What is Clydesdale Media Podcast?

We cover the sport of CrossFit from all angles. We talk with athletes, coaches and celebrities that compete and surround in the sport of CrossFit at all levels. We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.

Little did I know that a twenty five

year old Corey Leonard wished he would

never grow again.

So when that lunch bell ring, yeah,

you know what to do.

Hit play, stay strong,

let the ball carry you.

Clydesdale Cowboy, yeah, we stay on track.

Midday Kings of the mic, yeah,

we always come back.

Lunch with the Clydesdales.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time you press

call.

Lunch with the Pliesdale.

Cowboy bring the heat.

Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.

High-fiber hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate, tune in now,

you part of the fam.

It's lunch time.

It's beautiful.

Happy Friday.

It's so beautiful.

It is definitely Friday all day from the

morning all the way until tonight.

Yeah, and we talk about CrossFit music.

Music.

According to the Clydesdale singers.

We should really limit their alcohol

budget.

We really should.

During sessions,

like they can do whatever they want off

time, but like when they're on,

they're supposed to be on because the

slurring just kind of gets to me.

Uh, just Ramirez again,

associating food with every day of the

week is pizza Friday.

I mean, I ain't mad at pizza Friday.

Hey, you do you.

Yeah.

I mean, look,

I haven't eaten pizza is one of those

things.

Like even when it's bad, it's still pizza.

Yeah.

We, we talked about this.

It's yeah.

It's like sex when it's good.

It's really good.

And when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

Still pretty good.

Yeah.

Yep.

You know, the Clydesdale Singers,

I'm beginning to think we hired them out

of Penn State.

They would be a lot more hyperactive at

this point, I would think, anyway.

So I sent a thing to Vicky,

producer extraordinaire.

These people have come up with or rated

the best memes or the best sayings or

nicknames for the contingent at Penn State

who were selling cocaine out of their frat

house and forcing pledges to bag and cut

the cocaine.

I think they cut it before they bag

it, but yeah, I know what you're saying.

And, of course,

the big one and the most famous one

is Pablo Pledgescobar.

Pablo Pledgescobar, which is hard to say,

is outstanding.

He looks like Miguel.

What's that?

You cut out just for a second.

The dude looks like McLovin.

He does.

So much like McLovin.

One of the other ones,

and you don't have to pull it up,

Vicky.

The ones I want to talk about,

I can remember.

And then the other popular one is Snow

Paterno.

I do like Snow Paterno.

Snow Paterno rolls off the tongue.

There is one out there,

the eight one four snow plow club.

Yeah,

so the ringleader is the guy in the

middle and the top.

And he looks so much like McLovin.

If he put glasses on,

he would look like McLovin.

And that's really it.

That's really it.

He just needs glasses.

Yeah.

Look at that.

Look at that.

Yep.

There's McLovin.

Penn State has had an increase in

applicants in the last forty eight hours.

I tell you what,

it gives a brand new meaning to the

whiteout game.

Exactly.

So if you could skip ahead a few,

there's a couple duds in here to me.

You have the mighty Old Main Powder

Rangers.

The Department of Agriculture.

oh uh magna coke coke blauda yeah i

didn't like that one either but the eight

one four snow plow um i love the

picture of the snow plow with the chains

on the tires that's fantastic and mclovin

in the front seat this one killed me

the happy valley ski club

That's good.

The best one is the,

because Penn State is known for their ice

cream,

homemade ice cream made from the cows they

raise there because it is an agricultural

school.

The Creamery Cartel.

The name of the shop you can buy

the ice cream in is called the Creamery.

People travel from out of state to get

this stuff and to call it the Creamery

Cartel.

That one, I want a shirt made.

That's nice.

And line bagger you.

I mean, yeah,

I'm not mad at that one.

Well,

Penn State is known as linebacker you.

So linebacker you really, it's the.

Yeah, I like this from Ortega.

Someone said from Penn State to the state

pit.

There you go.

That's good stuff right there.

Penn State is my favorite football team.

I went a ton of times when I

was a kid.

My uncle graduated there, was a proud,

proud Penn State alum.

And I've been a Penn State fan my

entire life.

So I am proud.

I am proud.

And I know my boy Joseph is a

Penn State fan as well.

No paterno.

No paterno.

Man.

Yeah,

the whiteout shirts have a whole new

meaning now.

It's the whiteout game.

Oh, is it?

It is.

They travel out of state because it's got

a little extra.

Yeah, apparently,

maybe the creamery does add a little

extra.

That's why it's so popular.

That's a good point, Trey.

See,

that's a police officer thinking things

through.

A hundred percent.

She's got it together.

She's definitely got it together.

Yeah.

Good night.

There's people saying dude is going to

prison for a hundred grams.

Get those numbers up.

For real.

I mean,

you're going to go big or go home.

I think is what Ortega is getting across.

Talking about on the radio yesterday or

day before, whenever I heard about it,

and they were saying that like,

Like,

every stupid thing you could imagine to do

if you were planning on selling drugs,

they were doing.

Like, making pledges, cut and bag it.

Taking PayPal and freaking, like,

what's the other one?

Venmo.

Venmo, yeah.

Cash apps, like, for payments and whatnot.

So there's digital footprints everywhere.

Like, it's almost like a comedy of errors.

Like, how stupid they actually were.

It's surprising they didn't actually get

caught before they did.

And I think McLovin's dad is a like

big time power attorney in Pittsburgh.

And now he's wrapped up in this because

he helped with some of the cover up

stuff.

Yeah.

From what it sounded like,

they asked him like hypothetically.

Yeah.

Hypothetically, dad, if we were,

if someone would say selling cocaine from

a, I don't know, frat house,

let's just throw that out there.

Like asking him those kinds of questions

and he was answering them knowing full

well what's going on more than likely.

Uh, train says, uh,

maybe they just wanted better sleep and

haven't heard of Thursday.

Well,

I think cocaine has the opposite effect of

thirdsy.

But if you want to get the best

sleep and recovery tool in the business...

Let's say you've been busy selling

cocaine.

Yeah,

and you need to get rest that night

and recover from all the bagging.

Because that's a lot of repetitive motion.

It is.

And you need a good,

good night's sleep and recovery...

Go to thirdsy.com backslash Jazzy and get

fifteen percent off that thirdsy to help

you get that recovery or just use the

promo code Jazzy at checkout.

Get fifteen percent off and then you will

sleep like a baby tonight.

After a hard day's work of cutting and

bagging.

And I don't mean your lawn.

Negative, negative.

We're not talking about we are not talking

about cutting grass by any stretch of the

imagination.

That's a whole different thing.

Oh, that's good.

All the bagging,

all the bagging so much bagging.

I wanted to start off with like good

news because so we started with the Penn

State cocaine deal.

We did.

Yeah.

Bagging ain't easy.

You know,

one of my favorite movies of all time

is Hustle and Flow.

Oh, yeah, a hundred percent.

Because pimpin' ain't easy, you know.

You know, man, it's like a dog.

That's how the whole movie starts off.

Explain that to him.

It's hot out here for a pimp.

um the accent that he affected for that

entire movie was i loved it like it

was out it was he oh god that's

a i haven't seen it in forever i

need to watch it again and the um

other nerdy white guy from movies is in

that as well oh yeah and i think

he's actually in a movie called the other

guy right or

I know his name and I can't think

of it right now,

but I know exactly what you're talking

about.

Yeah.

That movie.

Like every time it's on, I stop.

Yeah.

That's another one.

If I happen to see,

if I'm flipping through for whatever

reason.

Yeah.

I will want to represent stop on hustle

and flow.

I haven't seen it in quite some time.

Yeah.

So Penn state is in the mountains.

Right.

And so it's known for its powder.

Now it's known for its powder.

Powder.

Powder.

Yeah.

Thirdsy needs to clip that.

Maybe not, Carolyn.

Yeah, I'm just, as I was saying it,

I'm thinking Adam's probably up there

cringing.

Yeah.

Why do you need Thirdsy?

Yeah, maybe not associate us with that.

Yeah.

Um, but on another note and not,

not so funny,

one of my favorite people in the CrossFit

space is a woman named Helen Taylor.

Okay.

She runs core city CrossFit kids in

Detroit, Michigan.

She's been featured on several podcasts in

the space, including our own.

She created a safe space for the inner

city youth of Detroit to come work out

and

And she did it in collaboration with, um,

with the police force and police officers

are there and they would work out with

the kids.

Hell yeah.

She has to close it down.

What?

Yeah.

Funding.

She just said a myriad of things as

they grew bigger and bigger,

the complications got greater and greater

and, and, and,

And it's wearing and tearing on her.

I have a clip that I sent to

Vicki with a timestamp from our interview

with her when Jamie and I had Thursday

night CrossFit talk before we added

Carolyn and went to Sunday night CrossFit

talk.

But if Vicki can pull that up,

that'd be awesome.

Here we go.

And again,

we don't have the volume on this.

When Vicki shares, I need to, uh,

Hey Vicki,

send the link in the private chat real

quick and I'll pull it up.

I remember this.

Yeah.

She's a master's at, um,

let me get it to the right space

here.

Oh,

There we go.

So one of the things that I really

wanted to learn is why were you trying

to do this in Detroit?

Was there an end goal to this?

Was it a community that needed a CrossFit

kids program for some reason?

Well,

I knew that after COVID that the kids

in Detroit had been in quarantine the

longest.

So it was, COVID really,

really hit the black community pretty

severe.

And the kids in that community were at

home the longest, missing out on sports,

missing out on physical fitness.

And I grew up in Detroit,

so I felt like it was something that

I needed to do and wanted to just

use my experience and use my love of

CrossFit and my love of kids to try

to make a difference and just get kids

out of the house and just try to

get fit and healthy.

So that's why she did it.

She's an amazing, amazing human being.

I remember that interview.

Carolyn said she did such great work

there.

Most people in the CrossFit space know of

this woman and what she was doing.

And a lot of like...

A lot of big time athletes were helping

her out where they could.

Showing up, meeting with the kids,

giving them like clothes that they got or

shoes that they got from their sponsors to

help out.

Every year she did a backpack drive for

the local community so that kids had

backpacks full of school supplies on their

way to school.

on their way to school, going into school.

And so that's the last thing they're doing

this year is one last backpack drive for

the kids of Detroit to make sure that

they have school supplies and something to

carry those in to school going in this

year.

And she gets two thousand ish backpacks

every year.

Donated and then gets them off.

I'm just it breaks my heart that because

of red tape and funding and all of

those things that someone that's doing so

much good has to go through so much

to do it.

And because of that,

she has to shut it down.

one would think that seeing the impact

that it's having and seeing that,

you know, how it's positively,

positively affecting lives and children

and whatnot, you know,

especially in areas like that,

that are absolutely underserved,

that they would,

people would make it easier for her to

do that kind of stuff instead of make

it more difficult.

But unfortunately that is the world that

we live in sometimes.

If I remember correctly,

Helen is a former masters games athlete.

Um,

She's really good at what she does.

And what I should have done is had

her and Jamie do a flex-off.

I was about to say,

that was a whole-ass gun show going on

the entire time.

Good night.

Yeah,

there was a whole lot of muscle on

that interview, and it wasn't mine.

Jamie would have had to run for her

money.

The woman's got some solid biceps going on

there for sure,

shoulders and all that good stuff.

But there was a documentary done on her

and that organization and everything.

And when you see the cops in full

uniform doing pull-ups with the kids and

doing burpees with the kids and the

interaction that they created was just

amazing.

Because, you know,

there's this narrative that the police are

bad, right?

And when you see,

when you as a child get to meet

a police officer and get to work out

with them and you get to struggle with

them,

like it just creates a whole new respect

and understanding of what you both are

going through.

Yeah.

understand that they're people too and

they actually do care about you and they

actually do want the good things for you

and all that good stuff yeah that's that's

a shame that that's that's going away

that's terrible yeah and my buddy matt

shingledecker up here in ohio in the upper

northwest uh he has that program where

they take kids in detention centers and

bring them in and re rehab them through

crossfit and they work out with their

probation officers like

it's a thing that makes a difference and

i know him and helen worked together like

he probably was there trying to help her

figure out a way uh to do all

these things um it's just it's so sad

i know and jamie was a big proponent

of this program she's in michigan she's

not that far away i think she's been

to their facility um so it it just

sucks

It's amazing what physical fitness in and

of itself will do for people, right?

The mind-body connection type deal.

You start working out,

you start suffering,

and you start seeing what your body's

capable of,

and it can lead you in different and

a lot of times better directions.

ex-wives.

So my, my former mother-in-law, I got, uh,

she's got two sons and to keep them

out of trouble when they started to become

teenagers and started having threatening

to be in trouble,

she got them both gym memberships and they

went all in like to the point where

my former brother-in-law Paul was benching

like three fifty three seventy five at one

point, like doing bodybuilding type stuff.

And it kept them from doing dumb shit.

period yeah end of story like they spent

their time over there instead of spending

their time running the roads doing doing

doing stuff like that and programs like

hers were doing a lot of the same

things and like once you started getting

into that you realize that oh yeah no

there's this whole other thing of positive

stuff i could be doing instead of just

you know not

i hate to say something i grew up

in the woods in the middle of nowhere

right like but i had a y membership

because of my swimming life right and and

my parents were i'm putting you in every

activity i can put you in to keep

you busy yeah right so i had the

y membership and the swimming but then i

also played football i also played

baseball i also ran track you know and

every other like camp that came up we

were going to check that out like

Doing that physical activity every single

day of your life is good for you.

We know that in this world,

but it needs to be pushed into other

circles that don't know the importance of

it.

Another thing that she talked about in

here,

she moved from South Detroit to North

Detroit.

In that move,

went to talk to the high schools and

everybody to get the kids into the

program.

Nobody had heard of CrossFit.

Yeah, I'm sure.

This is twenty twenty one.

Nobody knew what CrossFit was that she

talked to, which is just mind boggling.

That's the problem we have with CrossFit

right now.

Nobody, unless you're already in the club,

you don't know about it.

We've had this discussion several

different times.

Every time they start advertising to us,

hey, bro, we already know.

Show that to other people besides us.

I'm not going down that road again.

It just makes me mad.

Yeah.

So there's that.

The other thing that came out yesterday

that I didn't send to Vicky,

Proven's team was half an ounce,

just like the Brute team was half an

ounce for the SoCal.

And if you didn't see it,

it is Olivia.

It is Kyra.

And it is, I believe, Ricky.

But we know Colton's going to be there

because he said it.

I was about to say,

can we just pencil in Colton?

He already kind of confirmed that.

Love that, dude.

There it is.

Yep.

Yeah, just right there underneath.

I mean, either one of the ladies.

Somebody just go ahead and write Colton.

And under the other one,

you can probably put Jay.

Okay.

I would say so.

Because if Ricky's going, Jay's going.

And if Jay's going,

I can tell you the third girl's probably

Maddie.

I would venture a guess.

I would venture a guess.

Danny Spiegel?

Hmm.

So I didn't see that.

I'm sorry, Lito.

No, I didn't either.

I didn't look to see who the new

invitees were today.

The Rogue point system goes back five

years.

Oh.

So if you've done anything in the last

five years with any kind of great finish,

and Danny always does well at Rogue

because it's heavy.

It's power.

It's strength.

Strength and power base.

And we've said it a million times on

the show.

She is super athletic.

She's fun to watch, dude.

She is.

She's fun to watch.

Her other nonsense aside,

she's fun to watch when she gets on

the floor.

You're going to want to see what she's

doing,

regardless of whatever else you might

think about her.

Yeah.

She's fun to watch when she gets on

the floor because she does crazy shit from

time to time, and it's entertaining.

So good for her.

Every time they do the duel,

I am all in.

Oh, hundred percent.

And she is incredible in the duel.

Yeah.

Well, I mean,

it's made for somebody with her skill set.

It's made for somebody with her skill set.

So good on her, dude.

And I'm sure her American Gladiator points

are probably factored into the new Rogue

scoring system.

If not, they should be.

I mean, I feel like that's valid.

You know what I mean?

Good on her, dude.

Good for her.

Rogue is always entertaining to me.

Rogue is fun to watch because it's Rogue.

Because of the things that they do.

Because in between events,

they're showing us the strongman stuff.

They're turning the wheel of time or

whatever the hell that thing's called.

They're doing all the crazy strongman

shit.

Was it last year that they had the

CrossFit people grabbing the weight and

going up the steps with it?

That was...

As ridiculous as it looks before they get

started,

once they actually get on the floor and

go to doing it,

that had some drama in it.

That was fun to watch.

That was entertaining as shit.

I like Rogue.

it's The Wheel of Pain.

And it's from Conan the Barbarian.

I know it's from Conan the Barbarian.

Do not mix it up with The Wheel

of Time.

Like some stupid Nicole Kidman movie.

No,

The Wheel of Time is actually a whole

other thing.

Anyway, believe me, I know all about my...

What is best in life?

I will not have Conan the Barbarian

What is best in life?

In a time where magic ruled the land.

Yes.

Another one of my.

One hundred percent.

Eighties movies that I will watch every

single time.

Get out.

The water is rising.

Get out.

That's actually from Red Sonja.

You really want to know the truth about

it.

Which is in the.

Conan universe.

So we're okay with that.

One hundred percent.

Whether it's stated or not.

It's one hundred percent in the Conan

universe.

Early Schwarzenegger.

He played Conan in every movie.

I don't care what anybody... Yeah,

and I will argue with anybody who says...

His name was not Conan and Red Sonja.

I'm aware.

I don't care.

He was still Conan.

Lito says, I don't know,

unpopular opinion maybe,

but it'd be nice to see some new

faces.

We're only getting people going.

It's their party.

It's never going to be a new face

thing.

And they need to...

they need to just acquire points like

rogue does it?

It's a point system.

Like you want to see some new faces

cool looks back five years.

So to be a new person,

you're gonna have to put in time earning

points, right?

Get into the discussion.

Absolutely.

There we go.

Mark Phillips, Robert Jordan books,

he knows about the wheel of time.

Our fellow nerd right there.

Some would say rogue is more exciting than

the games.

Some would.

I wouldn't.

But, I mean, some would.

American Gladiator,

still more fun than the twenty-six party

trick games.

What?

First of all, American Gladiator,

the new version was not good.

The old version was awesome.

Danny and Bailey were the only things

worth watching in the new one.

Yeah.

The whole like immediate disqualification

bullshit they tried to pull this year.

Also,

I thought the twenty six games were great.

I was there in person.

I loved it.

The vibes were awesome.

Say what you will.

That forward roll backward roll was

exciting to watch.

And, you know,

and it gave us the opportunity to see

Pat do one last fall.

no he that was more than one last

fall i think he fell three times there

he fell twice for sure i love it

because after the last one he said that's

how you fall off the rings if anybody

wants to know like he's been holding that

secret since when he was first on showed

up on a team but he just let

that everybody know that's how you

actually supposed to fall off the rings

thanks patty yep

I think he did it on purpose a

couple of times,

just like he was old shoulders.

You know what?

I'm just watch this.

I'm just going to fall.

I'm just, I'm tired.

I think he got into it and was

like, I'm not going to pull this off.

So I'm just going to drop.

I'm tired.

I'm just going to fall off the rings.

I'm just not even going to try to

save it and just go hit the ground,

run it.

Well, hit the ground, hitting flat,

whatever impacting.

Oh, anyway.

It was not awful on TV.

We're going to agree to disagree on that

one.

I watched it all on TV.

It was good to watch.

As good as any other games.

Yeah.

Yeah.

The Rogue did announce their workouts for

the Q.

They're only taking three people this

year.

Last year, they only took one.

I want to say something like that.

Years previous, they took five.

yeah i'm gonna tell you right now i

won't be one of the three i looked

at the queue and i'm like oh no

thank you that's okay like the first one

is like a whole bunch of it's like

a mini dt yeah but with two twenty

five uh i would the weights are different

for each movement oh okay yeah it's like

uh

I don't know.

I sent it to Vicki.

I don't know what she's mopping her screen

or something.

I don't know what she's doing in the

background.

It's Friday.

She's already shut off for the week.

She's she looks like she's having an

animated conversation with somebody we can

not see that is for certain with me.

No, not with me.

Oh,

I just said crash is going to have

live scoring.

Well,

with Competition Corner doing the live

scoring stuff now,

if you use their scoring system,

you can use their live scoring system for

free.

That's what Syndicate Crown did last year.

So there's workout one.

Deadlift is three, sixty-five, two,

seventy-five.

The front squat is two, seventy-five.

And the big fat cursors in front,

two hundred.

And the three squat cleans are two,

twenty-five, one, sixty-five.

Oh,

this is not the workout I was looking

at then.

Not for row.

I was like,

I had to work out for something completely

different.

Work out to some right hand snatch,

some box step overs,

some left hand dumbbell snatch,

and then dumbbell walking lunges at

seventy fifty and twenty four twenty.

And then the final workout is thousand

meter row.

I think it's seventy five toes to bar

twenty five wall facing handstand pushups

twenty five or twenty bar muscle ups and

then twenty five wall facing handstand

pushups.

That is a gymnastics event right there.

That is I like it.

I like to see it.

That is heavy heavy gymnastics.

Wow.

Joey Perez says J.R.

said syndicate wants to have masters next

year.

Oh, you just got my attention.

I just want to see Syndicate actually do

an event next year.

Yeah, a hundred percent.

Joey, where, where, where was that at?

Where was JR saying that at?

Jared has been everywhere lately.

He has been.

And that's why I don't know.

There was a shut up and scribble.

I'm assuming there was the other night,

like last night or the night before last,

something like that.

I remember when he saw,

he says they're playing on shut up and

scribble this week.

So, okay.

Let me finish the Joey thing before I

get, get to Ed's thing.

Um,

if syndicate is going to do masters for

an end for in person,

That would be a really,

really difficult sell for me to decide

which one to go to between that and

Magic City because I had a blast at

Magic City.

It was very, very well programmed.

Everything ran like spot on on time.

The work,

like the warm up area was outstanding.

I mean, it was.

Can I just jump in here real quick?

Yeah.

let's woe the horses because we don't even

know what next season looks like.

I know.

Like we don't even know if we're in

person semifinals or if we're even doing

for elite athletes anything.

We have no idea what the season structure

for next season is.

Which is also frustrating.

It is.

It is.

At the end of August, dude,

how do we know when the Open starts,

but we don't know anything else about it

yet?

That's annoying to me.

If you're going to announce the season,

let's announce the season.

What?

Again,

I just don't want you getting your hopes

up for a bunch of stuff,

and we don't even know what the hell's

going on.

That's annoying.

Barry McConner, twenty years,

they will figure it out soon.

Right.

And Ed said that this right here,

as far as the going back to the

real qualifier,

don't you have to show all your ways

for submissions?

That's a lot of way to show.

It's not just show your way for

submissions with Rogue or didn't used to

be anyway.

They want you to weigh your weight as

well.

You've got to put them all on a

scale,

which is going to take a hot minute,

especially for that first one.

But if you've done Rogue in the past,

that's just what you have to go through.

And it means you better clear all your

memory on your phone if you're using that

to record.

Yeah.

Because it's going to be forty-five

minutes of setup to do a ten-minute

workout.

That is bananas.

Crazy town banana pants.

Alito says she'd be more likely to come

over to the U.S.

for Syndicate than for the Bob and Joe

games again.

somebody else earlier i think uh mark said

that he was watching um grubbs podcast and

doesn't necessarily and got the vibe that

it might not be the bob and joe

show next year i'm gonna have to i

again i am not getting my hopes up

on any of this stuff i like now

i'm not saying i'm gonna get my hopes

up but i would like to go see

what what

what he's talking about, right?

Just go look and see what are they

talking about to see how he got that

vibe to see if it makes any kind

of sense whatsoever.

Because I do feel like for whatever

reason,

Jason gets inside information that other

people don't get.

So here's what I'll say.

I love Jason Grubb.

I have great conversations with him when I

talk to him.

I've had him on the show a bunch

of times.

I think he's great.

But he likes to let people know or

likes people to think he knows all the

inside information.

Yes.

But with that, the frustrating part,

and it's fine.

Get all the inside information you can.

Go for it.

But don't talk for the rest of the

Masters community.

No, please don't.

You are different.

You have sponsorships.

You have a major company.

You're a sponsor of events.

You do not represent the rest of the

Masters community.

No.

He's a whole different machine.

I love him to death.

But his situation is unlike almost every

other Masters athlete.

Yeah.

My sponsors include Allstate Insurance and

Blue Cross Blue Shield of America because

that's where me and my wife work.

It's about as sponsored as I get.

It's about as sponsored as I get.

Every once in a while I get, oh,

I got it.

Okay.

I got a free pair of shoes,

but so did you.

So if you want to call that a

sponsored athlete,

let's go ahead and do that.

Joey Perez.

Says Boz and Chuck were at Magic City

last year.

They saw how well it went.

It was fantastic.

My counter argument to you is that Boz

and crew were at the Bob and Joe

games in both Alabama and in Columbus and

saw what a train wreck it was.

And yet they kept getting it.

So we did talk to Boz and he

was saying that they were one hundred

percent coming back here.

while we were in Birmingham.

Like he said that, you know, talk about,

Hey, we're going to use again next year.

That doesn't mean they get the games

automatically.

Oh, no, no, no.

I was just talking about the semifinals.

No, no, no.

Not,

not as far as the game is concerned.

I'm talking about like,

as far as in-person semifinals,

he was like, this is amazing.

Like, we're definitely going to do,

you know, looking at continuing this.

So yeah.

We'll see.

They are considering other comps.

Other comps to run the games or other

comps to include in the semifinals?

Because we've got two stories going at the

same time right now.

I would say probably both off the top

of my head.

I mean, if you've been paying attention,

if I am Dave or whoever is technically

in charge of handing out

you know,

semifinals and who's controlling the games

and whatnot,

and you're actually paying attention and

you actually give a shit,

then you have to take it into account,

right?

With the majority of the people who have

been there.

The first assumption in that statement is

that they're paying attention.

I'm aware.

That's why I led with that.

That is why I led with that.

Thank you, Scott.

I agree that Grubb doesn't talk for all

of us.

No.

No, he doesn't.

Good enough dude, I am certain, but not...

Well,

he has different interests because he's in

a different...

economic stratus than the rest of the

masters athletes.

Aside from the fact that he actually has

like sponsors, right?

Actual sponsors that, that, you know, um,

he owns Boulder athlete.

He's he took his at him, you know,

teen straight championships and he

capitalized on it and made a company that

is thriving.

That is awesome.

Yeah.

Right.

hundred percent but like again that's in

in good on him you know uh kudos

to him if i had won fourteen in

a row i wouldn't be doing the same

thing right now right but that does you're

not the same species as everybody else

when it comes to that you're just not

So you're the start of your premise was

that if they're paying attention,

Carolyn has been noticing since the games

in this dead period of media with nothing

going on at all in media, right?

Truly nothing, nothing.

Yeah.

They put out a post about the adaptive

games like three days ago for the first

post after the games.

Now they're putting it.

They,

yesterday they did one on the master's.

An Instagram post, not a highlight reel,

not like, come on.

So there has to be so much footage

to like make some content to just put

out there while there's nothing going on.

We are starved for topics.

We've been talking about lanterns and

we've been talking about,

because there's no CrossFit to talk about.

That's a fact.

All you can do is have a

seventeen-year-old make a bunch of

highlight reels from the events that

occurred the same week as the games,

Adaptive Teen Masters,

and put out some content.

Of which you have plenty exist.

You should have a shit ton of content

available to choose from.

So your premise that if you're paying

attention and if you give a shit.

Oh, yeah.

That's why I lid with this, dude.

Vinny Gambino would say,

does my theory hold any water?

You have to say it with the accent.

My New York accent isn't there right now.

No, mine is not either.

I can't do it.

But you're not wrong.

You're not wrong.

The two Utes.

The two Utes.

I'm sorry, are you saying Utes?

No, your theory doesn't hold water.

Are you saying Utes?

Yeah, the two Utes.

I just watched that movie like three

nights ago.

That's another one that if I pass by

and it's a one, I cannot, I cannot.

A hundred percent.

Uh, cocaine, skiing, Skittles, accents,

rails gone.

And that's why we love this show.

And just because we're on that track right

now, Marissa told me,

Marissa told me is probably a vampire

because she does not age.

Yeah,

because last night I was watching Captain

America Civil War, just a clip of it,

and Aunt May walked into the room,

and she looks just like Lisa...

What is it?

Oh, God.

What is her name?

Gosh darn it.

Anyway.

Yeah.

She looks exactly the same.

She has not aged in thirty,

thirty-five years or so.

It's ridiculous.

Also, yep, Paul Rudd.

Paul Rudd is like fifty five years old

and just got gray hair last week.

It's bananas.

Crazy.

Editing it and making it make sense.

Posting it is easy.

Making it and editing it isn't.

I don't disagree.

But Hercules was putting out reels and

shit during the games.

If you're going to if you're going to

let them be there and charge the athletes

what they charge them and whatnot,

then you should have access to their reels

and should be able to at least repost

that if nothing else.

That shouldn't be that difficult to do.

Or collaborate with them.

There's an idea.

Listen, Ortega's sitting there.

I've seen him at events put out reels

while we're sitting in the media room at

the event.

They've had a month.

A month.

There's a lot of hours in a month.

Several.

Several.

It's wild, dude.

hell i don't i don't even want to

i i've got to go i gotta drive

to pennsylvania

Because now I'm pissed.

Now I'm in the ramp mode,

and if I go off now,

it's going to be another twenty minutes.

I just like the fact that I know

why you're going to Pennsylvania,

and Vicky knows why you're going to

Pennsylvania.

You're like, I gotta go.

We gotta drive to Pennsylvania.

Everybody in the chat's going,

what the shit, dude?

How mad are you?

I don't understand what's happening.

Oh,

he's going to his mother's family reunion.

Yeah, because they're my family.

I'll leave that right there.

Scott's going to Pennsylvania to go to his

mother's family reunion.

Who happened to be my family as well.

And I might say they speak.

Yeah.

Yeah, going on a cocaine run.

Because that is what we led the show

off with in Pennsylvania.

We did start off with cocaine in

Pennsylvania.

Yeah.

And Happy Valley Ski Club.

Yes.

Just accurate at this point.

E-O-C-I-N-A-E in Pennsylvania.

Yes, Barry.

I hear there's an opening for the new

ringleader at Penn State.

That one percent is.

McLovin's awaiting arraignment right now,

I'm pretty sure.

Oh.

cleaner ingredients in pennsylvania hey

possibly possibly possibly but with that

uh i promised i'd take my mom to

her family reunion which in fact is my

family reunion as well i just can't where

are you going i'm going to my mom's

family reunion

oh is that not also just moms it's

just moms okay okay not a problem that's

fantastic yeah yeah phillips sounds like

he's

it's just dropping it off all right mom

you have fun i'll pick you up at

two i'll pick you up at two if

it starts to get kind of boring or

whatever just text me i'll come get you

before then not a big deal love you

mama swipes i know you're listening yeah

it'll take my mom till two to text

No,

I'm actually going to the family reunion

with her.

I'm going so she doesn't have to go

alone.

She shall take her family reunion alone.

By default, it's her family.

Therefore,

I don't think she'd be going alone.

Maybe that's just me, dude.

Just saying.

Be in the car like soccer practice.

Hey, mama,

I'll be down the road in the car.

Just...

Me, Joey,

and like three other idiots were just,

we could not,

it was not a good idea to leave

us alone during athlete briefing at

semifinals.

It's just not a good idea because as

soon as they'd say something,

we'd be like, really?

That's like saying I have a roommate.

You live at home with your mom.

Ma!

Meatloaf!

Meatloaf!

Ma!

Where's that meatloaf?

Where's that meatloaf?

You want some meatloaf?

Yes.

You guys?

Either one of you?

Meatloaf?

No?

I'm coaching.

If you hear choruses coming,

it's probably an Amish drive-by.

I will be in an area of Amish

population, yes.

Your family's in...

excuse me your mom's family's in amish

country is that is that really a thing

well not where my mom lives is not

but where we're going to is more amish

area there's lots of there's pockets is it

so are y'all doing a born raising no

how do you know we're competing with the

amish coke ring at penn state

Like, how do you even know?

You're bringing your mom to her family

reunion.

Maybe y'all will be doing an

up-and-raising at that point.

Did you see what Vicky made me?

Oh, wow.

A Clydesdale four-plus-one jersey.

Four-plus-one.

You got to have it.

I did hear that the police are pissed

off because they're not known as Five-O

anymore.

They're known as Four-O.

Oh, that's different.

I like that one.

Barry,

he's not going to Amish Market in

Lancaster.

He's going to his mom's family reunion.

Like Joey says.

Pennsylvania is about eight hours from

where my mom is.

Pennsylvania is a wide state.

Kind of like my body type.

It's a hard hit right there.

Trafficking about horse buggy is still

illegal.

It's still legal.

No L in front of that.

Oh, I'm sorry.

I mean, that's my bad, dude.

That's a slip right there.

Extend my trip.

Extend your trip by two days.

No big deal.

No big deal.

Oh, that's good stuff right there.

All right.

Yeah.

Because with that,

we're licensed to ill and we're out of

here.

You wouldn't wait to get to the editing

room to jazz me up.

I'm already jazzy.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.
