Noon Hour Of Madness & Mayhem

This episode begins exactly where a responsible podcast should never begin: with Viktor Wilt apparently having once again attempted to personally headbutt the structural integrity of civilization. The show immediately launches into the revelation that Viktor recently smashed his head in an Arctic Circle bathroom after making the deeply questionable decision to try popping his ears while standing up. This was not some graceful medical maneuver performed by a trained professional. This was Viktor plugging his nose, attempting to force his ears to pop, and then apparently downloading a temporary trial version of consciousness because the next thing he knew, he was waking up on the floor with his head having introduced itself violently to a tile wall and his knee having also gotten involved in the festivities. He had been feeling sick before the trip to Park City, his ears were already suffering from elevation and sinus pressure, and then a mountain fire forced the group off the freeway and into a tiny Utah town where fate apparently decided that an Arctic Circle bathroom would become the scene of the most idiotic near-death experience imaginable.

The truly magnificent part is that nobody immediately knew what had happened because the Arctic Circle bathroom was apparently located far enough away from civilization that Viktor could theoretically have died in there and become a local Utah mystery. He stumbled out pale, disheveled and refusing to explain himself until they got back to the vehicle, where he finally confessed that he had passed out while trying to pop his ears. Naturally, Becca responded not with the immediate solemnity one might expect after discovering that her travel companion had just potentially concussed himself in a fast-food restroom, but by laughing hysterically. Viktor, meanwhile, was conducting a full internal medical investigation, wondering whether he had a concussion, whether one pupil was larger than the other, whether he had brain damage and whether he might simply die. Somehow he still managed to eat a chicken sandwich, although the group spends an absurd amount of time debating why he didn't order the legendary Arctic Circle ranch burger and tots. Because apparently even during a potential neurological emergency, the real tragedy was that Viktor made the wrong lunch decision.

The episode then takes a hard left turn into Viktor's extensive history of falling down at concerts and radio events. Apparently this is not an isolated incident. He has fallen at Papa Roach, fallen around radio people, fallen through a curtain, and generally demonstrated that standing upright is merely a suggestion. Yet somehow he managed to survive the Ian Munsick concert without falling, despite the venue being on a slope and the entire event eventually being pummeled by an absolutely brutal rainstorm. The crew also revisits the infamous Cody Jinks incident where Viktor apparently arrived late and repeatedly demanded to know where Shane Smith and the Saints were, despite the fact that there was another opener. His defense, naturally, is that he wasn't screaming. Everyone else in the room strongly disagrees.

Then comes the Ian Munsick Park City takeover, which apparently involved Ian Munsick taking over approximately the entire municipality of Park City, Utah. There were events throughout the day, including an 8 a.m. coffee-and-hike event that Viktor predictably did not attend because walking before the reasonable hour of civilization is apparently beneath him. Instead, the first event he actually bothered to attend was a 3 p.m. happy hour at the Palomino, where the food sounded like it had been designed by someone who hated cowboys. Salmon pancakes, meat tartare, black bean sliders and tiny expensive dishes were discussed while Viktor repeatedly questioned why anybody would spend nearly $20 on something that looked like cat food when they could simply eat a burger. The real objective, however, was the elaborate drink-and-stamp system designed to acquire an Ian Munsick beer koozie.

And then the alcohol arrived to test whether Viktor had learned anything from the Arctic Circle incident. Spoiler: absolutely not. Viktor and Justin ordered the Mountain Goat, an extremely strong old-fashioned-style drink containing enough spirits to make Justin immediately realize that the situation had developed a concerning trajectory. They also sampled the Medicine Man, which Viktor described as something that Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2 might drink in the woods while attempting to cure tuberculosis. Then, as if two strong cocktails weren't enough, Ian Munsick's wife emerged with giant shots for everyone. Viktor enthusiastically participated because apparently the human brain can survive being knocked unconscious by ear pressure and still immediately volunteer for another terrible decision.

Somehow, against every conceivable prediction, Viktor actually behaved himself in the radio room. Ian Munsick came in, recognized Viktor from Idaho, and everything initially went perfectly normally. Then Ian began discussing his bass playing and his cover of Ozzy Osbourne's “No More Tears,” and Viktor's brain apparently activated its emergency heavy-metal override. Rather than simply allowing the conversation to continue like a normal human being, Viktor interrupted and announced that Ian needed to learn Primus' “My Name Is Mud.” Ian responded that it would take him years to learn, which Viktor interpreted not as a polite dismissal but as an invitation to continue campaigning for the greatest possible country-meets-Primus crossover in human history. Viktor later whispered “Primus, My Name Is Mud” into Ian's ear before the photo, causing Ian to laugh. And somehow this was considered one of Viktor's more restrained interactions with an artist.

The concert itself somehow ends with Viktor claiming a clean victory: no falling, no fights, no catastrophic public incident, and only getting absolutely annihilated by rain. He still didn't stay until the end because apparently concert survival requires strategic evacuation before the Uber prices enter their final boss phase. The crew debates whether the obvious solution is simply driving, walking or staying until the end, while Viktor points out that their hotel was essentially downhill from the venue. His alternative transportation strategy appears to involve potentially rolling down the mountain like a human tumbleweed.

Then, because one bizarre story apparently wasn't enough for this episode, the conversation moves to Peaches' apartment being invaded by a mysterious black cat. The cat simply walked into his home, began inspecting the furniture and plants, and behaved as though it had signed a lease. Peaches, rather than immediately embracing his new feline overlord, contemplated various methods of extraction before ultimately trying to politely convince the cat to leave. The internet immediately diagnosed the situation as the legendary “cat distribution system,” but Peaches rejected his appointment to the position of Cat Owner. He knew the animal appeared to have a home across the street, although it had no collar, and the entire situation became an unexpectedly intense philosophical debate about outdoor cats, microchips, shelters and whether Peaches was being selected by forces beyond his control.

Then came the funeral for the plant. Peaches had owned a plant for years, had watched it survive winter, watched it deteriorate during the brutal summer heat, moved it around, watched it repeatedly fall over and finally reached the point where he carried it to the dumpster while listening to sad music. This wasn't merely throwing away a dying houseplant. This was John Wick losing his dog, except the dog was a Costco plant and the murderer was Peaches himself. He dramatically said goodbye, threw the plant away and then realized he had absolutely no revenge plot because he was the person responsible for its demise. It was the most emotionally devastating botanical crime scene imaginable.

Finally, the episode reveals why Peaches has seemingly disappeared from social media for most of the summer. He has been avoiding public life, getting groceries delivered, going out late at night, working on himself, seeing a counselor, revamping his apartment and—most dramatically—losing 51 pounds, going from 399 pounds to 348. The weight-loss journey is part of a much larger attempt to enter his upcoming decade as a different person. He's approaching 30, has been doing serious self-reflection and intends to eventually make a massive social-media post explaining what he's been doing all summer. Of course, the reveal is immediately buried beneath jokes, a malfunctioning scale that briefly claimed he had lost an impossible amount of weight, and a discussion of sleeping naked that nobody needed but everyone received anyway.

The episode ends with Peaches explaining that his friends have been mercilessly roasting his weight-loss journey, including an absolutely deranged Olive Garden encounter where his friends encouraged him to order chicken and vegetables while discouraging pasta and breadsticks. The poor family in the neighboring booth apparently had to sit there and watch this entire nutritional tribunal unfold. Peaches has transformed into a self-described “hydro homie,” is preparing for a California trip, is already planning multiple In-N-Out visits, and is determined to eventually break his social-media silence. So the final tally for this episode is approximately: one concussed radio DJ, one Arctic Circle bathroom that nearly became a crime scene, one Ian Munsick takeover, several dangerously powerful cocktails, one unsolicited Primus campaign, one biblical rainstorm, one rogue cat, one deceased Costco plant, one 51-pound weight-loss journey, one impending 30th birthday existential crisis, and enough Olive Garden cheese-related discussion to bring civilization itself to its knees. This wasn't a podcast episode so much as a police report written by three people who kept getting distracted.

Speaker 3: lot there was what happened there was some blood and it was mainly a lump um when I sent that picture to Peaches uh Becca said Rebecca sent lump

Speaker 2: on a lump

Speaker 4: yeah just you can't really tell because it's so lumpy of sent a picture of the side of his head again guess what Victor did that's a that's what the caption said I thought I thought he got stunned by a mosquito like you know because he's allergic to them and they get a giant bump but no it's you're allergic to

Speaker 2: mosquitoes you are such an inside cat

Speaker 3: it's it's crazy I mean as long as I take my you know zertek every day I don't have a bad reaction from the mosquito bites but they do kind of look like that um if I don't take my catch a bunch of mosquitoes and just let them

Speaker 4: listen what's in the box oh just put them in his

Speaker 3: office we need to we need to wipe them all from your face In your ketchup drawer. so when you go in there ketchup drawer's getting a little low I might need to read fill it up with mosquitoes

Speaker 4: you just showed us that Bobby Bones video the first three seconds we get Victor attacked by mosquitoes.

Speaker 2: Nice solid I got attacked by mosquitoes that's

Speaker 3: right so anyhow uh on Friday I don't know if I think I mentioned I wasn't feeling the greatest uh prior to go to going to Park City I had a little bit of a headache and a little like just filling it a little bit at my chest like I was playing something none of us cared.

Speaker 2: Yeah I don't remember you saying that. I don't remember you saying you were ill at all.

Speaker 4: Oh please he says it every show my stomach hurts my leg hurts my elbow hey

Speaker 3: Peaches is turning into me he's on all the same meds too so

Speaker 4: anyway I got a panic pack

Speaker 3: alright so I wasn't feeling the greatest but it's like all right hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow let's go and you know we're doing the drive we go over the Malad pass and as we were coming down my ears started popping

Speaker 2: well elevation

Speaker 3: yeah uh but I think because of the sinus pressure or whatever I had going on it was really bad like made my ears hurt you know it they were plugged and hurt bad and so we get diverted off the freeway because uh the mountain was on fire uh in the middle of the freeway was on fire so they kick us off into tree mountain or some little dinky crappy Utah town and uh we're driving along we were gonna get in and out burger but now we're delayed so we happen to be driving past an Arctic Circle. I was like all right I'd been trying to this was what day this was on Friday.

Friday night Friday afternoon. Okay so I had tried popping my ears in the car while I was driving and it didn't work. Remember that I will never I will never try popping Okay. I will never try popping my ears in motion or when not sitting again in the car doing driving.

Speaker 2: Yeah which is a bad idea but so it didn't work so we get to Arctic Circle and we order our food and I'm like all right I'm gonna go use the bathroom while I'm in there get you know do my business get done and I'm like oh I should I gotta try popping these ears again because it's driving me crazy. If you're gonna do that in a bathroom in a fast food restaurant that's a single person lock door you should probably sit down on the toilet and then try to pop your ears because I was just standing there and uh plug my nose blow and then I wake up on the floor I had smashed my head into this the tile wall and smashed my knee into the tile floor I'm on the dirty bathroom floor and I have no clue where I am how hard

Speaker 4: you have to try to like unplug your ears for you to pass out.

Speaker 3: As hard as I did. Because I just I just put a yawn and all that you just And it And it didn't even unpop my ears. Some carbures on the road. Becky would have done. And their bathroom is located so far away from the front, like nobody heard anything. It had to be a loud.

Speaker 2: Well, yeah, maybe. I think the noise was. Oh my god, babe! I think that was the noise.

Speaker 3: No, she wasn't in there.

Speaker 2: She's no, I know, but if she were if that would have happened in the truck on the drive. Oh my god, babe!

Speaker 3: That would have been grabbed the steering wheel and the K bar secret sound. So I kind of wow. Yeah, and completely sober. Okay. Completely sober. Sure. So I, you know, then I'm stumbling out of the bathroom. And I'm all pale, and Becca's like, what's what's wrong with you? And I'm like, I don't want to talk about it. I'll tell you.

Tell you outside. And so we get our food and we go sit in the car. And then I was able to pop my ears and felt a little bit more.

Speaker 2: little bit better. Oh, good. You tried again. After that experience, you still tried again?

Speaker 3: But I was sitting in a non-moving vehicle. Just sitting stationary. And then I felt falling apart. I felt so like sick and disheveled, I couldn't eat my food. And Becca is like, so what happened? And I tell her the story. She just starts laughing hysterically. And I'm like, I might have a concussion. Alright? One of my pupils bigger than the other. I might have brain damage. I could just die. You do.

Speaker 4: Well, I know what it was a great moment. Try to go to bed and doesn't wake up.

Speaker 3: Yeah, so she's laughing at me, you know, having the best time ever. Does she offer to drive? No. No, she doesn't offer to drive because she's scared. Drive on the freeway.

How useless! So I forced down this crappy chicken sandwich. And then I was like, alright, we can get going again. And she's like, let me take a snapchat of the side of your head.

Speaker 2: Hang on, two seconds. You went to the AC and you didn't get the the uh the ranch burger with tots. You ordered a chicken.

Speaker 3: I ordered I went. I went cheap. I went, you know, because Arctic Circle can be kind of pricey.

Speaker 2: Dude, he's gonna bag of burgers for four dollars or whatever.

Speaker 3: I thought about it, but that's $10.

Speaker 2: He has fallen at $10. That's a great bag of burgers. What are you doing?

Speaker 4: But he has fallen at every concert. I think so. Like the Papa Road show, he fell in the mulch.

Speaker 3: Yeah, but this I did not fall down at Ian Munzik, even though the whole concert was on a slope.

Speaker 4: Justin did text me. Justin was worried for weeks. Weeks ahead of time. How bad is Victor gonna be in that radio room?

Speaker 3: Like, he's been in a radio room with me. I'm fine.

Speaker 4: I still feel bad that I encourage it. As far as you're not trying to pop your ears. I encouraged Victor to pour water on Jade's head at the weird owl show, and Victor's okay, and then dump the water. No, I was there. Jade didn't like it. I was there for that fight. I jokingly said, why don't you pour your bottle of water because Jay was like chucking his shoe or something like that or whatever.

Speaker 3: But yeah, when I'm dealing with uh radio man or you know, labels and band management and the bands themselves, I'm I'm good behaved, all right? I don't get crazy.

Speaker 2: So the you're good spoken too. I'm good spoken.

Speaker 3: I talk, I talk good.

Speaker 4: I felt I fell in the bathroom.

Speaker 3: But we've already been to a radio room with Ian Munzik, and it went just fine, so I don't know why he was worried about. But this one was kind of extra fun. Um, because... You were concussed. Well, I was concussed.

Speaker 4: Dude, imagine if you're not like Elvis, dude. You're just on there in the toilet, some Arctic Circle employee just sees you, they open the stall, you're just dead in there. Single bathroom. Oh, yeah, no one would.

Speaker 2: Until they eventually go, what's going on? And they have to break in, and then they find you on the floor.

Speaker 3: Dead and dumpy. Utah You know, Utah Town.

Speaker 4: Yeah, local radio DJ. Found dead in the bathroom in Utah.

Speaker 2: And no one, because there's cause of death under investigation. Yeah.

Speaker 3: And there's no cameras you'd hope in the bathroom, so people would probably just think I had a brain aneurysm and fell over.

Speaker 2: Well, they wouldn't get the stupid. They'd do an autopsy and a toxicology thing. They'd figure it out.

Speaker 3: You think they could figure out that I plugged my nose and tried to blow my ears.

Speaker 2: They wouldn't figure out how that happened, but they'd be like, the root cause was like some sort of head pressure or something. They'd figure that out. I know, but this dude's full of mucus.

Speaker 3: I would want the headline to be funny. If I'm gonna die in an Arctic Circle bathroom, you have to know why.

Speaker 2: Because I'm an idiot. That'd be the follow-up headline.

Speaker 4: I would make you the logo of the station for like a month straight. Just your dead body on the floor. KMR101.

Speaker 3: Red Chad reading it. Whoa! Radio DJ Guy trying to puff his ears! What a pudding head!

Speaker 2: And he bought a chicken sandwich.

Speaker 3: But here, let's take a quick break and then I'll tell you guys about the the radio room and how I behaved myself. Okay. Alright. Alright, hang on. I interrupted a whole room of radio people to yell a great idea to an artist and just ruin their conversation, guys. Wait till you hear about this. Alright.

Speaker 2: Media forward, man. Content forward.

Speaker 3: That's right. We need a selfie. Okay, so you you mentioned in the last break, Justin had been concerned about my behavior in a radio room situation with artists and labels. Because he made it too specific.

Speaker 1: Your behavior outside of Idaho. Okay, but that's different. We went to Cody Jinx.

Speaker 4: And Victor didn't know there wasn't a specific opener. So Victor comes in about an hour late to the to the concert and screams, where's Shane Smith and the Saints at? Over and over and over again.

Speaker 3: It was not over and Justin and I looked each other like dude. Ron opener, it's Tanner Ursay, and then he like, I don't know what he said after that. He started screaming after that too.

Speaker 3: No, now I don't think I was screaming. You're screaming. We're at a country show. All right.

Speaker 4: Where's Shane Smith and the Saints at? That's how loud you were.

Speaker 3: That's where the worst crowds hang out is at country shows. So I think I was just fine up until the point when I thought Becca dumped me in the middle of the show, and I stormed out and left.

Speaker 4: Because I've done that multiple times now, too. Papa Roach, the same thing. I'm leaving. That's right. Yeah, we're coming out of the couple of things. Well, she jumped. Don't try and catch me with our fall. Also, what's even weirder is that Becca, like after Victor said, I'm leaving, and she stormed out of the port. Becca then disappears, comes back with a cat. At the Papa Roach concert. Where's the cat come from?

Speaker 2: Cats just happen, man.

Speaker 3: She dumped a whole beer on my head. I was mad. So I left. And that was a very expensive beer. Wasn't even that good of a beer. You know how it goes at concert venues. No, I don't. The selection sucks. So anyway.

That's why I don't drink. So um... this last weekend, Saturday, Ian Munzet, country artists, did a Park City, Utah takeover. And they had all these events all day long. He took over the whole town. Took over the whole town.

Speaker 2: Did he get a key to the city? Did they do anything fun like that?

Speaker 3: If he did, that must happen early in the morning when I did not show up for the early morning events.

Speaker 4: Out of all the cities left, it's all they have to keep to the Gardic Circle bathroom. Oh jeez. Yeah.

Speaker 3: That's what I everyone should have if you're with me. So they had this like 8 a.m. uh like coffee and hike thing with Ian Munzik. Do you think I made it to that? No, of course not. Yeah, we're not hiking.

Speaker 4: Why are we walking, Ian? Ian, why are we walking? You were guarded Uber.

Speaker 2: Share up on your phone.

Speaker 3: They have great ride chair service in Park City. I'll tell you what. There's ride chairs everywhere. So we slept in that day. Of course you did. And then uh the first activity that day was a pre-show happy hour, 3 p.m.

at the Palomino, which is this very upscale, you know, typical Park City type of uh bar with like they they had a menu of food that all sounded terrible. Little dice.

Speaker 2: bites. I bet it was delicious. I bet all of that food was. food was amazing.

Speaker 3: Peaches, pull up my Facebook post.

Speaker 2: I saw your I saw your picture, yeah. So did you see the menu? I didn't read through it, but I saw that like a little small uh thing was like 17. Yeah.

Speaker 3: Salmon pancake. I bet that's delicious.

Speaker 4: I bet that's great. Yeah, I'm going with Josh. That sounds great.

Speaker 3: Some kind of meat tartar. That's like what? Just cat food. You know what I mean?

Speaker 2: It's right up your alley, dude. Well, have you ever had like a beef tartare? No. Oh my god. So good.

Speaker 3: It just doesn't look good to me.

Speaker 4: What post did you make? I'm like I'm on your profile.

Speaker 3: I would be post number one. Like with me and Justin.

Speaker 2: And there's multiple, like Yeah, it's a it's in an album. He's got like a couple of pictures.

Speaker 3: It's the one where I'm standing by the cowboy who's has a bright group a blight bright blue grill on his lower teeth. All right. This is a rapper cowboy. He was a cool dude.

Speaker 4: So I thought that was Ian Munsick in that picture.

Speaker 3: No, no. So anyhow, that one. The first event of the day, Justin and me, we get there right at the same time. And they had these little um cards that you had to get three stamps. Yeah, and you could get a beer koozie.

Speaker 2: Yeah, he was telling me about that, but it was like $20 a drink. So you're paying $60 for a $15.

Speaker 1: We won't buy the $10 worth of food.

Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No kidding.

Speaker 4: The prices are pretty crazy for the tuna torture. are. Go for a beer koozie.

Speaker 2: Now, did you have to try all the different uh drinks?

Speaker 3: Now they made now what we were able to do is me and Becca shared a card.

Speaker 2: You know, so you got one koozie. Yeah.

Speaker 3: Well, and then who gets that in a divorce? This is a secret. But we talked to the guy with the stamp into stamping both our cards. So we got two for uh two for 80. Yeah. Uh-huh. And that includes the drink. So me and Justin, we ordered this one called the mountain goat.

Speaker 2: Yeah. Which is an old-fashioned.

Speaker 3: Yes. And it was strong. No kidding. We took a sip. We took a sip and we're like, oh geez. Because it's all spirit.

Speaker 2: Well, yeah, like it's also two like two different kinds. Spirits, and then they also put, yeah, I saw that. Yeah. It was good. And then they put other spirits in it. It's that was intense. So I can see that.

Speaker 3: I knew Justin was concerned about me getting out of hand, and he takes a sip and he's like, oh no. And we had to order at least two apiece and try all the different things. One of them tasted like an actual medicine man made it out in the woods somewhere. The one called Medicine Man. Sure. It tastes like something Arthur Morgan would drink in Red Dead to perhaps cure his tuberculosis.

Speaker 2: So it was a different,

Speaker 4: but the menu looks kind of kind of dumb. Black bean sliders.

Speaker 3: Yeah, why not just some burgers?

Speaker 4: But also like local tomato and cucumber. Yeah. Yeah, that's great. But it's $18.

Speaker 3: That's not great. When you're going to see a cowboy. All right. We're hanging out with a bunch of hicks.

Speaker 2: Okay, I understand. But you're also in Park City at a takeover event at a special like lunch thing.

Speaker 3: Yeah, but you gotta know your audience.

Speaker 2: Okay. The audience is in Park City. That's the like this wasn't like, hey y'all, come hang out.

Speaker 3: It was all Ian Munzik fanatics. Like everybody showed up at a certain time, was in line. It was a bunch of okay, not like the Hicks like you'd see at a Gavin Adcock show. But you know, some kind of hippie cowboys.

Speaker 2: Right. This this isn't like grab a hot dog and a PBR, we'll see you inside, kind of at all.

Speaker 3: No. So how much food do you think I saw people order? Yeah, none. Nobody was ordering that stuff. But they were ordering the drinks because they wanted the koozie. So we have two.

Speaker 4: Is the koozie that nice?

Speaker 3: Like it's I mean, it's a koozie. It'll hold the.

Speaker 2: not just one of those foam ones?

Speaker 4: It's foam. That's why I thought it was a foam one. No way! You spend $60 on a foam coozy. We get those sent to us for free all the time.

Speaker 3: I'm like, you get the drink with it, you know. So you don't know. So it's 3 p.m. You know, 3 p.m. And we each pound down these two very strong drinks. Uh-huh.

And then Ian Munzik wife, she comes out and was like, surprise, everybody! Shots for the home bar. Oh no. And they're the big glasses. You know, the double shooters. We know how Victor Wolf shots.

Speaker 2: are. What was your reaction when she said that? Woo!

Speaker 3: Yeah. And you know, because you you want to be part of the crowd and be enthusiastic. Right. Justin's looking a little concerned, but it's fine. So then we go bam. And we had to be to the radio room. I I don't remember the exact time.

Speaker 2: Prior to radio room. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh boy.

Speaker 3: So we quickly get back to the hotel.

Speaker 1: Somebody didn't know who they were doing with.

Speaker 3: And then we ate us, you know, quickly ate like a sandwich, and it was time to go to the radio room. Radio room was just fine. I was under great behavior. Ian Munzik walks in. He's like, hey, what up? Good to see you again.

Idol Falls, right? I'm like, yeah, you know, cool. Get chatting. And I kind of step away, and it's like Justin and some other radio DJs are talking with him about his cover of um Ozzy's No More Tears.

Okay. And he plays bass on it. So I'm just kind of eavesdropping and he starts talking about how bass is his favorite instrument to play and blah blah blah. And I just, hey! I know what you need to do, Ian.

And just interrupt their conversation. And I'm like, Primus, my name is Mud. Come on. And he just like, he's like, dude, you and your heavy stuff, you're ridiculous.

He's like, that would take me years to learn. No, come on, man. Yeah. I'm like, come on, come on. So then right before we went and did our photos with him, I just kind of whispered in his ear, Primus, my name is Mudd. He just started laughing. So the smile on his face.

Speaker 2: his face was genuine. You whispering in Ian Munzik's ear and it's not on photo. Just imagine that breath. That's oh yeah.

Speaker 3: But you can see right after. Mountain goat. Mountain goat.

Speaker 4: This is like right after Arctic Circle Bathroom of drinks, you know.

Speaker 3: So uh the only out of uh out of line things I did was when I first bumped into him there, I was like, your wife got us drunk. And then I encouraged him to learn uh my name is Mud by Primus. But his his his crew was great, they loved us all, and I did not get in any trouble, and I did not fall down at the show, even though it was on a slant, and we got pummeled by the most brutal rain ever at a show. It was crazy. Did you stay the whole time? Um no. Did you get in a fight? No!

Speaker 4: He never stays at concerts the full time. He'll show up an hour late and then leave 20 minutes after that.

Speaker 3: Well, the problem is if you're out of town and you need an Uber, you know, if you wait till the end of the show, they're gonna cost five times as much, and you're gonna wait forever for one. That's the problem. Yeah. That's why you leave early.

Speaker 2: I have a solution. Leave early. No. Stay to the end.

Speaker 3: But don't need an Uber and drive your own vehicle.

Speaker 2: Drive or walk. Walk.

Speaker 3: Do you know how far we're meant to walk? Down a mountain to our hotel. Down downhill. Downhill. It was like all down. Yeah. I could roll down the hill pretty fast, probably. But uh, yeah, so that was the story of uh radio room with the in Monzik. But yeah. It was it was fun. You should have fellows.

Speaker 1: down in front of him like you did in front of Papa Roach when We went and saw them in Vegas. Forgot about that.

Speaker 3: Was that Papa Roach or was that?

Speaker 2: going on with these legs, dude?

Speaker 3: It was Papa Roach. Okay, we were at a radio convention like a decade ago where that picture came from up there. And they had like these uh benches set up on carpet, right? And these benches are pretty light. I stood up just fine.

Yeah, it was most people do. I go to stand up and the bench comes out from under me. So in front of all the radio people hold on top of the curtain. Fell through a curtain. and Kobe's like, are you alright? Yeah, I guess me falling down that new of a thing.

Speaker 4: A cat invaded my apartment, Victor.

Speaker 3: A cat invaded your apartment. Whoa, dude, it's crazy. Okay, we can't wait to hear more.

Speaker 4: This uh this really friendly cat has been making its way around my building every so often. He'll just show up, want belly rubs, he'll nibble on your hand, whatever. But then he'll follow you too.

Like I was like, I gotta go to the gym, I gotta go. And the the cat will then kind of get scared by the car starting and then go back to its house across the street. Well, Saturday morning, I get ready for basketball, I open my door, I look down, all I see is this black shadow, and I jump.

I just I jump so I'm like, oh, and then the cat just lets itself in into my place and it's walking around, sniffing the furniture, sniffing the plants. I'm like, I'm like sounding like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Like, come on, Poncho, get out of the house. Come on. I'm full of cat right there.

I'm following it around. I'm like, do I grab like a water bottle and chuck it at it? Like, what do I what do I do to get rid of this cat? Pick it up. I don't want to pick up a cat. I don't really like picking up animals.

Speaker 3: That's a nice way to get it outside, Peaches. No, so rather than throw something at it.

Speaker 4: So I wanted to kick it too.

Speaker 3: No, you just pick up here, little kitty, and you pick it up and you just send it out.

Speaker 4: The cat was just going around my crack, my great, do I have to adopt this kit? This cat now.

Speaker 3: Well, you sent Becca and me a Snapchat of it, but I I think at the time I couldn't hear the audio. And later Becca thought you were like babysitting a cat.

Speaker 4: No, I was like, come on, let's go out the door. Like, I'm like talking all sweet to it.

Speaker 3: So I assumed then that the plant that got knocked over in the other photo, I thought the cat did that.

Speaker 4: No baby sitting. Fell over. It's been that thing was leaning to one side, like the leaning tower of Pisa. And then I would hear like a doo-doo, doo-doo every so often my grave goes the plant again. And so I said, enough's enough. And so I I was gonna talk about that in a different break, but you know, like the cat was making its way around the apartment.

Finally, it leaves. And I and of course, uh I as soon as I sent that Snapchat to everybody. Um everyone's like, oh, that's the cat distribution system choosing you. I'm like, I decline. I'm like, oh, I'm like, I'm gonna call the shelter and have this thing taken away.

Speaker 3: Well, and you you said you saw where it lives across the street. So you know it has a home.

Speaker 4: And but it has no collar on. And I'm like, if you're gonna have a pet, make sure there's a collar on your cat, especially with the cat that lives outside.

Speaker 3: I know, I don't lose because that's how you end up with a cat being turned into the shelter, then you go, where's my cat? And then you have like a week's long search and come to find out that the cat's been you know in the shelter this whole time.

Speaker 3: Well, I think all my cats are microchipped. I think good.

Speaker 4: But I this one looks like somebody's pet. It's well, it's well fed. It's not fat, but it's like the the the fur is definitely like brushed and all of that. Like it's definitely somebody's pet.

Speaker 3: Yeah, cats are friendlier than people think because like um, even though I've got the four wandering around that you think would keep all other cats away, like they're the few cats that will just come hang around with my cats in my yard.

Speaker 4: Uh well, because they know that you're a carer of cats.

Speaker 3: Yeah, and so I constantly have to check my garage for cats because neighbor cats will get stuck in there and things like that, and open it up. I'm like, Grim, go home. Because I know some of the cats and talk to their owners and like, all right.

Speaker 4: Yeah, I wish I knew the name of this one, but uh, I was like, there's no way I'm adopting a cat, especially right before I leave for like a week to go home and all of that. And I don't want people coming in to cat sit, you know.

Speaker 3: Yeah, no, you gotta have some time to acclimate, you know. I'd give yourself a pretty good amount of time at home.

Speaker 4: I was really sad about that tree falling over, too. About the your plant? Yeah, my plant, yeah. I bought that like a few years back at Costco for like 11 bucks. It was rather pretty back then. It was really like the leaves were all nice and big and green and everything. I watered it once a week and it was doing just fine. And I think this summer, it survived the winter. I thought it was gonna be really, really bad during the winter. No, it was just fine.

As soon as it got to like boiling hot. Yeah. And my building also got the same treatment. Um, that's when it started to droop. And I was like, you know what? I'm gonna take it to the patio. Pick it up, put it out in the patio. Sure enough, it starts to droop more. Yeah. And then I was gonna blame the lawn mowing company.

I'm not gonna say their name because I think they're they they advertise within the building. But uh all of a sudden, like, you know, they're mowing the lawn, and I I'm I'm they're mowing the lawn like right as I get home one day, and I pass by the patio on my way to the front door, and I see it's uh on its side completely. Uh-oh mulch all over the patio. I'm like, oh great. So I had to pick it up, put it back in.

I thought it might have been the wind, but no, it's just because it's leaning to one side, it would just habitually fall over. And so then I was like, you know, enough's enough as of yesterday. So I already was listening to sad songs, trying to clean my place up.

Speaker 3: I carry it and I go, goodbye, plant, and I throw it in the dumpster, and I'm like, oh, teary-eyed, like there goes another possession. Well, if it makes you feel any better, me and Becca spent a bunch of money on flowers and things earlier in the year, you know, back May or so. And because we've been pummeled with extreme heat, like my front driveway gets so hot. Um, pretty much everything that was out there, even though we were watering like crazy, it just would dry up so fast. Like almost everything just died.

Speaker 4: And this was like a certain tie to like a specific person that I was like, this is like the last remaining thing. So into the dumpster. And so I was just like really sad about it. I felt like John Wick when his dog was killed. Okay, you know, I was like, I need to go on a rampage, put on my best suit, just find out who did this. Oh, but wait, it's me who you know, threw the plant away. I have no hook for this.

Speaker 3: You never got three seconds. I've been contemplating making this post the whole summer. There we go. All right, what mystery post does peaches want to make.

Speaker 4: I I haven't posted anything on my social media profile since May, and I've also been in hiding this entire summer, too. Pretty much, yeah. Yeah, like I I other than being forced to show up to work events because I'm forced to go to those. I have to show up. Otherwise, I would have been no, no, not doing that.

I'm getting my growth, I got my groceries delivered all summer. I'll continue to do that, by the way. Because it's it's amazing. I I love the fact that I'm not able to, I'm not, I don't really need to go into uh Walmart and go around everybody making race car noises going, you know. I'll I'll sometimes go into like Fred Meyer or Winco early in the morning to grab one of those like a mushroom elixir drinks. Yeah, but I'm not going around shopping because I'd much rather just have the groceries delivered to my front door, yeah, like a like an upper class guy, like Josh Tyler, you know. But uh yeah, I've been avoiding the public. I've been going out to like you know, like the the green belt late at night, my friend Brian's neighborhood up in the hills late at night because I've been trying to like lose all this weight. Yes, and as of course you saw on the Snapchat, you said good job to it. Was I lost I've now lost 51 pounds. So I'm hoping to where's the upgrade for you, buddy? I didn't, I thought it was I thought it was ready.

Speaker 3: I love how he clapped it I was like, wow, Victor's all supportive, and then I see him race towards the soundboard. Yeah, for some reason I can't find no good for you right now. But anyway.

Speaker 4: But yeah, I started out at 399. I'm now down to 348. At first, there we go. we go. At first, when I weighed myself, it said 342, and I was like, there's no way I lost eight pounds in a week. I'm like, I know I've been eating less, but not that less. Yeah, I'm not barfing my guts out. Go, am I pretty yet?

Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, that's a serious problem. No, kid. If you're dealing with an eating disorder, make sure to get in and get some help people. Help is out there.

Speaker 4: Absolutely. But uh, you know, I was like, let me weigh myself again. And I step on it a scale the second time, and then I hear like a and then it goes to 348. I hear like a little bit.

Speaker 3: Was there like something stuck in it?

Speaker 4: Must have been some must have been something below one of the little things. Because I was like, there's no way it's at first, it said like 324, 339. And I was like, there's no way I lost this much weight that fast. I mean, I plan on getting there.

Yeah, yeah. But you're supposed to lose like two pounds a week. To be like healthy, to be healthy, like that's actual fat that you're losing, and not like so, not water weight, but you're supposed to wake up. So I wake up Sunday morning. I I I'm already have all my clothes off because I was sleeping naked.

And I go to use the restroom. Think about it, everybody. Yeah, think about just that tortoise out of its shell looking body. The naked mole rat, you know, Rufus from Kim Possible or the Mike from Recess, you know. But anyway, so uh I I have I can't even get the sound of my headphones in. Vessel's a fan. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3: Are you happy thinking about you know, peaches 50 pounds down, sleeping naked? Well, yeah.

Speaker 4: Tobias was also in the same weight loss journey, but he failed. So when he saw my results, he went. It's just so stupid. But I I've been uh like trying my best to secretly like hide a workout and then like uh just pop up out of nowhere. Yeah.

And I haven't posted anything since mid-May. Yeah. And also like it was it was not only weight loss, it was going to a counselor, revamping the whole apartment, doing all of this stuff like all summer long. Midlife crisis. Yeah, sure. You know, because I'm approaching 30 this Saturday, so it's definitely midlife crisis. So I'm like, you know what? I want to enter a new decade as a different person kind of thing. So I want to be a better person, kinder person, all of that. So I've been doing a whole lot of like self-reflection and all that stuff, and you know, that whole thing. And so I've been like go, I I've been well, I plan on making this post this weekend, or not this weekend, maybe like next week after the California trip's all done and over with.

And I was gonna make this giant lawn caption about what exactly I've been doing. Because, you know, most people who have me on social media, they don't listen to listen to us here on K-Bear. They don't listen to the podcast at all. They just follow me on there. Yeah, and is that that

Speaker 3: you know, book you were showing me

Speaker 4: the other day that you were writing? That was just me rambling my thoughts, and so I'll make it tighter and better. And I I I honestly plan on going to my counselor Wednesday with this printed out. Okay. And go, hey, what do you think of this?

And because I'm trying to word it to where it's not gonna like insult somebody or be taken in an insulting way. That can be tough. And so it's gonna be more so like I took the advice and I went along with it. You know, and I plan on carrying that.

Speaker 3: I'm so much better than all of you. My name is Peaches. Look at what all I've been doing while you sat around mowing down summer beers and eating burgers and pizza, getting fat.

Speaker 4: I I turned into a hydro homie.

Speaker 3: I told you I was gonna turn into a hydro homie, but the temperatures have come down, so I don't feel so dehydrated anymore.

Speaker 4: Oh man, it's it's uh it's been it's been yeah, rather easy to give that stuff up. The only problem is that sometimes I'll cry up a cheeseburger. Well, heck yeah. And I plan on having a good amount of those in California. Um Vessel loves a good burger. I plan to go to In N Out multiple times. I'll definitely get you a shirt.

Speaker 3: Yeah, I missed out on In N Out thanks to uh the Arctic Circle story we told earlier.

Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe if you went to Indian, I wouldn't have passed out.

Speaker 3: It would have been so much worse if it happened there.

Speaker 4: Giant long caption explaining like what exactly I've been doing and everything, so that'll get posted at some point uh next week. My I'll break my uh social media hiatus if anybody actually cares about that.

Because you know, like influencers will do like this lengthy YouTube video. Yeah. I I was like, I'm not gonna sit there in front of the webcam. Just like sort of like tearing up. I've lost 50 pounds. You want to see?

You should do it. I just start crying in the you just start commenting all this horrible things in the comment section. Be a man. My friends Bryson and Charlotte, they have been making fat jokes non-stop, like as a complete nut. Like I told them like it's totally fine, you can do so.

Yeah. Because I told I I wore a shirt for the first time in a long time. And they were making a joke saying, Looks a little snug.

I would suggest going against wearing this. It's like your new nickname's Tubby McFatface, and like they're like calling me like all these fat names and like insulting me at Olive Garden out of all places. Nice. And the family in the booth next to us is like looking all appalled that these two this couple is just sitting there at the other in the booth across from me, going, Don't you dare order any pasta dish, you fat so get the chicken with the broccoli and the tomatoes, and that's what I got. They're like, lay off the breadsticks, we need some too. Don't tell and then like we said, because the guy was saying, just say when for the cheese, and they're like, don't tell him that, because it'll be a mountain of check a mountain of whatever cheese it is.

Speaker 3: Nothing better than making them just awkwardly sit there and churn and churn the channel.

Speaker 4: Well, I was asking them too, because I was like, do you guys have like your own personal one? Like, do you have like your locker that has like your uniform and like your cheese grater or whatever? And they're like, no, there's actually a big tub of them in the back. And you can buy them for 20 bucks. Like you can actually just buy one of the cheese. It's good for any hard cheese, any soft cheese, not really, but we were talking to him about it because the guy, the guy was rather rather funny too. And I think he was also teaming up on me with the whole fat remarks because they're like, They're like laughing the fat guy. Because we told him to.

Speaker 3: That's the kind of service I'm talking about.

Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like, oh, I bet you wish we had the never ending possible still, huh?
