Rick: Welcome to Dutch Dialogues by Dutch Fluency! I'm Rick, and today Emma, Sophie and I are out for a walk talking about something pretty interesting we found in the news. Stick around to hear what we discovered!
Rick: "Hé, luister! Ik lees iets op NOS."
Emma: "Oh nee. Rick leest weer nieuws."
Sophie: "Haha, ja. Rick en zijn NOS."
Rick: "Nee maar serieus! Luister even."
Emma: "Oké oké. Wat is het?"
Rick: "Het kabinet wil minder verlof. Voor ouders."
Sophie: "Minder verlof?"
Rick: "Ja! Ouderschapsverlof. Minder dagen."
Emma: "Echt waar?"
Rick: "Ja echt. Typisch Nederland weer."
Sophie: "Hmm. Hoe bedoel je?"
Rick: "Nou, papa's krijgen minder vrije dagen."
Emma: "Oh. Dat is niet goed."
Rick: "Nee! De comments op NU.nl zijn nog erger."
Sophie: *lacht* "Jij leest de comments ook?"
Rick: "Altijd. Ik ben verslaafd, ik weet het."
Emma: "Haha, ja. Rick leest alles."
Rick: "Maar goed. Het is echt raar."
Sophie: "Wacht. Hoeveel dagen dan?"
Rick: "Uhm... minder. Veel minder."
Emma: "Dat is slecht voor mama's."
Rick: "Ja! En voor papa's ook."
Sophie: "Tja. Ik snap het niet."
Emma: "Ik ook niet."
Rick: "Typisch. Alleen hier gebeurt zoiets."
Sophie: "Nee joh. Dit is overal."
Rick: "Vind ik niet hoor."
Emma: "Ik ben het met Sophie eens."
Rick: "Oké oké. Maar het is wel gek."
Sophie: "Mm-hmm. Dat klopt."
Emma: "Wie beslist dit? Het kabinet?"
Rick: "Ja. Het kabinet zegt: minder verlof."
Sophie: "En de mensen? Zijn ze boos?"
Rick: "Heel boos! De comments zijn wild."
Emma: *lacht* "Jij en je comments."
Rick: "Nee maar serieus! Iedereen is boos."
Sophie: "Ik ook. Een beetje."
Emma: "Ik ook eigenlijk."
Rick: "Zie je? Ik heb gelijk."
Sophie: "Haha. Nou ja."
Emma: "Maar Rick, is dit nieuw nieuws?"
Rick: "Ja! Van vandaag."
Sophie: "Okay. Interessant."
Rick: "Gendergelijkheid, zeggen ze ook."
Emma: "Wat zeggen ze?"
Rick: "Het is een stap terug. Voor gelijkheid."
Sophie: "Dat snap ik wel."
Emma: "Ja, ik ook."
Rick: "Zie je? Het is echt een probleem."
Sophie: "Tja. Maar wat doe je eraan?"
Rick: "Uhm... de NOS lezen?"
Emma: *lacht* "Ja! Dat helpt zeker."
Sophie: "Haha, ja. Rick redt Nederland."
Rick: "Met mijn telefoon en NOS. Elke dag."
Emma: "Je bent gek."
Rick: "Maar goed geïnformeerd."
Sophie: "Dat is waar."
Emma: "Okay, ik geef je dat."
Rick: "Dank je wel."
Sophie: "Maar zet je telefoon nu weg."
Rick: "Oké oké. Eén minuut."
Emma: "Nee! Nu."
Rick: *lacht* "Goed. Hij is weg."
Sophie: "Mooi zo."
Emma: "Eindelijk."
Rick: "Maar morgen lees ik weer."
Sophie: "Dat weten we."
