What is Canadian Army Podcast?

This podcast is for and about soldiers of the Canadian Army.

Its primary goal is to provide them with useful information through thoughtful and open discussions that reflect their mutual interests and concerns.

Though soldiers are our primary audience, the topics covered on this podcast should be relevant to anyone who supports our soldiers or who has an interest in Canadian military matters.

Hi! This is Captain Adam Orton for the Canadian Army Podcast.

We’re wrapping up season three of the podcast and we’re gonna be taking a little break and we'll be back soon with season four. We got a lot of cool topics that are coming out. We’re going to look at the trades like the Armoured Corps, Intelligence, the Infantry. We’re going to get to talk to the Commander of the Army Lieutenant-General Paul. We have topics about training such as Cold Weather and Arctic Operations. And we even have a profile about a Canadian soldier who successfully completed U.S. Army Ranger School—and if you haven’t heard of it, it’s a pretty hard course and it’s a really good talk.

We’ll do our best to get some interesting subjects into your ears. And of course, keep your episode ideas coming. You can always contact us at the email address in the show notes.

Please stay tuned as we start rolling out the new season this fall.

Also, I want to do a special shout out to a member of our podcast team who’s retiring after 50 plus years working in all sorts of communication endeavours for the Canadian Armed Forces and elsewhere. Hal Doran who’s a creator of the podcast and its Executive Producer. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. Hal, enjoy your retirement. It’s well deserved.

Orton out.
