A Canadian snowboarder who won a gold medal in the men's giant slalom event at the 1998 Winter Olympics. The International Olympic Committee initially stripped him of the medal due to a failed drug test for cannabis use, but was overruled by an appeals court two days later, resulting in the medal being restored.

Since the 1998 Olympics, Rebagliati has become an outspoken advocate and entrepreneur for cannabis. Rebagliati was the subject of full-page coverage in the July 14, 2008, edition of Sports Illustrated, which profiled his life since his Olympic win.

In this episode of the PoTcast, we're taking you on a tour from the pioneering global cannabis destinations to the budding cannabis tourism industry growing right here in British Columbia. The scene is pretty ripe here.

You can't get any more left coast than Victoria. be honest. Yeah, right. You know, the epicentre of people taking cannabis very bloody seriously. Seeing the community out here Victoria has been so supportive of us. It really feels community in a space that, you know, we're trying to educate the public as much as possible as well, too. It's been a wild ride. I'm just loving every minute of it. And we'll chat with a business owner who's combining the best of the left coast into one memorable experience for visitors.

I've got a passive transportation license and all the things you need to drive people around safely, in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Started taking people for drives in the summer just put a website up and said, hey come do some sight seeing tourism and get stoned.

So Awesome.

I mean thats what I would like to do. Right I'd be like if someone's gonna pick me up in a nice Jeep take me directly to a dispensary buy some weed. Then take me to a cool spot to smoke it and then show me all the cool places around town like thats like my dream scenario.
