Speaker 1:

Hello darling, this is River Roaring, celebrating the Luminous Life Force in us all. Hello, darling. I'm River Roaring, and this episode is What Comes After Financial Comfort? You know how some people have plenty of financial comfort and are basically miserable or cranky and upset a lot or maybe addicted to substances or maybe have very few friends or deep heart connections? Well, this podcast is about what comes after financial freedom comfort, and it's for those who are not satisfied with a life of mere financial comfort, because I'm here to help us remember that our lives as well as our sexuality are sacred and overflowing with potential for magic.

Speaker 1:

I was remembering some times in my life where I sort of felt like I had a choice like this, and I remember the first time I was I was in one of the best law schools in the country. When I went to Hastings College of the Law in Downtown San Francisco, in the middle of the city, At that time, that law school was one of the top 15 in the country, and I wasn't sure how I got in, but there I was at one of the greatest law schools in The United States in one of the greatest cities in the world, San Francisco, right in the middle of the city. I knew that I had sort of been selected, you might say, to be part of affluent America, really. I was about 20, and then as the law school years went on and I saw what was expected of us and what my fellow students were doing in order to quote unquote succeed and get the big law firm jobs, I was like, you know what? I am not interested in sitting inside a small windowless suffocating office for eighteen hours a day laboring over some paperwork and computer screens to enrich and line the pockets of my bosses.

Speaker 1:

I just couldn't imagine it, working on stuff that doesn't matter what it is, like I don't have to believe in it. And I knew, no, maybe there's a lot of financial benefit at the end of that road, but no, no, my heart would not be in that. And actually it was at the end of law school, I was sitting in my good friend's law office downtown Austin, Texas in a high rise and it was a big, small but fancy law firm in Austin. The only reason I was law clerking there is because I was friends with one of the partners there, and frankly he was my marijuana dealer. So that's why that was going.

Speaker 1:

But that's why I was clerking there, but then at the end of law school he goes, Hey, I've been talking to my boss, and it looks like we could offer you an associate position here as a lawyer now that you're graduating. And I had a very sharp pain in my stomach that I felt like I was having to double over out of the sharpness of the pain in my belly, And I tried not to completely double over in the chair in the fancy law office out of pain, but I basically bowed out, you know, like I can feel the financial comfort and luxury, but no, I can't give my life to something this small. And then I remember later in my life, a few years later, my partner in life I was with for nine years ended up being a partner in one of the biggest law firms in Texas. So we were living together, and he was a partner in one of the biggest law firms in the state of Texas. And everything in Texas is big, so they were a very big law firm, very lush, and everything was very plush.

Speaker 1:

And I remember knowing that this could be my life. And I was at a lawyer cocktail party, one of many that were expected at that kind of lifestyle. I'm standing around at this cocktail party at some fancy home. I guess it was a home and there was a swimming pool out back and stuff and we were drinking and talking and I was thinking, Man, everybody here is just talking about their money. Like everyone at this party has got some story that relates to their money.

Speaker 1:

Maybe it's about where their children are going to college, but it's still this sort of competitive hierarchy kind of a banter about money. You know, is my child going to the best law school or the best school? And I realized this is financially comfortable. I'm also suffocating here. I can't stay this small in life.

Speaker 1:

It's not going to work for me. And then I remember years later when I was in a far more interesting place in my own life, I had a very beautiful and interesting partner. We were together four years. We never did move in together, but we thought about it. He also really was, I guess you could say, wealthy and spent a lot of time traveling the world, a lot of time, and so he would leave for months at a time.

Speaker 1:

Was such a very beautiful person. He literally would take some trips that were really adventurous, like riding his bike all the way down South America from the top to the bottom, or riding his bike all the way across China, which I think he might have done two or three times, walking the El Camino for months over in Portugal or Spain, going wherever he wanted for months at a time, rainforest, anywhere. And I could see also in that that, Oh, I could be very financially comfortable here with this person, and I do love him. And it turned out, though, that it just wasn't my heart's calling to be luxuriously traveling around the world for my whole life. I mean honestly, it may seem very strange to hear it, but I think many of you will understand this.

Speaker 1:

It felt like too small of a box for me. I knew that my heart's desire was somewhere different. My heart's desire was to build something, build something really amazing and beautiful, and I knew that I wouldn't be able to build if I was always on airplanes and running around here and there and living out of a suitcase or even if it was super fancy suitcase. Believe it or not, the idea of traveling all the time luxuriously felt like too small of a box, and I said, No, no, no. I'm not going to live like this.

Speaker 1:

And there's the version of a lot of people I know who are sort of like partying into the sunset, you know, like, I'm financially comfortable. Now I'm just gonna party every day, all day, whenever I can. Then I'm gonna sleep, then I'm gonna party more. And for me, like, Yeah, okay. I see the possibilities there, but that's too small of a box for me.

Speaker 1:

I'm here to follow my heart's desire. As well, I was a trial attorney, a divorce attorney for over twenty years with my own law office, so I remember as a lawyer handling people's divorces in Austin for twenty years, I handled quite a few people's divorces who were very wealthy, and I knew exactly how wealthy they were because I had my nose in all their accounts because that's part of the divorce process, right? So I'm confidentially handling their accounts and financial information, I had quite a few clients who were sitting on quite a few zeros in their bank account, like lots of zeros, very wealthy. I can remember them right now one at a time as very miserable people. The people I'm thinking of right now in my mind who I helped as a lawyer, who were wealthy, very sad, scattered, easily distractible, pretty much miserable people.

Speaker 1:

And I am not saying that everyone who has money is miserable at all. In fact, I'm here to say something exactly the opposite of that. But all I'm saying is their financial comfort is certainly not equal happiness like I was raised to believe. And I had another friend when I was in legal and politics who was a fundraiser basically for a national movement and talked to me about this time that he was invited into this group of billionaires in The United States. I don't know if they were worldwide, probably, but he was hanging out for a whole weekend at a party exclusively with billionaires, and he was like, you know what was very strange?

Speaker 1:

The whole entire time, they're consumed with talking about their money. That was it. Like, how to get more, how to keep it, how much they've got, what they're doing with it, what the other person's doing with it, all this kind of like competitive and hierarchical type of a conversation about protecting our money, and that's people who are in the billions. They have billionaires. I have known a couple of billionaires myself, and I would not say that either one of them are people who I would call like happy people.

Speaker 1:

So it's interesting, right, because conventional wisdom quote unquote, the kind that my parents brought me up with is that having enough money means you've been successful in life. And I'm here to say, no, not necessarily. If you feel this way, like, oh, well actually that is what I believe, and I I did get enough money, so I thought I was already complete in life. If you feel this way, my love and my darling, you are being fooled, and you're being cheated out of the best parts of life. It doesn't matter whether you're focused on finances and money because you don't have enough to survive, which of course many people are in that position, or if you don't perceive you'll have enough to survive, even though actually you do have enough to survive, which is other people are in that position.

Speaker 1:

I remember as a lawyer, one of my divorce clients sitting on my couch in my law office just crying that he wasn't going to have enough money because he only had a few million dollars. So I was like, well, you know, I just tried to be as compassionate as possible for the experience he was going through, but the truth was he just didn't perceive that he had enough money to survive, but he actually did. Or if you are focused on finances and money because you're trying to protect and save the money that you possess, or if you're trying to protect and save your comfort, or your lazy or leisure lifestyle to which you've become accustomed, which I am not saying that's a bad thing at all. I'm saying that's an awesome thing. And if that's all you're focused on is protecting the comfort, the leisure, the partying lifestyle that you've cultivated, it may seem like you are the most successful person that you know, but actually you're inside of a little trap that's designed to keep you stagnant and distracted from your actual true power, which is beyond financial comfort.

Speaker 1:

So if you're you're focused on money or your comfort as a way of life, as an end all be all, as the goal, you're trained to think that you're ahead of everyone else but you're really falling behind. Those people who are actually finding a deeper level of fulfillment and true happiness in life because we were designed for so much more than financial comfort. The other way of living, I know what physical sensations I get in my body when I know and I can feel in my whole body that I am on purpose, that I am pursuing my heart's desire, my passion, something that's exciting, something that is why I'm here on earth, something that literally feeds my soul in a literal way. When I focus on something, for me, I almost feel like this subtle cramp in my belly that moves up. It's interesting because it was also a sharp cramp that time that it was telling me, No, don't do this!

Speaker 1:

In that law office, and that was more it was really much more like a knife was in there, and it would hurt so bad. But in this version what I feel in my body, I notice this tingly kind of an almost cramp, like, Oh, I almost want to cramp because I'm so excited. It's tingly and it's bubbly inside my belly. And sometimes I notice a swelling or an expansion of all my cells in my whole body, like, oh, or bubbly. I just feel so alive, so expanded.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes I feel a twitch or this rapid squeezing sequence in my yoni. It just goes peep peep peep peep out of the blue. That's when I know like, wow, that was a really great idea, or I'm gonna pursue that. I'm gonna go in that direction because I can feel it when my body is turned on without any chemical inputs. Just turned on.

Speaker 1:

The big juicy pieces of human experience and potential. Finding and following my deepest heart's desires, my soul's bliss and purpose, which are the same thing. My soul's bliss is my soul's purpose, so when I am this turned on, I guarantee you, my darling, I am not focused on this false matrix of scarcity. This system of money that we have built, the scarcity, the competition, that is not actually how the universe really works. That's not natural law.

Speaker 1:

It's not a natural system, the money, the scarcity, the competition. It's just an illusion that we're all agreeing to right now. The system of fear and lack, the systems of debt slavery, wage slavery, or making it financially but then clinging to it. That's the exact same thing. You're still in the matrix.

Speaker 1:

You're in the illusion of separation and scarcity and competition. That's just an illusion. It's not how the universe actually works. The diseased culture of money that we have constructed, the global financial prison that we agree to live inside right now until the day we no longer agree. The interesting thing is that in this case, one of us holds the key to our own prison cell.

Speaker 1:

So I believe that financial survival, obtaining money in our culture, is only even in our culture where we are, where we're not living in our harmonious natural state of being with the universe, which would not have anybody in scarcity. The natural flow of the universe, once we recalibrate ourselves to the natural flow of the universe, there is nobody who's in lack unless they're choosing that. No one's in scarcity. And the money and the financial system in our culture, the way it's set up right now, yes, we do need money just about the same way we need food in this culture. It's not the way we were meant to be, but it's the way it is right now inside of this prison.

Speaker 1:

We need to get money and count our beans every month and get money as we get food. However, yes we do. I'm not denying that. It's a great thing to have enough resources flowing through. That's very very beautiful.

Speaker 1:

But what I'm here to say is that in this culture we're living in, in this moment of the now, it's just meant to be a stepping stone. Having financial comfort is just supposed to be a rite of passage to the next level of human potential. The joy, the desire, connection with others, the passion, the purpose, many, many people will probably stop at financial comfort. And I'm not here to judge that or say there's even a right or wrong about any of this. So it just is that some people will probably stop pursuing other parts of life when they get financial comfort, and that's maybe what they were supposed to do in this lifetime.

Speaker 1:

That's their path. This podcast episode is for those of you, some of you who may be listening today, because some people won't be satisfied with mere financial comfort and will recognize that financial comfort is wonderful. Where we are right now, it's wonderful to have energy of money flowing freely through me and have access to resources with ease, and that is just a stepping stone to something so much bigger, so much more exciting and wonderful, the journey of the heart to heart connection, love and unity with others. Freedom from the fear and the scarcity matrix altogether, the way we were designed to live, abundance and prosperity for all without any hierarchies of survival. No more false sense of lack or scarcity because have you noticed that as a group of humans on earth, we actually do have enough.

Speaker 1:

I'm sure most people have looked around and seen that, even if it's not dispersed evenly or even fairly or even in a way that allows survival of everyone. We do have enough. We have enough of everything on this earth. But the fear and the panic will continue to grow and grow more rapidly every day until we each make a choice. The choice.

Speaker 1:

Are you here to serve yourself and get comfortable? Or are you here on earth to serve others, and becoming comfortable yourself is simply one stepping stone toward the greater goals? Because yes, if I'm going to be here, which I am choosing to dedicate my life to service of others, you could argue whether I'm being very effective at it. I'd be very happy to have that conversation, but that is my choice, to serve others. And yeah, I've chosen to serve others with my life.

Speaker 1:

And what does that mean? It means first I do need to serve myself. I need to put my oxygen mask on first, as they say on the airplane, so that I can get the mask on other people. So yes, I must first love myself, love on myself, including financially, in order to have something to give, to have energy to give to others, but it's a stepping stone, and then I move on. So what is your deepest desire?

Speaker 1:

What is your heart's desire if you didn't have to think at all about money or resources? If that were no object what is your deepest heart calling? What's possible for you on the other side of financial comfort? This is not a choice that I can make from my ego or my fearful fearful logical mind when I ask what my heart's desire is. It's a choice I make from somewhere more vast and boundless inside myself, my body, my being, my soul.

Speaker 1:

It's a choice that I make through my heart for the highest good of all beings. It's choosing yes to life, to love, to loving heart connection with all beings. It's remembering why we're really here. So River, you call yourself a sexual healer. What does all this have to do with sex?

Speaker 1:

Well, darling, about sex, it is. Our sexual health and happiness, the deep nourishment that's available in the quote unquote best sex comes from heart connection. Even if it's kinky AF, it's still the deep heart connection because I'm a very kinky person. I'm not talking about the heart connection that only looks one way. I'm talking about your wildest dreams and wildest fantasies and wildest sexual desires are going to be more interesting when they come from a deep heart connection.

Speaker 1:

Because that's what makes a sexual experience great. It actually isn't the luxury sheets or the most expensive evening gown or sex toy. A great lover is not focused above all on financial comfort. No. A great lover knows that money is merely a stepping stone to epic heart connection with others, so great sex is simply a part of what comes after financial comfort.

Speaker 1:

Great love becomes its own joyful and energizing focus, and it's such a more juicy and fun and thrilling focus and soul inspiring focus than focusing on money, getting it or keeping it. So your deeper desires, your deepest desires, because the great of sex fulfills your deepest desire for union with another and that becomes your focus, sacred union of the body, heart, and soul. And if I reflect back on the stories I shared earlier about the certain kind of moments in my life where I recognized that I wasn't going to be able to be satisfied in life by mere financial comfort. Since then, I have chosen to live fully and warmly, including my vibrant sexuality as a way of connecting lovingly with others and as a way of tapping into my heart's deepest desires. And then even when I am not in a connection with my partner and I'm by myself, I now am following my deepest heart's desires every day in what I eat and where I live and what I do during the day and what time I get up in the morning and what I do in the mornings and what time I go to sleep at night.

Speaker 1:

It's my desire propelling me forward from a love of life and a love of what's possible here. And as a result, I will say what I've often said before, not in spite of but because of its ups and downs, including the glorious, magnificent, heart connected sexual encounters I've been blessed to have, I have had one of the most beautiful lives that any human has ever lived. And if you feel called to this choice, if you feel called to choosing something bigger than mere financial comfort, if you feel called to recognizing that is just your stepping stone to the next bigger, more beautiful thing, then I want that for you also. And my darling, I believe that it's now more important than ever to make a choice like this. I will share what I believe is coming forward in the next about five years.

Speaker 1:

It's not a very long amount of time. I think it's from all of my background of two decades plus as lawyer and lobbyist that I have maintained a connection with global news feeds from my own trusted sources, and I like to keep one eye on what the global management team is doing, mostly for giggles because they're falling apart on their face and it's just delightful to watch after being stuck in their matrix all those years and all these decades, especially when I was a lawyer, really just playing their game, the world management team's game, and stuck in their matrix. And so now I watch the news and I'm just seeing their system fall to the ground. And so I believe that in the next five years, believe AI is going to be sucking a lot of people in all the way so that some people are going to just start becoming basically more and more reliant on even as a friend, even emotionally reliant on their AI. And that's not a path to freedom, my darling.

Speaker 1:

In my book, I'm telling you how I believe. I also believe that AI is going to be spitting some people out and not bringing them in, but spitting them out of their jobs and threatening their own survival financially. I think that maybe lots of people on that. I also know that AI has literally crossed the line already right now so that AI robots are now killing humans in war without any human supervision. That line was crossed very recently in the Ukraine Russia war.

Speaker 1:

Both sides now have fully automated AI killing robots. And I'm saying that because money and power just doesn't lead anywhere beautiful and productive. If you go all the way down the road, you're at that point to it. That's where the think of the logical ultimate kill, where it goes if everyone's trying to amass more money for themselves. Even more serious than that, I believe that the global financial system will be falling apart right in front of our eyes within the next five years because there's an inflation now of inflation of the economic system that can no longer be controlled by anyone.

Speaker 1:

And we have a global sovereign debt house of cards that's about to fall like dominoes. And what I mean is the countries themselves, like the most countries in the world, have literally been doing what they're forcing a lot of humans to do too, which is just have so much debt that you just can't pay it anymore. You just can't pay it anymore. The interest this year on The US debt has been over $1,000,000,000,000 so far in this year. Just the interest on the debt and taxpayers and no one else can ultimately keep up with that.

Speaker 1:

So a lot of countries are in the same position where they're just being propped up right now with toothpicks, like a house of cards propped up with toothpicks and it's already starting to fall and the global sovereign debt crisis is going to really fall like dominoes through the financial systems of the world and take them down. That's what I believe, and I also believe the next round of world war, which is going to be a series of regional wars that all kind of feel like one big one, and that's just going to put more strain on this global financial house of cards until it all falls down. And when the global financial system starts to fall apart before our very eyes, which I personally predict in the next five years, you don't have to believe me at all. Us disregard this if you don't believe me, and if you are following with me, will you be unaffected by this because your focus has been on much more interesting things already, and you almost don't even notice when the global financial system falls apart because your life is built on deep human loving connections with others, and we're all going to support one another and take care of one another because we've already focused on loving one another as our main priority?

Speaker 1:

Or will you fall down with this house of cards because you put all your stock in something so fragile and so false as the financial matrix. So are you going to go further into fear around finances, or are you gonna get free, true freedom, the one that's available to you right now, matter what, inner freedom. Because once each one of us sets ourselves free in this way, we're all free in that very moment. This unnecessary matrix of fear and financial slavery will only end for all beings when it ends inside of you and me. Change will only come one at a time as we each choose something different from what it is right now.

Speaker 1:

This whole entire global system of finance only operates because you and I are agreeing to it. And every change happens in the world because individuals inside themselves change. So which system will you choose to bring to life inside yourself for yourself? Which system will you choose to live inside of today? Today, will you continue to perpetuate this matrix of financial servitude by focusing on money, comfort, luxury?

Speaker 1:

By choosing to keep your choosing to keep your own focus inside of your own prison cell, even if it is a velvet prison? Or will you free yourself and all beings by choosing a life of inner freedom, meaning, heart connection, and purpose. It's really about what we choose to focus on. And I know it may not be easy, but nothing worth it ever is, is it? So some things you can do today if you're interested in this, if this is catching if you're feeling called to what I'm talking about, then I invite you something you can do today if you feel like it.

Speaker 1:

I invite you to set aside some space, maybe tonight at the end of the evening or maybe tomorrow morning you have some space, wake up and assess your situation honestly. So here are some questions. Yes, money in our moment now is essential. It's as essential as food for survival, so yes, take action to survive. But the question is not do you have money?

Speaker 1:

The question is how do you relate with money and finances? So here's the question to sit with. How much of my energy in a day or a week is spent gathering money, spending money, thinking about money, worrying about money, protecting money, or strategizing about money. And what would happen if I lived with a different overall focus? So I invite you as a practice, if you want to do it, take a whole day to focus on more interesting parts of life, your soul's calling, heart connecting with someone, meditating on how you could bring a higher focus to more of your time.

Speaker 1:

Maybe you have to take a few minutes to do something for survival, like do some work or arrange some finances. Do that with ease and grace, and then get back to the juicy the real focus. What happens when you spend a whole day immersed in your deeper desires, cultivating your natural gifts? I just had a vision of being a young child, and my mother took us sometimes to the library. Of course this is in the days before computers, so the library and we'd walk into the library and she'd say, You can look anywhere you want in the library.

Speaker 1:

It was like, Oh my god, I'm so free! Oh my gosh, I can look at any subject, I can go down any aisle, I can pick up any subject A to Z in the whole world and like go get a book and learn about it, like oh my god, the universe is so available to me, Where does my heart desire to go run around and look in this library first? Now we don't have those paper libraries the same way we used to, do we? But what happens when you do spend an entire day just following your heart as if you were a little kid in a library with nothing but free time, and the library also had crayons and paper and all kinds of art stuff? And then if you're able to do that for a whole day as a practice, just one day, I'm not gonna think about money at all one minute.

Speaker 1:

Or if I do, I'm gonna quickly take care of a quick thing, and that's it. Then I'm coming back to just my heart's desire. It doesn't matter if I can pay the bills this month or if I could pay the bills the rest of my life with no problem. It doesn't matter what would happen if you didn't think about that for a whole day. And then if you do it for a day, what would happen if more of my days were like this?

Speaker 1:

How did it feel? How'd it feel? It's just a follow heart for a day without thinking about living in scarcity or debt, but knowing, what if I lived in full abundance? I choose a world where I and all beings are completely released of debt and strings attached to resources and money and completely released from competition and scarcity and systems of lack, all concepts of lack. We're free from them, and I choose a world where all beings live in abundant prosperity because in truth, we already do.

Speaker 1:

We already live in a world that has enough for everybody easily and that we each follow our heart's desire every day, that we take the key out of our own pocket and put it in the prison door and let ourselves out of this prison one at a time inside ourselves, one at a time inside myself. I'm free. And as each person does that, that's all it takes, my darling. That's all it takes. You can change the entire universe by changing yourself, so think about becoming luminous, starting to radiate and glow.

Speaker 1:

Bring more love and light to your life by choosing to live from a different perspective. Cultivate your Luminous Life Force. There is a path to freedom for you, my love. And yes, I do work with private clients on exactly this. I get to follow my heart's desire, and my greatest heart's desire to serve others is to help my clients get free, fully free inside, inner freedom, the freedom that's way beyond financial comfort, that's so far more beautiful than that, it's so satisfying and fulfilling, so much more than just money, and warmly including our sexuality as a lovely path to the optimization of joy and heart connection.

Speaker 1:

Sexuality is in front and center as a way of cultivating the most powerful energy in our entire body to also be channeled toward our heart's desire in this world and in this lifetime. So it's stepping into a life of your heart's desire your sexuality. I will say that I have space right now for two more private clients this year, so we're in September 2026 right now, and I have space to accept two more private clients this year. I'm available to start this month with both of you, and that will be it for the year. Why?

Speaker 1:

Because I only have a few private clients at a time because my heart's desire is to get really close with you when we work together. I offer seven month long containers. So if you are feeling called toward this, working together very closely with me as a private client, we enter into a hands on, in person relationship, and when we're not in person, I offer a daily communication thread so that we become like BFFs, and I will be all up under you and guiding you and showing you hands on practices and helping you retrain your body to joy and also guiding you when we're not together on lots of practices you can do with yourself and others to increase your heart's desires coming true on earth in this lifetime, including sexually, and to find what comes after the financial comfort, my darling.
