What is Gospel Portions?

Reminders of the gospel that was preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, that you may hold fast to the word preached to you.

Ryan Bush:

I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, Therefore, I will call on Him as long as I live. The snares of death encompassed me. The pangs of Sheol lay hold on me. I suffered distress and anguish. Then, I called on the name of the Lord. Oh Lord, I pray, deliver my soul. Gracious is the Lord and righteous. Our God is merciful. The Lord preserves the simple. When I was brought low, he saved me. Return, oh my soul, to your rest. For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. Psalm 116:1-7.

Ryan Bush:

Didst thou for me, my savior, brave, the scoff, the scourge, the gall, the nails, the thorns, the spear, the grave, while I deserved them all. Oh, help me some return to make, to yield my heart to Thee, and do and suffer for Thy sake, as Thou didst then for me. Henry Francis Lyte.
