Ezina LeBlanc:

Welcome to another edition of The Daily Darshan. Today I'd like to talk about spirituality and unity. You know, all of us are very spiritual when things go right. We can sing all of the praises. We can go around, God bless you, God bless you.

Ezina LeBlanc:

You know, God is good all the time. But when things go wrong, we throw everything we know out the window. So how spiritual are you when the going gets tough? All of us have the ability to climb the mountain and do and to face any challenge, yet we allow the dark one to fill our heads with doubt like you can't make it, you won't get there, give up while you can. And choosing the high road when things aren't going our way, well, that's what spirituality is really all about.

Ezina LeBlanc:

We all do what we say we're going to do. We have such good intentions, but life gets in the way. Things come up, we get distracted. Time goes by, we think of other things. It happens to all of us.

Ezina LeBlanc:

No matter how important something is to us, sometimes we simply don't make it a priority. Maybe it's a task that requires a lot of effort or maybe the timing just isn't right, but if something is truly important, we must make the commitment and stay focused and take actions we need to take, even if it means going the extra mile. You know, taking action generates the extra energy we need to overcome whatever the obstacle is in our way. And God translates our prayers based on our action. We are often unaware when we are a slave and when we are free.

Ezina LeBlanc:

You know, usually we think we're a slave when we're really free and when we think we're free, we're really a slave. For example, it's very challenging for people who are born into families of affluence. They think they are born free, but they are often slaves to materialism. Because they didn't work for what they own, they have bread of shame, the shame of receiving something without earning it, which often makes it even harder for them to break free of the chains that bind them. What's the difference between an angel and a righteous person?

Ezina LeBlanc:

An angel appears in order to complete one specific task. A righteous person, on the other hand, is someone who lives in this world and has turned the negativity of his existence into light. He has made himself both whole and holy by transforming his internal nature. Therefore, a righteous person can petition the Creator on our behalf. Through the miracle of God, you know, the pathway of spirituality, we can bind together, and only this bond between people last.

Ezina LeBlanc:

Everything else in the material world deteriorates. Even my Birkin bag, it deteriorates. The light of the candle doesn't diminish as we light other candles. By our coming together and lighting the candle of the person next to us, the light is amplified and the bond is made stronger and we become part of that miracle. What must one do to become spiritual?

Ezina LeBlanc:

He must sweat for it, work for it, fall down, cry and pick himself up for it. Then he must do it again and again. A person is only spiritual when they go through the test of fire. When Moses received the 10 utterances, traditionally known as the 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai, a conversation took place between him and God. Moses confessed that he had not realized how bad the situation at the bottom of the mountain had become.

Ezina LeBlanc:

The Israelites had created an idol and the darkness prevailed. God said to Moses, In my hand and from my mouth, the people cannot accept my message. They are not able to take the light that would come from me directly. Like who cannot accept the the laws of the Creator, we sometimes are unwilling to accept wisdom imparted to us by others. We sign up for coaching programs.

Ezina LeBlanc:

We go to gurus. We sit at the feet of leaders. We attend classes after class, but yet we cannot deeply accept the message. That message is a light. And that light, God brings light bearers into our lives on a regular basis that we all tend to ignore.

Ezina LeBlanc:

Like the people who could not accept the laws of the creator, we sometimes are unwilling to accept wisdom imparted to us by others. We visit with our spiritual mentor and receive an answer to a question that has been on our mind for months, but we don't like the answer we're given, so we disregard the entire message. Then later on, when life starts kicking us in the butt, we realize that we received the answer we needed long ago and we just hadn't realized its worth until now. God recognized this. He saw that the people were not ready because they were too afraid of the tremendous light energy, but he knew exactly what they needed and how they needed to receive it.

Ezina LeBlanc:

Sometimes in our effort to be quote unquote spiritual, we inadvertently force our wisdom down someone else's throat and wind up turning them away from the very spirituality that we want to share. We can't course others into believing what we believe. We can only be models of the spiritual principles we are learning. There's only one way to share a spiritual message, and that is if we live our lives better as human beings. When our actions and attitude have changed, others will notice.

Ezina LeBlanc:

The biggest lesson here is it doesn't matter how much we pray or the specifics of our spiritual practice. What is important is that what comes from us is spiritual energy. We are in such a hurry sometimes that we forget to experience the tender little moments that had we paused for them, might have saved us and others a great deal of hurt. Sometimes we are in such a rush that we forget that kindness along the way has more value than the goal we are trying to reach. Our life is in essence only a bundle of the things that we have done that have brought pleasure to others.

Ezina LeBlanc:

And in these moments, we reach the light of the divine. Each of us has unique gifts and it's our responsibility to make use of these gifts and to share them with others. Each day we need to do at least one action of real sharing by using the gifts we've been given by the creator to positively impact another human being. So what can you share today? What gift can you share?

Ezina LeBlanc:

Maybe it's a gift of a compliment. Maybe it's an act of kindness, opening a door for someone, sending a note of thanks. Sometimes just as simple as a smile or behind the scenes adding someone to a prayer. All gifts don't have to be overt, but give it anyway. You know, I always see these buildings with names of people who are donated money to a cause and I think, did they donate that money because they believed in that cause or because they wanted their name on the building?

Ezina LeBlanc:

And really that's none of my business. The fact is the money was given, the building was built, and others are benefiting from that. But we get sometimes twisted, you know, with the concept of giving and it being anonymous versus being broadcast to the world. And I think sometimes it does need to be broadcast. Know, Mackenzie Scott, Jeff Bezos' ex wife, she gives away billions of dollars, and I think that needs to be broadcast.

Ezina LeBlanc:

But do we need to broadcast that we sent someone an extra $50 or we gave someone, you know, our clothes or we, you know, did all of these random acts of kindness. No, they don't always need to be broadcast. When you give truly from your heart, there is no thank you necessary. You just give because in that giving it not only elevates the other person but it elevates your soul. So as we come together more in community, I want you to think of ways that you can be more kind to each other, ways that you can lift each other up.

Ezina LeBlanc:

Random acts of kindness like if you get a hunch to do something, do it. You don't have to broadcast it. Just do it. And don't look around for where is it coming back to me? Just do it without any thought.

Ezina LeBlanc:

Just do it because you felt the internal leaning to do so. Because we all have light inside of us and our light can illuminate the darkness of many. The darkness of the world if we light our light collectively and consciously. So I leave you with that. Let's focus on being spiritual all the time because in doing so we bring more light into our lives, into our families, and we feel more calm within.

Ezina LeBlanc:

And that in turn brings more joy and happiness into our lives. Until next time. Satnam
