Every week Amy Charlie, Cat and Scott hang out and shoot the breeze about what is going on in their lives and what is happening in the Fitness and CrossFit Space.  Today we talk about the Sale of CrossFit, 25.3 Announcement and whatever else comes up in the chat.

What is Clydesdale Media Podcast?

We cover the sport of CrossFit from all angles. We talk with athletes, coaches and celebrities that compete and surround in the sport of CrossFit at all levels. We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.

What's going on everybody.

Welcome to the Clydesdale

media round table where we

are hanging out at lunch.

We're ready to go.

And it's the crew and we're

going to do some updates

about what's going on in our life.

Nothing's going on in CrossFit.

Like there's no announcement today.

There's no sale for sale

sign on the building.

There's really nothing going on.

So we're just going to talk

about ourselves today.

Yeah.

It's more fun.

So I got a call this morning

from my daughter.

You know, she's a photographer.

She has her big interview

tomorrow for the store in Montana.

But she got a call today or from GNC,

the corporate office of GNC.

And I guess there's a big

running race going on in

Pittsburgh Saturday.

And they are sponsoring it.

So they called her this morning,

said they got her name from

a friend of hers in college.

and uh want her to shoot

like some promotional stuff

for them uh two hours five

hundred bucks dang that's a

nice or she's nice paycheck

it's like a five k she's

gonna go down shoot their

signage with runners

running in front of it um

and yeah huge payday for

her yeah what a connection

yeah and just because her

friend from college had

shot for them in cleveland

they called her and she

goes well I can't really

get to pittsburgh but I

have a friend boom and they

called her this morning and

asked her to do it

networking so important

it's all about who you know

you know when your kid like

has success like that it

it's better than anything

you do yeah for sure

speaking of networking so

I'm I'm I'm handling this single thing.

I'm doing like a three pronged approach.

Right.

So we're trying to meet

people in the wild.

That's not happening.

People do not approach me in person,

in public.

I have a whole bunch of

girlfriends that I've been

going out with dinners, you know,

not crazy bars like nice

bars where you pick up like nice people.

I've been going to CrossFit

as much as I can and all that.

Nothing's really come of that.

Um, number two of the dating apps,

which is a fricking dumpster fire.

Um, I've matched with probably like,

twenty people.

I've probably talked to

maybe six people and I've

gone on three first dates.

So, and I'm getting really good at, um,

being honest and open with

people like after the date

via text that like,

I don't think it's a connection.

I'm still working on the

face to face at the end of the date,

admitting that it's not a

good connection.

That's really hard for me to do.

Um, but you know,

they've all ended with hugs, you know,

and there's nothing,

it's not like we're like

doing anything more than that.

Um, but, uh, but yeah,

so I have date number,

I have my first date number four tonight,

so we'll see how that goes.

But, um, here's the problem.

Here's one of the problems to commiserate.

Um,

I think I want to date

someone that does CrossFit.

Like,

I really think I would like to date

someone that does this sport,

that understands the

wackiness and all of that.

Everybody,

at least that I've seen on

dating apps that says they do CrossFit,

they are all polyamorous.

All of them, every single one of them.

What?

I didn't know that was a thing.

But all of them are like

ethically non-monogamous or

have a girlfriend or

looking for a third or just

want intimacy with no commitment.

What?

What is happening?

Is that only on certain apps

or is that on?

All three of the apps that I am on.

I'm on like Bumble, I'm on Facebook dating,

and then I'm on like a

fitness singles thing.

Um, it's the same thing,

but she gets it from

hanging out behind the truck stop.

Yeah.

Competitive or recreation.

It doesn't matter.

I just want to, I like when I got divorced,

it felt like I went on

every date that I went on

from a dating app ended up

being a couple dates.

Like it wasn't a hard, no, the first time.

Um,

And I think I met Mike on like my,

he was like my third match

on online dating.

Like it wasn't,

it didn't take long or

anything like that.

And this time around,

it's just been crazy.

I don't know.

I know what I'm looking for.

Like I'm very particular in like what,

what I want.

Maybe that's the problem.

I like that you're not

afraid to shoot your shot.

Oh my gosh, no.

Oh yeah.

So that's,

That's so number two, what did we say?

We said in the wild,

not working dating apps, you know,

not the thing.

Third thing is I have been

sending texts to, first of all,

to couples that I know are,

have a great relationship

and maybe have friends that are single.

you know,

that maybe they're not aware that

I'm single because I haven't, you know,

reached out to them in a while.

It's so good that you

clarified that because just a second ago.

I know.

I've been sending texts to

couples and weird that they've been.

Well, what I meant was like,

I'm making sure that if I

know like a guy from

CrossFit who's married,

I'm sending the text to him

and his wife because I

don't want it to seem like

I'm hitting on the guy.

Like I,

and I think that's just respectful.

If you know someone that has

like in a relationship,

send it to both of them.

So I've been sending these

group chats to these couples.

saying, hey, you know me, you know,

this is what I'm looking for.

You know,

if you happen to run into anybody,

you know, single, whatever, like,

please keep me in mind.

And I've sent out like seven

of those texts.

I've gotten like four responses, like,

oh my gosh, that's great.

You know, can't wait to help you out,

whatever.

I've gotten three like non-responses.

They're probably like, what the fuck, Kat?

And I've even reached out to

guys that I've had my eye

on that I've just like, hey,

I want to get to know you better.

What do you think?

So

I'm just being very...

You're putting yourself out there.

Yeah, it's fun.

So CrossFat is taking advantage of this.

He's doing a soft launch.

He's starting a polyamorous

CrossFit dating app called

I've Got Plenty of Fish But Need More.

So I have a couple questions

since you're in the book.

I've got to know.

One, I thought we discussed,

maybe it was two weeks ago

that you were not going to

go the dating app route

this time because of the

dumpster fire that it can be.

You threw that in the garbage.

Yeah.

I mean, I have this little,

I have a little bit of a

scarcity mentality when it comes to that.

And I just,

because the other two avenues

have run dry or not really working.

I mean,

I'm not like going to the gym right

now and,

Yeah, I lied.

I don't know.

Question number two.

You're going on your fourth first date,

and it's been about a week

since you've been texting us this.

Well, yeah, I've been single a month.

I've been single over a month officially.

I don't know what even when

I was seventeen, eighteen,

if I went on four first

dates that fast and I've

been married for almost thirty years.

So I've been completely out of this game.

Is there a,

a feeling as you get older that

you've got to get it in

quicker or is it just.

So for me, um, here's,

here's some mistakes I've

made in the past.

I have texted with people

for two or three weeks,

gotten to really like them over text,

met them in person, zero chemistry.

And I just wasted three weeks of my life.

Like I would rather meet someone sooner.

It's why I want to meet

people in the wild.

Like I want to meet people in person,

like at a bar or whatever,

because you just get that

vibe from the get-go and

then you can decide whether

you want to text or not.

But in the dating online dating world,

all you do is text and it's great.

You can have great banter with someone.

You can think they're

intelligent and ask good

questions and all that,

but you can't really get.

Like a vibe.

And what's happened to me is

all three of these guys that I date,

that I went on a first date with,

I was very excited.

Well,

I was like excited about two out of

the three.

Like I was excited to meet them.

Um,

and really like had some high hopes and

then I don't know what it is.

I just meet and there are things,

here's an example.

The guy that I went on a hike with,

we went, I met his dog.

We went on a hike outside.

It was great.

The weather was beautiful.

He was ahead of me the

entire time on the hike, which was fine.

I mean, it was like a narrow trail.

but there were a couple of

places where there was like

this giant tree that we had

to climb over and he

climbed over the tree and

just kept walking.

I kept talking,

like didn't turn around to

like make sure I was okay.

Like not that I needed help,

but it would have been nice to feel like,

oh, you know,

he wants to make sure I'm

going to get over this log or whatever.

That was a total turnoff for me.

And we came back the same

way and it happened a

second time on the way back, you know,

on the, over that same tree.

And I'm thinking, okay, that's just not,

what I'm looking for.

You are looking for a

CrossFitter and they are

going to make it a competition.

He probably was doing it for time.

He was not a CrossFitter.

Let's not do that anymore.

Hikes.

I didn't bring my firearm with me either.

I feel like I'm giving off

an outdoorsy vibe that I'm

not a hundred percent outdoorsy.

I'm outdoorsy-ish but I am not

Like every single second, go, go, go, go,

go.

Like I like,

I could spend an entire

weekend on the couch with a

pint of ice cream and

Netflix and be totally okay with that.

So there's that.

So I'm changing my profile a little bit.

I'm trying to change up the

picture so that it's not just me in every,

you know,

national park that Mike and I

vacationed at because I

think that gives off a different vibe.

Where's the adjacent?

Exactly.

Trish, my age range is anywhere from like,

Realistically,

probably like forty five to fifty five.

Here's the problem.

I'm attracted to the younger guys,

obviously, like just I just am.

But they have little kids

and I don't really want to

be with someone that has a

little kid like my kids are up and out.

I want high school at the youngest.

High school at the youngest kids.

Yeah.

And it seems like the

younger guys are the

younger guys just want to have sex.

And I'm not interested in that.

Like I I want to.

have something more than that.

And the older guys were just old, like, Oh,

they seem really old.

How about a silver Fox?

So my date tonight is with a

silver Fox actually.

Okay.

All right.

Yeah.

Here's the, here's the really funny part.

He had back surgery like two

weeks ago and he can't drive.

He had a, uh, just, just to me, just to me,

um, just got his stitches out on Tuesday.

So like the two of us are

going to be quite the pair.

He's like, yeah, I'll cut your food.

You'll have to count me out of that.

Help me out of the chair,

but he used to do CrossFit.

He did CrossFit before COVID

and he told me he had a sub

four minute Fran time.

So is he willing to get back into it?

Uh, well with the back recovery,

I'm not sure he's a big golfer.

He's big in the golf and he

belongs to a country club

close to where I live.

Um, so he is,

I think he's like mid fifties,

a little older than me.

Yeah.

Trish.

Thank you.

I'm fifty-two unfortunately.

So yeah.

So that's tonight.

Look at CrossFit.

It's going to wipe.

Right.

He can't bend over and I

can't use this hand, but guys,

this is the,

this is the hair for the date.

This is as good as it's

going to get with my one armed.

It looks good.

My one armed curling iron.

So,

and the only other thing is my wardrobe

is very limited,

like short sleeves and it's cold today.

So.

Oh, it's beautiful here today.

Yeah.

So anyway, so that's my thing.

I have to go to a meeting now at work,

but I wanted to check in

and let everyone know,

and I'll keep you posted

because this is really fun.

I'm having a good time with it.

I'm trying to be a good sport.

So glad you could join us

for Dating with Kat.

Yes.

Stay tuned.

This will be the open of our

show for the next few weeks.

I might make my own show.

I could only maybe have my

own little thing.

We'll have to talk about it.

I'm going to try to leave

the studio and not end the stream.

Okay.

Well, that's hard to do.

See you guys.

Love you.

Bye bye.

Scott.

Yes.

Do you think this workout was leaked?

Uh, yes.

Okay.

Let's talk about what we think it is.

I think it is.

um I think it is wall walks

deadlifts in row fifty

calorie row in between okay

um with twenty five wall

walks fifty calorie row

twenty five deadlifts fifty

calorie row okay and I hope

it's not I hope it I hope

the leak is a fake because

I'm tired of leaks I'm really just

But also I do hope rowing only,

only because I don't want to row,

but because that's the movement, I guess,

in our competition.

And I hope that I get some

points from that.

Got you.

Yeah.

CrossFit wants to know,

do you think a viewer will DM Kat?

I am sure that she is getting DMs.

Yeah.

One, I'm excited about today.

Someone scheduled a freaking

meeting for me right at

three o'clock today,

which really pissed me off

because now I have to watch

on tape delay.

But I'm excited about the competition.

I'm excited about Dallin

versus James versus Jason.

And Tyson Bajent,

my Chicago Bears backup quarterback,

is going to throw down with them,

which I think is fun.

I'm excited about all that.

And I think that the leaked

workout would be a fun

workout to watch them do.

but I don't want it to be,

I don't want it to be the leaked workout.

I'm just tired of it.

You remember like the early

days when we started the open,

how excited we got for the

open announcements.

Yeah, totally.

I mean that first year,

like Mikey and Springs and

I would sit in my basement

waiting for the announcement every week.

And yeah,

Yeah.

I'm just, who knows?

I mean, yeah,

I hope it's not leaked just cause I'm,

I'm, I'm sick of that too.

And I want that excitement and yeah.

Yeah.

Have they come out to

respond to the leak before?

Dave did in his weekend review,

talk to it.

What'd he say?

Um, he didn't say a lot.

He said that like last week

there was a lot of talk

around the workout being leaked.

Um,

he said it was because his clue was

easy to figure out.

Like most of his clues are,

which is total horseshit.

That's the only one I've

ever seen that actually

equaled a clue that I knew.

Right.

Exactly.

Yeah.

Um,

And then he said that he has

seen some iterations of

this week's workout and he

would not confirm nor deny,

but you'll know on Thursday

if you were right or wrong.

Okay.

Great.

And he said it in a way like

you think you know it.

But do you really know it?

Do you really know it?

Yeah.

But we'll see.

We'll see.

Maybe he's just trying to

add suspense where there is

none because it's been leaked.

I don't know.

But, uh,

But yeah, um,

Sousa's chat with Dallin this,

this AM was really good.

I have not caught it yet.

I've had like just stupid

amounts of meetings this week.

Uh,

so it's really like bit into my getting

to watch CrossFit or listen

to CrossFit podcasts.

Yeah.

I'm curious,

but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Right.

Yeah.

I wanted to give a huge

shout out to our stats and info person,

Holly.

Yesterday,

we talked about what she found

with the double winners

through twenty five

different divisions for

weeks one and two.

And does that mean the

programming is to water

down if the same people are

winning weeks one and week two?

That got featured on the spin last night.

Um, her, her charts.

So super proud of her.

She's done an amazing job

with the stats and that she

found that and send it to

us and posted it on our stuff.

Uh, she's the best.

And so I wanted to give her

a shout out for that.

Nice.

Um,

the other thing that's happening is

CrossFit's up for sale.

Yeah.

And there's a lot of speculation.

There was speculation a couple weeks ago.

Susan did a show where he,

I've called it like the red

yarn and a neat push pins

in the cork board show.

Tied all these things together.

Now it's up for sale.

What intrigues me the most

about this is it is a private company.

They do not have shareholders.

There is no need to announce

that you're selling.

You could have done all this

behind the scenes and

you're not required to

announce any of it.

And last night I was sitting

there thinking, I wonder,

as we're going through NFL free agency,

a lot of times when a

player and a team come to

like a part in the

negotiations where they

can't come to an agreement,

the team will say,

we give you permission to

go seek a trade.

And you go out in the market

and see what you're worth.

And a lot of times the

player realizes their

asking price isn't what the

market would say it was.

And so they come back at that lower price.

I think this might be the exact opposite.

I think CrossFit got down

the road with Whoop,

and they're trying to lowball them.

And so now they're putting it out.

Hey, we're up for sale.

Did you say Whoop?

Whoop.

I did not say.

Oh, okay.

So it sounded like you said

something and then it, sorry,

it like sound on my end wasn't good.

So I think that they got a

low bid offer from whoever it is.

Oh,

now they're saying from the group and

now they're saying, Hey,

we're up for sale and we're

taking bids to see if they

can get that price driven back up.

Yeah.

Um,

and then I watched the spin just before

we got on air and I saw that, um,

that spin thought the same

thing to some degree so uh

and halpin said he just got

off the affiliate call

about twelve minutes long

yes got it this seems

exactly like that so wow I

didn't go to the talent

that I know that the town

hall was exactly when we

were on the air so we

wouldn't be able to jump in but um

But yeah, that,

that was my thought just

thinking about it.

Cause there's no need for

them to make this public

and there's no need for them to say, Hey,

we're taking bids.

And there's all this,

this circumstantial

evidence saying that

there's already a buyer

kind of interested in, in place.

That's what I think they, uh,

so I thought they were

trying to drive up the price.

Yeah.

It sounds like it.

What are,

do you have any overall thoughts

about the sale?

Not really.

I just want it to not be a

private equity company.

I want it to not be run by a board.

I want it to go back to a private owner.

Um,

that doesn't think that's in for the

longterm and not for the

short term profit.

Yeah.

I mean, of course,

cause we're also looking, I mean, well,

I'm looking at it more emotionally,

right.

Just because it's something I love,

but you know, that we'll see.

Um, yeah.

And then I've heard rumors that, well,

I don't even know if I

wanted to go down this path,

but I've heard rumors that

the WFP is actually

offering affiliates to what

they're putting together.

And if you didn't want to

stay with CrossFit,

you could go over to WFP

and join them for like a

two thousand dollar

affiliate fee as opposed to

a forty five hundred.

I have not seen that.

I have not heard that directly.

I've just heard rumors.

Okay.

This is the whole thing though.

But with an affiliate fee,

what you are getting,

you're not buying a franchise.

An affiliate fee is the

right to use the CrossFit name, the brand,

right?

And the brand is, is this methodology it's,

you know, so like,

so that does bother me

about world WFP because

that was not their word.

correct so that that gives

me if that's true I really

if it's true I've lost a

lot of respect for the wfp

they're falling in my in my

graces anyway because of

the the shit I'm dealing

with with the media passes

but um but if they do that

like I will lose a lot of

respect yeah and I have

been one of the bigger

supporters of hey let's see

it play out let's see what

they're putting together um

Yeah.

Well,

I'm going to wait to comment on that

until there's further information,

but that's my initial reaction.

I'm trying to look through

the comments here.

They're coming in pretty fast.

But I do know that I know it

was said in here.

I'm trying to find the name.

Chris, what's his last name?

uh, from two brain, uh, made a post.

It's supposed to be really good.

I've not had a chance to go

look at it yet.

Chris Cooper.

That's what it is.

Chris Cooper, uh, from two brain, uh,

who helps affiliates kind

of maximize their profits and all that.

Um, he put a post out, um,

that's supposed to be really cool, um,

with some things like that.

So yeah,

I'm going to go check that out

sometime this afternoon.

Yes, sir.

I saw that they had the

media pass application.

I actually have it up on my

other screen right now.

I'm going to apply via the application,

but the fact that they're

giving preferential

treatment to others and

giving them the link early

and not responding to any

of my emails is just very,

very upsetting.

Yeah, this is what concerns me too.

I'm a big Saxon fan,

and he is the head of

community development.

So that makes me wonder if

he's part of this affiliate community,

if it is in fact an

affiliate community that

they're trying to form.

So yeah, I wanted to make sure we hit,

at least touched on the news of the day,

because I know you've got

your daughter home and you

need to run to that.

And we've only got about

five minutes left.

How did your twenty five point two go?

Shitty.

Thanks for asking.

Next.

OK, I'll tell you about it.

First of all, it sucked.

First of all,

like just the lung metallic bleeding,

tasting.

fucking terrible.

Number two, this is my fault as an athlete,

but I'm going to give you

an explanation of why I

didn't do as well as I wanted to.

Okay.

I was doing Friday night lights.

Yeah.

I was set up across from

somebody who is a very tall athlete.

Um, and I have a very large kip.

And I was shortening my kip

on bar muscle ups so that I

wouldn't hit this athlete.

And when I was doing that,

I kept failing my bar muscle ups.

So now what I mean by that

is my fault because as an athlete,

I should have a better kip

so that that's not an

interference that would

create the problem, right?

So therefore I'm not as fit.

I am forty six years old.

I did, in twenty-two,

I got thirteen bar muscle-ups.

This time I got four bar muscle-ups.

So... Corey's gonna pick them.

I know.

Could I have redone it?

Yes, but for what purpose?

So I could get a few more bar muscle-ups.

I also,

after feeling that way on the

ground afterwards, I was like,

I don't want to feel that way again.

I don't like that feeling.

No thanks.

So...

I actually that workout

started with the second set of thrusters.

That's where you were like, this sucks.

Go ahead.

You drop an F bomb,

but you won't say balls.

I know.

Okay, I didn't realize I said that.

But um,

so I did better than but it it's

apples to oranges.

like I was in bad

conditioning at that point

um uh I I did foundations

in um and I I did upright

rows in the first round I

did jumping pull-ups in the

second and got to uh the

end of the second round and

then couldn't get any pull-ups after that

This year I did it scaled,

started with jumping pull-ups.

It was jumping chest-to-bar

actually to end last year

in twenty-two and I couldn't get any.

So this year I did scaled,

I did jumping pull-ups,

went into jumping chest-to-bar.

I got zero jumping

chest-to-bar in foundations.

I got all of the jumping

chest-to-bar this year.

nice I got the same number

but up a level sure and I

did it I got to the last

barbell or the rig movement

with a minute faster yeah

so I was really happy with

my progress I wanted to add

some sorry I just saw

corey's comment it made me

think of what I texted the

group yesterday about corey yeah

so I'll just I'll share it

here so I was corey I was

listening to the lunch with

clydesdale um and I heard

you say something I heard

you discussing your um here

was it I totally caught you

first refer to your wife as

your mother and then you

went back and you changed

that when you were talking

about um your vacations and

all that stuff planning and

I was like of course now

that's some freud right there so

just thought it was uh was

funny listening to that

like oh oh caught himself

yeah um hanging out with

corey on wednesdays has

become a blast um trying to

understand the cajun accent

I'm getting a little bit

better every week uh but

sometimes it rolls so fast

it just you know yeah you

sure did you said something

like well when I was

talking to my mother wife I i

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

So that's some Freudian slips right there.

Yeah, that's getting to be a fun one.

I actually, we, we have a, you know,

I try to do top five

Tuesday and have like a guest on.

And we,

I think we're going to do one with

Andrew Sten and Jeffrey Birchfield.

There are two judges in the

space and we're going to do

the top five hardest movements to judge.

And I just want to see what the,

if they come up with similar lists or

Um,

if it's different and what's the

difference between online,

like at an affiliate and, or,

or in a video and in person.

So I'd be curious for you

guys to talk about this

because I didn't know until

recently until I saw Jay

Birch post about the

advanced judges course.

And so I took the advanced

judges course because number one,

I need CEUs anyways.

But two, I was just curious.

I thought that one was the

advanced course was way

easier than the regular one.

Like, like to me,

I know what you guys were in here.

I wonder what their impressions were.

Totally curious because like

it seemed like I didn't

even like I could just be like looking,

you know, like, oh,

and answer the question.

So.

Yeah, I would be curious for that.

Yeah,

I didn't take any of the judges

courses this year.

Like I used to do it just to

keep kind of all my

credentials up because I have my one.

And if with all the judges course,

I could judge at different events.

But I am really I think like

I am done done of ever,

ever doing the judging event again.

Like I'll do like a local affiliate.

like go in hang out um and

if if my affiliate needed

judges for like semi for

the in-person semi I would

go do it to make sure that

I could help out but I

don't ever want to do a

comp again yeah um corey I

want to take the advanced

one just because I won't

have to take the regular

one for three years I

didn't even realize that

again I was just taking it

because I need ceus and

It was, I got four CEUs for it.

Uh,

Jaybird says the advanced was more what

you get an actual comp.

Okay.

Uh,

it was less about the movements and yes,

the testing was easier.

Okay.

Okay.

Yeah, that's true.

I guess it was more so like

discussing like who's in

charge of what things on

the field and that kind of thing.

So yeah.

Okay.

I guess in that sense it was different,

but I just was like, um,

that the course overall was

seemed way easier.

and uh andrew needs to get

off his ass andrew I'm

curious how your level two

redo um was your course I

don't know but anyways

andrew is saying the three

years is unclear from what I've seen

saying he doesn't know if it

applies to both courses or

just the advanced got it so

yeah I kind of I kind of

want to take my level two

it's just such a big

expense since I'm not

coaching anymore yeah it is

I think there's an online I

mean isn't there like a

because you can take like

the level one online yeah

for a little bit less money so

uh l two went great love the

in-person evaluation of

coaching skills I don't I

yeah there's a test you can

fail all of them yeah now

some of them my first my

first l one was a lot

harder than my second l one

to much easier to fail the

first L one I took with Amy

here at rogue.

I felt like I was taking the SAT.

It did very much, um,

where I took it online in

twenty during COVID.

Um, that one was much easier to pass.

Um,

and at the time during COVID the online

was actually,

I don't know if it was

because I was renewing,

it was only seven or if it

was because it was online.

Yeah.

I thought it was less

because you weren't doing

anything in person, but I don't know.

Yeah.

Interesting.

I'll have to look into it.

Cause I do kind of like the

fact that I have that

credential and can judge at

like an affiliate for this

stuff if I wanted to.

Andrew says, Trish, not really.

You'd have to really suck, I think.

The L-II assessment is online,

so open notes.

But it's not a hundred percent easy.

You have thirty days to complete it.

So if you don't do it in thirty days,

then you fail.

Okay.

When I did my level two,

it was right there.

You had to take your test.

That was in two thousand nineteen.

And you had to wait a week

again to find out if you pass.

I wouldn't trust a coach who

had never done the L-I in person.

I'll tell you what the L one

taking the course online

was harder than taking the

L one in person because

it's all condensed.

Like all the movement stuff

is condensed into a very

short amount of time.

I was sore for days after the online L one,

the in-person L one is

spread out over two days

and it was much easier to

do the physical aspect of it.

Um,

And I would even say like

the academic part was

spread out more and much

easier on the brain than

the online was just like

sipping from a fire hose.

Like it was coming.

But I'm glad I did both

because I know what the differences are.

And if you're re-upping,

I think the online is

perfect because do you need

to sit through it all again?

um probably not especially

if you've been coaching at

all and we definitely know

the l-three you can

definitely fail I've known

people that have failed

that multiple times amy is

so freaked out about the

test she wouldn't even tell

people she was taking it

until she passed it it's facts

It's true.

I have anxiety problems,

especially with test taking.

Yeah.

And you did great on the L-I

when we did it live.

I don't know.

I just know I passed.

I don't know how I did.

Passing was great, right?

And you passed the L-III the first time.

I did.

So that's awesome.

Understand.

I think all coaches should

do the L two way better than the L one.

I need to study for the L

three failed it in January.

Yeah.

But the L two,

they say you should have

some coaching experience

before you come so that you, they,

you have a base knowledge.

Yeah.

I think you need some

experience under your belt

to know what you need to refine.

Right.

Yeah.

Yeah.

how is the l three the same

as everything else it's you

have to pay it's basically

the same because you have

to pay two hundred fifty to

register and then well

maybe it's I think it's

slightly sorry two hundred

fifty to register and then

five hundred for your test

okay so then or or or maybe

it was vice versa I think

it was like seven fifty

slightly less right but

then I ended up paying more

than a thousand because I

took a bunch of courses

like anatomy, nutrition,

just to kind of work on

some of the things that

were gonna be on the test.

That's cool.

So like other CEU type

things you took to

supplement so that you had

a better shot at the test?

Yeah.

But here's the key that someone told me.

This is kind of a hack.

So Andrew,

listen up since you're studying.

So you are required to,

once you get your level three,

that you are required to do

so many CEUs to renew it in three years.

Like you only have three years for this,

okay?

So the hack is you take some

of these courses.

all the way up until like the final test.

So you don't actually

complete your course yet,

but yet you've taken it all

up and you've gotten most

of the information, right?

Then I did that with several courses.

So then after I completed my

level three and passed,

then I completed those

courses and now those CEUs

count towards that.

Yeah.

I mean, it's still legal.

Right?

I mean... Yeah,

it's flirting with the purpose for it,

but I get it.

Well,

I guess I don't see anything wrong

with it in the sense

because you're still using the knowledge.

I just wanted to wait until

I finally completed it so

at least those CEUs were

counting towards something.

Otherwise,

I'm just getting the information.

Why not have it used towards my...

Yeah, if you were, well,

the idea of a CEU is that

you're continuing your education,

so you're constantly

learning after the fact.

Should we cut this out?

Am I going to get it removed?

If you learned it all before

and then just finished it after,

you're not really

continuing your learning, but I get it.

Are they going to remove my level three?

I think this is the best analogy.

It's the uncommon movement clause.

No rep.

I don't think they're going

to remove anything, but no.

No.

By the letter of the law,

you're probably fine.

Okay.

By the, what did they say?

I am nervous now.

I have anxiety, guys.

That's on your side, regardless.

That's legit.

And Chelsea says, either way,

you're still learning.

Right.

Dave and Boz are both watching.

I'm sure.

I'm sure they're both tuned in every day.

Yeah.

See what we say on here.

Yeah.

Well, cool.

Well,

Again, three o'clock today,

twenty five point three will be released.

We'll see if it was a leak or not.

We'll talk about that

tomorrow on lunch with the Clydesdale.

Chuck Carswell just called.

You're in trouble.

I talked to him.

I love that dude.

I do, too.

He's one of my him and Boz

are two of my favorite

people I've ever worked with.

I'd love to hear him talk to.

um Boz was they were both

head judges of mine at

different events just

freaking awesome wait I

hold on video inbound let's

go let's go um Dave is

actually Trish burner account

Oh, man.

That's lucky.

Chuck did my first L-tier.

Yeah, that's real awesome.

Yeah,

that would be... I would pay extra

for that.

Oh, I love it.

You guys are making my day.

Anyway, this has been a blast.

So today you have the announcement.

Tomorrow we'll talk about it on the show.

We have Sunday Night CrossFit,

and then all next week

again we'll be at it again.

Probably talking more about the sale,

probably talking more about

the announcement, anything else we see.

So with that, it's been fun,

but we got to get back to work.

With that,

we'll see everybody next time on

the Clydesdale Media Roundtable.

Bye, guys.
