Speaker 1:

Welcome to Spotlight 10. We share our favorite stories with you, spreading the full range of fiction, non fiction, and comedy. Learn more about the world around you or dive into a new reality built on sound storytelling. Each of these feature episodes has been crafted by a different host with a different style. Let's jump into this week's episode.

Speaker 2:

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Future News Network, the only broadcast station brave enough to report the news before it happens. I'm your host, Jay Catell, and today, we've got an especially exciting program. Coming up, we have a feature on the brand new iPhone 209 x y plus plus, news on Tuesday's upcoming rapture, and for our daily discourse, we'll debate today's hot topic. Is it wrong to poison people? Hear all this and more, but first, we have a few important stories on geo and lunar politics.

Speaker 2:

You heard it here first. New New Mexico has officially declared war on Old Zealand due to long standing trade disputes and attacks on nonmilitary satellites. There is still some hope that peace can be negotiated before the first blood is shed, but until then, we here at FNN extend our well wishes to everyone involved. The election is now underway for the new supreme leader of The States Of America. Running uncontested for his thirteenth term, we have current supreme leader, Derek Rook.

Speaker 2:

And, of course, this election will decide who owns the free world for the next seven years, So be sure to get out there and make your vote count. A ceremony was just held to celebrate the last piece of ice melting from Antarctica. Billions tuned in to see this momentous event as the continent is now finally free of its frozen curse. Lastly, the ongoing struggle between our moon's light and dark sides continues. Most recently, it's been reported that light side rebels have been caught trying to force their way across the dark side border, but troopers were quickly deployed to detain them.

Speaker 2:

Our sources in the dark council indicate that further action will be taken, potentially even the execution of all 66 detainees. As a reminder, not to underestimate the power of the dark side's military. A less gruesome possibility is ransoming the prisoners for shipments of the valuable light side moon rocks as they're a common yet key component in the production of portal technology. As many of you know, today marks the release of the revolutionary new iPhone 209 x y plus plus. Many fans are excited to see the return of the home button, absent since its removal from the iPhone 193, and the phenomenal forty hour battery life ensures your phone lasts more than all day.

Speaker 2:

These features do come with trade offs, however, and we've got a lifelong Apple consumer here to discuss these changes. Jim, welcome in. Hey, Jay. Great to be here, though I'd rather be waiting to pick up my new iPhone right now. Wouldn't we all?

Speaker 2:

Well, I wanted to ask you, what are your thoughts on the 209 x y plus plus? You know, frankly, it it looks amazing. Sure. To make room for the home button, they're getting rid of the volume buttons and the self destruct switch, but I have full faith in Apple to do right by us. The forty hour battery and six camera options also more than make up for it.

Speaker 2:

Very true. Plus, has to be better than the off brands. Not even a question. It's tradition in my family to only buy Apple products, going back way further than anyone can remember. I actually just picked up the latest iHouse and eyeglasses since the two zero nine can only pair with the new models.

Speaker 2:

I'm just glad it can pair to my last gen I pacemaker. Any upcoming iTech you're looking forward to? Obviously, the iPad Giga 17 looks amazing. You just can't beat that 39 enchant held display, but leaks of the iShopper are super exciting as well. The iShopper?

Speaker 2:

Well, nothing's confirmed yet, but patents indicate that it's a new device to automatically buy every new Apple product, which will save a ton of time. All very exciting, Jim, and thank you for coming on. Up next, we have our daily discourse. But first, a quick word from our sponsor. The Future News Network is brought to you by ambroxox.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to the Future News Network daily discourse, where today we'll be discussing the question on everyone's mind. Is it wrong or unethical to poison people? First up, let's hear from our anti poisoning advocate. Allison?

Speaker 3:

Thank you, Jay. One very important thing to consider is the effect your poison will have on a poisoned individual. Think about if it were you being poisoned and how you would feel. Many poisons can also cause long term health effects. So while it may seem like a harmless prank that only lands someone in the hospital for a few weeks, even weak poisons can be life altering.

Speaker 3:

Some popular poisons nowadays such as bullet ant venom, botulinum toxin, worm brojox have even been known to drive people insane. And as a reminder, it's still illegal to poison people in most states.

Speaker 2:

That was Alison White. Now let's hear from poisoner Michael Levy.

Speaker 4:

Most serious injuries from poisons tend to be caused by malicious or inexperienced poisoners. But with proper practice and good doses, there's little risk of long term effects.

Speaker 3:

Like anything, there's some risk of complication. But should we all be forced to give up something that's so fun because of a few bad actors? Are you kidding me? I've been poisoning myself a few times and I gotta say it was really funny. What we need to focus on is coming up with better treatments for common poisons so that people don't accidentally end up dead from a good joke involving herbicide or anthrax.

Speaker 2:

Thank you for your insights, Michael. Now let's open the floor up to both parties.

Speaker 3:

How could you possibly just go around poisoning people? There's no way that's even a little bit okay. At the

Speaker 2:

end of the day. I mean,

Speaker 3:

I'm It's not funny. It's psychotic. Bad poison. Nobody wants to be randomly poisoned. And what if there's not, like, a hostel on a nearby?

Speaker 3:

You like being poisoned? They just don't want justice. Saying that. We're actually poisoning people randomly. People are getting randomly injected false sorts of stuff on the Shut up.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to fucking poison you. Lives.

Speaker 2:

That was truly an enlightening debate. And we encourage all viewers to come to their own conclusions. Thank you to Michael and Allison for coming in. Hey. Someone is about poison control.

Speaker 2:

We've got one last story for you today, and, of course, it's on the upcoming rapture confirmed to be happening this Tuesday. Yes. That's right. Rapture prediction Jebediah Davidson, has calculated that in six days, the pure and faithful will ascend to heavenly bliss, leaving the heathens behind to continue in their mortal toil. Some point out that due to the over 2,000 incorrect rapture predictions, this one may also come and go without angels visiting Earth.

Speaker 2:

But Jebediah has a very good track record of predicting these things with only two incorrect predictions compared to the average five of most rapturologists. We reached out to Jebediah for an interview, but he responded only by saying, the math is just way too complicated, and anyone who would be going to heaven wouldn't doubt me anyways. And I get it. I wouldn't wanna spend any of my last six days on the radio either. But we've been assured that anyone can increase their chances of earning a seat at God's table through large charitable donations to your local raptist church.

Speaker 2:

And I'm sure donating to your favorite future news network will count as well. Well, that's been our news for the day. I wanna thank our crew here at FNN, including Dakota Barber and Faith Fisher, and you as well for tuning in. As always, I've been Jay Cattell with the Future News Network broadcasting to Spotlight ten.
