Welcome to Your Soul Called. A podcast for those feeling like there's something more. More alignment, more purpose, more peace, more connection, more joy. I'm Nicole your host and in this podcast we're going to talk about what it takes to create a life that feels deeply aligned from the inside out because so many of us women especially have become disconnected and just drowning in the pressure of everyday life. I'd like to help you get reconnected with your intuition remember your value learn how to love yourself deeply from the inside out and realign with your soul with the deeper calling inside of you.
Nicole:I'm so happy you're here. Let's dive in. Hi everyone! Today's topic is What if none of it was a mistake? Losing your job, being cheated on, feeling like your life is exploding or falling apart right now.
Nicole:All of the worst level 10 traumas, which by the way are different from for everyone, so we can't really judge my trauma to someone else's. Someone else's level 10 trauma might be sexual abuse, and my level 10 trauma might be emotional abuse or vice versa. Like, we don't know everyone's story, so we can't judge it. But when you're going through an experience that feels, like, too much, like, you can't handle it, like, it's too big, like, shit's blowing up, What if all of that was never a mistake? That's what I want to explore today and what I want you guys to really think about.
Nicole:But before we go into that, let's sort of examine what the purpose of level 10 are. So I'm talking about shit that feels like it it just completely wrecks you, where you feel like you're in this hole where it's it just feels like too much. Those are level 10 traumas. You know what they are because you will feel it, and it will feel like there's no way out. So these types of experiences, we have them a few times in life, some of us more than others, but they're actually here for us.
Nicole:I know. That's hard to really understand when you're in the middle of it. But what if your higher self actually picked out these specific experiences for you in order to give you growth, to give you expansion, to let you see things differently? And what if these experience were absolutely perfect for you to expand in the way you are meant to expand in that moment. The other thing we need to think about that helps us understand why these things happen, why these difficult really really tough times happen is because and I've talked about this before, but one of the universal laws is that the universal law of balance.
Nicole:Our earth that we live on is one of balance. So there's an e and what is the universal law of balance? It is it means that there is an equal amount of good and bad in everything. And we can't have one without the other. We need to have both, and we want both.
Nicole:We want to have both sides because it makes us appreciate the good so much. If we don't have the bad, we don't appreciate the good. We need to have both. These harder moments, they have to exist, and they're here for us. That's the first point I kinda wanna get across.
Nicole:But I also want you to remember that in these harder moments, you can handle it. So that's kinda why I gave you that last podcast episode about processing your emotions, how there's no emotion or feeling that's good or bad. They're just feelings. They're just emotions that move through our body, and our job isn't to fix it, but to feel it. And you can handle it.
Nicole:Whatever emotion comes up, you can handle it. And whenever you're feeling a big one that you don't know how to handle or you feel like you can't handle or you start to shut down, go back to that episode I did last week because that is what you will use to process your emotions. But I want you to remember, you can always handle it. And most of us, we're not actually afraid of the event. We're afraid of the feeling.
Nicole:We're afraid of the grief, the shame. We're afraid of the disappointment. Those are hard feelings. They feel really really uncomfortable in our body and we don't like them. But what if the feeling isn't the problem?
Nicole:What if the feeling is simply energy moving through you, moving through your body, and your job isn't to fix it, but just to feel it, just to allow it, just to love it. So there's that element of traumas. And if we can handle them, then they're not such a big deal. And the other part is that let's just explore the idea of these sort of big moments as they're actually for us. So here's some things I learned in intuition training, which I don't know if I've ever said this yet, but I I'm a trained intuitive.
Nicole:I've been doing it for all in for, I guess, a year and a half now. And I know how to read energy fields. I can connect with souls past. I can talk to animals. I can do all of this stuff because I've spent hours and hours and hours training my intuition.
Nicole:I actually do it all day long now. But something I learned through intuition training is that older souls are here for significant growth. If you've had a lot of these sort of big trauma experiences, we often as older souls choose these experiences on purpose because they create profound expansion. They force us to grow in a big way, basically, and remember who we really are. Bigger growth, bigger soul expansion is what we came here to do as humans.
Nicole:That, like, blew my mind sort of when I first learned about that because I had a different idea of achievement. The truth is we're actually as souls. We're not here to build that huge business that we're here for the soul expansion. We're not here to have, I don't know, the perfect body. We're here for the most growth, for the most soul points.
Nicole:We are here on this earth for growth. That's what our soul is here for, to grow, to expand, to become this bigger version of you. So when your life blows up, it's usually because your higher self or your soul is redirecting you. It's a big growth moment and you've basically outgrown the old and are ready to step into a more aligned version of yourself. Let that sink in for a moment.
Nicole:It's it's for you. It's this shitty thing, whatever is going on, is here for you to help you grow in some way. So a good way to think about this is, like, pay attention to your perception. How can you shift your outlook from life sucks to there's a bigger plan, and it's all for me? So a life sucks perspective would be and if you're in this right now, don't beat yourself up even more because we're all we've all been there.
Nicole:I've been there. And sometimes you get stuck in there for months. You can get stuck in there forever, and then you pull in all these other, you know, universal laws that make it worse. So I want you to just think about shifting your perspective from my life is hard. Shit's always hard for me.
Nicole:My parents never loved me. I was emotionally, physically, mentally neglected, abused, hurt. It's one hardship after another. Life isn't fair. Why me?
Nicole:Why me? Why me? To and and that perspective, it just keeps you in that hole longer and just attracts more of that into your experience versus a perspective that is based around there's a bigger plan and it's all for me. So something like, I trust that this is happening for me. I don't even know how this is gonna work out, but I can just feel that it's working out for me.
Nicole:I can feel something bigger at play, and I trust in my expansion. I trust I'm being guided. I trust that I can handle this even though I don't know how it's gonna work out. I know it's gonna work out because things are always working out for me and I am going to love myself through it. I love where I came from.
Nicole:It's made me powerful, strong, grounded, gritty, And I know I am who I am because of what I've been through. And this is just one more thing that I'm going through. And it's gonna make me a bigger, more expanded, stronger, more powerful version of myself. And I don't know how that's gonna work out yet, but I know I can handle it, and I trust the unfolding, and I know it's always working out for me. So that is a totally different way to look at shit blowing up in your life, right?
Nicole:To spend a little bit of time purposely seeing it that way is going to help you significantly. When I say something is happening for you, I'm not saying that the abuse was good. I'm not saying that the betrayal was okay. I'm not saying that the loss should have happened. But I'm saying that in really shitty circumstances, life has an incredible ability to create meaning, wisdom, growth, strength, compassion, purpose from that exact thing that happened.
Nicole:It it opens stuff up for you and makes you a bigger version of yourself in the best way. But the gift, that expansion, that growth, that understanding, it often comes later. So the gift is rarely visible through the storm. You can't see it. You have no idea why the fuck this is happening.
Nicole:Why is this happening to me? It feels hard. It feels defeating. It feels heavy. Right?
Nicole:But can you trust the unfolding without needing to know what it is, without needing to fully understand it? If you look at some of the most impactful experiences that have happened in your life, those level 10 trauma times, looking back at it now, how did those things shape you? How did they change you? How did they make you grow? How did they give you a different understanding?
Nicole:How did they shift you in the very best way? These are the moments that always make sense when you zoom out and you can see the big picture even if you can't see it in the moment. I have so many of these and I took the time recently to kind of go back through them and see how they shaped me in the best ways. I want you to try to do this too because it's so helpful with future things that come up and trust in knowing that these things are always happening for you even if you can't see how. So an example like for me there was a time I remember in my 20s where I lost my job.
Nicole:I was let go from this job that I didn't actually love. I didn't want it. I was just there because it was a good job. I was the creative director of an advertising firm, I made good money, and I had a gym membership, and I had all these things from it. But the truth is I wanted my own business for years, and I just couldn't figure out how to make that work financially.
Nicole:And then I was let go from my job, which really, really sucked. It felt for me like everything was falling apart, and I took it super hard because I was the best employee there. I thought I did the most. I I held the whole company together, I felt. But it when I got let go, it felt like a huge hit to my ego, and I felt like my life fucking fell apart.
Nicole:It was traumatizing. It was a level 10 experience for me. But that happening, looking back now, it had to happen in order for me to go all in on my business and create my first successful business on my own. I needed the time. I needed the space.
Nicole:I would have never had the time or the capacity to do that if I had stayed there. I probably would have kept moving up to the next job, to the next big job, and I wouldn't have had the time or the money or the brain capacity to go all in on a business of my own, which is what I was always meant to do and which is changed my life for the better in the biggest ways. Another example for me, which maybe some of you guys can relate to is one of the things I used to see as a huge problem. I wouldn't say this is like a level 10 trauma, but a problem that I felt I had was like being I was always told I was too sensitive. I felt too much.
Nicole:I was picking up on everyone's emotions and feeling like I needed to fix everything because I couldn't handle these big negative emotions and feelings that other people were feeling, and I was taking them on as my own. And I was carrying everyone else's shit. But what I didn't realize then, which I realize now if I look back, it's like that was actually one of the greatest gifts. That is why my intuition is so incredible because I can sense and feel everything in a way that maybe others can't. This is a superpower for me and this is what makes me an incredible intuitive is the fact that I am so sensitive.
Nicole:Big So picture, looking back, that that was actually never a problem. Another example for me was, I guess, what I'm going through right now or what I I'm kind of in the midst of it is that I am in a time in my life where it felt like shit just got really hard. Like, I live in Hawaii. If you are aware with what's going on in Hawaii lately this year, We had flooding. We had crazy windstorms.
Nicole:We've had all this weather stuff to deal with. Well, part half of my roof blew off, and our ceiling was water falling water into the living room. And on top of that, we're building a new house. We have literally, our money is stretched so thin right now because we're building a house. We're dependent on rental income.
Nicole:It feels like all a lot is just happening all at once. Maybe you can relate to a time where it felt like, fuck. Everything. Like, everything happens at once, and it's too much. It's too heavy.
Nicole:You can't carry it. It's like, what do you do? Well, for me, like, the way that I'm viewing this right now, even though I'm in the middle of it is that this is just a net my next level of expansion. Right? I'm moving from a smaller arena to a bigger arena.
Nicole:A bigger arena that I'm not used to, that I'm not familiar with, that I need to learn how to navigate. I need to increase my capacity to handle this bigger amount of stuff because that's what I'm meant to do. I'm meant to step into this bigger arena and I'm learning how to navigate it right now. Now, if I look back in my life, a time previous to this that felt like this, but now I'm like, ah, that's easy, is I had three kids in three years. Plus, I was running two businesses and I was taking care of my grandfather and my dog that was dying.
Nicole:So I felt at that time like, my god. It's too much. I can't handle it. It's too much too much. But that prepared me for what I'm going through now.
Nicole:It allowed me to increase my capacity to the next biggest arena, and that's where I'm at now, and I'm moving on to the next. So I viewing it this way helps me to see it as like, okay. I'm figuring it out. I can handle this. This is all for me.
Nicole:I'm just stepping into a bigger arena. I'm just expanding. I'm just growing. I don't know exactly how or where this is going to take me, but I trust that this is working out for me. So quick recap of this whole I mean, is a lot that I just spat out at you.
Nicole:But what if all of it is not a mistake? What if it's all for you? First of all, there's no trauma you can't handle. You can feel feelings. You can process your emotions, and that is what you're here to do to love yourself on the deepest level.
Nicole:Level 10 traumas, we all have them. They're different for everyone, so don't judge anyone by whatever they're going through. You see someone complaining about something and you're like, that's dumb. You know? But maybe to them, it's not.
Nicole:Maybe that's a level 10 trauma to them. You don't know. So try not to judge everyone. And if you've had a lot of trauma, I mean, big shit that's happened to you, take that as a compliment because that means you're here for a lot of growth. You chose that.
Nicole:You're probably an older soul, and these experiences are here to remind you to take you back to who you really are. And we live on this earth of balance. We can't have the good without the bad. So we want both, right? Most of us aren't afraid of the big thing happening.
Nicole:We're afraid of the feelings we don't like, the shame, the disappointment, all of those uncomfortable feelings. But what if the feeling is just energy moving through you and your job isn't to fix it, but to feel it. You gotta get really good at feeling those uncomfortable feelings, and the better you get at feeling them, the easier they become. They're just the feeling we can handle it. Work on shifting your perspective from my life sucks to this is happening for me.
Nicole:How is this happening for me? We know it's happening for us because higher self always sets up moments for us. These big growth moments sometimes feel like traumas, but they're always here for us. And if you look back at your life, all of the times that you've experienced these level 10 traumas, you'll see that they were actually moments where you got the most growth, where you shifted the most, where you became a better, bigger, more expanded version of yourself, and that's a good thing. Now, one more concept I want you to think about, which is kind of a big one.
Nicole:So hopefully this makes sense. Is that we, as humans, we came from God. Right? We came from source. Now if we came from source, that means source must be a part of us, in us, within you.
Nicole:God is within you. Source is within you. Now if source is within you, god is within you. You came from god, came from source, does source mess things up? No.
Nicole:Right? So if that's the case, god's within you, source doesn't mess things up, Source couldn't have messed this up for you. You're not messing this up. Whatever you're going through must not be a mess up. It must be for you.
Nicole:It's always here for you. So maybe the goal isn't to love what happened. Maybe the goal isn't to love like all the shitty things that happen. You don't have to love them. We can let them be.
Nicole:Maybe the goal is to love who you have become because of it. Maybe the goal isn't to understand every single hardship, every single trauma, every single shitty thing that you've been through. Maybe the goal is to just trust to know that life is taking you somewhere bigger, that you are expanding, that you are growing in the best way. And one day you'll look back at this thing that almost broke you. This experience that was so heavy and so hard.
Nicole:And you'll realize that wasn't the end of the story. It was just the beginning. And it was the beginning of you shifting and growing and expanding into the woman who you are becoming and it was all and always all for you. So that's what I have for you guys today. And if you're going through it, try to remember this.
Nicole:Remember that it's all for you. Remember that you are powerful. Remember that you are strong. Remember that you are never alone and that you are always supported. Okay, guys.
Nicole:Have a great weekend, and I will see you next week. Bye for now.
