Tales of the Broken Realms

A villainous adventuring party travels from Tideswell toward Lacefield, chooses to camp rather than risk exhaustion, and encounters a lone halfling merchant; after coercing her for future intel, they cut off her hand as leverage, cauterize the stump, and loot her company wagon, including a journal. Entering Lacefield, guards inspect and magically catalog weapons; one member successfully uses a fake name, another is caught, prompting Mulwrath to reveal himself and intimidate Ferrison into wiping the records and allowing entry. Inside, the party secures rooms at the guest house connected to The Final Draught, learns about Moravael the jeweler, and hears that a black dome covers the old temple and that “The Pious” cult follows a priestess linked to Pelor. They pressure Moravael to flee, pursue information about a “lucky” sword and cult plans to contain divinity, and bribe/pressure Ferrison to retrieve the sword and obtain schematics, then regroup to plan infiltration using commissioned cult-like outfits.

What is Tales of the Broken Realms?

Welcome to Tales of the Broken Realm, A multistory episodic Dungeons and Dragons Campaign. Where the Dungeon Master is changing once their story has been told, all within the same world. Sit back and enjoy this adventure.

Grace: Okay.

So my devious deviants we are going to
begin with you all on the road already.

You have set off from
Tideswell, collecting there from

wherever you were previously.

And you have been
traveling for about a day.

It's about a day and a half
travel from Tideswell to the city

that you're going to, Lacefield.

And you can…

The sun is beginning to set, so the first
sort of decision that I will pose to

you is, would you like to push through
the night and get there by morning, or

rest now and get there about midday?

If you push through the night,
you'll be risking exhaustion but

I will leave it to the group.

And discuss.

Where do your priorities lie?

Kaleb: I'll be honest, I, this is
above table, I think it would be

bad to start off ri- like right off
the rip with a level of exhaustion.

But that's also just me.

Zac: Yes, I am in agreeance with that.

I would say that is probably best
to sit, ca- camp out for the night.

No normal party would walk through the
night without being somewhat suspicious.

Chased by something.

And Lacefield's already suspicious
what we know pre disposition here.

Adam: Yeah.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Zac: Are

Adam: you talking- The tortoise.

Grace: Oh.

Is this a voice?

Matthew L.A

Yeah, I fucked up that one, didn't I?

Adam: Slow and steady wins the race.

Okay.

I humbly rest here.

Grace: All right.

You pull off to the side of the road.

There aren't really any sort of towns
in between your previous between

Tideswell and your destination.

But you find a decent little clear
spot off the side of the road.

And is there anything in particular
you all would like to do?

Anything that your character
would take charge of in setting

up your camp for the night?

You do have a wagon and
a handful of horses.

The exact number is up to your preference
of if you think you would ride on a

horse or in the wagon or etcetera.

Do

Zac: we have provisions in terms of food?

Grace: You do.

You have-

Zac: Okay

… Grace: about a week's worth
of provisions with it.

It's a bit excess, but that's
what you've been provided.

Zac: How many horses?

Grace: Again, that's up to you.

Two at least, and then if anyone
would've brought or requested their

own horse, then that's an additional

Kaleb: Pel would see it pertinent
to get a fire started, like

if nothing, just a small one.

And then doesn't need to sleep and so
would volunteer for like first watch

if everybody else is gonna be sleeping

Zac: Sure.

I think Molrath…

Also to note, because I took this in
consideration, I will be doing like a

Bane voice, 'cause Molrath is gonna cover
most of his face with a mask, and he's

gonna use that as part of his disguise
because he is Malakar's secondhand man.

He is pretty noticeable.

So he's going to mask the
lower half of his face.

And I think I think he's just gonna
go in the wagon itself and crash out.

He's not even gonna say
anything to the party

Adam: Good for his own shoes, I see

Zac: What was that?

What did you say?

Adam: If you weren't in the wagon,
you would be able to hear me.

Zac: I'd mind your tongue, Turtle.

Best it leave your mouth

Skyy: I could always eat 'em for you.

I know we've offered this a
couple times, but, Offers later

Zac: Understood.

Thank you.

Now

AKA vampire bitch

Kaleb: number one.

Grace: Wow.

What an incredible dynamic
we've got off so far.

Kaleb: Starting off

Adam: strong.

Zac: It's a party of villains, man.

What do you expect to hear?

Grace: Hey, yeah.

Adam: I'm

Grace: a little-

Hello, Mr.

Professional

Adam: Calling You … how
do you do, fellow kids?

Fellow

Skyy: kids.

Adam: I don't know.

I'm the only reptilian around here.

How do you

do, fellow kids?

I'm the only reptilian.

I'm the odd one out in this group.

Aven is going to walk over to the
corner of the woods and pull out his

five sticks of incense and light them
with his fingertips and lay them down.

And he is going to have
a a soft prayer in Aquin

Okay.

Grace: Okay, getting a little
prayer action going, as we

would expect from a cleric.

Well done, sir.

Adam: Inspiration.

Got it.

Grace: No.

Kaleb: Inspiration, I love it.

Grace: I fulfilled the base requirements
for being a cleric, so good on you-

Good job … but respectfully, no.

Kaleb: Yeah, once Kel- Kelsay get
the fire started and then he's

actually gonna go over to Melora and
just be like, "Now, this, I'm gonna

be real honest I don't trust the
turtle as far as I can throw him.

You know me and religious types
don't get along real well.

Skyy: Yeah.

… Kaleb: I'm gonna, I'm gonna
keep an eye on the perimeter.

You keep an eye on him, 'cause
I'm gonna be honest, he gives me a

little bit of the heebie-jeebies."

Skyy: The, the turtle gives
you the heebie-jeebies?

Kaleb: Yeah, I mean- Is it his toes?

… despite the turtle…

it's not the toes, it's that
he speaks to a god, and that

is anathema to my existence.

It's, yeah.

Yeah, I know.

So yeah,

we're gonna, we're gonna- Yeah.

That, that's gonna be bridge we're
gonna have to cross at some point.

Skyy: Yeah, we've been
telling you, but it's fine.

We'll work on it.

Baby steps.

Maybe eventually we can hockey puck him,

Kaleb: y- you s- you said,
it's like you're in my brain.

Damn.

All right.

So yeah, Kel's gonna Kel's gonna
get the fire going, then he's

just gonna start doing a perimeter
just walking around and checking,

making sure everything looks good.

Grace: All right, yeah.

Go ahead and make a
perception check for me.

Adam: Yeah.

Might wanna grab the right die.

That would help.

That would help.

That is going to be a 19.

Grace: 19.

Okay, yeah, that's pretty good.

As you're making your rounds, you
hit one spot near the road where

you can see down it quite a ways.

And you actually see what looks to
be another camp that has been set up.

It's just like the barest flickering
firelight and some, slightly

more rigid shapes than what you
would normally see in the woods.

But looks like maybe almost a quarter
mile away, but- Okay … there appears

to be some fellow travelers on the road
towards the town from where you are.

Okay.

So they're farther

Kaleb: along.

'Cause of the direction we're traveling.

Okay, perfect.

Yeah.

I'm not gonna say anything init-
do I notice that there's th-

people moving around, or I just
see the shapes of the camp?

Grace: You mostly see, the 19, you
see the shape of another wagon, or

what looks like, just like a hard edge
that's, slightly lifted from the ground-

Okay … so you would perceive- I don't
see- … another wagon … fine things

… but you don't see figures per se.

Okay … and that's only because
the wagon is in front of the fire,

so you see the outline- Far down

almost, but-

Kaleb: Cool

… Grace: again, it is a ways away,

Kaleb: yeah, I'm not gonna
immediately say anything.

I'm gonna finish my round, and then when
I make my s- way back towards the tents,

I'll probably relay that I see, at least
see something to the rest of the group

I'm just gonna let you guys know
there's another camp down the road.

I don't see anybody moving.

But I'm gonna be honest, not a
coi- it just feels like not a

coincidence that we would have run
into somebody else on this path.

I don't know, it just, something
doesn't seem quite right

Ah, what do you think we should do?

Should we take care of them?

Adam: Yeah, it's just fully Bane.

Zac: It is.

Adam: It's fully Bane.

Zac: It's fully Bane.

That's what I was going for, 'cause I
could not come up with another voice.

Grace: Hey,

Adam: yeah.

I'm here for it.

Totally.

Do you need an enhancer?

Kaleb: Takes it, just immediately
just start, change his voices.

Oh, Magic Claritin.

Zac: When he takes his mask
off, he's like, "Hey guys,

what's up?"

Terrible.

No, I'm joking.

I'm jo- I'm not doing that.

Adam: What

an evil voice that is.

Zac: Yeah, thanks.

Kaleb: But he's…

Yeah, Cal,

Zac: Yeah.

Adam: Oh.

Do you think we should approach the camp
and burn it to the ground mysteriously?

Zac: He

Adam: sure is.

Yeah, burn it to the ground
mysteriously, just straight off.

Mysteriously.

Zero to 20.

Oh, God, dog, that's funny.

Oh.

Zac: What about we stage it as
if bandits killed them, gaining

our way into Lacefield, saying we
are being chased by proprietors?

Kaleb: Now you're singing a
tune that I'm liking, my man

That's my vote

Zac: Let's go introduce
ourselves, shall we?

And we will make our way over to the camp.

Grace: All right, yeah.

You guys go ahead and make
some stealth checks for me.

Are you being stealthy or
are you just walking up?

Zac: I think like 'cause you said
what, it's probably a quarter mile,

so it's a little bit of a walk.

Okay.

I think on the way there we're gonna…

I would at least, Molrath would at
least tell the group to say, we're

weary merchants and w- we would
just like to trade some goods."

Try to keep the peace at first
and then, do what we gotta do.

Unless any other ideas.

Kaleb: This is like this
is at night, correct?

W- like nighttime?

Skyy: Probably, Is it dim or dark?

… a

Kaleb: good hour after

Grace: sunset.

Yeah.

Kaleb: Okay.

So like it, it's like a
dim light or darkness.

That's more, the specific.

The reason I'm saying- … I, Kel would
naturally not trust . So I'm gonna, I

can cast invisibility on myself without
burning one of my spell slots, so I'm

gonna do that and hide off just as a panic
button in case something does pop off

All right.

And at this point- You left me here.

Now is this like a, just an open field?

Is the road in like an open
field, or is it like wooded,

is there trees on both sides?

Grace: It is sparsely wooded.

Okay … it seems that this little camp
has set up next to a small cluster of

trees but there are more clear areas.

Yeah.

Zac: Okay.

Grace: Some trees.

Okay.

Yeah,

Kaleb: I'm, I'm-

Grace: Not a ton

… Kaleb: I'm gonna cast my invisibility
and hang off from the group as they

walk off, probably 10, 15 feet.

Grace: Okay, cool.

So yeah, for you we'll say, going
forward if you're just passively

observing, hanging out, we'll forgo
any stealth checks, but if you wanna

do anything, let me know and we'll make
sure you're being stealthy about it.

Adam: I gotcha.

Grace: How are the rest
of you approaching?

Zac: Morath's gonna be like hobbling,
crutched over using a walking stick.

He's just gonna grab a stick
from the ground he sees, and he's

gonna use it like he's using a
walking stick, and has an ailment.

He's got the mask.

Just gonna really sell it.

Kaleb: All right.

Skyy: I will look down at my half
plate and then just walk, 'cause

I can't be stealthy for shit.

Adam: He's just gonna look
down at his turtle body

and kinda, kinda be like
he has disadvantage to

stealth checks, so he's just

gonna walk with the plate armor.

Me too, bud.

Negative one.

Negative one to stealth.

So we're just gonna walk
up, turtle and, and fire.

Walk into a bar.

Grace: Hi.

That's

Kaleb: the beginning of a terrible joke.

Grace: Okay.

So yeah, you guys approach you can
see as you get closer it is a fairly

small wagon, and it seems to be
just one person in this little camp.

There's a small fire with a
a little pot boiling over it.

And there is a halfling woman currently
tending the fire who since you guys

aren't attempting to be stealthy, sort of
perks up and casually grabs a little hand

ax from beside her as you all approach

Zac: Ah, do not fear, little one.

We are but weary travelers
and merchants alike.

We only come to offer warmest
regards and quiet conversation

Grace: All right then.

That's-- I'm a merchant as well.

I should warn you, it's
pretty much all accounted for.

I have a quota to meet,
so I can't offer you much.

But I suppose if you'd like to offer…

I can offer you a small meal.

Don't have much rations to go around, but,

Zac: What brings you outside of Lacefield?

Grace: Oh I'm actually
heading to Lacefield.

I must have been just
ahead of you on the road.

I'm hawking my wares, as it were.

They have a, a good market
for rare imports there.

Lots of rare components and
really just general supplies that

they need a steady supply of.

So I'm hoping to make my business there.

Zac: Ah, you've never done
business with Lacefield before?

Grace: Not specifically, but
it's not my first rodeo per se.

Zac: Oh, understood.

Understood.

We've been traveling for quite some time.

We come from Tideswell.

It seems that we have missed, by
the gods, the bandits on the roads.

They can be quite troublesome at times

Adam: Is that your cue?

Is that your cue?

Do I light it on fire?

Kaleb: Is that like a wagon

Adam: on

Zac: fire?

Adam: Is that- It's not a cue,

Zac: Jill.

Is that- Jill.

Morad's gonna be like, he's gonna like
slightly look over at the turtle and go-

Adam: He just-

Zac: No,

no.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking of next.

You just see me by the wagon like,
like fixing to snap my fingers.

I will tell you this,
I will tell you this.

I will look because obviously
we're right outside of Lacefield.

I don't wanna be too
loud or too rambunctious.

I would say, it is quite
kind you offer us a meal.

Creatures of the night
often want a bite to eat.

And I am

Adam: going to look where Cal's
character is or in the general vicinity.

Invisible.

And I'm

Zac: gonna try- Yeah … to
see, yeah, in the vicinity.

I'm gonna try to see if he catches onto
the cue, 'cause I am gonna cue him.

Oh.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Cal absolutely Ca- he he d-
he would, without even missing

a beat I can roll something.

I'm gonna pick up on that you
wanted me to bite this guy.

Zac: Oh, yeah.

I want you to eat this little halfling.

Kaleb: Let's- Little halfling man.

Let's go.

Yeah, no, absolutely.

Stealth to get…

I'm gonna move up and
absolutely bite this guy.

Grace: Yeah.

Okay.

So since you are taking action now,
go ahead and roll stealth to try and

get close enough before she notices.

Kaleb: Would, because I'm
invisible, get it with advantage?

Question mark.

Grace: Yes.

Kaleb: Oh, hell yeah.

Okay, cool.

Ooh glad I did that.

15.

Grace: She rolled a 16, my friend Damn.

Kaleb: All

Adam: right.

Grace: Just barely.

You, it is fall, so there is a nice cover
of leaves across the ground, and you're

attempting to step softly, step in the
more grassy areas, but you catch one

stray, just exceptionally crunchy leaf.

This would be excellent news under or-
ordinary circumstances, but unfortunately

it does give you away a little bit.

She whips around, hand axe raised,
and is "Now I don't mean to be rude,

but I can't help but notice perhaps
some deception happening here."

And you're roughly about
five, 10 feet from her.

If you would like to proceed, you can.

If that stops you sure.

But she's aware of your presence now

Kaleb: Cool.

Hal is going to drop his invisibility
and he is gonna stumble forward

and just be like, "Oh, God.

So glad I ran up on fel-
on fellow travelers.

God, have you guys…

they got everybody.

Oh my gosh, they got Daniel and Paul.

Oh my God, I'm The bandits.

Oh my God."

And he just like starts sobbing
and like kind of stumbles forward

and like collapses on the ground.

He's like, "Please, you,
th- they're back behind us.

You guys gotta help me hide."

Grace: Roll a performance check, my dude.

Zac: Please.

Kaleb: Oh.

Grace: We are sinking- Please … further
and further into this little production.

Kaleb: Three for seven?

Zac: Wow.

Adam: Wow.

Zac: Now?

Grace: Is it, is

Zac: it time?

Grace: She is very defensive now.

Okay,

Zac: Okay.

Kaleb: All right.

Do I clock that she didn't believe that?

Grace: Absolutely.

Kaleb: She-

Grace: I'm guessing you clock that
she didn't believe it … keeps her

hand at the reins and takes more of
a defensive stance, and is "All right

now, I'm I feel for your troubles,
but respectfully I'm gonna have to

ask you to please leave my presence.

This is my camp, and I would like to
enjoy it alone now, if you don't mind."

Zac: All right.

You're going to listen
to us now, little one.

We have a job to do, and you
are going to help us do it.

Your mere trade route will not
make you wealthy, but Malakars

riches those are unprecedented.

I suggest and propose a deal

Grace: What sort of deal?

Zac: I shan't tell you why we are
going to Laceville, but I will tell

you if you help us, if you bend an
ear and feed us information we ask

with no questions, I can make you
wealthier beyond your wildest dreams.

I might not be a smart man, but I am wise

Grace: All right.

Go ahead and make, we'll call
it a persuasion check, and since

she already doesn't trust you,
I'm gonna say with disadvantage.

Zac: Oh, shit.

Okay.

Kaleb: Would, could I summon my
pact blade and use that as a way to

give him advantage to negate that?

Grace: Sure.

Although judging by that face- I doubt it
… I don't know how much it's gonna help.

Zac: That's a six.

Grace: A six.

I have excellent news.

All over this.

Your insight was a four.

It is-

Adam: That's pretty high

… Grace: it is a battle of
very close rolls right now.

This is crazy.

Sorry, yeah.

Okay.

So she looks around at all of
you very clearly outnumbered,

which is points in your favor.

And she goes, "I don't suppose
I have much of a choice, do I?"

Zac: You have a choice.

If you were to say no, it
would not be in your favor

Grace: All right might as well
hear you out, what do you want?

Zac: Once again, we cannot
disclose why we are going to

Lacefield, but we need information.

I would like you to go about your
normal trade route just as you see fit.

But I will let you know this, if you make
aware of any denizen of Lacefield to our

talents, we will make sure you have
the worst time alive imaginable for

the short time you will be there.

I will honor my word and maybe this will
tell you what type of influence I have.

Adam: And Malakar-- or M- not Malakar.

Mo-

Zac: excuse me, not Malakar.

This is not a plot twist.

Morath is going to take his mask
off to show his face, 'cause I

feel like in the realm, he is
really well known for who he is.

He did overthrow Opalkeep.

And he's going to take his mask
off and then extend a hand.

And as he extends his hand,
he says, "So now that we are

acquainted, what is your name?"

Oh God, he's hideous.

Grace: Yeah, I guess it's worth
mentioning, what does Morath

look like under that mask?

Zac: Morath has a…

Just he has no mustache, but he's kinda
got that just undercut beard right here.

He's got pale blue skin and dark
stringy black hair with piercing yellow

eyes, and he does have a scar that
kinda goes right above his eyebrow

and through his nose, as he's been
wounded in battle plenty of times.

His ears are weirdly shaped.

They're almost cut like a
jack-o'-lantern's mouth going up.

And his neck is thick, and as you
can see as he extends his entire

body, 'cause he's not trying to
pretend to be, any, suffering from

any kind of ailment or anything.

He stands up and he's
extremely broad-shouldered.

He's about six six and,
250-plus pounds, give or take

Big dude

Grace: All right, yeah Scary guy You
tower over this barely three-foot

little halfling woman and she will
very tentatively reach out a hand to

shake yours and spit off to the side,
clearly not happy about it, but in this

moment she cares a bit more about her
life than her loyalty, so there you go.

You've made an uneasy alliance
with this little halfling woman.

She says, "All right.

Then, I'm inclined to send you
on your way, and I'll see you in

town, but for now, please leave."

Zac: Oh, yes, one more thing.

We have no leverage on
you, and there's no…

He's gonna put his mask
back on, obviously.

He's gonna say we do have one of
the best clerics in this realm.

He is quite a healer.

We need something from you first to
ensure your part in what we want to do."

And Morath is gonna cut her hand off.

Grace: Jeez.

Zac: And then- Okay.

I'm just going clean swipe.

Yeah

Grace: Yeah what is your…

We'll just treat this as like
a passive roll essentially.

So what is your attack bonus?

Zac: My attack bonus on my
battle axe is a plus nine, and

I have a 20 strength, plus five.

Grace: Okay.

Yeah, no problem.

You sweep down and in one motion as you're
holding her hand, I'm assuming still swipe

through the teeny tiny bones in her wrist.

She screams loudly.

And yeah, reacts as you'd probably
expect from a person who's just had

their hand suddenly chopped off.

Zac: So what I'm gonna do so she doesn't
bleed out is I'm gonna grab her stump,

stick it in her campfire to cauterize
the wound, and then I'm gonna hand her a

potion of healing that I do have on me.

And then as she's screaming, and this is
all done probably relatively quick 'cause

I don't want her to continue screaming,
I'm gonna look at her and I'm gonna

say, "Now we have something of yours.

You will get it back after we complete our
mission, plus your payment as promised.

My friend here can heal your hand,
and we will promise to give it back.

But if you decide to fuck us over I will
keep this, then take your other, and then

your legs, and I will end with your head.

Are we clear?"

Grace: Is just openly sobbing just
from pain and being overwhelmed in

this moment, and she just, "Yeah.

Yeah, we're clear

and just absolutely just crumples goes
into like almost a fetal position just

clutching this stump of her arm and seems
uninterested in further conversation.

Zac: Wonderful.

We've done well, guys.

That's

Adam: wonderful.

Can I go through her wagon?

Can I go through her wagon now?

Grace: Sure.

She's certainly not gonna stop you.

Roll an investigation.

Adam: Nice.

So you just see the turtle
man- … hunched over into the

wagon and throwing things out.

Yep.

Yep,

Yep.

Grace: Okay yeah, you find-

Adam: Let's see.

I rolled a 15.

Grace: 15, okay, yeah, pretty standard.

You find an assortment of
your pretty standard wares.

It's almost like a, a traveling general
store almost of the things that she's

carrying, all manner of travel supplies.

There's a surprising number of just
small household goods and some cooking

materials that vanilla, certain oils
different things that you imagine would

take some refinement that would not be
found within this relatively small town.

… I guess bigger picture the wagon
itself is branded with the logo

of the Tula Trading Company.

It's Goose's trading company.

Kaleb: Hey.

Grace: Yeah.

Hey.

Zac: I did think- That's
right … that might happen.

Grace: Yep.

Zac: It's like seeing Waylon-

Grace: Unexpected … Jean in a

Zac: Predator movie.

That's right.

Kaleb: Yes.

Out of curiosity, does it
look like there's any kind

of her personal belongings?

Grace: Yeah, there are a couple.

They're in a a small compartment up
near the front of the wagon, but yeah.

Kaleb: Be right back.

Yeah I'd like to go through that.

Grace: Okay.

Kaleb: And that is a- Investigation,
please … investigation.

That's gonna be a 12.

12,

Grace: okay.

Yeah, pretty standard.

Clothes, a few just general hygiene
items, a couple extra pairs of shoes.

Yeah, all the things that you
would expect to find, just-

Nothing of nothing that would look

Kaleb: like it was sentimental value?

Grace: You find, we'll say a journal.

Kaleb: Okay

… Grace: and maybe a few pieces of
jewelry that might be sentimental.

Okay.

It's hard to tell, just you,
you'd never know looking at a

person what pieces of items would
be sentimental or not, but yeah.

Adam: That show it to
her, is this sentimental?

Grace: If you do, she doesn't care.

She's probably just

sitting with her jaw
stumped open right now.

Nope, you're good.

Yeah.

Adam: I'm good.

I'm gonna, I'm gonna head off.

Can I,

can I stick a s- can I stick one
of my scrolls inside one of the

places that we found later in town?

Grace: Yes, you may.

Are you trying to hide it more

Adam: permanently?

I'm just gonna stick

Grace: it.

Or just-

Adam: Yeah, I'll just stick it
in the side drawer of one of

the, one of the compartments.

Grace: Okay, sure.

Mark off one of your four.

Adam: Cool.

Thank you.

That's about it

Grace: You torture this
woman before you leave.

Adam: I thought about
torturing her, but nah.

No.

It's not-

Kaleb: I know Terry would torture her

… Adam: good torture enough.

It's just not fun anymore, I know.

I like them screaming more.

Kaleb: I would've walked, I
would've walked up and said, "You

have a good night, you hear?"

And just keep walk off.

Grace: He says "I imagine you probably
don't speak Halfling, but if you did,"

she she has some choice words in Halfling.

Oh, yeah.

Kaleb: Sort of mutter under her breath.

He doesn't understand, but he gets
the gist and just goes, "Language."

And just walks off

Okay, back to camp.

Grace: All right.

Yeah, you all walk off.

One ally, question mark?

Richard.

I hope.

Adam: Off to work we go.

Grace: Yeah.

All right.

So are there any other devious deeds
you want to get to before you bed down

for the night, or is that it from you?

Nothing

Kaleb: beyond.

Or this evening?

No.

Nothing from me.

I'm good

Grace: Great.

The rest of the night passes uneventfully,
and as the sun rises, it is a clear, brisk

autumn day, and you can be on your way.

I don't suppose anyone has any
opinions of where they would be in

terms of position as you travel along?

Again, you can be riding a horse,
you can be riding in the wagon,

you can be walking alongside.

Or if it doesn't matter,
we can move right along

Zac: I'm gonna be hobbling right
next to the front of the cart.

Mask on, crunched over, walking stick

Adam: I guess I'll just be in the wagon
'cause I stick out like a sore thumb.

Skyy: Yeah.

I'll…

I'll be driving.

I have my own horse.

Adam: Of course you do.

Skyy: Yeah.

That's…

Somebody's gotta.

Pretty

Adam: girls, pretty girls get
pretty horses that they get to ride.

She's also a horse girl.

Skyy: I'm also a horse girl.

Kaleb: I would assume our childhood
would have turned her into a horse girl,

Skyy: 100% horse girl.

Zac: Onward!

Adam: Don't mind me.

Don't mind me, the ugly,

the ugly ones that come out of the sea.

Don't mind me.

Zac: Your family gotta
eat my crabs and seagulls.

Adam: No, my father was
a dragon turtle, okay?

Zac: Oh.

Adam: And my mother was Gaia.

Don't worry about it.

Zac: Gaia, mother Earth?

Adam: Yeah.

Okay.

All right.

We had a thing, we had a
thing one time way back when.

Zac: Okay.

Adam: Surprise, it's me.

Zac: And you're evil.

Congrats.

A

Grace: late addition to our pantheon.

Zac: Yes, a new…

Yeah, new god lore, here we go.

Adam: I am technically tortle races are
primordial races, so they supersede,

like, all other other gods that exist.

So they come from primordial
gods- … that live deep and silent,

that only appear, in a millennia

Zac: Okay.

Okay, moving

Adam: on So my father had the hots for

Gaia.

Heck

Grace: yeah.

World's bravest hero.

Your dad fucked a rock.

Let's go.

Moving right along, We're
so evil … you all set off.

Yep.

Silly me, I made you all villains, and now
you're just antagonizing me specifically.

Okay,

Adam: I thought that was the job.

Kaleb: You never said who we
were supposed to antagonize.

Just- We got

Adam: specific player directions to be
really evil, and this is what you get.

Kaleb: You are

Grace: collateral

Adam: damage.

Grace: Okay.

So you all set off, and after a few hours
of travel, as it starts to stretch into

the afternoon hours you come to a point
where from the sort of rudimentary,

maybe a map or two, the directions that
you've been given you know that you are

nearly within sight range of the town.

And from your background knowledge
of this place, you know that you are

likely to be searched as you enter.

So are there any last-minute preparations
that you would like to make as you come

to your final approach of the town?

Zac: No, actually not.

I'm good.

No.

Yeah.

Okay.

All right.

I don't have anything intimidating.

Adam: I'm gonna go, I'm
gonna go into my shell

Kaleb: You want us to
throw a blanket over you?

Zac: Interesting.

Adam: Sure.

Kaleb: Go right ahead.

Adam: Just a giant turtle shell on it.

Apologies for turtles, turtles two.

A big turtle.

I've got a great…

All right.

Grace: Yeah, so you all
approach and there is…

From what you can see, there is
just a wall that you presume that

the rest of the town is behind.

It's just a, a fairly simple but
remarkably well-crafted, carved in some

places wooden wall, maybe 10 feet high.

And a ways out, maybe a couple dozen
yards, there is a little guard station

where you can see the halfling woman.

Her wagon is there currently
undergoing its own inspection.

And as you approach, a tiefling
man approaches you, and he says,

"Hail and well met, adventurers.

I'm Ferrison.

I'll be inspecting your wagon today.

Now, if we could all just keep all calm
and organized, we'll get through this

right quick, and you can be on your way."

Wow.

"Now, going down my checklist here,
do you have any weapons with you?"

Zac: Yes, I do.

I have a battle axe.

Grace: Excellent, great.

So we'll just, Jolie, get over here.

And you see this little what looks
almost like a war forged, but a

little more rudimentary than that.

Knowing that this is an artisan town,
perhaps an early model of what would

become a war forged sort of approaches
and presents a little copper plate

about the size of a piece of paper.

And this guy Ferris, and he
goes, "Now if you just present

your item right quick, please."

Zac: I, yes.

Do

Grace: you have it cataloged?

Zac: Oh, yes.

Quick question, my, my dear fellow.

Will I be getting this back?

It does have great meaning to me.

It is part of my faith.

Grace: Yes, of course.

We will, All personal items will
be kept on you unless deemed a

direct threat to the township.

But we do keep a catalog of all
weapons and their owners for

criminal investigation purposes.

Zac: Of course.

Yes.

Here you are.

Here's my battle axe.

Grace: Excellent, thank you.

And he takes it, and this little
warforge sort of hovers this copper

plate over it, and an image of the exact
weapon appears carved into the plate.

And he flips it over and says, "If
you could just place your hand right

there, it'll just catalog your name
and general identity for our purposes."

Zac: Of course.

Here you are.

And-

Grace: All right.

Zac: I'm just gonna place

Grace: down my hand.

If you would like to somehow convince
this magical copper plate to inscribe

a false name, you may roll deception.

The DC is 18.

Zac: Oh, fuck.

Okay.

And do we know if, do we know if anything
bad happens if I do not meet this 18?

Is

Grace: this-

Zac: We'll find out Your full legal
name will appear on this copper plate.

Oh.

This is it just knows who I am.

Yeah.

Okay.

I got a better idea.

Good.

Okay.

Because this is only cataloging like
people and their weapons, right?

Okay.

Is it just knowing me by the name?

It doesn't pull up my race
and all that other shit?

This is a genuine question.

Would I know this?

You

Grace: can ask

Adam: Yes, I d- I do have a

Zac: question for you, my dear fellow.

Grace: Oh, sure.

Go for it.

Zac: Yes.

It is in my knowledge that
under these trying times, the

deviants of Malachar are hunting,
unfortunately, the gods in hiding.

My god,

he is one of those poor gods
in, in hiding as of now.

I'm wary to present myself.

I, as I am a direct disciple of
I'm a disciple of Dagon, and I

cannot have my identity exposed.

The deviants do tend to find
these things out quite easily.

Is there any other thing I can do here?

I do not mind presenting my weapon.

I'm, I am not comfortable
with presenting myself

Grace: Oh sure.

I suppose if you can get us some
documentation with your name otherwise.

We do have to have some sort of
name on file, and we can mark down

just a general physical description.

But, Oh … we do have to have
some sort of information so that-

Oh … if this weapon were to be used
in some sort of criminal activity,

that it could be traced back to you.

Zac: Yes.

Yes.

No I will even give you an alias.

It is no worry, but I can prove
I am a disciple of Dagon, god

of the deep and knowledge.

I have one of his creatures with me.

It is a pet of mine.

Adam: And I'm going to go
grab our dear tortle friend,

… Zac: And bring him

as evidence that I am a disciple of Dagon.

Skyy: I'm dying.

Grace: Okay.

So I guess the question is, Adam,
do you emerge from your shell to

help with this, or are you staying
put and hoping for the best?

Oh,

Adam: this is- Oh, I I pop out my head
in the back of the wagon as he's saying

this, and "You shall do no such thing."

Oh,

you can- "You are on your own."

Zac: Oh, no, listen, it is a…

He is a pesky critter.

He is- … he's primordial beings.

They, his father fucked a rock.

They do not like to be comrades.

In most chances, I d- did capture
him right off the coast of Tideswell.

It's not been very friendly to
me, but he is a pet of mine, and

a beautiful creature of Dagon.

Grace: All right.

I believe you, Sam I, I just can I

Adam: just make a, a, make a
performance of just like hissing and

snapping in the inside of the wagon?

Grace: Roll a performance check.

Adam: Jesus Christ.

I'm gonna be like…

I'm

gonna look at…

I'm gonna whisper like, "You owe me one."

I'm neither a pet.

I'm a human

14 plus 15

Grace: Okay.

That is a natural 19 insight check.

So I rescind my earlier statement
and he goes, "Now sir, I don't

mean to assume, but I do happen
to know a couple of turtles and

he bears a striking resemblance.

That seems like a fully
sentient man right there.

Are you certain pet is
what we're going with?"

Zac: Yes.

It, okay.

He's also a disciple.

What do you want me to say?

We are trying to get around- Do

Grace: you really just need any piece
of documentation with your name on it?

Zac: Fine.

Have

Adam: you bought a fake ID before?

Zac: Can you go to the bar?

Let me grab my birth certificate.

I'll be right back.

I'm gonna literally walk to the back
of the fucking wagon and I'm gonna just

scribble Melon Collie III on a piece
of paper, and I'm gonna look at the

tortoise and I'm gonna say, "Sign your…

Sign.

S- Forge a name.

Forge a name right now."

I'm just gonna look at him.

"Forge, forge a

name right now.

I need you to do this for me, please.

Right now."

Adam: Literally scribble his writing and
you look at it and it's Melon Collie and

Grace: Donatello.

Incredible.

Okay, so you are presenting this
straight up just piece of paper

with your names written on it?

Sorry, names written

Zac: on it.

No.

I'm going to-

Adam: Yeah.

Zac: In these provisions, do we
have anything that would bear

resemblance to a seal at all?

Like an ink seal or a wax
seal, anything of the sort.

Adam: Let me see what I got.

Hang on.

Let me see what I got.

Grace: I think perhaps a scribe's pack
might have, or something to that nature.

Or we can put it up to luck and
just roll a D20 and we'll say 15

or higher you just happen to have
some sort of official looking seal.

Adam: Yeah, all I got is smith's tools.

Zac: Okay.

Guess we're doing luck of the roll here.

If not, I'm presenting this paper.

Do our vampire friends have any ideas?

Adam: They have mind control
abilities or something.

Zac: Yeah.

Kaleb: Hard to imagine.

I wish.

Zac: Vampire

Kaleb: shit.

I've got char- I've got charm person.

Don't know how well that's
gonna do for us, but-

Zac: You could go
invisible- I'm down for it

and they would never
know something happened.

I'm just saying.

Okay, here we go.

Go for the roll.

Go for the roll.

Adam: Or just

Kaleb: kill

Grace: them.

Adam: Just go for the roll.

Zac: That's not gonna happen.

Grace: You do

Zac: not have a

Grace: seal.

Zac: I do not have a
seal, but I will do this.

In my best ability, I will prick
my finger with the edge of the

battle axe blade, and I will put
a bloodied fingerprint on the page

Grace: Okay.

Interesting strategy

But sure, I'll respect it, great.

So you go back to our good pal Ferrison
and present this piece of paper.

Are you gonna try to explain
it at all or just here you go?

Zac: Nope.

This is what I'm gonna say.

Just write

Adam: him.

Zac: Disciples of Dagon are
often given aliases at a young

age when we enter the ministry.

It is utmost secrecy, and with
respect I ask you, do not permit

anyone to see this document, as the
Grand Meister of Dagon's temple in

Tideswell had given me this paper.

And I'm gonna hand it to him.

He's a barbarian.

He's not intelligent, he's just wise.

That's about it.

Adam: No.

That's what it means to be wise.

He's that wise.

Zac: Yes.

Yeah, he's fucking wise.

He's not smart.

All right.

Let's see what

Grace: happens All right.

Yeah.

I guess in the interest of getting
you past the first obstacle of this

little arc he takes it and says,

"All right we'll keep it on file,
julie, if you wouldn't mind."

And then the warforged takes out a
little a little steel stylus almost,

pencil and rather than arcanely scanning
you, takes a quick sketch on the the

little copper plate that he has, and
gets just your general appearance.

It's very crude, but it is enough
to, at the very least, identify you

a little bit, and then just puts
name redacted, and puts a little star

next to it that you insight probably
means w- k- keep an eye on this guy.

Zac: Fair enough.

I can live with that.

All right.

And I'm gonna waltz on through
and I'm gonna look back and l-

look at everybody else as…

I'm assuming nobody else can see me
turn around because it's just- … this

little gatekeeper and his warforged?

Grace: No, there are a
handful of other guards.

Oh.

There's like a whole checkpoint,
and there are also some- Oh, okay.

Okay.

That's all … currently inspecting
your halfling buddy's cart as

well, which is ahead of you.

Zac: Oh.

Okay, and I'm gonna go, I'm just gonna
walk past that cart, and I'm assuming

I see my halfling buddy, right?

Grace: She is not

Zac: happy to see you.

That's fine.

I'm gonna put a friend arm up and
lightly grab her shoulder and say,

"Old friend, it's good to see you here.

I hope your travels were uncumbersome."

Grace: He's visibly very uncomfortable.

Not very deceptive this one.

And she's just "Yes.

Hello again.

So lovely to see you.

Now if you don't mind, I have
some business to attend to."

Zac: Yes, of course.

Of course, my friend.

A disciple of Dagon is
a friend to anybody.

And I'm just gonna keep on walking.

Grace: Looks at you very confused.

But you are…

So you can't really just
waltz into the town.

Oh, yes.

Whatever.

You will be further questioned of,
you know- … what you're doing

there and, you know- … what your
plans are for being in the town.

Given that this is, semi Cold
War equivalent they're a little

bit more cautious than to
just let you waltz through.

Of course.

So but if you are taking the lead,
you will be at the brunt of further

questioning unless anyone else
wants to jump in and engage here.

We also will, of course, have to-
You're doing a great job … potentially

register the rest of your weapons.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Adam: Who, who's the smartest one?

Get your ass up here.

Yeah.

Kel's gonna walk right up and just, and

hand over his weapons to you.

Hang back.

Hang back, yeah, let him
fumble over his own misery.

You got it.

He can do it.

Grace: Fuck.

While he's doing whatever he's doing-
And he's very creative … we can

process the rest of you real quick.

Barrison sort of looks over- … is
he's not gonna get very far.

What about the rest of you?

Any more weapons to declare?"

Kaleb: And then Kel's just
gonna walk over with his glaive

and just say, "There you go.

No, no muss, no fuss,
like mom always said."

Grace: Great.

And this little warforged-ish guy
Jelly, takes a little scan of it

and then says, "If you would please
place your hand on the plate."

Kaleb: Oh, that was good.

And then…

I'm so sorry.

Remind me what roll it
was for the deceiving?

That was also a phenomenal voice.

That was

Zac: a fantastic

Kaleb: voice.

Itched a part of my

Skyy: brain

Grace: that like…

Kaleb: Yeah, that made my
brain- That was so fucking good,

dude … that made my brain tingle.

Zac: That was awesome.

Grace: Yeah, it is deception to
try and inscribe a false name.

Kaleb: I'll say eight.

I'm so tempted

Do it That's an 18

right

there

No, but you just need a 10.

Yeah, no,

Grace: I'm-

Kaleb: Come on.

Yeah, no, I'm absolutely- You're gonna get
the 18 … I'm gonna absolutely get it.

And it's just me giving
them a, a false name, right?

Grace: More or less.

You're also trying to fool the mild
arcane enchantment that is on- Okay

this little copper plate
that is a magical record.

So it is also somewhat
scanning you a little bit.

So you do give a name but it
is also dis- trying to discern

a truthful name from you.

So that is the deception check.

Kaleb: Okay, cool.

No, I'm absolutely gonna roll

That is a

22.

Yeah yeah, so I- What

Grace: name would you like it to record?

Kaleb: Taffy Legstorn.

T-A-F-F-Y L-E-G-storn.

And then p- Kel puts his hand up and
says, "Oh yeah, no, it's Taffy Legstorn."

Grace: All right, yeah.

You place your hand onto the copper
plate, and sure enough, a, again,

a, a slightly crude sketch this time
just appears as you place your hand.

And beneath it is the name that you give.

And the little buddy goes,
"Thank you for your cooperation."

Adam: That's so good.

So exciting.

That's awesome.

Kaleb: So good.

Yeah, no, he's just gonna, he's … And
he's just gonna kinda do that and then

walk, con- continue walking forward.

Grace: Anyone else?

This is-

Skyy: I-

… Grace: quite important, so please comply.

Skyy: I will set my
long sword on the plate.

First, as he was as my brother was
doing this, I would have liked to

have drank one of my mutant gens, so
I have advantage on charisma checks.

Grace: Okay.

Skyy: And now I will put my sword on,
and I would like to also roll deception.

With advantage, because
I only have a plus one.

My brother is the face of things.

That's not good.

A

Adam: beautiful face.

Skyy: That's not good either.

That'll be a, a whopping,
stunningly beautiful 12.

Grace: Okay.

What name is it that you are
attempting to give in this?

Skyy: My name is Inario.

Last name's nondescript.

Kaleb: Oh, you're cutting out, Grace Yeah.

Skyy: I know.

Oh.

I think this means I just
get to go through it, right?

Adam: Everybody run.

Everybody run.

Run

nerds.

Grace: All the NPCs fall unconscious.

Adam: Damn, the server went down.

Grace: But as you- Didn't purchase the
expansion pack … proudly announce

your false name in this moment, you
place your hand on the copper plate,

and your full name, Malora Malora
Nostrolos, appears on the plate

underneath an inscription of your face.

And the warforge goes,
"Ah, deception detected."

As it goes, "Ah that's not great.

Okay, let's go ahead and bring
those other two back for a second."

The other two walk forward, herd
it back, and then, "All right.

We've got a bit of a problem.

Skyy: Gonna be honest, this
doesn't happen very often.

Grace: How do we wanna
go about this, guys?

I I would really implore you
to be honest with me here.

I'm trying to not be violent in this
moment, though I must say I'm very tempted

as I've been repeatedly lied to today.

You have, bit of a, bit of an ear for it.

So let's just get the
record straight, all right?

Who are you and why are you in my town?

Skyy: Would you just accept
an apology and move on?

Grace: No.

Skyy: All right.

Brother, I can't do this.

Okay … you're the most
talky person out of here, so-

Kaleb: You're gonna have to forgive her.

She she is not the, shall I say, the
brightest bulb in the box, and she tends

to ramble a little bit when she's nervous.

What say we just forget all this happened,
and you just let bygones be bygones?

Take whatever name she
gives you and let it be

Grace: So that's not
really how this works.

So I'm gonna give you about 10 seconds
to give me a really good reason why I

should listen to you and let you into
my town at all, or I'm gonna have to

call my friends over here and we're
gonna have a slightly more intense

discussion that will probably end with
you never stepping foot in Lacefield

Kaleb: I'm

Adam: gonna- Our turtle

Zac: friend doesn't have anything to say?

Just chilling?

Kaleb: He's

Zac: done- Are you doing this for
Malakar or what's your goal here, Adam?

We're supposed to be doing this, right?

Adam: My, my, my goal right now is to get
into the town, and y'all are not complying

with just trying to get into the town.

Zac: Fine.

Fine.

I'll look…

I-- You know what?

Fuck it.

We got nothing else.

I'm gonna go and I'm gonna say,
what's this guy's name, the guard?

Grace: Ferrrison.

Harrison?

Zac: Garrison?

Ferrrison.

Harrison.

With an

Grace: F.

Kaleb: Ferrrison.

Out of curiosity, were you going to do
something past the point of no return?

'Cause I could- No

cast on first.

Zac: No.

Kaleb: Okay, good

… Zac: I was just gonna straight up tell
him who I was and stop lying about it

and say, "You got a fucking problem?

Let's-- We can solve it."

But I'm gonna say-

Kaleb: Let's do that.

If that goes south, then we at
least have a plan, a backup plan.

Zac: Okay.

Kaleb: That's a good backup plan.

Zac: Yep.

And I'll tell him exactly what I'm doing
here is that we are here because we know

there's medicinal roots that Malakar's
forces need, which that's a lie, but

that sounds way more realistic than

Adam: all this other bullshit.

So I'm gonna go up

Zac: to Ferrrison and I'm
gonna say, "All right, fine.

I'm not a disciple of Dagon
and neither are my allies.

I will tell you exactly
who I am and why I am here.

We are not here to cause trouble.

We are here for one
thing and one thing only.

We know the medicinal properties are
quite good at healing here in Lacefield,

and our Lord Malakar wants them.

We wish you no harm."

And then I'm gonna unclick my
mask and just show him who I am

Kaleb: Okay.

Let's call this an intimidation check

Zac: That is a 23

Kaleb: Damn.

That's-

Grace: Okay.

Okay

He gets very quiet for a second, and you
can see him weighing his options here.

And eventually he goes

All right.

All right.

I'm gonna be honest, you're giving
me a little bit of a hard call here.

Here's what we're gonna do.

You're gonna get in and get
out, and there'll be no trouble

I'll let you in, assuming
that you will hurt no one.

Please

Yep.

All right.

I do what I do for the
safety of this town.

I do what I do for the
safety of this town.

Yeah.

All right.

Wonderful.

Jolly, go ahead and we're
gonna need those slates wiped.

And Jolly goes,

" Skyy: Please confirm

Adam: you wish to destroy these records."

Grace: And he goes, "Yep."

Zac: I love this shit.

Yep.

That is so good.

Adam: That, that's so good

Grace: And I'm gonna go and
draft my resignation, I think.

But yeah.

All right

Zac: We appreciate you, Farison.

I can swear you to this, Lord Malachi will
be aware of your helping in the matter.

Like I said, I assume the
discretion of our being here will

be aptly taken care of, correct?

Grace: As long as you can give
me your personal guarantee that

you'll harm no one in this town

Zac: I shall not lift my blade against
a single soul who wishes me no harm.

That I can guarantee

Grace: Now real question
here, are you being truthful?

Because you have- Ah, yeah,
no, in that- … already harmed

someone who meant you no harm.

No, correct.

That's

Zac: true.

I am being truthful in that statement.

This is above the table,
this is not player knowledge.

I did tell him, "I'm not gonna
raise my blade against anybody

who's not going to do me harm."

That doesn't mean I will raise
fists or I'll kick the shit out

of somebody or I'll break their
fucking arm or snap their neck.

I just told him I wouldn't raise my blade.

And also I said to people
not wanting to do me harm.

So if someone attacks me, I'm killing them
because that's not breaking that truth.

So it's a white lie better-
It's true … better more so

than a- … falsified truth.

Adam: Using technicalities.

Zac: Technicality.

Grace: All right.

With a nat 20 insight check, Abel say

Against my better judgment,
I'm inclined to believe you

Have a nice day, sir."

And just backs off and sort of
whistles to his companions down the

road and says, "Let this one through.

Official permission.

You're on."

Zac: Oh, thank you, Farason.

I think you all

Grace: are ushered through
the walls and into Lacefield.

And I, somewhere around here-

Not in bed … have an
image of what you…

just the town, really.

Let's see.

Please work.

Please work.

No, it's not going to work.

We're not

going to see a cat

Zac: walk into the room.

All right.

Turn yourself into a cat

Grace: Ch-ch-ch-choo.

Zac: Grace, I'm not gonna lie, I was
shitting my pants- Walking … the

entire time you were questioning us.

Grace: Good.

That could've potentially been
a very high stakes moment.

Zac: Oh.

Oh no, my phone.

Where did it fall?

Off the ca- oh, okay.

Grace: Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

We've got…

There it goes.

If you all would direct your attention
to the chat, field as you find it-

Yes … on this lovely fall day.

There's a big

Zac: black orb that was
not in the original map.

Grace: It is a big- Orb … black,

Adam: Orb … dome,

Grace: in fact.

Adam: It worked, Charlie.

Zac: You said what, Grace?

I'm sorry, it cut out just a little bit.

Grace: It is a dome more so than an orb.

Zac: Oh, okay.

Grace: And you also it was hard to tell
discern between the guard checkpoint and

what as you approach the gates of this
town, which is a small little tent city

that has formed outside the gate here.

Seems that there is a good 200 or so.

No.

100?

200?

I forget.

A decent number of people that have
made their residence, About 100.

I was right the first time.

Anyway that have made their
residence right outside this town

And this is not something that
you were informed of previously?

Kaleb: So we walked through all of this
up to the gate, like the guardhouse

Grace: Yeah.

So the guard checkpoint was set a little
just before this little tent city,

and you are now walking through it.

Got it.

Let's do the gate.

Kaleb: Oh, okay.

Cool

Grace: so yeah, you are able to- Really

Adam: know that

… Grace: enter the town if you
so choose at this moment.

Seems to be

Adam: just- That's it.

Grace: Yeah.

Standard villagers that are
inhabiting this whole area.

So yeah, pass through, no problem.

You find yourselves in Lacefield.

What would you like to do?

Zac: I wanna find my halfling buddy

Morathas.

Grace: Oh.

Okay.

She entered as you were having this
little confrontation with Farrison.

And you see her wagon sort of trundling
down this central road up to a building

that is marked as The Exchange.

Adam: All right.

Grace: It's a large almost looks
like a warehouse from- the front but

with two of the sides are more open.

And you can see a number of stalls,
and it appears that merchants

have taken over this space, and
that is where she just headed.

Awesome.

Zac: Cool.

I'll just follow her, and
we'll see what they do

Kaleb: Okay.

The rest of you?

I'm gonna, I'm gonna go see if we can…

i'm gonna try to find like an inn
or something to find some lodging,

'cause I'm assuming there's gotta be
somewhere that like newcomers can come

to like sleep, if they haven't already
built a house or anything like that.

So that would be where I would wanna go.

Grace: Yes, there is a guest
house that you can find.

Are you just going to check it out, or
are you going to go ahead and secure

lodgings, or what is the plan here?

Yeah,

Kaleb: My your b- your boy's not about
to sleep outside, so- … absolutely

gonna get lodging for, if
nothing else, him and his sister.

But the goal would be to get
rooms secured for everybody.

Grace: Yeah, for sure.

You find a guest house.

It doesn't have much of a fancy name
to it, but it is connected to the town

tavern, which is called The Final Draught.

Adam: Oh,

Grace: that's really good.

We love that.

That's so good.

I was proud of that one.

That's a good

Adam: one.

Grace: The guest house offers,
It's got about 20 rooms.

They are hostel style so they
can fit about 10 people each.

At this moment, there is not a ton of
people there so you can easily procue-

procure one room for your whole gang
and just have a couple extra beds.

Kaleb: Yeah, let's,

Grace: And it is-

… Kaleb: that's absolutely
what Kel's gonna do.

Grace: It is two silver a
day per bed so for per person

essentially, or one gold for a week

Kaleb: Yeah.

Kael's just gonna slap down the gold.

Actually, he's gonna slap down two
gold and g- give it to the innkeeper

and say, "For your troubles."

Grace: Oh thank you, sir.

And you are yeah, handed
the key to a room.

Yeah, it's got five bunks of
so 10 beds total and it is all,

it is free for you guys to use.

Great.

And you also are given- So I think-
… four meal tokens that will get you

each two meals per day at The Final
Draft, included in the room rate.

Kaleb: That's pretty cool.

Okay.

Grace: That

Kaleb: is I'm here for this.

Grace: It's a very isolated town.

They are very intentional of how
they use their resources, so yeah.

It is easier for them to provide for you
a set amount than for you to do whatever,

Kaleb: and for yourself.

Kel is gonna, talk to, go to the bar
and talk to the barkeep, see if he

can get some information if there's
nothing anybo- anybody else wants to do

I'm chill

Yeah, I don't know if the boy wanted
to in- i- investigate anything.

Adam: He does, but you can go ahead.

Kaleb: Okay, cool.

Yeah, so he's gonna go down
to the bar and try to just at

least get a lay of the land.

Grace: Okay.

Yeah.

So you see it is currently the middle of
the day so there's maybe just a handful

of people, like five tops, and a wiry
human man with spectacles perched on his

nose who is currently covering the bar.

So you may go and ask for whatever
information you're looking for.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Kell is gonna walk up and just say I'm
not gonna lie that whatever you got

behind that bar is a sight for sore eyes.

I am mighty parched.

What's it gonna run me to get a drink?"

Grace: Oh, sir it is it
depends on what you're wanting.

Basically it is, one copper for a very
base ale, and then escalating from there.

I'm gonna be super honest with you guys,
I know absolutely nothing about alcohol.

Name what you want, and
we'll just estimate a price.

All right.

I,

Kaleb: I don't need, I
don't need nothing fancy.

Simple man, simple taste for a simple man.

Just give me your sto-
your run-of-the-mill ale.

That'll co- That'll do me good.

Grace: All right, yeah.

You get your locally brewed
ale for just one copper.

It's just a-

Kaleb: Okay

… Grace: thick wooden mug that
yeah, it is it's hearty.

We'll go with that.

Kaleb: Hearty, I love it.

He's gonna take that, gonna
take a sip and go, "Oh, man.

Good for the soul, I'll tell you."

Now, but you'd pardon my question,
where might a man find some

jewelers, some craftspeople?

I…

Cutting a long story short, family
friend of my my ma and pa made their

wedding bands, and, I found my, myself
over in this area, and I fig- I figure

Craft Village has gotta have at least
some famous craftspeople, and just

looking for a name specifically.

Morvale?

She…

That, that's the name
my my, my pa gave me.

I don't know if you know any,
anybody by that name around here.

Grace: Oh, Morvale, certainly.

She takes up res- resident shopper
both within the metals district.

There's quite a number of jewelers
in that sort of area, exactly.

They try to keep things well organized.

And yes, if you sort of head, And he
gives you rough directions, out down

the main road, about 20 yards, take a
left, take a right, that sort of thing.

Yeah, gives you some pretty sound
directions to at least the general area.

He's not super familiar with her shop
specifically, but seems that within that

district it should be pretty easy to find.

Kaleb: Yeah.

So he's he's gonna down his drink
and say won't be the last time you

see me for one of these bad boys."

And he's gonna set the mug down
on the bar and walk out and go

try to find the rest of the group.

Go find his sister.

Yeah, there you go

Yeah.

What are the rest of you doing?

Adam, Sky, Zach, how's it going

Adam: You can go ahead, Anna

… Kaleb: have free reign for the time being.

Adam: All right.

Haven is going to get out
of the wagon at the inn.

So tortles are a rare sight
to see, so he keeps to himself

as much as he can internally.

He is going to seek out a temple.

And I guess he's just gonna
walk around town till he

finds a, a temple in the area.

Okay.

Yeah, if anything happens between
now and then, that's fine too.

Would

Kaleb: it make it easier if he was
disguised as something else to walk

around and talk to people, Adam?

No, I'd just, I'd

Adam: just walk around as a tortle.

Kaleb: He can cast disguise self, so

Adam: that's why I was asking.

Oh, no, it's all good.

It's all good.

I'm, he's a proud tortle.

Kaleb: Okay,

Adam: cool.

Kaleb: But sure.

Grace: All right, yeah.

Go ahead and roll either perception
or investigation, whichever you're

better at, and then we'll determine
how exactly you go about it.

Adam: Sure.

It's a

14 close.

Where's perception?

Five, 19.

Grace: Okay.

So with perception, you just
do a general scan of the town.

You're wa- wandering a bit, and
curiously you don't see really

any sign of any sort of temple.

Adam: Okay, cool.

Interesting.

Grace: But you can ask around, … or,
Yeah, I guess just ask around.

Adam: Sure.

I will I will generally walk into one
of the shops on main, on the main line.

I'm just looking at the map.

Main line and walk in and greet.

I don't know what kind of shop would-
it would be though, so you just tell me.

I would greet the shopkeeper there.

What

Grace: It is a tailor's shop.

A

Adam: tailor shop, okay.

I'll walk in and I'll greet the
shopkeeper there and be like,

Grace: Yeah, a- met, … a male
high elf who's in, of course, very

fine clothing and is surrounded
by fine clothing, in fact.

Adam: Yeah.

Grace: And he's like, "Oh, yes,
how may I help you, child?"

Adam: Met sir.

Mind you do look quite fabulous today.

And that is an 18, Thank you … per-
persuasion there, 'cause I

don't think he looks very fine.

But that's a 18 plus five, 23.

Okay.

Grace: He's very fine.

Adam: Of course.

" Grace: Yes I made it myself, of course.

You'll notice this is fine button work.

I got them from a silversmith
just down the road.

It's, And I'm quite proud.

They're very sturdy, and you'll
notice I actually have several rows

of buttons that I can choose how
many I wish to display in this jacket

based on how I decide to button it.

It's, oh, it's one of
my best creations yet."

" Adam: Oh certainly, sir.

It definitely piques my interest.

I, "Would you like

Grace: your

Adam: own?"

"I don't know if you could fit me.

I'm pretty, I take up a lot of garment,
is what the folks say around here.

But I am looking for a
peculiar item myself.

I'm looking for a a wonderful
ascot if you have one around a

a 20, a 23 neckline for myself."

Indeed."

"If you have something that
will pique your interest there.

And if it's in aquamarine,
that would be preferable."

Grace: Google what an ascot is real quick.

Kaleb: You ever seen Scooby-Doo?

It's what- It's what Fred
wears around his neck.

Grace: Oh yes.

Yeah.

He goes and pulls out a full scarf.

Just like a, a long winter scarf.

Yes, with some slight
modifications we could…

yes indeed.

Twenty-three you say?

Yes, I suppose if we just tie that…

D-do you mind if I experiment
a bit on your person?

Oh,

Adam: certainly.

Go right ahead, sir.

Go right ahead.

Touch me wherever you please.

Grace: Oh, mind if I do?

And he just drapes it around you
and begins tying and pinning and

just yes, perhaps up top there.

Oh, we really have done
something spectacular here."

And he turns a little handheld mirror
on you and, "What do you think, sir?"

And you see a, a lovely sort of blue silk
with just almost a faint, It seems that

stripes have been woven in, but in the
same color, just in a slightly different

sheen, so it's this very subtle pattern.

It's very stately.

It's lovely.

The color suits you very well.

He says, "What do you think?"

Adam: I think you've outdone
yourself once more, good sir.

I think you really bring out my
eyes in this in this blue and

aquamarine scarf that you got here.

I thank you very much.

And how much would I owe you
good sir, for your kind time?

Grace: Oh, for this?

The material itself is
a bit on the older side.

I hope two weeks, if you'll believe it.

Let's, let's- Some

Adam: fast

Grace: fashion you

Adam: got around here.

Grace: Oh, but of course.

I usually only work by commission,
so today things just come and go.

You'll find that a very common
business practice around these parts.

But let's say two silver for material and
an additional two for the consultation.

Adam: Okay.

I certainly can provide you with that.

How about if you work on commission
by chance could I pay you in advance

and you can work on some specific
clothing items that I would need?

Grace: I would be delighted.

It has been some time since I've seen
such a unique commission subject.

Adam: Sure.

Let's start the commission off with
20 silver pieces for right now.

I can pay- Oh my, we could do quite a bit
with that … I can pay a little more.

I do require some s- specific diameters
as, as you can s- tell for yourself here.

And on top of that, I was curious I being
a cleric of myself does this town worship

any any temples that I may go pray to?

Grace: Oh there's not much activity
in the temple department anymore

ever since the old dome over
there covered over the old one.

We did have quite a pleasant priest
for some time, but he was replaced,

oh, a year and a half ago now.

And honestly, our new priestess, she's
not done much for the community at all.

She seems to have her own thing going on.

It's really quite a bother.

Can't get anything done these days.

Not that I went and prayed very
much, but it's the thought.

We still honor the old
gods every now and again.

Adam: Interesting.

Yeah we were traveling in from
Tideswell, and I saw the black dome.

What, I haven't seen one of
those in my travels before.

Is that something new from Malachar
itself, or is there just some

Grace: shrine- Oh, Malachar.

No.

The priestess herself commissioned
that from the stonemasons.

Yes it's, it covers over the old
temple, I personally have no interest

in that whole nasty cult business.

But it is quite fascinating, I must say.

I've got…

Supposedly, you can just walk in.

Oh, they are a bit picky about who
goes in, but I do think I could

get in if I played my cards right.

I am a bit curious, though I
don't have much time in the

day for it anymore, I'm afraid.

Adam: I think I would suggest,
and I probably could suggest, if

you commission me a nice piece of
wardrobe, I could probably approach

them and get you to be their sole
tailor of their temple garments.

Grace: Oh, that would be delightful.

They do have just the most
dreadful fashion sense.

You expect it from cultists, but
really, they don't even have a motif.

There's no sense of matching.

They all just wear
whatever they came with.

Oh, yeah.

They need to be identifying iron.

At least get some matching robes, my

Adam: goodness.

Yeah, exactly.

If you're gonna start a cult around
here, and mind you, I may know a few

things about starting some aw- cults
around here matching uniforms usually

go hand in hand with the cult itself.

Grace: It's like a
prerequisite, and yet no.

They're this new age movement instead.

It's absurd.

Adam: Yeah.

How dare they?

They just they just don't know any, any…

Me and fashion, and we know
fashion-forward pieces, so I could

probably put in a good word for you.

If you wanna ma- if you wanna match me
to what you feel like the cultists would

would wear appropriately, I would be
happy to adorn it and show it off to them

Grace: Oh, now that is an
interesting request indeed.

Oh, Oh, but I couldn't.

The priestess, she is she has some
affiliation with Pelor, so she wears a

lot of oranges and yellows and the like.

We could go with something like that.

That's the only- Yeah … main theme

Adam: I could think of.

Or about a big, what about a
big headband, like a tiara?

It doesn't go all the way around,
that would be a crown, but a

tiara halfway, and it has sun
glistening rhinestones across it

Grace: I don't really dabble
in any sort of jewelry.

You'd have to go down- Yeah.

Do you know a jeweler?

… to the metals and gems districts for that.

Yeah.

Oh, I know several jewelers.

There you go.

Oh, how lovely.

Occasionally I get them to embellish
my works with the odd accessory.

But no, I don't think
I have that right now.

I

Adam: want to say bedazzle my back.

Bedazzle my tortoise shell.

And it be- Ooh, that could be quite good
… blooming like the sons of Pelor itself.

Yeah.

See?

See, we got…

We're working on something here.

I think I might just

Grace: know of that.

Something

Adam: magical.

So I'll g- let you work
on the piece itself.

I'll come back in a day or two when
you'll have it finished, and I'll

pay you off for that commission
with a starter of 20 silver pieces.

We do…

I may be bringing some people by that
will also need some uniforms as well.

But I think we got something
good going here, good sir.

I think we have something good going here.

Grace: Oh, marvelous.

Indeed.

May I take your name, just
for my own sort of record?

Sure.

My name- I do love to catalog
everything that I make for

future reference, you understand.

Adam: Exactly.

Yeah, you can put it under Yan.

Y-A-N.

Grace: Yan.

Oh, magnificent name, sir.

I suppose if that is all you need
from me, I shall get to work.

Adam: Awesome.

And thank you very much for the ascot.

I appreciate it greatly.

Grace: Oh, no problem at all, sir.

In fact, it was a delight.

Now I really must get to work right

Adam: away.

Will do.

Ta-ta for now.

Ta-ta.

And, Oh,

Grace: indeed.

Adam: And he'll walk out back on the
main street itself with a new ascot.

Grace: Excellent.

Excellent.

Skye, we can check in with you real quick.

Skyy: I'm gonna go with my
brother when he comes back out.

So if, Ah.

Yeah, if…

Yeah.

I can wait, if Zach wants to go first.

Grace: Okay, yeah.

Pivot to that.

Zac: Cool.

Grace: What are you up to, Zach?

Zac: Have a call to go with
my little halfling friend

Grace: Yes, our halfling friend.

Yeah, she she enters this large
building, The Exchange and as far as

you can tell, just proceeds to there's
an empty stall that's been marked off.

There's several, but she approaches
one in particular and seems to just

be setting up her wares getting
ready to start making sales.

Zac: Wonderful.

I'm gonna walk up to her, and I'm
assuming she's- Okay … already

getting things out and probably setting
up her stall, so she's not really

paying attention to who walks up.

I'm gonna say- … "Ah, my dear friend
it looks like I am your first customer."

Grace: Oh my Lord, you
told me to just be normal.

Can you leave me alone to be normal

for just a second?

Now listen, look, five- Oh, I'm
gonna- Five seconds … I'm gonna,

I'm gonna have a panic attack.

Just, just- Okay

… Zac: hear me out real quick.

Just five seconds here.

I feel like this would benefit you.

There's a big dome.

I need to know about the dome.

I need to know what is going on in the
dome and who is controlling the dome.

I need you to figure out
what the hell this dome is.

That is all.

I will be back to gather
information later.

Remember, be discreet.

Okay.

And I'm

Adam: gonna toss her 20 gold and just walk

Zac: off.

It's just it's like, boom, it's
like a hit and run, almost like

when he cut it, her arm off.

It's just so much happens
in so little time.

So 20 gold, that's a fat fucking amount.

And ye gold tell her to do that, walk off,
and then I'm gonna try to find a smith,

and then we can go back to Caleb and Sky.

I'm tormenting this little halfling.

Dude, that's

Kaleb: so

Zac: wrong.

I feel bad, but she's- Oh,
my God … paid 20 gold.

That's probably two weeks worth for her.

Oh.

Grace: Yeah.

I

Kaleb: do not feel

Grace: bad for

Kaleb: that

Grace: halfling.

This is a sizable sum of money.

But yeah, Caleb and Sky, what
are you two getting up to?

Kaleb: 20 gold, a hand.

Grace: I still have

Kaleb: her hand up here.

Yeah, Kel…

Correct.

Every, every once in a while you just
walk by and just flash, fl- open your

jacket, it's just a hand in there.

Wave, I

Zac: wave it at her.

Skyy: Like the scene

Adam: in Toy Story.

Kaleb: Just

Adam: give

Zac: me your- Hi, my

Adam: name is Santa.

This is shit.

Zac: Yeah.

Okay.

Okay, sorry.

Kaleb: Got video

Zac: of the story.

Sorry, guys.

Kaleb: No.

Yeah, Kel is gonna walk out,
walk out a tavern see Mal.

I'm assuming she's sitting by
the cart just kinda hanging out.

Skyy: Yeah, I'm like leaned against
the cart, just kind of shoulders,

arms crossed, just chilling, moody.

Kaleb: He's gonna walk up and just be
like, "W- Sister, Lord, I love you.

Can you look a little more hospitable?"

Skyy: Listen-

" Kaleb: You are…

I don't…

I under-" And he gets
close very concerned.

He's like, "Listen, I understand.

We are-" "… not the
great- the best people.

We need to-" Yeah "… look,
warm and welcoming."

"As hard as it is for you.

God, I love you, but you've
gotta work with me, please."

Skyy: And she gives you…

She tries to smile, but it's like
one of those you should never

smile 'cause it's not that good.

Oh, God.

That's

Kaleb: so much-

Skyy: It's even scarier

… Kaleb: that's so much worse.

Put it away, please.

Skyy: Listen

… Kaleb: he's gonna say, "Now-" I, there's
a spec- specific jeweler I've gotta find.

Skyy: Yeah

… Kaleb: she's got something
that the big M wants, and-

… We gotta get it from her.

So-

Skyy: Let's do it.

Kaleb: All right.

I, T- I love your this,
the ask no questions-

'cause there ain't gonna
be no damn answers.

Skyy: It, yeah, exactly.

Hit first, ask later, it just solves
so many more problems, so it's fine.

Let's do this.

I love

Kaleb: it.

All right.

Yeah, so we're we're gonna make our
way over to the you said like the

craft section of the settlement.

It's all craft-

and we're looking for this
Meraviel … but they've sort

of organized

Grace: themselves

Kaleb: by- Yeah, like the
metalworking- … like jewelers.

Grace: Yes.

Kaleb: Yeah.

So we're gonna look for
this, is it Meraviel?

Mera- how do you pronounce her name again?

Grace: Meraviel.

Meraviel … it depends on the dialect.

Kaleb: Oh, he's, oh, Cal is never
gonna pronounce that correctly.

Yeah.

But yeah, he's gonna go look for the
Meraviel and is gonna try to f- like

talk, talk to her, see where she's at.

So I don't know if you need me to
roll anything to find her or but

that's where we are headed off to.

Grace: Yeah, go ahead
and roll just perception.

Not a terribly high DC it's, she's
not exactly hiding, but- All right

yeah.

Kaleb: Just give me the- Can I give the

Skyy: help action?

Grace: Sure.

So advantage on that.

Kaleb: That's gonna be a 15.

Grace: 15.

Okay.

Yeah, within, I don't know,
like 10 minutes of just walking

around you very clearly see
not a very I guess brazen sign.

But there is a small sign above a little
part storefront, part just like workspace.

A lot of these things blend together
here as most of them work by commission.

But yeah, you just see emblazoned
just a simple Moravael.

It's not a name to it, it
just seems to be the craftsman

herself that is advertised here.

And there's a little s- There's a
window set into the door and there's

a little sign in it that is currently
flipped to "Closed for commission."

But it doesn't, it appears not entirely
shut out "Stay away," but there is just-

Yeah … a polite sign saying, "Oh,

Kaleb: no."

Polite sign.

As Pal is known for his politeness.

Yeah, he's gonna absolutely…

He's gonna see the sign and just
go, just kinda shrug and he's

gonna open the door and walk in.

Skyy: I will follow

Grace: Okay, yeah.

A decent little workspace lots of
tools and materials that s- some

you recognize, some you don't.

And off in a corner hunched over a
little work table is a drow woman

with just the most elaborate pair of
spectacles you've ever seen with 14

different lenses in various arrays- Oh,

Kaleb: yes

Grace: Who just looks up and
is like, "Oh, can I help you?"

Kaleb: Yes.

Are you Morivial?

Grace: I am indeed.

Kaleb: Greetings.

My na- my name's Taffy.

This is, this here is my sister.

We, I was looking to
inquire about some jewelry.

My, my mom, pa, their, it's their
anniversary is coming up, and I

wanted to get them something real
nice, and, I've been asking around.

They pointed me to you.

I just wanted to see what I
could get, what you got on

hand, what I could buy from you.

Doesn't have to be anything fancy

Grace: Yes I suppose I do have a few
just sort of base ring sort of forms

available, sort of bare minimum.

They won't be terribly elaborate.

I don't have much time in the way
of embellishing things, but I can

give you something very simple,
although I'm not sure why you would

come all the way here just for that.

Kaleb: I try to be a good son.

Me and my sister here try
to do best by our parents.

I was looking for something I'd be
willing to throw a little extra dough

in if it, you had anything a little bit
more, something with a little magic on

it, something a little more special.

I don't know what you got back there.

Grace: I suppose I'd, we'd
have to speak with the…

You- anything can be enchanted if
you speak to the Enchanters Guild.

I mostly deal in just the basic materials.

But I do have, and she goes over
and pulls out this whole drawer

of just very basic ring shapes.

Says these are not fine adamantium.

So I can engrave them, and that
will make them slightly more

receptive to any sort of enchantment
that you wish to place on it.

That does take a certain
amount of skill, not to brag.

Or I can, if you have a sketch
or a recreation of a ring that

you'd like to produce, I can do

that.

Although it

will be a bit of a wait,
as I am mid-commission."

Kaleb: Cool.

This is out of character.

Would we have any sort of symbol that
we would have on us to denote that

we are, like, followers of Malakar?

Any kind of crest or anything?

Grace: If that is something that you would
choose to carry on your person, then sure.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Okay, cool.

Yeah, She asked if we have a sketch
of anything, and he's just gonna kinda

look over his shoulder and say, "Yeah.

I was looking for something like this,"
and he's just gonna very calmly place,

it's just this little placard with
the crest of Malakar on the counter.

"Looking for something like this.

What do you think?"

Grace: Yes.

Ah.

Listen, I don't want to intrude or be
any sort of rude, but I would recommend

taking this particular request elsewhere,
particularly this town, not right now.

Kaleb: That, It's a big town … we
both know that's I hate to be rude,

we both know that's not gonna happen.

You know-

I don't need to say names.

Person I work for has taken a
particular interest to your craft.

I'll ju- I'll just lay it out.

You're gonna have to get shit to
getting while the getting's good.

He very much straightens

Grace: up at that, is like, "Oh."

Kaleb: Yeah.

I'm gonna, I'm just gonna
be real plain with you.

The big man has taken a par- like I said,
a particular interest to your skills.

You're gonna need to not be here.

I'll leave the particulars up to you,
n- not that I really particularly care,

but you're gonna need to come up with
a reason for not being here anymore,

and it's gonna need to be real fast

Grace: Okay.

Yeah, go ahead and roll me
a persuasion check, my dude.

My

Kaleb: dude.

Grace: My guy.

Kaleb: My guy.

Grace: Roll them dice.

That

Kaleb: is going to be a 12.

Ooh.

Grace: A 12.

Okay.

Kaleb: Not

Grace: good.

Ooh, yeah.

You are pretty much asking
this person to pick up their

entire livelihood and skedaddle.

She goes I can't just up and leave.

That would be preposterous.

Listen, I d- there are, I respect,
whatever your employer is up to

these days, but there are certain
things that I could just can't do.

I, there's so many that I need
to collect my materials, and,

Skyy: Mal slowly pulls out her
sword, just behi- standing behind her

brother, just slowly straight-faced.

Kaleb: He's gonna say, "I, I truly
do I mean this, I appreciate the

difficulty it would put you in.

There are ver- there's very little
that is keeping my rather intimidating

sister from absolute li- And I'll be
honest with you, I'll let her do it,

inflict every- I'll let her do it

ounce of pain that she's trained to do.

So this is less of an ask and
more of a you're gonna do it.

You're gonna leave, you're
gonna give an answer.

The, the gods only care what it
is, 'cause I sure as heck don't,

and you're gonna get out of here
if you know what's good for you."

Grace: Okay.

Yeah, let's let's try again with a
little intimidation check this time.

I will give you advantage- Oh,
God … with your sister helping you.

Okay.

And we'll lower the DC a
little bit, 'cause- Okay.

You got this.

Yikes.

Kaleb: That is going to be an

Grace: 18.

18, nice.

Yeah,

Kaleb: yeah.

Grace: She's now looking very frightened.

Very, "Oh, all right I will,
Yes, of course right away, okay."

And you can see she's just suddenly very
lost in her thoughts, making mental lists

of bring this, tell her, that kind of
thing, and just suddenly very caught up

in this okay, getting this moving now and

Kaleb: yeah.

And he very just calmly will take
his little crest back, and he

also, he will get uncomfortably
close to her and say, "And it goes

without saying, I was never here.

My sister was never here."

"I was never here."

"You do not know us."

And I would hate…

Oh b- I'm being very honest, I would hate
to find out that you betrayed my trust,

'cause let me be honest with you, as
scary as my sister is, I have things that

would give your nightmares that I can do
to you, and I am not afraid to do that.

So you…

we were never here.

Got it?

Grace: Understood.

Kaleb: Oh, it's- And he's just gonna
put his little crest back in his

pocket, and he's just gonna walk out.

Skyy: Since we have you
frightened and scared here do

you know someone named Ambrose?

Grace: I-

Zac: What a 180.

Grace: Ambrose, yes of course.

He is the Minister of Trade for Lacefield.

Skyy: Perfect.

Perfect.

Where would I find him if I,
perchance, needed to go see

him and talk something to him?

Grace: The I suppose the
town hall, Lace Hall.

He usually spends most of his time
there doing paperwork and such.

I don't know.

Skyy: Thank you.

And I'll tap her shoulder really firmly.

Have fun moving.

Good luck.

And I'm gonna leave.

Grace: Okay, great.

Kaleb: Ugh.

Grace: Yeah so Caleb- I love this so much
… you can claim your little solo mission

bonus at sundown upon her leaving town.

Hey, it's

Kaleb: fine.

I'm here for this.

That's all that matters.

Grace: And yeah, you two start to
make, I'm assuming, your way towards

the the town hall that she mentioned?

Adam: Yes.

Grace: Awesome, cool.

With that we can jump back
over to, I think Adam is right?

Yeah.

Adam: Sure, You're

Grace: gonna have a quick little

Adam: trip in

I guess as I'm walking around the
town I probably will catch sight of

them walking back from the market
and join them towards the town hall

Skyy: Sure

… Adam: with my new ascot

Skyy: It's a great ascot
It's quite scotch stylish It

Zac: is dapper as ever His best ascot.

God.

Thank you.

Adam: Thank you.

I just, I need, I thought I needed a
little pick me up after being called a pet

Skyy: That was rather rude of him.

I do apologize That was.

Yeah.

Adam: I will be no pet to anyone.

I am my own man.

Zac: Tortle.

Adam: I'm my own man tortle creature.

Half

Zac: man, half tortle.

Adam: So yeah, we'll pick up at
the town hall, unless Molrath over

there decides to quit antagonizing
the poor halfling and come join us.

Oh, it's terrible.

Grace: Yeah, I guess coming back to
that for a second I forget, where

did you say you're headed after
leaving- Blacksmith … the exchange?

Zac: Blacksmith.

Grace: Blacksmith,

Zac: weaponsmith,

Grace: blacksmith,

Zac: whatever.

Okay.

Grace: I'll leave it up to the group.

Do we wanna stick with these three or
see what he's up to at the blacksmith?

Kaleb: We can do the blacksmith.

Yeah, let's do the blacksmith.

All right,

Grace: cool.

So-

I find myself antagonizing vendors.

So Molrath heads over to curiously,
about the same district as

the other two just came from.

It seems that all of those related to
kind of metalworking have congregated.

And yeah, you find yourself surrounded
by all sorts of metalworkers, smiths,

jewelers da, yeah all, et cetera

Zac: Okay.

I'm gonna try to find the
look for a weaponsmith

Grace: Okay.

Make if you are like poking and asking
around, give me like investigation.

If you're just doing sort of
a scan, give me perception.

Zac: It's gonna be a perception

Grace: Or just whichever you're better at.

19.

Okay.

So you meander your way you're
heading towards the southern end

of the town according to the map.

And you find a, a little shop/workshop,
as many of these places are.

And it is almost the southernmost
very edge of the town where you find

them, and you see the sign overhead
that says BNN and you see a human

and funnily enough, another high
elf working here in this smithy.

It is mostly open space.

It seems that there are some sort
of interior rooms off to the side

and back behind a little bit.

And with that 19 perception there does
seem to be a bit of a inherent magical

air to this place, and it seems that
almost the, the wood itself of the

structure has been slightly bleached

Just from this, almost miasma of
like just very subtle magical energy.

Zac: Oh, good…

What, what time of day is it?

Like afternoon?

Grace: It is, we'll say
approaching like later afternoon.

Yeah, maybe 2:00,

Zac: 3:00.

Okay.

Wanna say "Good afternoon dear fellows.

I am curious of your wares."

Grace: The, yeah, a bit older, what
appears to be the head smith of this

spot sort of approaches, takes off
these big hefty work gloves and say

"Oh yeah, we it's what do you need?

We do really just everything."

Zac: Oh yes.

I am a,

discreetly, I am a, a merchant
and disciple of Dagon.

I am also a rare oddity
collector of sorts, antiquities,

oddities, magical weapons per se.

And I had a rumor from prayers
of my god of a blade that is

luckier per se than usual.

I was wondering if you
were to know of this.

I've heard rumor that it was made a
year ago, or many years ago actually.

And I was wondering if I could
perchance buy this artifact from you.

Grace: Oh that old thing, it's, i'm
afraid it's not really for sale.

But let me think now, 'cause I do
remember what you're talking about.

That was probably one
of my prized creations.

Let's see I think I gave that to
Ferrison when he was inducted as

the head of security for the town.

But I think I-- he doesn't really use it.

It's more of a…

He said it'd probably become an
heirloom of his family of sorts,

and I'd say he probably keeps it
in one of the safe boxes in town.

But you say you're a disciple.

Are you with with the pious?

I haven't seen you before.

Zac: Yes we have a pilgrimage.

In a merchant cart, we are
trying to raise funds for the

Temple of Dagon out in Tideswell.

We are facing hard times with the
reign of Malachai and are seeking

financial guidance, and I was tasked
to do so selling what oddities and

goods and commodities we do have

Grace: Oh it's if it's financial
advice or maybe a sponsorship

you're looking for, I would probably
direct you to our Minister of Trade.

That'd be good old Ambrose.

But yeah, I'm not sure
how I can help you much.

Although if you're with an external
temple, then you're not with the Pious?

Zac: No, I don't believe I

Grace: have the- 'Cause they mostly here.

Zac: Yes.

No, I have not run across the Pious yet.

I'm afraid we are not acquainted.

Grace: I think you have.

You just haven't quite realized it.

They're they're right outside,
and they're all over town.

They're constantly, buying
supplies, buying all sorts of stuff.

I personally have been in quite a number
of i-i-interfaces with their leadership.

They asked for my help
on a particular project.

Zac: Oh,

Grace: yes.

What- Starting that tomorrow, as a matter

Zac: of fact.

Oh yeah.

Yes.

Do you mind lending a, a tail for
a, a weary merchant and disciple?

Just what is it they task you
with, if you may so speak of it?

Grace: Oh, I I don't know if it's
something I should be talking about.

It seems somewhat sensitive in nature,
but you can roll a persuasion check.

Try and get him to open up a little bit.

Zac: I can.

Okay.

How much gold do…

would I tradit- we're supplied by Malakar.

I'd imagine we have a lot of gold on us.

Yeah.

Grace: A 320, I don't know where-
Probably on hand you'd probably have-

Zac: I've thrown 20 … out

Grace: 200 gold just to, kinda

Zac: cover- Okay, so we got 100 … any
bribes or anything that need

Grace: to happen on

Zac: this trip.

Yeah, that's probably what's about to
happen, but I just need to make sure.

I'm gonna look at is this the
human smith or the elf smith

Grace: that I'm talking to?

This is the elf

Zac: Ah, yes.

I do know the elves are reasonable people.

I'm curious.

My curiosity lines my pockets as well, and

Adam: I'm gonna hand

Zac: him,

Adam: 10 gold.

Zac: And kinda maybe try
to bribe that persuasion.

Grace: Go ahead and make
that check with advantage.

Zac: Ooh, yes.

Yes.

That is a good one.

Kaleb: Mr.

Moneybags over there.

Adam: That is an 18.

Grace: 18 was the number you needed.

Adam: Yay.

Grace: Yeah.

This is they were kinda vague about
what precisely it would be doing, but

it keeps getting more gravelly as I do.

But but the purpose was not so much
our focus as the design itself.

Seems good old Talaiah got a, a whole
heaping load of smiths to consult on

it, and I just got the final draft.

But he was very specific that
it needed to be able to contain

the essence of divinity.

We weren't super clear on what that
meant, but a channeling instrument,

and but it is quite the production.

We've got a couple constructs to
guard the work while we're doing it,

and yeah, hoping to knock that out
probably most of the day tomorrow.

But we've got, we got some
of the rudimentary pieces.

It's gonna be a, an orb,
a great orb that, Oh.

'Cause I've always found the sphere
to be a most incredible shape that

is quite versatile and sturdy if
given the proper reinforcements.

Zac: Yes.

You said they said to capture
divinity, to contain divinity.

Divinity, my child, obviously as
a disciple of Dagon, I can tell

you divinity cannot be contained.

It is merely withheld.

Grace: Oh it'll only be a
temporary vessel, of course.

I couldn't imagine building
something like that.

I feel that's a bit
beyond my skill set to-

Zac: Yes.

No,

Grace: my child … divine
help myself to do it.

Zac: Yes.

Do you believe in any divinity?

Who is your god?

Grace: Oh, not personally.

There's no specific god
of craft or anything.

If there were, maybe I'd give it a shot.

But it's just sorta generally, I trust
the gods all right, but eh, never

taken too much of an interest in that.

Just-

Zac: Oh

… Grace: happen to have the right skills

Zac: for this

Grace: particular endeavor, it seems.

Zac: No.

And I do, I commend your talent, but
you do not take interest in the gods.

Don't you know it is the utmost cardinal
sin to try to contain divinity, for the

essence of gods is- Meant to be free will.

And you are now being

Grace: controlled Oh I don't
worry about that too much.

I just, I'm doing what I'm told and-

Zac: Yes

… Grace: quite frankly, the eyes will be
taking most of the brunt of whatever

sort of divine side effects we see.

They've got a nice
little safety net set up.

Zac: Oh,

Grace: that's wonderful.

I'm not too

Zac: worried about it.

Yes, do you have the plans?

The, you are the architect.

I'd imagine there are
some plans around here.

Oh,

Grace: I do.

I'm not sure I should be
showing them to you, though.

Zac: No,

Grace: a good architect- It still is
m- somewhat of a sensitive matter.

Zac: Yes, no, and once again, I
respect the work you're doing.

But a good architect always has more than
one copy of good plans, as one may say.

Once again, I purchase oddities,
and if you cannot help me

with the blade, so be it.

But I would love to just understand.

My feeble mind cannot create such a
containment device, per se, but I would

love to see these and possibly buy the,
a copy of the plans from you if possible.

Grace: I'm not sure.

Could try the…

bernard's here got a decent memory.

He might give you a sketch of some of
the designs, but I think the full thing

not exactly a patent on it, but I don't
see a need for you to be seeing that.

There's all sorts of technical jargon
and such, and quite frankly, when you see

the schematics of some of these things,
you can't make hide nor hair of it.

But if you want to continue to pursue
this, I'll let you make another pers-

persuasion check, but it's gonna
be a much higher DC as you are now

directly asking for things that he
was s- somewhat specifically told

not to go around showing people.

Zac: I'll go for it

That it's not gonna do anything.

So I am assuming this conversation
will end relatively quickly.

Pretty

Grace: much, yeah.

Zac: Wonderful.

I understand your
discretion and your works.

I will make sure that I
bother you no further.

Thank you again for your time.

May your adventures be ever legendary.

And I'll walk off.

Grace: Okay.

Great.

Just establish, where
are you heading next?

Zac: I'm gonna link
back up with the group.

Grace: Okay, cool.

Then we can join back in
with everybody together.

And you are heading to
the town hall, I believe.

Or the police hall as it is-

Zac: I'm gonna say-

… Grace: specifically called.

Zac: I'm gonna look at
Cal, or Kel, excuse me.

I keep wanting to call him Cal.

And I guess while we're walking,
I guess my Morath is going to say,

"I believe I found schematics for
our little reconnaissance mission.

I will need them myself.

I believe it will benefit us
greatly, but I need somebody with…"

I'm gonna look at Kel and as character,
and I'm gonna say, "Stealth."

Just- Stealth.

A little sneaky.

I need you to do a sneaky.

Kaleb: I I take it you're not the, the
stealthiest, considering you are- I'm

Zac: six

Kaleb: foot six

the largest person I've ever seen.

What the fuck do you think?

Yeah, that's what I figured the answer,
but y- hey, you tell me who you tell me

who needs to die or what I need to steal.

I'll get it for you.

Zac: Yes, we will talk about this later.

We have time, but it will commence
tomorrow, so I am curious of it.

Anywho y'all keep going to the town hall.

I've got to go pay our
friend Ferrison a visit.

Adam: I'm just, I'm gonna dart off again.

As you- So y'all go on with your story.

Kaleb: I'm gonna, I'm gonna lean
over to Mal and just be like,

"I'm an objectively evil person.

He's got something weird
about that halfling.

I'm, it's just I just don't get it."

Skyy: Maybe it's, maybe…

he spends all his time with Malakar.

When's the last time he saw a woman?

You know what I'm saying?

He probably has the hots for her.

That's true.

You

Kaleb: know what I'm saying?

That's…

It's gotta be something.

I just, it-

Skyy: It's something

I

Kaleb: don't know.

It's the…

I don't, I enjoy…

Trust me, you have seen I
enjoy messing with people.

But I have- Yeah … he's got something.

He's got something weird about it.

I don't know.

Skyy: Weird.

Kaleb: All right.

Let's go to, let's go take care of your
thing, 'cause I'm getting hungry and-

Yeah … I, we gotta find something.

Skyy: Yeah.

Let's do that.

What are you, what you doing?

What are you going, looking…

What are you looking in the hall for?

What you doing?

As I turn to Adam's character.

Adam: Oh I just I met up with you guys.

I'm just, I'm here-

Skyy: You're just-

… Adam: right now.

Oh.

Just,

Whatever you need, just let me know.

Kaleb: El fully did not even
recognize that you're here.

He turns around and goes, "Oh,
you're so big, you're so silent."

You been here the whole time?

Adam: I yes, the whole time.

Kaleb: I'm gonna have to
put a bell on you, geez.

Adam: If you put a bell on
me, I might snap at you.

Kaleb: Oh,

Adam: yeah?

Then then I might turn
into a statue or something.

You're just saying my bell's
gonna- That's just an old joke.

That's just an old joke.

Don't worry about it.

Kaleb: That's just an old joke.

Turtle joke, I got it.

I

Adam: got it.

Skyy: Turtle humor.

Adam: Turtle humor.

Kaleb: I got

Adam: it.

Grace: All right, let's get
to it Continue downtown.

Indeed, make your way downtown.

And yeah, you near the center of
the town, you find a fairly humble

building but that appears to be the
central bureaucracy for this place.

There's maybe just a
handful of rooms inside.

If you…

are you just g- are you gonna
scout it out a little bit or

just go straight inside or what?

Skyy: Turns to Kel, if
he's gonna look around.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Lord, I'll take a look around.

What he- what are we needing?

I'm gonna need some specifics,
'cause it's gonna look real weird

if I'm just poking around on doors.

Skyy: Listen, all I gotta find is
this Orc guy, and then I gotta, kill

him, and his information, so- Oh

that's all you know, that's all I know.

Kaleb: Okay.

Cool.

A- ask what not.

Yeah, so I guess I'm just
gonna be looking around, 'cause

obviously there's the front door.

I wanna look for there's a back door,
side entrance, something like that,

where we're not just walking straight
through the front, where people

are obviously gonna see us walk in.

Maybe if there's somewhere that I can
sneak in and watch or something like that.

Or if I notice that there is a door
that people are coming in and out of

Grace: Yeah.

So there is a let's see.

Let me just…

do,

Adam: do.

Oh, yeah like that door
over there, and he points.

Correct.

Grace: There is- Yeah, I'll wander on

Kaleb: the sides of the building

… Grace: definitely a main door I'm

Kaleb: just looking for something
that's not the front, the main entrance.

Grace: Yes.

There is in fact a main entrance.

Nice big double doors,
a guard on each side.

Look mostly just security
theater, but they're there.

And there is on the opposite side
a smaller door that says Ministers

Hall, and it also says private.

Kaleb: Okay, cool.

This feels like a dumb question.

Is it locked?

Grace: It is.

Kaleb: Okay.

Figured as much.

Adam: What do you know?

It's been locked and thieves
tools for some reason.

Oh

Kaleb: my

Adam: God.

Step one in D&D-
Yeah … is the door locked?

Yes or no, and then follow the path.

Kaleb: Correct.

I'm gonna…

I guess my question for you,
Skye, like what's Mal doing?

Are they just g- are you guys just
like hanging out up front, or did

you go through the front doors
and then I'm through the side?

Skyy: No, I wouldn't have
gone through the front doors.

I'm probably just trailing
behind you walking around.

Kaleb: Okay, cool.

I guess I'm just gonna before
we get, within plain sight of

the guards, I'm just gonna peel
off or find a side alley to see.

I see this door and I come
back and say surprise.

Simple design.

There's really just, there's the main
door," and then I say that there's,

it says Ministers Hall, and it's l-
it looks like it's locked, but let's

be real, that'll take me all of two
seconds to pop if we're being honest.

But if

Skyy: you, if- we're
good with that … there

Adam: was that side.

Like what are we trying to
find in the Ministers Hall?

Skyy: The head of trade
is who I'm trying to kill

Adam: Oh.

Zac: Bloody important.

For

Skyy: sh- bloody important.

It is

Zac: a little important … for
a first day and we're killing

Adam: people already?

Skyy: The scale, wide and verse- Listen,
I just, I wanna see where he is, what

information he's got, and then we
can recon once we know our big friend

is with us and can help kick ass.

Adam: Yeah.

Let me see.

Is there anything?

Kaleb: Ba, bum

Yeah.

I'm gonna…

Yeah, so I guess, Scott, Mal, do you
want me to Scott, do you want me to

try to pop that door open so we can
look inside of it for like later?

Or do we, would, are you good just knowing
that's there in case we need it later?

Skyy: I'm good knowing that's there.

We could maybe just see if we can enter
the front door so we have like- Yeah

an exit strategy.

Kaleb: Yeah, so we at
least know what's in there.

Skyy: Cool.

Layout.

Map.

Adam: I can take you to the
first, second, third floor.

Kaleb: That's just what, that's just
what's playing in his head the whole time.

Yeah, Super Carpenter-
Kel's gonna walk up-

… Adam: exists in universe.

Yeah.

It's

Kaleb: canon now.

It's canon now.

Yeah, it is canon.

She's a halfling.

Kel's gonna walk up.

He's gonna walk up, let Melora
know that the door is there, and

he's gonna go we know it's there.

Probably wouldn't hurt to know
what the inside of the building

looked like, but that, that's up to
you, asking shooting first, asking

barge and in's kinda your thing.

I'm, that's not my field
of expertise, Madam."

Skyy: Let's go, my friends.

And I start walking towards
the guards, mean mugging.

Adam: Okay.

Kaleb: Okay.

Adam: Certainly.

Skyy: I'm gonna, I'm gonna try
to just grab the door without

talking to them if they stop me

Grace: They don't they don't
seem very aggressive at all.

… But they do, "Ma'am, ma'am,
do you have an appointment?"

Skyy: Do I need an appointment?

Grace: Unnecessarily, but it's

Skyy: a

Grace: courtesy

Skyy: Okay then.

How am I supposed to make an
appointment if I don't go in

here and make an appointment?

What are y'all, what is your
appointment making process?

Grace: Shit.

Usually tell us- Eric's still
showing … and then we write it

down and tell them, and then we make-

Skyy: Or I could cut the middle man out.

No offense- It's not a

Grace: level

Skyy: of corporation … you
are the middle man.

I could just cut you out and go through.

Grace: Problem solved.

Oh okay.

I'm secretly so proud of this mistress-
at least who are you going to talk to?

… Kaleb: confusing people.

Skyy: Who am I going to talk to?

Maybe your superiors.

What, who cares?

Grace: How am I supposed to
know that unless you tell us?

You gotta give us something
here, ma'am, come on.

Skyy: I turn around and do like a…

All right.

I'm here to see the head of trade.

Is that okay with you?

Is that all right?

Is that good so far?

We good?

We're on the same track?

Grace: Oh, Amber?

Sure.

I don't think he's busy.

This kid's 18.

He's trying his best.

Skyy: You don't think he- You're being

Zac: a Karen.

He's trying to do his job, okay?

Skyy: I know.

I know.

Cool, so you don't think he's busy?

I'm just gonna go in there
and talk with him then.

It's fine.

Grace: Pulls out a little
notebook and is yeah.

Yeah.

No, he doesn't have any
appointments right now.

But he might be busy 'cause he's
just do you wanna like go tell him?

We could go tell him that you're coming."

Skyy: I- I'm sorry, I mean this with
the most love and respect in my heart.

Are you a secretary and a guard, or like-

Grace: Oh, boy

… are

Skyy: you paying for both of these jobs?

Adam: Emotional damage.

Grace: No.

Again, it just courtesy, most of the time
it saves us a little time to, not have…

you go in, they're
busy- Oh … gotta wait.

It can be a whole thing.

But we- Okay

Adam: It's bureaucracy, okay.

You make

Grace: the appointment.

Skyy: Yeah.

They…

It's like the DMV.

Adam: You get this girl.

You take a ticket.

You're five hours in line.

Okay.

Skyy: We will do it your way.

The name, you…

Do you need a name?

For who do you need a name?

Grace: Oh, yeah.

Do they look like a name?

Skyy: It's Melanie.

Oh,

Zac: God damn it.

Grace: Okay.

Is that- … is that a first
name and a surname, or just-

Skyy: It's like a first name

Grace: and a

Skyy: surname hyphenated.

Is it like

Zac: Donna with one- Yeah,
Melanie hyphen Cawley

Skyy: It's hyphenated.

Yeah.

The Third, if you need specifics.

The Third.

Zac: Damn it, I was hoping
you'd forget that part.

Skyy: Oh,

Zac: shit.

Grace: Okay.

So it's

Zac: Mel- Melanie hyphen
Cawley the Third … the

Grace: Third.

Wait, how do you spell that?

Kaleb: Mel Cawley's about to
be the fake name for everybody

Zac: in this part.

M-E-L-O-N.

Hey, the records are wiped
clean, I'm just saying.

Skyy: So yeah, that's who's here.

You go check on him, see if he's too busy

Grace: Okay.

Yeah.

I'm gonna go, "Jeff, you got it?"

And just and he just goes and kind of
pokes in and wait for a minute or two.

He sticks his head back out.

"Yeah, he's not busy.

It's cool,

Skyy: perfect.

Which room is he in?

Are you gonna take me there or I

Grace: mean, yeah

Skyy: I

Adam: was blatantly

Grace: following him … guess
I'm an escort too.

Okay, come on.

Skyy: Perfect.

Let's go.

And I

Grace: follow.

He leads you down.

Yeah.

There's a short hallway with rooms on
either side, and then you can see there's

more of an open chamber at the back.

But you stop in this hallway.

It's like second door on your right.

And he knocks, and then leads you in,
and a scrawny actually, a orcish man

who is currently poring over ledgers
and records and all sorts of stuff,

and looks like a very well-studied man.

But is yeah, just here
busying away in his office.

And yeah.

There are some seats on
the other side of a desk.

And-

Skyy: I give Cal a look.

I could just kill him now.

And I

Kaleb: walk in.

And he just, he very li- very
slightly just shakes his head just

he's just putting his hand to his
mou- just face, just "No, don't.

Don't do it."

Don't do it.

Don't do it.

No, just very just closing his eyes,
just shaking his head very slightly.

Almost imperceptibly.

Just, "Don't do it.

Just don't do it."

That it is, yes

Skyy: Number one, I feel
like I need to just say this.

Y- you guys need to fix your
appointment booking process.

That has irked me to my
soul, I will tell you

Grace: Oh yeah, there's like a whole,
We've got like secretaries and stuff.

Did Callum tell you something else?

Skyy: Are your guards your secretaries?

I feel that's very
important for me to know.

Grace: No, they're just guards.

Skyy: They didn't let me in here.

They wanted to play secretary,
I let them play secretary.

This could've been a lot faster

Oh, gotcha.

Grace: Okay.

He makes a little note.

"Reprimand Calum for wasting time."

Got it.

All right.

Can I help you?

Skyy: Actually I'm not quite sure,
and I turn back to Cal realizing

I have no clue why the fuck I

Kaleb: walked in here.

We I think what my friend here,
she was just more so trying

to get the lay of the land.

We're new and I'm gonna be honest
the guards at the front gate

they gave us no information, so
we're just flailing in the wind.

I myself here am looking to
get in with your jewelers.

I find with myself leaning towards,
and we were just figuring out nobody's

giving us anything, like where we
stay, who's in charge, who we talk to

Grace: That you pick a strange, the
Minister of Trade, I'm not sure how

much I could help you, but because
so just across the hall is our

Minister of Infrastructure, Azrith.

She's very nice.

She will get you hooked up with
all the accommodations you need.

Kaleb: This is what I mean, nobody told…

So like we're, we're here with you,
I'm gonna be honest I'm feeling

a little bamboozled, hoodwinked,
just being thrown around.

So a very professional
regards your secretaries.

What are we supposed to do here?

Did…

Not my problem your infrastructure's
all hood- hoodly winked.

Adam: I got a nice ascot from a tailor.

Yeah,

Kaleb: My friend here-

Adam: I had a great time

… Kaleb: he just, nobody
told him what to do.

He's looking to speak with somebody
and Lord knows who, but- And a dagger

we're just walking around buying stuff,
spending money, stimulating the economy.

We're doing good, and all we're
being done is just thrown around.

So least you can do is tell us where
we can have a nice stay of the night

Grace: Oh of course the guest
house is open to all visitors, or

if you have an interest in joining
The Pious, they can get you their

accommodations outside the town.

They have their own sort of system.

Yeah what is your preference?

Kaleb: You…

I don't know.

Who's The Pious, first off?

You tell me there's a guest house, you
tell me Pi- Pious people, you're just,

you're throwing a bunch of spaghetti
at the wall and nothing's sticking.

Oh if you don't know
who they are, then you

Grace: probably don't
need to worry about it.

Kaleb: See, now you're telling me I
don't need to worry about something,

but I'm gonna be the judge of that.

You won't tell me what
I'm gonna worry about.

Grace: Oh okay.

Let me see.

Hang on, I have some notes on this.

It will make it better.

The more sense in my…

Sorry, I am a numbers guy.

This is not really…

hang on.

The, yeah, so it's The Pious.

Yeah, they're just, people
keep saying they're a cult.

I don't think they really
like that terminology.

Oh,

Adam: saying they're a
cult, I heard of that too.

Grace: Yeah.

People like to talk.

It's it's okay.

They're they're harmless, so we know.

The it's our priestess, she she
came in and has changed some things,

and she has many people who follow
her, and she's brought them here.

It's a bit of a nuisance, honestly-
Yeah … just because they gum up

traffic a little bit, but honestly
they've been extremely friendly.

They're- cults typically
friendly until they're not

very happy even to be here.

All of them chose to be here.

What was that?

Kaleb: I said cults are typically friendly
until they're not, so I don't know.

I mean- Yeah … you, I can't speak
for myself, but- They certainly can

be … yeah, they, you definitely…

Hey, don't drink whatever they're
giving you, I'll tell you that.

If you guys are worried about it,
my, my friend here will, she'd be

happy to link up with any kind of
security you guys got and keep an

eye on them, something like that.

I don't know.

Hey, just we're, again,
we're looking for direction.

Oh, no, we wouldn't- We want to help.

Nobody's help- nobody's
telling us who to help

Adam: Help yourself.

It's just- we'll just walk around and-
Some great fashion choices … we'll

Kaleb: just walk around and be

Adam: doing things.

Yeah.

Great fashion choices.

Help yourself to some great fashion.

Grace: To be perfectly honest, the
people usually come here with some sort

of plan, some reason of being here.

Is this true?

Did you just wander in?

That doesn't happen very often.

I- Most people know of Lakesville-

Kaleb: I, I came here- … and

Grace: they seek it out

… Kaleb: I came here to make stuff.

My friend here came here to
use their talents to protect

the people making stuff.

The portal man here, he's into fashion.

He's looking to make clothes,
and who knows else what.

But y- but again, we're
just not being told nothing.

I'm just trying to…

We're, again, we're trying to help,
but nobody's helping us help you.

Grace: So you come to be the t- tradesman.

You come to train with the craftsman.

Do you have- Yeah … a,
an apprenticeship lined up?

Or a letter- Oh no … of
recommendation, sequel?

That's…

Kaleb: We I've already sp- I've already
been told who to find, but again,

nobody told me who, where to find her.

Grace: Oh, who are you trying to find?

Kaleb: M- Merivale?

Merivale?

Grace: The Merivale?

Oh, she is the- One of it

lovely woman.

Her children, they are, ach,
joy in my heart, as many of

the children in the town are.

They they are very ni- Yeah, she
is in the metalworking district.

Very easy to find.

Well-known in the community.

She's pillar of morale in this town

Kaleb: No, duly noted.

Okay.

Okay.

So we got me taken care of.

My, my friend here, she's…

her craft is protecting people.

It's less about making things and more
about protecting the people making things.

Who's she gonna hook up with?

Grace: Oh, probably
Thaddeus or Minister of,

Kaleb: of Security.

Wait, what?

Yeah, hey.

Out of character, that regretted
saying that the moment it, the moment

Zac: it came out of my mouth.

Maybe we're not talking about that.

She's really thinking
about, "I don't know.

Her character's hot.

Whoever

Adam: she wants, I

Skyy: guess."

Whoever I want to, damn it.

A- as they're- It's on record now,

Grace: buddy.

No taking it back.

Skyy: As they're talking about this
Mal wants to look or just lazily

walk around his office looking for
anything that she's looking for,

Grace: looking for information.

Okay.

It is a a small tornado of manila folders
and trade ledgers have been unleashed

in this room, and as you can see,
there was once an organization system.

There is a number of shelves and file
cabinets and the like but it has been,

It doesn't seem like a recent thing.

Seems like things just have built
up and, nothing ever gets put away.

There's a lot in- happening in here.

But you can, if you're looking for
any particular information, you

can make an investigation check.

Skyy: I have advantage.

Hey.

Grace: Thank

Kaleb: you, 'cause Cal was furiously
trying to keep this person distracted.

Skyy: Ooh 18, 19, 20, 21.

Grace: Nice.

Yeah, is there anything in
particular you're looking for?

Skyy: Yeah I'm looking for information
about the deviant spy, if there's

anything just he has laying out.

Grace: With a 21, you don't, and
you feel- Okay … like you would've

seen if there was something.

You get a decent sort of spread
of okay, there's a lot of

information happening in this room.

I can decipher a decent amount of it.

That information is not here.

Skyy: Okay.

And then I give Cal the signal.

Kaleb: As we, a- and on another
thing, the way these buildings are

created, the way they're designed,
somebody needs to talk to aesthetics.

You guys are a bunch of craftspeople.

But that's for another day.

I apologize for talking your ear off.

I've been here for too much, taking
up too much of your precious time.

But yeah, we're g- we're
gonna be on our way.

I'll go find Mayor Vale, talk to her
and her, about her wonderful kids.

We appreciate it.

Grace: Yeah.

Excellent.

I'm happy to be of help

Kaleb: We're gonna- Can we leave?

We're gonna peace on out of there

Grace: Yeah.

Okay.

Kaleb: Adam, was there anything…

We- we're, I don't have anything else
unless any of you have anything else.

Adam: No, I don't have anything here.

I'm just here with y'all right now.

Kaleb: Cool.

Adam: Not anything to
do with the minister.

Kaleb: Do we wanna watch
everybody's favorite bully?

Yep.

Grace: Yeah.

Do you guys want to go find him
as a group, or are we just gonna

be sort of spectators in this
moment as he does his own thing?

Adam: I'll let him do his own thing.

I don't want to hinder his-
Yeah … time to split right now.

Zach was gonna say, "He
had no, we have no idea

Grace: where he is."

All right.

But it's just- Yeah,
you saw him wander off.

Hey, Zach, what you up to?

Zac: I am trying to find Farison.

Grace: All right.

Farison?

Skyy: The, the guard out front?

The one I'm supposed to
hook up with apparently.

Zac: Yeah.

Yep.

Yep, that one.

Grace: Yep, totally.

Totally.

Yeah, how would you like to
go about looking for him?

Zac: I'm gonna go back to the…

Not out of the gate obviously, 'cause I
don't wanna go through the vetting process

again, but I am going to go by the gate
to see if I just see him, or if I don't

see him, I'm gonna talk to a guard.

Grace: Okay, yeah.

Going by the main gate
make me a perception check.

Ooh, that's a

19.

19, very nice.

So just looking out you see again,
it's like there's this like tent city

between you and like the guard station.

You can see like in between the two,
so on the nearest side of the guard

station, he's just like sitting in
the grass sort of off to the side,

just like spiraling apparently.

Zac: Wonderful.

I'm gonna go sit right beside him,

and I'm gonna sit down and I'm gonna say
it's almost been a full day, and there's

been no bloodshed like I promised, yet."

"I'm very

Grace: appreciative of that.

Did you did you need something, sir?"

" Zac: Yes, I do actually.

I, I need…

I was told of an heirloom
you have, and I need it.

If you want to know what for, I couldn't
honestly tell you, even though I think

we're past the point of lies and truths.

I will tell you I need your sword.

That blade has quite a particular
quality that I am seeking."

Grace: My sword, yeah.

Just this one?

And he kind of gestures to his side and
you see just a standard side sword on him.

Zac: No.

The elf smith told me he'd made
you a s- a sword for your induction

ceremony as gatekeeper, guard,
or whatever the hell you are.

I need that one.

Grace: Minister of Defense.

Zac: Yes, I don't give a fuck about
your title, I just want your sword.

Grace: Okay.

It's it's in a it's in a lock box,

Adam: Yes.

Yes

… Grace: I really…

it's a sword, and you specifically said
you wouldn't raise your blade against

anyone, and I'm gonna be honest- Yes
… it's just making me a little bit nervous.

Zac: It can make you nervous,
but I need you to get it for me.

Grace: Get it for you?

Zac: Yes you're going to go to your
lockbox, and you're going to grab the

blade for me and bring it back to me.

It is a relatively simple task.

I don't see how this is a problem.

Grace: Okay, make a persuasion check.

Zac: Oh, shit.

Grace: DC 18.

20.

Oh my

God.

Yes.

You see

Here's what's really,
what really helps you out.

Oh,

Adam: this is awesome

… Grace: a little war-forged companion
sort of walks over and just,

" Skyy: Ah, it would seem the children
are out from the schoolhouse."

Grace: And you see a little gaggle
of kids just run by laughing and,

playing in the fields out out here in
the open area, and it just sort of-

Okay.

Sure.

When and where do you want it?

Zac: Yes, you're gonna meet me let's see.

Oh, you're also…

Oh, you know what?

Your title is quite important
now that I think about it.

Gave me another idea.

Thank you for that.

But we're gonna meet right
back here on this grass.

I-- oh, look at the children playing.

How sweet.

Very sweet.

Ah, it'd be a damn shame
if one of them got hurt.

Anyway, back to it.

You're gonna meet me right
back here with this blade.

And also, I have one more favor,
and this is a small favor to ask.

But I, seeing as you're the Ministry of
Defense or Minister, whatever the fuck

you are, anyway I think there might
be some devious things going on that

I-- you might need to what's the word?

Acquire some plans to stop these
devious things from happening for me.

Okay, long story short, I'm not
gonna try to sugarcoat this.

The smith has plans of a building
he is working for on the Pious.

I need those plans, and you need to
say it is this town's, under a threat

of these plans or some bullshit.

I need those plans.

I need them now.

Grace: Oh, Talaus plans?

Yeah, loads of people know about

Zac: that.

Yeah he let me know about it.

You need to get those for me and say
it's a matter of, regional welfare.

I don't know, s- make some shit up

Grace: All right, the…

Everyone knows Tula is harmless.

D- I, it's-- not sure how I'm gonna
convince people that whatever she's

got going on isn't gonna hurt anybody.

Zac: I understand, but- Been

Grace: here years

… Zac: yeah, wha- what's the use of your
title if you cannot do defensible things?

You are defending your little town
from a potential devastating effect.

These are…

Do, does anybody know
what these plans are?

What devastating effect do you
think that this is gonna be?

Like- what do you- … we
know what the plans are.

Oh

Grace: what

Zac: are they planning?

Do tell.

Grace: They're gonna birth a god.

They're very meticulous
in these sorts of things.

They're pretty sure it's gonna
work, and quite frankly, if they

fail it's the end of the world,
not just the end of the town.

Yeah, so- … we've all come to terms
with it, and we're not super worried.

The, everything's been planned to a T.

Frankly, probably the most
threat right now is you meddling.

Zac: Yeah, this…

Okay.

Let's dial it back.

Adam: Let's

Zac: dial it back with what you
said here for a minute, right?

They're going to birth a god.

Yes.

And that is not something that might, your
town might need defending from, because

gods are exactly the thing we do not like.

It's the whole reason Malachi
exists is she, he kills

gods, it's kind of his thing.

So here, let me make another proposition.

If a god is birthed here,
we will kill it, right?

So to avoid such bloodshed, I say you get
me the plans and ask no further questions.

We'll leave it at that.

Grace: Sure, I'll get you the plans, but-

Zac: Wonderful.

Bring the doctor with the

Grace: plans … frankly, I don't
think you're gonna stop whatever

machinations are in motion.

There's things have been pretty
meticulously planned I wouldn't

worry too much about it.

Zac: Wonderful.

Here's a gold piece.

Grace: Frankly, it just made my day.

You're missing Mr.

Taleo, but boy, that's
good news for me, frankly.

Good luck, sir.

Zac: Yeah, and Morath is just kinda
like Taleo, mental note, not gonna ask.

He's gonna flick him a gold piece as he
walks away 'cause that's his thing now,

and he's gonna be back up with the group.

Grace: So generous

Zac: Yeah.

Kaleb: Out of curiosity, what
time of the day is it right now?

Is it late afternoon?

What are we looking at?

Grace: It's getting close to dinner time.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Around 5 o'clock now.

Kaleb: I was gonna say, I don't
know if anybody else had anywhere

else, but Kel had a mind to just
head back to the, the common house-

To regroup and figure
out what we're gonna do.

Zac: Correct.

Correct.

Kaleb: I guess we're, do we wanna
meet in our room or would we rather

meet in the downstairs tavern area?

Adam: Probably the room.

Tavern.

Oh, the room.

Okay, cool.

Kaleb: Yeah.

So I

Grace: guess like- Yeah,
it's a very simple room.

There's a couple chests where you
can keep your belongings and yeah,

as I said before, there's five
bunks in which you can settle down.

Kaleb: Cool.

Yeah, Cal's just gonna be like the
room is ours, so we don't gotta worry

about no unexpected guests, and we
got it for the week, so we got all the

time in the world to use this little
humble abode as our base of operations.

What'd you guys find out?"

Adam: Pious is the cult members.

The Dark Dungeon is a temple the priestess
is inside there and they worship Pelor.

Zac: It also…

It does seem that our god friend I
guess I should call him the minister

of defense, did mention a Taleo.

Adam: Is that how you say it, Taleo?

Telea.

Telea.

Telea.

Zac: Oh, he mentioned a Telea.

It does seem that this might be, according
to all other facts presented, the head

of the Pious, the priestess which was
discussed that we might be up against.

They also are trying to summon a god.

That might be a little tidbit
of information I drop on you.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Hey, friend, you could've led with that.

Zac: There seems to be facts, and I
did not have them in order, once again.

Adam: Yeah.

We don't need to stop
them immediately for this.

No.

No,

Zac: we do not.

Adam: We just need…

We need to let them continue to
believe that they can summon the

god- Correct … rather than, just
going out and asking for paperwork.

I know.

That's a little suspicious since
they know you are, who you are.

Zac: Who you are.

Yes, I, I do understand.

But good news is our dear friend is
bringing me the architectural plans for

their building of said, whatever the
fuck they're building, I don't know.

But the, the, the architect plans.

They're bu- They're…

He's giving me plans.

That's what's happening.

Kaleb: Please tell me these are
different than the plans that

you need me to get for you.

Zac: Yes.

So you are of no use as of right now.

But thank you.

Kaleb: If you ever want to make
somebody feel special, might I say.

Zac: You're welcome.

Here's a gold piece.

Kaleb: Oh.

Zac: I throw a gold piece at him.

Adam: Yeah.

But we gotta make sure that we're not
detected in our- Yeah … so we gotta

act like we're gonna try to open up the
god's dimension- Yeah … and try to

teeter it off course for some reason.

Kaleb: I may or may not have a way for us
to at least look like we are assimilating.

There seems to have been a jeweler
shop that has now become vacant.

So if we need something to
look, at least look like we're

fitting in, I've got that route.

Zac: Oh, wonderful.

Wonderful.

Kaleb: Oh.

Gotta say, the, the mask is just…

I know what's under it,
and I don't wanna see that.

The mask equally creeps me out.

Zac: It is here for good reason.

I must conceal my identity.

Adam: Yeah, you've

Zac: done that really well.

One day realized.

I have, Mr.

Turtle.

You--

Adam: They know who you are.

Reveal himself to everybody he's talking

to.

They know who you are.

If Baron goes out and

blares out that Molerath-
Correct … is roaming around-

Zac: Correct

… Adam: then…

Zac: Yes, but he will not hurt

Adam: any children.

He goes up and he asks for the
plans, like "Hey, Molerath needs

the plans to summon the god."

Zac: Yeah, so he's not going to do
that because they threaten children.

What do you not understand
about this right now?

Kaleb: What, did you cut his hand off too?

Zac: No, not yet.

' Kaleb: Cause we're gonna address,
we're gonna have to address that one.

Trust me.

Zac: But there's no addressing.

We're gonna give her hand
back a- when she's done.

She wants to get her
hand back and- What do

Adam: you think I am?

I'm just a cleric.

I'm

Zac: not- I did said
we're gonna give it back.

I did not say we were gonna heal her.

Not gonna

Kaleb: heal.

I appreciate you being, key to
the th- overthrow of Opalkeep.

Your- Yes … stealth ability
is absolute dog water.

It's just terrible.

Correct.

Adam: How did this guy
even take over Opalkeep?

Jesus.

Zac: I believe you have not seen this,

Kaleb: right?

We're not…

This is just something
that needs to be answered.

How?

How did you infiltrate anything?

Zac: You see that this- Seven,
that was like 20 years ago.

It was a, a different time … this
little guy captain was in front

of me, and Malakar, he was
like, "Hey, you're very strong.

Kill him" And I cut that man's head off.

It's very simple.

And then I incited a riot,
and we overthrew Opalkeep.

It was very simple.

It was not

Adam: too hard.

Yes, but this mission, d- did you-- this
mission is to lay low as much as possible.

Correct.

And do little devious things to tilt
the, tilt their plan to go awry- Yes

but make it

Zac: for them to go awry.

Correct.

I've recruited two people to
help us, so you're welcome.

You, did you recruit

Adam: or did you- Recruit
is a hard word there.

Zac: My friend, I have- are
you Malakar's second hand man?

Yes.

Outside of the city, mind you.

And we were gonna kill them.

I don't see why this is a issue.

Adam: We weren't gonna kill them.

That wasn't our goal to kill

Kaleb: them.

Oh, hold on.

Zac: No,

Kaleb: hold on, hold

Zac: on.

We were gonna kill them.

We're gonna act like bandits did it.

Kaleb: The first one,
we were going to kill.

I'll answer up to that.

I was gonna have myself a
tasty little halfling snack.

Good.

So that one's fine.

The hand cutting's forgivable.

You, man, you gotta chill.

You're gonna make- I can
lie, I can fluff my…

I can talk my way out of a lot.

I can't talk my way out of Morath,
the conqueror of Opal Keep,

running around throwing gold

Zac: people.

Okay, fine.

I'm not…

Okay, this is fine.

Fine.

I will be, I will be- … I
will be incognito from now on.

But, okay what have y'all done?

Surely I'm not the only
chaotic one here, right?

I mean-

Adam: Oh I abide by the laws of nature.

Zac: Oh, that's a nice
ascot you got there.

Adam: Why, thank you.

I want information out of that ascot,
thank you, and I, give me a moment

to think … I need each one of y'all
to go by the tailor and say that you

are requesting a an outfit of sorts.

And it's on- … it's paid
b- for by me already, so I…

He just needs to go get your sizes.

So when you find the time- My
friend goes, okay … go by the

tailor's, say you're a friend of
mine, the ascot-wearing turtle, and,

Zac: Oh,

Adam: yes … and he'll get
your measurements, and he'll

have our outfits ready for us.

Zac: Yes.

Yes, okay.

Kaleb: You're telling me I
get a fresh outfit for free?

My friend says yes.

Oh, yeah.

Zac: You're

Adam: welcome.

Zac: Okay.

So what is the game plan?

Obviously, I'm not going to self-designate
here, and I am not the smartest.

Oh, you've

Adam: self-designated enough.

Kaleb: Correct.

Hey, my man, you're the reason
they know who you are- That is true

and that we are here
doing what we are doing,

Adam: there, there- Consider yourself
designated … there are two people.

Zac: There are

Kaleb: two people.

You are now public enemy
numero, numero nu…

you're…

I'm not- Numero uno.

You don't

Adam: know.

Kaleb: Ain't no you.

Numero

Zac: uno is what I'm saying now.

I only got one card

Kaleb: in my

Zac: hand.

Am I supposed to say Uno?

My, my friend, the thing you
are trying to say is numero uno.

Kaleb: That's correct.

Hey, whatever.

Okay.

So what I can do, or at least as I said,
we have ourselves a open craft area.

I can try to work, wiggle my way in with
your friend that's making the sword and

figure out some information that way.

Adam: We know that there's cultist
members that are following Pelor.

From my discussion with the tailor,
he's not too fond of them, but

he wants to give them a, a rad
outfit to identify them with.

So we need to convince them that we
are a part of the cult clan of Pelor

with our new rad outfits that we're
gonna be getting from the tailor, and

we can walk over to the black dome-

Oh,

gosh

that's kinda new, and talk
to the priestess there and

say, "Hey, we wanna join.

Here's us and our garb."

Zac: Oh, yes.

So what colors?

Adam: All undetected.

I'm gonna let the tailor decide.

Taylor gets to make up the cool
rad outfits we get to wear.

Zac: Wonderful.

That is gonna be at the DM's discretion,

Skyy: good.

There there's also another little
hiccup or problem we gotta figure out.

Yeah.

Mr.

Tortoise man, you know that guy we
went to see with the awful secur-

security/secretary situation?

I could go on about that.

That irks me.

Adam: Bureaucracy of this town
needs to be re- rewritten.

Skyy: Yeah.

We gotta redo this.

It's getting to me.

But there…

So we have he has information
about one of our informants

that's somewhere here, I think.

But he has information and I do have
to kill him, but when I was in his

office I didn't find any trace of
the information, so that's a problem.

So I don't know where to
find said information.

We could have killed
him- I thought we were

Adam: revealing myself

Zac: as one

Skyy: of them?

I kill him later.

It has to be before the ritual,
I will say that, I think.

Kaleb: That's our thought as present.

Skyy: Yeah.

Zac: Okay.

Adam: Damn.

Skyy: Just to lay everybody's
Uno cards on the table.

Adam: That's a lot of cards

Skyy: Well- Yeah.

Adam: Yep.

Kaleb: We've now made Uno
canonical in this universe.

Zac: Yes.

Grace: It's a game they
play in the hells, yeah.

Yes.

Little infernal tournament.

Infernal

Kaleb: game.

Zac: It's a p- it's a punishment.

Yeah you just get consistently-
The ninth layer of hell … get

Grace: Plus four.

It's specialized for torture.

Kaleb: Yep.

You get down to wire and everybody beats
you saying Unos, you have to draw a bunch.

Zac: Yes.

All right.

All right.

Kaleb: I don't have a way to get in
with the, the priest into the temple.

But I can handle getting information
on this sword or contraption

that they're building that you
need me to get the plans for

Adam: So- we gotta in, and we
gotta assimilate ourselves into-

Zac: Yes.

So what are our roles?

If we're all sitting here doing devious
things, obviously as- I'm not doing

Adam: devious things just yet.

Zac: Yes, I understand that, Turtleman.

We're preparing to

Kaleb: do devious

Grace: things.

Say one or two devious
acts have been committed.

A few.

And

Zac: we're still

Adam: doing great.

A few devious things.

It's more of like

Kaleb: threatening acts.

Yeah.

If we're going by that standard of
measurement, I've already filled my quota

today, so you guys need to catch up.

That

Adam: was just…

I got called pet.

Zac: Here's all of…

Oh, I'm sorry.

Hey,

Kaleb: we're

Zac: gonna…

Kaleb: Also, you didn't even have to ask.

Zac: Come here.

Come here right now.

Adam: It's 'cause I'm a creature.

It doesn't mean that it-

Zac: Hug it out.

Hug it out.

I understand that.

Come here.

Hug it out.

Kaleb: All good.

Zac: Give me a hug.

It doesn't mean I'm a pet.

If you do a thing,

Kaleb: if you

Zac: do

Adam: a thing- I don't want a hug.

I don't want a

Zac: hug.

Well shake my hand.

We'll call it a day.

I'll

Adam: just slap you and

Zac: say Fine.

I'm an orc that has
considered brotherhood.

Welcome to the family.

All right, I'm going to bed.

Good night.

Stream's

Grace: over.

Kaleb: Yeah.

He's just, he's…

All of this conversation happened
while he was laying in bed.

Adam: In his car just in his…

Grace: About to chill.

He was laying on his tummy with
his feet kicking in the air.

Adam: All right.

Yeah.

That's definitely the thing, and then Avon
gets up on top of the bed, but he's like

belly down, and then you see him like…

And you just and you see his head
pop out, and you'll be like, "Al,

can you put a blanket over me?

I would appreciate that."

Kaleb: For somebody as able as you are,
you sure are real helpless, but yeah.

Adam: Yeah.

Kaleb: And he just throws up, just throws
a blanket over the top of the shelf.

Adam: Now it just looks like a mountain.

Kaleb: Yeah.

Adam: I think

that's a

Grace: good spot.

All right.

So heading down for the night?

Kaleb: Yes.

Yep.

Grace: Yeah.

I do think that is a good stopping point.

Phenomenal first session, guys.

That was great.

Y'all are so evil.

Kaleb: I love

Zac: it.

It is a chaotic party, I will say that.

Grace: Yes.

I love it.

Zac: I mean- Ugh

… Kaleb: yeah, I'm here for this.

Ugh, that

Zac: was- That was fun.
