One Gospel Minute

Lies are everywhere, but where did they begin? Jesus described the devil as a murderer, a liar, and the father of lies because he “abode not in truth” (John 8:44). Evil did not originate with God, and the consequences of rejecting truth are eternal. In this episode of One Gospel Minute, discover why the choice between truth and lies is more than a matter of words—it is a matter of where we will spend eternity.

David Hill: Ever wondered why the devil? I have. Got a minute?

How did the devil get into the place he is? Jesus said it’s because, “He abode not in truth” [John 8:44], “and the truth is not in him.”

“He’s a murderer and a liar and the father of it,” Jesus said. God didn’t introduce evil into the world, but the devil did. He fell because of it. You and I can, too [Revelation 21:8].

A lot of lying is going on in this world. Where does it come from? The devil. And those who practice such are going to spend eternity with him in hell.

Seek truth. Tell the truth and live. That’s the gospel.

I’m David Hill.
