Emily:

What up, Lisa?

Lisa:

Hey, Emily. Hello, everybody.

Emily:

What's up, guys? So, maybe a little less formal on the topic today, but, I mean, I feel like, I I hope that everybody will Hi. I'm be able to find a little piece of And I'm Emily, and we are the conscious collaboration podcast. It's what a police stuff. It's like it's kinda hard to get away everybody.

Emily:

Magnitude. Just the magnitude of of everything that's kinda going on in in the world, right now from literally a global level down to national level, double down to a local level, down to a personal level level, and how everybody, you know, know on on on these larger scales and and and seemingly on a personal scale is having just repeated, you know, what we've referred to as tower moments. Right? Like, time after time after time time, and and it's and it's just kinda like. Right?

Emily:

Like, it's not just your your run of the mill tower moments. Like, it is just clean hard and fast. And so, you know, we figured it would would be

Lisa:

I

Emily:

to all those things to focus our discussion on on that. Just kind of have thoughts around that and our our experiences. I I I could share, you know, a personal experience to kind of kick things off. It's been top top of mind for me personally, my own little person tower moment this weekend. And so if y'all listened to into last week's episode and we were kinda making fun of me because my brain was out the window window because I was in preparation for, another bodybuilding show, to have happened this weekend.

Emily:

Well well, all was was going well. We went to do team check ins on Friday.

Lisa:

Oh, yeah. You were doing doing amazing.

Emily:

Yeah. It was fine. It's totally fine. And, you know, met up with the the team. My team is awesome.

Emily:

Shout out t team nonstop. They crushed crushed that show, by the way. And, you know so good. Yeah. They did did so good.

Emily:

I'm so proud of them. And, did I, you know, I compete in a in a drug free performance enhancing drug free organization. So I did my polygraph test. That's how they pre you.

Lisa:

And your desk? Yes. In fact yeah.

Emily:

The the lady said felt that it was so, so hilarious cause it's like, I know this is something that you could be, like, good at, but, she said she said it was the most full polygraph she had seen that day. I was like,

Lisa:

oh, thank you. Dude, I'm not yeah. I'm not scared to everybody.

Emily:

I know. Alright. Best polygraph ever. Beautiful polygraph. I was like I was like, I really meant it.

Emily:

Like, I I really I really don't use steroids.

Lisa:

With conviction about that.

Emily:

Yeah. Yeah. She's cool. We also had a had a she's from Maine, and so we, we had a little funny about, lobsters and swamp lobsters from Louisiana. Oh.

Emily:

So we're yeah. I was a guy. Do you like you like lobster? Your lobster. So we had to laugh about that, but, anyway, did my my polygraph, did my my tanning, you know, with the team, all that stuff.

Emily:

Went to bed Friday, feeling perfectly fine.

Lisa:

Perfectly fine. Sending you real

Emily:

till 10 o'clock. Perfectly fine. 2 AM roll around, and I was

Lisa:

That's not the witch hour. That that's

Emily:

that's the It was exorcism hours what it was. Exorcism 36 hours. So I woke woke up with evidently some kind of food poisoning or some similar. Okay? And, without going into too much gory deep detail on that, I lost £10 in 24 hour hours.

Emily:

I know this very specifically because because we weigh in multiple times at Deno's days leading leading up to the to the show. So I just weighed my myself on Friday night. And and, you know, like I said, less than 20, 24 hours into this whole ordeal, I, you know, finally got myself on a scale, and I literally lost £10. It's a good kind of weight kind of weight. You don't lose £10 a bite like that.

Emily:

Probably. That was my yeah. Yeah. Follow me for more fitness tips. Food poisoning is being diet.

Emily:

But it just sucked the life out out of me, and, I missed the whole show. I missed the show. I missed the whole week. I was incapacitated dead, And, I mean, that's just really unfortunate. I you know, you know, you work your ass off to, to prepare these shows.

Emily:

Listen. And it was regardless of of the outcome gonna be, my last show for a while, you know, at least know at least until the end of summer or so because, you know, I it is time for me to rebuild my metabolism. So that was gonna be the plan regardless. But, so so yeah. It it didn't happen.

Emily:

And, I and so it it was just a highlight for me. Like like, I you know, that saying, weak plans and god god laughs kept kept Yeah. I'm not I'm just 'Tis the season for that. Like, shit, that has happened literally on every level. You know, with the hurricanes and the, you know, the elections and and all the there's global, you know, massive, upheaval going on of of all kind.

Emily:

And, yeah, like, it's easy to see to just get lost in the sauce and overwhelmed, and we've been talking about this for a week. Like It's Mercury retrograde too. Yeah. Yeah. You can really you know, you know, I don't wanna I don't want people to think that's all bad.

Emily:

That that that actually, especially at a time like this like this, can be can be very valuable. You know, if you utilize that energy, right, that that is ripe energy for, which look. When the the external is in pure chaos, like, that is your cheat sheet code, is to go inward because you ain't controlling what's going on out there. And I I just you know, I I I I had already been seeing, you know, in the after after the election all week, just no good friend friends, who were just drowned in the the in the of it all. And, you know, I I I poorly communicated this to few of my my closest people, you know, and I and I I was I was trying to be like, look look, we can't let this, like, take us over, you know, and and be become our our identity.

Emily:

You know, like, and and there was a lot of sensitivity, and and people, I I think, were taken as as I was saying, get over it, don't feel emotions type type of thing, which is not at all, well, what I was I was trying to communicate. But, you know, rather that, yes, feel and process emotions. That's that's supremely important. But but there's a big difference between in keeping your head above water and then drowning below the letting the oceans get above your head and and, you know, letting them drive how your mood is for the entire day and how you know, what actions take, and, it's it's just really moves people in the wrong direction. You know?

Emily:

It's it's it's power draining rather than than, you know, really what I've been trying to focus in on personally and, like, really trying to communicate to my my clients about every not just literally everything. Like, okay. Here's the situation. Where can we find the power? Where can when we find the power in this?

Emily:

Control the the controllables. Where are the? Well, well, we're gonna start inward. Right? And then, you know, me and you were taught the the tarot implication a little bit, but the wand sort of theme theme.

Emily:

Right?

Lisa:

Yeah. There's a big wand story in that. I mean, personally, and I did see a little bit of the rumblings since that and I, you know, started to share their friends and conversations. I feel a little bit of that. But I've been feeling and sensing so much forward direction and listening.

Lisa:

I'm not I'm not someone that does tarot reading. Each teaching is similar related, usually has similar concepts. But but, there's been a big, I listen to your tarot times. I listen to listen to my daughters. I listen to, and there's and everybody's tarot has has been a story of Juan.

Lisa:

Mhmm. So on all levels, and I've been feeling that my own, life is a propelling going forward. So I did feel a slight pullback. You know, I was dealing with some things here here locally and into Bay with with clients and myself with, some hurricane issues and that type of thing, but then it was it was just, like, propel. And, you know, when you're in a place of propelling forward and being visible, you know, that's not not the time to, to, like you're saying, to disempower yourself or to anything.

Emily:

I don't think you can get to that place of propelling forward if you no. It's it's you do have to, yeah. We have the have the element of destiny, but we have our will and we have have to make, like, these these monumental events, whether they are global, national, or personal are all opportunities to make choices.

Lisa:

Yeah. You know you know, like, having conversations I think we talked about about this in the podcast before. And and, you know, I'm a gen xer talking to my mom. My mom in particular, but out Darlene, if you're listening. When all my conversations are always end end in, it's just crazy, you know, referring to the world.

Lisa:

It's just crazy. It's crazy. I'm like, mom mom, it's not crazy. Like, nothing is crazy. There's we go there.

Lisa:

There's seasons to every and sometimes times it just all happens all at one time, and it's and it's intense. And the way way that you and I and a lot of our collective refer to those instances as our tower moments, and some some of the best things have come immediately following our moment. And I think it's that's this time. And if your head's down or you're on the water or you're in the soup like you're saying with emotions or getting caught up in, you know, the the collective. That's why it's so important to surround yourself and your collective, projects with people that are are not getting lost in the soup, everybody else's.

Lisa:

You know, and and I know we're both air signs, so sometimes we we can come across aloof or an Right. We can we have emotions and feelings, and I think it's, you know, and I don't think we're we're anymore right to anybody else, but in our experiences, we've we're we're we're not spring chicken there. We've we've been through many life cycles of tower tower moments and then just amazing things keeps coming on the other side.

Emily:

So And if but and the the rub is you have to, like, put yourself in that place to be able to receive that. Right? Like like Right. Or to be able to jump into into it, I should say, because it's not receiving. It's the opposite.

Emily:

It's it's pushing forward. But yeah. Like, yeah. If you're if you're just drowning, you you can't possibly and if you're if you're, you you know, repeating the stories to yourself yourself of how bad this is and how you you know, then that's what's gonna Right.

Lisa:

Manifest. You Right.

Emily:

For for you. You're with the the story that your mind is telling telling you is what is going to to happen. We've seen this in in, you know, medicine and health with placebo and nocebo and and, you know, all sorts of other other ways we can see this play out. Like, what's the saying? Whether you think can or you can't can't, you're right.

Lisa:

Yeah. Yeah.

Emily:

Yeah. And that that that's that's exactly what it is. If you think this is the worst thing that ever happened, you know, whatever whatever this thing is, it is. Yeah. But if you if you can say, okay.

Emily:

You can acknowledge, I don't like this right now. That like I don't like this. This does feel good. This feels very blank, you you know, whatever it feels like too. And that's fine and that is solid and and

Lisa:

Take your time.

Emily:

And and you you should acknowledge that, but, you know, then accepting that you know, you look when when I'm vomiting my life up, this isn't a pleasant play place to be.

Lisa:

Well, thank you. Including me in it though. I'm glad that you've been out and so I knew you were okay.

Emily:

Oh gosh. Yeah. I don't even know I bled out, but, I, you know, I'm I mean, I chose to even I I I was devastated. Okay? I work.

Emily:

It's like

Lisa:

like a little piece of you. Like, I can't make it. I can't I can't No.

Emily:

No part of me me. No part of me. And

Lisa:

imagine what is that? What have you I don't know why.

Emily:

I am choosing. I'm like, you know what? I was at home, not in a

Lisa:

facility with hundreds

Emily:

of the bodybuilders in a tiny bikini. If I I had been on the scene when that happened, I'd have to go go into the witness protection program. You would have never Okay? That would be the

Lisa:

definition. Taken out a minute seconds at that point.

Emily:

No. I would have died. I would have literally way of embarrassment. As my mom taught me, and this this makes sense, is she that's the root root of the word mortification, you know, that you die of embarrassment. Yeah.

Emily:

That that that would have been

Lisa:

it. So Yeah.

Emily:

You know? It it I and I it's still like, you know, I still that, like, if I if I think about it and I, you know, and I look at the the pictures and stuff, and I, of

Lisa:

course, I'm so proud proud,

Emily:

but it's like, you get that little bang, like,

Lisa:

Yeah. I know. I'm just like singing in memories of, like, last year competition. And I was like, oh, yes. Then yeah.

Lisa:

Yeah.

Emily:

It was so and, you know, all these visions of, like, you know, in the new bikini and how was that? And, but but I chose to be like, okay. I don't like I don't like this one, but what business trying to what is this telling me? What is this trying to keep you

Lisa:

to know, soda. It's not my day. Work. Yeah.

Emily:

You know? So clearly, this was not my day. What what is it? Is it? What, you know, what what is it is it that I need to get from this?

Emily:

And, you know, you know, let me just go ahead and start making just so so that Yeah. You can just move from forward and because it ain't do this. So so alright. What are we

Lisa:

gonna do? With it.

Emily:

What are we gonna do? And, you know, I have myself a little, still have a little post show, celebratory meal thing. Dujot, by the way, way, has an not no affiliation, but, it was weird. I had I had a very specific craving for a big green salad and a DiGiorno pizza specifically. I don't know why.

Emily:

And DiGiorno has these little personal full size croissant crust pizzas. So I indulged that crave craving and, just a little side, nutrition which life hack for you here, you know, so so that you can in include, just for for fun foods like this time to time, time that just bring joy into your life, maybe bolster the nutritional view of your meal meal and and prevent your blood sugar from going absolutely insane. What what I also did was pre meal had a bag of air dried stick with 30 with 32 grams of protein in it to go go ahead and keep my tight and check and curve that, you know, you know, blood sugar spike. Right? And then I have that nice big blue greens, with some olive oil, tomatoes, and got some good micronutrient and fiber in as also that, you know, the the pizza have an effect that made me feel like further crapola.

Emily:

Right?

Lisa:

Right. Right. Yeah.

Emily:

Actually froze and energized the next day.

Lisa:

Yeah. That's turkey when we saw you for the workout and Thanks. This is just and and talk of propelling forward. You know, if you you were to have gotten lost in super pain, pain, depression, things, you would have not see seeing the opportunities and all the cool stuff that's happening this week. Like, did you have a concert this week?

Lisa:

And

Emily:

I I gotta check on that. Yeah. But but there's a concert and we have a thing. Yeah. Yeah.

Emily:

We Can

Lisa:

we talk about the thing? Yes. We can.

Emily:

Yeah. Let's look

Lisa:

at the thing. Yeah. So, Wednesday going into Thursday, we we are appearing on a ray radio show here, Lowell, and it's the 1st radio show show. I'm so excited.

Emily:

I think it's mine mine too. I would know. Right? I think it's mine too too.

Lisa:

I think you would know unless you could tell that it was so bad that you erased it. Possible. It's possible. I do that kind of stuff too too, but, I mean, what really cool and amazing opportunity of, you know, one of the best Tampa Bay Bay radio shows, invited us on. Yeah.

Lisa:

And people people listen, you know. My friends are like, oh my gosh. That's that's so cool. You guys are gonna be on. And I don't I don't know what we're gonna talk about, but I know it's gonna be amazing, based on, you know, our previous conversation.

Lisa:

So,

Emily:

So if you're our episode in time before, early early morning, November 14th, we'll be on at midnight. Right?

Lisa:

Mhmm. Yeah. So and you can listen to station station? Oh, gosh. WMNS, I believe, are the call letters.

Emily:

Oh, they want an info call.

Lisa:

Yeah. My, phone's too far away for me to pull up with WhatsApp where she gave me all the details and Big big gay radio show. Yeah. Yeah. So you can transfer it to Google.

Lisa:

Believe yeah. I believe they are listed in other directories as well too, so you can find us on their other directories. Facebook page, they have this really cool tool and has some great playlists. And I think it's great, Emily, because this all started around talking about playlists, like therapy play, therapy DJ days. Yeah.

Lisa:

And then people are doing doing that. It's not our I mean, it was not our idea, and then people it's getting from us. I just I just think it's like an awakening that people are are feeling called to do therapy DJJ type of things, and I think it's more heal healing than orthopartic than music. And I love, the the AK radio show has, like, this compelling, like, playlist that come out at the right time, and, there's no incident in in they're they're very, like, I don't know. I don't know.

Lisa:

Like, the right thing you need to hear to be uplifting and, you know, dance. I'm not

Emily:

I'm not gonna dance. And if Steve Steve always says this too, laughter. You know? It just break breaks up the heavy energy, and and and we start to become closed up, right, and forward. And Yeah.

Emily:

And to get in into this forward propulsion energy, g, you have to be open. You you have to be open. Even that discomfort. You have to be vulnerable and open and accepting of whatever whatever the, you know, the the next thing is to propel forward into rather than Yeah. No no this and and and you're just further closing yourself off and and and narrow down the possibilities for yourself.

Lisa:

Yeah. Exactly. I you know, I'm really excited about the timeliness of our appearance. I think it's the perfect timing. I'm excited to see Joanna again.

Emily:

Shout out, Joanna.

Lisa:

And she's he's like I mean, I don't know. She complete completes our air sign trifecta, I think, was supposed to.

Emily:

Mhmm. Yeah. Air sign and generational, Treca.

Lisa:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right?

Lisa:

Generational. Generational.

Emily:

No. We're a gyrational. We're a gyrational bunch. Yeah.

Lisa:

We kept talk talking about dancing. I think it's gonna be fun. But but a lot of our guests have we we don't well, I I think everybody's we don't pretty sweet script these out necessarily. It's really really true. True authentic conversations that we're have having with our cast and it just happened what happened is that the the right cast are packed in at a time and and we all just continue the conversation.

Lisa:

But a lot of our us in in their individual, sessions with us have talked about movement, dance, you know, how to process things and resilience. And I think we're gonna get heady, you know, and get too intellectual on on the big video show, but but I think it's gonna be fun and get started all the same. Yeah. I but I really like 5, so I'm I'm excited. And I think, like, if you you or I would run-in lost in the soup of all the negativity or any, you know, what's the opposite of a glimmer?

Lisa:

Because you talk about the glimmer being the optimist on the ensemble. What's the opposite? I think

Emily:

you were Like, the the thing that the thing that puts the candle out. Yes. Not not like a Not like a Okay. Okay.

Lisa:

Not at first. Like, snuffs it out? Same.

Emily:

Snuff fluff.

Lisa:

Yeah. Maybe that's where that came from. Anyway, yeah. Yeah. If we had let our flames go out, we might not have been been lined up for these amazing uplifting things that are happening.

Emily:

Certain we wouldn't. Yeah.

Lisa:

So there you go. I mean, we still have the moments. Everybody does. And I don't think this time in our life doesn't be any, you know yeah. I think we do take take notice to a lot more of the well, especially when we're in the thick of things, being traumatizing.

Lisa:

You know, I just reflecting in fact, it's been a month since and I only know that, I directly it's it's been a month just based on my, like Since Milton. Yeah. Yeah. Since Milton. And I remember remember, like, the day after Milton, and I was I was talking to my boyfriend about this.

Lisa:

Like, the day after Milton, I was driving around around to check on my house, sure it was okay. I was looking at the direction thinking, there's no way any of this is this is ever gonna be repaired. It's about post apocalyptic. I there were holes in roads. I was going, like,

Emily:

Yeah. Yeah.

Lisa:

I just walked. I walked the, you know, 5 miles to get home. It was it was like like no no thing in sight. And now here today, I talk in the neighborhood, and my neighborhood was pretty hard by by both storms, and things look better than they did before. I mean, I know people are still really deep deep into repairing and the rebuilding, and I'm seeing that in my cloud projects, but when people are going into into it, they're like, we're doing it so intentional, and we're gonna do it better than it was before.

Lisa:

Mhmm. So, so I'm seeing more of that, and I'm seeing seeing more beautification even if trash is still outside. It's somewhat like a pretty pretty sign, and it'd be like, you know, golf off or a straw.

Emily:

I mean, breeds innovation and, you know, it's not it's not, like, most fun way way to do things, but, like, you know, okay. This happened. How do we get better? Yeah. And it is.

Emily:

We're power in this. We make it better.

Lisa:

Yeah. Yeah. People are really making a pin and it's that's that, like, one energy that you what you were telling me about that, you know, it's it's pretty inspiring, and I think that people are gonna have It's that like, after a tower Towerman, there's so so many unknowns. You know, my daughter was saying to me unknowns. She's like, it's like bungee jumping and how scary it is.

Lisa:

You bungee jump jump and then you do jump. Like, this is this is amazing. But it but it's so scary, you know, and before you do it.

Emily:

Oh, I'm looking at this New Orleans deck that I that I had pulled before we started and and, I mean, I think it's the perfect example of exactly what you're talking about because, I mean, I mean, you know, if you were to see New Orleans post Katrina Right? That's 6, 6, 8 months post Katrina, you'd be like, how in the hell does anyone come back from this? And, of course, it's permanently changed. Right? Like And some for no good or the bad or or somewhere between, but permanently changed.

Emily:

But, I mean, you know, you could definitely say that is I mean, it is back and it is threatening. And for them, you know, for them them to come back, it's like, if they can do it and look at this, the, illustration on the deck. It's very sort of fire, 8 wands looking

Lisa:

at that location.

Emily:

Like it's on it's on fire. Yeah. Yeah. You know, from A a phoenix butterfly. Inside.

Emily:

So yeah. And Phoenix is a fire very, very wands team. So let's let's see, Yeah. Let's close it out and see what

Lisa:

that way.

Emily:

What what the old New Orleans has to say about it. I haven't shuffled in a while until I do this.

Lisa:

Yeah. There's no right way. I've actually had I've had people ask me that, you know, when I'm teaching, you teach me to me how to Oh, that's so sad. Sure can. Absolutely.

Lisa:

I don't care about that.

Emily:

While I figured it out. Yeah.

Lisa:

Right.

Emily:

You do see some some terrorists on YouTube that that just are so sweet with it and you're, like, like, well, there's like, we're, like, Yeah.

Lisa:

The casino. The casino card play player. I'm so impressed by that. Like like, I don't have that method.

Emily:

Alright. Which one do you want want me to take here? Which to back it up. These cards will come up for the collective. The energy to move forward in this one's kinda looking out at me.

Emily:

Let's oh, you know what? What? I like this, and I was gonna, I was gonna mend this too. I was gonna call it, like, honorable men mention. It well, and I I I haven't read, you know, the the meaning behind this card.

Emily:

I don't think I've ever this card. But but, I was gonna give as an an honorable mention to lean into your relationships, your, you know, your loved ones, whatever that that means to you, friends, family, pets, lovers, or whatever, you know, whatever that is is. There is great power, great healing power in just I'm gonna now now use the word that's on the card, companionship.

Lisa:

Yeah.

Emily:

And this this looks like the the 3 of cups. This is not a tarot deck, but this is like a 3 of got, 3 threes, and they're, chasing, toasting, joyfully, you know, celebrating celebrating. And, I think, you know, a lot of people feel guilt or or what, you know, whatever, kind of heaviness around, you know, well, I can't feel happy or or celebratory right right now. You know? Look at what this means for a friend and this and that and this and that and the other.

Emily:

But but it's it's just like the thing. Like like, the best thing you could do is, you know, find something thing to celebrate and give other other people permission to do so as well because that energy is so healing. You know, talk about oxytocin ox oxytocin release if you wanna get a little Wow. Scientific with it. Like, there is some science to it.

Emily:

And, you know, when you look at the quote, unquote, blue zones and and and all and all these things, you know, focus in there's there's there's problems with the way they lose blue zones. But but really Mhmm. The the common factor, there is not diet or exercise needed or or or anything like that. The com the most common factor, in fact, they they've done some some some research on this now, but the most important important factor in longevity, right, and quality of life is the quality of your relationships. So I will read, the

Lisa:

Yeah. Yeah. I like that image of the cards. They're just like the the pouring from each other's goblet. Yep.

Lisa:

Yeah. Direction. So it's like like, you know, making sure

Emily:

that everybody's cup is full. And, oh, here, I've got got a little extra. You can have some. Now you've got a little extra. I can have some.

Emily:

Yeah. Yeah. No no back mentality even when, you know, your whole is is crumbled crumbled around you.

Lisa:

It's like coming back around circle.
