Prime Cleaning and Restoration Podcast with Jordan Brush

How do I know if my air ducts need cleaning? The clearest signs are dust settling back on your furniture right after you wipe it down, a musty smell when the system kicks on, and allergies or stuffiness that just won't let up inside your own home. In this episode I walk you through what to look and smell for, so you can tell whether your ducts are actually dirty or somebody's just trying to sell you something you don't need.

I'm Jordan Brush with Prime Cleaning and Restoration right here in Tyler, Texas. I got into air duct cleaning for one simple reason — nobody around East Texas was doing it right, and I wanted to set the standard for what a proper job's supposed to look like. So on this one I'm going to be straight with you about what a real air duct cleaning includes, what it shouldn't cost you in headaches, and how to know if you're being upsold or shortchanged. I'll help you figure out what those dust, smell, and allergy signs are really telling you, and what questions to ask before anybody ever runs a hose into your vents.

The way I see it, you don't have anything but your word and your name, and we aim to stand behind ours. Prime Cleaning and Restoration Podcast with Jordan Brush is straight talk on air quality, water damage, and what restoration really costs — from the guy who built Prime Cleaning and Restoration of Tyler from the ground up. No sales pitch, just the truth from someone who's done the work.

Hey y'all, I'm Jordan Brush with Prime Cleaning and Restoration right here in Tyler, Texas. This isn't really my business, it's God's business, and I'm just doing my best to run it right, treat folks the way they deserve, and set a standard for what quality's supposed to look like. Pull up a chair and let's visit.

So how do you know if your air ducts need cleaning? The honest answer is your house will usually tell you, if you're paying attention. The signs are there, you just gotta know what you're looking at.

The first thing a lot of folks notice is dust. You wipe down a shelf, and two days later it's coated again like you never touched it. When that dust just keeps coming back no matter how much you clean, that's a real good sign it's blowing right out of your vents.

Another one is smell. If you cut on your air and get a musty, stale kind of odor, that's not your imagination. That's usually dust, moisture, and whatever else has settled down in that ductwork, and now you're breathing it every time the unit runs.

And then there's the one that hits closest to home for a lot of families, and that's allergies. If somebody in the house is sneezing, stuffed up, scratchy eyes, and it doesn't seem tied to the season outside, your ducts are worth a real hard look. The air in your home ought to be helping your family, not working against them.

Now here's why this matters so much to me, and it's the reason I got into duct cleaning in the first place. When I started this business, I looked around and realized nobody around here was doing air duct cleaning the right way. I decided somebody needed to set the standard and show people what a proper job actually looks like.

Because here's the truth, and I'll be straight with you. A proper air duct cleaning is more than a fella running a little vacuum attachment up to your vent cover and calling it done. That's where a lot of good people get shortchanged, and they don't even know it, because they never saw what it's supposed to be.

Doing it right means actually getting up into that system and pulling out what's built up over the years, the dust, the debris, all of it. It takes the right equipment and somebody who cares enough to do the whole job, not just the part you can see. If you ever feel like you're being rushed or upsold without anybody showing you a thing, trust that gut feeling.

The way I see it, you deserve to know exactly what you're paying for. We want to work for you, not take advantage of you, and we're glad to show you what we're pulling out of there so you can see it with your own eyes. That's just how it ought to be done.

So if your dust keeps coming back, your house smells a little stale, or your family can't quit sneezing indoors, your ducts are probably talking to you. And there's no shame in it, every home gets there eventually, it's just part of owning a place.

Listen, all you've really got in this life is your word and your name, and we aim to stand behind ours. If we can help you out, carpet, air ducts, restoration, all of it, give us a call at nine zero three, five nine four, eight zero zero seven, or find us over at prime cleaning and restoration of tyler dot com.
