Have you ever felt God nudging you to do something? And almost immediately, fear showed up. And before you even take a step forward, you take a step back. You talk yourself out of it. You delay it. You tell yourself maybe later. And if you're honest, later keeps turning into never. For so many women, especially in this season after 50,

Fear doesn't always look like fear. Staying where you're comfortable, not speaking up, not starting that thing that's been on your heart. Fear can look like procrastination. Fear can look like convincing yourself that where you are is good enough. When deep down, you know God has called you to more.
Victoria (01:08.13)
But what if I told you fear is not a stop sign, it's a signal? What if that very place you feel fear is the exact place God is calling you to step into?
Victoria (01:36.161)
The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1, 7, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. That means the fear you're feeling, it didn't come from God.
Victoria (02:04.359)
What did come from God is power, which means you have the ability, the tools needed to complete the Pacific purpose, calling or work He's called you to do.
Victoria (02:31.808)
Don't let the enemy tell you you can't when God has already said you can. Love, which means you are not walking this out alone. And a sound mind, which means you're not confused. You are being stretched. Just because you feel fear does not mean you are out of God's will.
Victoria (03:03.826)
It may mean you're stepping into it. Let me paint a picture for you. There's a woman. She knows God is calling her to do something. Maybe it's to speak. Maybe it's to start something new. Maybe it's to share her story. But every time she gets close, fear shows up. And it starts whispering, you're too old.
Victoria (03:32.04)
Nobody is going to listen to you. You're going to make a mistake. You're not qualified. So she pulls back again and again and again. But what she doesn't realize is this fear is standing at the door of the very woman she's been praying to become. Isaiah 41 10 says, fear not for I am with you. I will strengthen you. I will help you.
Victoria (04:39.435)
God didn't say you wouldn't feel afraid. He said he would be with you in it. See, the woman of God is calling you.
Victoria (04:56.395)
See, the woman God is calling you to be, she's on the other side of your comfort zone. She's on the other side of your what ifs. She's on the other side of you saying yes, even when your voice shakes. You cannot become her by standing where you are. Becoming requires movement, even if it's small, even if it's uncomfortable, even if you don't feel ready.
Victoria (05:24.595)
And I understand what you're going through in my own journey. I'm learning more and more to be more comfortable in uncomfortable situations. Joshua one nine says, be strong and courageous for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. God told Joshua to be courageous before anything changed before the victory, before the outcome.
Victoria (05:53.784)
Courage comes before confidence. You don't wait until fear goes away. You move while trusting God in the middle of it. Now let's be real for a moment because sometimes fear isn't just about the future. Sometimes it's about what you went through in the past. I remember I had to do a presentation at work. Girl, the sweaty palms, the jitters, the upset stomach was real.
Victoria (06:21.941)
I tried everything I could think of to get over it. I prayed, quoted scriptures, asked my peers to help me. My words was all jumbled. I don't think anyone understood at all what I said that day. It was a mess. You should have seen me running straight home afterwards. So now fear steps in to say, don't do that again. Stay safe. Don't risk it. But staying safe can also keep you stuck.
Victoria (06:52.213)
You might have tried it, but it didn't work. You might have trusted and got hurt. You might have stepped out and felt embarrassed or rejected. Isaiah 8-
Victoria (07:09.527)
Isaiah 43, 18 through 19 says, forget the former things. See, I am doing a new thing. God is not asking you to erase your past. He's asking you not to let it control your future. You can be healing and still be becoming at the same time. But here's what I really want you to hear. On the other side of your fear, it's not failure, it's purpose.
Victoria (07:39.731)
It's growth. It's the version of you that trusts God on a deeper level. The woman on the other side of fear, she's wiser. She's stronger. She's not perfect, but she's surrendered. And whether you realize it or not, someone is waiting for her. Someone is praying for guidance, hope, encouragement, and your obedience could be the answer to that prayer.
Victoria (08:09.366)
Psalms 56, three says, when I am afraid, I put my trust in you. You will be afraid at times, but when fear shows up, trust gets the final say. So here's what I want you to do this week. Just one thing, that one thing that fear has been talking you out of, say yes to it. Not because you feel ready, but because you trust God enough
Victoria (08:39.009)
to take the step. Let's pray. God, thank you for the woman listening right now. You see the fear she's been carrying. You see the hesitation, the doubt, the questions, but you also see who she's becoming. I pray that you will give her courage to move forward even when fear is present. Remind her that you are with her, strengthening her in the places where she feels weak.
Victoria (09:08.415)
