goes to attack and like DRB is like you're going to use your left hand and but he punches with his right hand and everyone asked like, oh my God, he could see the future.
Did, did your translations say that?
Well here's the thing he made, he was betting with his stand, by the way I interpret it was Darby said he was wrong.
Like he admitted afterwards I guess wrong because it sounded like he was betting like with his, my interpretation was that he was betting with his stand which hand joe joe was going to use and I was like oh I guess that was wrong.
Oh I understand this more now.
Yes, I get it and it was a really nice, I like that scene too because it just completely threw everyone off, it's like wait a minute, you can't know what joe just gonna do.
Ah But the main thing that really surprised about is a tom is actually our atom is actually really really quick.
It's able to dodge star platinum which everyone's like that's not cool.
That can't happen.
What really happens though is uh he's able to grab onto star platinum in the yanks joe taro into a black hole or login hole if you will never forget.
Um And uh coin and joseph tried to save him but that gets them nominated to join to join them in the hole and they get sucked in the ground.
My favorite part I guess has to come back later.
It still bugs me is while they're getting sucked down, I'm assuming it's joseph is shouting this, I think they acknowledged it when they say Mr joe starr but he was shouting if we're not back in 10 minutes, burned this down.
Yeah he goes after all after all, if you can hear me, I don't know why I guess he has ever played Spiderman.
I hear, J Jonah Jameson After all, if you hear me burn this place to the ground in 10 minutes to the ground.
They never referenced that once in these two episodes again.
No one is concerned about the house being burned down.
Yeah, there's no like ticking.
We gotta beat him in nine minutes for Abdel is gonna burn the mansion to the ground.
Um And then I wrote in my notes like, oh we got a two groups situation like Midler and uh the last time they split the group up, you think that's what's going to happen?
We're gonna catch up with the other group with the same old story.
Yeah, I think the yeah, I think we're gonna Meanwhile paul, giraffe, Abdel and Gigi are fighting another stand user.
I think that's what's going to happen.
This is a paw.
He is, he got a, he had a great episode.
You did a great job.
Um I also want to say paul man looking for the bird that made me have to chew off my own foot.
We don't hear Iggy talk this episode though.
For the brief moments that we have him.
Uh Everyone is sucked underground.
My note.
I was really confused my incident.
Desert.
Is it a beach?
What's going on?
And then immediately you see you, some game consoles, you're like, oh he's Darby.
The player, He said he, Hey, guess what esports existed in the 80s is what we're finding out here.
He's a gamer, I don't see him drink any game or fuel or talk about cash app.
God that was so great if he had sponsors.
Um Anyway, he's a video gamer, he offers them a drink of wine, which he tells them they are poisoned.
We had a great little sequence.
I do like the like um we're joseph asked him a bunch of questions like can't say wouldn't know.
Uh the only thing we get out of them is just like, are we in an illusion, yep, is it your stand, nope?
Which state is it gonna say?
Is it deals, nope.
Uh huh.
But yeah, it's it's a thing.
And then at the end of the little exchange, he goes like, I'll let you know that I'm not like my brother, I don't cheat and I don't lie.
Um but they don't have enough time to savor that because we didn't check out.
Uh I think my favorite sequence of this whole episode, uh we get to check out his his doll closet, how do you feel about his doll closet matt?
He's got, he's got some dolls, this they were animated very differently than the rest of the episode.
Oh my God, this is like some bizarre stuff.
Yeah, that's a good way to put it.
It's um is it's like they have, they're not animated so much as they are, like someone's applying like a warping tool To the two pictures.
Um But yeah, to be very clear like his brother, he also collects souls, but unlike his brother who put them into coins or I thought they were poker chips.
They call them coins.
Maybe I was wrong.
Um, but that's a good point.
I think there were coins in his book.
They were using poker chips for the game.
Yeah, I guess that's what it was.
And he goes like, yeah, no, that's, that's lame and boring.
I put him in dolls so I can, you know, move them around and talk to them there, there my little buddies and then we kind of get like an extended back story of a couple of the dolls.
We have Sonya who's a lady doll who we get what a great like she does a little the dolls, I like moves in a weird way.
We get like a squish noise when her teeth start.
It's awesome.
It's great.
It's terrifying, but it's great.
So near the doll.
Were also introduced to dr Elliott who was a serial killer and a guy named Tetsu Hiccough, who was a pro video gamer that Darby still took down.
So this guy collects people from all walks of life.
Good, creepy.
Oh yeah, I forgot I should have mentioned this.
Doctor Elliott.
He made the stethoscope for him.
He made a little doll stethoscope.
It's free time.
It's like, you know what?
That guy needs little stethoscope, that's his hobby.
You know, y'all gotta have a hobby, his hobbyist dolls and murder and murder passions.
He has two passions.
He killed eight people before he turned him into a doll.
How he got that guy to do a game of chance is beyond me.
Uh maybe it's like Sherlock Holmes where it's like you play this game and there's two pills and he end up as a doll.
Um, bah bah bah bah bah bah uh and they're all very much like, man, this guy is like really cool about just letting his stuff just kind of sit out there and he's not hiding his stand.
He's not hiding the fact that you can do the dull thing.
He's also just kind of letting them know.
It's like, hey, if you guys give up, I'm a Dahlia.
That's my deal.
You quit.
You get dolled.
We're still getting that weird animation from me.
They get a lot of like his body holding still and then his eyes doing a quick start moving.
Yeah, it's unsettling me.
Maybe they saved a lot of the budget for the dolls or maybe that wasn't expensive.
I can tell that both looked cheaper and more expensive.
Yeah, I saw the God, I saw this episode yesterday.
I look at the wiki on it too.
I remember who, but they had like a guest animator for the, for the dolls.
Really they needed to bring bring in somebody.
I don't know if I forget how it was.
It sounded.
It was a guest animator and it was someone who works with the rocky either in the manga or on other projects or something.
Like it was someone like they were all like oh yeah it's really awesome.
We got this guy in and which I could remember something more specific than that.
But yeah it was like a guest artist just for the doll part.
That's really cool.
It's worth it.
Yeah.
Um But yeah that's that's that's the big doll kind of thing.
We got our steaks and then things quickly uh move forward basically he nominates cat coin for the humorous reason that cat coin isn't family but I think it's funny.
He's like he's not family.
Um And then best boys like whatever.
I'm the biggest gamer and I bet my soul on video capes.
Can you like imagine what the humorous fan dub of this episode would be like I'm the lead ist no hack sores my man.
Yeah the idea that cat coin, I do like that that's in his background is like I play all these games on my own time.
Um It is funny.
There's no fighting game I guess that makes sense.
Um two redundant for this animal.
Yeah I guess.
Well this is already kind of there's literally another Darby.
Yeah sure but they're not they're not playing poker.
Maybe I'm being unfair about my hatred of there being a second to R.
B like he doesn't play games with, chances are not betting or gambling the veggie games.
Yeah it's a game of skill.
Exactly.
And we do get confirmed that it is a game of skill because joseph uses Purple Hermit to test the T.
V.
The video game consoles the table.
He's like yep.
All right.
One more thing.
One more power is emerging right now from Purple Hermit because now it can scan things you know that's a good point.
Yeah I kind of just let that fly.
It just keeps coming up with new uses.
This thing is awesome.
It was just like psych ah graffiti lets me know if something is cheating.
Purple Purple Herman is the coolest.
I'm a big fan of Purple Hermit.
Somebody's mama noises when he summons it to which is I'm not sure what it's supposed to be on there.
Maybe he just can't break the habit.
Um And uh it is revealed that DRB I guess I knew they were coming because he's already made Akiko and all that is good and creepy.
You think he had installed?
Should have the one who really just planning on the cat coin.
Do you think that he specifically grabbed caqueta joseph because he was like oh I made dolls for them too.
Um Or yeah I don't know or does he have like a polygraph and abdel and does he have an Iggy doll.
Do you think he has an Iggy doll back there.
Um I bet that's the one he forgot.
Oh I didn't make one for the dog.
Gosh, darn it.
Dogs don't have souls.
They're all soul.
Anyway, we're given the amazing revelation that they are going to play a game called F mega, which is just a racing game.
We got a whole bunch of chat.
You can tell that I wasn't feeling because my notes are, Darby's really chatty And that must cover like 3-4 minutes.
It's revealed that he's going to use his standard turbo tap because there it's I guess unlike Mario kart where you need to press at the right time to get a speed boost at the start of the race in F mega.
You do a hyper tap before the race starts to get an extra speed boost, calculus doesn't do it at all.
I'm surprised you didn't lose just then and there he's like he's tapping, I didn't think to tap.
Oh my goodness.
And using his stand to do it somehow makes it super fast.
Yes, his stand is able to do it actually buckle in for these next two episodes because there's a lot of stan's tapping buttons real fast.
Yeah, but I'm gonna allow you to kick in at any moment.
You want to talk about how weird that is.
Um basically uh the race starts, darby immediately gets an advantage from his toe tapping.
Uh And then they both starts uh they both kind of like a racing and it looks like a coin is kind of screwed because like he's behind him.
but the cake or some, it's great horrific to do a 3 60 Other than just like, I don't know why he needed to summon a stand to do this, but it looks like all he does is just do like a 360 loop on the D pad, you wouldn't understand because that is what is called a pro gamer move.
Oh my God, he hacks, he does a pro gamer move, he does a frame perfect input and it causes this car to spin in a way that seems really goofy for this game and he knocks, he knocks Darby and where they're basically neck and neck and they humorously, they both start button mashing because I thought part of this was like, it's faster than, it's as fast or faster than star platinum, so that's why I can button mash button green caravan is or hair, fan green is willing to get squished in there, it's able to match button just as much and uh at this point in the fight, joseph has just become Speedwagon as he describes things that are happening on the screen.
Oh my God, yes, that's my first, that's my thought for the both of these episodes, joseph is like the greatest sidemen, we got explosions of the next one when he starts typing.
Oh yeah, well he's full blown summiting.
The ghosts of Speedwagon, just like, oh he's moving, he's spinning, he's doing nothing.
Um Just my youth training under Master Speedwagon in the art of hype.
I know how to hype anything up.
That's my job.
Well, no, actually we'll see very soon that he fails at that.
Um, anyway, in case we forgot why cat coin is still with the gang were given a the narrator cuts in and was like, hey, let's take a quick little pause to check in on the the brain of cat coin.
And cocoon has a little flashback to what he met video.
And my favorite part of this flashback is that pet shop, is there real quick?
We could see pet shop super fast.
Um and basically we discover that maybe the reason that people kept saying deal was so charismatic is that before he flushed.
But yeah, he like got up went your ear and then like, let's be friends.
Mm hmm.
Like a cannon described it as he talked to me as if I was a child and I loved it.
It was so good.
Talk to me, daddy, Do you talk to me put your flour in my forehead.
Uh but yeah, we get we get that.
And he basically just is like, and because I'm really embarrassed that happen, I have to keep fighting video.
And that's my motivation.
Yes.
The uh, like something Darby had mentioned something about him.
Not like it's amazing how you've overcome all your personal fears.
Most people don't do that.
It was like, I haven't overcome my personal fears.
I'm just better than I was just a better person.
That's what happens when you almost lose your eyes become a better person.
We get more monologue, if we get more joseph hardcore, like being Speedwagon and it all culminates with like the fact that they approach this game just seems weird if I could say if I could as someone who has played a game or two in his day, um It culminates with the fact that in this race course at one point you hit a tunnel that makes you go 800 times faster I think is what they said, maybe eight times.
It was a lot.
It was, it was a big number, it was a ridiculous number.
And the whole premise is like if he gets behind him, even though they have three laps and let me be very clear here, they have three laps like he could have slow and steady this somehow or saved his spin trick for the finish line, but no, we got a big thing where it's like, oh you gotta get and basically joseph is helping, he's like if you don't get in that tunnel you're gonna explode, just let him go ahead of you and um yeah, again we get a Goofy thing where kate coyne is able to uh Like get his car up on two wheels and also get in the tunnel and he's driving on the wall and above him.
Um I don't know, I think it's weird.
the tunnel itself other than having a speed boost apparently has a cannon and minds when it gets dark and you're and you're not able to see, you can't see there's minds and as a candidate the end which I didn't understand what they were explaining it like there's a cannon, what does that mean?
Why is there like also this is a game Kick Coid plays in his free time and enjoys this game.
Sounds terrible.
Mm And I guess just at the peak of 89 racing games pat and I know it's not your eraser but I know it's not match match car box game.
Oh that's not what I'm thinking of.
Hot wheels is they're hot wheels racer on the super Nintendo probably was what am I thinking of?
I have it in my I have it somewhere in my house.
I have no idea.
It was a top down um toi racing car game you play little maybe those micro machines, you named a whole bunch of things that make tiny race cars but I have no idea about the video games man, I'm gonna have to, it's it's probably micro machines.
Yes, yes, I found it on Ebay.
I remember the cart.
I think this is in my house anyway this should have been an episode where they're playing micro machines is all I'm trying to say and it probably looked like that in the manga.
Where were we even oh yeah they're in the tunnel things get dark.
Um I had trouble feeling any kind of tension on this because it did feel like echoing was kind of screwed.
Uh they, they bump into each other a bunch and there's some stuff and they leave the tunnel and the thing that I do like is they do like a little like speed racer.
Both Bitcoin and the Darby kind of appear on the screen holding their controllers and joseph joseph announces that uh that kicked that Darby is ahead.
You could just call him Terrence.
Terrence is ahead by one car length as we go to call him.
Terence.
I felt like the way you put him in his place.
Oh, terrance.
Don't miss the absolute best hype moment from joseph there where he's like, I don't know if the animation on joseph's face here is fantastic.
He's like, yeah you're doing, you're in the tunnel, you made it with him and that pisces off, Terrence was like, come on, I can't concentrate.
And joseph just makes the best ship eating grin and it's like, oh you can't concentrate, can you?
Well, maybe I, maybe a little bit louder joseph is a really good, I just, I can't say how is Speedwagon it with the best of the Speedwagon clan.
Um I'm just really proud of joseph because he, he at least does this.
Well, he brings, he brings the joy.
Um and I guess the other thing that I just kind of glossed over by apologies, I'm doing a bad job as host.
There's a scene where they both know the cannons coming and they're doing a countdown that no one knows why they're counting down and then the cannon fires directly ahead so you have to dodge and they do a little spin thing.
Yeah, I'm still not sure why that cannon work was it aimed was in the tunnel ahead of them and the shot back at them or was it behind them shooting at them as after they passed it?
It's ahead of them.
So that just means that if you play this game you're always going to die the first time you play it and that sounds like a bad video game.
I mean I don't I don't like I can't, it's an anime video games.
I know it's an anime video game.
I'm still yet again.
I don't know why you being so weird about this.
I don't know why I expected more.
Um But yeah it just seems kind of dumb.
The episode ends, you wanna you wanna get to part two, Part two, more terrence anyway, the episode opens where we were before the both of their cars have flown out of the tunnel and in the air and um Bitcoin is like I'm gonna do my spin tech again and he spins into terrance's car and it knocks it knocks Terrence into the air and then stupidly Kilcoyne lands and then just parks parks his car, doesn't do anything and he's like, hey, I'm, I'm totally one, I'm the coolest and the Darby is like uh this, this was all part of my plan and apparently his plan was to trick a coin into Mario Kart sequence, breaking him is when he hit him, it knocked into the air and he landed further down the track.
This is probably the part I've got lost the most on was this moment here because it was just too much turnabout because as much as you weren't involved, it weren't really getting into the tension in the previous episode.
There was a lot because there was a constant back and forth, I was like, well I got ahead of you, but if I do this move, I'm going to get ahead of you and then there's another one, I have more power now, so now you have to watch about this and it was like a constant back and forth between those, like I wanted you to do that and it seemed like calculate finally came on top and then we just have one more, we're like, wait a minute, all that stuff that just happened.
I planned it that way intricately, It's like 40 chest, my friend ha ha ha you lost by playing by playing like, I don't play games, I play people.
Exactly.
But yeah, it's just, it's like a Mario Kart sequence break where he just gets knocked and he lands on the other side of the thing and it's such a great Mario kart moment that get coin mentally breaks and I do love the image because unlike just like sucking out and turning into a coin because like the DRB the older like did like the clap like hey tom just comes over and yanks calculated soul like out of his throat and I thought that was kind of cool.
I like how that looks.
It's simultaneously creepier and less cartoony.
Yeah and it gets put into the doll.
There's like a really weird like scream kind of sound effect or so or like it's hard to describe but it's very it's very unnerving the sound effect it makes when um Kilcoyne souls put into the key coin doll um fan of it, fan of it Anyway, we now have calculated the doll.
We had a great thing where Terrence is like uh don't try to kill me.
And by the way there's a lot of ways I could die like a whole bunch speaking of I think we skipped entirely why they haven't killed him up to this point because remember he had that he had the stands hand was on joe joe's uh oh yeah as a ransom because he lost the bet on purpose so that joe torre would inherit his hand because the hand is now connected to jo tomorrow he had some level of control.
Yeah they were like if you don't play me, I'm just gonna use this to crush judges hand.
I mean I'll die.
Lord deal will be happy.
But um Shoot the Wicked doesn't list out the ways that he could die.
I didn't write them down.
I didn't want to he was like I could choke on a peanut or fall asleep or I could just live like steely dan for a day.
It's like slip on a banana peel or he basically just lists off a bunch of dumb silly ways he could die.
Number one of those being like punching him to death and he explained that if he dies that Bitcoin will die too.
So here's a question for you.
So if he dies I guess the souls he controls dies too.
What if he's just you know beaten within an inch of his life.
It's a very good point.
Like is that gonna is that not gonna hurt the dolls?
Because I mean they also have a history of not killing people.
They do like they seem really good at doing a lot of damage.
That somehow doesn't kill people.
It seems crazy that they haven't I don't know what the stakes, we'll do it for.
What's her face?
Sonia don't let Sonia di I can't even remember if it was in this episode or the previous one where judge it just keeps making threats like all the time to Darby while they're playing This is the one this is the one okay.
Yeah lot of threatening Anyway, my favorite moment in this episode happens right now.
He puts the cat coin doll out a little shelf and it gets to watch.
He didn't have a nice little show for it.
Yeah, I thought, I thought he was going to put him away.
I thought he was going to put him away, but no, he puts his little legs are dangling and he gets to watch.
I guess that takes care of his dolls.
He cares for them.
It was really cute.
I really like the coin thing is this is so cute.
Uh Did you have something you wanted to say before?
I can't I don't think so because I honestly would have put a different time in this uh would have bet on a different time in this episode, being your favorite part being my favorite.
I've really got a kick out of that doll.
Um I know that may not be the thing, but there's some, there's some other things that are okay in this, but I just for whatever reason because and I thought it's like, oh no, he's gonna put him in a drawer, he doesn't get to watch.
And then when he got to watch it was like, oh he does get to like I had a weird emotional journey that maybe no one else had horrifying.
This has got to be the cat because he wasn't even there for Darby the elder, are you elder?
So they didn't see souls getting sucked out.
Uh it's real, he's had a rough run.
I'm going to say he's going to have a rough run.
Anyway, we have a great little moment where joe torre cuts in front of joseph and he's like, I'm going to go next.
Joseph is like, you can't go next and he's like, you don't know anything about video games, old man.
So I'm going to go next at Jonesboro picks baseball as the game.
I was feeling really bad too for joseph here because after he kind of got shortcut in Derby, the Elder's story, I really wanted him to have a chance to shine again.

Just light up, it looks amazing like somehow it's less goofy from atom because I guess because he seems weirder so it's more unusual but just to see a whole line of Star Platinum's, it's like my whole head candidate is like why did they put me in pants?
He's so angry to be in pants cannot contain him.

But yeah the game begins um It begins it does it's it's it's kind of funny.

Jetro just starts swinging the bat like crazy like he swings before the pitch comes and then he swings, he swings for the pitch comes, which that freaks out.
Uh joseph ed dart Terence at the same time because after he does that you just got to see him tapping one of the buttons is like tip tip tip to to to to to to to to to to to to and joseph was like what are you doing?

Joe torre was like hey hey hey such a damn mouth and cheer for me.
Um And then we get another bit where he then swings after the ball and it does a couple of other mistakes and that joseph was like wait a minute.
Do you even know what video games are just gotta go, no, I play mobile games, I may I remind you, I watch sumo and I read manga, that is what I do, or I listen to sumo games on the radio and I and I read shonen jump, I'm just how piste off jos is right now.
He's so he's like, you got in front of me and you don't know what your deck.
Ah like he gives Jetro no benefit of the doubt.
It's like whatever boomer.
And it's really funny because the the Arby's like, he's pretending to suck.
He must be, he has to be, Yeah, that's right.

This is what I respect about these episodes right now.
Is that last time joe joe took the lead on this and he bluffed his way into victory.
Like, yeah, bullheaded bum rush, No real strategy.
If you actually think about it, bluffed his way to victory.
Yeah, he's like, I just can't look at my cards here, here's like kind of that, but even dumber.
Yeah, he's just look, I hate you and I'm gonna win, I don't know anything I'm doing, I'll figure out how to play this stupid baseball game and I will beat you.
It's funny because in his own general way, this whole episode like he's getting he's clearly getting disturbed and angry at it like oh sh it I don't know how to play this game over and over again, but he's still in the zhou zhou wei like keeping cool.
Yeah it's funny to watch this like I thought this was very humorous.

I think we're like joseph kind of turns on him which is really funny because he continues to swing the bat a whole bunch.
Like he's not waiting for Darby to throw another pitch.
He's like sing sing sing sing sing sing sing ed, joseph basically fully mentally breaks and is just screaming at his face and then at that moment Terrence is like ha ha joe torre must be weak, time to do a killing blow.
Um and he he like puts in like his like best pitch ever um pitch he really likes and as he's about to throw it, joe Judge's comments.
I think I got the hang of this which freaks out Terrence an awful lot.
Like what do you mean you guys got the hang of it?
We just learned the game, you can't get a hang and he hits the ball and he home runs it and there's fireworks and joseph gets full Speedwagon hype train at that moment and we get a great enemy breakdown moment if I'm surprised he didn't turn into a ghost or whatever but terrorists is like got the hang of it.
He got the hang, you can't get the hang of it.
How did you get, what do you mean by getting the hang of it?
Uh it's, it's, that's a pretty good like kind of like just like when he realizes that it's like you're figuring how dare you figure out a game, this is stupid, you're stupid.
It's all dumb.
And then he gives like a, he does a bunch of thinking and talking.
It gives like a little villain speech And the game is all 4-0.
And we got, we got a uh putting the cart before the horse joseph basically like wanders over to, but it looks like, hey listen here Terrence, you might as well just give up.
We won't beat the ship out of you if you give us kick your own back.
I love this swagger when he does this to like this is the full like we got the upper hand.

Um half expected this episode to end right here with Darby taking that.
I would have called this the best episode ever.

But instead we get a backstory of the Darby brothers and he goes like, have you ever asked yourself why?

And he's like because one time I kicked the ship out of abc was talking to my girlfriend?

Uh we do a couple of things where he tries to problem solve and one of the things he does is like, um, he aims the, the, the ball at like he's gonna, he's gonna hit the batter and the batter still manages to like hit the ball.
And then after I thought the episode was going to end, joe Crow takes off his hat and it's still going credited for a While now there's a lot of credits.
Well they go to the show like one or 2 names at a time.
Yeah, joseph is for, he was like, oh God, it's 4 to 3 were fucked, joker is like, I'm gonna take my hat off.
He's like, you can't, you can't take a goddamn hat off.
He's not looking, he's not reading your eyes, he's not in love doing stuff leap in logic there too because even like showed us the reflection of the screen and jittery size just to let us yeah, he's like, wait a minute, he's not doing that, he's not right.

I like these episodes and now I'm enjoying them so much more.
Well they've been proved to be quintessential.

I really like the way this one ended too because I was hard for me not to jump into the media one where joe is trying to do his turnabout again where he's doing, he's doing Darby's thing back to him now I've let you hit all those home runs.
So now I'm going to tell you exactly what I'm gonna do.
Am I going to do it uh it seems like from an observer's point of view, Whatever Darby's thing is, it's somehow somehow he knows how it's going to happen when he makes it a game of chance?

And that always somehow is what's affecting the outcome.

I don't know, I guess for whatever reason I just maybe because it was so similar to the other one, but it was video games and not a poker game, I don't know what it was, but there was just something about this that just like every night, I mean you can have a thing where it's just like, oh I just emotionally don't connect with this and I really just did not jive with this one for whatever reasons.

Like we already had the issue of um whole horse and boingo feeling like they were stretching out nothing like this definitely felt extra stretched like I feel like if they had wrapped up the fight, like there's the baseball bat swinging is very humorous, joseph's emotional swings, very humorous but I think the fact that it's not done somehow like cascades in my brain in a very toxic manner, still on edge trying to figure out how this is going to conclude because I've I've been on that edge of this entire time wondering how the heck they're going to get out of this, what is actually up with Derby's stand because even though we revealed it, we still have no idea what it actually does.
Yeah, I would like to know that as well.
Um And at the same time I've been waiting for that.
