We're gonna be taking a look at the top five use cases of Astra when it comes to computer use

I have never heard of that, but apparently it is a free online photo editor. I'll build a fictional Midnight Signal event poster from a blank canvas using bold type, color, and layered shapes

The finale is Blender, installing a desktop 3D studio, then building a model you can orbit and inspect on screen. This is useful for product mock-ups, video graphics, and visualizing an idea before making it.
For the model, I'm making a small orbital sculpture, a central sphere, tilted rings, and a display base.

So what are the implications of this? This thing can control a computer and a browser better than you can now, and it's not even close.
I had never heard of this application before, and if you had shown me this application an hour ago, I would have had no idea how to use it. I don't need to know how to use that because of Astra.
And it created this in seven minutes and 41 seconds
But there is more, and I'm standing back up for this one because I know really, you are only here for one reason, one use case above all the others.
Video editing
Tools like Descript make video editing so much easier than what it used to be, but it still takes hours
I'm currently creating six YouTube videos a week.
So now I want to see whether Astra can [00:05:00] replace my girlfriend, shout out Yassy, she's editing those YouTube videos for me at the moment, and I wanna see how
Astra goes about editing a video in Descript
This is a special one for two reasons. Firstly, I'm putting this mofo on fast mode.

What I've asked Astra to do here is to take a look at my computer history. That's also a plugin that you can go and turn on. And I'm asking Astra to go and basically look at every time that I've gone and edited in Descript and to figure out what my editing style is.
Yes, that is something that you can do
then as I've been training my girlfriend on how to edit my YouTube videos, I've been recording those and getting those transcripts So Astra is also going to take a look at those transcripts, matter of fact already has. My recent feedback is clear: lead with the outcome, tell the story visually for people watching muted and use zooms to emphasize something specific.
Astra was smart enough here to look at past standard operating procedures that I'd created [00:06:00] about editing and to figure out that my r- most recent feedback was more nuanced and it's decided to apply that instead
By the way, this video that I've asked Astra to edit,
the first few lines are me just doing retakes

it was trying to prompt Underlord, which is literally just the Descript AI editing agent that is native in Descript, and that would've been cheating.

And it's going through and individually applying each one and even listening to it

This one prompt got 1,250 followers in seven days. If you've been creating content for more than three months and you're still creating new posts, what are you doing? In this video, I'm going to show you the greatest content hack
So I asked it to look at my editing style. I've documented this extensively, and I'd say that
Astra could do the bare minimum there. It could remove the [00:08:00] word gaps, and it could remove the retakes, it could apply the captions, and it could resize my head, but it didn't go and actually move my talking head around and to create the same sort of motions that we just saw in the other YouTube video.
My verdict is that this can't use a computer faster than me if we're just going for raw speed head-to-head. But what if I don't understand an application? Because I've spent thousands of hours in Descript. I can use Descript very quickly, but I've never used Blender before, so it could definitely use Blender faster than me.
If you know how to use an app inside and out then yeah, you will be faster at using that, app than Astra. But if you have not used an app before, Astra is going to be faster and that's actually a pretty big deal Because
It raises a lot of questions like, should I even bother learning how to use apps anymore? That is a whole can of worms for another time
