ROUND 1:
The episode kicked off with a quirky game titled 'Was it Invented by an Albanian or an Alabamian?' Contestants Bob from Static Radio, voice talent Tyler, and podcaster Izzy were to identify the origin of various inventions.
Bob took an early lead with windshield wipers while Tyler stumbled with internet-connected vending machines, but he rebounded with nitric oxide's role in blood vessels. Izzy, the podcaster and ghostwriter from Houston, banked on tungsten filaments for color photography. Interestingly, all three contestants had a rough time distinguishing inventions, ending the round with Bob at 1 point and both Tyler and Izzy at 2 points each.

ROUND 2:
In round two, the guests shared insights into their work and passions. Tyler discussed his roles at Home Depot, hosting 'Geek Talk with Tyler,' and his voiceover lessons. Whereas Izzy enlightened everyone with her ghostwriting service and vlogs on entrepreneurial life. In the heart of the game, 'Liquid Connections,' contenders found themselves tied in a web of clues with a splash of ingenuity, as they linked seemingly unrelated items like airbags and Wikipedia to energy and alcoholic drinks. The 'New Year Name Five' added to the excitement, pushing them to brainstorm activities fitting into minimalist themes like decluttering or healthier living.

FINAL ROUND
The final round, a video round on historical figures, sports, and more, was a buzzer-beating bonanza with Bob mistakenly linking badminton and poker before hitting the nail with pickleball. It brought to life the thrill of the show, showcasing the heated yet friendly competition. A highlight was identifying Rosa Parks as 'the First Lady of civil rights.' As the game intensified, we virtually toured Yellowstone National Park, toasted to the founders of Arby's, and reminisced over 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.' The showdown reached a climax with a tie between Bob and Tyler, leading to a tie-breaker round where Tyler triumphed, guessing closest to the number of jelly beans in a pound. The episode showcased the essence of the show: laughter, learning, and the sheer joy of trivia, intertwined with guests' personal stories and endeavors.

Hey, everybody. Welcome to the stuff I never knew, trivia, game show,

podcast. I'm Jeff. I'm your host on the Armstrong neighborhood

channel. I've got three great guests, Bob, Tyler and

Izzy. Let's hear that theme music.

That is correct. You are correct. You are wrong. You are wrong.

You are wrong. You are right. That is correct. All right, as you know, on

this show, we go right into it. And in round one tonight, I wrote

a game that I can't pronounce and I'm going to stumble over this title about

eight times. Tonight, we're going to play was it invented by an

Albanian or an Alabamian? So, I'm going to read you

an invention. You got to tell me which one is it

albanian or Alabamian? We'll start with Bob.

We'll go in the order that everybody showed up tonight. Bob,

windshield wipers, was that invented by an

Alabamian or an Alabamian? Albanian. I'm

going to say an Alabamian.

Alabamium is

correct by Mary Anderson in

1903. Over to Tyler,

vending machines that connect to the Internet.

Is that albanian or Alabamian?

I'm going to go with Albanian. Albanian is

incorrect, is Alabamian. James

Satchel Jr. Over to Izzy,

invented and developed tungsten filament lights for color

photography at MIT.

I'm going to say Albanian.

Albanian. Albanian. Yeah.

Albanian is correct.

We got two points awarded. We got two more questions

each. Back to Bob, the van de graph generator,

better known as the device that makes your hair stand up.

Albanian. Albanian is

incorrect. That's an Alabamian.

Darn. Over to Tyler.

Discovered nitric oxide's role in relaxing

blood vessels. That has to be

albanian. It has to be albanian, because

it is Albania. Albania.

Over to Izzy, pioneered the R

D methods for utilizing ethanol as an

alternative engine fuel.

I'm going to say Alabamian.

Alabamian is

incorrect. Albania. Albania is what we're looking for.

And the last one for each of you in this round.

Back to Bob, the portable electric

hearing. Hmm. Oh, my gosh. This is

a tough know because there's hard people

in Alabama and Albania. So I'll say

Albania again. Albania is

incorrect. That's an Alabamian. Miller, Reese, Hutchinson.

Over to Tyler. Airbags for

automobiles. We had windshield wipers.

I'm going to say alabama. Alabamian is

correct. Correct. And our last one to

Izzy, Wikipedia that free online

encyclopedia. Is that Alabamians

or Alabamians? I'm going to go

with alabamian. Alabamians

is correct. Correct. Very

well. Played in the first round. We're going to go to that

scoreboard. We have Bob with one,

Tyler and izzy tied with two. Bob, you get a little bonus going into the

second round because you have a different score. You get to pick

the order. Do you want to keep it the same or change it up?

Oh, boy. Do you have any music for me here?

TikTok music? No, I guess.

Let's start with Tyler. Tyler's going first. All right, we're

going to round two. And my favorite part of the show where we get to

meet my guest tonight, Tyler. Welcome to the

show. Hey, thanks for having me. Where are you calling in

from? Calling in from Pearl River, New York, where it's cold

as well. It's just cold. The word I want to say, I can't say.

Yeah, I could believe it. It's cold here in Pennsylvania, but I can imagine it's

a little bit worse than New York. Tell us a little about what you do

in New York and how can people connect with you. Currently I'm

working at Home Depot just to pay the bills and get a roof over my

head, if barely. But while I'm doing that, I work

as the host for Geek talk with Tyler. I'm also taking

voiceover lessons and I am also currently

working on the audio series the Undadable X Men

and some other projects I can't speak of right now, but

trust me, they are worth looking into in the foreseeable

future. Well, if people want to connect with you and follow along in your

journey of creating these, how can they stay in contact?

I am currently on Facebook, Instagram, and if you have it,

LinkedIn. All right, we'll put all those links in the show

notes. Tyler, are you

ready for the hot seat? Ready when you are. Here we

go. In this round, we're going to play liquid connections and a new year

name five for the new year, 2024. A liquid connections

are four questions that all have something tied

together with liquid. The answer might not be a liquid,

but they will all connect to be something that is a

liquid. And then your new year name five. I'll give you a very

basic category about the new year, something you'll do in the new year. And you

have to give me five things that fit into that category.

Tyler, I think I get what you're saying. What's

that? I think I get it. You'll get it as soon

as you go through it. All right, here we go. Your first question, what type

of creature might be hiding under a kid's

bed? A boogeyman

a boogeyman is also a more generic

monster. We'll give you a monster for the boogeyman, but we're

looking for monster. Just keep that in mind.

Which video game company created Red Dead

and Grand Theft Auto?

Weird. Three second rule. Just shows up every once in a while.

3 seconds on the clock. Yeah, I'm not really sure on this one.

That's all right. That's Rockstar. So

remember, we got monster and Rockstar so far. Let's

go to our third question. Which marvel

alien symbiote attaches itself to Tom

Hardy? The

movie was Venom. Venom is

correct. Correct. And which

device helps a guitar produce sounds through a

speaker?

Not my area of expertise, but

honestly, the acoustics. You plug a guitar into a.

Speaker? A speaker. Well, we're looking for amp on that

one. So, Tyler, what ties together

monster, rockstar, Venom? And

these are. Remember, we're looking for liquid connections,

monster rockstar, Venom, and amp.

Things that come out of the night? No, we're looking

for energy drinks. Monster energy drink, rock star

energy drink. Those are all energy drinks. That was the liquid

connection. Clever. Well, thank you.

And your name. Five bonus question. I'll put 10 seconds on the clock

once I read you the category, you'll have 10 seconds to

name five types of items or

areas to declutter in your home. Where would you clean up in your home for

the new year and go? Living room,

bedroom, bathroom, closet, and

under the bed.

Did you get all that? I got all five. I always give

you the full 10 seconds just to see how it turns out. Tyler, very

well played. You got seven points in that round.

Let's go to Izzy. Welcome to the show.

Welcome. Thank you for having me. Tell us where you're calling in

from. I am calling in from Houston, Texas, where we were

just 20 degrees the other day, and today we're 68

degrees. 20 degrees. We call that spring up north

here. Tell us about what's going on in Texas. What do you do down

there? Do you have a podcast? Yes. So I'm a podcaster for

PSA, the mental health podcast, a vlogger for in and out the office

with Izzy Baker, which is the following. My vlog,

lifestyle of me, who is now being a full time

entrepreneur, podcaster, YouTuber, ghostwriter,

and the ins and outs of that. And with that being

said, I am a full time ghost writer, and I have my own ghost writing

service. Very nice. And people want to connect with you and

utilize that service. How can they find you? Yes, they can. Reach out

to me at Instagram, at underscorebake oven. Like

easybake, but Izzy, bake. And then, of course,

psantepodcast.com and

my YouTube channel is the same. Underscore Izzybake oven.

Very good. I'll have all those links in the show notes. Izzy,

are you ready for

the hot seat? Let's do it. All right. We have a

liquid connections. Your first question is, what does

the prefix hydro mean?

Advanced. Advanced. We're looking for

water. Water, which

microscopic fungus used in baking helps to make

dough rise.

I know that. That's the funny part.

Yeah. Baking soda. Baking soda. We're looking

for yeast. I knew that. I knew it was yeast. Okay. That's

okay. People don't understand how hard it is when you're in the hot seat. We

call it the hot seat for a reason. Ken Loach's film about the

irish war of independence is called

the Wind that shakes the tree.

Barley. We're looking for barley.

And our last one, which word means one

legged jump.

You would do this on one leg?

Um. I feel like I'm a. Who wants to be a millionaire? I need to

call a lifeline. I don't know. We're looking

for hop. Hop on 1ft. All

right, so what ties together water, yeast,

barley, and hops. What do those four ingredients

make?

Bread. We're looking for

beer. That's how you make beer. With water, yeast, barley, and hops. So a

chance to get five more points right here. Izzy,

name five activities or exercises you can do to be

healthier in 2024. And go

run. Lift weights. Put the plate down.

Skip,

walk. We got four for you. Four points there. Not

a bad round. Tyler came in, have seven. You

have four. We're going to. Bob. Bob, welcome to the hot seat.

It is warmer over here. I didn't realize it. You're right.

When you're in the little window, it's much cooler. I don't know. Time

to turn the heat up. Bob, tell us where you're calling in from. Sure,

I'm calling from St. Louis, Missouri, where they

make a lot of beer. Oddly enough, innizer bush

is homed here in St. Louis. Yeah,

very nice. And tell us what you do out there in St. Louis.

Tell us a little bit about your show. Yeah, I'm co host of Static radio,

weekly show that's been going on for a bit. And

we tell funny stories and just

relatable things that happen to us. Like,

for instance, my son told me I was a cryptid this week. And so

that's what happens here. Very nice.

And if people want to reach out, connect, listen to the show. What's the best

way for everyone to find you? Sure. Staticradio.com or

staticradio on any of the socials. Very good.

Are you, Bob, ready

for the hot seat? Okay,

I'm ready. Ready. All right. Remember, liquid connections.

What are Chardonnay, Sauvignon and

Riesling? Precisely. Looking for a very specific

answer for this one.

Precisely. I was just going to say they're wine,

but you want something more precise than that. What kind of wine?

I'm looking for a color. Oh, red wine. Red

wine is incredible. Those are white wine.

Apparently, I don't drink a lot of wine.

All right, the second one, the movie the

Blank house rules, stars Michael Caine and Toby

Maguire. It's not wine house rules. I think it's cider

house rules. Cider house rules is correct. And I'm sure my

typo was noted by the producer

there. And your third question,

the finest scottish whiskeys are called single

blanks malt. See, there you go. I drink a little

whiskey. There you go. Single malts are correct.

And the secretary of state under George W. Bush

was Condoleeza blank rice.

Condoleeza rice is correct. So, Bob, what ties

together white wine, cider

malt and rice? Rice.

White wine, cider malt and rice.

And it's a liquid of some kind.

Saki is sake saki, right. Is

white wine incorrect? There are types of

vinegars. White wine vinegar, cider vinegar, malt vinegar. You're right.

Gosh. Goodness gracious. All right, Bob, you're

horrible. Oh, you're doing great. Everyone's doing great. Wait till the

next round. Let's name five ways to reduce stress

or increase relaxation in the new year. And

go take a bath, take a. Walk,

sleep, pet your animal, cat or

dog and get a foot rub.

At the buzzer. All five. You won five for five on the

bonus question. We have a very

close game. Only three points from first to second place. Bob and

Tyler with nine. Izzy's right in there with six points. We

have 30 points coming your way in this final

round. This round is a video round,

and I'm going to start to read you a series of clues. Now, at any

point, you can buz in. I've asked each of my guests to bring their own

buzzers. We'll test those in just a second. But if you buz in on the

first clue and you get it right, that's worth three points. Your

second clue is worth two points, and your last clue is worth one point. If

you're right, you're going to earn that point value, and we'll add that to your

total. But if you're wrong, we'll subtract those

points from your total. So you want to be fast, but you want to be

accurate. So let's go around and test each of my guest buzzers so

people listening at home knows who's buzing in. Bob, let's hear

yours

and Izzy.

Little shake, can you hold up maybe a little bit closer to the

mic? Okay. Kleenex

box. And to Tyler.

He's got the bell. All right, so we'll go into the

first round here, and I've made some videos for you to help

you through it. Now, keep in mind, my pictures may or may not help you

solve the question. I like throwing you off a little bit, so here it is.

What is it? I played a

crucial role in the country's expansion

westward. Bob, covered wagon. Covered

wagon is incorrect.

Incorrect. I already gave you the warning. My pictures. You told

me those pictures are misleading. And we'll

keep playing. You'll see. On the right side, there's a little timer. Let you know

how much time is left for your second question. Okay.

I flow from northern Minnesota to the Gulf of

Mexico. I heard. I'm going to try a different

tactic. Is this the Mississippi River? Mississippi river for two

points is correct. I tried to throw

you off with the Pennsylvania. I should know it. I'm looking at it out my

window. No, not really. Let's go to

that second one. This is a. Who. Who am I?

Who am I? The Declaration of Independence.

Yeah, I was there. That's your clue there. I was

there, too, Izzy.

George Washington. George Washington

is incorrect.

Incorrect. Our second clue.

My home in Virginia is known as

monticello.

Monticello. Monticello.

Our third clue. For one point. My face is

featured on the nickel and the $2 bill.

Tyler, what is volleyball?

Volleyball is

incorrect. Incorrect.

We'll go to our second clue for two points.

Play with a ball in a net, and I can be played in singles,

doubles, or mixed doubles. Tyler,

what is tennis? Tennis is

incorrect.

Who was that? That's a new sound. Bob with the new

buzzer here, I'll. Do my right buzzer. There we

go. Badminton. Badminton is

incorrect. Incorrect. And

we'll let the timer run

our last clue. Hands on your buzers for this one. This will give it away.

I can be played in your basement on a folding green

table. I think I heard Bob first.

Is it poker? Poker is. Sorry.

Let me change my answer. You can only change it

once. Izzy has it. Yeah, he got it.

Spades. Spades is.

Remember, it's a ball in a net. Singles, doubles or mixed doubles.

A table in your basement. That's green, Bob.

Ping pong. Ping pong is

correct. We're looking for ping pong on that one. Messing with our minds with

these pictures. I swear. I'm sorry about.

Go. I wonder what the next one is. We'll go to the next

question tonight. This really throws you off. You're staring at these pictures.

What sport am I. Would I go back to back? Ping pong? You can

always pre guess for four points. Yeah, no kidding. All right, let's

find out. Well, I can be played with a ball in a

net. That's my first clue.

No one's as anxious on this one. Yeah, we're not even going to take a

bite on. Let's see what that second clue is. I can be played

in singles, doubles, or mixed doubles.

I'll say. Badminton again, Bob, with the. Badminton

is incorrect.

Incorrect. Gotta try.

And our last clue. I am named

after a dog and my ball is similar to a whiffle

ball.

We're looking for pickleball. Oh, pickleball.

Of course. And that time the pictures were actually

pickleballs. Oh, my goodness. All right, here we

go. This would be called the tricky game or

something. Here you go. It's stuff. I never tricked you. Yeah, you're

always tricking me. All right. Where am I? I am a UNESCO World

Heritage site. You're trying to game us in to

get. Is he.

Is it Dubai? Dubai is

incorrect. Incorrect. We'll go to the

second clue for two points. I am the first national park

in the US and arguably the world.

Bob? I think it was Yosemite.

Yosemite is

incorrect for two points. I'll cost you two.

And our third. Are we taking away points, Jeff?

Yes. I am a famous national park known for

my geothermal features and wildlife. I heard

bells. Tyler, first. Is it Yellowstone?

Yellowstone, for one point, is

correct. Correct. We'll keep it moving. I'm

looking for a who. Five questions remaining. Who am

I? I received the

Presidential Medal of Freedom. Yeah.

And the congressional gold Medal.

I was trying to read ahead to keep the show moving.

That's for three points. Our second clue for two points.

My birthday, February 4, and the day I was

arrested, December 1, are commemorated as holidays

in some US states.

Our third clue for one point. I am often referred to

as the first lady of civil rights and the first lady of civil

rights and the mother of

freedom movement. That was a little typo on my part. Who was first

on that?

Who was first? Let's see. Dave, give me a number. I need

number one. Bob was first. I was going to say Rosa

Parks. Rosa Parks is

correct. Correct. Even with my typos. You got it.

Yeah. Although I was not believing the

bus picture. Now you don't trust me anymore. Yeah,

I don't. You're tricky. Where am I? We'll wait till you see this

one. Where am I? Right. Am I at McDonald's?

I am known for my distinctive international orange

color. Is it my cheese? Is it the golden

arches? How about our second

clue? I am often shrouded in

the fog. I'm known

for international orange covered in fog.

Our third clue. I am considered one of the

most photographed bridges in the world.

Think west coast. Oh,

Bob. The Golden Gate bridge. Golden Gate

bridge is correct. I even found a photo shrouded in

fog. Yeah. All right. Three questions remaining.

Who am I? Who am I? Am I

this guy enjoying a tasty lunch?

I wrote the best selling book, a brief

History of time.

Our second clue for two

points. I was known for my work on black holes and the theory of

relativity. Tyler,

who is Stephen Hawking? Stephen hawking for

two points, is correct. We have

two questions remaining. We have, I would only

imagine, a close game here. What restaurant am I? I'm

looking for a restaurant. This is the questions I thrive on here.

I was founded in 1964 by Forrest

and leroy Raphael. Raphael. Raffle.

Raffle. Like waffle, but

raffle. Our second clue for two points. My name sounds

like a phonetic pronunciation of one of my main

items.

And hands on the buzzer, I've got the meats.

Tyler, what is RB's?

RB's is correct.

RB, roast beef. The initials. That's how they got the

name. And our last question tonight. What movie

from the 1980s am I?

I'm a 1980s movie.

I am a 1982 science fiction film directed by

Steven Spielberg. Tyler, did you buz. Or was that an

accident? No, that was an accident. Sorry. And Bob.

Et the extraterrestrial. Et the

extraterrestrial for three points is correct.

Correct. Let's go to the scoreboard and see how we

finished. We have a tie. Bob and Tyler tied

at eight. We need to go to a final round.

I went to Jelly Belly and I asked Jelly Belly,

how many jelly beans are in one pound

of jelly beans? I'm going to ask for an

answer from Bob first, then from Tyler.

Whoever's the closest will get the

tiebreaker point. Bob, how many jelly beans

are in one pound of jelly belly jelly

beans? Oh, my gosh.

They're not very big. And so I'm going to say there's

200 and 5250. And

Tyler, I'm going to say 300. Even 300

went higher. The answer is

400 jelly beans. Tyler is

closest. Tyler gets the bonus point and is our winner tonight.

Congratulations, Tyler. Let's

hear that theme song.

That is correct. You are correct. You are wrong. You are wrong.

You are wrong. You are right. That is correct. You are correct.

That is correct.
