What is ...But God?

A weekday morning devotional series written by Aaron Marcarelli and hosted by Chad McBeam

“Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.”
Matthew 24:42-44 NASB2020
We should always be prepared, and always be expecting His coming! Therefore, we should always be living in the season of advent.
We must live in such a way as to glorify our Lord. Who has called us to be His witnesses throughout all the earth. We must do this daily in preparation of the second coming of Christ. For He is coming again.

“But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.”
Matthew 24:36 NASB2022
Paul wrote a letter to a young Timothy who was just starting out in the ministry. Paul, through Christ, wanted Timothy to better understand how to promote the ministry of our Lord. Thus telling him how to prepare himself and others for the coming of Christ. Paul explains to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:1-4
“I solemnly exhort you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, and they will turn their ears away from the truth and will turn aside to myths.”
The truth is, Christ has died, Christ has risen and Christ will come again. Our call is to share this message and what God has done in our lives and we should do so, like Christ, with love and compassion.
This is what we should always be focusing on, especially during times of Adventus!

Lord thank you for your words of encouragement and your directing of us towards preparation for your second coming. Please help us to always be ready to share your message, to love others and to seek you first! In Jesus Name Amen…
Shalom Blessings and Press In and Press On!
