Transport for London has announced that four bidders have been confirmed on the shortlist to take over as operators of the Elizabeth Line when the current contract expires.
The current contract with MTR Elizabeth Line is set to expire in May 2025, with MTR Corporation one of the shortlisted bidders.
Other bidders include Arriva, First Keolis Elizabeth Line, and GTS Operations Limited.
Network Rail has completed the final phase of a five-year £375m programme with the installation of cutting-edge new signalling equipment between Feltham and Wokingham.
During the most recent closure, engineers installed 43 new signals, upgraded two level crossings, and renewed a double railway junction.
