Last time on Dodoborne. We find ourselves back at the adventuring guild. Okay, you three. So how much do you know about the Louvenhurst gang?
Annie Hawthorne:I've heard that name about three times the day before yesterday.
Isaac Allen Burns:Information I've been getting is that they've been recruiting pretty heavily from the refugees, particularly at the docks. And they have some kind of new tech that hasn't been seen before, underground Novocyte technology. I need somebody to get in there and figure out what they're doing and where their base operations is right now. You pick the right people.
Annie Hawthorne:I don't know how discreet I can be.
Isaac Allen Burns:You know, I do know some spells of the Book of
Joe Diametti:Cetyl, and it can change your appearance.
Annie Hawthorne:I think the only thing in my head is what's his name from the the manor? He's engaged to Scarlet. I think that's what
Joe Diametti:it works.
Isaac Allen Burns:Come on, Bartholomew!
Annie Hawthorne:And, like, turns to everybody and is like, how do I look?
Rowan Collins:Are you?
Annie Hawthorne:What? Did it work?
Rowan Collins:Wait. Are we talking the older brother?
Annie Hawthorne:Yeah. The older brother.
Rowan Collins:Benedict. Benedict.

Rowan Collins:You aiming to be Scarlet's betrothed?
Annie Hawthorne:Well, I don't know if I had an intention.
Rowan Collins:Well, on the plus side, you are very attractive. The other side, you're not really our type. But like,
Isaac Allen Burns:you, you look like a
Rowan Collins:spinning image of Benedict. Oh. So Hopefully,
Annie Hawthorne:that works. Do you think he knows people at the docks? Maybe he knows people at the docks and they can like pretend.

Joe Diametti:I'm gonna point to the mirror so you can go look.

Isaac Allen Burns:You go look in the mirror and sure enough, you are a spitting image of Benedict Zechthorn, that suave, nice individual that spoke with all of you, sorta tried to ease the tension between you and Scarlet. You look like, once again, a well dressed dwarven man, tall for a dwarf with fine features, a well groomed beard, smile that seems to fit perfectly on the face, and hair that is trimmed to match.
Annie Hawthorne:Wow. Hey. I wonder if Scarlet would talk to
Rowan Collins:me now. Prob probably.
Joe Diametti:Guys, quit. Don't Hey, Frank. What? I'm taller than you. Yeah.

Rowan Collins:I I think we can work with this though. I was talking to Hazel earlier today and apparently, we're moving, which is fantastic. We have more stuff. We're not all gonna
Isaac Allen Burns:be crammed on top of
Rowan Collins:each other in a giant sibling puddle, which was a little bit annoying and all that good stuff. But the whole reason is because Wally got a whole lot of money from the ducks.
Annie Hawthorne:Is your brother a gangster now? I don't know.
Rowan Collins:Yeah. Pistachio Hopefully a gangster.
Joe Diametti:So that's not our in.
Rowan Collins:Well, but I could ask my brother
Joe Diametti:if No. He could You can't ask.
Rowan Collins:Why can't I ask my brother?
Joe Diametti:Because if he's a gang member, what do you think he's gonna do after you ask him?
Rowan Collins:Take me along to say, like, okay. If I went up to my brother and I was like, Wally, I heard that you, have some good stuff on the dock and I'm not sure if this adventuring business is for me because my boss nearly died. And then, my best friend didn't talk to me for like two whole weeks. So I'm kind of regretting the whole like, adventure lifestyle. Could you go and take me along the docks?
Rowan Collins:Maybe I wanna do that instead. He's probably gonna be like,
Annie Hawthorne:oh, yeah, pistachio. That's totally fine.
Rowan Collins:And then I can go in and see it that way.
Isaac Allen Burns:Yeah. I think it's a totally good plan.
Joe Diametti:Okay.
Rowan Collins:And then, you know.
Joe Diametti:Yeah?
Isaac Allen Burns:Yeah.

Joe Diametti:Well, the gangster hideout.
Rowan Collins:Okay.

Joe Diametti:Best case scenario, he's part of the gang. Uh-huh. Worst case scenario, he's working at the dock, which is near where we know the gang hang at Hideout. Yeah. You're going to see where that leads.
Joe Diametti:Little Benny and I Okay. And Cerulean That's me. Are going to I'll be
Annie Hawthorne:honest too.
Joe Diametti:Hit the salty salmon. Okay. We are going to portray random patrons of The Joint Uh-huh. Gambling away and enjoying our evening. Uh-huh.
Joe Diametti:Once you find information Mhmm. You'll deliver that back to us, and we'll make our next move from there.
Rowan Collins:Okay. Okay. Okay. I I can I can do this? I can do this.

Joe Diametti:And as we go to leave, I wanna pull Pistachio aside for a second. Hey.

Joe Diametti:Yeah. And he pulls out a, like, a really crudely wrapped thing. It's, like, very obvious. It wasn't wrapped well. And it's just, like, with paper and there's, like, odd ribbon tied terribly on it.
Joe Diametti:And little Benny has already left at this point in Cyrillian. So yeah. I don't know. Here. Happy birthday.
Joe Diametti:And then I leave.
Rowan Collins:I think Pistachio likes little faces, like like, wells up with tears as I look down at this present, and they're, like, kinda, like, gingerly pull the ribbon off to see what it is.
Isaac Allen Burns:Pistachio Mhmm. Can you roll three d twelves for
Annie Hawthorne:me? Okay.
Rowan Collins:Do I add them?
Isaac Allen Burns:Yeah. Add them all together.

Annie Hawthorne:I think Craig notices this interaction from a distance.

Isaac Allen Burns:Oh, do you think we could go

Joe Diametti:Let's go abandon the plan that that guy said earlier,
Isaac Allen Burns:and let's go get a

Annie Hawthorne:I have an errand to run that I just remembered, but I'll meet you guys at the docks.
Joe Diametti:Craig, wait.

Isaac Allen Burns:Cerulean and Craig leave. The statue holding in your hands right now is a major attune potion. You gain plus one to your instinct until your next rest.
Rowan Collins:Oh. I think Pistachio, at this point, their little face tears up and like, they don't he like runs up behind Cappy and just like embraces him from behind.
Joe Diametti:The potion was in a pistachio shaped Oh my god. Which is why she bought it. Oh my god.
Isaac Allen Burns:That's too cute.
Rowan Collins:Yeah. Pistachio, a 100%, is running up and just, like, you know, gloms onto you from behind.

Annie Hawthorne:I don't know. I'm just walking through the market and trying to, like, find something.

Annie Hawthorne:I kinda ran out of the shop without paying, and I told them that Benedict's father would pay. And I'm not entirely sure if the shop owner believed me.
Rowan Collins:The goat. Is that a cruel way of saying fun?
Annie Hawthorne:I I don't know. It was a nickname, and then w and then I told them that my nickname was Dodo one. Oh. Which I think

Isaac Allen Burns:Julien kinda like nudges you, little Benny. He was like

Isaac Allen Burns:Of course, we're still friends. I don't know. I thought you avoided me for two weeks and I thought that it was because of that. But you just were looking for a birthday present when I got

Rowan Collins:like in my friend in a way an imaginary friend would be a friend. You're like a real person.

Isaac Allen Burns:Cerulean's just sort of clapping his hands and he's like,

Joe Diametti:I lean over to Pistachio. Mhmm. Yeah. The over excitement's a little annoying, isn't it?
Rowan Collins:I don't know what you're
Joe Diametti:talking about.
Isaac Allen Burns:You all head on out. Pistachio, you head to your new home, which Hazel thankfully gave you the address of off camera.
Joe Diametti:Mhmm.
Isaac Allen Burns:While Kathy, Crank, or should I say, little Benny and Cerulean head off to the salty salmon. Pistachio, you head to your new place. What does the new place look like?
Rowan Collins:So you said it was, like, in the nicer district. Not quite the manor District, but, like, the Merchant District, I think.
Isaac Allen Burns:Yeah. Kinda outside the Merchant District.
Rowan Collins:So I think it is above one of the stores. It's like a bakery below, so you can feel smell the wok fresh bread under it, like, pre furnished, so it has a lot of cool amenities. It has a couple of different rooms in it. There's a room for each one of us and track that goes up that allows for, almonds to go up the stairs without using her legs very much. Almost like an elevator, but like a magical Nice.
Rowan Collins:Flip. Yeah.
Isaac Allen Burns:For sure. Yeah. As we step inside, you see that your mother is there. She's currently in a wheelchair just so let her legs Still kind of working with her hands doing some doing some knitting, we'll say. It is the middle of the day and so your your brother does not seem to be there.
Isaac Allen Burns:But who is there is your father. He's taking the day off today and he's in the kitchen with another individual. There is another fawn that's in the kitchen with your father. He looks suspiciously kinda like your father, almost like they're brothers. What does this man look like and what's his temperament, if you don't mind me asking, Rowan?

Rowan Collins:I feel like Wally is a lookout on one of the docks. He's, like, standing supposedly inconspicuously and probably would be inconspicuous if you didn't know Wally in front of one of the, like, cargo ship containers. He's kinda, like, hanging out as casually as he possibly can. Just kinda, like, watching towards the docks.
Joe Diametti:Isn't there, like, a job in the navy where you have to, like, inspect the cargo as it comes in? Yeah. Yeah.
