The Brave Ant and Prophet Sulaiman
Hello, hello, my wonderful listeners! Oh, I’m so glad you’re here! Do you know who I am? Maybe you do… but if you don’t, let me introduce myself properly. My name is Zaki, and I’m a hoopoe bird. Yes, that’s right—a hoopoe! Have you ever seen one? We have the most beautiful feathers and the best stories to tell!
Now, I know you might be wondering—what’s a hoopoe doing telling stories? Well, you see, I’ve flown to many, many places, and I’ve seen things you wouldn’t believe. I’ve been to sandy deserts, lush forests, and even to places where the prophets lived! That’s right—the prophets! Do you know what a prophet is? Raise your hand if you do!
Wow, I see lots of hands! Good job! And for those of you who are still thinking—don’t worry, I’ll explain it. A prophet is someone special, chosen by Allah, to guide people and teach them what’s right. They showed everyone how to live with kindness, honesty, and love. And guess what? We’ll be hearing stories about these prophets right here, in this series! Exciting, right?
Now, before we start, I’ve got a little question for you. Have you ever talked to a bird? Or maybe… an ant? No? Well, you’re in for a surprise today! Today’s story is all about a very wise prophet named Sulaiman, who had a super special gift—he could understand animals! Yep, animals! Can you imagine that? What do you think an ant would say to you?
Ohhh, I bet it would say, ‘Watch out! Don’t step on me!’ Ants are very smart, you know. So, shall we find out what happened when Prophet Sulaiman met a brave little ant? Come on, let’s get started!

A long, long time ago, there was a very wise and kind prophet named Sulaiman. Allah had blessed Sulaiman with many special gifts, but one of the most amazing was his ability to understand and talk to animals.
Can you imagine talking to animals? What would you ask them? Maybe I’d ask a fish what it feels like to swim all day. Or ask a cat why they love knocking things off tables!

Hmm, I bet you’d have some great questions too!
One sunny day, Sulaiman was leading his big army across the land. His army was very large, with many soldiers, horses, and even birds flying above them. The birds were Sulaiman’s messengers, and they would fly ahead to look out for any dangers or obstacles.
Birds as messengers? Now, that’s a job I’d be good at! Quick flights, important news... but what do you think those birds would tell Sulaiman? ‘Watch out, there’s a mountain ahead!’ or ‘Hey, it’s lunch time!’
As Sulaiman and his army marched, they came near a valley filled with ants. There were thousands and thousands of tiny ants, all working hard and going about their day. These ants lived in the valley, and it was their home.
Can you imagine being that tiny? Ants are super strong for their size! They can lift things way heavier than they are. Could you imagine if we could lift a car? Whoa!
Would you like to live in an ant-sized world? You’d have to watch out for puddles—they’d be like giant swimming pools!
Now, ants may be very small, but they are also very smart. They work together, helping each other to gather food and build their homes. The queen of the ants was especially wise, and she always looked out for her fellow ants.
One of the ants, a particularly adventurous little fellow, liked to boast about his bravery. Did you see me carry that giant crumb yesterday? he’d say. I’m the strongest ant in the whole valley! The other ants would chuckle, knowing that even though he was small, he had a big heart.
That day, as the ants were busy working, the queen ant saw Sulaiman’s army approaching. She knew that the army was very large and that the soldiers and horses might not see the tiny ants on the ground. The queen ant was very worried that her ants could be crushed by the big feet of the soldiers and horses.
Oh no! Can you imagine looking up and seeing a giant army of feet coming toward you? What would you do?
I’d run really fast, that’s for sure!
The adventurous ant looked up and saw the huge army coming. His eyes widened as he realized just how big the soldiers and horses were. Uh-oh, he whispered to himself, maybe I’m not the strongest after all… Wait for me!
The queen ant quickly called out to the other ants, Hurry! Hurry, my fellow ants! Get into your homes quickly, or Sulaiman’s army might step on you without even knowing it!
The other ants heard their queen’s warning, and they rushed to their homes, scurrying as fast as their little legs could carry them. They trusted their queen and knew that she always cared for their safety.
Can you picture it? Thousands of ants all running as fast as their tiny legs can go! It’s like a big ant race! Who do you think would win?
The adventurous ant, who had been so proud of his strength, found himself running as fast as he could to get to safety. I’d rather be a live ant than a squished ant today! he muttered as he hurried along.
Now, remember that Prophet Sulaiman could understand the language of the animals. When the queen ant spoke, Sulaiman heard her words and understood her concern. He smiled warmly, feeling great respect for the brave little ant who cared so much for her people.
Sulaiman gently raised his hand to stop his army. The soldiers and horses came to a halt, and the birds circled above, waiting quietly. Sulaiman looked down at the valley of ants and said with kindness in his voice, Be at peace, little ants. We will not harm you. My army will wait until you are all safely in your homes.
Now, that’s the sign of a truly kind leader, don’t you think? He could have just marched on, but no—he made sure even the tiniest creatures were safe. That’s what real strength looks like, caring for everyone, no matter how small.
The ants quickly hurried into their homes, feeling safe and thankful. The queen ant was very grateful to Sulaiman for his kindness and care. She knew that even though Sulaiman was a great and powerful prophet, he was also gentle and thoughtful.
Isn’t it amazing how even a tiny ant’s voice was heard? It’s like when you have something important to say—it doesn’t matter how small or young you are, your words matter!
Inside their anthill, the adventurous ant breathed a sigh of relief. I think I’ll stick to carrying crumbs from now on, he said, and the other ants laughed. They were all just happy to be safe and sound.
After the ants were safe, Sulaiman allowed his army to continue their journey, carefully avoiding the ants’ homes. As they marched on, Sulaiman felt thankful to Allah for giving him the ability to understand and care for all creatures, no matter how small.
See, it’s not just about being strong or powerful. It’s about being kind, and looking out for the little ones, too. That’s what makes a real leader.
The story of the brave ant and Prophet Sulaiman teaches us many important lessons. It reminds us that even the smallest voices should be heard and respected. It also shows us that being kind and caring for others, no matter how small or different they may be, is a sign of true wisdom and greatness.
Now, next time you see an ant, remember—they’re busy little workers, and they’re just as important as anyone else! Even though they’re small, they have a big place in the world.
So, the next time you see a tiny ant working hard, remember this story. Remember that every creature, big or small, has a place in this world, and we should always be kind and caring to all of them.
Well, my little adventurers, wasn’t that quite the story? Can you believe it? A whole army stopped just because a tiny ant was brave enough to speak up! I mean, who would’ve thought? A little ant, making such a big difference!
But you know what that means, right? It means that even YOU can make a difference, no matter how small you are. It’s not about how big or strong you are—it’s about being kind, thoughtful, and caring for everyone around you. Whether it's your family, your friends, or even a teeny-tiny ant, everyone has a place and everyone deserves respect.

So, tell me, what was your favorite part of the story? Was it the moment Suleiman stopped his whole army? Or maybe the ants running as fast as their little legs could go? Or... was it something else?
And what did we learn today? That even the smallest voice can be heard, if it's spoken with kindness and courage! Remember that next time you see an ant! Give it a wave—or maybe just don’t step on it!
Now, before we flutter off for our next adventure, I have a little secret to share with you. Are you ready for the next story? Oh, it’s a good one! It’s about a very special camel and how it showed people the importance of trust and responsibility. What do you think happens when someone forgets to keep a promise? You’ll have to listen to find out! I’ll give you a hint though—it’s got a lot to do with camels... and maybe even a little bit of patience!

But that’s for next time, my friends! Until then, keep being brave, kind, and curious! And remember—just like our little ant friend, you have a voice that matters. I’ll see you soon for another amazing adventure with the next story. Bye-bye for now!
