What is Modeling Success?

Modeling Success is created to bridge the gap between talent and brand. Putting everything out on the table, addressing current situations and hot unspoken topics that are happening in the industry that need to change. We will address topics such as the models and brand's point of view on industry topics. As well as discussing success in the industry, what it is to be a model and what agencies and brands are looking for when seeking talent. Just because you get paid for pictures does not make you a model. A model is "a system or thing used as an example to follow or imitate". A model is someone or something one aspires to become, someone who works their butt off and is someone people can look up to. This podcast is here to assist Talent in learning pride and true tactics for success in the industry.

I, Rian Donatelli, will use my 25+ years experience within this industry to discuss all these topics and more through conversions and panels with other people in the industry from talent to brand executives to the venues and establishments that we are operating in. We are going to find some hard truths that need to be heard on all fronts.

Speaker 1:

Welcome back to Myling Success. I'm your host, Ryan Donatelli and today, we're going to discuss the importance of hiring the right brand ambassadors for your brands. This goes out to brands. This goes out to agencies. This is just important to everyone involved in experiential marketing in any capacity when trying to target your audience and your avatar and your target customer.

Speaker 1:

So this is valuable to you if you are in a space where you are either owning a brand or representing a brand, shedding light on this crucial aspect of brand representation that often gets overlooked and the significance of hiring the right brand ambassadors, is what we're going to cover. So at Talent Booking Experts, we understand the impact that well trained and qualified brand ambassadors can have on accurately representing your brands and executing activations to perfection. So at Talent Booking Experts, we do offer TalentBook certified brand ambassadors. This can be found and open to the public. Tbm, it's t as in talent, b as in book, m as in master class.

Speaker 1:

T b masterclass.com is the domain, and that is where you can become certified as a brand ambassador in the alcohol industry. It does cover legal do's and don'ts, how to start a promotion, execute a promotion, handle challenges during promotions to make sure that you are effectively working out in the field. So if you are interested in becoming a certified brand ambassador and looking to separate yourself and join the upper echelon of BAs in the marketplace, that certification and accreditation is for you. That will also allow you to justify requesting top dollar for your work and showcasing that you do take this role serious as a career. Okay.

Speaker 1:

Let me explain why hiring the right brand ambassadors for your brands is why this matters. Number 1, consistent brand messaging. Brand ambassadors serve as the face of your brand. Embodying this values personality and messaging and hiring individuals who align with your brand's image and who have perceived proper training ensures that they are accurately representing your brand to customers and that your brand message is consistent, creates a strong unified brand identity, enhancing brand recognition, and establishing a lasting impression on your target audience. K.

Speaker 1:

You want to make sure your brand message stays the same state to state, county to county, everywhere you are going. So training your BAs is super valuable to you. Number 2, professionalism and brand image. The professionalism and demeanor demeanor of a brand ambassador directly reflects on your brand's image. By selecting brand ambassadors who possess the necessary skills and training, you can ensure they rep they present themselves in a manner that aligns with your brand standards.

Speaker 1:

This professionalism not only enhances the customer's perception of your brand, but it also fosters trust and credibility leading to increased customer loyalty. Number 3, execution of activations. Proper training equips brand ambassadors with the knowledge and skills and well trained brand ambassador knows how to engage, educate, and leave a lasting impression on potential consumers. Consumers. Their ability to articulate your brand's key messages and connect with the target audience and significant impact to discuss on your activations.

Speaker 1:

So it takes a few seconds to get a customer's attention, But our goal as brand ambassadors is to keep their attention. So how do we do this? We do this with education. We do this with knowledge. We'd like to educate and influence the consumer that we're speaking to.

Speaker 1:

So having education, being on product competitive brands, all of this is beneficial to your brand ambassadors. Execution of activations is number 3. Proper training equips brand ambassadors with the knowledge and skills required to to execute activations effectively. From product demonstrations to engaging with consumers, a well trained brand ambassador knows how to engage, educate, and leave a lasting impression on potential customers. Their ability to articulate your brand's key messages and connect with the target audience can significantly impact the success of your activations.

Speaker 1:

This is super important. They also need to know how to handle challenges, how to keep someone's attention, know about competitive brands. So if they say no, this is my my drink, they can talk about the differences, how they're alike, how they're similar, and then potentially get the customer to sample the product and maybe even be welcoming to also embracing this into, their portfolio of likes, let's say. Number 4 is product and industry knowledge. Brand ambassadors need to be well versed on your products and the industry in which your brand operates.

Speaker 1:

Comprehensive training ensures they have a deep understanding of your offerings, allowing them to answer consumer inquiries, provide valuable insights, and promote your brand's unique selling points. This knowledge empowers ambassadors to create meaningful interactions and build positive associations with your brand. K. When someone's educated on a product, they will take that education as power, and they will then go educate others. This is a brand ambassador creating other brand ambassadors.

Speaker 1:

So anytime you have the chance to educate someone on the differences and similarities of what they like and what you're offering will not only allow you to gain more time with the customer, it will also allow you to gain loyalty, create brand ambassadors in our customers. I can't tell you the endless amount of stories of people that have come up, especially representing Jim Beam and saying Crown's my drink. And we're like, okay. That's amazing. But why?

Speaker 1:

Why are you drinking Crown? Is it what was in your dad's liquor cabinet? Is it just what you've drank for 20 years? Like, what is it about Crown that is your drink? Because Crown is whiskey, and this is bourbon.

Speaker 1:

And let me tell you about the differences between whiskey and bourbon and that there's room for 2 at home for you. So when you start to educate them on the differences of bourbon and now they're becoming educated, they take that as power, and they go and turn around and tell other people about the differences and even the experience with that model at that time. So Beam becomes your drink. Jody becomes your girl. Whatever the scenario is, they are taking a liking to the education and power you are giving them.

Speaker 1:

And number 5 is adapting to changing environments. The right brand ambassador will possess the, adapt. Sorry. The right brand ambassadors possess adaptation and flexibility needing to navigate diverse environments and engage with different customer demographics. Through proper training, they can acquire these skills to adjust their approach and communication style accordingly, and ensure the brand resonates with various audience and markets.

Speaker 1:

You know, when you're at a NASCAR race, it's going to be a different scenario than when in the grocery store. There are different customers. There are, different lifestyles, and how you approach each individual matters. So training your brand ambassadors on different scenarios, different avatars, different customer profiles, and typically what they're attracted to is beneficial. Also, training your brand ambassadors on different packaging your product comes in, which states these are available in, you know, draft and what size the kegs are matters to a restaurant owner.

Speaker 1:

You know, being on draft bottle and can matters to both audiences, customers, and your bar managers, customers, and bartenders. So know what size cans. Know what the packaging is. Let them see what it looks like so they can recognize the label. Your bottles, what size glass this comes in?

Speaker 1:

Are these 12 ounce bottles? Are these growlers? Are these larger, glass bottles as well? Everything matters. And then draft.

Speaker 1:

So draft bottle can. It all matters. Price point will obviously vary, but if the talent can know at least what the packaging and offerings are, they will be able to tell consumers. They also need to know what states it's available in. When you work in a market like Vegas, you've got a large tourist audience.

Speaker 1:

So you wanna be able to tell them to look out for these different packages in their states because in certain states, things are available. So at TBE, Talent Booking Experts, we do recognize the significance of hiring brand ambassadors. We wanna assure that they get the training that they need to accurately represent brands and execute activations properly.
