We cover the sport of CrossFit from all angles. We talk with athletes, coaches and celebrities that compete and surround in the sport of CrossFit at all levels. We also bring you Breaking News, Human Interest Stories and report on the Methodology of CrossFit. We also use the methodology to make ourselves the fittest we can be.
Well, today's off to a roaring start.
Let's get this ball rolling.
From the gym to the screen, yeah,
we cover it all.
Midday motivation every time you press
call.
Lunch with the Clydesdale.
Cowboy bring the heat.
Crossfit, boobies, music on repeat.
Half hour hustle, yeah,
we building that brand.
Grab a plate, tune in now,
you part of the fam.
It's lunchtime.
Nailed it.
Finally got the yabba-doo.
Nailed it.
Now I got the timing down.
You know what that is?
It's very nice.
It's very nice.
We actually look like a show that's
prepared.
Almost.
I don't believe it.
It's not actually a thing,
but we look like it,
which is the important part of that.
Yeah.
It's,
it's all about the perception and the
appearance.
Cause yeah, whatever.
Hey dude, I had a,
when I was waiting tables forever ago,
I had a,
my floor manager stopped me and said,
slow down.
Cause I was running around like a crazy
person.
I was in the weeds.
Perception is reality.
Slow down.
You're going to be fine.
And I was like, okay, cool.
Just want to tell you guys,
before we even started the show,
it's been happening like this all week.
We get into story time before show time.
Before the show starts.
And one day it was Vicky.
One day it was me.
Today,
Corey started a story at twelve fifteen.
At twelve fifteen.
And if you have watched the show at
all,
Corey starting a story means we were going
to hit the air till about twelve twenty
five.
at least at least at least that's gonna
be a minimum because yeah and it's about
a movie so like a whole synopsis if
you haven't seen um hell or high water
it's a taylor sheridan movie which should
tell you a lot you need you know
all you need to know right there um
fantastic film chris pine um what is the
other guy's name uh ben foster
Or brothers.
The Indian chief from Yellowstone.
Yep.
He's a cop.
And what's his name?
The dude.
The dude.
Bridges, yeah.
Yeah, Bridges is it.
Or cops.
The other two are brothers.
They're robbing banks.
They're trying to catch them and whatnot.
And what I was trying to tell you
about is the two cops go into this
restaurant in the middle of Texas
somewhere, right?
Central Texas.
And this old lady comes up to him
who's waiting tables.
And she says, what don't you want?
And they kind of look at her and
she said,
we ain't never served nothing here but
T-bone steaks.
She said,
I've been working here for forty years.
We ain't never served nothing but T-bone
steaks and baked potatoes.
So you either don't want the green beans
or you don't want the corn.
So what don't you want?
it's it's what is the best one of
the best things in all of cinema that's
why i'm concerned just because like the
way she delivers it and the way that
they they react to it and whatnot and
uh like before that she had said she
said i'm gonna work in here nobody ever
ordered nothing but t-bone steak and
mashed potatoes except that one came down
from new york tried to order trout
We don't serve trout.
And when she finishes writing their stuff
down and walks off,
Bridges looks at old boy and says, well,
I ain't got to worry about this place
getting robbed.
It's fantastic.
And just like our show,
that has no connection to anything else we
were talking about.
Not at all.
Not at all.
I don't even remember why I was telling
you that right before we started.
I was trying to make the connection as
you were finishing up and I have not
made one.
Don't even remember.
Anyway, Hello Hot Water.
If you have it on one of your
streaming services that you use,
highly recommend watching that tonight.
You'll enjoy it.
So last night I tuned in to the
Glinton Things podcast.
Yep.
And Megan was not wearing black.
And in fact,
she was wearing a Clydesdale media shirt.
Oh, how about that?
In the brightest blue.
And she wasn't dressed as death.
It's kind of weird.
Clydesdale media shirt actually made her
look alive.
Are we sure it was her?
I was caught off guard.
I was caught off guard.
But really,
really appreciate seeing the Clydesdale
Meteor shirt in the wild.
I wore mine to work out one day
last week.
I don't know what day it was.
And she's back to black today.
She is now dressed as death again.
Every time I go,
if I go to a comp without my
wife,
I have one standing rule that she sends
me off with.
It's to not buy any more black t-shirts.
You know,
I make fun of her for that,
but my wardrobe is probably ninety percent
black.
If you open my t-shirt drawer in my
dresser,
you're going to find a lot of black
shirts.
Sometimes I can't even help it.
Like you sign up for a comp,
they give you a shirt.
A lot of times is black.
The craziest thing I got out of this
whole thing is I text her this morning.
I'm like,
I almost shed a tear when I saw
our shirt on you.
And she said, and I even showered.
So it not only made her look alive,
it inspired her to shower.
To just clean up a little bit.
How about that?
You're welcome, Joseph.
That's fantastic.
Yeah.
So yesterday, let's get into this.
We ended the show yesterday with the
clickbait that was Matt Frazier will be
competing again.
And then it started to roll into if
he did, in fact, compete,
which none of us are saying he is
going to do the games again.
Right.
None of us.
Um, no.
How would he fare if he in fact
actually did come back?
Yeah.
And I,
I am of the belief that he would
not be the Matt Frazier that we came
to know.
I,
I don't think he has it in him
to get to that point again in training
after having a couple of kids.
living a softer life and enjoying life
again,
I don't think it's in the realm to
get back to that dark place.
You need to be,
to be a Matt Frazier.
And I don't think,
I think he would have a hard time
making it to the games.
Let it,
if he did the people saying top tenor
out of their minds,
the people saying top ten after seven
years gone.
or seven seasons, let's say, right?
Cause it's been twenty, twenty,
twenty or out of their minds.
I'm sorry.
It's hard enough for people who train
regularly to make the games,
to continue to make the games.
And the dude was an absolute killer in
his time.
Like the most dominant athlete to do it,
not named Tia Claire to me,
by a stretch of the imagination.
If he was in the men's field,
he wasn't just winning.
He was winning by hundreds of points over
everybody else.
I mean, for Christ's sake,
when it was just five of them,
he had enough points to win first,
second and third.
But it ain't going to happen.
And then the other factor I think that
people aren't putting into this,
look at the evolution of the programming
from just from twenty twenty to today.
Yeah.
How much more power output there is,
how much more size matters.
And I don't know if people remember Matt
Frazier was not big.
He's my size.
Right.
Like he's just a tick taller than Colton.
He's Matt,
Matt Fraser and I are almost the exact
same size.
He is a hell of a lot strong
or was anyway.
I have no idea what his strength numbers
look like now.
I'm assuming they're pretty good,
but five foot six,
one hundred ninety ish pounds,
something like that.
When he was competing,
he was he walked around at one ninety
five, not quite two hundred.
And.
Right.
I don't want to say that these are
the guys my size winning or over with,
but right now, that's not the trend.
Right now, you got the Dallin Peppers,
the James Spriggs,
the Jason Hoppers that are the big guys,
man.
They are big dudes,
and they figured out how to move.
Adler made the comment recently how hard
it is to keep up with the younger
athletes, and he's still competing.
Yeah, exactly.
And Jeff Adler, who won the games, FYI.
Yeah.
Is it?
And Adler's a little bit bigger than
Fraser.
Plus the toll it takes on your body.
Like all that competing,
all that training.
There's only one human being that I have
not seen it take a toll on yet.
And we're going to talk about her real
quick.
Right.
I would also say this.
When Matt was competing,
when Matt was winning consecutive titles,
beating the crap out of everybody,
he only had to worry about himself.
That's it.
No kids.
It was him and Sammy.
That was it.
She took care of him.
They lived their life,
did whatever they had to do until they
didn't.
And, I mean, Sammy,
they had a kid within, what,
a year of him being retired?
maybe a year and a half,
something like that.
So that's a planned thing.
I'm not saying you can't be competitive
having a child, two children,
whatever the case may be, right?
Roman's got a baby.
Roman's kid is, what, probably four now,
something like that, three,
somewhere up in that area.
I'm not exactly sure.
And he's still fairly competitive when
he's not injured like he is apparently
now.
But it changes the dynamic a lot, right?
If you are any sort of a father
worth your salt, right?
There's other things that matter, dude,
and they come first.
But it's even beyond that.
Here's the deal.
When Matt was great,
he was his entire camp's priority.
Yeah.
He was Sammy's priority.
He was O'Keefe's priority, right?
And all the other coaches he had and
nutritionists and all of that stuff,
right?
Yeah.
He was all of their number one priority.
Listen,
I know a lot of mothers who love
their kids.
I am telling you,
Matt is not the number one priority
anymore.
No.
I lived that life.
I went down on the priority list the
minute my daughter was born.
And that's something you just have to
understand.
Yeah.
It's all right.
It's just life.
Right.
And I see that like his mental game,
like Frazier's mental game was top notch.
But it was,
he had to like walk away for a
couple months just to get back to that.
Like now that you've not done that for
six years,
it's not something you can just flip a
switch and it comes back.
Matt was also, when he prioritized,
he prioritized.
He missed things.
Like major life events,
people's weddings and stuff like that
because he was training to win the games.
He wasn't training to make the games.
He was training to win the games.
And so like nothing else mattered.
And you don't just dive back into that
with two kids.
Like,
you can't just turn that all off and
go, well, that's all I care about anymore.
So, you know, to hell with them kids.
I'm not dealing with any of that.
Now, you can still go do things, sure.
But to be the Matt Fraser that we
all knew, six years later, five, seven,
whatever many years it's going to be at
this point, no, dude, I don't see it.
And what made him great is he was
willing to hurt more than anybody else.
Right.
That was his superpower.
Ain't nobody going to hurt like I hurt.
Absolutely.
And to convince yourself it's worth going
to that place again is not as easy
as some of the speculation that's being
thrown about.
Yeah.
I just don't see it.
uh in the chat i just can't see
him going indie with his old mentality uh
and how he talked about it exactly exactly
tristan understands apparently we're
making joseph high he's having lunch time
at eighteen thousand feet it's a really
specific number
I think he's undercover on a plane with
snakes.
But he's tired of them.
I bet he's tired of them.
Oh, man.
But anyway,
I just wanted to get that out because
I see like Dallin Pepper and Justin
Medeiros all talking talk.
Oh, they did a whole segment on him.
Yeah.
Right.
But I see like there is reverence for
him and how great he was.
As there should be.
He earned that.
right and he deserves all of that respect
absolutely every bit of it but to wrap
that engine up again i think is a
much bigger step than and they probably
they just probably did it as a
conversation piece and not a thought out
piece
because we do that a lot on this
show.
A lot of what we talk about is
not thought out.
It's just viewed from our, our,
our mouths.
And when you do a podcast,
sometimes that's the best content,
but yeah.
Uh, Ramirez is going back to Cali, Cali,
uh, for some California.
No, probably not.
Oh,
And of course,
the woman always has to jump in and
correct the man.
Because wouldn't you actually be at thirty
two thousand feet?
Are you flying the plane, Meg?
Lead that man along.
Corey,
what you are saying is with respect.
What Frazier was,
how good would seventy five percent of
what Frazier was be today?
Nobody knows what percentage of Matt
Frazier that he would have today.
I'm just saying it would be an uphill
climb to get back to what he was.
Do I think he could do it?
I think he could do it if the
stars aligned and he was willing to do
it and his camp was willing to go
all in again.
I just don't think any of that's going
to happen.
It's a big ass to go from,
and not nothing.
I know he's been working out, right?
I mean, that's just mentality stuff,
right?
He just been sitting around for six years,
sitting on his ass doing nothing.
But there's a different level of,
the reason Tia has been able to have
a baby, come back, have a baby,
and possibly come back again like she's
doing is because she never stopped
training during any of it.
She trains like a psycho the entire time.
When Matt walked away,
he visibly got skinnier.
Everybody saw it.
I was like, damn,
that dude doesn't even look the same
anymore because he had to work to maintain
what he had.
You don't just pick that back up.
Eating is a job.
Yeah, man.
Not an easy one.
Not an easy one.
I'm with you, Joseph.
I'd love to be just twenty five percent
of what you used to be.
Dude, I take five.
I would like to be able to just
add our size, his size and my size,
be able to row a quarter of how
good he could actually row for what the
size was.
It's ridiculous.
Tristan's right.
It's a lose-lose for him to do it.
Absolutely.
There's nothing to be gained by coming
back.
No.
He's not going to compete in Masters.
That's not going to happen.
He's not going to do...
If he does a Xenon or an Ethics
or something like that,
that makes way more sense.
That's a one weekend thing.
That's how you can get fit,
get yourself really fit, get out there.
Holy shit, Matt Fraser's doing a Xenon.
How cool is that to see?
And he could do it as a partner.
Yeah, absolutely.
Just for fun...
I don't know.
Avera says,
I think I'd actually prefer to see Mal
come back than Frazier.
Mal is still young and unfulfilled.
I don't think Mal's ever getting back to
that headspace again.
Once you leave that realm,
like look at a boxer that's retired and
they come back five years later,
still fit, still can do all the movements.
But once you leave that all-in mindset,
it's hard to get back there.
I'm not saying it's impossible by any
stretch of the imagination,
but it's not the norm.
It's not, you know,
it's a slow ramp up to that over
your life to where Mal was in twenty
twenty one, twenty twenty two.
That was her all in.
She had built up to that point.
She had calloused her mind.
She was all in and she did it.
She went so hard at it that it
snapped.
It wiped her out.
Walk away.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So after you get to a point where
you snap and walk away,
how do you push yourself to that limit
again?
I would say the exceptions are guys like
Mike Tyson.
You hear Roy Jones?
No.
If you listen to Roy Jones talk about
when he fought Mike.
Oh, come on.
Roy Jones was seventy two when they
fought.
OK.
And Mike was fifty three.
And he said, that dude is still stupid.
And it's because Mike never loses that
mentality.
It never goes away.
But he's the exception, not the rule.
I'm not saying his body was still doing
all the same things he could,
but his mind is still like that.
When he gets in the ring,
he's in the ring.
He doesn't give a shit about anything
else.
Exception, not the rule.
I've watched every single Mike Tyson fight
that has ever been.
The dude changed.
The dude changed.
He got a lot of money,
and things changed.
He was not the fighter he was.
He was not willing to do the training
that he did before.
I would argue that.
Now,
when he gets in those three minutes in
a round,
does he want to fight like he used
to?
Sure.
But he didn't do the training for the
six weeks before to get to a spot
where his body would allow him.
And that's where the change is made.
I'm not arguing that.
I'm arguing that when he gets in there,
that killer is still in there.
Because it never goes away.
He doesn't know anything different.
Right,
but it's not about the killer in the
ring.
It's about the killer in the barn and
the killer running the training montage.
Right, all of that stuff.
That's when the killer still has to be
there.
Can you do it every day of the
week for the six months leading up to
that?
I don't doubt that Frazier could walk into
Madison or Albany and turn it on for
a game.
Sure,
but could he do it for the six
months getting him ready for that?
No, he's a different person now.
That's the piece that's missing.
All right.
All right.
he became the Rocky versus Clubber Lang in
the first fight.
Yeah,
the Rocky that had the big house and
had the big...
And how did they have to fight Clubber?
He had to go to the hood in
LA and train with Apollo and get dirty
in the crusty gym again and have the
lash out of Adrian telling him that he's
wasting away his opportunity.
And why?
It's money.
It's money.
It's just money.
I wonder if a less invested,
more balanced amount actually could be
more effective than the version it broke
down.
I think in this day and age,
if you're not coming at
the field is getting too good to not
come at peak.
Yeah.
I was going to say the same thing.
Like I Haley, Haley's a perfect example.
Yeah.
Like she backed away.
But let's be clear.
Mal was better than the best.
Mal was better than the best Haley.
Yeah, absolutely.
But what I'm saying is that Haley comes
back and everybody has all these
expectations, right?
Oh, look at her.
She's put on weight.
She looks fantastic.
She's clearly going to be stronger, blah,
blah, whatever.
And.
taking that time off,
taking that time away and whatnot,
a little bit less invested.
Now she comes back and instead of being
somewhere hanging around the top five,
top whatever, blah, blah, blah.
Now she's coming down a little bit and
like the expectations have fallen off of
her.
Is she having more fun?
Absolutely.
Is she a threat to get on the
podium?
Nobody thinks that anymore.
In my forties,
I would dunk a basketball every day just
so I could.
I quit for like six months and poof,
it was gone.
Six years is a long time.
It's a great analogy, Larry.
Yeah.
If you don't lose it,
you don't use it, you lose it, right?
It's a perishable skill.
Yep.
It is a perishable skill.
Even mindset.
If you don't use the mindset for a
long time, it's hard to get it back.
Yeah.
Yes, Leto.
Let's just say it's hard to be at
the very top and not be a little
mentally ill.
Right.
All right.
I was going to do this.
I'm going to close this down.
I want to share this that popped up
on my feed today since we're talking about
all this stuff.
Might as well talk some more
hypotheticals.
And then final question.
How excited are you at the thought,
because I'm very excited about this,
of Tia coming back next year and you
two competing head-to-head at the CrossFit
Games?
Yeah, I mean,
I did team with Tia for the Waterpalooza
SoCal event and that was really fun.
I got to know her quite well and
she's, yeah, she's fun.
So that would be
one hell of a weekend.
Yeah.
Have you heard much?
Is she coming back?
I have not heard.
I haven't asked her directly.
I'm getting, I kind of,
I kind of think she will.
I believe she will.
She's too much of a competitor and seeing
your dominance and your, your rise.
I think she'll want to take a stab
at it.
And then final.
She'll want to take a stab at it.
I love the, why?
What have you heard?
Yes.
Yes.
That was my favorite part of the whole
thing.
Cause, cause she,
cause Kregel talks the tough, like, Oh,
that'd be a hell of a weekend.
Yeah.
Uh, but what have you heard?
Yeah.
So have you, have you heard,
have you heard anything?
Like what have you heard?
Yeah.
that's hilarious that is absolutely if
you've heard something i i need to get
to the gym right now so i would
yeah like it's like a it's a moment
of panic right like what have you heard
i don't because like she's got all these
other things going in her mind right like
wfp finals and uh rogue and blah blah
blah like all the stuff she's training for
and all of a sudden dave brings up
tia like
relatively casually, you know, wanting,
asking her the question.
Everybody wants to know kudos today for
that.
And she just, Oh yeah, no,
that would be fantastic.
It'd be a great weekend.
Wait, wait, what have you heard?
I think, uh,
it's it's like the when you're when you
like dream about what might be or what
could be coming and but it's all like
hypothetical and it's out in the future so
you don't really know and then all of
a sudden someone slaps you with reality
that yeah this is going to happen and
i in that moment because the way dave
was talking about it it was like he
already knew something and she was like oh
oh do we know is that a thing
is that is that a thing that's going
to happen
Whoa, whoa.
Okay.
Because if that's a thing...
I need to get off this boat.
I need to go.
I need...
I got to go get on a bike
or something.
I got to... Oh, that's good.
That is really good.
That needs to be...
Did you clip that or is that a
clip that's already out?
That's a clip that's out.
Good.
That's going to get a lot of traction.
And so...
When we talk about Tia,
it's a completely different story than
what we just talked about with Mike Tyson,
Mal, and Matt.
Because Tia has never stepped away from...
Tia's never stepped away from this.
That woman probably is competing with
Shane in the house over sweeping the floor
or running down to the mailbox or...
I wouldn't want to play cards with her.
Like just like, and not even like poker,
like battle just where you just throw one
down.
Cause as soon as she gets a win,
she's going to flip the table over.
Like, and, and she posted a workout today.
Yeah, of course she did.
I was like getting back after the birth
of the baby and doing all the like,
and looks.
Yeah.
Like Tia, like she didn't have a baby.
And so, like,
she is the one exception that the years
and years of doing all this stuff seems
to have taken no effect on her ability
to compete.
There's been very little degradation to
her ability in all of that time.
She just seems to be getting better,
which is frightening, really.
or not even that she's getting better,
it's that nobody seems to be able to
catch her no matter what happens.
She's on baby number two now, right?
Like you said, just posted a thing,
getting back into training, right?
It's October sixteenth.
I can guarantee you by December,
she's going to be posting shit, you know,
somebody's going to be posting stuff for
her doing something ridiculous and
nobody's going to bat an eye about it
because it'll just seem like normal life.
juggling the two kids while snatching a
barbell like something that doesn't even
make any kind of sense and so all
the stuff we talked about getting back
into that dark space and that mentality
and tia never left no that's what i
was getting at if you don't if you
never leave you can't you don't have to
come back it's easy to get back you
don't worry about getting back if you
never leave
And like all of her content is always
like, well, you never know.
Well, you never,
like she never committed to a retirement
ever.
The closest she came was leaving her shoes
on the floor,
and then basically she went back and got
them afterwards.
I thought the only thing was Shane telling
Sean Woodland that she was going to
retire,
and Tia never said it publicly to anybody,
and then made Sean look like an ass.
Poor Sean.
I felt bad for him for that one,
dude.
For the last time.
Yeah.
No, Sean, not for the last time.
All right.
The chat's talking about it.
I was going to bring it up,
but here we go.
On the Australian boys, I think.
Did you miss your flight?
Just cancelling a couple of hours ago.
Oh, no.
Yeah, I'm just moving to Wisconsin,
Madison.
Oh, really?
Yeah, yeah.
Maybe, yeah, maybe.
That's exciting.
Maybe Saturday.
Yeah, yeah, Saturday.
The games isn't there anymore.
I'm just making sure everything can, yeah.
You've always loved Wisconsin, right?
Or Madison?
I think that's enough of that.
He basically says he's moving from
Cookeville to Madison and that he's doing
it because of the education for his kid.
That the education is better in Madison.
I have weird thoughts in my head.
Yes.
I'm not sure I want to be a
dense updates part two.
So I'm going to leave those thoughts in
my head.
Yeah.
We'll leave that alone.
But the other thing is what the hell
is happening at mayhem?
Haley leaves.
Austin is rumored to leave.
Roman leaves.
I mean, he's leaving Tennessee.
Does that mean that he's leaving mayhem?
I mean, does anybody know?
don't know what to know aside from
whatever he just said what the hell is
in madison
Well,
Carolyn Prevost would tell you a really
good college where she won a couple
national championships.
Great.
You think that's where Roman's going?
Well,
that was his first home in the United
States, just so everybody is clear.
Right.
The people who helped him get out of
Russia to the United States were from
Madison and
That was his first home.
That is where he first trained.
And it wasn't until six months in that
he tried out a couple gyms around the
country and ended up deciding on Cookville
and Mayhem.
I mean,
the man can move wherever he wants to
go.
It does seem like there's a mass exodus
going on, but like,
there's also a bunch of people that are
still there.
Quinn Robinson.
Still there.
Freaking, what's his name?
Everybody's rumoring that he's leaving,
the rabbit farmer,
but he hasn't actually gone anywhere yet
as far as I know anyway.
Well,
I guess some proven coaches have said it,
but it's not officially confirmed by any
social media post.
And I guess in this day and age,
if you don't see it on Instagram,
it's not real.
I can tell you I snatched one eighty
five Thursday morning,
but if you didn't actually see it on
Instagram, did it happen?
No one knows.
Shanna says Noah Wilson is there.
You have Quinn Robinson.
I mean, there's some young talent there.
I'm not saying that.
But all of the synonymous names with
mayhem are gone.
Like coaches have left.
Athletes have left.
It's just weird.
I know Angelo is still there,
but to see Angelo DiCicco on a whip
team as opposed to a mayhem team was
just bizarre.
But again, they said they were done,
and so they recruited four new people.
I could not...
put the two things together in my head
to save my life.
Like watching, because I watch the teams,
because I know people that compete on
teams fairly regularly.
So I'm one of the few people who
actually watches teams and cares about
them.
And I kept saying,
Angelo DiCicco and not on the Mayhem team.
And I was like,
that does not compute in my head.
But it was a thing.
But I mean, clearly he's still there,
right?
So, yeah, I don't, I don't know.
Something's going on over there.
Like people don't leave for no reason.
People don't move away from,
for no reason.
People don't, you know,
and maybe it's just stages of life type
stuff.
And it's just the fact that you don't
get to see it or you do get
to see us to say more often now
because of social media, right?
Because everything is instant right at
your fingertips.
You find out the second things happen,
right?
uh that you get to see more of
it and you realize that more of it
that that's happening but it doesn't seem
to be happening at brute it doesn't seem
to be happening at proven it doesn't seem
to be or if it does maybe i'm
just not in those circles or maybe it's
more publicized because it's mayhem and
mayhem has been around forever and it's
rich's place and i don't know
Mayhem's that place that you looked at as
it is the rock of the community.
Like it will be here maybe longer than
CrossFit.
And as an affiliate,
it's probably doing just fine.
Oh, I'm sure.
I'm sure their affiliate fees are covered
by their memberships.
Right, and their programming.
Because I know tons of gyms that use
their affiliate programming.
I can think of three that are within
an hour of me.
I think they said at one time they
had three thousand gyms using their
affiliate programming.
I can think of three right now that
are all an hour from me, roughly.
all that all follow i mean it's weird
it's it's crazy yeah um brute too young
and small mayhem so big easy to notice
major athlete changes i actually think
I hear what you're saying, Shanna,
but I actually think if someone left
Brute,
it would be a way bigger deal because
they're small.
Well,
and because of their recent successes,
right?
I mean,
they're literally shuffling people onto
the podium.
Like,
get up on there because that's what we're
doing.
So, yeah.
I mean, think back to Underdogs.
When Ricky left, when Danielle left,
the news that that made was massive.
Right.
Because they were much smaller than like,
I couldn't even really tell you the Mayhem
roster anymore.
Because one,
it got so big that I couldn't even
keep up with who the athletes were.
I'm trying.
So the initial two males that come to
mind are Noah and Quinn, right?
Right.
And I'm not going to – because I
know like Gi is probably still there,
I think.
Yeah.
As far as I know,
Gi is still there.
But like as far as the – on
the female –
I know Caroline Klutz is a mayhem athlete,
but you're not talking...
And that's probably it.
We are in this got-to-have-it-now world
where patience is way less key to success
in some people's minds.
And that's why Brute is getting inundated
with people.
That's why Proven is getting inundated
with people.
Because of their recent successes,
they are...
People are looking for that quick fix.
It's the Sarah Sigmundsdottir syndrome.
Who's on her seventh comeback at this
point?
I stopped watching the videos and I love
the girl to death.
She seems like a fun human being to
be around.
All positive, all smiles, laughing,
giggling, cutting up the entire time.
Sweet baby.
Either go get yourself in the master's
division where you can compete because
it's only five workouts at a time or
like start whatever your, your, Hey,
follow Sarah Sigma's daughter channel and,
you know, grow your YouTube presence.
I don't know.
There you go.
Apparently,
she launched a fitness program,
which is good.
She ought to have enough coaching
experience from her eighteen different
coaches that she's had since twenty
fourteen to be able to put enough stuff
together to have a fitness program.
You know what I feel like right now
is that teacher where the kid called off
sick,
it wasn't going to be at school and
see that state see them texting with the
other students.
Like, oh, right, right.
I had a doctor's appointment.
Yeah, that is fantastic.
And then the Pancheck piece,
if they wear the Mayhem shirt,
it's a name only.
They're all up in Cleveland.
They're all working out at Mentality or in
Scott's Garage or in Saxon's Garage.
They are their own mini camp again.
I was about to say,
and they're writing their own stuff.
They're not getting on the Mayhem app and
doing what's Rich doing or whatever that
program might be,
whatever that ends up looking like.
No, they are getting in there.
They have enough knowledge between the
three of them to write their own stuff
on the board.
It was telling that Mayhem didn't field a
camp at SoCal.
Battle of the camps did not include
mayhem.
Because I am betting you, I'm betting you,
Dylan,
when he thought up this idea and wrote
down the list of camps,
I am betting you, dogs to donuts,
that TTT was not listed above mayhem.
Oh, no.
No.
TTT brought three Masters athletes.
I mean, come on.
The male side.
They actually were fun to watch.
I'm glad it turned out that way.
They're the three best friends that anyone
could have.
Of course they were fun to watch.
They were absolutely fun to watch because
if me, you, and, I don't know,
pick a person, me, you,
and Vicky were on a team,
we'd be fun to watch because we'd be
fucking cutting up the entire time, right?
Doing stuff, cool, awesome.
Doesn't mean we're going to be real good.
It just means that we'd be fun to
watch, right?
Relative to whatever field that we were
out there on.
Same thing with them three guys.
They are fun to watch because they've been
knowing each other forever.
They're really good friends and they're
really fit.
Yeah,
of course they're going to be fun to
watch.
Hell yes, they are.
Is TTT as a camp going to be
listed above Mayhem?
And I don't think it brings,
their names don't bring people to the
party like the Mayhem names used to.
No.
And that's nothing against them
whatsoever.
Like,
them three dudes is legitimate monsters.
But, I mean, come on.
Now,
there may be a day in the future
that Lydia, Annika,
and Hannah bring people to the table.
Yeah.
But even at that,
they're not a Hayley Adams yet.
I think Rich attracted a lot of athletes
and he has less and less to do
with competitive CrossFit now.
I think you're onto the right point,
Terry.
But I think the biggest thing is Rich's
life has gotten in the way.
Yeah.
He has three kids, all playing sports,
all doing activities,
and he's just not working out as much
anymore.
It used to be Rich would write a
program,
he would work out and invite everybody to
come work out with him.
And that just doesn't happen anymore.
He's got to work out when he has
time,
which is probably early in the morning or
late at night because he's running kids
from here, there, and everywhere.
And so his presence is probably not at
Mayhem, the affiliate,
or the barn like it used to be.
he is probably called in when they need
to when they need him for something kind
of like last year or year before that
whenever uh ben and blair had him helping
with the programming for uh for ncc right
hey man can you mind come take a
look at these with us and whatnot yeah
absolutely so i do i make time for
that
Yeah,
I do think he's involved in competitive
CrossFit in that way.
I do think he consults.
I do think he programs.
I do think he reaches out and talks
to people.
But he's not doing the day-to-day stuff at
his gym like he used to do where
you could go hang with Rich for the
day.
Yeah.
You show up and just, hey,
let's go do stuff with Rich.
Yeah.
Thanks, Yvonne.
Wherever Lydia goes,
there will be fish heads.
I was trying to explain that.
So Jameson was watching,
my eight-year-old.
We were watching that,
and they said her name, right?
And Lydia Fish, whatever.
And Jameson looked at me, she goes,
her name is Fish?
I said, yeah, baby.
Her last name is Fish.
I said...
her fans call their self fish heads and
she was mortified until i showed her a
picture of the fish heads with the actual
fish head on and she then she was
fine with it yeah made your oldest
standard jaw it's weird you people in
louisiana take fish heads and make soup
out of it it's a different type of
relationship hundred percent uh shana says
i wonder if mayhem is concentrating more
on religious projects and base i don't i
really honestly think
that it is Rich is so busy in
life that the CrossFit thing has fallen
down the priority list.
Just like when my wife had a daughter
and I fell down the priority list,
Rich has three kids and the mayhem empire
has dropped down a notch on his priority
list.
Kids, wife, mayhem.
And God's probably up there too.
It's probably God, kids, wife, foot.
Yeah.
It's like the Marine order hierarchy.
I will say this.
So like at beach brawl a couple weeks
ago, mayhem is one of the sponsors, right?
They didn't have an actual tent,
like a mayhem tent.
Like, you know, people open it up,
you know,
They got a tent and they got all
their logos and shit on it.
They just had one year to go to
Academy Sports and Outdoors.
And they were selling their shirts out of
it.
And Luke Parker was there like hanging
out, talking to people.
That was it.
That did not used to be the case.
The last time I was there,
which was twenty twenty four.
Yeah.
The last time I was there in twenty
twenty four,
they had like the mayhem tent,
like capitalized mayhem tent.
Right.
With mayhem shit and written all over it.
All kinds of stuff set up.
Buffalo Brew was there like selling coffee
and whatnot.
It was a whole ass thing.
I just found that weird.
Like,
here's one of the sponsors of this event.
And they literally have some stuff I could
have brought with me in the back of
my Jeep if I drove it up there.
I don't know.
It was odd.
i think they have so much going on
now that some of their presence are going
to be like they they are going nowhere
right they are still going to be a
big brand in the space it's just their
focus on elite athletes is probably not as
high as it used to be yeah i
think that's what uh steve is saying right
here like maybe to focus on what he's
doing within the empire shifted rather
than less of focus overall
broadening the base rather than focusing
on a few athletes at the top,
at the tip of the spear,
that would make a lot more sense, right?
Putting more into the programming,
putting more into the day-to-day mayhem
athlete stuff, right?
Entirely possible.
We'll never know.
Well,
the guy's talking about getting a full
knee replacement by the end of the year.
Plus, he's hurt.
So he's not working out like he normally
did.
No.
Like, none of that stuff.
Although he is doing an Ironman.
Like in two weeks.
That's because he's just a psycho.
He is an absolute psycho.
I remember it was Hobart saying,
like back whenever basically Hobart was
basically living there and whatnot,
he said they would get done with whatever
session for the day, eat dinner,
and he said dinner would be like
eight-thirty at night, nine o'clock,
and Rich would be like,
we got to go run ten miles.
And they just...
go out the door and they'd run ten
miles and they'd come back and then they'd
go to sleep like that's an insane people
don't do that fyi that's just not a
thing that just happens
Um,
the last thing I wanted to just bring
up a little bit is I,
I watched killer on Savan today.
And it's funny because like at the
beginning of the week,
I was pretty upset at what happened to
Hiller and everything that YouTube has
done and pulled and I don't know,
got me into a space when I see
what he's done in a week.
Not even a week.
In five days.
Yeah.
I'm really excited about the prospects for
the future of different things.
But what I...
There was a comment made that I just
wanted to kind of talk out.
And that is that...
Andrew leaving YouTube and going to his
own platform hurts the other content
creators in the space because he's pulling
his audience away from the algorithm that
we all use.
That's a bold statement.
And my thought is, okay,
it's his life and he shouldn't be
concerned with any of us.
Not at all.
He had his whole life ripped away from
him.
And if he has a solution,
go do it.
Go be powerful.
Go take on the world.
I'm behind you.
Because if you show success,
away the monopoly of YouTube starts to
deteriorate.
Yeah.
Well, and here's the thing, dude.
If you are said creator who's, well,
he's pulling views away,
messing up the algorithm.
If your success is based on his success,
you need to work harder.
Right.
End of story.
Like if you're,
you think if Grant thinks that Grant's
success is tied to the Hiller success,
because God forbid Hiller says anything
without Grant saying something about it.
I love you, Grant.
I'm just picking on you.
He would never say that.
Then you have a, that's a you problem.
That's not a Hiller problem.
And that's not him taking away anything
from you.
That's you not good enough to stand on
your own.
That that's,
that's a mind blowing thing to me that
somebody would say something like that.
Well, he's just taking away stuff from us.
No, he's not.
He's saving himself,
which is what everybody should be able to
do at some point.
If you can't save yourself,
you can't save anybody else.
Good night, dude.
I'm sorry.
I, at the end of the day,
you have to look out for number one.
Yeah.
Right.
I love everybody in our chat.
I love my friends.
We talked yesterday about our little
circle of trust, you know,
that I love my people.
But at the end of the day,
if if I'm needed elsewhere to be able
to provide for my family,
that's what I got to do.
Yeah.
Right.
And so.
Anyway,
the other comment was it's hurting
CrossFit by him moving away from YouTube.
And this one got me fired up because
when CrossFit stops hurting themselves,
then I'll worry about where Andrew Hiller
is and how that affects CrossFit.
Because we have mentioned CrossFit media
and the lack of effort and the lack
of connection to different things in the
space is ridiculous.
It's comical.
It really, really is.
When you look at this...
We've had a discussion.
We don't need to rehash it again, but...
Their disconnect is actually comical.
It does not make it.
It's just silly.
And with everything, right?
We talked about it yesterday.
The stuff that we're supposed to care
about,
that you have absolutely no connection to
what's going on because why are you
telling me what to care about?
Mind-blowing.
But to think that it's going to hurt
CrossFit for Hiller to just shift from
here to here so that he can continue
doing what he was doing.
And to act like he did it,
that's implying that he did it himself.
For all intents and purposes,
YouTube fired him Monday morning.
He did not want this.
He did not ask for that.
If you listen to him this morning,
when he was getting this information from
other people that this might be a thing,
he went and scrubbed all of the videos
where he talked about it and had a
link to it, pulled them off.
He missed one, and the bots got him.
he said this morning so ain't like he
left because he wanted to i like the
convenience of everything being on youtube
we'll just have to change my habits go
to two sites it's not even that hard
it's so not even that hard
It's really not.
But I do understand that concept, right?
Sure.
On YouTube,
you just go video to video to video.
It tells you what you want to see,
so you don't even have to really search
anymore.
But maybe that's not a good thing.
Yeah.
It falls along the same lines of CrossFit
telling us what we should care about.
Right.
As opposed to me going,
I think I want to look at this
instead.
Hiller needs CrossFit more than not the
other way around.
See, that's where I completely disagree.
One, if you listen to Andrew,
I don't think this is going to be
a CrossFit-only channel.
No.
This is going to be a fitness hub.
Yep.
It is going to be a social media
fitness hub.
And the things that CrossFit refused to do
by partnering with, say,
High Rocks or Tough Mudders or whatever.
Whoever.
Whoever.
Andrew's going to do.
You're going to have bodybuilding.
You're going to have power lifting.
You're going to have high rocks channels
all on this.
No rep TV.
Maybe that becomes the hub for your
fitness stuff.
Yeah.
Cause he is down for tape.
Yeah.
Cause he's down for all of it.
If you talk, listen to him at all.
He looks at all of that stuff.
the bodybuilding content,
the figure championships, the whatever,
like he is into all that stuff.
So you can apply to be a creator
on his channel.
You don't have to be a CrossFit creator.
He's not limiting himself to that because
that would be silly.
He knows that.
The dude is not stupid by any stretch
of the imagination.
So, hey,
if you can provide something of value to
his channel by being a creator on it,
boom, he's going to put you on there.
Why wouldn't he?
That would be stupid for him not to.
We still have other social media platforms
that everyone uses, like Instagram.
I often learn about new videos from the
IG platform.
Same, same, same, same.
Usually, I don't – because I get –
I always say I don't get notifications on
my phone.
YouTube does send me notifications.
Most of the time, I don't read them.
So I will get some from that.
But nine times out of ten,
I know that there's a new Hiller video
or knew that there was a new Hiller
video on YouTube because he made a post
about it on Instagram.
So now I just got to go somewhere
different.
It's really not that hard to do.
It's just not...
Thanks, Yvonne.
What's up?
Clydesdale's joining No Rep TV.
Listen, to me,
everything's on the table at all times.
I have no allegiance to YouTube,
but I'm not doing this to make a
ton of money.
I am close to retirement on my job.
I'm just trying to have fun with it
until I get there.
I don't know if I'm right for what
No Rep TV is going to be.
I don't know what the vision for No
Rep TV is going to be.
I don't think this show would be on
No Rep TV by any stretch of the
imagination.
Yeah,
I don't think this show in its current
format, which is lack of format.
Which is no format.
Would fit with what they're trying to
accomplish over there.
Does that make us the Seinfeld of lunch
shows?
Because it's a show about nothing?
Yeah.
Now, the Sunday show, I think,
aligns with... The Sunday show, for sure.
With what he's doing.
And it has way more following,
way better numbers than this show,
and is probably better equipped to move
over to No Rep TV.
If we...
But I would not make that decision
exclusively even though I own all of this.
I would talk to my people and see
if that's something that we were all
willing to do.
Right.
It's a whole different relationship at
that point.
But it's wild to me that people have
those thoughts because you're basically
rooting for him to fail in my estimation
by saying, whoa.
CrossFit needs Hiller.
No, they don't.
They need to get out of their own
way.
Basically,
they need to quit shooting themselves in
the foot.
Or Hiller's going to take views away from
everybody else.
No, he's not.
Be better at your job if that's what
you consider your job to be.
It's stupid to think that just because
he's going to go on his own platform,
are you going to just stop watching with
the stuff you were watching and just be
on his?
There's nine videos on there right now.
Or eleven, whatever it was.
It's not a whole lot.
You're just going to spend your time.
It would take three hours to watch
everything that's on TV right now.
And he's going to put some more stuff
back on and he's got all his raw
footage and maybe he'll do it again.
Maybe he won't.
Maybe he'll just continue making new ones
from there.
But that is such a stupid way to
look at stuff that he's just going to
take stuff away from other people.
No, he's not.
I mean,
there's a lot of cool things about what
he's doing.
There is no algorithm.
You just go look at what you want
instead of being told this is what you
should watch.
It has a dislike button so you can
give feedback on the videos.
It's got a report button that reports
directly to Andrew.
That's my favorite thing he says.
Who does the report thing go to?
Me.
The thing that got me was...
intrigued is having creator contests with
a leaderboard and the top performing
creators could apply to be a paid creator
on the channel absolutely like that is a
that is a concept that I think is
pretty cool absolutely
Because the more diverse creators we get
out in there with some spotlight,
the better it is for the fitness industry
as a whole.
Sure.
um jacqueline's talking about censorship i
think that's what i think that's what
hillary's trying to avoid by creating his
own thing yeah it really reduces the
ability for people to censor him well if
it's your own platform you can say
whatever the hell you want now you're
talking legal things right now
that's the only thing he would be
restricted by right i mean within the
balance of free speech you can say
whatever the heck you want it's on your
platform you can do literally like this is
not your this is your platform but it's
not your platform right we still have to
go within the in the in the the
broad guidelines that is youtube right
like this is not my platform this is
stream yards platform this is youtube's
platform right
This is our show.
Unless they take it hostage too, which...
Unless CBS comes back by.
I'm not going to let that go.
Just not.
Yeah,
CBS giving me a copyright strike was wild.
It wasn't even a strike.
They just said like, we can use it.
We just can't monetize it.
This is not going to monetize it,
which is...
on it.
There goes that three dollars out the
window.
You know,
every time I do yay sports with the
Glintons,
I just know the next day we're getting
a copyright strike.
Oh, God, yeah.
I shouldn't call it a strike.
We get a copyright notice.
You cannot monetize this episode.
Right, because you did XYZ.
Yeah.
You talked about sports,
you son of a bitch.
It's not what we talk about.
It's what
what we show it's whatever clip yeah
whatever clip you pull up geez it's just
wild but um you know what the main
thing is though is that you get knocked
down you do that again man i'm gonna
drive down to freaking louisiana every
time i get that song out of my
head you send me a clip with it
on the soundtrack i am literally dude i
am much bigger than you
And when we see and meet you in
person again,
I may kick the shit out of you.
Look, the one I sent this morning,
the series of various memes or whatever,
That was completely unprompted.
That just showed up.
And I was like, holy.
It shows up because you keep saving them
and sending them to me.
I didn't save that one.
That was a brand new post.
Oh, my word.
God, that was good.
Hold up, man.
The IG algorithm is going, man,
this dude must love Chumbawamba.
Clearly, he loves Chumbawamba.
And so they're just sending you more and
more Chumbawamba shit.
Hold up for a second.
Meg,
what exactly is going on that you're going
to have to show to yourself tomorrow?
What is so important that Meg needs to
get on and fly solo?
I am legitimately confused.
There actually is something important.
Tomorrow is fight for the fittest.
Oh, little G is competing tomorrow.
Yes.
Come on, man.
You're like,
I'm not even in the group chat.
And I know I am in a group
chat.
Um, I sent little G some money, um,
uh, for support.
Yeah, dude, I forgot about that.
Shows who's the bigger friend.
It does.
I'm terrible at shit like that.
If it's not written down, dude, somewhere,
I will one hundred percent forget about
it.
Meg, what time?
Actually, I'll text y'all.
Well, no,
say what time so people can go watch
it.
Yeah,
tomorrow on the Glinton Things podcast
channel.
At some point.
Little G is competing at Fight for the
Fittest.
Yes.
He was raising money for
Breast cancer awareness, maybe?
Let's go with that.
And so he is doing the workout.
Colleen will be his judge.
And they are filming it.
And it will be live on their channel.
Yeah,
they said he's been wearing himself out
practicing and just training and getting
ready for it.
It's going to be awesome.
Yeah, it was for breast cancer.
And he's raised seven hundred dollars
already.
Or as Meg says, the tatas.
Yeah.
She's a woman of culture.
She probably got a black shirt on today.
She may or may not have showered.
We're not real sure.
Yeah.
You know how the red shirts bring life
to you,
teaching you CrossFit and all the
methodology?
Meg is starting the black shirts to steal
all that away.
It's funny you mention that, dude.
I'm in my...
she's like the dementors from harry potter
i am i am doing the online portion
of my hybrid l-two right now so like
it's been me and chuck carswell and
everybody in the video's got a red shirt

When I was a teenager,
the bases confused me a lot, man.
I didn't really care about the bases.
One friend thought third base was this,
but it should be the first base,
and I got so confused.
It was like, who's on Abbott and Costello?
Abbott all day long.
Who's on first?
High school boy scoring.
Honestly,
I still don't really understand it.
I was just happy to see a girl.
The bases have rotted and are all mildewy,
and they're in the shed in the back.
They've been stepped on and beat up.
Ricky Henderson stole most of them.
It's fine, dude.
No big deal.
And Ricky would tell you that Ricky stole
them all.
Ricky would just like that.
Yep.
Anytime I'm scrolling through reels or
